Neb: I do not own My Hero: Academia. The following is a fanfic, based on my ideal Quirk from my Ideal OC from this show. His power, Sword and Shield. Hardening Skin that comes from the birthmark on his left arm, and his razor sharp energy he can create in the palms of his hands. His name, is Shoyomi Takashi.
Shoyo and Rasami waited in the club for a couple more hours after straightening things up. Hopefully they can get three more people to join the club, but Rasami wasn't going to hold her breath.
"So why do all this?" Rasami wondered. "Why aren't you using your birthmark quirk at a better school for heroes?"
"It's not that simple," Shoyo shook his head. "My family had grown up poor, and my parents had three mouths to feed. My eldest brother refused to work, dropped out of highschool, and then ran away from home. Then my parents died a year later."
"That's awful," Rasami admitted.
"It happens a lot in places like this, places full of delinquents," Shoyo continued. "That's why that man Stain started killing heroes, they were too lax and they allowed villains to roam in the darkest corners of the city."
"But that's not there fault," Rasami shook her head. "We've been in a golden age of peace until Stain showed up."
"Peace was dying out long before he started killing heroes," Shoyo corrected. "But I agree, it's not the heroes fault. People shouldn't take the words of a killer as gospel. Anyways, my goal is simple. I'm going to grow stronger and become a Pro Hero without joining a special school. I'll pave the road for an alternative method of becoming a hero, so that even the poor can work towards helping others. Without getting arrested anyways."
"You're doing all this because your parents died," Rasami assessed.
"I'm doing this because after my parents had perished, my siblings had stopped believing in heroes," Shoyo shook his head. "It's going to be pretty hard to not have faith when their little brother becomes one."
"That's a touching story," a short boy with blonde hair spoke up as he entered the classroom.
"Oh great, another bully," Rasami figured.
"W-what? No, I want to join the club," the boy explained. "I was just waiting for everyone else to leave before I did so. My name is Amin Asuan and I'm a first year like you two, but from a different homeroom."
"If you were waiting for everyone to leave you're quirk is probably weak," Rasami facepalmed.
"And your resolve is as well," Shoyo figured. "Who cares what others think?"
"That might be well in good for you two," Amin yelled. "But I've got some really annoying powerhouses in my classroom!"
"Exactly my point," Rasami nodded. "We aren't looking to get anyone hurt. So maybe you should continue to keep a low profile."
"I'll keep a low profile, but I want to join," Amin explained. "Here look." He headed over to the chalk board and placed his hand on it. Suddenly every current alphabet in the world started spreading across it. "My quirk is Imprint Transcription. My DNA can write things on whatever I touch with my index fingers. See, a very useful ability."
"That is... neat," Rasami admitted. "I always found that I could never write fast enough, and you have the power to just make words appear."
"It takes a lot of concentration," Amin explained as his nose started to drip blood. "Point is, if you guys want to pass notes and need a guy for recon, I'm your man."
"But you can't win in a fight," Shoyo pointed out. "Even with a normal person."
"It's true," Amin cried as he knelt down in a corner of the club room. "I've done all sorts of things to try and gain muscle, but my quirk absorbs my Protein intake when I use it, and if I write too much I get dizzy and my nose starts bleeding."
"That's a very serious drawback," they both admitted.
"But I suppose your power still is useful," Shoyo sighed. "Being a hero isn't always about punching. Plus we'll have a long way to go before we even get to do any hero work."
"Oh yeah, do you have any plans?", Rasmai realized.
"Nope, have no idea," Shoyo admitted.
Amin and Rasami fell over after hearing that. "Alright, I'm taking over as club leader then," Rasami sighed. "Jeez you're hopeless!"
"So am I in?", Amin wondered.
"We do need three more people after me," Rasami explained.
"I still don't like that you hide wanting to be a hero," Shoyo admitted. "But we've got a long way before any of us will become close to becoming one. So you've got time. Still, if you leave someone to perish because you're resolve is weak, you're out of the club."
"I suppose that's fair," Amin sighed.
The three students headed down to the gym next. It was getting late after school, but Shoyo wasn't the patient type when it came to his goals. He knew being a hero was going to take a long time, but putting a club together, in his mind, shouldn't.
"Just so you know the bigger the muscles, the more likely they are a bully in this school," Amin explained. "We aren't going to find a body builder who wants to help us, so why are we going to the gym?"
"I figured I'd recruit a couple people through competitive nature," Shoyo explained. "I know more people will show up at the club if we wait and give them a chance, but with the Class Rep wanting to scare away anyone with a subpar quirk."
"Such as long fingers, eyes sticking out of head, being an actual mouse, stuff that will rarely come up in hero work," Rasami added in for him.
"See she's not even denying it," Shoyo facepalmed.
"You asked me to join," Rasami reminded him. "I am out the moment we recruit normal people who just look funny. I will also insure that the club you want never sees the light of day."
"So cold," Amin responded surprised.
As the three entered the gym they saw five people were hanging out practicing basketball. It was two vs three. The team of three consisted of a jaguar man, a man who was built like slenderman but was also extremely tall, and a boy covered in tattoos with his head shaved. The team of two was a boy and a girl. The girl had tanned skin and white hair, her eyes were a piercing golden color. Meanwhile the boy had combed down brown hair and purple eyes. The two of them were wearing regular gym clothes, while the other three, upperclassmen were wearing basketball uniforms.
"Looks like the basketball team is already ahead of you on this recruiting mission," Rasami pointed out with a grin.
"Shut up," Shoyo yawned before heading over to a bench. "Let's sit and watch for now."
"Hey can any of you join the team of two?", the jaguar man asked. Basketball Captain Sakabuto, quirk being a Jaguar. "This is getting embarrassing."
"Not the short one though," the slenderman like character responded. Washi Hisari, quirk long limbs. "That would just make it more unfair."
"Shut up, we are just getting started," the tanned girl yelled.
"We haven't even used our powers yet," the purple eyes boy pointed out. "We can beat the three of you ourselves."
"Annoying," the tattooed boy sighed. "Hurry up and join them." Shin Zumaki, quirk Ink Manipulation. "I haven't used my powers either, my teammates are born and stuck always using their abilities because they are always a jaguar and always tall!"
"That's not the point," the tan girl complained.
"Alright, to move this along I'll join," Shoyo decided. "But I'd like to make it a real competition. I'm looking for at lest two more members to join my Hero Club, and I think this is the perfect place to start recruiting."
"From a basketball game?", Sakabuto responded.
"It'll show off your true power, what do you say?"
"I say screw the heroes and everyone who sympathizes with them," the tattooed boy yelled. He and the tall boy both started laughing hysterically.
"Will being in a Hero Club help my grades in any way?", the tanned girl wondered.
"If you join it will have to be for others, not for your own sake," Shoyo shook his head. "Once it's an official club We'll have to work hard to get it recognized if we want to make a career out of it."
"Even that is a long shot," Rasami admitted.
The purple eyes boy and the girl with tanned skin glanced at each other and then shrugged. "We are losing, so if you help us win, we'll think about it," the purple eye boy figured.
"No way, you have to be committed," Shoyo shook his head.
"What's your problem," Everyone yelled at Shoyo.
"I get it," Sakabuto nodded. "I enjoy your resolve. Now let's play ball."
"Even if you like my powers I'm not joining," Shin growled.
"Mean either," Washi agreed.
The ball was in the air and everyone started playing. Washi moved to grab the ball, but as he did so the tanned girl leaped up and got the ball before he could even touch it. "Wait what?"
Harane Mokimoni: quirk Enhanced Jump. She grinned as she tossed the ball towards Shoyo.
Shoyo caught the ball and started dribbling it down the court. The Jaguar was already on top of him and got the ball. "Unreal," Shoyo responded.
"No one can match my speed," Sakabuto yelled before making his way down the other side of the court. "Get dunked on!" He was to do a layup, but Harane was on top of him now with her Enhanced Jump. She got the ball from him and chucked it back towards Shoyo.
Washi moved in and got between Shoyo and the ball. "Nice try," Washi grinned. He caught it and threw it to Shin.
Suddenly the purple eyes boy closed the gap between himself and Shin in an instant. He got the ball from Shin as purple sparks formed around himself and then he dashed down the court dodging Washi and scoring a basket.
"What the hell are you guys doing?", Sakabuto yelled at the other two.
"Grr," Shin growled.
Yutsu Jamao: Quirk Kenetic Adaptation.
"Now that's a power," Rakami admitted from the sidelines.
"Incredible," Amin nodded.
Yutsu highfived Harane as the two of them made their way back to Shoyo.
Shoyo nodded before moving to stop the jaguar boy Sakabuto.
"Too slow," Sakabuto yelled before tossing the ball to Washi who scored a basket next.
Suddenly before anyone had time to think as soon as Harane got the ball she leaped in the air and scored a three pointer from the other side of the court.
"Good aim," Shoyo nodded.
The game went on for some time, but Shoyo's team managed to win by ten points. The score was eighty-four to Seventy-four. "Alright then," Shoyo nodded. "You are all free to join in my book."
"I told you no," Shin yelled.
"Yeah yeah, I heard you," Shoyo sighed before heading back to the stands. "Alright the offer is extended and my sister will murder me if I accidentally spend the night at this school.
"Yeah my parents won't stop texting me either," Amin nodded.
"Time to go then," Rasami agreed. "We'll meet back at the club room after school tomorrow then?"
"If there is a club room," Shoyo groaned. "I didn't ask the teacher for a time limit. I'm guessing by his expression he was against the idea of this club also."
"So then we're screwed before we had a chance," Amin sighed. "This is why I kept joining on the down low."
"Wait so you're club is screwed if you don't get members?", Harane realized. "That's so sad, of course I'll join."
"Do you want to be a hero?", Shoyo wondered.
"If I save your club, technically I am a hero," she grinned.
Shoyo grinned back. Finally someone who gets it, and Enhanced Jumping wasn't a bad quirk either.
"I suppose if Harane is joining," Yutsu sighed.
"He's acting like he doesn't have several All Might dolls," Harane pointed out.
"They aren't dolls!"
"Oh he's perfect then," Shoyo nodded.
"I'd love to join, but I wouldn't be committed," Sakabuto admitted. "If for some reason I find that I love heroism more than basketball, and that is a very big if, I'll switch over to you. Granted I'll be getting a career in basketball, so that is highly unlikely."
"Fair," Shoyo nodded. "I guess I have my four recruits, granted I am surprised it's so close. I expected a few more people to join."
"Again a lot of people don't like heroes here," Rasami reminded him. "You're lucky these two are indifferent."
"Either way, we'll begin our training tomorrow," Shoyo nodded.
