"Were you ever going to tell me?" Abby Harver held the acceptance letter in her hand, Michael Corinthos had packed up all of his things into the back of a black pickup truck.

"Aw, did you think you had finally gotten your claws into my son?" Carly Jacks smirked, leaning against the door.

"Mom, can you leave? I'll come and see you later. Please. You're making things worse." Michael begged his mother, Michael was torn.

"Of course sweetie, whatever you want." Carly walked out, glaring at Abby as she left the apartment.

"I'm not asking you to give up college for me, Michael. That's not the type of woman I am and I think you know that. Can you please tell me what's going on?" Abby crossed her arms, trying to be patient.

"I should have told you Abby, I'm sorry. I was going to but, there never seemed to be a right time. I didn't want to uproot your life here. I thought I was doing you a favor." Michael admitted, shoving his hands in the pockets of his jeans.

"Yeah, you should have. Michael, we're in a committed relationship. Or at least I thought we were but, I wasn't even on your mind! Life isn't made up of perfect moments, Michael. Maybe it was foolish to think that this could ever work, I think you should go." Abby looked away from him, she couldn't believe her Michael could do this to them.

"We can't work through this?" Michael asked.

"I don't know." Abby admitted, barely meeting his eyes.

"I know that I made a mistake and I'm owning up to that. Don't do something that we'll both regret. Please." Michael sighed, he really didn't want to lose Abby.

"Maybe a couple of months apart will give us perspective. You're still young, you need to focus on yourself for a while. Maybe when you come back for Christmas, we'll talk." Abby decided she had to remind herself that she was Michael's first relationship ever.

"Okay, I can do that." Michael nodded.

"Just know that I love you, no matter what happens with us." Michael looked back at Abby, before walking out of her apartment.
