1st Chapter: How it started...

Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Elizabeth. She lived in a small village called Ashford on the edge of a vast forest. Despite the simplicity of her life, she was a happy child with a wild imagination. Elizabeth's favorite pastime was exploring the forest. She would spend hours wandering among the trees, marveling at the different plants and animals she encountered. She had a special connection with the forest and felt at peace whenever she was among the trees.

One day, while exploring deep in the forest, Elizabeth stumbled upon a clearing she had never seen before. In the center of the clearing stood a magnificent tree, unlike any she had ever seen before. The tree was enormous, with branches that seemed to stretch up to the sky. As she approached the tree, she noticed a small door carved into the trunk. Without hesitation, she opened the door and climbed inside. To her surprise, she found herself in a beautiful room filled with light. The walls were made of polished wood, and the floor was covered in soft moss.

Elizabeth was greeted by an old man who introduced himself as the guardian of the tree. The man explained that the tree was a magical tree and that Elizabeth had been chosen to be its caretaker. Elizabeth was thrilled by the idea of being a caretaker of a magical tree. She accepted the responsibility and spent the rest of her days tending to the tree and exploring the forest.

But that part of the story happened years ago when Elizabeth was still young and innocent. As the years passed and Elizabeth grow she would visit the tree fewer times. She never saw the old man again, and the tree started losing its magic. A few years later when she was a teenager the tree seemed like an ordinary tree and she thought that everything was part of her own imagination.

More years passed, and Elizabeth left the little community to pursue her ambition of studying law. Her aspirations were now to study and obtain a fantastic profession, and she had forgotten about the tree. She was trying very hard to find her way into contemporary society, but there was always something lacking.

She was now an adult lady working as a Lawyer at one of the nation's largest corporations. She was the best at her job, and she rose quickly to a position of prominence in the firm. But she was not only successful in her job, but also in her personal life. She was engaged to one of the company's CEOs and they were planning to marry.

Peter Freeman was a successful and, some could say, beautiful man. He was a few years older than Elizabeth and was obsessed with his career. Elizabeth provided him with everything he need; she was intelligent, hardworking, and gorgeous. She was the ideal wife. They didn't fall passionately in love or anything; they both thought love was ridiculous. They just shared interests and could share an apartment. That was more than enough for them to start dating.

Elizabeth was living at the pick of her life. It was a stressful life, but a life she seemed to enjoy living. There was nothing wrong with the way Elizabeth was living, but her life lacked emotions. There was none!

The emotionless girl was traveling back home this weekend. She had never been back to the small village where she grew up. She was supposed to inform her parents that she was getting married. Pet and she had already set the date of their wedding and she had to inform her family. Elizabeth had a very large family, she had four older brothers, who were already married and had children. She was the last one who was getting married.

Elizabeth flew to Ashford and rented a car from the airport. While she was driving back to Ashford she was looking at the forest, which seemed darker now and so different from the forest that she remembered. The journey had been uneventful so far, but as she neared the forest, her car suddenly sputtered and came to a stop.

Elizabeth tried to start the car again, but it was no use. She was stranded on a deserted road, with nothing but the dark and foreboding forest in sight. She knew she had to find help, but the idea of venturing into the unknown forest alone was daunting. As she sat there, trying to decide what to do, she heard a faint sound in the distance.

She made a decision and exited the car, walking towards the weird sound. Deep down, she knew it was a stupid move, yet it was as if someone was beckoning her. She continued going till she came upon a very ancient and huge tree. The sound came from within the tree. She stroked the tree, not knowing what was occurring, and to her astonishment, a little doorway opened. The vortex had already pulled her in before she could respond...
