Moxxie pulled up the car towards what looked like a small abandoned indoor shooting range, with Millie in the passenger seat. All he had told her was that he wanted to take her someplace special to him, and that was this building. The same building where Moxxie learned how to shoot.

"This is the place." Moxxie said as he got out of the car. "Dad used to take me here for gun practice." He was of course referring to his overlord father Jessie and not his horrible biological father Smithson.

"Wow," Millie said as she followed Moxxie. "I bet this place was pretty big during its heyday"

"No, it was always kind of obscure. It's probably why it's shut down now, the only customers it had were me, Dad, and sometimes Mom when she came by to see us. But I loved coming here, I got to get away from the family I was forced into to be with the family I wanted."

Millie helped Moxxie break through the wooden bars covering and entered the dilapidated range. Inside were rows of stalls with wooden walls in between them, still standing despite the chunks fallen off of them. The window to their right, which looked like a checkout counter, was closed shut, no doubt rusted in place, and the seats in each stall were either broken or covered in cobwebs or both. It didn't look much better on the other side, where there were stacks of dust-covered human-silhouette targets in the far right corner, with one of them standing straight up in the middle of the range ready to be shot upon.

To anyone else, this place was a dump, but Moxxie couldn't help but have a big smile on his face as he looked around, the nostalgia washing over him. "Satan, it's like I'm going back in time. I remember when Dad used to check out the small guns from that window for me to use. Then we would practice for an hour or two, and sometimes Mom would come and we'd just… talk like a family."

Hearing all this warmed Millie's heart. This place wasn't just a range to him, it was a place where he felt loved and cared for, unlike how he felt with his biological family. Now even she was starting to see the beauty in this worn-down place.

Moxxie noticed the upright target and entered the middle stall, where he pulled out his gun and handed it to Millie. "Want to give it a try?"

Millie giggled as she took the gun. "Y'know this ain't my strong suit."

"Don't sell yourself short. I've seen you make shots most demons couldn't make."

Appreciating the compliment, Millie aimed the pistol and the silhouettes chest and fired 4 shots. Only one of them grazed the center target of the silhouette, the rest hit the sides, blowing off the dust. "Shit." Millie said.

"You've definitely gotten better. Here, let me help." Moxxie went up behind his wife and put his head over her shoulder as he held her arms up with his hands. He helped with her posture as she fired two more shots at the center target. This time they were both a bullseye.

"Fuck yeah!" Millie said.

"It'll come naturally to you and you'll be making bulls eyes without thinking." Moxxie said. "That's… what Dad used to say."

Turning around, Millie noticed the sad look on her husband's face. "What's wrong, sweetie?"

Moxxie sat down on the rusted chair next to them. "Seeing all of this, it's been so amazing. If only we had done this sooner… I'm sorry for not telling you about my family."

"It's ok, Mox."

"Is it? You talk about your family all the time, but one question about mine and I'd try to dodge it."

"Well, it's not like you wanted anything to do with those assholes."

"It's not just them, it's also Jessie and Amanda. They were very important to me, without them I'd probably still be with Smithson, molded into whatever he wanted me to be."

"You thought both of them were purged, it was a sore subject."

"You're right, but that doesn't make me feel any less guilty for not telling you. It just feels like I've been lying to you for all these years."

Millie put her hand on his shoulder. "You've never lied to me, Mox. At least not about the things that really mattered. Remember when you saw Amanda for the first time after Satan knows how long?"

"How could I forget?"

"You had every right to be pissed off at her, but you just said that it was ok and you were happy she was back. Why?"

"Because… because I knew that despite everything, deep down she still loved me, and she would never do anything to hurt me on purpose. And to me, that was all that mattered."

"It's the same with me, Sweetie. I don't blame you at all for not telling me about 'em, cause I know you had your reasons. All I cared about was that you loved me and would fight Satan himself for me. Besides, now we really know that as long as we're together, no problem can stop us."

Moxxie had a big smile on his face. "Why do you always know what to say?"

"Because you know what to say to me. If we're all bein' honest about family though, there's somethin' I need to tell you." Millie took a deep breath. "Remember when we just moved into the apartment and Sallie came over?"

"Yeah, something about trying to see if I was the right imp to marry you?"

"There's more to it than that. When I first told Ma and Pa about you, they were so pissed off. They told me I couldn't marry you, which pissed me off so bad that I ended up blocking them."

"So that call from your sister when we-"

"Yep, it was about that. I confronted my parents down at the ranch and we had a big fight. They threatened to ban me from the ranch if I went through with marrying you, and I said I was happy with that. Thankfully, Sallie was able to smooth things over with them."

"Oh Millie, why would you do that?"

"Because I love you, Mox. And if I had to do it again for you and the kids, I'd do it in a heartbeat."

"Well, I'm glad you're able to still see your family, but it means so much that you stood up for me like that. Satan, you're amazing."

"You're amazing too." Millie gave her husband the biggest hug she could muster, which Moxxie absolutely returned. "Though it would've been nice to know that yer uncle is the Godfather of Greed."

"Ok, that I didn't know."

Millie laughed. "I know, I'm just fuckin' with ya."

Eventually, the two continued their target practice. Moxxie once again stood behind Millie, helping her with her aim as she went for the center of the head. She fired a round and hit a bullseye, and as she shot another round and hit another bullseye, she felt Moxxie kissing her neck, causing her to moan.

"Oh, Moxxie." She said before she turned toward him and kissed his lips. Moxxie pushed her up against the stall wall as they made out, and Millie dropped the gun before putting her arms around him. The pistol fell onto the counter and fired off, the round hitting another bullseye in the head target and making a heart-shaped hole in it. The couple was too busy in their embrace to notice, right now they were focused on showing how much they loved each other.
