Chapter 1: And Then There Were 20

Deep within outer space, a battle was going on in the asteroid belt. A small gray ship with twin fins and green spheres on the edges is blasted with red lasers.

The lasers came from a much larger ship. It had two pincer-like protrusions coming out of the ship's front, generating electricity between them and covered with red spheres. This was the ship known as the Chimeran Hammer.

The green ship flew to the side and fired two green lasers back at it, causing some damage to the hull.

Inside the Chimera Wrath, two humanoid robots were at the controls. They were orange with a black faceplate, four orange dots, and shoulder spikes.

"Hull damage 20%, but the system's still operational," One of the robots reported.

The ship captain was a light green squid-like alien being with a red armored suit, gauntlets, tentacles for a beard, and piercing red eyes. This was the alien warlord known as Vilgax.

"I have come too far to be denied!"

As the smaller ship evaded the Chimera Wrath's lasers, both ships exited the asteroid belt.

"The Omnitrixes shall be mine and there is not a being in the galaxy that dares stand in my way!" Vilgax threatened.

Planet Earth-

A 10-year-old boy with black hair and electric green eyes in his class was folding down a paper airplane. He wore a white shirt with a stripe going down his shirt with a black collar. He also wore brown pants with extra pockets at the side and black sneakers.

This is Drake 'Benjamin' Tennyson, one half of a very unlike duo.

Drake then smiled and tossed the paper airplane that hit the teacher on the back of the head. The teacher, Mrs. Reolf put a glare on her face and he panicked and ducked under his book.

About 15 minutes later, Drake looked up at the clock, begging for the class to end as the seconds ticked.

"Come on! Come on!"

"And I just want to remind you all that I'm teaching summer school this year and it's not too late to sign up," Mrs. Reolf said.

"Yeah, right," Drake said as the bell rang once the clock struck 3:00 p.m. "Yes! Outta here!"

The students then stood up from their desks and left the room.

"Have a good vacation and I hope to see you all again in the fall," Mrs. Reolf said. "Oh, Drake."

Drake halted where he stood and turned to face the teacher.

"Could I have a word with you before you go?" She held up the paper airplane.

Drake groaned, embarrassed, before walking to the desk.

Meanwhile-

A girl resembling a female version of Drake sat at a desk. She had a similar hairstyle to Drake's, but longer in the back going a little past her shoulders, and had the same electric green eyes, tapping her foot on the ground. She wore a magenta version of Drake's shirt. She also had blue pants instead of Drake's brown ones and white sneakers.

This was Drake's twin sister, Raine 'Jennifer' Tennyson, the other half of this dynamic duo.

She stared at the clock with a nervous twitch in her head as she kicked her foot up and down, she looked like she was about to burst from the class at any moment.

"Come on, Drake's probably waiting for me at any moment now," She thought to herself, as she glared. "I need this vacation."

"Okay, class," The teacher said. "I hope you have a good summer and I hope to see you again soon."

That was when the bell rang and everyone shot out of their seats, especially Raine who grabbed her backpack and practically bolted for the door as she rolled her fist in celebration. "Woo-hoo! Now to find Drake."

-x-

Outside, a kid with black hair, a white shirt, a blue jacket, and glasses backed up against a tree as two bullies smiled mischievously.

The first was a boy with tan skin, black hair, brown eyes, and a blue shirt with a cash register logo. This was the leader of the two, Cash.

The second kid was another boy with fair skin, brown hair, glasses, and a yellow shirt with an army green jacket. This was Cash's lackey, JT.

"Normally, we'd take your money and beat you up," Cash said, punching his fist into his hand. "But since it's the last day of school, we're gonna give you a break. Now fork over the cash so we can get out of here!"

"Leave him alone!" Drake said from behind them as he glared at the two.

"Back off, Tennyson!" JT said. "This is none of your business."

"I said leave him alone!" Drake demanded again, still not relenting.

"Oh, looks like we got ourselves a hero!" Cash mocked as his eyes glowed red. "Suppose we don't want to back off."

The two then walked over to him. "What are you going to do about it, Tennyson?" JT asked as he generated several transparent copies of his hands.

That is a major problem here. Here on Earth, 85% of the population possesses a unique superpower called a Quirk.

"Hate to break it to you, but a Quirkless wimp like you doesn't stand a chance, same goes for that sister of yours." Cash boasted.

Unfortunately, the Tennyson twins were born Quirkless. Meaning they will never get powers.

But Drake didn't care and charged at them with a shout.

-x-

At the same moment, Raine had walked outside, taken in the first breath of fresh summer air, and exhaled invitingly. "Ah… So good."

Soon enough, three girls came out of the school and stood by her side.

The first girl had reddish-orange hair tied in a low hair bun, aqua-colored eyes, and wore an orange and red dress and black boots.

The second girl has short brunette hair and has brown eyes. She was dressed in a blue shirt, green pants, and shoes.

The third girl on the other hand looked the most bizarre. She resembled an anthropomorphic Griffin. Everything above her upper torso resembled an eagle with wings on her back. Everything below resembles a lion. She wore a pale white shirt with blue pants.

Raine smiled upon seeing them. They were Bianca Mechanus, Lexi Fauna, and Clair Griffith. Raine's lifelong best friends.

The great Raine and walk towards the bus ramp.

"So," Bianca said. "What are you doing this summer, Raine?"

"Drake and I are going on a road trip around the country with our Grandpa," Raine said. "So basically, we're going to have so much fun all around."

"No way! That's awesome!" Bianca replied. "I'm going to see if I can get a job before school starts again. Not much you can't do when you come from a family as wealthy as mine."

"Of course, Bianca," Clair said with a beaky smile. "But doesn't your family own a Tech company and is full of techno-themed Pro-Heroes? That's got to have some perks."

"Yeah, but at least I don't brag about it," Bianca chuckled as she and Raine looked at her. "What about you, gals?"

"I'm going to be traveling with my Dad this summer," Lexi revealed. "I am finally going with him on his expedition trips to study exotic animals in their habitats. It's going to be awesome."

"Of course, how fitting for the Jungle Girl," Bianca smiled as the three girls sighed at Lexi's nickname. "What about you Clair?"

"I'm just going to visit my cousins in Maine for four weeks, then we're coming back here. Sorry, my summer plans aren't that fun or cool." Clair sheepishly admits.

"That alright, Clair," Bianca notes. "At least we can both hang out after you get back."

"Thanks, I should get going, my dad probably wants me to finish packing." Clair assumed.

"I gotta run too," Lexi said. "My mom wants me home early to get the chores done."

"Same here, I'm going to help my folks with some work back at the company," She said.

But before the girls could go their separate ways, they heard the sounds of someone struggling.

Upon hearing that the group rushed over to the source and found another group of girls picking on two other girls.

The leader was a girl with well-maintained blonde hair in a ponytail, blue eyes, and dressed prim and proper.

But her appearance belies the rotten nature of her actions. She and her goons were harassing the two girls on the ground. One had goat horns on her head and the other had metallic skin.

"Alright, now that it is the end of the school year. So, it's best to remind everyone who this school's 'Queen' is and will be for next year." She says, smiling menacingly with her goons while holding out her hand to produce small sparkles of light. "Starting with you two…"

"HEY!" Raine shouted to the mean girl.

The mean girls turned to see Raine and her friends run in front of the two girls on the grounds. Raine's friends then activated their Quirks.

"You got a lot of nerve to do this on the last day of school, Angela!" Bianca growled, as her hands were covered by metal, making her palms glow yellow.

Bianca Mechanus! Her Quirk: TECH!

She can manifest technological tools out of her body and disappear when inactive! But doing so drains her body of energy.

"But not surprising since you've been doing this ever since kindergarten," Lexi noted as her forearms morphed to resemble a bear's forearms.

Lexi Fauna! Her Quirk: MANIMAL!

She can transform parts of her body and use the traits and abilities of any animal! But she can't transform into a full animal, so she looks like an animal hybrid.

"Though we guess some people will never change!" Clair added while using her wings to hover in the air.

Clair Griffith! Her Quirk: GRIFFIN!

She can do anything a Griffin can do, and then some.

"Besides, you can't beat us up without any backup," Raine said with a smirk, pointing out that Angela's goons had ditched her and had booked it.

"Whatever, 'Little Miss Quirkless' I can't take all of you even with Bianca helping you," Angela said, seeing only Bianca as the only threat as she made more light sparkles with her hands.

Angela Medea! Her Quirk: GLIMMER!

She can produce and control light sparkles from her body and use them in various ways.

As it seemed like an all-out brawl was about to go down, a teacher just so happened to walk by.

"Hey! What's going on here?" The teacher asked.

The girls immediately stopped and pretended like nothing was going on.

"Uhhh… nothing! Ma'am…." Bianca said, trying not to sound suspicious.

"Yeah… We were just… saying our goodbyes to each other before the summer…" Angela added.

The teacher then walked. After she was finally out of sight. Angela turned to others with an angry look on her face.

"You got lucky…" She said before walking off.

Once she was gone, Raine and her friends turned to help the two girls on the ground.

They thanked them and went on their way.

"Sigh… I'm so glad it's Summer." Lexi notes.

"Yeah, seeing those girls reminds me of when she used to torment the three of us," Clair recalled to Lexi and Raine.

"And only because I'm Quirkless and you two have 'Ugly' Quirks," Raine notes.

"Well… that was before Bianca moved to Bellwood," Clair added.

"People like Angela are another reminder why people want to be her- WHOOPS…." Bianca said before she almost said the 'H-word' in front of Raine.

It was no secret to anyone who knew the twins that she and her brother were Quirkless. Other kids used to pick and push them around, due to being unable to fight back against Quirks.

Becoming friends with Bianca made all that bullying stop for her, Drake, and her other friends. Even though all her friends have Quirks and want to be heroes. Raine did not want to be the reason her friends were not becoming heroes to make her feel better.

Raine sighed. "Don't worry about me…." She replied, with a smile. "You do what you want to do, even if I'm Quirkless, I'll always support you guys to the end."

Raine's friends smiled back, saying goodbye again for the Summer, and left for home.

"See you guys in the Fall!" Raine waved as her friends left.

As she watched them leave, she suddenly remembered she had somewhere to be too.

"Oh, crap! Drake! I almost forgot!" She facepalmed and ran off looking for her other half.

She finally found Drake and another kid hanging from a tree.

She sighed to herself and rubbed her forehead. "How does Drake get himself into these situations? No matter. That's what siblings are for."

She then started walking over to help them get down.

"Thanks a lot," The kid groaned. "They were just going to take my money and go."

"I was just trying to help," Drake said.

"Next time you try to be a hero, make sure you can back it up."

"Ahem." The two looked down and saw Raine waving at them. "Cash and JT, again?"

"Yes…" The boys replied.

"Where were you earlier?" Drake asked, "I could have used your help?"

"Sorry bro, Angela, and her minions were up to their old tricks again." She explained to her brother.

"Sigh… What's their deal anyway? They think just because they have Quirks, they can treat everyone like dirt." Drake asked.

"One of life's greatest mysteries," Raine replied.

Then they heard a honking and a yellowish-gray RV called the Rust Bucket pulled up to the corner.

The driver was a man in his late 50s with white hair and a red Hawaiian shirt with blue pants and brown boots. This was the twins' grandfather, Maxwell "Max" Tennyson.

"Come on, kids. We're burning daylight! I want to get to the campsite by nightfall!"

"Uh… Grandpa," Raine said, pointing to the tree.

"Little help…" Drake added.

-x-

After helping Drake and the other kid out of the tree.

"Thanks, sis," Drake said to his sister.

"Anything for you, bro," Raine replied.

"What about me, kids?" Max intruded.

"Sorry, Grandpa Max!" They both said in delight as they ran up to enter the Rust Bucket, hugging their grandfather.

"You have no idea how much Raine and I have been looking forward to this," Drake said. But then they turned to see a girl sitting by the window seat.

"Oh no!" Drake said, with a look of dread.

Raine just smiled at the sight of her cousin.

She was a 10-year-old girl with red hair in a pixie cut and wore a long-sleeved blue shirt with lighter blue in the center, a cat icon at the chest, and a blue hairpin. She also wore white pants and white shoes. This was our hero's cousin, Gwendolyn "Gwen" Catherine Tennyson.

"What are you doing here?! What is she doing here?!" Drake asked in a shout.

"Take it easy, dweeb." Gwen sighed. "This wasn't my idea. Someone convinced my mom that going camping for the summer would be a good experience for me."

"Grandpa, please… Tell me you didn't!" Drake begged.

"I thought it would be fun if your cousin came along with us for the summer," Max said. "Is that a problem?"

While Drake slumped in despair, Raine was the total opposite.

"Not at all." Raine smiled at her and gave her a nice hug. "Hey, Gwen."

"Well, I may have to go with my bad cousin, but at least I have my favorite cousin to balance it out," Gwen said.

"How can you possibly like this braggy know-it-all?" Drake asked as Raine sighed and shook her head.

"Because she's family," Raine replied.

-x-

Later-

"So, how was your school year?" Raine asked Gwen as the two girls talked.

"Same old, same old," Gwen said with a sigh.

"Same here," Raine said.

"I can't believe it." Drake groaned. "I waited all school year to go on this trip and now the Queen of Cooties is along for the ride. Uhh... No offense, sis." Drake said.

"None taken," Raine said.

"Hey! I had my own summer vacation planned out too, you know!" Gwen said, pulling out a schedule.

"Each activity is color-coated so I never did the same thing two days in a row." She explains. "But now, I'm stuck going camping with my geekazoid cousin for three months."

Gwen then looks over to her other cousin. "Though it would be worse if Raine wasn't here,"

"Geek." Drake mocked.

"Jerk." Gwen shot back.

Raine sunk into her seat and groaned.

"Something tells me it's going to be a long summer," Max said as they went onto the highway.

Realizing the road trip may be in jeopardy, Raine decides to take matters into her own hands.

"Hey bro, could we talk for a sec?" Raine said, pulling Drake into the restroom. "Look, Drake. I know you and Gwen don't get along. But remember she doesn't want to be here either, her being her is out of our control. There's nothing I can do about it now. So you both have to get used to it."

"Fine… I guess you're right, sis," Drake sighed.

"And she is not that bad, she is very reasonable and understanding if you give her a chance," Raine said as they walked out of the bathroom and decided to prove it. "Hey, guys. Since no one's chosen yet, is it ok if I get the top bunk?"

"Yes." Gwen and Max said simultaneously.

"See, Drake…" That was when she thought more about it. "Wait… am I going to fall out every time the RV makes a sharp turn?"

"Yes." The others replied.

Raine then sighed. "Okay, I walked into that one did I?"

"Yes…"

-x-

That night at the campsite-

The kids sat at the picnic table preparing for dinner as Raine hummed a great smile. Gwen then recognized the tune. It was one created by the twins.

"You know, I'll admit, your music is getting pretty good," Gwen admitted as Drake nodded.

"What can I say, you may call Drake a doofus, but he is getting really good at composing," Raine replied, implying the two are a package deal when making music. "He writes and edits and I sing and play. We may not have Quirks like you, but that doesn't mean we don't have skills."

As the trio sat at the table. Max came out carrying a bowl. "Chow time!"

Raine smiled. "Alright. I'm starving."

As he placed the bowl down, the three recoiled in disgust as the bowl was squirming with still-living worms.

Raine threw up in her mouth a little bit from the sight.

"Okay. I give up… What is that?" Drake asked.

"Marinated mealworms," Max said. "Hard to find them fresh in the States. You know, they're considered a delicacy in some countries."

"And totally gross in others," Gwen stated.

One of the worms squirmed out of the bowl and slithered away.

Raine gulped hard. "Okay, I'm sure they're a delicacy in those places, But right now, I have to agree with Gwen, Sorry Grandpa,"

"If these don't sound good, I've got some smoked sheep's tongue in the fridge," Max said.

"Ugh," Drake groaned. "Couldn't we just have a burger or something?"

"Nonsense!" Max stated. "This summer's gonna be an adventure for your taste buds. I'll grab the tongue."

Gwen and the twins looked at each other.

"Okay. I was looking forward to this trip. But if I knew this is what the food will be like, I would've just run home and never looked back," Raine stated.

"What about stuff from home? I've got a half-eaten bag of corn chips and a candy bar in my backpack." Drake said. "What have you got, Gwen?"

"Some rice cakes and hard candy," Gwen said. "And you, Raine?"

"A bag of beef jerky and a bottle of cola."

"Think we can make them last the whole summer?" Drake asked.

The kids groaned disappointedly.

-x-

Back in space, the battle was still going on as the Chimera Wrath blasted lasers at the smaller ship, landing a direct hit on the back of it, and destroying the engine.

"Their propulsion systems have been destroyed," The pilot reported to Vilgax. "Prepare to board!"

"I want the Omnitrixes now!" Vilgax stated.

However, in a last effort of defense, the smaller ship fired a green laser from the top fin and blasted the Chimeran Hammers's bridge, which caused a huge explosion, destroying the pilot and severely injuring Vilgax.

But not before the Chimera Wrath fired one last laser, which destroyed the ship and left nothing but the front.

The ship sent out a space capsule just before it was destroyed. The capsule splits into two, sending a pod hurtling toward Earth to find its destination.

-x-

Back down at the campsite, Drake was playing on his gaming system while his sister listened to music on her headphones while Gwen was on her laptop.

Max came to them holding a bag of marshmallows as they continued their activities.

"Who wants to roast marshmallows?"

The three of them just ignored him and continued.

"Okay. How about we tell scary stories?"

"Scarier than having to spend your summer with your reek of a cousin?" Drake laughed.

"Seriously, Drake!" Raine scolded.

Gwen glared at him and turned back to her laptop.

"I'd like to, Grandpa, but I'm busy looking up cures for extreme doofus-ness!" Gwen mocked. "Nothing yet, Drake, but let's not give up hope!"

"Knock it off, you two." Raine scolded again.

"Raine's right, We're all in this together. Either you can mope around all summer or we can have some fun!" Max encouraged me.

"I vote for fun!" Raine said, hopefully.

"I vote for moping." Gwen frowned.

"I'm going to take a walk. Smell you around, Gwen!" Said Drake as he got up, left his game on the floor, and walked into the woods.

Raine sighed and ran after her brother. "I'm going to go make sure he's okay."

"Alright, see you later," Gwen said.

"Drake, wait up!" Raine shouted as she ran to catch up with him.

"I think you're starting to grow on each other," Max said to himself.

"Maybe in another universe." Gwen sighed and went back to her Internet.

-x-

"Oh, man! This is going to be the worst vacation ever! I might as well have gone to summer school!" Drake complained as his sister came running up to him.

"Drake, Wait! You have to get along with Gwen. Please!" Raine said.

"Why?" Drake said. "What's the point, she actually can cure 'dofus-ness'?"

"Two reasons. One, she's family. And two, if you don't, you guys will make this summer a disaster for me and Grandpa."

Drake signed. "Look Raine, can I tell you something, and you can not tell Grampa or Mom and Dad."

Raine nodded. "Ok… What is it?"

"There was one major reason I was so excited for this trip. It's because we don't have to be bothered by people who show off they have Quirks," Drake admits.

Raine's eyes widened by her brother's admission.

"You, me, and Grandpa Max are Quirkless and I was happy about it just being us on this trip. But having Gwen here ruins that since she's a 'Quirk prodigy'. She's just a reminder of the fact we… I'm not… someone who could become a hero…or be counted on." Drake continued, sounding a little resentful at the end.

Raine couldn't help but feel bad for her brother. She and Drake wanted to be heroes for as long as they could remember so badly. They were excited for the day when they would get their Quirks. But that day never came….

Since then life has become very rough for them. Despite their parents and Max telling them not to worry about it. But those feelings remained and were magnified in Drake when Gwen manifested her Quirk and got massive praise and admiration for it. Since then, he and Gwen have been bickering to this day.

"Sometimes I wonder why we had to suffer. What did we do to deserve this? Or does the world just hate us?!" Drake added finishing his rant. Then leans next to a tree and sulks.

Raine wanted to say something but was interrupted by a loud boom.

Without warning, the two of them looked up into the night sky. A shooting star with a pink streak soaring across the sky.

"No way! A shooting star!" Drake said.

Raine smiled and put a comforting hand on Drake's shoulder. "Maybe this is a sign that our fortunes will change?"

But then, the 'shooting star' changed directions and started heading straight for them.

"Or not!" Drake shouts.

"Run!" Raine said.

The twins then turned tail and ran. But before they could get far enough, they were thrown by the force of the impact and landed in the dirt.

The comet that landed created a huge crater in the ground. The pair dusted themselves off, walked to the crater's edge, and looked at it.

"T-that's not a shooting star, is it?" Raine asked.

"It looks like a satellite or something," Drake notes.

The satellite was the space pod from earlier as it then cooled off from the heat of re-entry. Then, the ground that the twins were standing on suddenly gave way and the twins came tumbling down and found themselves facing the pod.

The pair of them looked nervously as the space pod opened to reveal two identical watches. One had a green faceplate and the other had a magenta one. They were black-framed with gray supports and had pink and green buttons on each of them.

"Watches?" Drake asked, looking up at the night sky. "What are watches doing in outer space?"

"I don't know Drake. But maybe it'll be safer not to mess with these things." Raine suggested.

But her warning fell on deaf ears as curiosity consumed Drake and he stuck his hand into the pod. The green watch suddenly unhatched itself jumped up, and clamped right onto his left arm as they both yelped in shock and awe.

"Drake!" Raine asked as the pink watch repeated its twin and clamped on her left arm. "What The heck?!"

"Get off me! Get it off, get it off!" Drake shouted in a panic as Raine tried to pull hers off, but the watches still wouldn't get off.

Drake struggled with the watch as he tugged and pulled. But it just wouldn't budge.

The two climbed out of the crater and climbed right back out. "Grandpa!"

-x-

Meanwhile, back at the campsite. Max realized that his grandkids still weren't back yet.

"Hmm…" Max wondered. "The twins have been gone awhile. But I guess they can't get into too much trouble out here."

"Unless they wind up bear food." Gwen jokes, as Max turns and glares at her.

"Hey, I can dream, can't I?"

-x-

Back with the twins, Drake stuck a stick under his watch and tried to pry it off, but it just wouldn't budge. The stick snapped off and he groaned.

"Cut it out, Drake! These things aren't coming off."

"Well, I don't see you trying anything, Raine!" Drake said to his twin.

"I… didn't want to mess with these things!" Raine argued.

He then fell to his knees and started fiddling with the watch.

"Drake, I don't think that-" Raine tried to warn him.

But Drake pressed something on his watch and the faceplate popped up.

"Woah! Raine, look at this!"

The twins watch as the X-shaped faceplate then folds to form a diamond shape and the silhouette of a flame-headed creature with thick hands appears inside it.

"Cool!"

Raine then placed her hands over her eyes. "I've got a bad feeling about this."

Drake then pressed down the faceplate and a flash of green light suddenly came out of the watch.

The watch sunk down into his arm and from where it sank, brown-orange rocks erupted from his skin and worked their way down his body until they reached his eye. Then, cracks appeared in the outline of his now rocky skin and the watch symbol appeared on his chest. His head erupted into flames with a face outline inside and he and his sister both screamed in hysterics.

"I'm on fire! I'm on fire!" Drake screamed and started running as Raine ran after him.

"Stop running! You'll make it worse!" Raine warns.

Drake then suddenly stopped when he realized something.

"Hey, wait a sec, I'm on fire and I'm okay." He notes and smirks at his sister. "Check it out, sis. I'm totally hot!"

Raine sighed and put her hands up. "Yeah… yeah… very funny Drake. Maybe you should take it easy. We still don't know what that thing even did to you."

Drake reassured her with hand signals as he turned to a dead tree. "Hey, I wonder…"

He then threw his hand out and tossed a fireball, which shot the tree branch off.

"No way!"

Raine saw what Drake was doing. But instead of being upset with him, she was more engrossed by the fact, Drake was even able to do that.

"Uhh… H-how did you know you could do that?!" Raine asked.

"Don't know I just felt I could and it happened," Drake explained. "It's almost like-" Then both twins realized, at the same time.

"You/I have a Quirk!!!"

"Is this what these watches do?!" Raine thought to herself, looking at her watch. "Does mind do the same thing?"

As Raine pondered about this discovery. Drake continued to see what else he could do. He put his hands together and pulled them apart to form a bigger fireball. He then tossed it and it destroyed three trees.

"Oh, Crap!" Drake said as he realized he had accidentally started a forest fire. "Uhhh… Raine!"

Raine snapped back to reality and saw what Drake did. She screamed at the sight of the brewing inferno.

"Drake! What did you do!" She shrieked at her fiery brother.

"It was an accident!"

-x-

From the campsite, Gwen and Max saw the smoke from the fire rising from the trees.

"What's that?" Gwen asked, getting up from her seat.

"Looks like the start of a forest fire," Max said. "We should let the ranger station know. Probably some darn fool out there, messing with something he shouldn't."

Then the two had a realization about that 'fool's' identity. "Drake!"

Max reached into a chest, got out two fire extinguishers, and handed one to Gwen.

"You'd better take this."

"What about Raine?"

"She's probably trying to help her brother escape the fire." Max theorized about the situation.

-x-

Back with the twins. Drake started stomping on the fire in a futile attempt to put it out.

"This would be so cool if it weren't so... not cool." He thought to himself. Then he looks over to his sister.

Raine was completely panicking and running out of options. So she ran to a part of the clearing away from the blaze.

"Raine! If you can hear me I could really use your help here!"

Upon hearing that, Raine came to her senses.

"He's right! I can be cowering right now! If there was any time for you to prove you're capable, it's now." She thought to herself as she started fiddling with her watch.

"Drake's watch gave him a quirk that turned him into some kind of fire monster. So my watch no doubt does the same thing!" Her faceplate popped up to reveal a silhouette of a large hunched reptile-like creature as she then smirked.

"Please let this be something that can deal with fire!" She then nervously closed her eyes and braced herself.

But before she could press down the faceplate, a flaming tree branch fell down in front of her, startling her, making her slam her watch against the rock and it released a bright flash of pink light.

Raine's watch sank into her skin and turned it a brownish gray. It started expanding and became rock solid as it radiated heat. Her arms grew massive and holes the bellows steam opened up on her shoulders, elbows, and her four-fingered hands. Her head was shifting into the shape of a reptile's and her hair molded into two cone-shaped horns that had steam funneling out. Once finished, her eyes shot open to reveal bright glowing pink eyes with no pupils. Out of her back, a short tail and two large rocky funnel cannons sprouted out her back. Once the transformation finished, the watch symbol appeared on the back of her right hand.

As the light faded, Raine stood there, then stumbled a bit to adapt to her new size and weight. She then looked herself over and was surprised by her new height. "Oh man, I think I could have been a basketball player if I was this tall."

But then realized the fire was still there and Drake needed help. "Alright let's see what this girl can do?!"

She then raised her large back funnels to a burning tree and suddenly a blast of steam came shouting out and blew out the fire. Raine then, awed, looked at her hand and came to a realization. "Steam blasters. Awesome!"

She then looked over to the fire, opened her mouth, and let out a breath blast of steam that extinguished more of the fire. Drake then saw the steam blast and turned to see his sister.

"Woah! Raine? Is that you?!" He asked.

"Who else would it be, bro?" She replied.

"How about we stop playing around and start fighting fire with fire." She offered as the twins ran to fight the fire.

As they fight the flame, a short way away, Gwen puts out fires as best as she can until she eventually runs into Drake and accidentally puts out his fire. Which caught Raine's attention as Gwen got a good look at the twins, she screamed, scared out of her mind.

"Look, I know we look weird," Drake noted.

"But there's no reason to be scared," Raine added, trying to calm down their cousin.

But Gwen was listening and slugged Raine in the face with the fire extinguisher, making her knock over Drake and then she blasted him with it, causing him to cough up foam.

"I don't know what you 'villains' are up to with this fire, but you'll stay down there if you know what's good for you," Gwen warned, her eyes glowing pink briefly.

"Villains?!" Raine said, shocked.

Drake focused and summoned a small flame to appear on her shoe.

"Ow!" She jumped back, causing Drake to giggle at her reaction, before putting out the flame, holding her foot up in pain. She then held up the fire extinguisher. "I warned you."

"Don't even think about it, freak."

"Knock it off, bro!" Raine said, getting between them.

That caused her to stop and realize that there's only one person she knows who would ever call her that and another who would call that person their brother.

"Guys? Is that you?" Gwen asked, dumbfounded. "What happened to you?"

"Well, see, this meteor fell from the sky and almost smudged me and Raine except it wasn't a meteor or a satellite but these two cool watches that jumped up onto our wrists, and when I tried to get mine off, I suddenly was on fire! Only it didn't hurt when I was starting this mega forest fire!" Drake explained.

But suddenly Max came running in.

"Gwen! Are you al-What in blazes?!" He asked in shock.

"A Pyronite and a Saurageyze? How's that possible, both their planets are lightyears away!" Max thought.

"Hey, Grandpa, guess who?" Gwen spoke up, nervously.

"It's us, Grandpa!" Drake said, waving.

"Hey, Grandpa," Raine said, deadpan.

"Kids?! What happened?" Max asked, shocked.

"Well, when me and Raine were walking, this meteor-"

Thankfully, Gwen cut off her cousin. "Excuse me? Major fire burning out of control, remember?" She deadpanned.

"Gwen's right, We came to explain later!" Raine agreed. "Let's stop this fire first!"

"Alright, so how do we do that?" Drake asked.

"My steam powers may be effective, but I don't think it would be quick enough to put all this fire out," Raine noted.

Max thought for a bit before he came up with something. "Backfire! Start a new fire and let it burn into the old one. They'll snuff each other out. Then Raine can take out what's left of it." He explained.

"Think you two can take care of it?"

"Shooting flames, I can definitely do," Drake said.

"Let's get to work, bro," Raine said before she and Drake ran into the flames and she let out a steam blast to put out the fire in her way.

Once the twins reached a clearing, Drake cracked his knuckles and let out a heat ray, starting a second fire, which slowly burned into the old one.

Raine then embedded her hands into the ground to get a better grip. She opened her mouth aimed her funnels at the inferno and released a massive steam wave that extinguished the last of the fire.

Once the fire was out, the twins looked at each other proud of what they had done.

"Not bad for being Quirkless, sis,"

"You weren't bad yourself."

Raine and Drake then lightly fistbumped each other.

Later, the Park Ranger drove up only to be stunned to see that the fire was already out.

Back up in space on board the Chimera Wrath, one of the pilot robots was reporting to Vilgax, who was inside a tank.

"What do you mean it's not there?!" Vilgax asked angrily. "This battle nearly cost me my life and you say the Omnitrixes are no longer on board the transport?!"

Vilgax rose up from inside of the tank and we are treated to a truly grisly site. His entire body was basically mutilated from the explosion from earlier. His entire left side was basically destroyed with the bones sticking out. His right arm and leg were tattered and he was strapped to a breathing apparatus to keep himself alive while his body regenerated.

"Sensors indicate a probe was jettisoned from the ship just before boarding. It landed on the planet below there." The pilot reported.

Vilgax growled and turned to one of his robot scouts. "Bring it to me."

The robot complied and left the room.

Back at the campsite, Drake and Raine were explaining their story to their grandfather and cousin.

Raine was sitting on the ground because she was too big for the logs, while Drake was just sitting on a log. It's amazing how it didn't burn to a crisp under his weight.

"And you say these watches just clamped up on your wrists?" Max questioned.

Gwen tossed the two a marshmallow and Raine swallowed hers in one gulp.

"Hey, this time it wasn't my fault!" Drake said as the marshmallow roasted and he tossed it into his mouth. "I swear!"

"It's true!" Raine said. "I warned him not to but what can I say? Curiosity killed the cat."

"I believe you two, kids," Max assured them.

"Think they're going to stay monsters forever," Gwen asked.

"Hey! We're still your cousins, Gwen." Raine said, crossing her arms.

"They're not monsters. They're aliens." Max said.

The kids then looked at him curiously, wondering how he could possibly know that.

"I mean, look at them. What else could they be?" He said, to make it seem like his exclamation was a mere assumption.

"Well, what are we going to do? I don't want to be 'Fire guy' forever. I mean I like having powers. But how am I going to try out for sports this Fall, if I charcoal everything I touch?" Drake asked, worriedly.

"At least you can fit in the door frame! How am I going to do anything if I'm too bulky to get into places?" Raine asked.

But then they both realized something worse. "How are we going to explain this to Mom and Dad?!" The twins said, panicking at the same time.

"Don't worry, guys. We'll figure this thing out." Max promised his grandkids.

Then, all of a sudden, the watch symbols on Drake's chest and Raine's hand started beeping red and then released a bright flash of light. When it faded, the twins stood there, back to their normal selves.

"I'm me again!" Drake said, in an almost celebratory fashion.

"Me too!" Raine cheered, tossing another marshmallow into her mouth.

"Aw!" Gwen whined. "Too bad. I liked Drake better when he was a briquette." Gwen said, holding up a marshmallow.

With everything back as closely to normal as it could be, Drake then tried to watch off again. "Aw man, I still can't get this thing off."

"Better not fool with it until we know exactly what we're dealing with," Max warned.

"Better to be safe than sorry." Raine agreed, nodding her head.

"I'll go check out that crash site. You three stay here." Max said.

-x-

Elsewhere, an orange pod launched out of the Chimera Wrath and crashed down in the forest where the pod containing the watches was. It then separated its segments, sprouting three legs with no feet, two arms that sprouted claws with no hands, and its head popped out of the top with glowing red eyes.

It scanned around and found the pod that the watches were stored in, then destroyed it with a laser when it realized it was empty.

Then, two spider-like drones popped out of its shoulders and they went looking for the Omnitrixes.

-x-

Drake sat on the bumper of the Rustbucket, fiddling with his watch and trying to see how it worked.

"I wonder what this does?"

"Busted!" Raine shouted as she and Gwen surprised him.

Gwen laughed.

"Ha-ha, very funny. Like your face!" Insulting Gwen as he went back to fiddling with the watch as the faceplate turned each time he twisted it.

"Drake, you heard Grandpa Max. We really should be careful with these things." Raine stated.

"Come on Raine, you said it yourself, these things aren't coming off. So what's the point of having these if we aren't going to use them?" Drake asked as Raine facepalmed.

"Stuff like this makes it hard for people to believe that we're related when I have much more self-control than him," Raine said, half to herself.

"You heard what Grandpa said," Gwen said.

"Yeah, so?" Drake asked dismissively.

"How are you the older twin again?" She asked incredulously.

Raine sighed. "He is older than me by eight minutes."

"Come on! Don't tell me you aren't the least bit curious about what else this thing can do?" He asked.

"Alright, fine! I am curious." Raine admits.

"Not in the least," Gwen said.

"Are you sure you're related to us?" Drake asked.

"Come on, Gwen, I know you well enough that you'd be thinking the same thing we are if you had one of these things," Raine stated.

-x-

Meanwhile, Max was at the crater in the woods and picked up a piece of shrapnel from the destroyed transport pod.

"I don't like this. Not one little bit." Max noted concern for his grandkid's safety.

-x-

"Look, Raine, if we can figure these things out, then maybe we can help people," Drake said, still fiddling with his watch.

"I mean, really help them. Not just, you know. Make things worse." That suggestion immediately piqued Raine's interest.

"A-are you saying that we could finally become heroes?!" Raine asked, getting a little teary-eyed.

"You know it, sis," Drake confirmed with a smirk.

"I'm game," Raine said as she started to fiddle at her own watch.

"So, what did it feel like? You know, going all alien like that?" Gwen asked, roasting a marshmallow.

"It was freaky at first," Drake explained. "It was like I was me, but also like I was someone else."

"It was the same for me too," Raine added, then turned to Gwen. "But it also felt natural at the same time, and using its abilities felt normal too. Is that what having a Quirk feels like?"

"Kinda… Quirks are just something your body can naturally do?" Gwen explained.

As the cousins talked about Quirks, Drake eventually got his core to pop up again and the image of the fire alien appeared again. "Hey, I think I figured out how I did it. Should I try it again? Just once?"

Drake then twisted the dial three to show a silhouette of an insectoid alien, a humanoid reptile alien, and a canine alien in that exact order.

"I wouldn't," Gwen warned as Raine popped up her watch's core. It showed the steam alien again and then she twisted it three times to show a silhouette of a humanoid dragonfly alien, a humanoid flower alien, and a bear alien in that order.

"No, duh, you wouldn't," Drake said as he slammed his core down, initiating the transformation sequence.

The watch sank into his wrist, causing his veins to pulse and expand rapidly, until they reached his eye, which he clenched shut. When he opened them again, they were fully orange. Afterward, orange fur sprouted all over his body, his teeth turned to fangs and he grew three gills on each side of his collar. He stretched his three-fingered paw out and it sprouted black claws. The watch's symbol was on his shoulder pad and he let out a roar as the transformation ended.

"Well, my turn," Raine said as she slammed her core down, releasing a pink light.

The watch sank into her wrist, causing her blood vessels to pump abnormally before they traveled up to her eyes and when she shot them open, her eyes turned green. Her body started cracking and snapping as her muscle mass built up and her skin erupted into thick brown fur. Her hair melded into a small mane on her head. She rose to the camera as her teeth sharpened to fangs and her face pushed out into an ursine muzzle. The watch symbol then appeared on a harness around her neck. She raised her arms, as her paws grew massive, and thick claws sprouted out. She then slammed them against the ground and gave a mighty roar as the transformation ended.

The two looked over at each other, but all the two could say were growls and roars.

"Ew!" Gwen groaned, looking over Drake's new form as he drooled involuntarily. "This thing's even grosser than you are normally! Bow wow! Put a flea collar on this mutt!"

Drake roared angrily at her remark.

As for Raine, she looks over her new form.

She appeared to be a short stocky bear-like alien covered in thick brown fur with a lighter underbelly. The only clothing she wore was a metal harness on her upper torso with the watch symbol on it. Overall there appeared to be nothing abnormal about this form. But for Drake's form.

"Seriously, no eyes?! What good is this one? It can't see." Gwen noted, then looked at the stick she was holding with the marshmallow on it and got an idea.

Raine then face-pawed herself at what her cousin was about to do.

She then spit on her hands to secure a grip on the stick before winding up the stick and striking it.

Suddenly, Drake's gills reacted to this and sensed Gwen's body heat and that she was about to hit him. He jumped out of the way onto the RV, causing Gwen to fall over and give out a grin.

"Okay, so maybe it's not a total loser," Gwen admitted.

Drake then front-flipped back towards her and Raine.

Gwen pinched her nose at the smell of Drake's foul breath odor. "Two words: breath mints."

Drake then kicked some dirt in his cousin's face before running off into the woods as Raine shook her head in disapproval.

"Drake! Get back here! Drake! I'm telling Grandpa that you turned into some freaky animal monster thing, and went swinging around the forest after he told you not to!" She then realized what she just said. "This is one majorly weird day."

Raine then crawled over to her cousin and waited for her permission.

Gwen sighed. "Alright! You can go too!"

Raine then smiled and ran after her brother.

-x-

Drake went swinging through the trees. It was surprising how the branches could support his weight in this form.

Little did he know that the drones that the robot sent after them were searching for him and his sister. One of them aimed its laser at him and he sensed its presence before jumping out of the way before it blasted the tree branch. He then started swinging from the trees again avoiding its laser blasts as it destroyed the trees.

The robot searched the woods blindly but couldn't find Drake due to the smoke before giving up and floating away to search another area.

Drake was grasping onto a tree before climbing up, so he could get the drop on the robot... literally.

As the robot was searching, Drake suddenly leaped from the tree, grabbed the robot, and bit its claws off. The robot tried to shake him off by flying away, but he held on tightly, clawing away at its circuitry, and tore the head part off before the symbol started beeping. He jumped off before the explosion engulfed him and turned back to normal.

He stood up, a few leaves in his hair, and looked back towards the small fire on the cliffside.

"Yes!" He cheered before he found the other drone and saw it aiming its laser at him. "Uh oh. Not good."

But before the robot could do anything, a large rock was thrown at the robot. Out comes Raine who looked much different than before.

She was now almost twice as tall! Her fur was darker and standing on end, her claws were longer, almost resembling sickles, and her eyes were fully red.

Raine let out a massive ear-piercing roar and pounced on the robot.

Angry, the robot grabbed her and tossed her off before charging at Drake again.

Now even more furious, Raine grabbed one of the falling trees and used it as a bat, swinging it and smashing the robot into the ground. Before the robot got up she jumped the robot again and tore it to scrap metal until she timed out and turned back to her default self.

"Nobody messes with us!" Raine shouted, angrily before she calmed down by taking deep breaths.

"Uhh, Thanks..." Drake thanked but felt a little concerned since he had never seen his sister so aggressive before

-x-

Back at the RV, the family regrouped as the twins sighed, waiting for the punishment Max would give them.

"I was worried you two would get popular with those things on your wrists. That's why I warned you not to use it until we know what we're dealing with." Max scolded the twins.

"Sorry, Grandpa." Drake and Raine said in unison.

"On the plus side, we figured out how to make them work," Drake said.

"Yeah, all you do is press this button," Raine said, demonstrating. "Then, when the ring pops up, just twist it in until you've got the one you want to be, slam it down, and then Bammo!"

"You're one of 10 super-cool aliens!" Drake added.

"A different set for each watch, though 4 of them are the same aliens," Raine noted.

"What about staying a super-cool alien and not transforming back into plain old pizza face?" Gwen asked harshly.

"We're... still working on figuring that out," Drake stated.

Max stroked his chin and smiled. "With devices as powerful as these, I'd say we better help you kids learn, Fast."

The twins then perked up at this.

"Shut up!" Raine said.

"You're seriously encouraging us to help people?" Drake asked.

"It's going to take some getting used to. But yes." Max smiled before the twins high-fived.

"Mayday! Mayday!" A ranger from the radio reported. "Someone help us! We're under attack by some kind of- I know you're not going to believe me, but… robot!"

"Sounds just like those things that attacked us," Drake said. "They must be looking for the watches. Those people are in trouble because of us!"

"Seriously bro! I had to save your butt twice in the same night," Raine recalled. "You want me to have to save you again?"

"You won't have to. We're going to be saving other people this time, sis." Drake said as his sister sighed.

"You're right. We have to help them!"

"You? What are you going to do about it, Tennyson?" Gwen asked.

"Um, you're Tennyson too, doofus," Drake said with a smirk.

"...Crap," Gwen said, admitting defeat.

The twins looked at their watches and smirked.

-x-

Outside near the robot attack, the Tennysons reached a clearing as the watches beeped and the twins looked to Max, who nodded in approval.

The twins then dialed their watches to select their forms.

"Eenie," Drake dialed past a ghost alien while Raine dialed past a four-armed alien.

"Meenie," Drake dialed past an insectoid alien while Raine dialed past a feline alien with massive claws.

"Mineyy," They finally selected their aliens.

"Here goes," Raine said as the two slammed their watches in a flash of green and pink light.

Drake's watch sank into his wrist and became encased in green diamond before it covered his other arm and his head before it closed around his eye and became fully golden. Four spike-like diamonds, the lower pair smaller than the upper pair, grew out of his back and his clothes morphed into a bodysuit, black on one side, white on the other. The watch symbol was on his upper left bicep as the transformation ended.

Raine's watch sank into her arm as chlorophyll filled her veins and traveled up her arm, she clutched her eyes closed before they opened, revealing a fully green color. Her limbs turned into bundles of spiked vines as dark green leaves covered her shoulders and wrist. Her head transformed into a rose flower with no visible mouth. Finally, two more vines sprouted out of her back. Raine's clothes were now a black and magenta jumpsuit with a leaf skirt and the watch appeared on the middle of her chest as she spread out her hands and a flurry of barbed vines spread out as she ended the transformation.

The twins looked at each other and Raine admired her new form. "Wow, I look like I could do some damage with these vines." She notes about the thorns covering her new body.

"So, what can these two do?" Gwen asked.

"I don't know," Drake said. "But I bet it's going to be cool."

-x-

The robot destroyed the RVs in the trailer park with its lasers, prompting the campers to run away in fear as the Tennysons ran up and they gazed in awe at the sheer size of the robot compared to the drones.

"Whoa!" Gwen gasped.

"Looks like 'Papa Robot' this time," Drake said.

"We'll get Gear Head's attention," Raine ordered. "You guys get the campers to safety."

Gwen and Max complied and ran off to help.

The twins' eyes glowed and they ran off to fight the robot.

As the campers ran away, one tripped and a ranger tried to help him get up. But before he could do anything, the robot grabbed him and he screamed.

"Leave him alone!" A voice commanded, catching the robot's attention and it turned its head to see the two aliens. It scanned the two before catching sight of the watch symbols and it beeped in confirmation. It had found what it was looking for.

"You want somebody to pick on? Try us on for size!" Raine shouted.

The robot let the ranger go and dropped him onto his van before firing a laser at Drake, sending him flying into an RV before firing another laser to blow it up.

"Brother!" Raine shouted, careful not to reveal who they were.

The robot then turned to her and readied its laser wrist.

"Ah!" Raine screamed before closing her eyes and crossing her arms in defense, bracing for the impact. Little did she know that the reflex of crossing her arms had caused a shield of vines to form in front of her, blocking the laser from her.

She opened one eye, then the other, watching the shield dissipate and the vines went back underground and retreated into her feet. "Wow! These vines are awesome!"

A green crystal blade came out of the wreckage of the RV and Drake pulled himself out, revealing the blade to be formed from his arm. "Cool." He said as the arm grew crystal spikes.

Drake then got out of the wreckage and ran for the robot, trying to slice him, but it jumped up, spun its legs around like a helicopter, and landed right on top of him. "Uh-oh. I think I'm in trouble."

Raine noticed this and thrust her hands forward, stretching out a ton of vines that wrapped around surrounding trees and around the robot's arms. She pulled back, trying to get it off of her brother.

Meanwhile, Gwen and Max helped the ranger off of his van as the rest of the campers got to cover.

"What is going on here?" The ranger asked.

"Trust me. You wouldn't believe us if we told you." Gwen said. "Now come on!"

The two ran off, but the robot stayed behind as Raine finally pulled the robot back enough to free Drake and the vines snapped.

"Maybe this alien's stronger in direct sunlight and a nutrient-rich environment," Raine theorizes looking at her surroundings.

The robot grabbed Drake and threw him right into the ranger's van! Fortunately, he ducked in time and ran away from the scene as Drake recovered and pulled himself out of the van's wreckage.

The two dodged the robot's lasers left and right until it eventually blasted a tree, which was about to fall right on top of their cousin.

The twins noticed this and Raine wrapped her vines around the tree to hold it back. But the vines began to snap one by one.

Drake then ran under the tree and commanded a huge crystal spike to grow out of his back and it sliced the tree in two and the halves fell on either side of the cousins.

"So, does this make us even?" Drake asked.

"Even…" Gwen agreed.

Much to the cousin's surprise, however, the robot grabbed Drake. The robot attempted to rip Drake apart with its other arm, but as it grabbed Drake's arm, Drake commanded it into its spiked blade form, destroying the robot's left hand. The robot then blasted Drake away with the laser on its wrist and Drake landed in a crater.

"Drake!" Max shouted as Raine stepped up and made all her fingers into a barrage of vine whips. Ready to go to town.

"Okay, Bolt Brain. Let's see how you like… Rosar-whip!" Raine said with a bit of flare.

"...Rosar-whip?" Gwen asked, deadpan. "Really?"

"Looks like they're naming their alien forms now," Max said.

Rosar-whip then swung her whips, breaking off a flurry of thorns, and launched it at the robot, sticking into the robot as she dodged his laser by using her vines to move underground.

Drake pulled himself from the crater and formed his arms into mirror shields as the robot fired another beam. The beam deflected off of his shield and went in another direction.

That was when the twins reached a realization and came up with a plan.

Drake prompted the robot to fire again. "Come on! Put one in here." Drake said as Rosar-whip sneaks away unnoticed.

"Get out of there!" Max shouted.

"Hang on. I think they're onto something." Gwen said.

Rosar-whip then appeared behind the robot and morphed everything below her neck into thorny vines that wrapped around the robot's torso and legs holding him in place as he fired and Drake held out his hands and deflected the beam, his crystal body acting like a mirror.

The campers came up to watch the spectacle.

"What comes around goes around," Drake said.

"Let's see how you like it, you techno freak!" Rosar-whip's head shouted from the mass of vines as Drake deflected the laser and Raine pulled her vines to redirect the laser back onto the robot, slicing it in half, resulting in an explosion.

"Alright!" Gwen and Max shouted.

"Way to go R-" Max stopped realizing he was about to give away his grandchildren's secret identities. "Rosar-whip and Diamond-headed guy…"

Rosar-whip then reassembled her body, walked up to her brother, and smiled. "High-five, bro!" She cheered as they high-fived.

"Oh yeah! Who's bad?! Yeah!" Diamondhead cheered, jumping up and down triumphantly like a child who scored a goal in a sport. Gwen and Max silently tried to wave at him to make him notice the people, then shook their heads in embarrassment when he did.

"Umm… Bro…" Rosar-Whip tapped her brother on the shoulder, gesturing towards the campers watching them.

Drake then stood tall and cleared his throat, trying to save face. "Well, Sister, I think our work here is done," He said as the two ran away from the scene.

As they ran, Rosar-whip suggested something to her brother. "You know, that name has a nice ring to it. Diamondhead."

"You think so," Drake asked.

"I think we name our forms. If we are stuck with these watches, we should call the aliens something." Rosar-whip said.

"Couldn't have said it better myself," Diamondhead said.

Gwen and Max left the scene as well, leaving the campers confused.

"Who were those two?" A male camper asked.

The others shrugged their shoulders in confusion.

Back up in space, where drones were making repairs to the Chimera Wrath, Vilgax received the information regarding his scout robot's destruction.

"Failure!? Unbelievable!" Vilgax shouted. "The two human beings who are keeping the Omnitrixes from me will soon hang from my trophy wall!"

-x-

Back at the campsite-

Max and Gwen packed their sleeping bags and other luggage into the Rust Bucket.

Max then noticed two certain twins were missing. "Where are the twins?"

"I haven't seen 'em since breakfast," Gwen stated.

Soon, a dust cloud came speeding up and two aliens sped to a screeching halt, both of the same species. They were both blue-skinned velociraptor-like aliens with black skin on their arms and legs. They each had a long prehensile tail with blue and black stripes. Their arms ended with three-fingered hands with scissor-like claws and instead of feet, they had blue wheel-like spheres at the end of their legs. A blue and black mask lifted from their faces, revealing the green eyes with black markings. They each wore a jumpsuit-like version of their regular clothes with the watch symbols on their chest.

"Guys?" Gwen asked.

"Yep," Drake said. "Told you we have some of the same aliens."

"Yeah and check this out!" Raine said as her mask closed and she grabbed the cooler, TV, sleeping bags, and other luggage and packed it into the car at lightning-quick speed. "Pretty fast, huh?"

And that was when their watches timed out and they morphed back to normal.

"I have a feeling that this is gonna be the best summer ever," Drake said with a smile as his sister smirked.

"Took the words right out of my mouth, bro," Raine said, jabbing his shoulder.

"Absolutely," Max agreed.

"It's certainly going to be interesting," Gwen admitted. "So, where did you two go off anyway?"

"Just had to run a few errands before our vacation really got rolling," Drake said as Raine smirked, knowing what they acually did.

-x-

Cash and J.T. were hanging from a tree branch by their underpants.

"Dude, how did we get up here?!" Cash asked.

"Not sure," J.T. said. "It all happened so fast."

"Oh! Will you two stop talking!" Angela growls. Revealing she's duct taped to the same tree as the twosome. "How about you two do something useful and get us out here!"

"Fine… Hey! Somebody! Anybody! A little help here please!" Cash called out as the cars rolled past, ignoring them as the other two groaned.

Author's note: Let me know what you think and as always. Constructive criticism is allowed. Trolling is not.

So here's my take on an MHA/Ben 10 story.

Some things to note here.

This story takes place five years before MHA.

I decided to make a pair of twin OCs cause other MHA/Ben 10 stories inspired me and have more room to work with. Specifically, I was inspired by the Ben and Jen 10 series by Jake H Voronkov. It had the exact premise I was going for.

As for their personalities, the twins are like Ben in many ways, Drake more than Raine. But Drake's a bit more mature than Ben was at 10 years old.

Raine's aliens are some of my original creations and I have different names for each twin when Drake unlocks them.
