Tomorrow Night, My Place

Warning: Love Scene

A tap on the window called Jason out of his dazed tracking of the neighbourhood and he turned to see Kelsi pointing at the door lock. He hit the power lock, letting her climb up into the passenger seat of his Jeep.

"Hey gorgeous, how was the day?" he asked, unable to stifle a laugh at her struggle. "Sorry the Jeep's a bit higher than the Mach 1, I swear it's not lifted."

Kelsi flushed as she grunted through the step up that wouldn't be a problem if she wasn't so short. "It was slow today, made it a hard day to slog through, you know, waiting for you..." She put her small duffel bag on the back seat then turned to see him smiling at her. "What?" she asked shyly.

"Come over here." He leaned over the console and took her chin in his hand. She smiled as he pulled her gently to meet him in the middle for a kiss. It was tender, with passionate notes, the low rumble of the V6 lacing their embrace with a sensual growl. Hands began to wander and breaths became shallower until Kelsi was interrupted by her stomach stabbing in demand of nourishment.

"Let's pick that back up after we eat, I'm starving," she said with a smile as she settled back down into her seat.

Jason settled back into his and put his seatbelt on before shoving it in drive. "Alright, we're going, but I'd still rather kiss you." As he pulled the Jeep out of the empty parking lot, Jason thumped his palm on the steering wheel as a thought occurred to him. "Oh shit."

"What? What's the matter?" Kelsi asked.

"I completely forgot, we should make one more stop at the drugstore."

"Oh, you mean…?"

Jason couldn't help but release a short laugh under his breath. "Yeah, sorry I forgot all about it. It won't take long." He turned into the next plaza where he spotted a drugstore.

Kelsi felt a pang of guilt and shifted in her seat. It wouldn't be fair to make him go alone. She took a deep breath. "I can go with you," she began, her voice soft and uncertain.

Jason's eyes widened in surprise, but he quickly replaced it with a kind smile as he parked and moved to step out. "It's okay, Kels, I got it."

She shook her head, her cheeks flushing. "It's not that big of a deal," she said as she unbuckled her seatbelt too.

Jason reached over and squeezed her hand. "Look, I can see you're uncomfortable. I'll go, after all it's the gentlemanly thing to do, right? Protect my lady." He winked at her.

Kelsi couldn't help but smile. "How chivalrous of you," she replied, a hint of sarcasm in her voice, "even though your ulterior motives are pretty obvious."

He exited the car and strolled off into the store, flashing a cheeky smile over his shoulder as he disappeared through the automatic door.

Kelsi couldn't help but feel a strange mix of relief and embarrassment. Alone with her thoughts, which were, as usual, a chaotic mess. Part of her was excited for the night to come, but another part of her was mortified at the way she'd reacted. It shouldn't be this awkward, they were consenting adults, not teenagers. She tried to distract herself by humming a random tune, but her mind kept drifting back to the awkwardness she felt. Just as she was beginning to lose track of time, the Jeep door swung open, jolting her back to reality. Jason climbed into his seat and plopped a bag into her lap. She peeked into it, undeniably curious as to his selection. Her eyes widened and she couldn't help but laugh as she looked in the bag.

He read her expression right away. "I went plain and simple, but ready for a good time," he said as the Jeep came to life, "and I got you a little desert."

"How'd you know white chocolate is my favourite?"

"Lava Springs wasn't that long ago, babe. I think I can remember a few things about the girl I had my eyes on all summer."

Kelsi quickly slid the shopping bag into her duffel bag. As they pulled out of the parking lot, a comfortable and casual conversation rose between them. The awkwardness had dissipated, replaced by a warm sense of intimacy. Kelsi couldn't help but feel a surge of affection for Jason. He put her at ease with a calming breath and a tender hold on her fingers that eased her lingering tension. She leaned her head against the headrest, watching the street lights slowly click on as the evening crept in.

They made their way across town and soon they were parked in front of Jason's house. Kelsi reached for her bag while Jason quickly made his way around to open her door for her.

"Need help getting down?" he asked with a hand extended.

"Yes please, I'm sure normal sized people don't have an issue with this," she said as she dropped into his arms.

"You're just right, Kels," he said softly before setting her down with a kiss on her cheek. She looked up and saw his house for the first time, a small town house, nestled on a fairly quiet street with a single car attached garage. A paver stone path led the way up a small set of stairs to a covered porch and plain front door. Unassuming, innocent, unaware of what was to come. He unlocked the door and led her inside. The sinking sun streamed into the living room at the end of the hall, illuminating the neutral grey walls.

Jason beamed with pride as he kicked his sneakers into the boot tray. "Well come on in, I'll give you the tour," he said, leading the way towards the cozy living room that flowed seamlessly into the dining area and kitchen. A small island stood at the heart of the space, offering a perfect spot for casual meals or catching up over coffee.

He led her through the back door, revealing a small patio where a bistro set and a cheerful umbrella sat waiting for warm summer evenings. "Upstairs are the bedrooms and main bathroom, you can bring your stuff up now if you want," he said, returning inside and heading for the stairs. She grabbed her bag and followed him up. He paused at the first door, revealing a typical guy's room with plain furniture and a roughly made bed. "This is my room."

Kelsi's eyes lingered on the bed. "Looks comfy," she teased, a playful glint in her eyes.

Jason chuckled, guiding her to the second room that caught her attention. A desk, neatly arranged with a laptop, occupied one corner. But to her surprise, the rest of the room was transformed into a cozy reading nook. A plush armchair sat invitingly beside a standard bookcase, packed with books.

Kelsi lingered, her eyes scanning the titles. "Have you read all these?" she asked, impressed.

"Most of them," Jason admitted with a sheepish grin. "If car manuals and the monthly Ratchet & Wrench even count as reading," he added, pointing to a section, "but I've also got a soft spot for crime novels."

Her fingers traced over the spines, stopping on some worn notebooks. "I bet no one knew you liked to read so much," she said, turning back to him.

"I bet some people wondered if I could read," he chuckled back, bringing a laugh from her as well. "So that's the end of the tour. It's not much, but it's mine, and I love it."

"This is great, Jason," she said, a soft tone of wonder in her voice at all he had accomplished in so short a time.

"Here, I'll stow your bag for you and put the condoms away," Jason said, gesturing towards her duffel bag. She dug around first, retrieving the white chocolate bar he'd bought for her before surrendering her bag to him. With a mischievous smile, she held it close to her chest. "This stays with me though, and make sure those aren't too well put away."

Jason nodded with a grin and ducked into his room while Kelsi retreated downstairs. She heard him soon after, taking the steps quickly towards the kitchen.

"Better get started on dinner," he said, "you alright with spaghetti and meat sauce?"

"Sounds yummy," Kelsi said as she strolled into the living room and took a good look around. A worn but plush leather couch faced a low-profile TV stand topped by a small flat-screen and some kind of gaming console. A floor lamp cast a warm light on a corner filled with a leather armchair that almost matched the sofa and an end table stacked with two decks of cards, a poker set case, and an old East High ball cap. A reclaimed coffee table sat in the centre of it all, coasters waiting for cold drinks and good times with friends. The space had some clutter here and there, but it was remarkably clean, which surprised her considering it was owned by a guy.

"This is nice," she said and hung her purse on a stool at the island, "your rent must be awful."

"Well I don't rent, I own it, mortgage and all," he said over his shoulder. "When my nonno passed away, he had put aside some funds from selling their vineyard in Italy for each of the grandkids strictly for buying a house. I was ready, so I paid the down payment, got my Jeep used, and invested what was left for a rainy day."

Kelsi's eyes widened in surprise, "You're kidding! You're twenty-two and you own a house and your car?! That's crazy, Jason."

"I've always been a good saver, my nonno taught me everything, he was an amazing businessman. Then going right out to work and apprenticing meant I had no school debt. I work hard, stick to a budget, and I seem to be doing alright."

"You're doing amazing! Not having school debt is going to be a huge plus for me too," Kelsi replied. "The scholarship took care of my tuition and dorm. What my parents had set aside as a college fund has taken care of most of my other expenses, but I still work every summer and I'm hoping to land a tutoring position at Juilliard this fall."

"That's awesome, Kels. I'm glad we agree that slacking isn't an option."

"Except maybe slacking off in the morning to stay in bed a little longer," she said with a devious tone. She made her way over to the kitchen, debating if she was more impressed that he had grown up so much since high school or that he was taking fresh ingredients out of his fridge for a home cooked meal. The kitchen wasn't gourmet, but functional. Plain white appliances backed onto the wall with plain white cabinets. A small island that housed the sink sat edging out into the dining room with two mismatched stools that offered a comfortable place for any meal of the day. He had extra seating at the small four seater dining table, making more room for friends to gather around.

"And on top of all that, you cook too. How did I luck out with you?" she sighed as she leaned on the island and rested her chin in her hands.

Jason spun around and leaned across the countertop to give her a quick kiss. "My mamma's Italian remember? Of course I can cook," he replied with a smile and went back to work prepping their meal.

She strolled around to wrap her arms around his waist from behind. "Can I help at all?"

He maneuvered out of her embrace to offer her a knife. "I don't know, can I trust you with this?"

She gave him an unimpressed look and rolled her eyes. "I promise I won't stab you."

"Good enough for me," he said with a shrug and a kiss on her nose, "if you want to keep chopping the veggies, I'll get started on the sauce." Working seamlessly, they filled the kitchen with laughter and the aroma of a handed down family recipe.

"Here taste this," Jason said and held a wooden spoon out to Kelsi.

She leaned close and sampled the traces of the ruby red sauce, savouring the rich tomato flavour. "Mmm," she hummed, licking her lips in contentment, "that's delicious."

"So is this," Jason whispered and pulled her close, laying a deep kiss on her lips. Soon they were seated to the island sharing their handiwork, satisfying their stomachs while their hunger for each other grew subtly.

"Wow," Kelsi said after her first bite, "this is so good, Jason. Is this your mom's recipe?"

"Yep, one of the few I've got memorized," he said and forked up another bite off his own plate.

"So you cook, you keep your place, that you happen to own, really nice and clean, then you put on a serious show in bed. Anything else you feel like dazzling me with this week?"

Jason coughed, choking on his food in surprise at her last compliment, his face going red from part embarrassment part trying to catch his breath. It was nice to hear her say, but still a bit shocking to hear his performance relayed back to him so matter-of-factly.

"Well to be totally honest, I didn't have anything planned beyond dinner for us tonight. Not that I've run out of date ideas, just thought we'd both be tired from the week, maybe we'd take it easy tonight, popcorn and a movie, then make a day of it tomorrow?"

"I'd like that, it's been a crazy week," she said with a small smile his way. They finished the last bites of their dinner and Jason got to work washing the dishes, stealing glances her way across the island.

"So what do you think for a movie?" he asked over his shoulder as he put the plates away, "there's a DVD case on the coffee table, you can have a look through and pick something." Kelsi rose from the stool and quickly picked an exciting looking thriller from the case.

Jason soon walked over to the coffee table and set down a bowl of popcorn. "Can I get you a drink? I can make up some coffee and tea, there's water, or I could crack open a couple beers. There's a few left from poker last night," Jason offered.

"A beer sounds great actually," Kelsi answered.

Jason returned with two cans, handing one to Kelsi as he sat beside her on the couch. "Is Coors alright?" he asked, popping the tab on his own.

"Not my favourite," she said, as she cracked the can, "but I guess when it comes to beer your first favourite is free, your second favourite is cold."

"Well these are cold, but they're not quite free." He leaned over and stole a kiss from her lips.

She smiled and took a sip. "It's a little different than I'm used to," she said, the sharper taste hitting her tastebuds more vibrantly than a Budweiser usually would.

Jason took a sip of his own. "Yeah, everyone's got their preferences. I can have some Buds here for you if you like?"

Kelsi leaned back on the couch, wincing at another sharp hit from her can. "I'll drink whatever so long as you're my drinking buddy."

Jason smiled. "Now you're talking."

Nestling into his arm, Kelsi felt the familiar rhythm of his breath against her ear as they just settled into beers and a movie together, like the fact that they'd slept together was secondary. Their friendship still came first. The movie felt like an afterthought though as the real drama began to steadily unfold between them. They navigated the twists and turns of the plot together, but Kelsi found herself stealing glances at Jason more than focusing on the story. His focus, however, seemed to be divided. One moment his brow would furrow in concentration at a tense scene, the next his eyes would meet hers, a question flickering in their depths. The air felt heavy with their silent conversation of stolen glances and lingering touches. Kelsi snuggled close when he pulled his arm tightly around her shoulders and looked up to take him in all over again. His shaggy black hair, strong jaw that sported a five o'clock shadow, broad shoulders, and muscled chest were all so appealing she found it hard to believe it was all hers in one guy. She laid her head back down against his shoulder and relaxed despite the tense tone of the movie. A sudden chill drifted over her and she scrunched her body with a shiver.

"You cold?" Jason asked.

"A little." She pulled in closer to him, trying to steal some of his abundant body heat.

He reached behind her to pull a knit throw blanket off the back of the couch and draped it over her legs. "There, how's that?" he asked with a kiss to the top of her head.

She let her head turn away from the tv to rest on his chest, feeling the comfort of his embrace relaxing her deeply as the long week caught up with her. "Mmm that's better," she murmured softly.

Jason looked down at her drooping eyelids and chuckled softly. "We can go up to bed if you want you know?"

Kelsi smirked and raised her eyebrows, but didn't open her eyes. "If we go to bed, we won't sleep." Jason exhaled sharply at the thought, she was of course absolutely right. Perhaps a short rest now would give them both enough energy for some action later? He decided he'd leave it up to her and tossed back the last of his beer, turning back to the movie. He was caught up in the tense plot until she took hold of his attention by pushing herself up on his chest hardly five minutes later.

"Ugh, now I'm awake." Kelsi leaned in to plant a firm kiss on his lips. Jason smiled at her frustrated expression, she was adorably riled up, making him return her kiss with enthusiasm. The movie droned on behind them, but their kiss was electric, a surge of pent-up emotion finally finding its release. They fell back onto the couch, entangled in a heated embrace, even their warm and delicious popcorn was forgotten. Kelsi slid her hands down over his shoulders and stopped to massage his chest for a moment before moving down his torso.

Jason ran his hands down her back and slid them into her back pockets to pull her closer. At the sound of the button on his jeans coming undone, he asked her to stop, though it was obscured by her intense kisses. "Mmm mmm," he groaned and pulled just an inch away from her lips. "Bedroom. Now."

Kelsi smirked at him and hopped off the couch. She grabbed his hand and pulled him off with her, dragging him quickly up the stairs. He followed along behind her, feeling his zipper beginning to strain against the arousal she sent shooting through his body with every little step she took on her tip toes.

"So," she said, turning around at the top of the stairs to wrap her arms around his neck, "not interested in sex on the couch then, huh?"

He grinned at her and bent to hoist her onto his hips, bringing a playful yelp from her lips. "I've got a comfy bed in a house that we have all to ourselves and I planned on making use of it tonight," he replied as he turned and walked backwards for a few steps to kick his bedroom door open. It swung open with a crack against the wall, making them laugh at the urgency of their desire for each other.

Kelsi's eyes locked on his double sized bed against the back wall with its muted blue comforter and two soft looking pillows.

Jason turned and made his way over to it where he dropped her down with a soft thump onto the mattress, raising another giggle from her lips at the playfulness of his gesture. "You're so beautiful when you laugh, Kels," he said, his voice rough with anticipation. He stripped off his shirt and knelt on the bed around her, reaching for her glasses to move them to his nightstand. He paused over her when she sucked in a sharp, nervous breath. "Are you okay, hun?"

"Yeah, I guess I just didn't expect you to be this interested in me," she replied, her voice shaky as he moved closer. "That you'd want to sleep with me twice in one week."

"Kels, we don't have to do this if you're uncomfortable, if you have regrets from the other night."

"Oh gosh no," she replied, "I'm just a bit nervous still, and I didn't really dress for this."

A confused smile crept across Jason's face. "What are you talking about?"

"I mean, if you start taking my clothes off, you might not be too impressed with what you find."

"Are you kidding me?" Jason chuckled. "Doesn't matter what you're wearing, Kels. I'm taking it all off anyways."

Kelsi winced as he pulled her shirt off over her head to reveal her plain bra, beige and boring making her bury her face in her hands. "Sorry I should have put something nicer on," she said, her words muffed through her fingers. He smiled and ran his fingers down her chest, tracing over the tops of her breasts before reaching around for the clasp.

"Don't worry about it," he said as he popped it loose, "you won't need it." He let her shimmy it off, then with a smooth roll to his side, he laid her down on her back with more deep, passionate kisses across her lips. Lifting up on his forearms, he made his way down her chest and abdomen with gentle kisses while she combed her fingers through his hair, the desperation flowing through each of her fingertips despite how embarrassed she felt. He arrived at the waistband of her pants and gently slid them down over her hips.

Kelsi couldn't help but cover her face with her hands in embarrassment again when he revealed her plain boy short underwear. "Oh gosh, I'm really sorry, those are so not attractive either."

Jason tried hard to stifle his laughter, she was just too cute. He took the opportunity to stand and ditch his pants and boxers then slipped a condom on. "Again, don't worry about it," he said as he took hold of her underwear, "you won't need these either." He sank to a crouch as he maneuvered them down over her hips to her toes and made his way back up her legs with long feathering kisses, her skin feeling like silk against his lips. Stopping at her thighs, he laid his cheek against her warm skin. He could barely murmur her name as he inched his fingers up her legs, the ache to start loving on her left him lost for any words. Finally he swallowed hard to clear his throat and spoke softly. "Can I start here, Kels?"

She held her breath for a moment, realizing what he wanted to do, but then relaxed as he gently pried her legs apart. He resumed his soft kisses, working his way closer until his lips met her slick heat. He pressed his tongue forward and gently started to stroke around.

"Damn, girl, you're wet," he gasped in between a long suck and more gentle kisses.

"Probably because I want you so bad, but please don't call me 'girl'." She winced as she involuntarily bit on her lower lip when he sucked harder.

Her words slammed into Jason's chest like a gunshot. He knew how badly he wanted her, but hearing her say it back sent a chill over his exposed skin. Not to mention feeling how badly she was begging for him with the slick mess that was forming between her legs. He paused and glanced up at her. "Sorry, you're a beautiful woman, Kelsi, and I'd like to make you my woman tonight."

"I'm… ah! …all yours, Jason," she moaned. His tongue moved deftly and deeper, caressing every inch until her hips slowly rose off the bed.

He moved with her, following her all the way to her crashing climax that made her tremble. A sigh escaped her lips, the tender notes of satisfaction drifting into his ears. Her reaction went straight to his groin and he couldn't wait to hear it again.

"Kels," he gasped as he sank into her still quivering channel, "you alright?"

"Oh yeah, I'm better than alright," she giggled, pressing her fingers into his back to pull him closer, "you're incredible, Jason."

"Then you'll enjoy this," he replied with a smug grin, burying deeper than she thought possible.

Kelsi's eyes widened as Jason picked up his speed, her breaths becoming rapid and shallow, "Oh that's good, baby! Will you finish with me?"

"I will." Jason wrapped his hand over his headboard and bore down on her, thrusting hard and sure until her spasms began to roll over him. He finally released with a groan of relief. "Wow, Kelsi. That was amazing... again."

"You're telling me," she said as she brought her hand to her forehead, "I've never had a guy do that before."

Jason made a face at her then gave her a lopsided smile. "Usually not great to talk about other guys when there's one on top of you, but I'll let it slide."

Kelsi slid her hand down over her eyes and her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. Can you tell I don't do this a lot?"

"Yeah, that's a little obvious now," he laughed softly, but still wouldn't let her up, waiting patiently for her to finish explaining.

"I just meant that I've never had a guy hold back like you do, you know, to make sure I get something out of this."

Jason shook his head and sighed. "I've never tried to do that before either, not that I do this much either, but you're special to me, Kelsi. You deserve more."

Her heart skipped a beat as he withdrew and planted one more tender kiss on her swollen lips before he left for the bathroom. She scanned the floor and quickly found his shirt, throwing it on and snuggling down, letting his scent that clung to the fabric envelop her. When he slipped back through the door, he grabbed his boxers from the floor and quickly slipped them on, evoking a confused face from Kelsi.

"I know a lot of guys sleep naked, but I'm not one of them," he said, scratching the back of his head with a nervous chuckle.

"That's okay, I don't either," she shrugged as she realized she had gotten dressed pretty quickly too. "Not that you have any reason to be self-conscious, if that's part of it, you are a rather well equipped man," she added with a giggle.

Jason shook his head and smiled at her then came to sit on the bed. "Well thanks," he said with a shy hand through his hair, although something about her stating the obvious, the sultry way she called him a man, sure boosted his ego.

"You know, the other night you said you'd tell me about that ink later. Will you tell me about it now?" she asked.

"Sure, but let me hold you some more too." He snuggled in to wrap her in his strong arms.

Kelsi eased back into his embrace, feeling their breathing start to slow down before turning in his arms to look closely at his chest.

"I got that last year after my nonno had been gone a year, it's a statue that he and my nonna have in their garden," he said taking a deep breath in, it was still hard to talk about. "The phrase is in Italian, something he had framed in his office, 'Success comes from hard work, hard work comes from passion'. It's something that always stuck with me and it makes more sense now since I'm hoping to be successful at something I have a passion for, but I've got to put in the hard work to get there."

"Wow," Kelsi said as she traced her fingers over the intricate design, bringing a deep relaxing breath from him as she followed the curves of the scripted letters, "that's beautiful." She could tell he was falling asleep under her soft touch and she was close to joining him. Not that her sexual experience would be considered very broad, but being with him had made her body weak with satisfaction.

"Kels?" Jason murmured in her ear.

"Mmmm?"

"You look good in my shirt," he mumbled with a half grin as he drifted off.

A/N:

i would like to make mention of how Jason could own his own house. In case the readers have not noticed, I have done a lot of research for this story, using the names of real places, proper technical specs on the cars, etc. In doing research on what the average house cost and what Jason's salary could have been around the time this would have taken place, it was actually very feasable. It was also my own personal experience so I know firsthand it is possible to be that young and that smart with your finances to own a home at 23. So before readers think it's wishful thinking and really a total fantasy, it was actually financially possible even without the inheritance, that just happened to help him even more. That's my two cents because I work in finance so just had to say my bit about that :P
