As the crew of their ship hurtled through Hyperspace, they were all feeling the weight of their current situation. They were desperate for credits to keep their ship operational and their heads above water. But credits, especially imperial credits, were notoriously difficult to come by, and work that didn't require specific skills was scarce.

To make matters worse, all the members of the crew were wanted criminals due to their attempts to save innocent lives. Despite their good intentions, their actions had landed them in hot water with the authorities, leaving them with limited options for income.

Fortunately, Peter had a contact from his time serving in the Clone Wars who might be able to help them. They were headed towards the planet Lothal to meet this contact and hopefully secure some jobs that would keep them afloat.

Peter made his way down the stairs of the ship using the handrails, carefully avoiding any tripping hazards. He eventually reached the cockpit where Rex was at the controls, carefully guiding them towards their destination. As they flew towards Lothal, the crew couldn't help but feel a mix of nervousness and anticipation. They knew that the jobs they were about to undertake wouldn't be easy, but if it meant they could continue to help others and make a difference in the galaxy, then it was a risk they were willing to take.

"You sure we can trust whoever this guy is?" Rex asks.

"No. I just know we need the money and he is our best chance at getting something." Peter confessed. "Met him during our mission on Kree-Laar."

"Didn't the Republic abandon that world?" Rex asks.

"The Republic did, but the Avengers didn't," Peter replied with a snarl, remembering when Palpatine talked the Jedi into not helping that world. "It was done, but there were still a few Separatist droids, and we had him smuggle us off-world."

"Us?" Rex wasn't sure he understood.

"A...friend I made," Peter explained and sighed, recalling the Clone Wars as they exited Hyperspace.

Peter found himself stranded on Kree-Laar, a planet that had become a battleground for the ongoing conflict between the Separatists and the Kree. He was hiding behind a stack of abandoned shipping containers, trying his best to stay out of sight and waiting anxiously for his friend Ko-Rel, a member of the Kree, to catch up with him. Ko-Rel had short white hair tied up in a ponytail, blue skin, and was around the same age as Peter.

Peter had just accomplished a great feat by saving the world from the Separatists. He had used thermal detonators to destroy a Separatist stronghold, and the blast was so powerful that it could be felt from miles away. As he lay there, catching his breath, he overheard a group of battle droids discussing what had just happened. The droids were patrolling the area, scanning for any signs of life that could pose a threat to their mission. Peter was relieved to have evaded their detection so far but knew that his time was running out. He needed to find a way off the planet before the Separatists or the Kree found him.

"Can you believe what happened out there?" one of the droids asked.

"Yeah, I could feel that explosion from here," another replied.

"We can't feel anything," a third droid chimed in.

Peter knew he had to get out of there, and fast. He whispered to Ko-Rel, "We gotta get aboard one of those crates. It's our only hope."

"And how do you plan to do that?" Ko-Rel asked.

Peter looked around and noticed someone in the area who didn't seem to be a member of the Separatists. They were not being ordered around by them, and they had a ship of their own.

"Come on," Peter whispered as he snuck off towards the man and their ship.

Peter had lost touch with his old friends since the Clone Wars, and he often wondered about the fate of Ko-Rel, one of his former allies. He had cut off contact with them fearing that they might have turned into supporters of the Empire. Recently, Peter, along with his team of Protectors of the Nebula, landed their ship in a remote area outside Capital City. There they met Vizago, a Devaronian, who was wrapping up a weapons deal. As the Protectors approached him, Vizago chuckled, thinking it was some kind of prank, but he soon realized that this was serious.

"Well, and here I thought this was some sort of joke." Vizago chuckled. "So, there are Protectors."

"Protectors of the Nebula." Kate corrected him.

"We heard that you had a job that we could help out with," Peter said as he approached Vizago.

Vizago nodded and took notice of their members. "Hm, that droid." He took notice of Cheep who was confused, thinking he was referring to someone else, and even looked around. "A Clone Wars relic? You willing to sell him?"

Peter looked over to Cheep and back to Vizago. "Cheep isn't for sale."

"Wait, hold up." Amber wanted to hear him out. "How much are we talking here?"

"You had a job for us?" Peter tried to stop the team from selling their droid.

Peter then reminded Vizago that they were looking for a job, and Vizago nodded, taking notice of their presence. "I was given a request from Ryloth on weapons," Vizago tells them, as he examined his inventory. "But the weapons that they seek, I need to...redistribute them from the Empire."

"You want us to steal from the Empire?" Rex asks.

"Yeah, aren't we already a bit hot on their radars?" Amber asks.

"You know where we can find these weapons?" Peter wondered.

"A new shipment of Imperials for the facility coming in soon," Vizago tells them. "Take those weapons to this rendevous point." He handed a communication chip to them. "And my contact will meet you there."

"And how much are we getting paid for this?" Kate went to the important question.

"50 thousand credits," Vizago tells them.

The thought of the money was tempting, not only for themselves but also for those in need in the galaxy. Peter looked at his team, wondering what they would decide, and was surprised to see that they were all ready to take on the mission.

As the crew made their way into the Capital City of Lothal, they knew that looking inconspicuous was going to be a challenge. It was hard to blend in when your crew stood out as much as theirs did. Rex had decided to stay behind and keep the Stellar Sentinel on standby, just in case they needed a quick escape. Cheep wasn't needed either, so he did the same. Meanwhile, Peter kept his head down and snatched a hat to hide his face while nobody was looking. Walking past Kyle, who was wearing his common armor, Peter couldn't help but feel relieved that a Mandalorian didn't really stand out on certain worlds like Lothal. It was one of those worlds where you don't expect people to care about who's coming through.

Despite the planet's importance as one of the galaxy's core worlds for resources, Peter noticed that the Empire had surprisingly little activity on Lothal. You'd expect this to be one of the main worlds they would want to try and settle here sooner. It seemed like they were attempting to do just that, but something was stopping them. The locals here were mostly sellers, people who lived on the planet and owned the stores that sold goods from the galaxy, so it couldn't be any of them.

As Peter surveyed the area, he noticed their crates with the weapons being transported directly to the location where Vizago had said they were going to be taken. This meant that they could finally start their plan. Peter leaned down to scratch his leg, indicating the signal for Amber to start her part of the plan. Amber closed her eyes and stretched out her hand, using the Force to turn off the brakes on one of the speeders carrying the crates, detaching it from the speeder, and sending the speeder flying by pushing the throttle.

Kyle took the position from atop one of the rooftops and shot down the protecting Troopers, whilst Kate had the easy job of snatching the crates and placing them on one of the other speeders for them to escape on.

"Look at that. This was one of our easier missions." Kate commented with a laugh.

Petter groaned when he heard her say that. "Don't you dare jinx us."

Then they were suddenly attacked by unknown projectiles that hit them in the face. To their surprise, the projectiles did not set off Peter's heightened senses, and both of them were knocked down to the ground. As they tried to get back up and see who attacked them, Kyle, who was keeping watch from a distance, saw a strange crystal-looking projectile heading for him and ended up getting hit, falling backward and hitting a vent on the roof.

As they lay on the ground, they saw a woman approaching them with her feet and hands glowing. To their shock, they recognized her, but she appeared older than the last time they saw her. The woman was wearing a modified blue and red burkini with a yellow lightning bolt across it, a long red scarf, blue boots, a blue domino mask, and a set of golden bangles on her left arm. Kate and Peter were equally stunned and they were shocked since they thought that they knew who the woman was but they thought she was dead.

"Thanks for doing all the heavy lifting," the woman said as she took off with the crates on the speeder. Amber tried to stop her but was hit by a strange construct that appeared in front of her, smacking her against the wall and keeping her stuck, unable to use the Force. "See ya!" the woman shouted as she sped off.

A while after the woman left, Amber was released from the construct and dropped to the ground, groaning in pain. She asked, "Who was that?"

"Rex, we're going to need a pickup." Peter contacted their friend.

Kamala was making her way through the city while driving the speeders through the city. Whenever she would come up against her path, she would use her Hard Light energy and the creations to slam the troops against the wall. When she made it through the outskirts and into the open field, a few speeders noticed her and sped off to try and catch her.

Except when they did, Peter and Kate were already closing in and trying to catch up. Kamala's speeder was shot, causing her to lose control as she was then left speeding off the road and into the open field. Kate got an idea as she transformed her bow into a staff and hit the brakes.

when she did so, she managed to knock one of the speeders, but one of the troops was fast enough to miss the attack. Peter then slowed down so he and the troop were side by side.

"Okay, I give up," Peter told him. The trooper was confused when Peter then revealed to have been charging his web shooters. "Psych!"

Peter then shot a web Ball he conjured with his webs into the speeder, causing it to malfunction and blow up, sending him flying. Peter chuckled when s fragment of his speeder rammed into Peter's, causing him to crash and burn, causing Peter to groan.

Kate then sped over to stop next to him. "You don't look so good."

"Shut up," Peter replied in pain.

Over with Kamala, she had crashed, her speeder rolling off and the crates spiraling around. She got back up and sighed when she then looked upward where a TIE was coming in closing. She braced to defend herself when suddenly something shot it down.

Kamala looked over to where the blaster fire came from and saw the Stellar Sentinel looking over her with Peter on the walkway. He gave her a friendly wave while outstretching his hand. "You want a ride?"

kamala smiled as she ran to grab the crate while then using her Hard Light constructs to create steps to carry herself upward. She then reached the steps of the Stellar Sentinel as Peter helped her carry the crate inside and Rex took off. Kyle was managing the guns and was helping keep the TIEs off their backs.

Kamala then walked into the common area and got a look at everything and everyone. She looked over to Kate and was shocked when she started to recognize the team. "Oh, my god. I can't believe it."

"Hey, Kamala." Kate greeted her.

"I can't believe it!" Kamala cried as she ran over and hugged her. "I thought you died."

"We were close," Peter admitted and looked to Rex. "But he helped us."

Kamala looked and was shocked to see a clone survivor helping them. "Rex?"

"Commander Khan." Rex greeted as he turned the Stellar Sentinel into a nosedive to shake off the TIE fighters on his tail. "I'd shake hands, but we're working on surviving right now!"

Kamala grabbed a handle as the room shook due to the nose dive. "What were you guys doing stealing guns?"

"Well, we need to eat. And we need credits to do so, and since we're wanted criminals, it's not so easy." Peter recapped their situation. "We only agreed to the mission when we saw it was going to hurt the Empire."

"Yeah, I know a thing or two about that," Kamala commented as she felt the ship shake as Kyle shot down a TIE. "After Order 66, I managed to escape my ship in an escape pod and landed here on Lothal. Ever since then, I've been doing all I could to keep the Empire from occupying Lothal. It helps since most of the locals aren't fans of them."

"You've been on your own?" Peter wonders as Rex breaks the atmosphere.

"No, this nice couple, they...more or less adopted me," Kamala admits. "They have been protecting me, giving me a place to stay to hide from the Empire."

"Hang on. We're going to make the jump into Hyperspace." Rex started to make the calculations.

"Sounds nice," Peter said to Kamala. "Glad to see some more of us survived."

"Can't kill me that easily," Kamala stated with a chuckle. Then she noticed they were about to make the jump. "So, where are we going?"

Then the Stellar Sentinel jumped into Hyperspace and they began to make their approach towards Ryloth. Rex sighed and stood up, relieved to be out of that dog fight.

"We've been hired to drop these guns off somewhere," Peter explained what they were doing as Cheep was latching the crates together. "Something to do with a resistance and an Empire occupation."

"Sounds like you guys are still helping out," Kamala commented,

"The same can be said for you." Peter chuckled. "You're helping Lothal, and we're helping out everywhere else we can." He then looked around the ship. "Want me to give you the tour?"

While Peter was showing Kamala the Stellar Sentinel's insides, they came out of Hyperspace and took land outside the area of Ryloth. They landed and started to unload the crates as they waited for their arrival. They watched as a shuttle began to approach them and landed just a small feet away.

peter and Kamala were standing in the doorway and about to join the rest of the Protectors. "When we're done here, we'll swing back around and get you back." He assured Kamala. "Maybe we can spare a moment to help you with your Empire problem. Or at least make it harder for them."

"That would be appreciated," Kamala said as they walked over to the team. "So, you know who this guy was selling them to?"

"We're about to meet them," Rex said.

The shuttle then opened, and they watched as a few Twi'lek exited the shuttle. Two obvious adults, one blue and one orange, while another was obviously younger than any of them and was green while wearing headgear that looked like a pilot's.

"Are you Gobi?" Peter asked the orange one who nodded. "Vizago sent us."

"Along with three dozen blasters and a case of thermal detonators we...commandeered from the Empire." Kyle gestured to the crates they carried out.

"Let's see them," Gobi said as Amber opened up one of the crates to show the authenticity of the contents of the package.

"What type of ship is this?" The young Twi'lek asked as she was in awe of the Stellar Sentinel.

"A modified M-class attack shuttle," Amber answered, sitting on the stairs of the ramp.

"Can I have a look inside?" She wonders.

Amber shrugged and looked towards Peter. "Captain, can she come aboard?"

Peter looked to his team, but none of them seemed to have a problem with it. "I don't see why not."

"You can come up," Amber said as she walked up the steps.

As they walked up, Kyle playfully stopped them. "But no funny business."

"Funny business?" The Twi'lek was not sure she understood.

"Let's just say I'll be watching you," Kyle stated as he followed them inside.

"Pay no attention to him. He's a softie once you get to know him." Amber assured the young girl, even though they were roughly the same age. "I'm Amber. This is Kyle. And you are?"

"Hera." She introduced herself.

"Nice to meet you, Hera," Amber said as they walked through the ship. "This is the main control room." She gestured to their seats in the ship. "Also doubles as the common room. For as big as the ship is, most of the space is taken up by the bedrooms."

"And the bathrooms," Kyle stated. "And when you have a crew as big as this, that's important."

Cheep then rolled into the room and saw them, bleeping when he saw Hera. He thought they picked up another crew member without consulting him.

"Relax, Cheep. She's only visiting." Amber informed the droid. "And we don't consult you on anything."

"Not to mention your vote doesn't count because you always vote the same way." Kyle mocked.

Cheep bleeped as he rolled off.

"That's Cheep," Amber gestured to the droid, revealing her lightsaber through her jacket. "He's a cranky droid."

"I have one like that," Hera said as she eyed the saber. "Are you a Jedi?"

Amber looked down and saw the lightsaber was in view and covered it back up. "Uh...yeah. I'm a Jedi."

"In training!" Kyle called as he walked off.

Amber was getting irritated by that constant correction and turned to Kyle. "Knock it off!" Then she turned back to Hera calmly. "Yeah, I'm a Jedi Padawan." She then turned towards Kyle. "As I am constantly reminded!"

"You're welcome!" Kyle called, showing he wasn't done.

"That sounds amazing," Hera said.

"Yeah, constantly on the run and being hunted for being sensitive to something I didn't even get the choice to take." Amber sighed as she remembered vaguely when the Jedi first took her from her family. "I mean...I make the most of the situation now, but still... can't help but wonder about the what ifs."

Hera then looked down the hallways and tried to lighten the mood. "So, what's back there?"

Amber looked down where she was pointing and saw the bedrooms. "Oh, just the bedrooms. Crew this big, we need the spade for us."

"You get to live on a starship?" Hera was amazed to hear that. "That's my dream."

"Yeah, it's not really all that good," Amber stated as she sighed. "I get half of my stuff broken every time we're being chased."

"Who's chasing you?" Hera wonders. "Are you in some kind of trouble?"

Amber was now the one who was confused. "I thought you were in trouble. Isn't that why we're here?"

Hera didn't seem to have an answer to that as she seemed to be just as confused.

"It's a start," Gobi said as he saw all the weapons and gear. "Have Vizago contact me when she has more to sell."

"Building an arsenal attracts attention," Rex warned Gobi. "You better know what you're getting into."

"We don't have a choice," Gobi tells him.

Peter nodded. "Been there."

Gobi then activated the crates so they would hover and dragged them toward their ship. "Hera, we're leaving." He called as Amber and Hera exited the ship.

"Thanks for the tour," Hera said as they walked off the ship.

"Anytime," Amber said and even handed over a communication. "Just in case. I'm not strong with the Force, but I get a gut feeling sometimes."

"Thanks," Hera said as she pocketed the device.

"Good luck," Amber said as she walked Hera made her way back to her shuttle.

Peter watched Hera make her way onboard her ship and chuckled. "She's sweet."

"Make a new friend?" Rex asked Kyle and Amber.

"She's kind of strange," Kyle commented.

"I like her," Amber stated.

"You're just saying that to spite me," Kyle replied as he walked on board. "We got somewhere else to be?"

"You're just changing the subject because you know I'm right," Amber stated as she walked after him.

"They remind me of Sam and Bucky," Kamala commented. "Constantly fighting and arguing."

"Okay, now I can't unsee that." Peter laughed as they entered the Stellar Sentinel to take off back to Lothal to get paid.

Then the Protectors made their way back through Hyperspace and began to approach Lothal. Once they exited Hyperspace, they didn't see any Imperial's which was surprising, but was to be expected since they didn't leave anyone alive to tell the story last time.

"We'll drop you off in the Defender, me and Kate are going to make sure we get paid in the Guardian," Peter promised Kamala. "We don't want to have Vizago ditch out on us last second." He then looked over to the droid. "Cheep, you keep an eye on the ship."

"Makes sense." Kamala nodded.

"Hey, when Order 66 went off, we sent out a distress signal," Peter informed Kamala. "Did you happen to catch that?"

"I left it behind," Kamala explains. "Figured it would be best to ditch everything." She then gestured to her newly designed costume that looked similar to her old homemade outfit but was vastly different. "Even this I had to remake when I burned my old one."

Peter nodded and they watched as the ship was beginning to make its way to hide out of the Lothal atmosphere. When they did so, they parked the Stellar Sentinel and they made their way towards the two ships.

"So, how does this work now?" Kamala wonders.

"Well... we can give you a communicator, but we need to keep running." Peter told her. "We have a Jedi and a Clone deserter on the team, and not to mention two Avengers so we're a magnet for danger."

Kamala nodded and understood. "Well, you should come and visit the family." Kamala offered. "They'd love to meet you."

"We'll have to see." Peter said as he gave Kamala a pat on the shoulder. "But I am seriously glad we ran into each other."

Kamala smiled and gave Peter a hug. "So am I."

Peter and Kamala seperstdd as they both went their separate ways. Then they separating into two groups as Rex, Kyle and Amber took the Defender to bring Kamala back and Peter and Kate took the Guardian.

Peter and Kate were seen later finally arriving to Vizago and told them of their success. "Any problems procuring the weapons?"

"Just the usual." Peter shrugged. "Nothign we couldn't handle. Your intel paid off on the weapons.

"We took a finger and stuck it to the empire, and helped out some people in need." Kate said with pride. "And you still owe us."

A droid then made its way over to then drop a crate full of cash for them. Peter snuck his hand out and was waiting for the credits they were owe. Vizago started to hand out the credits they were owed, but then stopped halfway.

"Keep going." Peter demanded, not looking to be short sided.

"I could." Vizago seemed to have something planned. "Or I could trade the rest of the bounty for. Another bit of intel you might be interested in."

"And what would that be?" Kate asks.

"There has been rumors circulating. From the Empire to the Pyke Syndicate." Vizago tells them. "The Wookies."

Peter and Kate both looked shocked when they heard the news of the Wookies. Last they heard, their home world was being invaded by the Empire and even other crime lords taking them in as slaves.

"You know where they are?" Peter asks.

"I do." Vizago stated.

Peter and Kate began wondering if the Wookies were worth it to lose half of their reward money for finishing the job. But then they knew there was no way they were going to let the Wookies suffer wherever they were.

Kamala brought Rex, Kyle and Amber through the streets and they were even being greeted by the crowd of people. They all seemed to love Kamala, likely because she was the only one looking out for them. When they reached a house in the middle of the city, she tapped the controls to open the doors. She then walked inside with the others right behind.

"Hey, Mira? Ephraim? I'm back." Kamala called as she strolled around the room. "You guys in here? I brought some friends."

Ephraim was the first to enter the room as he was happy to see Kamala. "Kamala! It's so good to see you're okay!" He then hugged Kamala. "We saw the chase, and were worried."

"No, I'm fine. I even found some old friends." Kamala said as she gestured toward the Protectors. "These are my friends. They go by the name of the Protectors."

"Protectors?" Ephraim seemed to recognize the name. "As in the Protectors of the Nebula?"

"Yep, that's us." Kyle confirmed. "Half of us. The rest of the squad is busy elsewhere."

Amber was listening and was suddenly drawn to something. She felt as if something was pulling her towards something and looked over towards the other room, wondering what's going on. Then she watched as Mira then walked into the room and was carrying a small bundle that was easy to identify as a baby.

"Oh, right, I forgot to tell you." Kamala told the Protectors. "That's their son. Ezra."

Amber walked over to Ezra and noticed the young baby looking up and looking into her eyes. Then she felt a connection through the Force, confirming to her that Ezra definitely has a connection to the Force.

"Cute kid." Amber decided to keep his abilities a secret. There was no reason to tell them and hoped the best. That Cal kid and now Ezra was showing the future of the Force was strong. "Let's go."

"She's right. We've got to get going." Rex said, nodding to the family. "Ma'am. Sir. Baby."

Amber sighed as she followed Rex. "You can take the soldier out of the war, but you can't take the manners out of the soldier."

"I don't think that's how it goes." Kyle said as he turned back to Kamala. "See ya around, Hard Light."

"It's Ms. Marvel." Kamala corrected playfully. "Protector of Lothal."

The Watcher smiled as he watched the events unfold. "I am the Watcher. I see all and know all. And I know before we continue this journey, we need to head somewhere else first. You see, the Protectors are about to be entangled in the path of another's story. A rogue smuggler and his soon to be crew." Then he stared off into the darkness of space to make his way across the stars towards a far away planet. "Be prepared. We're heading for Corellia."
