Tyler was in the middle of an important phone call with one of his investors, when one of his employees, Kol Mikelson, walked into his office and placed a huge yellow envelope on the desk. As soon as he was done with his phone call, he set the phone back down on the receiver and noticed the envelope.

" What the hell is this?" Tyler questioned, picking up the envelope and raising his brow for a moment.

Kol shrugs his shoulders. "Got no clue. Some lady just dropped it off and said it was important that you get it."

"Did you at least get a name?"

" Nope, she left before I had the chance to ask," Kol said as he walked out of Tyler's office to give him some privacy.

Tyler stared at the envelope for a few seconds before he finally tore it open and checked to see what was inside. Once he pulled out the papers and noticed that they were divorce papers, Tyler scoffed as he dropped them down on his desk like they had burned him. He couldn't believe that Elena would actually go this far.

Tyler got up from his desk and walked out of his office and walked over to his secretary, Vicki." I need you to cancel my calls and reschedule my lunch meeting. Oh, and get my lawyer on the phone." He instructed as he walked back into his office, locked his door, and closed it.

While Elena waited for the next customer to walk through her bookstore, she used this time to look through more apartments on her iPad. She's already looked at a few so far. But none of them really peaks her interest yet or reaches her pricing range either. Owning her own bookstore, one would think she made enough money to afford a place like her own apartment. But unfortunately, she doesn't.

"Maybe I should just move out of New Orleans," Elena said to herself as she blew out a breath and closed her iPad, giving up for now. She set her iPad aside and looked up when she saw Sophie Deveraux walking into the bookstore.

"Hey Sophie," Elena greeted her with a friendly smile.

"Hey Elena," Sophie said as she walked up to the counter. "I was wondering if the book I ordered had come in yet?"

Elena nodded her head as she walked away from the counter for a moment." Yes, I have it right here." She said as she pulled Sophie's book out from the little shelf behind her." Here you go."

"Thanks, Elena, I really appreciate this," Sophie said as she took the book from Elena and started to look through it.

"Oh of course, you know you can order new books anytime." Elena said, chuckling softly.

Sophie nodded her head." I will remember that. I have to get to work or my sister would kill me if I'm late. I will see you later, Elena." She said as she waved Elena goodbye and walked out of the bookstore.

Once Sophie left her bookstore, Elena sighed softly as she grabbed her iPad again and started to browse through her search for apartments again. As much as she enjoys staying with Jenna and Ric, she can't stay with them forever. She needs her space and privacy.

Going over the divorce papers, Marcel blew a whistle under his breath as he shook his head." Damn, Lockwood. You really fucked up this time, didn't you?" He asked with a chuckle as he handed the divorce papers back to Tyler.

Tyler rolled his eyes. "Whatever, man. I know what I did was wrong. But she didn't have to go and do this." He said with a sigh as he closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose, sighing heavily. Tyler knew he had hurt Elena and betrayed her trust. But he never thought she would actually ask for a divorce.

"What does your lawyer want you to do?"

Tyler scoffs shaking his head." He doesn't want me to do anything. He doesn't even want me to go to Elena and confront her about this." Before Tyler came over to Marcel's. His first thought was to talk to Elena but of course his lawyer advice against it. Because he thought it would be best if he and Elena doesn't speak to each other for awhile.

"Damn, you know maybe this divorce will be the best for you two. I mean it's obvious that you two weren't meant to be together forever. Plus she's not asking you for anything. All she wants is a divorce and to move on with her life." Marcel said as he shrugged his shoulders little.

Tyler shook his head." No, she's my wife, and there's no way in hell that I'm giving up that easily. If I have to, I will fight her on this. I refuse to give up on her or our marriage. She's my wife, and I'm not letting her go without a fight."

Tyler loves Elena, and just because he slept with Vicki Donavan, it doesn't mean that he and Elena should get a divorce. Not over this. Tyler will do whatever he has to do to keep Elena in his life. He's not signing those divorce papers.

All through dinner, as she sat at the kitchen table with Jenna and Ric, Elena was kinda quiet, lost in her own thoughts. All day, while she was at the bookstore helping customers and going through book orders, Elena half expected to see Tyler walking through her bookstore and confronting her about the divorce papers already. Elena knew that Tyler had gotten them already. So why hadn't he said anything yet?

Of course at this point Elena really doesn't care what Tyler wants or what he has to say. Since he's the one who cheated and not her. He's the one who let their marriage fall apart, not her. All Elena did was try to make their marriage work. But unfortunately, Tyler didn't want to make it work. Instead, all Tyler wanted to do is fuck Vicki Donavan.

Ric looked over and noticed that Elena was quiet." "Elena, is everything okay?" he asked with concern.

Elena sighed deeply as she shook her head." I am not entirely sure."

" What do you mean?" Jenna asked, taking a sip of her wine before setting the glass down on the table.

Elena blew out a breath as she ran her fingers through her hair. "I haven't heard from Tyler all day, and I know he got the divorce papers already today. Because last night my lawyer called me and he told me that Tyler should have gotten them first thing this morning."

" You don't think Tyler is going to try to win you back, or something?" Jenna asked.

Elena snorts a laugh as,she shook her head." He could try to win me back. But there's no way that I will ever go back to him. Not after what he did." Elena exhales deeply as she decided that she didn't want to talk about Tyler or her divorce anymore, so she decided to change the subject.

"I think I might have found an apartment," Elena said with excitement in her voice. After days of trying to find the right apartment that she could afford, Elena believes she finally found what she was looking for.

"Wow, that's quick." Ric said, honestly thinking it would take Elena at least a month or two to find one. He and Jenna knew Elena was planning to get her own place. He just didn't think it would happen this soon.

Elena nods her head as she sets her glass down after taking a sip of her wine. "Oh, believe me, I know this is so sudden and everything. But the apartment is available now, and it's within my budget. Plus, it's a little closer to the bookstore."

" When are you going to have a chance to see it?" Jenna asked, her curiosity evident.

" Tomorrow, I am meeting with the apartment owner. She will show me around and hopefully she'll let me move in as soon as possible."

"Whose the owner?"

Elena shrugs her shoulders. "I'm not sure really. I think her name is Josephine LaRue." When Elena called earlier today asking about the apartment, someone from the Realtor's office said that a Josephine LaRue would meet with Elena tomorrow morning.

" You know, if you want. I can come with you and check out the apartment together," Jenna suggested.

Elena nods her head again, hoping that Jenna would actually come with her tomorrow. She really didn't want to go by herself, and Jenna could come for support." "Yeah, that would be great. Thanks, Aunt Jenna."
