After returning to the Temple, the heroes take Terry to the medical wing. The medical droids remove his outfit and put him in a bacta tank. After that, they put on patient robes for Terry and lay him on one of the beds and put a breathing apparatus on him. During this time, Terry is still unconscious. Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Ahsoka enter to check on Terry.
"How's he doing?" Anakin asks.
"His body is fully healed." One droid responds. "But on a higher note, he is in a coma. It appears to be a big one."
"How big?" Ahsoka asks
"10-12 months." The droid responds. The trio is shocked.
"Nearly a year?!" Anakin says. "How is that possible?"
"Unfortunately, I cannot explain the nature of this coma." The bot confesses.
"Perhaps it has something to do with all that energy released in the explosion." Obi-Wan deduces.
"It must of taken him all the strength he had left to stay awake for a few seconds after he crashed down." Ahsoka says.
"Perhaps." Anakin agrees. "All we can do now is wait."
Within Terry's mind, everything is black. Then, Terry's vision begins to brighten. As he opens his eyes, he realizes he is not on Coruscant, he appears to be in another world, one that was never found. He is in a clearing of what looks like a large forest that stretches for miles. He looks around and then a familiar voice calls out.
"That was a spectacular act of bravery you did."
Terry looked around and looked up. Above, was the giant spider.
"You again." Terry says with surprise.
"Indeed." The spider says.
"How did I survive that blast and fall?" Terry asks.
"Because of me." The spider says. "You were very near to death but I was able to bring your consciousness to here to keep you alive. If I sent you back now, you would die.
"Where am I?" Terry asks.
"A place to finish your training." The spider answers. "I gave you some knowledge when I bit you. Now, it is time to give you the rest of that knowledge. Until then, you will remain here. Once your training is finished, you will live."
"How long will it take?" Terry asks.
"For every hour that passes, a full month will pass in the real world." The spider answers.
"So be it." Terry declares. "I don't expect this to be quick.
"You have confidence. But will it be enough?" The spider asks.
"Sometimes, it's all you need." Terry answers. "I am a fast learner, but I will not rush it."
"Very good. Let your training begin." The spider declares. "As you can turn invisible, not even Force wielders can detect your presence, but it is limited. So, your first lesson is to make that invisibility stronger to where you can remain invisible for much longer. Throughout this forest are herbs that upon eaten, will increase your ability to remain invisible for longer periods of time. Use your senses to locate them. You must find all ten of them to proceed. Pick them up, crush them, and eat them. And do not worry, you won't taste or feel them." With that, the spider disappears and Terry sets off into the forest.
From the moment he enters, Terry notices that there are traps nearly everywhere. Knowing that the spider's training will test his reflexes, he uses the Force and his enhanced senses to detect where the next trap will be. Ranging from monster plants, killer insects, and poisonous fumes, Terry knows that without a lightsaber, he will be useless so he must learn what to do without it. Using his senses, he locates the first herb camouflaged against a tree. He eats it and feels a warm sense of power surging through him. The second herb is in the branches, the third in a tree hole, the fourth in a group of similar colored herbs but when sensed, gives a different signal than all the others.
Following his senses, Terry tracks the fifth herb to a small clearing and spots it in plain sight. As he prepares to advance, he scans the area and detects that it's surrounded by traps of shooting needles. He advances and the needles shoot out. Using his senses, Terry evades all of them without being hit and takes the herb.
The sixth herb is located on top of a large rock and surrounded by large monstrous insects. As he approaches, the insects lock eyes on him. A tense minute passes and Terry makes his move. At the first step, Terry makes a dash towards the insects who charge with their mouths open with their teeth bare. Terry uses his speed and agility to move around each insect and grabs their legs and slams them hard on the ground or throw them into each other. With every insect beaten, more appear making it harder to get even close to the rock. Terry realizes that to get to the herb, there can be no hesitation. He jumps across on the insects by bouncing off each one and gets to the rock. With more insects coming, he quickly climbs up dodging the insects climbing down, reaches the herb, and eats it.
The seventh herb is located on an islet in the middle of a circular chasm guarded by hundreds flying creatures. To get to the islet, Terry has to jump across on the backs of the creatures and not use his webbing for they will all charge him if he does. He times each jump carefully and after 20 minutes, he makes it to the islet. He eats the herb and makes his way back across the chasm on the creatures.
The eight herb is located at the bottom of another chasm with the walls crawling with more vicious insects. The herb is surrounded by several worm creatures. Terry begins his descent and the insects attacks him by squirting poison and jumping at him. He manages to avoid each attack with a few close calls and one slash to his back. As he reaches the pit, the worms immediately rise and guard the herb. Terry notices a large branch high enough above the herb. He fires a web and swings high enough over the worms and grabs the herb. Before he can eat it, the insects all come at him. He goes invisible and they miss him. He stays invisible long enough to make it out of the chasm. Upon making it back to the surface, he eats the herb. Terry realizes he was able to stay invisible longer than he ever could have and feels the power the herbs give him.
The ninth herb is located high up in the highest trees of the jungle surrounded by giant spiders. As Terry climbs up the nearest tree, the spiders start climbing down towards him with fangs bare. Terry shoots webs to throw them off while more continue to appear. Terry jumps to another tree and bigger spiders appear and shoot venom. Terry gets a few small dabs but the pain doesn't stop him. He jumps to the next tree and those spiders shoot webs, sticking Terry's hand to the tree. He manages to get loose and knocks more down. He swings from a nearby branch and grabs the herb and eats it.
The tenth and final herb is located at the top of a mountain that towers over the forest like a large shadow. Terry notices that the mountain is crawling with all the most fiercest creatures in the jungle. Spiders, insects, worms, winged beasts, and traps. As he begins his trek upwards, the traps are the first obstacle. Shooting needles, pressure plates that cause poison streams, pods that explode poison gas, razor traps. After getting past all the traps, Terry rests for a while and continues up the mountain. He encounters all the creatures and slowly but surely manages to defeat each and every one of them, but not without injury. He suffers numerous cuts and a small poison wound that slowly burns. Finally, after over an hour, Terry makes it to the top and eats the herb. Upon eating it, he is suddenly transported back to the clearing where he started completely healed. Then the spider appears.
"Most impressive, young one." The spider congratulates. "When you said you were a fast learner, you certainly proved it. For no one can get through this test as quickly as you did."
"I was never one to boast, but I will tell you it wasn't easy." Terry admits. "Every challenge was harder than the last."
"Indeed." The spider acknowledges. "In the end, you have proven to be worthy possessor of this power. How do you feel now?"
"Every herb gave me a strange feeling inside that felt warmer with each herb." Terry describes. "After the last, it felt like I couldn't feel any form of cold."
"Very good." The spider says. "You finished this test in 3 hours. You are coming quite a way. Your next test will help your senses become more powerful."
