"Adam!" He stopped mid step hearing his boss call to him. "Sorry I just can't right now." He looked down knowing he was in trouble for his outburst. "Hey. It's fine. I actually agree with you. I was going to suggest you go do a coffee run for all of us. Get some fresh air. You obviously need it." Adam nodded in shame. "Adam. It's fine. You are doing fine. You just can't be around him yet. This all to fresh." Voight hand was on his shoulder holding him steady. "Okay. I have an errand to run for Kim and I anyway so yeah coffee run works." Adam just nodded. "Errand? Everything okay?" Voight was worried a bit. "Yeah uh yesterday we put in an offer on a house at the lake. A second home for us to escape all this. I need to drop off the hold deposit check. We literally close on the house in 10 days." His smile was back thinking about the house but also Kim's smile at the house.
"That's great! I'm really happy for you both. You both deserve it and really need it. Focus on that. That will get you both through this." Voight was so proud of them, for the life they worked to create together. He didn't know Kim well but she was definitely the perfect match for Adam. "Thanks boss. I've never seen her so beautiful as when she was looking at the water. She had this glow around her. It was literally the most perfect thing in the world. The way her eyes sparkled looking at new flooring and bathroom fixtures was exciting and kind of surprising. I will do anything to make this happen for her." He smiled so wide thinking of her. "That's great son. Really! I'm happy for you both. Go run your errand, get coffee for the team and come back. Bob should be gone by then." Voight removed him hand letting Adam know it was okay to leave.
He sent a text to Kim letting her know that he was headed to his Aunt to drop off the check. She texted back right away with a smile face emoji and a message that she was about to jump on a call. He wished her luck and went about his day. He arrived at his Aunts office to drop the check. She wasn't busy so he was able to stop by to talk for a bit. "Okay so apparently you have made lots of life changes Adam." She watched him laugh. "Yeah it's been insane but I'm really living a great life right now. Kim has really turned my life around. I've never been this happy in my life. We connected right away and haven't been apart since. Even when I was in the hospital she never left my side. She's the love of my life. After my parents divorce I was sure I would have this but here I am. Happy, engaged, buying a second home, it's crazy. Oh and mom doesn't know about the engagement yet so please don't tell her." He shuddered thinking about her response finding out from anyone other than him.
"Adam I'm so happy for you! That's amazing! And I would tell your mom I promise. Okay now I'm sure you have to get back to work. I will call you when I have the date and time for closing. I will also have the total cost for you at that point. So we will be in touch shortly." They said goodbyes and Adam headed to the coffee shop. He had all the orders so he knew everyone's favorite coffee. Luckily most were pretty simple but Erin and Kevin were difficult. As he drove he wondered how Kim was doing on her call. He wasn't sure which was first but he knew she had two calls before noon.
Kim was waiting in the dining room for the call. She sat with her rarely used laptop in front of her. She clicked on the link for Zoom and waited for your manager and the director to start their meeting. Her manager Brian was first to join the call and they chatted while they waited. The director joined moments later. "Good Morning Ms Burgess. Thank you for making yourself available." The director, Mr Winston offers. "Well thank you for taking the time to talk about extending my contract. As you know I'm looking for two more years before I go into a semi retirement status." She was very thankful they were talking so early about it. "Well Steven has been very insistent that you two finish your contracts together. So this gives us time to start negotiations." Winston replied.
"Well I am very excited to start negotiations with you. I want to mention that when I started working here almost 6 years ago the shows were not sold out. They were barely attended. It took almost two years but now every show I'm in are sell outs, including the up coming show. I currently have a magazine with my face on the cover out now and have two more coming out later this year. And I am working on becoming the face of a clothing company that would make my interest explode more than it already has. I can't give more details on that but it's huge. This was also my third year at the MET Gala. How many ballerinas do you think they have? Only one. And lastly I have only had one cost of living adjustment in the years I have been here. It was 6%. I'm looking for 10% per year." Kim gave her full explanation before she paused to listen.
"I thank you for all you have done for us. Everyone really appreciates it. And yes I agree you deserve a raise for what you have done. I'm just not sure we can do 10%. How about this. I guarantee you two more years with a raise that will be between 6 and 10%? Would that work to secure you for those two years?" He hoped that would work. He had not been around during her first contract negotiations so he wasn't sure if she was unrealistic or not. "That works for me as long as it's not below 6%. While I make a good living cost of living goes up 3 percent every year. I know most companies don't give those kind of raises but they should. Especially when they perform as well as I have for you." She was very serious about opinion.
"I agree. I promise you it will not be under 6%. It's the least we can do. I will get back to you by the end of the week with the final number and we can sign the contract then. Till then thank you for your time and I look forward to getting this signed and behind us." Winston was happy with the agreement they had achieved. "Thank you for this! I'm excited to continue my work with the Chicago Ballet. And I appreciate this opportunity. I look forward to seeing that final number and putting this to rest. Then I can focus on the job at hand." Kim said her goodbyes and hung up. Texting Adam right away to let him know.
"Hey baby! Just wanted to let you know I got my two year contract extension. They could t give me the exact percent increase but it will between 6 and 10%. I'm so excited! I hope you have a good day too! Love you!" She finished her text with a heart emoji before putting down her phone. She time to kill before the next call. So she started the wash and gave the guards some drinks. Her phone dinged shortly after. "That's great darling! I'm so proud of you! Love you too!" Even with the issues with Bob he was damn proud of his girl. She was killing it all on her own. And he was just amazed but how nothing kept her down for long. It inspired him. Gave him the drive to push past this whole mess with Bob.
His return to the district had him feeling pretty darn good. Everyone excited to see him. He knew it was the coffee but it liked living in the moment anyway. He sat at his desk finishing up the leftover paperwork on the last case but couldn't miss the commander coming in to the bullpen. He kept his head down, they all did. Adam knew it was about Bob but he wanted to stay out of it if he could. With no such luck he was called to the office for a sit down. "Adam. Commander Fisher just wants to know what you about the gambling issue. You are not in trouble. Just the facts that's all." Voight watched Adam sit and hang his head. He knew he shouldn't but this really beat him up. And he was torn, it was his dad but it was also Kim.
"Um okay so about a week ago he showed up at our apartment unannounced. He was at the door, you have to be buzzed in. So I guess he waited for someone to leave before he got the door. Anyway. He asked to come in, I said no. He had pulled Kim over the day before and said some horrible things to her about me not loving her and that I would leave when I got bored. I didn't want him in our home. He said he didn't want the neighbors to overhear the conversation. I didn't tell him that Kim owns the entire top floor. He doesn't need to know that. I um let him in. He was acting scared, edgy. He eventually asked for money. Said he was in financial trouble. I never even asked with what or how much. I just told him I didn't have it. He told me I should ask Kim. We fought Kim came running out calmed me down and then I told him to leave." He ran his hands down his face trying to steady himself.
"I knew in the past he had gambling issues. I paid a few off for him. But it was never large amounts. Couple hundred max. This, even if I had known about it I wouldn't have been able to pay it. I don't have that kind of money and I wouldn't have asked Kim. I swear I didn't know." His head was still hung low. "Officer. I believe you. Your actions, your posture, you voice all tells me you had nothing to do with this. But we can't have cops with gambling debts problems like this. We will try to work with him but we can't promise anything. He has to want to get help. And hopefully this is the rock bottom he needed." Fisher left the office leaving the other two men to talk. "You okay kid?" Voight asked watching the weight of this case crushing Adam. "Not really but I will be. It's this case you know. We were so happy yesterday and it all got ruined by my dad. A bullet could have killed Kim because he owed some people money. It's killing me inside that I almost lost her." He sighed heavily but he was leaning back now. His head resting on the back of the couch.
"How's Kim doing?" He asked watching Adam smile thinking about her. "She's okay. Took the day off from rehearsal. Said she couldn't concentrate well enough to practice. She taking some calls from home, doing her shopping orders for shoes and dance stuff. I know she planned to do the wash today. Overall she seemed okay. She slept well. Um had to tire her out but she slept well. I didn't. I just saw that wall and her head close by. It haunted me all night." Adam stared at the ceiling the entire time. "Listen I get it. I really do. But she's okay. You are both safe and with any luck the rest of the offenders will be in custody later today." Voight hoped it was a small comfort to him. "Yeah I know. And thank you. For asking. Not just about me but about her too." Adam watched him nod. They were interrupted by a knock on the door.
"Boss we have a possible location." Dawson came in briefly to let them know. "Great everyone gear up we rollout in 5. Sorry Adam, not you. You are a victim here. Just try to relax." Voight was stern and Adam knew he had no choice. He was on desk duty and that's it. He did watch as the team left hoping this was the end of this nightmare. He leaned back on his chair thinking about Kim and their new home. He decided to take a page out of her book he headed to the break room and took up a spot on the floor against the wall. He was going to try to meditate hoping it would calm him mind. He was winging it for sure but he figured he needed to do something.
Kim was finishing a load of wash when her alarm went off. She knew she had a call any minute now. She was nervous but excited for this call. It was a huge break for her and people just like her. Dancers weren't considered athletes, they were looked at like they were beneath other athletes. She dealt with it for years and this would put the entire dance community in a different light. She checked herself in the mirror before she headed to the computer. She sat down with a drink next to her and a note pad and pen. She wanted to take notes of the dates she needed to be available.
She signed into the Zoom meeting. Headquarters was in New York so this would have to work. Again her manager was the first to sign on. "Kim you ready for this meeting?" Brian asked. "Absolutely! I'm so excited for it. Not just for me but all the dancers to be seen on a level playing field. That we are athletes. I want this but also need this for all of us." Her eyes were bright with excitement. "I agree Kim. This is important for you all. You are athletes and maybe stronger than most other athletes out there. Let just get this done." Brian stated as they heard a new member join the call. "Good afternoon Kimberly. My name is Lily Busch. Thank you for taking my call today." She introduced herself with a kind smile. "No thank you for this opportunity. I'm very excited for this chance. And please call me Kim." Kim was beaming trying to stay calm but it wasn't really working.
"Well Kim we are very excited to talk to you too. We have followed your career for awhile now. And we feel like this is the right time to bring you on board as the new face of our brand. We like your charity work as well. So we are creating a new line that will have a portion of the proceeds going to the Dizzy Feet Foundation which know is near and dear to your heart." She paused watching the surprise flashing across Kim's face. "Really that is so exciting! Thank you so very much! That will really help a lot of under privileged kids get access to dance. I'm so stunned and thrilled at the same time. Thank you so much!" Kim wiped her eyes clearing a few tears that threatened to fall.
"It's such a great organization that help turn kids to dance instead of the streets. From our understanding you have a home studio is that correct?" Lily asked. "Yes it is." Kim answered slightly confused. "Well that's perfect. We would like to do some of the photo shoots in your home studio. We think it would be more intimate and have less people interrupting our sessions. Less interruptions means less to e between shots which saves us money in the long run. We also have a few dates that you will need to be at runway shows. The first is October 15th. And the second is February 8th. That's New York Fashion week which we know you are a part of already. We also have one in July. Don't have the date just yet but we will let you know. That one is in the headquarters here. How does that sound so far?" Lily asked watching Kim writing down the dates.
"That works for me. I'm excited about it. I just really want the chance to show dancers are athletes too. And that we should be on the same level as them. This would be huge for us." Kim was still beaming. "Great. Other than that you would need to wear the current lines while coming and going to the studio. Running errands, at the gym. Obviously going out to eat at nice places might be hard but just try to wear the items as much as you can." Lily watched Kim writing still. "That's works. My fiancé told me today to order him some stuff from you guys for him as well. He wants to support me and then you any way he can too. It was adorable." Kim laughed. "That's great! Maybe we can do shots with him in the studio as well. Dancing together?" Lily asked excitedly.
"Oh um he's not a dancer. He's a cop. And I don't know that he would be comfortable with it but we can always ask him." Kim sighed knowing he probably wouldn't mind but it might not be safe for him with his undercover work. "Either way is fine. It's great that he wants to support you and your career. We are excited to hear that. Okay so let's talk the compensation part and then you ask any questions you might have." Lily started to explain how the compensation worked which had Kim taking more notes than ever. "Alright any questions you might have?" Lily asked. "When would the first photo shoot take place?" Kim asked knowing her calendar was pretty tight. "We are looking for the end of March beginning of April. Is that okay?" Lily watched Kim look over her schedule. "Yeah that works. I have off Wednesday's and Sunday's. I work nights the rest of the days. I can make myself available in the mornings on those days but I have a dry rehearsal each day in the afternoons." Kim explained knowing it was crazy.
"Wednesday's will work fine. We can just work longer hours that day to get in as many shots as possible. Any other questions for me?" Lily asked watching Kim thinking if something wasn't covered. "Not that I can think of. I'm just ready to sign and get to work. This is amazing!" Kim was back to beaming. "Alright well if you look in your email you will have the contracts to sign. Once I get the signed copy back we will make a public announcement about you joining our brand as the new face. We look forward to an exciting future with you Kim! Congratulations!" After a few more pleasantries Kim signed the contract and they were signing off the call.
Kim closed her laptop before jumping up and down over and over again. She was beyond excited. And couldn't wait to tell Adam. She cleaned up a bit more before heading out the door with her guards in tow. Adam has finished his meditation not really sure it helped but he was happy to have tried it. He waited not so patiently for the team to come back. It felt like hours, it hadn't been but felt like hours. He cleaned his desk before moving to the break room to clean out the fridge. Anything to keep his busy. Just as he finished he heard the team coming up the stairs. At first he was disappointed that they hadn't come back with the perp but he finally laid eyes on the man behind the crime. The man who almost had Kim killed. Relief washed over his body seeing the man in cuffs looking defeated.
"Thank you. Thank you all for this. I can never repay you protecting myself but most importantly Kim." He went to eat team member offering a hand shake but most just hugged him. They were a family and this is what family did for each other. He watched as his boss Interrogate the man. It was brutal to watch. Not really because of the crime but because it involved himself and the women he loved. The guy couldn't hide his crimes. He was guilty and they had the proof. They also had all the files on Bob, Adam and Kim. They would all be safe now. "Hey Adam. You got a visitor." Jay called to him. Seeing he was zoned out at the moment. Adam turned to look at him confused but followed him out.
Just as he saw her she was running in to his arms smiling wide. "I did it! I got the job!" She yelled jumping into his embrace. "I'm so proud of you! That's amazing!" He hugged her tight. His team watching happily not sure what was happening but enjoyed seeing them both happy again. "And it's twitter official so I can officially say I'm the new face of the Danskin brand! I'm stupid excited about it! We have to celebrate tonight!" Kim was beyond excited about this. The team while not knowing the brand itself was excited for her. Especially since she was so excited about it. "This is huge! We are definitely celebrating tonight. Wherever you want to go we will go." He was so proud of her. She really was making a n amazing life for herself, for them.
"So can you explain all this?" Kevin was happy for them but had no clue what it meant. "Sorry! I was just so excited to tell Adam the news. So Danskin is a brand of workout gear, mostly dance wear and they signed me to be the face of the brand. And they are creating a new line where the proceeds go to a charity I support that give opportunities to under privileged kids to learn to dance. Giving them access to something that helps get them off the streets. I'm beyond excited. Photo shoots will take place in my home studio and can include Adam if he's interested, or allowed to be in the photos. It's such a great honor. Dancers don't get these opportunities. We aren't seen as athletes. So this is huge for me and people like me." Kim explained beaming with pride.
"That's incredible! I'm so happy for you. And please call me if you get Adam in any of the shots that involve a tutu. I need to see it!" Kevin laughed at his friends face just as they all started to laugh. "Well they assumed I was marrying a dancer but I explained he's a cop and that didn't deter them. They make men's clothes too." Kim shrugged. "I will think about it! But some more good news. We are safe. They got the guy my dads owes money too and he's going to jail for a very long time. Maybe for life. But we are safe." He watched the relief flood her body. "Even better news! Lots to celebrate tonight. Alright Im headed home. I still need to place my very large Danskin order since I need to start wearing the new lines ASAP. Oh figure out where to go tonight we should go out. My way of thanking you all for saving our asses. Okay?" She watched them nod. "Perfect! Bye baby! Love you! See you tonight!" She kissed his quick before heading towards the stairs. "Love you too darling!" He watched till she was gone but the smile never left his face.
"So that was crazy. She going to be working more?" Erin asked shocked by the fact that Kim was always busy to begin with. "Yeah. It's mostly photo shoots, a few runway things. Its really not a ton of work for her. But her imagine will be everywhere. Online, print ads, billboards, commercials. It's going to be insane. But this allows Kim to really consider semi retirement at 30 without the worry about money. Not that she needs to worry but I think this is helpful. Plus she's right. She is not seen as an athlete and doesn't get treated as such. They don't get endorsement deals. They don't get footwear named after them or clothing branded after them. This is huge for them. I'm beyond proud of her. Her fire always shinning through. Making things happen. She's a force that's for certain." Adam sat at his desk looking for a cool place to go celebrate all the good in their lives.
"Guys how do you feel about Carnival? It's Latin fusion was a new Rumba cocktail bar. Looks cool." Adam gave them time to look it up and check it out. One by one they agreed to check it out. Al and Voight decided not to go claiming they were too old to go out with the kids. They agreed to meet at 7 at the restaurant. He texted Kim right away to let her know the plans for the night before getting a reservation. The rest of the day was all paperwork for the team. Adam was online looking for things for the new house. He had no paperwork to do since he couldn't work the case and no new cases came in.
Kim had arrived home and started more laundry before starting her massive shopping order from Danskin. She had decided to order one of everything in every color. And then get a few pieces for Adam that she knew he would wear. It was fairly easy but time consuming to order all the pieces. But she got it done with in the hour. She then set out to go through all her workout gear and get rid of all the items that were worn out. And then made a pile of things she just didn't like to donate. That took several hours as she tired on each item that she wasn't sure about to help decide.
She received Adams message and started to look for something to wear for the evening. She wanted something fun and easy but not super casual. It wasn't much longer before Adam arrived home. "Darling? You home?" He called out when he didn't see her right away. "In the bedroom." She yelled back. "Just the way I like it!" He stared as he walked in. "Ha ha! I just finished going through all my work out stuff. That pile is trash, that pile is donate and that pile is keep. Figured it was good to purge with all the new items ordered." She was proud of her accomplishment with her closet. "That's great! I'm sure I have stuff I could get rid of too." He hadn't gone through his closet in years. Even when he moved her didn't bother. "Yes you could! I've already replaced a few pieces and you didn't even notice." She pecked his lips before sauntering away. "Oh really?" He watched her leaving the room. "Yup!" She winked heading to the laundry area.
She walked back with the dried clothes ready to fold them and put them away. She saw Adam at work looking through his things. He threw a few things in to the piles but not a lot. She knew there were a few ratty shirts she wanted to toss but she couldn't bring herself to do it. She would just have to wait. He did help her put the wash away though before they started to get ready for a night out to celebrate. It was nice having people to celebrate with. People cheering you on. People who weren't trying to cash in on your fame. It felt strange to her but she liked it. She of course took longer to get ready trying to look her best for the night out. Adam only changed his shirt and shoes before he was ready to head out.
"So I looked at things for the house today. I left all the tabs open on the iPad if you want to look. I put it all in the cart so it was easier to remember what I was looking at. Obviously I'm not buying all of it since there are like two different dishwashers and two different washers. I figured we could research them and then decide from there." She watched as he grabbed her iPad. "I also looked for things today too. But I looked for deck furniture and a grill." He watched her roll her eyes slightly but just laughed. He knew their was not anger behind it. He browsed through the tabs, some required not much thought like the flooring but others they really needed to talk about. The appliances being one. But he liked that she picked options so they could both compare and decide. He liked that she was trying to be practical about it not just buy8mg the most expensive thing because she could.
"Crazy question. You don't want a front load washer like you have here?" He had noticed both options were top load. Neither had the middle spinner but they were top load. "Yeah since it's got the bi-fold doors the front loaders don't work great. The soap dispenser doesn't open very far. Plus they are normally smaller. So for practicality reasons top load works best. Plus they tend to break less with less options." She was watching him as she got dressed. "That makes sense. Good call then." He kept looking through the tabs. He got to the ceiling fans and was surprised once again at the simple design she had chosen. They were all the same for medium sized rooms and affordable. Plus they had lights so they wouldn't need lamps in every room.
"You know there are some really good choices here. And I like both paint colors. I'm not sure how to chose." He looked at both the sage green and the light blue. Both great colors for a lake house but he just wasn't sure. "I'm leaning more towards the light blue. Only because I think we will find more bedding and decorations to match it than the sage." She was just finishing getting dressed when she stepped out. "That's a good point too. I think that's the way to go then. Once we get the house we can go to store and get all the bedding things. That's probably the easiest thing to shop for." He watched her nod as she put her earrings in. "Or we could shop online and have it shipped there. Less transporting for us to do." She laughed sounding a bit lazy. "Maybe but only because I love your sheets and towels and no store close by sells them." He really did love her bamboo sheets. They were so soft and almost silky feeling.
"Good to know baby! I promise we will have both at the lake house. I love them too. Are you ready to head out?" Kim asked as she stood in front of him. "Yeah we can look at this stuff later. Let's go celebrate with our friends." Adam led them out of the house excited for a night out. "Yeah the place looks great. I have wanted to go for awhile now." She bumped her shoulder into his as they walked towards the elevator. "I really wanted somewhere fun where we could all just relax and let loose a little. It's a Monday so clubbing seemed like a bad idea." He laughed thinking about it. "Yeah that would have been a bad idea. Another time for sure." Kim checked her mail while heading to the car. It was nothing important thankfully so they continued to the car happily.
They arrived at the restaurant before the rest of the team. "Ms Burgess! Welcome!" The hostess was nice enough. "Thank you. We have a reservation under Ruzek." Kim stated happily as she held on to Adam's hand. "Oh yes Ruzek. Alright follow me." She held the couple to the table reserved for them. "Ms Burgess next time let us know it's for you so we can put you in a more private area." The hostess stated. "Thank you but we are perfectly fine right here. I don't want or require special treatment. I'm just like everyone else." Kim was polite but stern with her words. She hated people treating her different. The hostess just nodded and left the couple be. Adam just smiled at her knowing that women was annoying Kim to no end.
"I hate that shit! Like in New York it's great but I don't need or want it here. It's frustrating." Kim shook her head before standing seeing the team walking towards them. "Hello!" Kim gave each person a hug before they sat at the large table. She liked that it was a round table. Easier to talk to everyone. They ordered drinks and appetizers right away. It had been a long day and they were all hungry. After the drinks arrived Kim wanted to make a small toast. "I just wanted to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all you did to save Adam and myself. We now don't have to worry about those people coming after us again. We can now move forward with our jobs and building this incredible life together. So thank you!" Kim raised her glass clinking it with everyone else's before taking a drink.
"This place is awesome. I'm really enjoying it!" Erin was watching the dancers across the room. "You should go dance with them Er." Jay suggested laughing when she punched him. "It's a good idea. I think you should do it!" Kim encouraged. She thought everyone should try dancing so it wasn't a surprise. "Oh I'm sure Adam with go you." Antonio laughed. "Oh and Kevin!" Jay cracked up laughing. "I think you should all try it!" Kim laughed. Adam got up and gave Erin a hand in getting up before walking her over to try. Kim laughed the whole time recording it. Especially when Kevin joined them. They all cracked up, sides hurting, jaw hurting, eyes crying from laughing so hard. But it was perfect.
Dinner arrived shortly after and the team made idle conversation as they ate. "We should all hang out more often." Kevin said as they finished up eating. "Yes that would be great. Maybe a group activity next time?" Adam suggested. "Ax throwing, bowling, clubbing, movie night. Everyone make a suggestion and we can draw to pick one." Jay suggested. He actually wanted to do ax throwing but was up for most anything. "I will try anything once so I'm down." Kim was eager to be included. "I love this idea! It's going to be fun!" Dawson was excited to see where this would lead. "Should we order dessert?" Kim asked. "Yes please!" Erin loves her sweets. "I love dessert too Erin." Kim smiled thinking of the sweet treats to come.
They continued to chat through dessert before Kim paid and they left for the night. It had been fun and they couldn't wait to hang out again. They all said good night before walking towards their cars when Erin piped up. "Hey Adam. Look over there." She pointed to a shop that she knew they would like. "Thanks Er! Looks like we are going shopping. Good night y'all!" Adam laughed leading Kim towards the store that just so happened to be a sex shop. The guys all groaned not needing any reminders of their home life. They entered the shop hand in hand. They browsed around the shop looking for something new to spice it up. Not that they had any issues with that but they liked to keep it fresh.
"Well we talked about a leather paddle so let's get one. And see if we find anything else we like. I'm sure there are some outfits we would like." He suggested picking up a few things to show her. "Maybe a leather outfit? Could be fun for when we play." Her eyebrows wiggled letting him know exactly what she meant. "Leather works for me, especially black. It's hot!" He moved towards an area that had a lot of leather. They found a couple of pieces before they paid and headed home. They had another exciting night in their bedroom before falling asleep wrapped in each other's arms.
