Hello. As you may know, I am a fan Bluey. And this is a plot that I had in mind and felt the need to get it out from my mind. My goal is to capture this hypothetical scenario. I won't give too many details so that it can be enjoyable you readers.
As always, I accept any insults or constructive criticism you may want to leave. English is not my native language, and I know I will make mistakes writing this. I apologize for any literary inconvenience. I will try my best to provide a translation you all deserve. No ( he/she/him/her/it) on places where they don't belong. XD
This will be my first "fanfic" ( Which is not One Shot or started as a One Shot ).
I always respond to any questions in PM's (no matter if it's on the Wed site or the app). I love the interaction between writer and reader. Or on my Tumbler account, created just in case I feel like learning to draw on day. ( That won't happen )
Enough of wording. I hope you all enjoy.

He struggled to hold on to fragments of his life, but every day is a battle against an invisible enemy that robs him of his being. Anxiety and frustration mix with deep sadness, creating constant torment. His loved ones, helpless, watch him fade away, their hearts broken as they see him lost in his own mind.
He is present, but the essence of who he is slowly fades away. The memories that once defined his life are lost in a sea of forgetfulness, leaving only scattered fragments of who he once was. In his daily struggle, he reminds us of the fragility of memory and the importance of cherishing each moment before it becomes a distant whisper on the wind of time.
Bingo Heeler-
As the sun began to set, painting the sky with violet and golden hues, the Heeler family home was tidy and clean. Chilli had been busy cleaning along with the girls. With the broom in her hands, she made sure that Bluey and Bingo cleaned the house well, just to ensure that they did clean up.
"Come on, girls! One last effort, and we'll have the house sparkling before Dad gets here," Chilli encouraged, sweeping the last bits of dust into the dustpan.
Bluey, with a duster in hand, hopped from one piece of furniture to another, spreading more dust than she cleaned. "I'm the Dust Fairy! Get lost, dirt!"
As for Bingo, she'd wrapped some old socks around her hands and was skating across the hardwood floor, scrubbing enthusiastically. "Look, Mom, I'm polishing the floor like a pro skater!"
Chilli couldn't help but laugh at her daughters' enthusiasm. She never thought telling them that the first one to finish would get a double helping of ice cream would motivate her daughters so much to treat grooming as a game. "All right, my little helpers. But remember, the goal is to clean up, not create more mess."
Suddenly, Bluey had a brilliant idea. "Oh! How about we have a cleaning competition?"
Bingo's eyes lit up. "Yes! Can we, Mom, can we?"
Chilli considered the proposal for a moment. While she feared this might result in more chaos, she also knew it was a way to keep the girls motivated. "Okay, but with some rules. No running around with sharp or fragile objects, and the area must be cleaner at the end, not messier. Got it?"
"Understood!" replied the girls in unison.
"Okay, then. On your marks... get set... Let's clean up!" announced Chilli.
Bluey and Bingo shot off in different directions. Bluey headed for the living room, determined to dust every surface she could find. Bingo, meanwhile, focused on the kitchen, determined to leave the floor so shiny that they could see themselves reflected in it.
Chilli watched, torn between amusement and concern, as her daughters busied themselves with their task. "Remember, girls, quality over quantity! And don't forget to flip-flop if you ever mess it up!"
Bluey, in her excitement, nearly knocked over a lamp. "Whoops! Sorry, Mom, but look how clean this shelf is!"
Meanwhile, Bingo had discovered that she could slide faster if she sprinkled a little water on the floor. "Look at me, Mom, I'm a cleaning rocket!"
"Bingo, look out!" warned Chilli, but it was too late. Bingo slid straight into a pile of cushions, sending them flying across the room.
"Oh, no!" exclaimed Bingo, looking at the mess she had made.
Bluey, seeing the opportunity, shouted, "I'll get them!" and started jumping up and down, catching the cushions in mid-air like butterflies.
Chilli couldn't contain her laughter at the scene. "Well, I guess that's one way to sort the cushions. And you were saved from the flip-flop, too."
Bingo sighed dramatically as he continued with the grooming. After a few minutes of controlled chaos, the girls finally managed to put everything back in its place. Bluey had managed to dust almost all of the furniture, although some of it had more dust on it than before. Bingo, meanwhile, had left the kitchen floor shiny, if a little wet.
"Very good, girls," Chilli said, inspecting their work. "You've done a great job. Now, how about we work together for the finishing touches?"
"No!" they both exclaimed, wanting to go play or do something that didn't involve grooming.
Chilli quickly pulled out her phone and showed a picture of ice cream to her daughters. "I don't think you girls want this triple scoop of chocolate chip ice cream anymore."
The girls began drooling, saliva in abundance, as they imagined the ice cream pictured in the image. "Hugh, that's extortion," Bluey said as she shook some more dust off a lamp.
Chilli smiled with that mixture of tenderness and firmness that only a mother can master. "Extortion, Bluey, is what you girls try to do when you refuse to keep working. Now, how about we finish up nicely and then enjoy ice cream together?"
Bingo, her little eyes round and bright, tried another tactic. "What if we finish a little less and the ice cream is just a little bit smaller?"
Chilli folded her arms, still smiling but not budging. "I don't think it works that way, honey. The deal is we work together to leave the house perfect and then we celebrate with ice cream. No shortcuts."
Bluey, always being the strategist, frowned in a thoughtful gesture. "What if we just dust the big stuff? No one notices the dust on the little things, do they?"
Chilli leaned toward Bluey, her tone soft but firm. "Dust is dust, big or small. What matters is that we do a good job. Besides, that'll make the ice cream taste better, knowing we earned it with our effort."
Bingo sighed dramatically, dropping the sponge into the bucket with a watery sound. "It's okay, Mummy... But the ice cream will have chocolate chips in it, right?"
Chilli laughed softly, stroking Bingo's hair. "Of course it will, sweetie. But first, let's finish the job - let's go, team!"
For the next half hour, the Heeler family worked in harmony. Chilli taught Bluey how to properly use the duster so she wouldn't spread the dust, while Bingo learned how to wring out the mop well so she wouldn't leave puddles.
"Remember, girls," Chilli said as they worked, "cleaning isn't just about making everything sparkle. It's about taking care of our home and creating a nice space for the whole family."
"Mom, let's not have you teaching us a lesson like Dad does!" Bingo demanded.
Chilli put away her cell phone and looked at Bingo, thinking about how she would respond. "Thank God you have Mom and Dad. There are kids who don't have either," Chilli replied, thinking of a scene from a Colombian novel.
"Mom, again you try to do it," said Bluey, approaching her mother.
"If you don't finish, there's no ice cream!" Chilli exclaimed, hoping to distract the girls with grooming. To her fortune, it worked.
As they finished cleaning, they heard the sound of a car parking in front of the house.
"Dad's home!" shouted Bingo excitedly.
"Quick!" exclaimed Bluey. "We have to finish before he gets in; otherwise, there's no ice cream!"
In a flurry of activity, the three hurried to put on the finishing touches. Chilli quickly vacuumed the entryway carpet, Bluey arranged the last of the books on the bookshelf, and Bingo gave the hallway mirror a final once-over.
Just as they heard the keys in the door, Chilli and the girls hurried to the entrance, brooms, mops, and dusters still in their hands, their coats slightly tousled from the effort.
The door opened, and Bandit stepped inside, stopping short at the sight of his family, all with expectant smiles and cleaning tools in hand.
"Wow," Bandit said, looking around in amazement. "Am I gone for a day or a week? This place is spotless!"
Chilli came over to give him a welcoming kiss. "The girls and I decided to surprise you. They've been working so hard all afternoon."
Bluey and Bingo ran over to hug their father. "'Dad! Do you like the way the house looks?" asked Bluey excitedly.
"Did we surprise you?" added Bingo, jumping up and down.
Bandit bent down to hug his daughters. "You've totally blown me away. The house looks fantastic! Good job, cleaning crew!"
"I was the Dust Fairy!" declared Bluey proudly.
"And I the Cleaning Rocket," added Bingo.
Bandit raised an eyebrow, looking at Chilli with a mixture of amusement and confusion.
Chilli shrugged with a smile. "Long story. I'll tell you during dinner."
Hours passed, and after a few hours, it was time for bed. Bandit, Bluey, and Bingo were on their way to the girls' rooms. The problem for Bandit was that the girls didn't want to go to sleep. He knew that singing them a bedtime song wasn't going to work this time. They were so restless that even the magic xylophones wouldn't keep them still. "Sometimes I wish they would grow up faster," Bandit thought as he climbed the stairs.
"Dad, look, I found a shiny stone!" exclaimed Bluey, holding up a piece of time-polished glass.
"That's the moonlight gem, Bluey! It's very powerful," Bandit replied, eagerly playing along.
Bingo, not wanting to be left behind, was running towards them with a handful of leaves. "And I've found the invisibility leaves! Even though they are green now." Laughter and excitement filled the air as he continued on his way to bed. Bandit loved these moments; even though they were hard, he wouldn't trade them for anything in the world. He treasured every second he played with his daughters.
In the heart of a house full of color and joy, Bandit was in the middle of one of his famous "adventures," although they were actually the games his daughters made up. It was the kind of play that only a loving and devoted father like him could bring to life. With Bluey and Bingo on either side, his garden was transformed into a magical playground.
"And what are the invisibility leaves for?" Bluey asked, pointing at his sister.
"To make you invisible, duh," the 5-year-old pup replied.
Bandit, with a big grin on his face, crouched down and adopted the stance of a dragon, stretching out his arms and making his daughters giggle with growls and roars. "Start running, or else I'm going to eat you!" Bandit, completely immersed in his role, began moving towards them, causing his daughters to giggle and hide in their rooms.
Bluey and Bingo's laughter echoed throughout the house as they ran, dodging their dragon father's "attacks." Bandit chased them with heavy, exaggerated steps, roaring and blowing imaginary "fire." The girls used their "magical powers" to defend themselves.
"Quick, Bingo! Use the invisibility blades!" shouted Bluey with laughter.
Bingo, playing along, covered himself with the sheets and exclaimed, "You can't see me anymore, Daddy Dragon!"
Bandit, feigning confusion, looked around. "Where's Bingo? She's disappeared!" His act made the girls laugh even louder.
Meanwhile, Bluey held up his "moonlight gem" and declared, "Behold the power of light, evil dragon!"
Bandit pretended to be blinded by the imaginary glow, covering his eyes and stumbling comically. "Oh no, the light, my only weakness!"
The girls took advantage of their father's "weakness" to escape to their rooms, giggling and screaming with excitement. Bandit followed them, keeping the game alive until the last moment.
Chilli watched from the kitchen, a soft light illuminating the room as she went about preparing dinner for her beloved husband. Her thoughts were lost in gratitude for having Bandit by her side, a man who radiated affection and complicity with his daughters. As the smell of browned bacon filled the kitchen, she fondly recalled the times of laughter and family games they shared. "I really am lucky to have such a man in my life," Chilli reflected with a mixture of love and admiration. Gently, she turned off the stove, feeling the warmth of the food in her.
Already upstairs, Bandit had finally made it to the second floor, which was quite a challenge—all for not using a condom in time. A mistake he would never make again.
Once in their rooms, the girls jumped into their beds, still giggling and panting from the excitement of the game. Bandit, returning to his fatherly role, began to tuck them in.
"Well, my brave warriors, I think you have defeated the fearsome dragon for today," he said with a loving smile.
Bluey, still energized, asked, "Can we play more tomorrow, Dad?"
Bandit nodded. "Of course, sweetie. But now it's time to rest. Tomorrow, new things are waiting for us."
A warm evening breeze burst into the girls' rooms, turned the nearly finished page of the coloring book, and played with the leaves of the artificial flower.
"Bandit, the school called to say that classes are suspended for a few days for termite fumigation," Chilli warned as she hung up the phone. "No, the food! Don't burn up!"
When Bandit heard that, his eyes began to narrow and widen rapidly. Bluey and Bingo looked at each other with glee. "We can go to sleep late!"
The room was already empty because Bingo and Bluey weren't going to bed early today. Bandit's superhuman effort to get them to their rooms had been in vain. "That's why we never had children again."
At that point, he headed for the kitchen. It was until...
"I'm going to check to see if the girls have gone to bed yet," Bandit thought as he headed for the girls' rooms. To his surprise, they weren't there. "Girls! Where are you?" Bandit asked, raising his voice.
"Here we are in the living room," Bingo replied as he settled into the armchair.
Bandit sighed with relief. "How did these girls get downstairs?" the blue Heeler wondered. He started down the stairs and headed for the living room.
When he got to the living room, he found Bingo and Bluey sitting on the couch, surrounded by toys and books strewn everywhere. The room was in complete disarray, and Bandit couldn't believe that his daughters had managed to wreak so much havoc in such a short amount of time.
"What happened here?" asked Bandit, trying to remain calm. "How did you two get here?"
Bingo and Bluey looked at each other, then looked at their father with innocent eyes. "We didn't do anything, Dad," said Bingo. Bluey looked at him, too. "Remember, we don't have school tomorrow."
"And how do you know that?" Bandit asked in a genuine manner.
"I warned you just a few seconds ago," Chilli replied.
Bandit blinked, confused. "A few seconds ago? But... I had just asked for them to be in their rooms..."
Chilli approached Bandit, her expression softening as she saw the confusion on his face. "Yes, Bandit. I told you right after I got the call. Are you okay?"
Bandit nodded slowly, though deep down he wasn't so sure. "Yeah, just... must be exhaustion."
"Dad's going deaf," Bluey joked as Bingo let out a small laugh.
Chilli glared at them. "Bluey, don't make those kinds of jokes! Don't you know that the tongue has a lot of power to summon unwanted things?"
"I, I'm sorry," replied the girl, stuttering slightly.
Chilli watched him for a moment longer before smiling warmly at him. "It's okay, love. Let's relax a little tonight."
At that instant, Chilli went for the food she had prepared for her husband and turned on the beauty channel on the television. Bandit sat down on the couch and turned up the volume on the TV. This time, though, instead of beautiful girls walking down a catwalk, there was a row of muscular, tanned men. Apparently, a male version of a beauty contest was playing at the time.
"My dear, what were you watching?" Bandit exclaimed, surprised at what he had seen.
"I just changed the channel. If you want, grab the remote and put on your cricket match," Chilli replied as she arrived with a plate that had freshly baked toast on it, along with bacon and some scrambled eggs.
At that moment, when he was about to change the channel, for some reason, he had forgotten where the remote was. "Girls, do you know where the remote is?"
The girls giggled as they watched their dad struggle to find the remote that was in his hands. Bandit blinked in confusion, watching his daughters giggle. "What are you laughing at?" he asked, still not realizing he had the remote in his hand.
Chilli, who had just set down the tray with the food, couldn't help but smile at the scene. "Honey," she said softly, "the remote is in your hand."
Bandit looked down at his right hand, and sure enough, there was the remote control. He let out a nervous laugh. "Wow, looks like I'm more tired than I thought."
"Dad's losing his mind!" exclaimed Bluey with a chuckle.
"Bluey!" chided Chilli, though she couldn't help but smile. "Don't make fun of your father."
Bingo, always the empathetic girl, walked over to Bandit and gave him a hug. "Don't worry, Dad. Sometimes I forget where I put my things too."
Bandit hugged his youngest daughter back, grateful for her sweetness. "Thanks, sweetie. I guess we all have days like that."
Chilli sat down next to her husband, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Are you sure you're okay, sweetheart? You've been a little distracted lately."
Bandit nodded, finally changing the channel to the cricket match. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little tired with all the work and... well, you know," he said, glancing sideways at the girls who were now focused on the program.
Chilli took the hint. She knew Bandit sometimes felt overwhelmed by the girls' boundless energy, especially on days like today when they didn't have school.
"How about if I take care of the girls in the morning tomorrow?" suggested Chilli. "You can get some more sleep."
Bandit looked at her gratefully. "That would be great, thank you." She didn't know what she had thanked her for, though.
Unnoticed, Bandit pressed the remote to switch back to the male beauty pageant programming. It didn't take long for the girls to notice and become interested in the program.
"'Dad, I don't think you're that handsome,'" Bingo said, eliciting an exclamation from his father.
"What! Why? I'm one of the best-looking archaeologists in Australia!"
Bluey let out a chuckle. "That's right, Dad, I think you're losing in the handsome department," joked the blue heeler.
"I think I'm handsome enough, baby daughter," replied Bandit, looking to his wife for help.
Chilli pretended to think about her answer, which elicited another uproarious exclamation from Bandit. "You really thought about the answer!" exclaimed Bandit as his daughters giggled.
"And how can I appreciate your beauty if I haven't even seen it?" Chilli asked sarcastically as she let out a giggle along with her daughters.
Bandit tried to defend himself, giving his voice the most offended tone, but no one seemed to believe him.
Bingo and Bluey looked at each other and slapped zero stickers on their father.
"Dad's right," Chilli said. "I think that's enough TV for you guys today."
Bluey fell to his knees and raised his hands to the sky dramatically. "Mom, you can't deprive us of the joy of television; it's not pedagogical!" exclaimed Bluey, not knowing what the heck that word she saw in her father's cartoon of yellow people meant, to which Chilli burst out laughing. "Well, so you've changed your mind about your father's beauty?"
"Yes, Dad has French elegance," replied the blue Heeler.
While the Heeler family continued to joke about Bandit's appearance, the male beauty contest continued to play out on television. Bandit, pretending to be offended, decided to play along.
"All right, family, since everyone thinks I'm not handsome enough, let's see how it's really done," he said, pointing to the screen with a dramatic gesture.
Chilli rolled her eyes but couldn't help but smile. "Okay, let's see some more. But only because I think it will be fun to see your envious reaction from those men."
The contestants paraded down the catwalk, showing off their toned bodies and bright smiles. Bluey and Bingo watched with a mixture of fascination and confusion. Bandit didn't want his princesses to be exposed to such a visual show, yet he didn't want to upset his wife.
"Dad," Bingo asked, "why are all those men glowing so bright?"
Bandit scratched his head. "Well, honey, I think it's oil or something. To make their muscles look more... muscular?"
Chilli let out a giggle. "It's called bronzer, love. They use it to make their skin look more golden under the lights."
"Oh," Bluey said, "like when Daddy falls asleep on the beach and turns his skin all red?"
Everyone burst out laughing, even Bandit. "Very funny, young lady," he said, ruffling Bluey's fur.
As the contest progressed, the family began to pick their favorites. Surprisingly, Bandit found himself quite involved in the show.
"Oh, come on!" he exclaimed when one of the contestants stumbled slightly during the swimsuit parade. "That dude's got two left feet—he can't win!"
Chilli looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "My, my, looks like someone is taking this very seriously."
Bandit blushed slightly. "Well, if we're going to watch this, we should at least support the best, shouldn't we?"
Finally, it was time to announce the winner. The tension in the Heeler room was palpable, with everyone rooting for a different contestant.
"And the winner of the Australian Men's Beauty Contest is... Jake Thompson!"
Bingo jumped for joy. "Yes! My favorite won!"
Bandit feigned disappointment. "Ah, I can't believe it. Mine came in second place."
Chilli nudged him playfully. "See, you're not such a good judge of male beauty after all."
When the show was over, Bluey had a brilliant idea. "Hey! How about we have a family sleepover?"
Bingo's eyes lit up. "Yeah! We can all sleep in the living room!"
Bandit and Chilli exchanged glances. They were both tired, but the excitement in their daughters' eyes was hard to resist.
"Girls, have you brushed your teeth?" Chilli asked to deflect the topic.
Bluey grimaced. "Why brush our teeth if we haven't gone to bed yet?" she grumbled, but still reluctantly walked toward the bathroom.
Chilli sighed, recognizing her daughters' usual bedtime resistance. "Come on, girls. Brushing your teeth is important, even if we haven't gone to bed yet. Besides, if you do it now, we can have more time for a bedtime story."
Bluey and Bingo's eyes lit up at the mention of a story. "A real story?" asked Bingo eagerly.
"Yes, a real story," confirmed Bandit, joining the conversation. "But only if you brush your teeth right now."
The girls exchanged glances and then scampered off toward the bathroom, their little paws echoing on the hardwood floor.
Chilli turned to Bandit with a tired smile. "Good move, sweetie. We'll have to make good on that story now, though."
Bandit shrugged. "Well, we can always improvise something. Besides, I could use some quality time with the girls after this strange day."
Chilli nodded, remembering Bandit's moments of confusion throughout the afternoon. "Are you sure you're feeling okay? You've been a little distracted today."
"I'm fine, really," Bandit insisted, though a shadow of doubt crossed his face. "It's probably just tiredness. You know how the girls are when they don't have school."
Before Chilli could respond, Bluey and Bingo returned from the bathroom, their bright smiles showing off their freshly brushed teeth.
"Ready!" exclaimed Bluey. "Can we have our sleepover now?"
Bandit and Chilli exchanged glances. The idea of a family sleepover sounded delightful but also exhausting after a long day.
"How about we make a little fort in the living room?" suggested Chilli, looking for a compromise. "We can bring some blankets and pillows and have our story there."
The girls jumped for joy at the idea. "Yes! A fort!" shouted Bingo.
"I'll get the pillows!" volunteered Bluey, running toward the rooms.
"And I'll get the blankets!" added Bingo, following her sister.
Bandit got up from the couch, stretching. "I guess it's my turn to move the furniture."
Chilli gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. "I'll help you. Between the two of us, it'll be faster."
As the girls ran back and forth, bringing pillows, blankets, and even some of their favorite stuffed animals, Bandit and Chilli worked together to create a cozy space in the living room. They moved the coffee table to one side and used the couch as a base for the fort.
"Remember when we used to do this as kids?" asked Chilli as she spread a blanket over the back of the couch. "What kids miss out on now by being on that fucking cell phone all day."
Bandit smiled, holding up the other end of the blanket. "How could I forget? Although back then, the whole point was to keep us up all night watching horror movies."
Chilli let out a chuckle. "Oh, yeah. And then we'd go days without being able to get a good night's sleep."
"Mom! Dad! We've got everything!" announced Bluey, returning with a pile of pillows so high she could barely see over them.
Bingo followed close behind, dragging a huge blanket that stretched behind her like a tail.
"Excellent work, team!" congratulated Bandit. "Now, who wants to help Dad build the best fort in the world?"
The next two hours were filled with laughter, creativity, and a little chaos as the Heeler family worked together to create their fort. They used chairs to hold up blankets, creating a makeshift roof. Bluey insisted on hanging some fairy lights she had in her room, giving the inside of the fort a magical glow.
"We need a secret entrance!" declared Bingo, holding up a smaller blanket.
"Good idea, honey," said Chilli, helping her hang the blanket as a curtain on one side of the fort.
Meanwhile, Bandit and Bluey worked on making the interior as comfortable as possible, piling pillows and soft blankets to create a cozy nest.
"Dad," Bluey said as he arranged a cushion, "do you think archaeologists make forts, too?"
Bandit scratched his chin, pretending to think deeply. "Well, I guess in a way they do. When archaeologists do excavations, sometimes they have to build temporary structures to protect the sites they're studying. It's like a giant fort to protect history."
Bluey's eyes lit up. "Wow, so we're like archaeologists now?"
"Of course," Bandit nodded earnestly. "We're protecting the important find of... the reason to use protection!"
Bluey let out a giggle and hugged his father. "You're the best archaeologist dad in the world. And don't worry, the fort protects us all."
Finally, after much work and tweaking, the fort was complete. It was an impressive structure that took up much of the room, with colorful blankets creating a wavy ceiling and the fairy lights lending a magical ambiance to the interior.
"Tada!" exclaimed Bingo, bowing in front of his creation.
"It's perfect," said Chilli, admiring her family's teamwork.
"Now," announced Bandit in a solemn voice, "I declare this fort officially... open!" He gestured dramatically, pushing aside the "secret entrance" so everyone could enter.
The girls screamed with excitement and rushed inside, followed by their parents. Inside, the space was surprisingly cozy. Pillows and blankets created a soft, warm nest, and fairy lights lent an enchanting atmosphere.
"It's like being inside a magic cloud," Bingo whispered, his eyes sparkling with wonder.
"Or in the secret lair of a friendly dragon," Bluey added.
Chilli settled into a corner, leaning back against the couch. "Well, girls, I think it's time for that story we promised you."
"Yes!" exclaimed Bluey and Bingo in unison, quickly settling in next to their mother.
"Holy shit. Those girls have more energy than me and Chilli at this hour." Bandit sat down on the other side, creating a cozy family circle inside the fort. He obviously wasn't going to swear in front of the girls. "What kind of story do you guys want to hear tonight?"
Bluey and Bingo looked at each other, as if having a silent conversation. Finally, Bluey spoke up, "We want an adventure story, but also with some mystery."
"And with a happy ending," Bingo added. "Not like the ones you read on Fanfiction".
Bandit and Chilli exchanged glances, both thinking about how to meet their daughters' expectations.
Bandit settled into his seat, clearing his throat theatrically. "All right, girls, get ready for a story full of adventure, mystery, and, of course, a happy ending. This is the story of how Mom and I met and fell in love."
Bluey and Bingo clapped excitedly, their eyes sparkling with anticipation.
"It all started on a sunny morning," Bandit began, his voice taking on a mysterious tone. "I was a brave explorer in search of a legendary treasure: the Golden Bone of Eternal Bliss."
Chilli let out a chuckle but allowed Bandit to continue with his childish version of events.
"I was walking through a park, following a very old map, when suddenly..." Bandit paused dramatically, "I tripped over a root and fell face-first into a mud puddle!"
The girls burst out laughing, imagining their father covered in mud.
"And just then," Bandit continued, "a beautiful warrior princess appeared. It was your mother, of course."
Chilli interrupted softly. Although it hurt her ears every time Bandit used Castilian Spanish, she knew that because it was melodramatic, she had to accept it. "Honey, I think you're forgetting one little detail—don't you remember what I was doing?"
"Oh, right!" exclaimed Bandit, snapping his fingers. "The warrior princess was walking her faithful companion, a giant, nasty rat named...uh..."
"Puffin," Chilli whispered, grinning.
"Muffin!" repeated Bandit. "A rat that was actually a powerful sorceress in disguise. Yes, that's right."
Bluey and Bingo looked at each other, fascinated by how the story was taking shape. Before their eyes, it was so realistic.
"As I was saying," Bandit continued, "there I was, covered in mud, when this beautiful warrior princess came up with her magic rat. She looked at me and..."
"I offered her a handkerchief," Chilli interjected. "Remember, honey, I always carry handkerchiefs with me."
"Of course, the magic handkerchief!" exclaimed Bandit, quickly incorporating the detail. "The princess pulled a handkerchief out of her pocket, but it wasn't an ordinary handkerchief. Oh, no. It was a magic handkerchief that could wipe off any dirt in an instant."
The girls looked at their parents with wide eyes. "And no magic broom?" Bluey asked.
"Only the one Muffin uses to fly," Bingo replied, drawing a few guffaws along with his sister.
"Thanks to that magic handkerchief," Bandit continued, "I was clean in no time at all. That's when I could clearly see the princess's face and... I instantly fell in love!"
Chilli blushed slightly, but her smile showed that she was enjoying the storytelling as much as her daughters.
"But our love story couldn't be that simple," Bandit said, again adopting a mysterious tone. "Because it turns out that the warrior princess was also on a mission. She was looking for..."
Bandit paused, looking to Chilli for help.
"The Necklace of Infinite Wisdom," Chilli suggested, playing along.
"Exactly!" exclaimed Bandit. "The Necklace of Infinite Wisdom. And it turns out, according to our maps, both the Golden Bone and the Necklace were hidden in the same place: the Cave of Challenges." He hoped that the cartoons and anime he had seen in his childhood would help him create a story. 'Fuck, how do fanfic writers do it?
"Ooh!" exclaimed Bluey and Bingo in unison, not paying much attention to the bad plot of the story. At least Bandit could create the story without the fear or shame of rejecting his children.
"So we decided to join forces," Bandit continued. "The warrior princess, the rat, and I, the brave explorer, embarked on an epic adventure."
"Stop calling Muffin a rat," Chilli said, a little annoyed by the comparison. Rats weren't as annoying as Muffin was.
"It's okay, Chilli, though I never said any names," Bandit replied, then continued telling the story.
"So we decided to join forces: the warrior princess, the magic rat, and me, the brave explorer."
Bluey and Bingo laughed, imagining a flying rat. Maybe one of these days he would throw Muffin off the roof.
The story continued with Bandit exaggerating everything that was going on with his character. At least the girls looked distracted.
"And so," said Chilli, "our great adventure ended, but it was just the beginning of our life together."
"And they lived happily ever after," Bluey added with a smile.
"And they had two beautiful daughters," Bandit concluded, hugging Bluey and Bingo.
The girls yawned, sleep finally catching up with them after the exciting story.
"I think it's time for bed," Chilli whispered, tucking the girls in with the fort blankets.
Bluey and Bingo clapped excitedly as the story came to an end.
"That was the best story they ever told us!" exclaimed Bluey.
"I really liked Star," said Bingo with a yawn. "She's sweet like me."
Bandit smiled, stroking Bingo's fur. "And you're just as observant as she is, honey."
Chilli noticed the girls' eyes beginning to close. "I think it's time for our own night sky explorers to go to sleep."
"But Mom," Bluey protested faintly, "aren't we tired..."
"Of course not," Bandit said with a smile as he settled a blanket over Bluey. "They're just resting their eyes, aren't you?"
Bingo had already snuggled up next to her sister, cuddling her favorite stuffed animal. "Good night, Moon and Star," she murmured before closing her eyes.
Chilli and Bandit watched their daughters for a moment, their hearts full of love for these little girls who filled their lives with joy and adventure.
"Should we take them to their beds?" whispered Chilli.
Bandit shook his head. "Nah, let's leave them here tonight. After all, we built this fort for a reason."
Chilli nodded, settling in next to the girls. Bandit did the same on the other side, creating a warm family nest inside the fort.
"Good night, my girl scouts," Bandit whispered, gently kissing Bluey and Bingo's foreheads.
"Good night, my stars," added Chilli, stroking their cheeks.
And so, under the roof of blankets and fairy lights, the Heeler girls fell asleep, dreaming of adventures in the night sky and the glow of the stars. The fort they had built together became their own little universe for that night.
Chilli headed for her room, an air of suspicion on her face. Bandit followed her, noticing that something wasn't right.
"What's wrong, Chilli?" asked Bandit, trying to sound innocent.
Chilli stopped at the door to her room and turned to him. "When you came upstairs to drop the girls off, you promised that you hadn't listened to me," she said, her tone accusatory.
Bandit shrugged. "I don't know what you're talking about, Chilli. I didn't say anything."
Chilli crossed her arms over her chest. "But the girls said you made a face," she insisted.
Bandit laughed. "Oh, that. Well, I may have made a face, but it wasn't anything serious. I was just a little tired, that's all."
Chilli looked at him skeptically, but Bandit could see the laughter in her eyes. "You're lying, Bandit," she said, with a smile.
Bandit walked over to her and hugged her. "I love you, Chilli," he said, kissing her softly on the cheek.
Chilli relaxed in his arms and kissed him back. "Me too, Bandit."
Together, they slid into bed, surrounded by the quiet of the night. Bandit settled under the covers, feeling the weight of the day melt away. Chilli snuggled up next to him, and soon they both drifted into a deep sleep, surrounded by the love and peace of their home.
That night passed peacefully, but Bandit couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't quite right. He decided not to mention it anymore, not wanting to worry Chilli or the girls.
I feel it was a nice start.
I know some of you are wondering, is this all? When I saw that the chapter was longer than I wanted it to be, I decided to break it up. After all, trying to teach what people with Alzheimer's go through is not easy. Those who have suffered from it know that it is a slow and painful disease.
I especially want to thank Davosito23 for the inspiration you gave me for this fic. I hope to fill your expectations and that you enjoy every word as much as I enjoyed writing it. I also want to thank ElRafaelhistoriasdecentes for being a source of inspiration for me. Writing long chapters is his specialty; I'm just a humble imitator trying to follow in his footsteps.
Thank you all for joining me on this journey. See you in the next chapter, where we will continue to explore the deeper depths of this story and the challenges that the Heeler family will face.
