To start off, the story is in an amalgam of Gundam Wing and Seed with the calendar called A.C.E. instead and obvious amalgamation of AC and CE. There's several sections of the overall universe. The main story takes place in Wing, a prequel Episode 0 story and the "sequel" story in Seed/Destiny. I merged characters from both series and roles to expand their purpose and involvement. Big examples are Wing characters like Trowa is the father of Lunamaria and Meyrin and Quatre is the father of Nicol. Both of them became members of the PLANT government in their later years. Whereas Yzak is a student of Wufei and Dearka is a part of a church where Duo Maxwell is sorta priest of.

The origins of Kira and Cagalli are a bit more complicated from what I wrote in my original story.

I had created an original character back in high school that I retcon later when Seed came out as a sorta "super Coordinator" with advanced mental powers, mostly telekinetic and some form of telepathy. He's undergone multiple name changes, originally a mary sue self insert before I redesigned him completely during college with a new name. Leonidas Castus de Fanel. Or Leon as he's called

And I had also smashed the anime Escaflowne into my ever expanding universe. I was pretty ambitious as a young man. I even wrote a fanfic about that as well and somehow it ties together.

The story starts off proper in 195 A.C.E.

Humanity is divided by 3 major sections. Earth itself, the rich and technologically advanced PLANT colonies inhabited by the Coordinators and other non-aligned colonies under Earth control across the 5 lagrange points mostly occupied by naturals. For the Wing part of the story, PLANT has no official part in it other than radical elements supplying rebel factions in the other 5 colony groups.

Leon Fanel is a high ranking officer in the Earth Federation but he's secretly one of the leaders of the AEUG. A group of dissidents that are fed up with the Earth's tyrannical rule.

Quick backstory on him is he's one of the few survivors of the Federation wiping out nearly his entire family because they were too influential in controlling behind the scenes of Earth and the colonies. Rival factions with other outside groups like Logos wanted them gone as well as traitors from within want power for themselves. Leon's entire story is revenge and regaining the power his family lost. He's basically my version of Char in hindsight

This part of the story, he's technically "the hero" but eventually he became an anti-hero type, justifying taking over the Earth from behind the scenes and influenced from how he was genetically engineered.

Having escaped the near genocide of his people, he grew up on Earth under the wing of Treize Khushrenada, which also had him growing up with Relena Peacecraft. In this story, I didn't want a boring no real chemistry ship with Relena and Heero so I decided to develop a more meaningful romance between Relena and my OC which does go farther in the sequel Seed series.

I had written the Wing story with everyone slightly older than the original so instead of in their teens, they're mostly 18 at the start of the Wing arc of the story.

Because at the time, I lacked a lot of creativity, so the vast majority of the story is mostly unchanged from the original shows. I basically added my characters and other characters from different series as inserts to avoid creating a other originals to fill in spots. Mobile Suits in Leon's faction are directly lifted from post OYW UC like Jegans, and GM as well as other Gundam types. During the battle of Sankt Kingdom, Quatre used a Gouf Custom that was red.

The beginning of another century story

Operation Meteor happens mostly as planned though with some modifications.

Leon was standing on the bridge of the Albion, his flagship that was built in secret. They observed the multiple launches from the 5 colony lagrange points. Despite all the colonial traffic, these were specific unregistered launches. Within each, Gundams meant to sow chaos on Earth. Rebel attempts to spite the Earth government. At least that's the plan now. The original plan was to call for 5 of the largest colonies of each lagrange point to be dropped onto Earth, the resulting chaos and ecological disaster would result in the collapse of the Federation government on Earth and the migration of humans to space where the Barton Foundation have in place, their own total control of humanity.

Ironically, the original plan of Operation Meteor was agreed upon by Leon's father. Their plans to terraform Mars was already underway in secret but the destruction of his House by rival group such as earth purests like Blue Cosmos changed things.

It surprised Leon seeing individuals within the 5 rebel groups decided against Operation Meteor and began to conduct a full on guerrilla campaign on Earth. In the short term, 5 Gundams, mostly alone began to terrorize the Earth military all over the world. With no end goal in mind other than pure destruction as a violent means of protest against tyranny, the Earth government even thought about peace with the colonies before a false flag operation killed all the pro-peace members of the Earth government, leaving only the hardliners and utter chaos with the blood in the hands of the gundam pilots

The mysterious transfer student

Relena, in her last days of school meets Heero, who took the cover to avoid suspicions. A lone kid in a rich neighborhood wandering around would draw attention, but a student of the local high class academy would be overlooked.

Heero, posing as a student, recon the Federation bases near the school. The other reason he chose this school was because Relena saw his face when he landed on Earth. Not knowing who she really is at first, he threatened to kill her.

This shocked Relena but she was not a stranger to threats on her life and she could tell he was serious. This woke something up inside her.

Legacy

There's a plot involving Leon having a twin brother that he thought he killed in the Episode 0 story, named Dante who stole Leon's Gundam, Excalibur and in the ruins of their home colony, he discovered his father had previous hid the prototype of the Excalibur down here that also uses part "ancient" tech, like an unexplained power source. This was named Escaflowne, which links the story to this other anime with its own story that I did.

"If…you…are hearing this, my son" A voice broke the darkness as Leon ventured deeper.

"Father?" He recognized the voice from his childhood. It can't be. He's dead

As Leon entered a large room with a sealed vault door, the lights came on and a hologram appeared before him. The man looked like an older version of him almost save for a different hair color. His hair is from mother

"If you are hearing this, my son, that means I am dead and I have failed to protect our family. You may as well be the last one of this House. I know it's you, Leonidas because this projection wouldn't have come to life otherwise….I wish I had more time to teach you. To raise you into a good man. I hope you are strong enough to make choices that not only affect your life but the lives of countless under our banner. You must never forget who you are. We are the blood of kings and emperors. Our hands shape humanity. We hail from an ancient legacy. With that, I entrust you with the future and this, the sword of our family to carve a better future."

The Gundam Escaflowner had a bright white shine to it and black trims, the joints, a silver polish to them. Instead of the V shaped "horns" that Gundams are known for, this one has a singular horn going up from its forehead and a secondary one branching out from it towards the rear. Its eyes had a green color to it and the shoulder pads had a similar green crystal on each of them. In front of the Gundam was its primary weapons, a beam rifle and a large sword. It had wings furled on its back like a dragon's and you can see small missiles embedded inside them.

Leon walked past the ghost of his father, who disappeared as he stepped into the cockpit. There was some kind of glowing orb in the back of the cockpit seat. He felt a strange urge to touch it, and it activated before disappearing behind a panel. Sitting down, the computer turns on with a log in screen.

"User, identify."

Leon took a breath as he sat up.

"I am Leonidas Castus de Fanel, Duke of House Fanel."

"DNA recognized. Welcome, milord."

Escaflowne's eyes glowed as he grabbed his weapons, taking the sword and sheathed it in the back and grabbing the rifle.

Because the Gundam Escaflowne relies heavily on the Zero system and Leon is also genetically engineered with mental abilities, he was able to "see" possible futures and at one point, had to make a hard choice that will somewhat turn him into not the hero anymore. So he began secret experiments with Coordinators using his own DNA as a template. This began the Mu clones

Post Eve war, during the Endless Waltz story arc, Leon and his faction slowly takes over the Earth during the chaos, tricking the world into creating the Earth Alliance with more centralized power, but he couldn't stop the Earth human supremacy movements that have become sick of the spacenoids getting better treatment as reparations for what started the Eve war and even gotten worse with the growing hate against Coordinators, self proclaimed "evolved humans".

By this point of the story, Leon and Relena had married and had a son, Vaan, named after an ancestor.

2 years later A.C.E. 197

The events in Endless Waltz with Mariemeia still happen mostly the same up until the end where Leon declares himself the leader of the Earth Alliance formed to fight the Mariemeia army.

We still have the epic ending with Heero blowing his load all over Mariemeia's door.

Post Endless Waltz incident, the story starts to focus more on the Seed plot.

Leon becomes obsessed with his legacy of creating the new generation of Coordinators. He was trying to solve the Coordinators fertility problem at the same time as well as consulting the Zero system for possible futures. In the end, it almost drove him mad. At the same time, he works with Durandal and others on the next gen coordinator programs as well as help author the Destiny plan as one of many options. He calls this secret scientific group, the "Accords"

I never made it clear in the lore why but after Heero Yuy was severely injured in battle, Relena accepted an implantation of DNA from Heero with her to create children. Leon engineered 1 of those twins into the next generation of "ultimate coordinators" And in for my fic, this is how Kira and Cagalli were born. In the famous photo of Cagalli receiving from her adoptive father of her real mother holding twin babies, I added Vaan in that photo with all 3 of their names on the back. Relena Peacecraft being very famous in this universe would be immediately recognizable to Cagalli and Kira as to their true lineage.

I had never finished writing the story before the Seed story properly stated but somewhere along the way, Relena was reportedly assassinated and so was Leon. Possibly by Blue Cosmos or a rival House Fanel member. Hence this is why the children were separated almost Star Wars style.

In the story that I tried to write, Vann grew knowing about his siblings but for their protection, never interacted with them. He had his own short adventure where he rediscovered his father's Gundam Escaflowne hidden on a moon of Jupiter and reactivated it, complete with a talking AI as his partner. All the while hunted by a splinter faction of his House that wanted to remove him from the line of succession. Leading the hunting party is a mind controlled Heero Yuy in a new variant of Wing Zero and an older Mariemeia on her own variant of Epyon, who went down a different "definitely not discount Minerva Zabi" route in my story. Imagine the Zone of the Enders 2 plot because at the time I was a big fan of that series.

That story was supposed to end with Heero breaking his mind control and Mariemeia becoming Vaan's love interest for the rest of the story.

The cult of personality that Vaan's father, Leon, had created essentially made him royalty and the means to build his own empire in space with the ultimate goal of terraforming Mars. Vaan had his own epic battle with a former ally of his father over the jump gate on Mars.
