Hi, PurpleVixen404 here again with another fanfiction. This one is kinda outta pocket, but that's what I'm here for. To write fanfictions about charecters no one really writes about, thrust into bizzare scenerios.

But enough about about that, let's get on with the prologue of My Ring Academia: A Hero And A Ghost.

(Sorry bout my first post, I let my sister mess around with my computer and she accdently posted that first chapter. But this is the real thing, soooooo... enjoy!)

Disclaimer: I do not own My Hero Academia or The Ring franchise.

Without futher ado... lets get it.

PROLOGUE: A Tape?

"Haahh... finally home." sighed Izuku, as he and his mother exited their family car in front of their apartment. Izuku had just been released from the hospital following the Stain incident.

After watching the news and getting the call from the Pro Heroes that her son was hospitalized, Inko immediatly rushed over to make sure her baby was safe and sound. And after much balling and crying, Izuku managed to calm his mother down enough to get her to stop and the two could leave.

"Honestly Izuku, you should really be more careful about these types of things." said Inko worriedly, Izuku smiled bashfully while scartching his head, "Sorry Mom."

Inko heaved a sigh before smiling at her son, "It's fine, the important thing is that you're safe now. Let's go inside so I can make you some katsudon."

Izuku nodded as the two began to climb the stairwell up toward their apartment unit. It was already late in the afternoon and the lazy orange hues from the sun blanketed the surrounding Musutafu Prefecture.

Upon arriving at their door, the two were surprised to see a package wrapped in black covering left at their doorstep.

"A package?" said Inko, confused, "I don't remeber ordering anything."

Izuku bent over to pick it up and turned it over to see that it was supposed to be for him. "Huh? It's for me."

All he saw was the stamp of the Japanese post office along with a note that had his name written on it, with no clue as to who sent it and from where. Izuku suddenly grimaced as he began to think of who could've sent it.

'Most of my class dont really know where I live and I doubt Kacchan would send me anything.' Izuku pondered while holding the mysterious package in hand, 'Could it be from All Might? But he was at the hospital with me earlier so he would probably have mentioned me getting a package from him, so I guess not.'

"Does it say who it's from?" asked Inko, walking up to stand beside Izuku. Izuku shook his head.

"Let's get inside first, then you can open it up." said Inko before reaching into her purse and taking out the key and unlocking the door. Leaving it open for Izuku to walk in and close.

The two went to sit on the couch together as Izuku began to shake the package in an attempt to figure out it's contents. He heard a muffled rattling inside the package, sounding as if it was some sort of square object.

"Well, no time like the present I guess," shrugged Izuku as he carefully began to take of the black covering. After removing it all a plain box now sat in his lap, upon opeing the lid of said box the two were surprised to see a tape of some sort inside.

"A tape?" echoed Izuku, confused. It resembled the black VHS tapes from before Quirks were discovered and had no significant markings or title on it. It was just plain and black in color.

"Who would send you a tape?" asked Inko, as she glanced worriedly at the object. It was worrying that Izuku had recieved a tape from nowhere, directly after the Nomu attack and the incident with Stain, "I don't know Izuku, somthing about this thing worries me."

Izuku nodded in agreement, the League of Villians came to mind but what worried him was that someone he didn't know knew where he lived. He pondered giving All Might a call but quickly shook the thought away. The Symbol of Peace might be busy dealing with the aftermath and he didn't want to bother him because of a little paranoia.

Little did he know his paranoia was very valid in the situation.

"Might as well see what's on here." said Izuku finally as he stood up and strode to the TV. Inko sat and rubbed her hands together nervously, she was worried about what the contents of the tape were. After UA's attack from the LOV, Inko hadn't stopped worrying about her sons safety, but she didn't have the heart to tell him to stop being a Hero, all she could do was support her son to the best of her abilities.

After inserting the tape into their TV's video player Izuku joined his mother back on the couch as the screen began to load the tapes contents.

Suddenly the lights of their apartment went out.

"What?!" Izuku excalimed, "Did the power go out?" Izuku looked around to see that indeed all the lights had gone out.

"Um, Izuku..." Izuku heard his mothers scared tone as he turned to see the screen of their TV still on.

Frightened, Izuku faced the screen to see several black and white images come and go across the screen. A hillside, a dying tree, a basement and several other unsettling images. The two were too scared to move as the screen suddenly paused at the image of a well.

The well was simply a hole in the ground with a small stone wall surrounding it, seemingly in the middle of a desolate forest. The screen stayed on the image the well for 30 seconds, but those few seconds felt like an hour for the holder of One for All and his mother. Beads of sweat dripped from their brows as they gulped but continued to look ahead.

Suddenly a pale hand shot out from the well and grabbed the side, closely followed by another. Inko tightened her grip on her sons hand as Izuku too held onto his mother.

The two pale hands were soon followed by a pale figure with long black hair, it gripped the corners of the well tightly as it pulled itself out. The screen suddenly feezed before resuming again, this time the figure was standing upright in front of the well.

Izuku gulped as he began chanelling 5% of One for All, in case aything were to happen. The figure seemed female with smooth pale skin and long pitch black hair that touched it's toes, and a simple white dress that was dirty and scratched in some places.

The figure kept it's head down with it's black hair hiding it's face as it slowly and creepily began to apprach the screen, almost as if it knew Izuku and his mother were watching it. The mother and son were speechless as the screen began to pause and go static, but once it resumed the figure was coming closer and closer.

'I-is that a Villain, or someone's Quirk?! I-I don't know and I can't move for some reason.' Izuku's mind was running into overdrive as he tried to make sense of what was happening. This was the same feeling he felt during the USJ attack, he was too overwhelmed to move. Suddenly the screen blacked out, leaving the two in darkness. It was right when the figure was close enough to the screen that the two could've sworn they heard breathing coming from the other side.

Looking around the mother and son were about to sigh in releif until the screen turned on once more and the figure, a girl was directly in front of the TV screen. Hair covering her features as she thrust a hand toward them.

Inko hugged Izuku as the girls hand began to phase through the screen and gripped the edge of the TV, followed by the other hand. Izuku reacted quickly as his mind percieved the strange girl as a threat and his right arm began to glow with reddish lines running along his veins, even though he was scared and confused he had to defend his mother no matter the cost.

The girls head followed, her hair bristling as wind from the other side of the screen passed her. As the wind lifted the hair from her face they saw it, her face. Her face was as pale as the rest of her body as her irises were a milky white, her mouth opened in a terrifying manner but what was most noticeable was that her eyes, though milky in appearnce had an angry, vengeful glint in them.

"You..." she thrust a finger at them, her voice was raspy and demonic as she spoke, Izuku quickly pushed his mother behind him as he got ready to engage the girl. But suddenly the girls next words caused the two to pause, "... help... please..."

The girl came out fully, but just as unexpectedly as she arrived she collapsed in front of them. Right when she hit the floor the lights of their apartment came on and the TV returned to normal. The mother and son looked on in shock as they took in the sight of a young girl, roughly 15, collapsed in front of their TV.

Inko and Izuku stared at the young girl, who they moved from off the floor and onto the couch. Her long hair was swept away from her face and the rest cascaded down the side of the couch, brushing against the wooden floor.

She looked American in appearence and was very pretty, well when she was not walking toward them creepily. The two had no idea who she was and what she was doing in the tape and speaking of tape, when Izuku tried to eject it the TV said there was nothing in there at all which raised more questions.

"Should we try to wake her?" asked Izuku, who was still trying to piece togther what happened. Even though he was training to be a hero, they never prepared him for anything like this.

"I'm not sure, she seems to be very tired though. I should prepare dinner in case she's hungry when she wakes up." Inko said, though she was still frightened by the initial enconter, she couldn't help but feel sorry for the girl since she looked terible so to speak and her paternal instincts couldn't ignore a child in need.

Izuku nodded toward her as she left to prepare something in the kitchen. Turning his attention back to the girl, he paused upon seeing the girl staring up at him. She had a blank expression on her face as the two continued staring at eachother in silence.

"HUH!?" Izuku exclaimed as he fell backwards. The girl frowned in confusion as she began to sit up, Inko rushed into the living room upon hearing Izuku's shouts but paused as the girl turned to face her.

Her previously milky white irises were now a dark brown, and the previous anger and animosity were no longer there, instead it was replaced by confusion.

"W-who are you people?" she said quietly in Japanese, as she began to scan their faces as well as the room.

Inko gulped in fear but slowly approached the girl anyway, "Are you okay? You aren't hurt anywhere are you dear?" Izuku followed suite, going to stand beside his mother as she stood infront of the girl.

"Dear?" the girl echoed, tilting her head slightly.

"Um, do you know what happened?" tried Izuku, the girl's brown eyes focused on his emerald green and her pale face suddenly lit up with a blush as she averted her gaze and tucked her head in slightly. "Could you tell us your name?"

The girl remained quiet for a bit before she responded with a low whisper, "Samara. Samara Morgan."

"Oh, well nice to meet." Izuku responded with a smile, one that Inko mirrored.

"I'm Izuku Midoriya."

"Inko Midoriya, his mother."

The girl nodded slowly and the room descended into silence. Inko cleared her throat as she addressed Samara, "Samara, do you happen to know what happened and how you got here?"

Samara hesitated before nodding, "I... I'm sorry for scaring you like that, I didn't mean to..." she sniffled as she spoke, Inko walked over and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.

"Hey, it's okay dear. We're not mad at you, we're just..." she glanced at Izuku, "... surpirsed is all."

Samara's eyes widened as she stared at Inko, "Y-you're not mad or scared?" Inko smiled, "Well we were at first, but something tells me you regret what you did. Right?"

Samara nodded quickly, a small relieved smile on her face, "I just... not a lot of people have actually ever talked to me like this before. They mostly run or..." she stooped herself from finishing the sentence, her smile fading.

"Is it because of your Quirk?" Samara turned her head to face Izuku, who immediatly beagn to apologize, "S-sorry, I know it's kind of disrespectful to ask stuff like that. I'm sorry for asking you out of nowhere."

Samara tilted her head in confusion, "What is a Quirk?"

Inko and Izuku both paused upon hearing her question. "Y-you don't know what a Quirk is?" asked Izuku, flabergasted. Samara responded with the shake of her head, this led to Izuku going off into a muttering spree as he tried to figure out what the deal was with the girl in fron of him.

"We'll talk about all that later, right now you must be hungry?" Inko stood up from the couch as she lended a hand for Samara to grab, "Come and have a seat at the dining room, after you've eaten we can discuss waht happened. Okay."

Samara was taken aback by the kindness the pudgy green haired woman showed her, it was a kindness she had never experienced all the way up until her... death. She simply nodded in response as she rose and followed her, with the green haired boy Izuku following behind stroking his chin while still in thought muttering away.

'Will these people... truly help me?" she wondered as she followed Inko.

Little did both parties know, that their meeting would soon become a story to tell families and friends on the holidays. A story that would be filled with laughter and tears.

And that's a wrap.

Again, sorry about the accidental tease. I actually had this idea on my mind for a while after I watched The Ring again and I thought, "Hey, wouldn't it be pretty cool if MHA had a supernatural hero?" and tha's how ya got to read this.

This chapter was meant as an introduction of the charecters, next chapter is gonna be a lot of emotional dialogue concerning Samara's origins but there will be some surpriseing developments as well. :)

And if you're wondering, yes Samara is 15 in this and yes I'm going for a Samara X Izuku ship. (Ghostly Emerald) If you have any complaints, suggestion or idea'd for future charecter development feel free to speak your mind.

Anyway, I'll see you guys next time on: Chapter One; The Origins Of Samara Morgan.

Have a good one. :)
