All I'm going to say is that if you don't like the Ship, don't comment.

She really shouldn't be awake

Rose laid in bed, staring at the wall. There was nothing interesting on there, no patterns, just yellow paint yet it gave her a lot to think about. Like the yellow textbook of the engineering book she's been reading or the tools she used to help build zords.

It was weird how sleep didn't come to her at some times. Maybe it was due to her long time habit, often staying up till early in the morning to finish assignments that her professor had given. But even when she did sleep early, her mind seemed to be filled with thoughts. If her professor would like her assignment or the weird looks some students gave to her due to her being so young in college. The dinner she ate, or the little treat her professor gave to her.

As a ranger, it felt like it was worse. So much could happen in a day. She would get lost in her thoughts again, memories from earlier enter her mind.

They were arguing about a music band as they walked through a trail with a map to the next gem or clue. It was a pop band, and she didn't know them that well but she did know a few songs. A group of Chillers appeared and they fought. She still felt the aching in her arm where a Chiller hit her. They continued moving after defeating the Chillers and dug something up. They didn't know what it was but they went back to Mansion and Andrew said he would look into it on his own. It was late afternoon and he gave the team the rest of the time off.

She ended up going with Spencer to build the zords. The old servant was kind and she enjoyed working on the zords with him. But programming and building the zords could be a pain. Error after error would pop up on the screen and it would leave her frustrated. She assumed Spencer saw how stressful it was getting for her and he decided to call it a day, telling her to go back and enjoy the rest of the night. By the time she got up, the rangers were eating dinner and then they headed to bed. She wondered if the program would be good in the morning, or if Spencer fixed it.

That night, Rose decided to sleep with her love. She just felt like being close to her tonight.

Ronny was asleep behind her and was snoring quietly. She rolled over to face her. She wishes she could fall asleep as quickly as her. They cuddled and talked for awhile before Ronny turned off the light and instantly fell asleep. Maybe it was because she was more easy going. Ronny mentioned being the only girl with four brothers but she was pretty happy with her family. Maybe that's why. Her parents ditched her at college and she thought they would come back if she studied hard and got amazing grades.

They never came back. She wondered if they knew she was a Power Ranger. Would they be proud or.. would they not care. She wondered how they would feel about Ronny, or well her dating a girl. They never talked about that with her, although she was just eight when they decided to leave her.

Rose sighed and rolled back to the wall. Ronny made a noise and moved in her sleep and it made Rose freeze. She didn't want to wake Ronny up, in her own bed she can toss and turn but not when Ronny is with her. She hoped staying still would keep Ronny from waking up.. but she could hear a groan and feel the mattress sinking as Ronny propped herself up

"..Rose..?" Ronny whispered tiredly. She stayed quiet but Ronny knew better. "I know you're awake. "

Rose sighed seeing no point in staying quiet . " Yup. You're right .."

"What's in that big mind of yours?"

"A lot of stuff."

"Like?"

"..It's just a lot."

Isn't that ironic. She could explain science, math, and history in clear depths yet she can't even explain her jumbled up thoughts.

"Hmm.. Just focus on me right now. It's better than staring at the wall."

Rose nodded as she felt Ronny scoot over to her. Ronny rested on her head. Her arms wrapped around her torso. Their legs intertwined under the blanket.

One of Ronny's hands goes through her hair and her fingers play with the ends. It was… soothing, Rose had to admit.

"There we go. Getting comfortable?"

"Yea," Rose yawned. She could hear Ronny's heartbeat, thumping in a rhythm, her breathing as she inhaled and exhaled, her soft touches on her head. It felt relaxing.

She was starting to feel the tiredness now, her eyes slowly closing on their own.

Rose curled herself against Ronny, wanting to get closer to her and to silently say thank you because she didn't have the energy to talk now.

Ronny grinned as she felt Rose relax in her hold. She waited until she could hear softly breathing from the genius and confirmed that she was asleep. A part of her did feel bad she fell asleep before Rose did but at least she was able to help her girlfriend turn off her mind and get some rest.

Planting a kiss on top of Rose's head and nuzzling her face into her hair, Ronny follows after, holding her love close as she falls back to sleep
