Site rules say I can't do a crossover with Laurel K. Hamilton's books, which includes the Anita Blake books. No characters from the stories will appear in this story. What Xander becomes is inspired by the character Anita Blake, that's all.
A/N So now we're going to take a peek at the life of the Xander from the other reality that accidentally popped up in An Accidental Vampire in Sunnydale, a fictional Slayer made real, known as an Executioner. Also based on a novel series, this one is called Anita Blake, Vampire Executioner, who also happens to be a magical necromancer.
A Xander who can control the dead and lives in Sunnydale, favorite vacation spot for vampires...😜

An argument with Buffy during an intervention regarding her choice to hide the return of her vampire boyfriend from the group had resulted in the current very tense situation. Buffy had made a wish, for Xander to understand what it was like for her and for the one she loved, Angel, a cursed vampire, to be who they were and the pain of their existences.
Unknown to any of the participants in the intervention, a vengeance demon had been lurking nearby and heard the wish. In one reality, she granted the part of the wish that pertained to Angel, in this one she granted the part that pertained to Buffy herself.
No one knew that yet as they were anxiously waiting for Xander to wake up, as the granting of the wish had rendered him unconscious and the demon had vanished immediately afterwards.
While Giles and Cordelia, Xander's girlfriend, were attempting to research which vengeance demon had granted the wish, Buffy and her best friend, Willow, were helping Angel, Buffy's boyfriend, a vampire cursed with a soul, destroy the Glove of Myneghan, after subduing Gwendolyn Post, Buffy's fellow Slayer, Faith's new Watcher, who'd tried to steal it for herself.
"Buffy," Willow tried again to discuss with Buffy the reason for the intervention as they returned to the High School Library. "The intervention was meant to help you understand how your choices are affecting us. Me personally, I'm scared, Buffy. You seem to have a blind belief in Angel that I don't get. How could you not even consider the possibility that the soul might have been lost while he was in Hell?"
"I had to help him, Willow. I love him too much not to try."
"You can't see clearly where he's concerned, Buffy. You don't seem to understand what you're risking. We're scared! Why aren't you? You broke the curse before, you could break it again."
"Angel has never scared me, Angelus yes, but not Angel and I understand that smoochies with him could lead to badness. I won't kiss him anymore, okay! I understand very well what breaking the curse means, Willow, but I can't just stop loving him. There has to be a way to, I don't know, anchor the soul maybe? So it's not lost and then we can be together, like we're meant to be."
"Something like that may be impossible, Buffy. Or take years to accomplish, years in which Angelus could be set loose again."
"Not if I avoid kissing him it won't."
"Sex didn't break the curse, Buffy, Giles thinks being happy broke it. What else could make Angel happy enough to break it?"
"I make him happy."
"And there's the problem, Buffy. You make him happy and you insist on being involved with him, which risks the curse being broken again. I stand by my statement, you can't be objective around him and you're not just risking your life or our lives, but the whole world. Or have you forgotten that Angelus tried to end the world?"
"No, I haven't forgotten, Willow! I'm the one who had to send the man I love to Hell to save the world! I'm not likely to forget!"
"Except your actions say you did forget because not three weeks after you discovered he was back from Hell, a fact you hid from us, you were kissing him. It's really easy to lose control, Buffy and before you know it you've broken the curse again! You may not want to believe it, but since you make Angel happy, than being with him means you're risking breaking the curse. How long until you forget again? And break the curse again?"
"Willow, I don't want to lose him."
"Losing him is inevitable, Buffy." Willow informed her. "I should never have encouraged you to get involved with him. You really only have two choices here. Either you stop seeing each other or you risk breaking the curse again. Who will Angelus kill next time? Please don't risk it, Buffy. Before he found Acathla he was terrorizing us, sooner or later he'd have killed more than just Ms. Calendar and you know it. He was less than a foot from your mother when he was taunting her! He was in my house! If my parents had been home it might have been them he killed instead of my fish! Please don't risk it, Buffy." Willow pleaded with her friend to understand.
"Willow, there has to be a way. You want to be a witch, can't you research it?"
"Like I said, if it's even possible it could take years, years in which you're risking all of our lives and the whole world. This is one time I can't be on your side, Buffy, too much is at risk and I'm afraid. And I don't understand why you're not."
Before Buffy could answer the two girls arrived back at the High School Library and pushed their way through the double doors, just as Xander woke up.
"God damn, what hit me?" He slowly sat up. "And why am I in the book cage?"
"What do you remember, Xander?" Giles asked.
"Um, a really big, ugly vampire that chased the new Slayer into town and her and Buffy slamming a log into its chest. Did I get knocked out? That's usually Giles' gig, not mine."
"Oh dear, that event happened a month ago." Giles informed him.
"That's not good and it still doesn't explain why I'm in the cage."
