I don't own Aqua Teen Hunger Force or any of its characters.

Once everyone was out of the closet, I glanced around, shocked to see that Meatwad's room looked destroyed. The roof was completely gone, the floor littered with pieces of the wall and glass from the broken window. If I didn't know any better I would think this house was abandoned, but it can't be since this is where we arrived through the portal.

Allyson looked equally surprised to see the ruined room. She looked around before turning to me. "Is this where they live?" she asked, the disbelief clear in her voice. "How do they survive in this junk?"

I shook my head. "Something must have destroyed their home," I whispered back to her.

"Or someone," she added, and I remembered the cartoons talking about a girl. I started to wonder if she could have done this.

Suddenly determined to try my best to get rid of whoever did this to the Aqua Teen's house, I tried to make my way to the door, but I tripped a few times on the pieces of wall, and I avoided the glass altogether. I was grateful when I finally stumbled into the hallway. I steady myself and looked behind me to see Allyson having just as much trouble as I was getting through the room.

I started to walk to the living room, aware that everyone was following me. I glanced into Frylock's room when I passed it, noticing that the door was missing. I paused and looked further into the room, seeing that his computer was destroyed and sparking. Glancing around I saw that his bed frame was broken in half, and everything else in the room looked no better.

What happened here? I wondered.

A few seconds later I felt something beside me. I expected to see Allyson, but instead Frylock floated next to me. "Everything is ruined," he said with a frown. Then his voice got lower as he added something, but I couldn't hear every word, although I heard him say the words "she" and "promised".

I wanted to ask him what he said, but before I could I noticed Allyson walked by without even looking into the ruined room. Quickly I followed her. "I don't like it here," I admitted, suddenly regretting agreeing to help this world.

"It was your idea to come here," she reminded me. But then she added after she glanced at the cartoons," Let's save this world, and then we can find a house somewhere and start a new life."

I wanted to ask her if she really thought we could stop this unknown girl, but I shut my mouth before I got a word out when we entered the living room and looked around in shock.

There was a giant hole in the roof, and I noticed all the windows were broken just like in Meatwad's room. The TV lay on the floor, smashed, and Shake's chair was cut into pieces. Glancing into the kitchen, I saw that there were holes in the wall while the fridge and everything was knocked to the floor.

As I looked around, I saw that the aliens still kept their direction from me. "What's their problem?" I whispered to Allyson as I leaned closer to her.

But she just shrugged and started walking out of the house. I ran after her, but when I stepped on something, I looked down to see the door under my feet. I hopped off it and looked at it for a moment before glancing at where it should have been.

"Are you sure we can make a life in this world?" I asked Allyson as I scanned the street that was covered with garbage, and there seemed to be fire all over the place. I knew that it was easy for things to explode in this world, but it still frightened me to realize how much more dangerous this world was compared to ours, no matter how much we hated our lives there.

But there was a strange feeling I've never felt in our world. It kinda felt like I belonged here, like something inside me was telling me that this was where I should stay. I liked it. I started to think maybe we would be able to make a new life here if we did manage to save this world, but why was it up to me?

I turned to Frylock, who was hovering behind me, but when I asked him this question, he just stared at me, unblinking, for several long moments. Then he sighed and floated around me. I glanced once at Allyson before we both followed him, Shake and Meatwad right behind us.

It was then that I heard Err whisper to his leader," Can we trust her?" I knew the aliens were still hiding in the house as if to avoid me.

Glancing over my shoulders, I saw that the Plutonians were watching me suspiciously, but I said nothing to them as I continued to follow Frylock. I saw that he was headed toward Carl's house. Was he going to see if his neighbor was alright? I noticed on the show that the fries worried a little too much about the human.

Frylock stopped in front of the door. The house looked the same on the outside, and I began to hope that whoever had destroyed the Aqua Teen's home didn't mess with Carl's house. But when Frylock reached for the doorknob, the whole door fell backwards.

Allyson and I turned to each other, and I saw the shock I was feeling reflected on her face. Unsure, I glanced inside. Everything was destroyed, and I began to think that the fat man wasn't here when suddenly I heard yelling coming from upstairs.

I noticed that Allyson stiffened beside me, but after I offered her the most assuring smile I could manage, she seemed to relax a little. We were about to walk into the house, stopping though when Frylock put out one of his fries to block our way.

"She needs to stay out here," he told us as he pointed to Allyson.

"Why?" I demanded.

He looked at me for a few seconds before replying," Because it's too dangerous." I was gonna object, saying that Allyson is able to take care of herself, but the box of fries floated into the house before I had a chance to speak.

I sighed and turned to Allyson. "I'm sorry," I started, but she interrupted me.

"No it's fine," she said with a smile on her face. "I'll just wait out here."

As I entered the house, I waved at her before I focused on climbing the steps. I noticed that Shake and Meatwad stayed outside with Allyson, but I didn't think too much about that. I just figured they didn't see any reason to come inside if Allyson can't.

When I got up the stairs, I followed Frylock into a room. I immediately knew that this was where Carl slept, but there was no sign of the fat man. Then I heard a scream again that sounded like it came from the bathroom.

Frylock floated into the other room that was hooked to the bedroom, and I heard him yell. I ran in after him, almost screaming myself when I saw what was in there, but I had to force myself to keep my mouth shut.

Carl was laying on the floor, tied up, but that's not why I wanted to scream. The whole room was crawling with bugs; these creatures were bigger than normal ones though. And there was a robot pinning the human down with a gun pointed to his head. The robot was pretty tall, and it had the shape of a skinny human with long legs and arms. It looked like a robot straight out of any sci-fi movie.

I was distracted when one of the bugs started crawling toward me. I jumped back, but it kept coming to me though, so I kicked it, and it went flying across the room. Every single bug turned to me and started toward me. Terror spot through me. I hated bugs!

Suddenly the robot let go of Carl and ran in front of me. It held out its arms, and the bugs stopped, but they looked up at me. Then the robot turned to me and bowed.

I blinked, confused. What was going on?

Frylock floated to me and pushed me backwards. I saw that the robot moved closer to me, but Frylock whispered to me," Tell it to stop and that it's okay."

Still confused, I told that to the robot and it stopped.

Frylock halted me when we got to the other side of the room. "Perhaps we could use this to our advantage." I wasn't sure whether he was talking to me or not, so I didn't answer him. But the next thing he said was clearly meant for me. "Have you ever told people what to do, kind of like their ruler?"

That question surprised me. "No."

"Well, could you pretend that you are the robot's ruler?" he went on.

"S-sure," I stammered, feeling very confused.

Frylock floated back to the robot, who paid no attention to him. The robot walked to me and looked me over. Then it bowed again and asked," What may I do for you, Empress?"

I backed up, uncertain at first, but then a thought struck me. It seemed like this robot would do anything I tell it to. I smiled a little and then said," Untie Carl."

Without hesitation, the robot went back into the bathroom and untied the human, who stumbled to his feet and ran to Frylock. He hid behind the fries, whispering something to him. The robot walked back to me and just stood beside me.

I glanced at it. "So, you have a name?" I asked it slowly.

The robot answered without looking at me. "I'm named FX-67, my Empress."

I blinked. Who does it think I am? But instead of saying that to it, I asked the robot," Why were you guarding Carl?"

"My Empress, you gave us orders to guard every human that is still alive, so they don't start a revolution." FX-67 turned to me. "Is this human a friend of yours?"

"Um..." What am I supposed to do now? Whoever this robot thought I was sure didn't like humans. It couldn't know that I wasn't its "Empress", but I couldn't think of anything to say.

Thankfully, Frylock floated to us and explained," There's some humans that the Empress wants to take back to her castle and torture."

I hoped the robot would believe Frylock. But FX-67 seemed to forget about Carl. Now it looked at the box of fries and asked," Who are you?"

"I'm Frylock, and—"

"He's my slave," I interrupted quickly. Then I glanced at Frylock, hoping he would go along with it. The fries seemed to understand, for he bowed a little and backed up as if he was really a slave who was giving his owner space to do what she wanted.

FX-67 turned to me, not worrying about Frylock anymore. "What are you doing here?" it asked me. "Last I heard you were in your castle, and were enjoying the peace and quiet."

"Oh, well, I wanted to stretch my legs," I explain, kind of liking this now. It was fun to act like a ruler. "But," I added a little more seriously now," that's enough talking. Let's get out of here." I started walking to the door, aware that FX-67 was right behind me.

Frylock and Carl followed behind us. I heard Carl whisper to the fries," What is wrong with her? She doesn't seem as evil as she did when—"

"Shh!" Frylock interrupted quietly. "I'll explain when we get outside. I need to explain it to her as well."

Once out of the house, I was gonna go tell Allyson what I saw up stairs, but Frylock whispered to me," Come over here for a second."

I nodded as I looked around. I saw that Shake and Meatwad was in their yard, seeming bored. But the Mooninites and the Plutonians were gone. I followed Frylock as he walked over to his friends, glad to see that Allyson was right behind me.

But I noticed that FX-67 and Carl were following us as well. Frylock stopped and turned to the robot; I paused while Allyson gave me a confused glance as she too halted beside us. Carl continued to walk to Meatwad and Shake.

"I'm sorry, we need to talk alone," Frylock told the robot, who ignored him and focused on me.

"Stay here," I ordered the robot, and I saw that Allyson glanced at me, but I couldn't explain to her about what was going on. I had to wait til we were away from the robot to tell her.

Instantly FX-67 stepped back and said," Okay."

"Thanks," Frylock murmured to me as the three of us started going to the others. When we got there, the fries turned to me and began to explain," You already know that someone is ruling us. But what you don't know is—"

"The Empress looks exactly like you!" Shake interrupted Frylock.
