Loser's Lounge Part 5! Prepare for another short one because I'm a flop with Loser's Lounge.
Mortal01- You pointing out the sanctuary comment was funny. Emma's rant is iconic. Thanks for the comment about Lightning/Cody and how it felt natural.
myfacewhen- normal reaction/I love TDU too!
Jaron58- Under five months and we're already at final 24
Lacueva- Glad you liked Brick's role because I was worried it'd come off weird for him to be in. I'm gagged you didn't choose a Sammy scene as your favorite for once. I laughed way too much at you saying Mary was the best, it must've killed you inside. You call Chet dumb in reviews, but he has a 12/13 voting record so he must be doing something smart!
andrew1- Shawn is another finalist left, but the point is understood. You're right about Taylor. Random note, but Cody was one of your early "rooting for" picks and he's still here, so good job!
Red Rain- Raj and Emma got done dirty with those eliminations lol. You're correct about Chris' reasoning for Harold outranking Duncan. TDU is only at 2 idol blindsides, it still has some work to do before catching up. Your sad eliminations rhyme!
Puzzlefan123- I'm honestly shocked that the trope isn't used more often
Kelly's Revenge- Sorry in advance for not doing this, but I hope you enjoy the chapter regardless
Post Episode 27:
"NOOOO!" Tom and Sam shout at the same time upon seeing Anne Maria and Dakota enter the Loser's Lounge together. Anne Maria looks just as displeased as they sound, but Dakota on the other hand runs up to Sam, clearly happy to be reunited with him.
"I've missed you so much!" she says while embracing him.
"I've missed you too." Sam hugs back.
"Um, I'm confused." Ellody says.
"About what?" Cameron questions.
"How are Anne Maria AND Dakota here? Aren't they on the same team?" she asks while gesturing to the memory wall that now has both women's pictures grayed out.
"It was a stupid single team double elimination." Anne Maria says with a tone that shows she is still salty about her elimination. "There was this challenge where you could put your team up for elimination in exchange for immunity during the votes. Scott took it, and here we are."
"That's cold." Ezekiel notes. "But I'm not upset about it."
"Yeah, you kind of deserved it." Trent shrugs.
"Shut up!" Anne Maria snaps.
"Yeah, don't come for a queen like her." Tom defends Anne Maria.
"There's no need to be salty, Trent." Justin says. He and Anne Maria exchange a smile. "I wish you lasted longer."
"I wish I lasted longer too."
We see Sam and Dakota finally break their hug. She awkwardly turns to Cameron and Mike. "So… now we're all eliminated, isn't that sad?" Dakota laughs. She notices Mike looking a little bit bitter. "Ugh, I'm sorry about lying to you. I was just trying to stay in the game!"
Mike sighs. "It's fine, I guess. I'm a bit sad that it's all for nothing, the alliance that voted us out are all still in."
"Which is good." Heather injects herself into the conversation. "They have a better chance at winning than any of you do."
"We didn't even say anything to you, why are you being rude?" Cameron asks.
"Because it was just implied that Alejandro still being in the game is bad." Heather replies calmly. Dakota just ignores her and looks around. She sees Miles having a bitter look of her own, clearly unhappy with what happened at the Green Team's last pre swap elimination.
"Yeesh, everyone is so bitter…" she mutters to herself.
…
We see Spud going to get himself a hotdog later in the day. Julia is watching this unfold and will not let him peacefully do this. She grabs a trash can and pops it onto his head.
"Hey, what was that for?" Spud asks after a pause.
"This is payback for you giving me high fat salad dressing!" Julia yells before kicking him in the face, her clearly being on a warpath against the fatties group.
Post Episode 28:
"Yeah, my big moves somehow didn't get me the win!" MacArthur tells the gathered group of ousted campers.
"I tried to warn you…" Sanders frowns.
"I'm sure there are some other big move players still in the game that would prove you wrong." MacArthur disagrees, still not seeing the error of her ways.
"And how did you get out, miss explosive?" Jasmine asks Scarlett.
"MK and I got caught for cheating." Scarlett replies calmly.
"She cheated AGAIN?" Damien asks in shock.
"Yup."
"That's my girl! What did she do?" Julia asks with a smile.
"We had a plan that involved attacking a camerawoman and stealing her identity to spy on the other alliance to cheat. That's how we found out who the other alliance was voting for so we could play the idol on Dwayne." Scarlett says.
"That's not fair." Crimson points out with a dry tone regarding her elimination.
"You CHEATED? That is so not right!" Bridgette glares.
"I am SO proud of MK!" Julia says, earning glares from Crimson and Bridgette.
"I-" Sam begins to speak.
"Oh right, I need more revenge!" Julia gets up and chases Sam. Dakota follows them, wanting to protect him.
Post Episode 29:
"So, then Dakota and Julia got into a big fight. It was entertaining." Heather tells Axel, one of the freshly eliminated players about the fallout to what was described a whole two lines ago.
"Wish I could've seen it, probably beats working hard and competing only to get eliminated by a bunch of bs. That dual team elimination twist shouldn't even exist, I would still be here if not for it." Axel vents her frustrations about her elimination.
"Hey." a voice interrupts the reunited duo's conversation. They turn over and see Ripper, causing Axel to raise an eyebrow.
"Hi?"
"Can we talk?" Ripper requests. Heather takes this as her cue to leave.
"What?" Axel puts her hands on her hips.
"I already apologized when I was eliminated, but I just want to apologize again for how I acted. I promise that from here on out, I'll accept that we will only be friends." Ripper repeats his words from his episode 8 elimination.
"Yeah, I believed you the first time." Axel calmly replies.
"Oh."
"DIE DIE DIE!" Julia shouts while holding a knife. Ripper screams and runs away, causing Axel to look worried.
"Ooh, there's a knife chase going on?" Scary Girl pops up from behind the kitchen counter. "Sounds fun!"
"We need to focus on the rat cookies." Lorenzo tells her.
"Oh, right! DJ, do you want one?" Scary Girl asks the recently eliminated camper.
"I'll pass!" DJ says quickly before going to a table. That table holds every eliminated player from the Orange Team. "Why is Julia chasing Ripper with a knife?"
B makes some hand motions that Dawn translates. "There was a group called the 'fatties alliance' that tried to make Julia fat because she fat shamed Tammy. She found out what they were doing."
"Were you a part of that alliance?" Caleb asks B. B shakes his head.
"EEK, I wasn't invited to the alliance!" Sadie exclaims.
"Not a shocker that people wouldn't want to be around you…" Priya shades, causing Sadie to glare at her.
"Which fatties were in that group?" Katie asks.
"Owen, Ripper, Spud, Sam, and Beardo." Dawn says, causing Sadie to gasp.
"THIS IS DISCRIMINATION!"
"Huh?" Laurie asks.
"Notice those five names, what do they all have in common?"
"Being fat?" Ezekiel deadpans, causing Caleb to laugh.
"TESTICLES."
"Huh-"
"This is sexist against female fatties, like where is the representation?" Sadie wonders.
"Most of them are still in the game." Laurie replies. "Sugar, Millie, Tammy, Staci, Emma-"
"Emma is crazy." Priya gasps.
"I don't care! If Ripper isn't dead, I am totally going to confront him for this!" Sadie stands up and leaves.
"EEK, you go girl!" Katie cheers her friend on.
"Um… now that she's gone, I just realized that Millie is the only one from our team still in the game." Laurie says.
"Unfortunately." Caleb shakes his head. Priya elbows him, causing him to shut up.
"Millie has improved!" DJ defends her.
"Has she?" Caleb asks.
"Yeah. She wanted me to apologize on her behalf while she's still competing. She was under a lot of stress to play well because of the online hate she received, she threw you under the bus out of paranoia." DJ explains to him. "She feels really bad about it, but we talked and now she's playing the game harder than ever."
"I'm proud of her!" Priya smiles.
"Go Millie." Caleb dryly states.
"Mmmm!" Katie exclaims out of nowhere while eating some muffins. "DJ, your mom is the best cook, I'm so glad that she's here!"
This causes DJ to gasp. "Wait, what? She's here?"
"Yeah, she's totally the cook for this place!" Katie replies. DJ stands up.
"MAMA, WHERE ARE YOU?" he runs off to go find her.
…
"I was SO ROBBED, WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Sierra cries loudly.
"Sierra, no offense, but my ears hurt. Please refrain from such loud crying in the future." Ellody says.
Sierra's tears dry up. "Okay!"
"How did you stop crying so quickly-"
This scene is interrupted as the Dave and Ella duo walk by them. We see them walk toward the hallway where all the rooms are. Ella grimaces as they pass by Sky's door. "She still hasn't come out of there, I'm getting worried. Was her elimination that bad?"
"I don't know, maybe? We should be trying to find Leonard though-" Dave tries to say before Ella knocks on Sky's door. Ella hears something being thrown at the door on the other side, which to her sounded like a vase.
"...point taken, let's go!" Ella says before the duo make their way to Leonard's room. They knock, and Leonard answers.
"AH! ELLA AND DAVE JUMPSCARE!" Leonard yells. Ella and Dave share an unamused glance. "What brings you two to my door?"
"We want to talk about Tammy." Ella says.
Leonard sighs. "What about her?"
"After your elimination, she told me that she doesn't believe in magic anymore-"
"I don't believe you." Leonard cuts off before slamming the door in their face.
Ella turns to Dave. "Maybe we can try again-"
"You know what? I'm tired of this lost cause. He'll find out the truth eventually, I'm done spending my time trying to get him to see the light." Dave sighs, his low patience with Leonard coming to a close.
Post Episode 30:
"OMG TYLER!" Lindsay screams at the top of her lungs, causing a 2% increase in deafness across the world.
"LINDSAY!" Tyler yells back. The loud and ditsy duo run towards each other, quickly embracing in a hug. "I've missed you so much!"
"I've missed you too! We need to catch up on never leaving each other's side!" Lindsay says before the pair kiss, not dissimilar to Geoff and Bridgette reuniting.
"Aww!" Beth smiles.
"Eww!" Topher spitefully responds.
"Shut up."
"I hope you chip your teeth and they get crooked again to the point you're forced to wear braces for the rest of your life, except your life only lasts for two more years before you get run over by someone driving an SUV aged 43 who has two children named William and Natalie."
"Rude!"
Elsewhere, we see Junior walk in with bruises all over him. "Oh my, what happened to you?" Jay asks.
"I got beat up by animals all day, then I lost an automatic elimination that only my team had to do. It was a lovely day." Junior says sarcastically.
"Yikes, the Lime alliance numbers are plummeting at an alarming rate." Ellody frowns. As they catch up, we cut to Chase walking in with no one acknowledging his presence.
"Hi." Chase greets. No one responds.
Post Episode 31:
"I feel bad for not responding! You were allied with my girl Jen? You're good in my books!" Tom approves of Chase after Chase tells some people how he got eliminated.
"Jen is a queen, so there must be more to you than meets the eye." Anne Maria agrees.
"Of course there is, there's a lot to love about me!" Chase grins.
"Don't let the compliment go to your head." Anne Maria rolls her eyes.
"Speaking of Jen, we were kind of rude to Tyler and I feel bad about it now. I should apologize to him." Tom stands up.
"I'll come with you."
"Why?"
"To see Lindsay, she's an icon."
"EEE! True!"
With that, the pair walk off. Just as they walk off, Dwayne and Jacques enter the Loser's Lounge. No one likes Jacques, so no one has a reaction to his elimination. He doesn't seem to care, opting to go to his room and let his anger about his elimination sink in. Dwayne on the other hand does get greeted by Junior, who runs up and hugs his father.
"Sorry that I couldn't pull through Junior, I was in a tiebreaker-"
"It's okay dad. No offense, but I didn't expect you to make it this far anyways."
"Hey-"
"I said no offense!" Junior puts his hands up, causing the pair to laugh.
…
We see Tom and Anne Maria making their way to Lindsay's room. Before they can knock, Anne Maria stops. "What are you waiting for girl, do it." Tom gestures at the door.
"We can't knock." Anne Maria says.
"Why not?"
"Do you hear what's going on in there?"
"No?"
"Listen."
Tom does as instructed and hears noises in the couple's room. "Ohhhh… yeah, not the best time-"
"HELP!" they hear a voice scream from another room.
"What was that?!" Tom gasps.
"I don't know, but I'm not sure that I wanna find out!" Anne Maria replies.
"So, we're just going to leave someone who needs help?" Tom asks.
"Yup."
"Okay then, let's leave!"
…
We cut to the source of the screaming, and that's Owen. We see everyone in the fatties alliance tied up in a room by Julia. "So… you all thought you could just do that to me and get away with it?!" Julia asks angrily. "I've worked way too hard on my body to let you idiots ruin it for me, I will get my payback!"
Julia turns the temperature of the room to the coldest setting and leaves them there.
Post Episode 32:
"Has anyone seen Sam?" Dakota asks.
"Or Ripper? I was totally going to go on a women's empowerment rant, but I haven't seen him!" Sadie adds.
"No, they've been missing all day." Cameron says.
"I hope they're good." Zoey adds.
…
We catch the end of the boat ride with Wayne and Bowie. "I feel so pathetic that you're seeing me all emotional like this…" Bowie sighs, having finished telling Wayne everything that happened at the Amber Team's final elimination ceremony.
"Don't worry, dude! I cry in front of people all the time." Wayne comforts. "I know we aren't as close to each other as we are to Raj and Emma, but you could act however you need to around me!"
Bowie raises an eyebrow. "Emma?" he asks with curiosity, though he is secretly hoping it's about what he thinks it is.
"Oh, right! Emma and I are dating!" Wayne tells Bowie, causing Bowie's sad state to temporarily end and he squeals in excitement.
"You aren't joking with me, are you?!"
"I'm not!"
"Tell me EVERYTHING."
"So, we were talking like we usually do. During that necklace challenge, I caught her when she fell out of a tree, and we confessed our feelings for each other." Wayne explains.
"Wow, that's cliche." Bowie comments. "I wasn't sure if you returned her feelings, but I'm glad you did, double dates will be so easy to plan."
"That's so true, we can all go to the hockey rink together!"
Bowie sighs. "Of course, that's where you'd plan to go…" he says before his face morphs into a serious look. "You need to promise me something."
"Uh… what is it?"
"You better not hurt Emma like Chase did. Don't do any stupid things that could hurt her and leave her traumatized like the incident with the brakes on her car. If you do that, I will get Scary Girl's phone number and make sure she kills you." Bowie threatens.
"Don't worry, I won't do that! Like I know how to cut brakes." Wayne laughs, causing Bowie's exterior to soften.
Post Episode 33:
We see DJ serving some food with Ms. Martin. "Aw, it's nice to see the mother and son work so well." Kelly says as she walks up to the counter.
"I'm glad I raised such an excellent cook." Ms. Martin says. Before any other nice words can be exchanged, the last four losers enter together. Brick, Duncan, Taylor, and Harold are the recent victims.
"Harold, no!" Leshawna frowns upon seeing the person she was rooting for to win in the Loser's Lounge so early.
"Duncan, YES!" Amy cheers, running up to her ex. "How does it feel knowing that you're now eliminated? You could've made it to the finale with Blaineley and I if you weren't a sensitive idiot who broke up with me over nothing!"
"I still outranked you by nearly 50 spots and 20 episodes." Duncan ends Amy with 11 words.
Amy stomps her foot in annoyance. "Ugh, that's not fair at all!"
"No one cares, Amy."
"But-"
"Nobody cares!" many of the Loser's Lounge residents yell at once, shutting her up. Brick walks up to Geoff, Brody, Max, and Devin.
"Hey guys…"
"Screw you!" Max yells. "You flipped on me, I did not deserve to go."
"Yes, you did. Me on the other hand…" Devin trails off, clearly implying that he is the true person who didn't deserve to go.
"Maybe I deserved it for kidnapping a baby, but-"
"I'm sorry!" Brick interrupts to apologize. "I was a liar for a lot of Phase 1 when I thought I was doing the honorable thing. I'm sorry for misleading you all into thinking I was working with you before flipping, I feel bad for it. Courtney flipped on me because she couldn't trust me after it, so I got karma if you wanted me to get it."
"EVIL is satisfied knowing that." Max smirks.
"I'm still not happy, but I guess I can forgive you."
Taylor has an awkward look on her face as she locks eyes with Kelly. She remembers everything that was said regarding her allowance and the gear in her head begins turning. "So, I didn't win… oh well, I can just fake cry and she'll give it back to me or something, she's a complete pushover!" Taylor thinks to herself. She walks over to Kelly and does just that.
"Mom, I'm like so sorry for voting you out of the game and being mean to you! Can I have my allowance back please?" Taylor asks.
…
"I don't have all day mom, I-"
"No. I told you that you wouldn't have an allowance unless you improved your behavior. You did the exact opposite and doubled down on all of your negative traits, and now you come back here and try to push me around to get it back? That isn't happening anymore, I won't bend to your will." Kelly stands her ground. Taylor pushes the sorrow in her crying to the max.
"Please please please mom, I love you! I made some mistakes, but there's nothing a good shopping trip can't fix-"
"We aren't going shopping. The only way you're going shopping again in the future is when you get a job of your own and have to pay for it yourself." Kelly continues. "You're going to have to get a job in the real world, Taylor."
"Excuse me? Mom, I really am sorry. You were just being so… yourself and I had to do something about it! Can't you sympathize with a victim here-"
"You are NOT a victim, you treat everyone around you like trash! I take full responsibility for it, but it's true."
"If you take full responsibility, then maybe you should give me my allowance back-"
"No. Bye, Taylor. Start applying for a job, because you're going to need one." Kelly finishes before walking away. She gives a high five to Ms Martin on her way out, the cook being proud to see her not give in. Taylor looks shocked.
"APPLY FOR A REAL JOB? I DON'T WANT TO WORK AT MCDONALDS OR SOMETHING LIKE JUSTIN DOES, I AM BETTER THAN THAT!" Taylor screams at the top of her lungs, getting the attention of everyone else in the Loser's Lounge.
"You are not better than me." Justin glares.
"You're right… I'm WAY better! This is unfair, I'm getting punished for no reason!" Taylor sulks. Everyone ignores her as she begins crying on the ground, even her friends in Anne Maria and Tom not coming to console her.
…
"Seriously, where is Sam?" Dakota wonders, now getting worried.
"And Spud! We can't rock on if he isn't here!" Rock adds. "I haven't seen him in days."
"Same here, but with Sam! I'm worried…"
"Same, but what do we do?"
"We'll have to find them together." Dakota says. The duo shakes hands, ready to search.
…
"Aw, I'm happy for you guys!" Priya says to Wayne after he tells some of his original castmates how he and Emma got together.
"A lot of us have gotten into relationships from our season." Caleb chuckles.
"You and Priya, Wayne and Emma, Bowie and Raj, MK and Julia, Ripper and Axel at one point, Chase was with Emma… yeah, that checks out." Damien lists the couples.
"I hope that you guys don't break up, we'd have to hear Emma rant about you all the time like she does with Chase." Axel says while pointing to Chase, who has a dejected look on the other side of the table.
"Exactly." Bowie shudders. "Have you guys heard about the story with Chase and his cousin Chrissy?"
"What happened?" Zee asks while sipping a soda.
"Do not bring that up." Chase warns.
"Okay…" Bowie agrees. "Anyways, I heard Ms. Martin has made some cinnamon rolls, I'm going to try some."
"Same, I'm hungry." Priya agrees. The majority of the table go to get food, leaving Chase and Damien behind. Damien notices that Chase has a bothered look on his face, so he scoots closer.
"Hi."
"Hi."
"How are you?" Damien asks.
"I don't know."
"Ok." Damien awkwardly replies, Chase's answer not exactly lending itself to a 5 star conversation. "Sorry that things with Emma didn't work out… even if you kind of deserved it- wait, I just realized that isn't a helpful thing to say- I should stop talking."
"Huh, you're a horrible talker." Chase notes. "I just thought that I did everything right to get her back, so it's a bit disappointing."
"He's still a bit delusional, but it's better than him constantly asking for her back." Damien thinks. His thoughts get interrupted by a gasp from Sierra.
"OMG there you are, we haven't seen you since your elimination!" she points to Sky, who's hair is messy, and she looks tired.
Yes, Sky was hiding in her room for literal weeks after her elimination, we love a hermit icon. Anyways, I'll be honest about the Loser's Lounge episodes: There is something I haven't revealed yet that lessens the LL format. It's not a bad thing, dw, but it will come into play later and I'll mention it. Once this thing came up, the need for longer episodes disappeared.
Anyways, uh... ig I should ask a question here: What's your favorite moment of the season so far?
See you next time!
