Chapter 1: A New Job

It felt like any other morning. The sunlight flashed at my eyes and the sound of loud honks from the many cars passing by your small apartment. It gives me the urge to sleep through the rest of the day and not wake up. But I didn't get the chance to, since my alarm clock started ringing loudly. I groaned in annoyance and slammed the snoozed button. Looks like I have to get up sooner or later.

After doing my usual morning hygiene, I decided to make a simple, but small breakfast. I don't have enough money to buy more food, so I have to stick to what I've got. A grilled cheese sandwich. I may have burned it a little bit, but it was tasty enough for me to not care.

I sat on my small couch while looking at today's newspaper while eating my sandwich. I've been looking for a new job since I got fired from my last job. I even still remembered the conversation I had with my boss.

~FLASHBACK: 2 WEEKS AGO~

"What do you mean I'm fired?" Mike cried out in anger, hearing about the terrible news.

"You know exactly why, Mike. You have been like this for almost three months now! You always come here smelling like alcohol, looking like you haven't slept for hours, you even not doing your job. I'm sorry, but I cannot handle that one of my employees is not meeting the company's standards." Mike's boss, Robert, explained.

"But… I need this job! This is the only place I could afford in living my apartment." Mike pleaded.

"I'm sorry Mike, but I gave you so many second chances and you just wasted all of them."

Mike just stayed silent, not wanting to believe what just happened. Robert spoke again.

"Look, I know it's been hard after your mother's death. But sobering away with Alcohol and coming to work like this is not the way to go. When you started this job, you've been one of my best workers here. And you went and stab yourself on the foot repeatedly."

"You don't know what I'm going through…"

"But I know you get passed it." Robert grabs a newspaper nearby and gives it to Mike. "You can have my newspaper. I'm sure there are other jobs you can apply to. Just promise yourself that you'll fix yourself up, or else you'll never get anywhere in life. Just do it for your health, and maybe you can find some peace and move on."

~PRESENT~

The thought of moving on after my mother's death really stuck out to me. It's hard to move on when the person that is close to you is no longer here. Especially not figuring out who was responsible for her murder. I heard about the news after I got back from my apartment, I received a call from the police if I was a family relative and that they would bring me for questioning. I too also had questions of my own, but the answers they gave me didn't satisfy me. Saying that the only evidence they were able to get was a piece of faux fur fabric. Which is mostly saying that there's no evidence to prove that it was a murder, so they labeled this as suicide. But I know my mother wouldn't take her own life, she was in healthy condition. And even if there were signs of her attempting to kill herself, I would've noticed.

Sigh, I'm thinking way too hard on this again.

"Maybe I should keep searching for a new job since I definitely screw up last time," I said to myself as I began searching through the pages. I found some ads that caught my interest a bit, but not much. That is until I found an ad that really caught my attention.

'*NOW HIRING*

Freddie Fazbear's Pizza:

Pizzeria looking for a security guard to work the night shift. 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. Monitor cameras, and ensure the safety of equipment and animetronic characters. Not responsible for injury/death/permanent trauma.

$150 a week. To apply call 1-800-FAZBEAR'

Freddie Fazbear's Pizza? I think I knew of that restaurant a few years ago. I heard there were a few murders happening there. But this doesn't look like the same one as the old location before it got closed years ago. The name may be the same, but the only difference there was is that Freddy looked like an anthro anime girl. Which is weird, to say the least.

'But at least the pay grade is... well it's not the best, but it's better than nothing I guess. So… eh, what the hell I'll take a look at this.' I thought to myself as I highlight the ad with the red pen I had lying around.

It was 12:46 pm. as I was on my way to the restaurant. I just made the phone call to apply and they told me to come to the restaurant for an interview later today. Guess they need a night shift security guard that badly.

I managed to find a parking spot since the parking lot was infested with police cars around the building. The doors were covered in caution tape as there were investigators there as well. Investigating the crime scene.

'What the hell happened here?' I thought before I felt a hand touch my shoulder. I turned around and see a dirty blond-haired man, maybe in his thirties, wearing a suit with a silver Freddie Fazbear badge with the person's name on it: 'Marcus Barlowe'.

"Hello. I'm guessing you must be the guy wanting the night guard position?" Marcus guessed.

"Yes, I am. Name's Mike, Mike Schmidt." I introduced myself.

"Perfect, let's begin your interview in my office. Follow me."

I followed him to the side of the building and found an emergency exit leading to the break room. I was about to ask where are we going. But he must've heard my thoughts and answered.

"I'm sorry with the police as a first impression about this place. But we've had an incident recently and the pizzeria will be closed for maybe a week or two. I'll explain more once we get into my office." Marcus explained.

I only nodded in response as we continued our venture to his office. I just want to get this done and over with.

We exited the breakroom and entered what appeared to be the main dining area. The whole place was decorated with purple, blue, and green balloons tied to the multiple rows of dining tables. There were even stars hanging over the ceiling. I wasn't able to captivate everything in the area as we finally reached the manager's office.

"Please have a seat, Mr. Schmidt," Marcus said.

As soon as I sat down, Marcus closed the door and came around the desk, and sat down.

"Alright, Mr. Schmidt. Let's get introductions in order. My Marcus Barlowe, but you can just call me Marcus if you prefer. And I'm the manager of this establishment."

"Nice to meet you, Sir."

"So tell me, Why did you choose to work in a nightguard position?" Marcus started the interview.

"Well, it's actually because it was the only job position available right now. Since I've been fired from my last job. And it pays well that I might be able to afford rent of the small apartment I'm living in."

"Ok, next question. Have you had any experience of being a security guard?"

"Well, I have been a security guard before, only once. At the old Freddy Fazbear establishments."

"Ah, those other restaurants from the 90's?"

"Yeah, but it was only for a few days."

'Which is for the best…' I thought to myself, I still remember having to take that dreadful job in the original Freddy's. No matter how many times I tried to forget my experience there, it keeps coming back to haunt me every night. This is also the reason why I've been lacking any sleep. Marcus must've felt a bit unnerved at my sudden silence.

Marcus cleared his throat, "Alright, next question: Do you have any criminal record?"

"No sir."

"Have you ever taken any drugs?"

"Nope, I'm as clean as the ocean."

"Do take any alcohol?"

I'm pretty sure he saw right threw me since I recently stopped drinking. Not wanting to make the same mistake again.

"I've… been trying to stay off of alcoholic beverages."

"So much for being clean huh?"

"Ehe, yeah."

"Alright. All you need to do is filled out this questionnaire and then we're done." Marcus said as he hands me a one-page questionnaire. The questions were easy for me to answer. But some questions have left me… concerned? Nah, maybe I'm just paranoid.

"Okay, done."

"Perfect, I'll see you later tonight," Marcus said, which caught me off guard from what he just said.

"W-w-wait? Tonight?! Does that mean I get the job? Simple as that?!" I exclaimed, looking a bit shocked.

"Of course! Well… technically we don't give them the job right on the bat, but with the state that the Pizzeria is in and that we've recently had our previous night guard working for the dayshift when we open again, we could really use a night guard at this time. Just so that nothing gets stolen." Marcus explained.

For some reason, he said that last bit so suddenly. Like I wouldn't get what he said and add a bit of context to it. And he sounded nervous too.

"Alright, I understand," I said.

"Great! Your uniform will be at your locker. I'll see you later tonight to show you the ropes." Marcus said before he stretch out his hand. I stretch mine and we both held on to a handshake.

I say goodbye to my new boss and left his office. I was not expecting to get the job so quickly and easily. Huh, I guess my life is starting to be better.

I was interrupted from my thoughts as I felt a cold shiver down my spine. Almost like I had sharp eyes glaring at me from behind. I turned around only to see the three female star attractions on the stage, shut down.

And yes, all of them are girls as I expected.

The first one was a brown bear wearing a black tuxedo suit with a white buttoned undershirt and black pants. She has a top hat with a red strap, a red bowtie, and a pair of black shoes with white shoelaces.

The one on her right was a purple bunny wearing a green shirt with white stripes and black shorts. She also has a red bowtie, a pair of black cuffs on her wrists with spikes, and black shoes, similar to Freddie's, but has a white tip of her shoes, and she has a white cotton bunny tail. I'm guessing her name is Bonnie.

And finally, on Freddie's left, there's a yellow… chicken? Yeah, I barely recognized her as a chicken with the lack of features on her. The only thing I could maybe distinguish it is with her tail that was hidden from where I'm standing. She wears a short grey shirt with a white bib that said, 'LET'S PARTY!' in bold yellow words, and she also has black shorts just like Bonnie. She also sports a black wrist band on her left wrist, yellow and orange striped high socks, and pink and white shoes.

All of them had these large cables hooked up under their shirts. I'm guessing that they must be charging for the night. But I could've sworn that someone was watching me. Guess I'm just being paranoid…

…Right?

Here you go! Another FNiA fanfic. Yes, I have a lot of fanfics to work on for them to be completed, but I want to make new fanfics to at least have more content for you guys to enjoy.

I love FNiA Reborn and I can consider it as one of the best remakes I've ever played. I have yet to beat night five since it's hard as hell, but I will beat it someday. It is completely different than any other fnia content I've ever seen. It's more in line with FNaF 1 and I love it.

And yes, I know the title of this story can be misleading and I might change it someday in the future. Also, this fanfic is gonna have a connection to FNaF, taking place after FNaF 1 several years ago.

And I also, there has been something popping out on the internet lately. A certain movie design that has returned after 3 years, in a movie I would never expect for him to show up not as a cameo, BUT AS PART OF THE PLOT.

THAT'S RIGHT, UGLY SONIC HAS RETURNED IN THE NEW RESCUE RANGERS FILM! AND HE LOOKS MORE HORRIFYING THAN BEFORE!

I can believe that this is real. I still can't believe it. I might have to watch this movie because I heard it's very good.

Anyways that's all for me today. I'll be posting more chapters soon. I was actually surprised I was able to make this chapter in just a few days. I'll see you guys next time.

BYE!
