Rory and Aoki stepped into the gym, greeted by the sight of rock-like walls and dusty platforms. The two had spend god knows how long training their pokemon among the various routes, and now they get to see the results of their handywork. As they walked further inside, they were approached by one of the trainers, a young man in a construction vest with a hard hat slightly askew.

"You've come to challenge the Pewter City Gym, huh?" he said with a grin that showed very little teeth. "Before you get to Gravel and Flint, you've gotta prove you can handle the rocks we throw at you. Let's see what you've got!"

Rory and Aoki exchanged determined looks before stepping into the battle arena. The trainer tossed out his Pokéball, releasing a Rhyhorn, its rocky body gleaming under the gym's overhead lights. A second trainer appeared beside him, joining the battle with a Nosepass, the stone-faced Pokémon looming over the arena.

"Rhyhorn, start with Rock Blast!" the first trainer shouted, while the second added, "Nosepass, use Rock Throw!"

Rhyhorn lowered its head and fired a series of sharp rocks toward Aoki's Blaze, while Nosepass launched large boulders at Silver.

Aoki didn't waste a second. "Blaze, dodge and use Flame Charge!"

Blaze darted to the side, narrowly avoiding the Rock Blast before engulfing itself in flames and charging straight toward Rhyhorn. The impact of the Flame Charge sent Rhyhorn sliding back slightly, though it remained standing.

"Silver, Quick Attack!" Rory shouted.

Silver zipped forward, weaving between the falling rocks from Nosepass's Rock Throw. With a burst of speed, Silver struck Nosepass directly, but the sturdy Pokémon barely budged, its rocky body absorbing the hit.

"Rhyhorn, Bulldoze!" the first trainer yelled.

Rhyhorn stomped its feet, causing the ground to shake violently. The tremor knocked Blaze off balance, sending it tumbling backward.

"Blaze, get up! Use Rock Smash!" Aoki called out.

Blaze shook off the dust and rushed forward, delivering a powerful Rock Smash to Rhyhorn's side. The attack hit hard, and Rhyhorn groaned before collapsing under the weight of its injuries.

"Rhyhorn is unable to battle!" the referee called out.

The first trainer grimaced and recalled his fallen Rhyhorn. "Not bad, but let's see how you handle more of us!"

Another trainer stepped up, releasing a Graveler into the arena.

Meanwhile, Rory focused on Nosepass. "Silver, use Water Pulse!"

Silver formed an orb of water between its hands and fired it directly at Nosepass. The water struck Nosepass head-on, soaking the Rock-type and dealing significant damage. Nosepass wobbled on its feet, clearly weakened.

"Nosepass, Thunder Wave!" the second trainer ordered.

Nosepass managed to summon a weak electric pulse, sending it toward Silver. The electric charge struck Silver, paralyzing the Froakie and slowing its movements.

"Come on, Silver, shake it off!" Rory urged.

But before Silver could recover, the trainer with Graveler gave his command. "Graveler, Rollout!"

Graveler curled up into a ball and began rolling toward Silver at high speed, gaining momentum as it moved.

"Aoki, I need a hand!" Rory called out, his eyes fixed on the rapidly approaching Graveler.

Aoki nodded, her mind working fast. "Blaze, intercept Graveler with Flame Charge!"

Blaze surged forward, flames enveloping its small body as it collided with Graveler mid-Rollout. The impact was enough to stop Graveler's momentum, and the two Pokémon were locked in a pushing battle, each trying to overpower the other.

"Now, Silver! Use Water Pulse on Graveler!" Rory shouted.

With Graveler's attention split between Blaze and Silver, the Froakie had just enough time to summon another Water Pulse. The orb of water slammed into Graveler, sending it rolling backward as it was drenched by the super-effective attack. Graveler groaned before fainting, unable to continue.

"Graveler is unable to battle!" the referee called.

"Silver, hang in there!" Rory shouted as Silver struggled to move through its paralysis.

With Graveler down, Rory and Aoki refocused on the weakened Nosepass. Aoki saw her opportunity. "Blaze, finish it off with another Rock Smash!"

Blaze charged forward once more, its hoof glowing with power as it slammed into Nosepass. The blow shattered Nosepass's defenses, and the Pokémon fell to the ground, defeated.

"Nosepass is unable to battle!" the referee called.

The trainers grimaced and reluctantly recalled their defeated Pokémon. "You guys are tougher than you look," one of them muttered. "But Gravel and Flint won't go easy on you."

Rory smiled, relieved but focused. "We'll be ready for them."

With the preliminary battles out of the way, Rory and Aoki looked at each other with a shared sense of accomplishment. The first phase of their gym challenge was complete, but they knew that the real test was right ahead.

Rory and Aoki stood across from Gravel and Flint, their hearts racing as they prepared for the double battle. They had trained hard for this moment, but Gravel's reputation as a gym leader and Flint's expertise made the challenge all the more intimidating.

Gravel cracked his knuckles, his grizzled voice booming across the gym. "Alright, you two. You've made it this far. Let's see if you've got what it takes to break through our defenses. Don't hold back, because we sure won't."

Flint, standing by his father's side, grinned. "We'll start strong. Don't think this will be easy!"

The battle began with Gravel releasing his first Pokémon, Tyrunt, the ancient Rock/Dragon Pokémon. Flint followed suit, tossing out his Geodude, its rocky body gleaming under the gym's lights.

"Let's do this, Silver!" Rory shouted, sending out his trusty Froakie, who landed nimbly on the rocky battlefield.

Aoki stepped forward, calling out her fiery companion. "Blaze, you're up!" Blaze landed beside Silver, their eyes gleaming with determination.

Gravel smirked, his eyes focused. "Tyrunt, start with Crunch on Froakie!"

Flint raised his hand, his voice firm. "Geodude, use Rock Throw on Tepig!"

Tyrunt lunged forward, its jaws glowing with a dark energy as it snapped toward Silver. At the same time, Geodude hurled chunks of rock at Blaze, forcing both Rory and Aoki to react quickly.

"Silver, dodge and use Water Pulse on Tyrunt!" Rory called.

"Avoid it, Blaze! Then use Rock Smash on Geodude!" Aoki commanded.

Silver nimbly leaped to the side, narrowly avoiding Tyrunt's Crunch attack. He quickly countered with a powerful Water Pulse, sending a blast of water directly at Tyrunt. The ancient Pokémon staggered, roaring in surprise as the water sapped its strength.

Blaze, meanwhile, dodged the falling rocks from Geodude's attack and charged forward, his body glowing as he delivered a swift Rock Smash to Geodude. The impact was fierce, and Geodude was sent tumbling backward, clearly weakened.

"Geodude, hang in there!" Flint called out, his brow furrowing.

"Tyrunt, don't let them get the upper hand! Use Dragon Tail!" Gravel ordered.

Tyrunt swung its powerful tail, glowing with draconic energy, aiming to strike Silver. Rory's eyes widened as the attack came in fast. "Silver, quick! Use Double Team to dodge!"

Silver split into multiple copies of itself, confusing Tyrunt, who missed its target completely. Meanwhile, Blaze delivered another Rock Smash to Geodude, knocking it out.

"Geodude is unable to battle!" the referee announced.

Flint gritted his teeth and recalled Geodude, replacing it with Carbink, its body glittering like a gemstone.

"Looks like it's my turn to step up," Flint said with a smirk.

"Well done," Gravel said, recalling Tyrunt. "But the real test begins now. Terrastone, let's finish this!" He sent out his Terrastone, a massive Rock/Fighting-type Pokémon. Its hulking form radiated strength, its stone fists cracking as it stepped forward.

Terrastone

Type: Rock/Fighting

Description: Terrastone is a hulking Pokémon that appears to be made entirely of large, jagged boulders fused together through immense pressure. Its powerful arms and legs are covered in rough, rocky armor, and its strength is legendary. Despite its massive size, Terrastone is surprisingly agile, using its raw power and Fighting-type abilities to dominate its foes. It's often found in rugged, mountainous regions, acting as a guardian of the land.

Pokedex Entry: "Terrastone's body is composed of ancient stones, hardened over millennia. It uses its tremendous strength to defend mountain ranges and natural rock formations from intruders. Legends say that Terrastone's punches can shatter mountains, and it's capable of creating earthquakes with a single stomp."

"That thing looks tough," Rory muttered, eyeing the powerful Pokémon.

"We can handle it," Aoki said, her eyes fixed on Terrastone. "Blaze, we've still got Rock Smash! Let's bring it down!"

"Blaze, use Rock Smash on Terrastone!" Aoki shouted.

Blaze charged forward, aiming for Terrastone's massive frame. But Gravel was ready.

"Terrastone, block it with Bulk Up!"

Terrastone flexed its powerful arms, its muscles hardening as Blaze's Rock Smash connected. The blow barely made a dent in the massive Pokémon's defenses, and Blaze was sent skidding back from the impact.

"Silver, we need to keep Carbink busy! Use Water Pulse!" Rory commanded.

Silver launched another Water Pulse at Carbink, but Flint was prepared. "Carbink, use Reflect!"

Carbink's body shimmered as it created a protective barrier, reducing the damage from Silver's Water Pulse. The battle was turning into a war of endurance, and Rory knew they needed to break through fast.

"Terrastone, use Stone Edge!" Gravel shouted, his voice booming.

Terrastone slammed its fists into the ground, sending jagged stones flying toward Blaze and Silver. "Dodge it!" Aoki and Rory called out in unison.

Blaze narrowly avoided the sharp rocks, but Silver was grazed by one of the stones, wincing in pain. The battle was slipping out of their control.

"We need to take down Carbink first!" Rory said, formulating a plan. "Silver, use Quick Attack to get behind Carbink!"

Silver darted forward with blinding speed, zipping around Carbink's Reflect barrier.

"Now, Water Pulse!" Rory commanded.

Silver launched Water Pulse at close range, bypassing Carbink's defenses and landing a direct hit. Carbink wobbled, struggling to stay upright.

"Blaze, now's your chance! Finish it with Rock Smash!" Aoki shouted.

Blaze charged at Carbink, landing a powerful Rock Smash that shattered its defenses. Carbink fainted, leaving Flint with no Pokémon left.

"Carbink is unable to battle!" the referee declared.

Flint sighed and smiled. "Well, looks like Dad's got this now."

With Carbink down, the focus shifted to Terrastone. Gravel's eyes gleamed with confidence as his Terrastone loomed over the battlefield. "It's not over yet. Terrastone, use Dynamic Punch!"

Terrastone charged toward Blaze, its fist glowing with intense power. "Blaze, get out of there!" Aoki shouted.

But Blaze was too slow to dodge. The Dynamic Punch connected, sending Blaze flying backward. Aoki's Tepig fainted on impact.

"Blaze is unable to battle!" the referee announced.

Aoki clenched her fists, recalling Blaze. "You've got this, Rory."

Rory nodded, his eyes locked on Terrastone. "Silver, one last push! Use Water Pulse!"

Silver launched his final Water Pulse, and this time, it connected with full force. Terrastone staggered, weakened by the repeated hits. Rory saw his chance.

"Finish it, Silver! Quick Attack!"

Silver dashed forward, striking Terrastone with a final blow. The massive Pokémon groaned before collapsing, defeated.

"Terrastone is unable to battle! The winners are Rory and Aoki!" the referee announced.

Gravel smiled, recalling Terrastone. "Well done, kids. You've earned this victory."

Flint nodded in agreement. "You both did great. That was a tough fight."

Rory and Aoki shared a triumphant look, their teamwork and determination having paid off. They had beaten Gravel and Flint, proving their strength in the Pewter City Gym. As Gravel passed them their badges a sence of pride washed over the two as they planned their next trip.
