The first words out of Luna's mouth as she spun around the dance floor with Harry weren't ones he expected, but they still rang true.
"You're a horrible dancer." He snorted and spun her again.
"I don't mind, you know. Uncoordination keeps away snerkles and that's very beneficial. They attract simple minds." She continued, moving to spin Harry this time. "And it's quite fun to be the knowledgeable expert about something for once."
"You know, I like that, Luna. You can be the better one between us and maybe I'll learn to be a better dance partner someday now that the war's over and I can focus on regular person stuff."
"I'd like that. These shoes already aren't very comfortable." Luna commented in her usual flighty tone.
Harry gave her a mischievous smile. "Why don't we take off our shoes? That'd probably make dancing easier."
Luna grinned. "Oh yes, that sounds like fun."
They stopped in the middle of the Ministry ballroom and kicked off their shoes simultaneously. They got stared at by everyone around them, but no one wanted to be the one to reprimand the Savior so they kept quiet and kept dancing.
Luna and Harry paid them no mind and began to dance freely, spinning each other and Harry doing lifts and dips with Luna.
They laughed carefreely. The war was over and dancing horribly and sillily was the best Harry had felt in years.
