BTWF Octane (July Week 2)
Jerry Lewis, the manager of the Totally Spies, was walking down the hallway, before backstage interviewer Sheska ran up to him with a microphone in her hand.
"Excuse me, Mr. Lewis? I wanted to ask you about what happened last week," Sheska said, putting the microphone under Jerry's mouth. Jerry looked at the microphone and took a few deep breaths before responding.
"Everything will become clear later tonight," was all Jerry said before he walked away despite Sheska trying to follow him for more information. The camera then panned to the ring, where the crowd was cheering before the camera turned to the commentary table.
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Richmond, Virginia, where we are here in front of a sold out capacity crowd. I'm Jim Cornette alongside Beth Vanderwood, and…wait a minute! Squidward? When did you get the new face, it looks good on you," Cornette joked, as he looked at Rintaro Okabe, who chuckled at Cornette's joke.
"Thank you for that little intro Jim. I'm Rintaro Okabe, and we have an amazing show planned for the fans tonight, don't we?" Okabe asked.
"Yes we do! We have World Women's Champion Rei Ayanami going up against Jiro Kyoka, who is still debating on which show to be a part of full time," Beth explained as Cornette continued.
"We also have, in our main event, Shoto Todoroki and Soul Eater Evans in the third match in their Best of 5 series where the winner will become the #1 contender for the BTWF Championship," Cornette explained.
"We also have a contract signing for the BTWF title match between Natsu Dragoneel and Kaworu Nagisa, where Kaworu has added the stipulation where if there is any interference on behalf of Natsu, he will be rewarded the BTWF title," Okabe continued, before 'Outlet' (Pete Corvus' theme song) plays.
"The following contest is an 8 man tag team match scheduled for one fall. Making their way to the ring, Pete Corvus, the Hollywood Hooligan, and the Age of Aggression, Joe Wolf and Charlie Bonifer!" Justin Roberts announced as Corvus led the team to the ring with Black Star's Hardcore title around his waist.
"And Pete Corvus still has the Hardcore title around his waist, which he stole from the rightful Hardcore Champion, Black Star," Cornette explained, as Corvus got into the ring, and patted the Hardcore title, as the crowd booed. The Age of Aggression came into the ring, and yelled at the booing fans, while Hooligan started passing out autographed pictures of himself to the fans at ringside.
"And we get to see more of three other former GTS superstars, Charlie Bonifer, Joe Wolf, and the Hollywood Hooligan," Okabe said, as Primo's theme song from 2010 played, as Valentino Clavara, Arnold Jackson, Denki Kaminari, and Eijiro Kirishima came out to the ring, hi-fiving fans.
"And their opponents, the team of Denki Kaminari, Eijiro Kirishima, Valentino Clavara, and Arnold Jackson!" Justin Roberts announced, before the team entered the ring and stared down Pete's team. Arnold Jackson and Hollywood Hooligan started the match off before the bell rang. Hooligan and Arnold went to the center of the ring, where they locked up, but Hooligan pushed Arnold away and slapped him in the face.
"The cockiness of the Hollywood Hooligan on full display," Beth observed, before Arnold turned Hooligan back around, and hit him with several punches in the face before sending him down with a scoop slam.
"Well if you're a Hollywood star like he is, why wouldn't you be a little cocky?" Okabe asked, as Hooligan pushed Arnold away while flat on his back with his feet.
"Well it cost Hooligan the advantage in the match, so maybe that's why you shouldn't be too cocky this early in the match," Cornette responded, as Hooligan got up, kicked Arnold in the gut, dragged him to the corner, before tagging in Joe Wolf. The two of them punched Arnold in the gut and Joe put Arnold in a headlock. Arnold was able to walk to his corner, and tag in Valentino, who hit Joe with a back suplex, allowing Arnold to escape the headlock. Val then hit an elbow drop on Joe before going for a pin.
Ref: 1…
Joe kicked out, and Val picked Joe up and hit him with a scoop slam before picking him up and throwing him head first into the turnbuckle. When Val goes to pick Joe up, he sees Bonifer attempting to come into the ring to help Joe, so Val responded with a clothesline sending Bonifer to the floor. Joe took advantage with a flying knee to the back before tagging Corvus into the match. Corvus clubbed Val in the back before hitting a DDT, before going for the pin.
Ref: 1…
Val kicked out, and Corvus hit a couple of elbow drops onto him, along with a senton to the back.
"And this is the first bit of in ring action for Pete Corvus, and he is showing his in ring savvy by waiting until Val is down to get into the match," Okabe explained, as Cornette rolled his eyes as Corvus picked Val back up and hit a neckbreaker on him.
"Maybe, but he's still one of those hardcore wrestling fucks who worships the ground garbage wrestlers like Jimmy Havoc walk on," Cornette grumbled, as Corvus mounted Val and punched him in the face before screaming at the fans that he is the rightful Hardcore champion. Pete tagged Bonifer back in who also mounted Val and punched him in the face out of anger for being clotheslined out of the ring. Bonifer picked Val up, kicked him in the gut, and hit him with a belly to belly suplex before going for the pin.
Ref: 1…2.
Val kicked out, but Bonifer put Val's arm in a lock, and tagged Joe Wolf into the match, and Joe kicked Val in the arm before putting him in a Fujiwara armbar. Val was able to make it to the ropes, but Joe let the hold go and hit a jumping knee drop to Val's back. Joe attempted to put Val back in the armbar, but Val countered it into an arm wrench clothesline, sending Joe flipping onto the mat.
"And Val finally getting some reprieve!" Okabe exclaimed, as Joe tried to grab Val's leg, but Val was able to jump to the corner, and tag Kaminari into the match.
"And this is our first look at this youngster Kaminari," Cornette explained, as Kaminari hit a double foot stomp onto Joe, and much to the delight of the crowd, knocked Bonifer, Corvus, and Hooligan to the floor, and hit a single leg dropkick onto Joe, as Kirishima ran between the ropes and hit a suicide dive onto a groggy Hollywood Hooligan.
Kaminari picked Joe back up, punched him in the face several times, and hit him with a swinging neckbreaker before hitting a running shooting star press on Joe before going for the pin.
Ref: 1…2
Pete Corvus kicked Kaminari in the head, breaking the pinfall. Arnold tried to attack Corvus, but he was thrown over the top rope, but Arnold landed on his feet, but before he could get back into the ring, Hooligan grabbed his leg, causing Arnold to kick Hooligan in the face and hit a diving double axe handle onto him, before he was taken out by a running big boot by Bonifer. In the chaos, Corvus pulled Joe closer to their corner, before tagging himself in and trading punches with Kaminari, before Pete kneed Kaminari in the gut, ran the ropes, and hit a discus forearm onto Kaminari, before going for the pin.
Ref: 1…2.
"Kaminari showing not only his wrestling ability, but his fighting spirit!" Beth exclaimed as Corvus started arguing with the referee, allowing Bonifer to hit a leg drop to the back of Kaminari's neck, but Val pulled him out of the ring, and the two exchanged blows, before Bonifer threw Val into the barricade. Corvus, noticing the downed Kaminari picked him up for a Package Piledriver and smiled evilly at the fans, who were booing him.
"Oh, now he's gonna try and break this young man's neck!" Cornette yelled, as Corvus hit the Package Piledriver onto Kaminari before going for the pin in a very lackadaisical way, crossing both his arms behind his head as he was pinning Kaminari.

*Bell rings*
"Ladies and gentlemen, here are your winners, the team of Pete Corvus, the Hollywood Hooligan, and the Age of Aggression, Charlie Bonifer and Joe Wolf!" Justin Roberts announced as Corvus grabbed the Hardcore title from the ground and posed with hit while stepping on Kaminari's face.
"Corvus gets his first win here on the BTWF, seemingly on his quest to obtain the Hardcore title," Beth said, as Black Star ran from behind, and kicked Corvus in the face before grabbing the Hardcore title from Corvus's hand, and hit him in the head with it, sending Corvus rolling out of the ring. Black Star climbed the ropes, holding up the Hardcore title, much to the crowd's delight.
"Black Star just gave Corvus a receipt for last week's attack!" Okabe exclaimed, as Black Star left the ring with his title back around his shoulder, as Corvus started yelling at him while holding his head. The camera then panned backstage to where Shoto Todoroki was staring at the camera with a blank stare. Next to him was Matt Striker with a microphone in his hand.
"Todoroki, last week, we saw you use the ropes to hit a low blow onto Soul Eater Evans to win your match in seconds. In the main event you will have the third match in your Best of 5 series. Do you have anything to say to Soul before your match?" Striker asked. Todoroki took a few deep breaths before taking the microphone.
"This isn't personal, Soul. This is just business," was all Todoroki said before he gave the microphone back to Striker and left.

Jeff Hardy's theme song played in the arena, as the crowd cheered Mordecai coming down to the ring, hi-fiving fans as he ran underneath the ring.
"The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, from Central Park New York, Mordecai!" Justin Roberts announced, as the crowd cheered Mordecai running to the top rope, posing with the same hand signal as Jeff Hardy.
"In a short moment, we're going to get our first look at the in ring acumen of Mercury Black, the newest member of the NWO who challenged Shinji Ikari for the United States title at Bash at the Beach," Cornette explained before the camera panned to Shinji sitting in a chair, holding his United States title with both of his hands underneath his chin, with no headset on and his eyes dead focused on the ring.
"And we have the United States champion right next to us with the motive of scouting his future opponent," Beth explained, before "We are One" by 12 Stones played, as Mercury Black came out with a hooded jacket accompanied by Riley Freeman, Double D, and Finn. Black then sprung his head up, taking off the hood, causing fireworks to go off.
"And his opponent, representing and accompanied by the NWO, Mercury Black!" Justin Roberts announced as Mercury springboarded into the ring with the three NWO members applauding him. When the bell rang, Mercury teased a test of strength, which Mordecai gave some thought to, but Mercury started kicking Mordecai in the leg, and hit him with a hip toss and a dropkick to the back of the head. Mercury turned to Shinji and made the 'title around my waist' motion, before he tried to grab Mordecai's leg, who countered it into a small package.
Ref: 1…2
Mercury got back up, and Mordecai hit him with several punches to the face, a reverse atomic drop, and a sit out jawbreaker, causing Mercury to stagger into the corner. Mordecai ran to the corner and hot a corner clothesline onto Mercury before hitting him with a Gourdbuster. Mordecai ran the ropes and hit a running splash onto Mercury before picking him back up again, and attempted another reverse atomic drop, but Mercury countered it with several elbows to the back of the head and the neck.
"And Mercury showcasing his aggression with these elbows to the head," Cornette explained, as Mercury kneed Mordecai in the gut, but when he tried to hit a neckbreaker, Mordecai pushed Mercury away, and hit a clothesline on him before going for the pin.
Ref: 1…2
Mordecai picked Mercury back up, but Mercury hit several punches to Mordecai's stomach, and when Mordecai bent over, Mercury hit an AJ Styles style Pele Kick and mounted him with elbows when Mordecai fell down due to the kick. Mercury then ran the ropes and hit multiple leg drops onto Mordecai's neck. Mercury then turned Mordecai on his stomach, and hit several more leg drops to the back of his neck.
"Well, Mordecai's neck has to be feeling bad after all these leg drops," Okabe said, as while Mordecai was trying to pull himself back up, Mercury hit a knee drop to the back of Mordecai's head while he was kneeling on all fours. Mercury turned Mordecai around and went for a pin.
Ref: 1…2
Mordecai rolled his shoulder out, and Mercury picked Mordecai up by his sleeveless T-Shirt and hit him with an Ushigaroshi, before putting Mordecai in a sitting position, and ran the ropes to hit a running forearm before going for another pin.
Ref: 1…2
Mordecai kicked out, causing Mercury to stomp on Mordecai before jaw-jacking with Shinji again, who continued to glare at him. Mercury hit several pendulum elbow drops onto Mordecai's chest, before hitting him with a standing corkscrew senton and then a seated abdominal stretch.
"Mercury really is showing his wrestling ability in this match. Not only can he do all these athletic high flying moves, but he can also strike like an MMA fighter and can mat wrestle with the best of them," Cornette explained, as Mercury elbowed Mordecai in the head when Mordecai told the referee that he wouldn't tap out.
"Showing why he deserves to be the #1 contender for the United States title at Bash at the Beach," Beth explained, as Mordecai was able to get back on his feet, and hip toss Mercury off of him. Mordecai ran the ropes, and attempted another body press, but Mercury rolled out of the way, went to the 2nd rope, and came off with a knee to the small of the back, before locking Mordecai in a chin lock.
"And Mercury able to take back the advantage, going after the neck he worked on earlier in the match," Okabe explained, as Mercury took a break from the chinlock to rub his face in the mat, before putting the chinlock back on. All the while, Shinji was still staring at the action in the ring, paying no mind to the rest of the NWO at ringside, and glaring intently at Mercury who was laughing and yelling at the booing fans.
"And Shinji is documenting every move that Mercury is making in his mind," Beth explained, as Mordecai was able to headbutt his way out of the chinlock, before staggering to the corner, holding his aching neck. Mercury ran at Mordecai with a clothesline, but Mordecai was able to move, causing Mercury to hit his head on the top turnbuckle, before rolling him up.
Ref: 1…2
Mercury kicked out, but Mordecai was already standing as Mordecai hit two clotheslines, a flying elbow, a hurricanrana, and a double leg drop to the stomach. Mordecai started clapping, which got the fans to clap along as well, before he went to the top rope as Mercury was starting to get up, and hit him with the Whisper in the Wind before going for another pin.
Ref: 1…2
"Mordecai has finally gotten his groove back in this match," Cornette explained, as Mordecai went back up to the top rope, and took his shirt off, throwing it at the members of the NWO on the ground.
"Well as unnecessary as that was, that was pretty funny," Beth chuckled, as Mordecai dove for a Swanton, but Mercury was able to dodge, causing Mordecai to hit the mat back first.
"Ouch! That can't be good for his neck or back," Okabe cringed, as Mercury went to the top rope himself and hit a Spiral Tap to the back of Mordecai, before he picked up an unconscious Mordecai and hit him with a Styles Clash before rolling him into a pinning position.

"Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner, representing the NWO, Mercury Black!" Justin Roberts announced, as the referee raised Mercury's hand up. Shinji stood up from his chair, and raised his title up as Mercury smirked at him with the rest of the NWO celebrating around him.
"Well if it wasn't clear last week, Mercury now has Shinji Ikari's undivided attention," Cornette explained, as Shinji walked away from the ringside area, still glaring at Mercury, while the rest of the NWO were continuing to celebrate.
"With that performance in the ring, Mercury is going to be a big challenge for Shinji at Bash at the Beach," Beth explained, as the camera panned backstage, to an interview site with Alex Vasquez standing next to Todd Grisham.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, Alex Vasquez," Todd introduced, as the crowd cheered at the mention of Alex's name. "Now Alex, last week, not only did Clover betray the Totally Spies by attacking Sam, but you were beaten down by the entire Sisterhood of Darkness," Todd said, as Alex took a few deep breaths and nodded.
"I will deal with Clover at another time, Sam is going to handle her at Bash at the Beach. Right now, Sherry and the rest of her group of creeps are marked women. They made a mistake thinking that they were going to keep me down after one attack, so I promise that I will end the Sisterhood of Darkness, and show them the light!" Alex exclaimed, as when the camera panned further to the right, they saw Homer Simpson and Owen brawling with each other. Mr. Enter was following them. Homer turned around and pushed Mr. Enter into some boxes before hitting a Hangover (KO Punch) onto Owen and throwing him into the wall.
"Sorry for interrupting," Homer said, as he walked off with a smile on his face.
"Anyway…Alex, you're only one woman, how do you expect to take on a full group like the Sisterhood of Darkness?" Todd asked.
"I don't care about the odds. One way or another, I'm going to take them down, and once I do that, I'm going after Clover!" Alex exclaimed before she walked off, with the camera panning to a commercial.

The camera pans to the entrance way, where Legacy's theme song started to play, with Sting and Rogue coming out, with the crowd booing them.
"The following contest is scheduled for one fall, making his way to the ring, accompanied by Rogue and representing the Legacy, from Magnolia, Fiore, Sting!" Justin Roberts announced, as the crowd continued to boo the group of cocky upstarts.
"If you ever listened to these two guys talk, you'd think that they were the modern day Rock N' Roll Express," Cornette said, as Rogue and Sting hi-fived each other in the ring, with Sting taking off his jacket.
"Why would you want to talk to those two?" Beth asked, as "We Are One" by 12 Stones played again, as Sheldon and Naruto came out to a mixed reception from the crowd.
"And his opponent, representing the NWO and accompanied by Sheldon Lee, he is one half of the BTWF World Tag Team Champions, Naruto!" Justin Robert announced as Naruto went into the ring while Sheldon Lee was cheering him on from the outside. The bell rang, and Sting and Naruto locked up in the middle of the ring, with Naruto able to put Sting in a headlock. Sting was able to counter out of the headlock pushing Naruto in the back and raising both his arms up.
"The ego of Sting can fill this entire building," Okabe quipped, before Naruto turned Sting around and hit him with several punches to the face before throwing Sting out of the ring. Sting tried to come back into the ring, but Naruto hit a standing dropkick on Sting, sending him back out of the ring. Naruto attempted to run for a suicide dive, but Rogue blocked his way, much to the chagrin of the crowd. Naruto and Sheldon started yelling at Rogue, who laughed at them, while Sting snuck his way back into the ring, hitting a clothesline to the back of Naruto's head, sending him to a knee.
"They may be egotistical, but they have the teamwork of multiple time tag team champions," Beth explained, as Sting picked Naruto up by the hair, and put him into the corner, stomping on him in the corner, before hitting him with several punches before he hit him with a snap suplex. Sting ran the ropes and tried to hit a knee drop, but Naruto was able to move, and hit a few punches to the head of Sting before he hit Sting with a back suplex Facebuster before going for the pin.
Ref: 1…
Sting kicked out and tried to grab Naruto for a small package, but Naruto countered it into a scoop slam before he ran the ropes and hit a jumping elbow drop onto Sting. Naruto went to the 2nd rope, but Rogue got on the apron, and attempted to distract him, but Sheldon pulled Rogue down, and traded punches with each other. Naruto saw that Sting was still down, and decided to climb up to the top rope.
"Wait…what is Naruto thinking here?" Okabe asked, as Naruto turned to where Rogue and Sheldon were fighting.
"I think he's planning on breaking up this fight his own way!" Beth exclaimed as Naruto hit a cannonball senton from the top rope, and hit Rogue after Sheldon pushed him in the way.
"And Naruto with that senton off the top, knocking Rogue out of commission!" Cornette exclaimed as Naruto made his way back into the ring. Naruto went to pick Sting up, but Sting hit Naruto with a knee to the gut and ran the ropes, but was tripped up by Sheldon while the referee checked on Naruto.
"And some payback from what happened last week!" Okabe exclaimed, as Sting swiped at Sheldon on the outside, before Naruto hit Sting with a knee to the back, and hit him with the Omega Driver, before going for the pin.

"Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner, representing the NWO, he is one half of the BTWF World Tag Team Champions, Naruto!" Justin Roberts announced, as the crowd gave both he and Sheldon a mixed reaction as they celebrated in the ring.
"An eye for an eye allowing Naruto to pick up the win against Sting," Cornette explained, as Rogue pulled an unconscious Sting out of the ring, and dragged him up the ramp while Sheldon and Naruto continued to celebrate, clinking their tag titles together before raising the belts over their head to another mixed reaction.
"The relationship between the NWO and the Legacy continues to diminish as the competitive nature and the ego of the teams involved becomes too much," Beth explained, as Rogue started mouthing off to the two champions while still carrying a semi-conscious Sting with his right arm. The camera panned backstage to Arthur Morgan and Tanya von Degurechaff's office, just as someone knocked on the office door.
"Come in," Tanya responded before Natsu Dragoneel came through the door with the BTWF title slung over his shoulder with an annoyed look on his face.
"Hey guys, I was looking around for Kaworu. We're supposed to have our contract signing soon," Natsu said. Arthur sighed before taking a piece of paper out of the folder in front of him and gave it to Natsu. "What's this?"
"It's your contract for the BTWF title match at Bash at the Beach. Kaworu said that he's not coming to the show this week," Arthur confessed, with annoyance and disappointment in both his voice and his face.
"WHAT!?" Natsu exclaimed, also extremely annoyed at Kaworu's absence.
"He said that he's taking a week off for 'stress relief', and that he would be back next week," Tanya explained. Natsu took a look at the contract, seeing Kaworu's signature already on it. He sighed, grabbed a pen from Arthur's desk, and signed his name on the dotted line.
"If you guys hear from Kaworu again, let him know that I'll be waiting for him to give him a nice welcome back next week," Natsu said, as he gave the contract back to Arthur and stomped out of the office, before the camera panned to another commercial.

When the commercial break finished, the camera panned to the interview area again, where Matt Striker was standing next to Soul Eater Evans.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, Soul Eater Evans," Striker introduced as the crowd cheered. "Now Soul, we heard what Todoroki had to say about last week's match. Do you have any response to him?" Striker asked.
"You know, I had a feeling that this wasn't personal. I know that Todoroki wants to win the BTWF title as much as I do, but that doesn't mean that I'm going to let him get away with what he pulled last week," Soul responded, as Matt nodded before bringing the microphone back under his mouth.
"You match is the main event tonight, do you have any strategy going into this match?" Striker asked.
"I'm going to keep my eyes peeled on Todoroki. I know the kind of things desperation can do to a man, and I won't hesitate to beat the desperation out of him if he plays dirty," Soul responded before leaving the interview area. The camera panned to the ring where Jiro Kyoka is in the ring stretching in the corner.
"The following contest is scheduled for one fall. In the ring, from Tokyo Japan, Jiro Kyoka!" Justin Roberts announced as the crowd gave a mixed reaction to Jiro, who looked around at the crowd before continuing her stretches. "Shatter Me" by Lindsey Sterling and Lzzy Hale played, as Rei came out accompanied by the crowd's white hot cheers in her blue robe.
"And her opponent, from Tokyo Japan, she is the BTWF World Women's champion, Rei Ayanami!" Justin Roberts announced as Rei gave her title to the referee and extended her hand to Jiro. Jiro pushed Rei's hand away and started yelling in her face. Rei smirked at Jiro's yelling, before knocking her down with a right jab to the face.
"And Rei starting this match with a bang!" Cornette explained, as the referee rang the bell.
"Don't you mean with a bop and a bang?" Beth asked with a smile on her face, causing Cornette to roll his eyes after chuckling. Rei started kicking Jiro in the leg before hitting her with a hurricanrana and started clubbing her with punches. The referee pulled Rei off of Jiro, but Rei was able to hit a running headbutt to the stomach of Jiro before going for a pin.
Ref: 1…
Jiro kicked out and rolled out of the ring, but Rei immediately ran and hit a suicide dive onto Jiro, before throwing her back into the ring. Rei soaked in the crowd's cheers before she got onto the apron and attempted a springboard dropkick, but Jiro moved causing Rei to miss. When Rei tried to turn around to attack Jiro, Jiro countered her with en enziguri to the head.
"And Jiro able to take control with a strong kick to the head!" Cornette exclaimed as Jiro started stomping on Rei's body before hitting her with an Insult to Injury.
"And she's definitely keeping the control with those knees to the gut," Okabe continued as Jiro put Rei into the corner and started chopping her in the corner. Rei tried to hit a couple of elbows to Jiro's face, but Jiro hit am knee to the gut and a knee to the face before hitting a scoop slam onto Rei, turning her on her stomach and hitting her with a couple of leg drops to the back of the head. Jiro started yelling at the booing fans before hitting Jiro with a running punt to Rei's chest. Jiro turned Rei around and went for a pin.
Ref: 1…2
Rei kicked out and Jiro immediately put her in a one legged Boston Crab. Rei screamed in pain as she tried to crawl to the ropes. Jiro got to her feet and started stomping on Rei's back before sitting back down and leaning into the Boston Crab even further.
"The aggression of Jiro is truly something to behold," Okabe stated, as Rei was able to make it to the ropes, forcing Jiro to break the hold. Rei rolled out onto the apron, and Jiro tried to grab her by the hair, but Rei pushed Jiro off and hit her with a hotshot. When Jiro staggered further away from the ropes, Rei hit her with a springboard dropkick, before transitioning seemingly flawlessly into a springboard moonsault before going for the pin.
Ref: 1…2.
"And the tenacity of Rei is a perfect counter to Jiro's aggression," Cornette countered, as Rei drug Jiro to the center of the ring, and put her in a cloverleaf with her knee on Jiro's back.
"And now Rei is the one with the submission in on Jiro!" Beth exclaimed as Jiro tried to get her stomach off the ground to alleviate the pain. However, Rei's knee prevented her from doing so. Jiro decided to start elbowing Rei's arms and legs, which caused Rei to loosen the hold, allowing Jiro to escape the hold and hit a shining wizard to the back of her head.
"And Jiro showcasing more of her aggression to escape the submission hold!" Okabe exclaimed before Jiro went to the corner, and took off the turnbuckle pad, revealing the steel turnbuckle. Jiro grabbed Rei by the hair, and threw her into the steel turnbuckle post, just as Zia started sprinting down to the ring. Before Jiro could go for the pin, Zia pointed out the removed turnbuckle pad to the referee.
"Zia, despite her match with Rei for the title at Bash at the Beach, doing the right thing by exposing Jiro's cheating," Beth explained as the referee and Jiro started arguing. The referee grabbed the turnbuckle pad, and attempted to tie it back into the turnbuckle, causing him to miss Rei rolling up Jiro for the pin.
"And 'doing the right thing' may have cost Rei the match," Cornette countered, as Rei pushed Jiro out of the way and started arguing with the referee, before Jiro turned Rei around and hit her with an uppercut to the throat before hitting Rei with a Michinoku Driver. Jiro hooked Rei's legs to make a pinfall.
Ref: 1…2
Outside the ring, Zia was cheering Rei on as Jiro pounded the mat in frustration. Jiro picked Rei up by the hair, and yelled at Zia, before Rei was able to escape her grasp, and hit Jiro with the Wing Clipper. Rather than letting go of Jiro, Rei kept a grip on both of Jiro's arms and put him in a reverse full nelson.
"This is something we've never seen from Rei before! A reverse full nelson trapping Jiro in the center of the ring," Cornette said, as Jiro tried to fight out of it, but eventually had no choice but to tap out.
*Bell rings*
"Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner as a result of a submission, the BTWF World Women's Champion, Rei Ayanami!" Justin Roberts announced as the crowd cheered and Rei grabbed her title from the referee, and raised the title up much to the delight of the crowd.
"Despite some chaos caused by both Jiro and Zia, Rei was able to win against Jiro, debuting a new move in the process," Beth explained as Zia got into the ring and clapped at Rei and her victory. Rei, despite Zia costing her a pinfall, thanked her before patting the Women's title and leaving.
"It's good to see these two still in high spirits ahead of their title match," Okabe stated as Zia left the ring shortly after Rei as Jia was outside of the ring, holding her right arm with an angry look on her face.
"Well folks up next before our main event, we're going to hear from Samantha Simpson, who just last week, was laid out by her former best friend, Clover Lamoreaux," Beth explained as the camera panned to commercial again.
*Commercial Break*
*Commercial Over*
The camera panned to the arena, where "The Devil That you Don't Know" by Tiger Army started playing, as Sam came out, with a pissed off look on her face much to the crowd's delight. In her hands was a microphone, and she rolled into the ring, before her music stopped and she took a few deep breaths.
"You know, I could be out here, crying my eyes out at the fact that my best friend turned her back on the group we've been a part of for years. I could ask her nicely to come out here so we could patch things up and have things return to the good old days. And I was thinking about doing just that, since I've known Clover for so long," Sam started, as the crowd chanted for "Sam" and booed the mention of Clover's name.
"But then I thought to myself 'why'? Why would I do that when I know it's going to be a waste of time? You don't hit someone with a Brainbuster on the announcer's table if you're open to reconciliation. So I want Clover to come out here, and take what she has coming to her!" Sam exclaimed much to the delight of the crowd as Sam focused on the entrance way, occasionally turning to see if anyone was coming from behind. However, instead of Clover coming out, Jerry came out with an apologetic look on his face and a microphone in his hand.
"Samantha, I just wanted to be the first to say that I'm sorry about what happened last week. If I had been there-," Jerry started before Sam cut him off.
"But you weren't, and you left us wide open! Jerry, I don't want to hear from you, I want to hear from the Benedict Arnold herself!" Sam yelled, causing Jerry to sigh before he climbed into the ring.
"You do not want to face Clover while she's in this state, Sam. If she was willing to attack you and leave Alex to those monsters, then she'd be willing to do anything to take you out as well," Jerry explained, but Sam shook her head.
"I don't care. She betrayed the trust she had with me and Alex, and I want to make her see that I won't take this crap lying down!" Sam yelled, before the crowd booed, heralding the arrival of Clover Lamoreaux, who was glaring at Sam with her right hand on her hip, and her left hand carrying a microphone.
"Sam…if you honestly think that I owe you or any of these losers in the audience an explanation, then I must've hit you in the head a little too hard last week," Clover mocked, causing the crowd to boo her even louder.
"I think you do! We've been friends for years Clover, and you just stabbed us in the back like it was nothing!" Sam yelled, while Jerry was trying to keep her in the ring. Clover started walking towards the ring, and headed up the stairs.
"There isn't room in my career for you two! I'm sorry you're offended about that, but everyone with a pair of eyes and a functioning brain know that I'm the star! I've always been the star!" Clover exclaimed as she made it to the apron, continuing to glare at Sam, before she turned to Jerry and smirked. "And I'm not the only one who thinks so," Clover said. Sam started to stomp to Clover, but Jerry turned her around and punched her in the face with a pair of brass knuckles, causing the crowd to boo even louder.
"OH MY GOD!" Cornette exclaimed as Clover made her way to the ring, with her arms outstretched. Jerry gave her a hug, which Clover returned with vigor as the crowd continued to boo. Sam started to stir, before Clover picked her up by the hair, and hit her with a Brainbuster before Jerry raised her hand while Clover put a boot on Sam's face.
"Well now we know why Jerry wasn't there when Clover betrayed the Totally Spies," Okabe stated, as Clover and Jerry left the ring, leaving Sam unconscious in the ring, as some referees came into the ring to check in on Sam.
"If you thought Sam was mad before, she's going to go on a rampage when she wakes up," Beth stated as the camera panned backstage where Jack Korpela was standing next to Zia Simpson.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, Zia Simpson," Jack Korpela introduced as Zia gave the camera a rock and roll hand sign. "Now Zia, you tried to help Rei in her match with Jiro," Jack stated as Zia nodded in response.
"Yeah, because Jiro was trying to cheat and I wanted to stop her. I also wanted to show Rei that she and I are still friends despite me coming after her title," Zia explained as Jack nodded back before he took the microphone back.
"But you almost cost her the match as the referee missed a roll up because of you bringing attention to the exposed turnbuckle," Jack said, as Zia took the microphone back.
"That was an accident. Look, the point is I tried to help Rei, and she accepted it. I know that she would've done the same thing if it were me out there," Zia said before she walked off. The camera panned back to the ring, where Aleister Black's theme song played, as the lights turned down and Shoto Todoroki was sitting down criss cross on the stage. Todoroki shot his eyes open, causing the lights in the arena to turn blue and red, before Todoroki sat back up.
"The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, from Tokyo Japan, Shoto Todoroki!" Justin Roberts announced as Todoroki made his way to the ring, accompanied by the cheers of 90% of the crowd.
"Todoroki is a young man that has given himself the task of procuring the BTWF championship, and as a result has done some things that I know he's not proud of," Cornette explained as Todoroki vaulted into the ring, landing in the ring sitting criss cross, causing the crowd to cheer the feat of athleticism.
"And now the scoreboard is tied at 1 win a piece in this best of 5 series," Beth explained as Todoroki went to the corner and glared at the stage as the lights turned from red and blue to yellow and purple, and the music changed to Johnny Gargano's "Rebel Heart" theme.
"And his opponent, from Death City Nevada, Soul Eater Evans!" Justin Roberts announced as Soul made his way to the ring, hi-fiving fans, while still glaring at Todoroki, who was glaring right back at him. Soul got into the ring, and told the referee to ring the bell, which he did, and when the bell rang, the two locked up with enough force to send the both of them onto the mat.
"And this match has started with one of the most intense lockups I've ever seen!" Okabe exclaimed as Soul was able to take control with a side headlock. Todoroki was able to slip out of it and put Soul into a headlock of his own. Soul punched Todoroki in the gut a couple of times, but Todoroki hit Soul in the face with a punch, keeping the headlock locked in tight. Todoroki kept wrenching in the headlock, before Soul turned and pushed Todoroki into the corner. Todoroki used his hands to prevent himself from colliding with the turnbuckle, but this allowed Soul to free himself from the headlock, before he put his own on Todoroki.
"Soul outsmarting Todoroki on that exchange," Okabe stated as Todoroki hit a back suplex on Soul, who kept the headlock on. Todoroki then hit a chop to Soul's throat, causing Soul to release the hold. Todoroki irish whipped him into the ropes, and hit Soul with multiple kicks to the chest. Todoroki ran for a corner knee, but Soul was able to dodge, and when Todoroki prevented his knee from hitting the turnbuckle and turned around, Soul hit him with a suplex, and went for the pin.

Todoroki kicked out, and went after Soul's arm, but Soul got Todoroki off of him with an arm drag. Todoroki went after Soul again, but was hit with another arm drag in response. Todoroki pounded the mat in frustration, before he ran at Soul, but was able to counter the arm drag into a Fujiawara armbar.
"Todoroki and Soul showing off their chain wrestling skills early on," Beth commented, before Soul maneuvered his body to the point where his foot touched the bottom rope, causing the ref to count Todoroki out. Todoroki let the hold go at the count of three, and picked Soul up to wrench his arm. Soul punched Todoroki a couple of times in the face, before Todoroki dropped Soul arm first onto the canvas, and started stomping on the shoulder blades.
"I think Todoroki has taken full control of this contest by targeting the arm of Soul," Cornette observed, as Todoroki hit a leg drop on Soul's right arm. Todoroki picked Soul up, put him back in the arm wrench, and kicked his elbow a few times before irish whipping Soul into the corner. Todoroki was able to hit the running corner knee strike this time, and hit Soul with a Falcon arrow before going for the pin.

Soul kicked out, and Todoroki immediately locked him in a keylock, repeatedly bashing Soul's elbow with his fists while wrenching in the hold. Soul tried to go to the ropes like he had done when he was trapped in the Fujiwara armbar, but Todoroki started kicking him in the head, allowing Todoroki to drag him back to the center of the ring to keep the pressure locked in. Soul turned on his stomach to punch Todoroki which allowed Soul to get out of the hold.
"I think Soul may have found his second wind!" Okabe exclaimed, as when Todoroki got up, Soul hit him with two clotheslines, a flying elbow, a hurricanrana, and a reverse atomic drop before throwing Todoroki head first into the corner with a Lawn Dart. Soul hit a Side Russian Leg Sweep onto Todoroki before springboarding into a corkscrew moonsault from the 2nd rope, and hitting Todoroki in the gut, before going for the pin.

Todoroki kicked out, and tried to stand up, but Soul responded with a double arm DDT and started mounting Todoroki's back and hit him with repeated elbows to the back of the neck until the referee pulled him off. Todoroki started crawling to the ropes, but Soul immediately followed him and hit him with a Castus clothesline that sent the both of them to the outside, but Soul grabbed Todoroki by the hair and threw his head into the ring barricade multiple times before roaring, which caused the crowd to cheer even more.
"The crowd showing an insane amount of respect and love to both of the athletes in this match," Cornette commented, as the referee reminded Soul that he was about to start counting. That brief distraction allowed Todoroki to push Soul away from him, hit him with the Hot and Cold (Mushroom Stomp) onto the padded concrete floor, and run back into the ring, telling the referee to administer the count, with a tinge of regret in his eyes.

"Todoroki seems willing to take a count out victory here," Okabe stated as Soul was still lying on the floor barely moving.

"Todoroki doesn't look like he wants the match to end this way," Beth pointed out, as Todoroki was in the ring running his hand through his hair, looking at Soul, who had started getting life back in him, with an apologetic expression.

"Well whether he wants it or not, it may end this way given the state Soul is in," Beth responded, as Soul was able to get back on his feet, although still incredibly groggy. Todoroki was looking at Soul, yelling at him to just stay down.

The minute the referee said 9, Soul rocketed into the ring from the bottom rope, causing the crowd to erupt into cheers, while Todoroki looked like he was going to tear his hair out.
"And Soul able to defy all of our expectations and get himself back in the ring to continue this matchup," Cornette explained before Todoroki stomped over to a still groggy Soul, who was lying down stomach first on the canvas. Todoroki put his foot underneath Soul's chin, and picked him up by the chin to hit him with a Black Mass, but Soul was able to counter the kick by grabbing his foot, and picking up Todoroki in a powerbomb position, dropping him throat first on the top rope, before rebounding into a running sitout powerbomb before going for the pin.

Todoroki was barely able to roll his shoulders out at the last minute. Soul used the ropes to get back to his feet before hitting a springboard elbow drop onto Todoroki, but used his right arm, which had been targeted by Todoroki earlier in the match, and that caused the pain to flare back up.
"I think Soul may have gotten a little too overzealous just now," Cornette explained as Soul started pounding on his arm to get the blood flowing back into it, before he started waiting for Todoroki to get back on his feet.
"Maybe, but Soul may end the match right now!" Beth exclaimed as when Todoroki got up, Soul kicked Todoroki in the gut and picked him up in a suplex position, setting him up for the Soul Eater (Gourdbuster GTS).
"This could be it!" Okabe exclaimed, before Todoroki countered the suplex, got back on his feet, kneed Soul in the gut several times, kicked Soul in the right arm before hitting him with the Black Mass and going for the pin.

Soul was able to stick his foot on the bottom rope, causing a ropebreak. When Todoroki was told about the ropebreak, he spring back up, and started getting into the ref's face, stomping over to him and glaring at him. Todoroki then took a couple of deep breaths, before going back to Soul and putting him in the Dragon Slayer submission.
"Todoroki has him in the submission!" Cornette exclaimed, as Soul started punching Todoroki to fight out of it, but Todoroki used his free arm to pull back on Soul's right arm, causing the hold to become even more painful.
"The flexibility and ring awareness of Todoroki coming into good use right now!" Okabe explained, as Soul started to lose fight in him despite the crowd clapping for him. The same crowd was also chanting for Todoroki at the same time as he was stretching Soul's arm even more. After another 30 seconds in the hold, Soul finally tapped out, causing the referee to ring the bell and Todoroki to immediately release the hold.
"Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner as a result of a submission, Shoto Todoroki!" Justin Roberts announced as 90% of the crowd cheered Todoroki, who was breathing heavily and on his knees, while Soul was laying on the canvas holding his right arm.
"And now with that unique submission hold, Shoto Todoroki has taken the lead in this Best of 5 series with 2 victories over Soul, who only has one," Cornette explained as Todoroki rolled out of the ring, with his hands on his hips and his eyes downcast to the floor.
"And remember that this Best of 5 series is going to determine the new #1 contender for the BTWF championship, which will be on the line at Bash at the Beach when Kaworu Nagisa takes on the champion Natsu Dragoneel," Beth continued, as Soul continued to writhe in pain, as the referee checked on his arm.
"And don't forget to vote on the poll to show us who you are supporting in this Best of 5 series," Okabe plugged, as Todoroki continued to make his way to the entrance ramp.
"Well that was an explosive ending to Octane ladies and gentlemen, and from myself, Beth Vanderwood, Rintaro Okabe, and everyone here in the BTWF family, have a goodnight everyone, and we'll see you next week," Cornette signed out as the camera faded to black.
