BTWF Octane (July Week 3)

The show opens up with the camera panning around the arena, showing all the cheering fans, while "Edge of a Revolution" by Nickelback played. Fireworks went off on the stage, while the camera panned to the announce team.

"From Seattle, Washington in front of a sellout crowd, we welcome you to another episode of BTWF Octane!" Beth exclaimed, slowing off the signs that people brought in, such as "Shinji is the United States", "Why Clover Why?", "Natsu for President", and more.

"That's right! I'm Jin Cornette, alongside my broadcast partners, Beth Vanderwood and Rintaro Okabe!" Cornette exclaimed, as the 2nd version of Cody Rhodes' Smoke and Mirrors theme song played throughout the arena, with the crowd not sure how to respond to this song that they have never heard before.

"And right now, we'll see Clover Lamoreaux in action for the first time since she turned her back on the Totally Spies a couple of weeks ago," Okabe explained, as Jerry Lewis came out of the back, followed by Clover Lamoreaux, who was dressed in a black hoodie jacket.

"The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Making her way to the ring, accompanied by Jerry Lewis, now residing in Beverly Hills California, by way of Sainte-Mere-Eglise, France, Clover Lamoreaux!" Justin Roberts announced as Clover turned to the Titantron, which turned into something of a mirror, where Clover checked her hair and makeup while the crowd was booing her.

"Clover seems more preoccupied with her looks than her upcoming match," Cornette explained, as Clover finished checking herself out, and started heading to the ring with Jerry, causing the mirror to disappear. Meg Griffin was in the ring, doing her 'Meg' taunt (similar to the 10 chants of Tye Dillinger).

"And her opponent, in the ring from Quahog, Rhode Island, Meg Griffin," Justin Roberts announced as the crowd mildly cheered Meg, who was still doing the chant around the ring, causing Clover to roll her eyes before going into the ring.

"Well she better get her head in the game, as Meg is no slouch in the ring and has been itching to get that big landmark victory," Okabe explained as the bell rang. Before Clover and Meg could lock up, Sam walked out of the backstage area, who was glaring at Clover, as she made her way to the commentary table and put on a headset.

"And it looks like we have a guest on commentary, how are you, Sam?" Beth asked as Clover and Meg locked up in the middle of the ring.

"Not well, Beth. This whole betrayal has gotten me all riled up, and I want to scout Clover for our match," Sam explained as Clover kneed Meg in the gut multiple times before pushing her into the corner, and kicking her in the gut which sent her down into the bottom turnbuckle.

"Why do you need to scout Clover? You've been partners with her for years at this point?" Okabe asked, as Clover ran into the corner, and hit a running dropkick onto a seated Meg, before putting her in a headlock, and started slapping her in the head and mocking her.

"I've never seen Clover this mean and nasty before. She probably has some new moves, techniques, and even styles that I haven't seen before. Plus, Jerry's experience in the World of Sport styles of wrestling will give Clover even more surprises," Sam explained, as Meg used a snapmare to get out of the chinlock and when Clover got up, Meg started chopping her chest and hit her with a snap swinging neckbreaker. The crowd cheered, as Meg ran the ropes and hit a shooting star press, before going for a pin.

Clover kicked out, and when Meg tried to grab Clover, she rolled out of the ring. Meg immediately tried to hit a baseball slide under the ropes, but Clover was able to dodge and throw Meg into the barricade. Clover threw her into the barricade again before turning her head to the commentary table and started yelling at Sam before throwing Meg back into the ring. Meg was on her stomach, and Clover ran the ropes to hit a knee drop to the back of her head before going for the pin.

Ref: 1…2

"Clover may have shown off more of her ego, but she is backing it up with this aggressive style!" Cornette exclaimed as Clover mounted Meg's back and started hitting her with elbows to the back of the head before picking her up and hitting her with an uppercut and picking her up for a Tombstone Powerslam, sending Meg down to the mat back first. Clover started stomping and scrubbing her foot onto Meg's face, causing the crowd to boo even louder, and Jerry started clapping in delight.

"Clover wouldn't be this egotistical if Meg was kicking her ass like I will at Bash at the Beach," Sam grumbled, as Clover put Meg in a butterfly lock. Clover started yelling in Meg's ear, telling her that she's not on Clover's level and that she's a loser. Meg was able to pick herself up and hit an arm drag onto Clover, but Clover got back up and threw Meg's face into the ring canvas, before going for the pin.

Ref: 1…2

Clover picked Meg up and pulled her hair, before putting her into an armlock. Meg rammed Clover into the corner a couple of times, but Clover kicked Meg in the face as she put Meg back into the armlock. Clover started slapping the back of her head again, but Meg was able to turn herself around and start hitting forearms to Clover's face, before picking her up for a suplex, and dropping her stomach first onto the top rope, before Meg started climbing the turnbuckles.

"Meg may have gotten herself back into this match, but she may also take herself out of it!" Cornette exclaimed as Meg made it to the top rope, with Clover still hanging over the top rope with Jerry trying to tell Clover to get up.

"This could be the move Meg needs to get back into this match," Beth explained, as Meg dived off of the top rope, hitting a knee to the back of Clover's head, sending her falling from the top rope. Meg started climbing up, with some fans doing the 'Meg' chants before Meg tried to fire herself up. Meg picked Clover up and hit her with two clotheslines, a snap powerslam, and hit her with an enziguri before pinning her.

Ref: 1…2

"Clover is still in this match, but so is Meg!" Okabe exclaimed, as Meg put Clover on her knees, and started hitting several kicks to the chest before running the ropes and hit a shining wizard onto Clover. Clover rolled out of the ring before Meg could capitalize, and Jerry ran to Clover to check in on her. Meg ran between the ropes to hit a suicide dive onto both Clover and Jerry before throwing Clover back into the ring. Meg then springboarded into the ring with a crossbody, before going for another pin.

Ref: 1…2

Meg ran a hand through her hair in frustration before going into the corner, setting up her Meg-Nificent Knee (Running High Knee), but Clover was able to dodge and throw Meg headfirst into the turnbuckle before hitting her with the Brainbuster and going for the pin.

"Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner, Clover Lamoreaux!" Justin Roberts announced as Jerry got into the ring to raise Clover's hand in victory. However, Clover brought Jerry close and whispered something in Jerry's ear.

"I think Clover might have something planned here," Beth explained worriedly, as Jerry put Meg back on her feet while Clover climbed up to the 2nd rope. Clover looked over at Sam in the commentary table, flipped Sam off, before hitting a 2nd rope Blockbuster onto Meg, much to the crowd's chagrin.

"And Clover using Sam's finishing maneuver to make a statement!" Okabe exclaimed as Sam took off her headsets, left the ring, and ran up to the ring to confront Clover, but Clover ran out of the ring with Jerry, causing the crowd to boo. Though, while Clover and Jerry were walking away from the ring, Clover was yelling at Sam that she did it better than Sam ever did. Sam started checking on Meg before glaring at Clover's disappearing frame that was yelling at booing fans as the camera panned to commercial.

The camera panned to the backstage interview area, where Matt Striker was standing with the BTWF World Women's champion, Rei Ayanami.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the BTWF World Women's Champion, Rei Ayanami!" Matt Striker introduced, as the crowd cheered Rei Ayanami, holding her title over her shoulder. "Now Miss. Ayanami, I wanted to talk about what happened last week," Matt began, causing Rei to sigh.

"You and everybody else I've tried to talk to since last week. Even Shinji asked me a time or two about Zia almost costing me the match against Jiro," Rei responded.

"Well, she almost cost you your match against Jiro Kyoka last week here on Octane," Matt explained, as Rei again sighed in annoyance.

"I was there, Matt. Yes, she did almost cost me my match, but the keyword in this scenario is 'almost'. She was there to keep Jiro from cheating, and that's what she did. And everyone is trying to paint that like she's out to get me, trying to artificially insert bad blood into a friendly contest," Rei ranted before Jiro took the microphone out of Matt's hand and stared directly at Jiro.

"Last week, your buddy cost me my chance to beat the Women's champion. I should be in line for that title, not that wannabe rock star!" Jiro exclaimed as Rei chuckled to herself, caressing her title.

"Well, that's the pot calling the kettle black, isn't it?" Rei mumbled before Jiro slapped her in response. Before Jiro could do anything else, Zia Simpson came running down to the interview area and threw Jiro away from Rei.

"Look, I'm trying to focus on my Women's title match at Bash at the Beach, and I know Rei is doing the same thing. But if you want to stick your nose in our business, then, by all means, I'll have a match with you next week, and who knows, maybe you'll get a future title shot if by some chance you beat me," Zia challenged, with Rei glaring at Jiro from behind Zia. Jiro grabbed Zia's hand forcefully and shook it.

"I'll hold you to that," Jiro accepted before she stomped away from the interview area. Zia turned to Rei and offered a hand to her, who took it gratefully.

"Thank you, Zia," Rei responded.

"Anytime, Rei."

"Listen, we know Jiro tried to cheat in her match with me, so I'll be in your corner next week for your battle with Jiro. And after that, we can spend our time focusing on our title match," Rei offered with her hand outstretched. Zia took it vigorously and shook Rei's hand with the same amount of vigor before the two walked off together and the camera panned back to the ring. The lights in the arena turned light green and yellow with Johnny Gargano's "Rebel Heart" theme song playing throughout the arena.

"The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, from Death City, Nevada, Soul Eater Evans!" Justin Roberts announced as the crowd cheered, while Soul walked to the ring while hi-fiving some of the fans.

"Soul is behind in this series 2-1. If he does not win this match, Shoto Todoroki will automatically become the #1 contender for the BTWF championship without a 5th match," Cornette explained, as Soul went into the ring and went into the corner, staring at the entrance, waiting for Shoto Todoroki.

"You have to believe that Soul is completely focused on beating Todoroki tonight so that he still has a chance at becoming #1 contender," Beth continued, as the lights in the arena went out, and Aleister Black's "Root of All Evil" song played throughout the arena. Many of the fans cheered Todoroki as he was sitting criss-cross on the stage with his eyes closed. Todoroki then opened his eyes, causing the lights in the arena to come back on and turn red and blue.

"And his opponent, from Tokyo Japan, Shoto Todoroki!" Justin Roberts announced as the crowd continued to cheer as Todoroki flipped into the ring, sat criss-cross in the ring, and glared back at Soul before getting up and walking to the center of the ring. The bell rang, and Soul immediately came at Todoroki with multiple right hands, and hit him with an Irish whip, before hitting a rebounding Todoroki with a back elbow. Soul mounted Todoroki with punches to the face before Todoroki pushed Soul off while the crowd was cheering and chanting for both men.

"And Soul starting this match with a lot of aggression!" Okabe exclaimed as Todoroki started to kick at Soul's legs, but Soul grabbed Todoroki's right leg and hit a Dragon Screw onto him and started hitting elbows on his leg, before Todoroki pushed Soul off of him again with his legs, and ran at him with a running knee in the corner. Todoroki attempted to hit a suplex onto Soul, but Soul would counter with punches to the head and hit him with a neckbreaker before going for a pin.

Ref: 1..

Todoroki kicked out, and Soul attempted to pick him up, but Todoroki started kicking Soul in the chest and hit Soul with a backhand strike to the head, and put him into the corner again. Todoroki tried to hit another running knee into the corner, but Soul dodged. Todoroki, however, was able to climb the ropes rather than hit his knee on the turnbuckle. Todoroki was able to hit a missile dropkick onto Soul before going for a pin.

Ref: 1…2

"I believe that Todoroki has finally taken momentum in this contest!" Cornette exclaimed as Todoroki hit a couple of stomps to Soul's back, before picking Soul up and hitting him with a vertical suplex. Todoroki then ran the ropes and hit several knees drops to Soul's head, before picking him up again and hit him with a spin kick to the gut. Todoroki then ran the ropes and hit a dropkick to Soul's kneeling form before going for another pin.

Ref: 1…2

"Soul isn't going to let this opportunity slip by him that easily," Beth explained, as Todoroki put Soul in a Dragon Sleeper, occasionally clubbing him in the chest. Soul tried to get back onto his feet, but Todoroki swept Soul's leg, causing him to go back to the mat.

"This Dragon Sleeper could spell the end of Soul's chances at becoming #1 contender," Okabe explained, as Soul was able to get back on his feet again, turn himself around, and knee Todoroki in the gut a couple of times. Soul ran the ropes and tried to hit a running cross-body, but Todoroki countered with a knee to Soul's head before going for another pin.

Ref: 1…2

Soul rolled his shoulder out, and Todoroki immediately pounced on his arm, clubbing his right arm and shoulder before putting him in a Fujiwara Armbar. Soul tried to crawl to the ropes, but Todoroki stomped on Soul's back a couple of times before dragging him back to the center of the ring. After another minute, Soul was able to push Todoroki off of him, but Todoroki tried to run at him with a bicycle knee strike, but Soul countered into a sit-out powerbomb and went for the pin.

Ref: 1…2

Todoroki kicked out and put Soul in a triangle choke, but Soul was able to punch and chop his way out of the hold and kick Todoroki in the knee when he got back up.

"Soul may finally be coming back in this match!" Beth exclaimed, as Soul blocked and dodged Todoroki's strikes and kicks, before hitting Todoroki with a headbutt to the face. Soul hit his arm to get the blood flowing back into it, before he hit two clotheslines, a running cross-body, a boot to a seated Todoroki, and a running headbutt to Todoroki's gut. Soul then ran the ropes and springboarded off of the 2nd rope to hit him with an elbow drop with his good arm before going for another pin.

Ref: 1…2

"Soul will not let this opportunity go!" Okabe exclaimed, as Soul picked Todoroki up, and started elbowing him in the face before Irish whipping him into the ropes, but Todoroki countered it into a running enziguri and throwing Soul into the steel ring post before rolling Soul up with a victory roll.

Ref: 1…2

"That's true, but neither will Todoroki!" Cornette exclaimed, as Soul got up, and hit Todoroki with a boot to the face, and sent him into the corner with a dropkick, before running the ropes and hitting a running knee to Todoroki's gut, and hit him with a DDT before going to the top rope. Once he was in position, Soul hit a double stomp onto Todoroki, but despite being hit, Todoroki was able to roll Soul up with a small package pin.

Ref: 1…2

"Todoroki almost won the same way Todoroki beat him at WarZone!" Beth exclaimed as both men got up, and Todoroki attempted a Black Mass, but Soul ducked and hit a shoulder thrust into Todoroki's chest, and picked him up for the Soul Eater (Gourdbuster GTS), but Todoroki countered into another small package pin.

Ref: 1…2

Soul kicked out, and Todoroki kicked Soul right in the small of the back, before hitting a German Suplex, bridging it into a pin.

Ref: 1…2

Soul kicked out again, causing Todoroki to bury his hands in his face, and run his hands in his hair. Todoroki went into the corner and did the throat slash taunt before running at a groggy Soul attempting the Hot and Cold (Mushroom Stomp), but Soul was able to dodge, hit him with an enziguri to the back of the head, and was finally able to hit Todoroki with the Soul Eater (Gourdbuster GTS), before going for the pin.

*Bell rings*

"Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner, Soul Eater Evans!" Justin Roberts announced, as the crowd cheered Soul, who was on his knees, letting the referee hold up his arm in victory.

"And now it's official! Soul Eater Evans and Shoto Todoroki will take each other on in a tiebreaker match at Bash at the Beach," Okabe explained, as Soul left the ring, leaving Todoroki to continue to run his hand through his hair.

"Todoroki's been giving himself a lot of stress in this series, so you have to imagine how this loss will affect him mentally," Cornette explained, as Todoroki went to the apron of the ring to sit with a downcast look on his face before the camera panned to the commercial.

The camera panned to the ring where the United States Champion Shinji Ikari was standing with the title in his right hand, a microphone in the other, and a pissed off look on his face. The crowd was on their feet cheering and chanting for Shinji before he started talking.

"So last week, Mercury was in the ring, and he defeated Mordecai in convincing fashion last week and showed me that I could be in for a hard time at Bash at the Beach," Shinji admitted while the crowd continued to chant his name.

"But if he thinks that I'm scared or any of that bullshit, I hate to disappoint him, but I LIVE for the struggle! I don't want our match to be clean and cut! I want our match to be a classic, and just like with Stan at WarZone, not only will that happen, I will win and walk out with my title!" Shinji exclaimed as the crowd continued to cheer.

"But as for right now, I want to fight Finn, Double D, and Riley in a gauntlet match tonight! I know you're all thinking why I would want to do something like this so close to my title match, but I want to show Mercury what he's in for at Bash at the Beach, so let's get this match started!" Shinji yelled before throwing his title and the microphone to the ground, and preparing for a fight. Shortly after, "We Are One" by 12 Stones started playing, and the crowd booed as Finn came out first.

"The following contest is a gauntlet match scheduled for one fall. In the ring, from Tokyo Japan, he is the BTWF United States Champion, Shinji Ikari!" Justin Roberts announced, much to the crowd's delight.

"And introducing his opponents first, Finn!" Justin Roberts announced as Finn made it onto the ring, and Shinji took him down with a standing enziguri.

"And we're getting started with this gauntlet match ladies and gentlemen, where Shinji is taking on three members of the NWO, starting with Finn," Cornette explained, as Shinji picked Finn up, hit him with a Pedigree, and ran the ropes to hit a Peace of Mind (Curb Stomp) onto him before going for the pin.

Ref: 1…2…3

*Bell rings*

"Ladies and gentlemen, Finn has been eliminated," Justin Roberts announced as Double D came down to the ring.

"Ladies and gentlemen, introducing Shinji's next opponent, Double D!" Justin Roberts announced, as Double D ran into the ring and started trading punches with Shinji.

"Well Shinji has already eliminated one member of the NWO, so he's pretty fresh right now," Beth explained, as Okabe nodded in response.

"That's right, and he doesn't seem to be having too much trouble with Double D," Okabe explained as Shinji was able to block a couple of Double D's punches, and hit Double D with a Fly to the Moon (Superkick). Double D rebounded off the ropes as a result of the kick, and Shinji kicked Double D in the gut and the knee, before running the ropes and hitting Double D with another Peace of Mind (Curb Stomp) before going for the pin.

Ref: 1…2…3

*Bell rings*

"Ladies and gentlemen, Double D has been eliminated," Justin Roberts announced, as the crowd cheered loudly and chanting Shinji's name as Shinji waited for Riley to come out.

"And Shinji with another victory in record time!" Cornette exclaimed as Riley ran down to the ring, and before Justin Roberts could announce him, be ran at Shinji with a fist to the gut, and punched him in the gut multiple times before sending him into the corner, and stomping him in the gut. When Shinji went down to the bottom turnbuckle, Riley started choking Shinji with his foot, before the referee pulled him away from Shinji.

"Riley is finally able to give the NWO some offense against the United States champion," Okabe explained, as Riley dragged Shinji down the ring and hit him with a leg drop across the throat before going for the pin.

Ref: 1…2

Shinji kicked out, and Riley started stomping on Shinji's chest before putting him in a seated abdominal stretch. Riley slaps Shinji in the face a few times before continuing to stretch him. Shinji is able to roll out of the move and elbow Riley in the face before Riley dropkicked Shinji in the knee and hit him with a DDT. Riley put a foot on Shinji's chest to pin him.

Ref: 1…2

Shinji grabbed Riley's leg and put him in a leg bar.

"Shinji fighting back with this brutal leg submission!" Beth exclaimed as Riley dragged to the ropes, which made Shinji release the hold. Riley punched Shinji in the face before going to the second rope and attempted a diving leg lariat, but Shinji caught Riley it a powerbomb position, and threw him into the corner with a corner powerbomb, and hit him with a Fly to the Moon (Superkick) before going for a pin.

Ref: 1…2

Shinji drags Riley's body to the center of the ring and runs the ropes in an attempt to hit the Peace of Mind (Curb Stomp) onto Riley, but Riley moved out of the way and hit him with a Box Cutter neckbreaker before going for a pin.

Ref: 1…2

Riley pushed Shinji into the corner and attempted the Mug Shot, but Shinji pushed Riley off of him and hit him with another Fly to the Moon (Superkick), before going to the top rope and hitting him with the Genesis Moonsault (Best Moonsault Ever (BME)), before going for the pin.

Ref: 1…2…3

*Bell rings*

"Ladies and gentlemen, Riley has been eliminated! Therefore here is your winner, the BTWF United States Champion, Shinji Ikari!" Justin Roberts announced as Shinji grabbed his title and held it in the air much to the delight of the crowd.

"I believe that Shinji proved his point on this night, defeating three competitors in one match in less than 10 minutes," Cornette explained, as Shinji continued to celebrate before he was hit with a Phenomenal Forearm to the back of the head by Mercury Black.

"And Mercury Black with an attack from behind!" Beth exclaimed as Mercury picked Shinji up and hit him with the Styles Clash, before taking the United States title, and posed with it, much to the chagrin of the crowd.

"I think it's safe to say that Mercury wasn't impressed or intimidated with Shinji's performance," Okabe explained, as Mercury threw the title onto Shinji's formerly injured ribs before leaving the ring, reveling in the boos he was getting from the crowd, as Finn, Double D, and Riley Freeman followed him to the backstage area. However, when they got to the backstage area, Finn and Double D are attacked by Rogue and Sting, the #1 contenders for the BTWF World Tag Team titles.

"Where the hell are Naruto and Sheldon!?" Rogue yelled as Riley smirked at him.

"What? Didn't like the payback they gave you two traitors?" Riley mocked before Sting threw him into the wall nearby.

"Those two are holding something that belongs to the both of us, and we want them now!" Sting yelled, but Mercury smirked and poked Sting in the chest.

"Listen, Naruto and Sheldon are taking the week off to train for their tag title match. They'll be back next week, and when they are, you can talk with them later. And speaking of training, I have a United States title match to train for, so get the hell out of my way," Mercury explained, pushing his way through Sting and Rogue as Finn, Double D, and Riley again followed Mercury away from Sting and Rogue, who left the scene quickly, looking annoyed as the camera panned to another commercial break.

When the camera panned back to the arena, Todd Grisham was standing in the interview area, along with Owen and Mr. Enter.

"Ladies and gentlemen please welcome my guests at this time, Mr. Enter and his client, Owen," Todd introduced as Enter nodded with a smirk on his face.

"The pleasure is all yours," Enter responded before Todd nodded and continued on with his question.

"Now, for the past couple of weeks, you and Owen have been targeting Homer Simpson. May I ask you guys why you decided to go after him?" Todd asked before Enter took the microphone out of Todd's hand.

"Well Todd, we wanted to make a statement, and what better way to make a statement than taking out the only other giant on this roster? Owen will be known as the man to destroy Homer, and when he does, can you imagine all the merchandising? The commercial deals? Owen will be a star, and all we have to do is get rid of Homer," Mr. Enter explained before he turned and saw that Homer was glaring at the two of them with his hands crossed over his chest. Homer took the microphone from Enter's hand and put it back in Todd's.

"Uhhh…Homer, your response?" Todd asked.

"I wish them the best of luck with their little plan because I'm telling you right now; it's not going to happen," Homer responded before walking out. Owen attempted to go after him, but Enter got his attention and the two of them left the interview area as the camera panned back to the ring. In the ring, Denki Kaminari was in the ring with Valentino Clavara, and their respective partners, Kirishima and Arnold Jackson were standing outside of the ring, supporting their respective partners.

"The following contest is scheduled for one fall. In the ring first, from Tokyo Japan, accompanied to the ring by Kirishima, Denki Kaminari!" Justin Roberts announced as the crowd cheered Kaminari lifting his arm up with a wide smile on his face.

"And his opponent, from Monte Macabre, Mexico, being accompanied to the ring by Arnold Jackson, Valentino Clavara!" Justin Roberts announced as Valentino and Arnold hi-fived each other before Arnold went back down to the floor.

"Well ladies and gentlemen, we are back here with a match against two bright-eyed new talents in Denki Kaminari and Valentino Clavara," Cornette explained as the bell rang, and Val and Kaminari locked up in the middle of the ring. Kaminari put Val in an armlock, pushing Val down to one knee by using his foot to push down one of his legs. Val was able to get up shortly after and lock Kaminari in an armlock of his own, which Kaminari was able to escape from. The crowd clapped as the two of them applauded each other and shook each others' hands.

"And some very good technical wrestling by both Kaminari and Valentino here," Okabe stated, as Kaminari started punching Val in the gut before Irish whipping him, but Val ran at Kaminari with a clothesline. Val picked Kaminari up and hit several punches to his face, before Irish whipping him into the corner before hitting him with a Stinger Splash and a belly to belly suplex before going for the pin.

Ref: 1…2

"Val showing off his skills in this match up here, and Kaminari is struggling to keep up," Beth explained, as Val attempted to pick up Kaminari, who responded by kicking Val in the right arm and pushing him into the corner. Kaminari started stomping on Val before hitting an arm drag onto Val, followed by a running dropkick to a kneeling Val. Kaminari then tried to go for a pin.

Ref: 1…

Val kicked out, and Kaminari picked him up to kick him in the gut, run the ropes and hit him with a Rocket Kick, sending Val into the ropes before Kaminari hit a clothesline that sent Val over the top rope, before running the ropes again and hitting a missile suicide dive from underneath the bottom rope. Kaminari then immediately picked Val back up and threw him back into the ring. Kaminari then dived from the apron onto Val with a Tope Con Hilo before going for the pin.

Ref: 1…2

Val kicked out, and Kaminari immediately put him in a headlock, as Kirishima was cheering him on and Arnold was banging on the mat trying to get Val back up.

"Kaminari trying to take the air out of Valentino with this headlock!" Beth exclaimed as Val attempted to suplex Kaminari off of him, but Kaminari kept the hold locked in.

"Kaminari showing off his strength by keeping his headlock locked in," Okabe stated, as Val tried to roll out of the headlock, before he decided to punch Kaminari in the face, and wouldn't stop until Kaminari let go of him. Val went into the corner to wait for Kaminari to get back up. Val hit two clotheslines, a back body drop, and a leg drop onto Kaminari before going for a pin.

Ref: 1…2

Kaminari kicked out, so Val hit three running sentons onto Kaminari's gut, causing him to roll out of the ring. Val looked at the crowd, who started cheering him, before smirking and running the ropes to hit a diving body press from the top rope, much to the delight of the crowd, who started chanting "Holy Shit!" and "That was Awesome!". Val then roared, causing the crowd to cheer even more, before he threw Kaminari back into the ring, and ran the ropes to hit a springboard elbow drop from the bottom rope before going for another pin.

Ref: 1…2

"Valentino and Kaminari putting on a clinic right here, showing the BTWF fans why they should be keeping their eyes on them," Cornette exclaimed as Val tried to pick Kaminari up, but Kaminari hit Val with a jawbreaker before hitting him with a Matt Riddle-Esque strike combo, and attempting to hit him with a suplex. While Kaminari was able to get Val up, Val was able to go behind Kaminari, hook both of his arms and hit the Weapon V (Gory Special Reverse STO) onto Kaminari before going for the pin.

"Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner, Valentino Clavara!" Justin Roberts announced as the crowd cheered, and Arnold Jackson came into the ring to raise Valentino's hand in victory.

"And Valentino getting a big victory here on Octane!" Okabe exclaimed as Kirishima came into the ring to check in on Kaminari. Shortly after he got into the ring, Kaminari used the ropes to get back up, seeing Valentino and Arnold extend their hands. Kirishima and Kaminari shook their hands with no hesitation before all four of them held their hands up.

"And some great sportsmanship being displayed between these two teams," Beth stated as the two teams chatted shortly with each other before leaving the ring as the camera panned to a commercial.

When the commercial break ended, "Dear Future Self" by Fall Out Boy played, as Alex Vasquez came out of the back, hi-fiving fans, with Courtney in the ring, stretching in the corner.

"The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Making her way to the ring, from Beverly Hills, California by way of Monterey, Mexico, Alex Vasquez!" Justin Roberts announced as the crowd cheered Alex jumping through the middle rope to get through the ring.

"And her opponent, from Venezuela, Courtney!" Justin Roberts announced as Courtney mock curtsied in the middle of the ring, seemingly ignoring the crowd and their booing. When the bell ring, Courtney turned around and was hit by a spinning kick to the head. Courtney rolled out of the ring, but Alex followed her and started clubbing her in the back before throwing her back into the ring, and hitting her with a Facebuster a couple of feet away from the corner. Alex then ran to the top rope and hit a 450 splash onto Courtney before going for the pin.

"Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner, Alex Vasquez!" Justin Roberts announced as the crowd cheered. Alex, rather than celebrate, went to Justin Roberts to ask for the microphone.

"Alex takes Courtney out in a matter of seconds, showing that Sherry Blendy may be in some trouble at Bash at the Beach," Beth explained, as Justin Roberts got the microphone for Alex. Alex walked to the center of the ring and waited for the crowd to stop cheering her before she started talking.

"So…I have a match at Bash at the Beach against Sherry Blendy, the leader of the Sisterhood of Darkness. And I will tell you this; I don't care how many people you have in your group, I don't care how messed up in your head you are, and I don't care what you're trying to do with me! I WILL fight you and I WILL win! And when I do…I'm going right after Clover," Alex explained before the lights in the arena turned off, and a video came up onto the screen, featuring Sherry Blendy licking her lips with a sick smile on her face.

"Your confidence is delicious, Alex. Very, very delicious. But…your confidence is misplaced, as, with my Sisterhood behind me, you stand no chance against me, and you…will…suffer," Sherry said, cackling before she suddenly stopped and pointed up to the sky.

"But since you're so excited, let me give you a little taste of what to expect," Sherry explained, before the footage suddenly turned off, and the lights in the arena lights started to flicker red, as blood began pouring down onto Alex. After a minute, the blood stopped and the lights came back on, revealing Alex drenched in blood.

"Another odd attack by Sherry onto Alex!" Okabe explained as Alex tried to rub the blood out of her eyes as she rolled out of the ring.

"Sherry has made it clear that Alex's bravado does not bother Sherry, and is only encouraging her wrath," Beth stated, as a part of the medical staff at ringside tried to help Alex's eyes by trying to wash the blood out of it. The camera then panned backstage, with Kaworu Nagisa coming into the arena, which the crowd booed. As he was walking through the hallways, he ran into the Octane Co-GMs, Arthur Morgan and Tanya von Degurechaff, and they looked none too pleased.

"So, how was your week off?" Tanya asked in a sarcastic manner.

"Oh, it was just marvelous. It got me well-rested enough for my match with Mr. Dragoneel, where I will become the BTWF champion," Kaworu Nagisa gloated, causing Tanya to sneer.

"Well, I'm glad you're rested, Kaworu, because you have a match in the main event coming up. You're going to be fighting against a newcomer to the BTWF, Nico," Arthur explained, but rather than get shocked and annoyed, Kaworu smirked and chuckled.

"Thank you, Mr. Morgan, for the warm-up match. Make sure Mr. Dragoneel is watching for me, will you? Thanks," Kaworu said, walking out before Arthur and Tanya could tell him off. Before they could leave, Samantha Simpson stomped over to them, looking infuriated.

"Where…the HELL…are Clover and Jerry!?" Sam breathed out, glaring at the two GMs.

"They left after their match at the beginning of the show," Tanya explained, causing Sam to run her hands through her hair, even giving herself a couple of scratches on her face.

"They're not going to be able to run from me forever!" Sam exclaimed before stomping off, finally allowing Tanya and Arthur to go back to their office before the camera panned to the commercial.

The camera panned back to the backstage interview area, where Matt Striker was standing with BTWF Hardcore Champion Black Star.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the BTWF Hardcore Champion, Black Star," Matt Striker introduced, before noticing that he was accompanied by a tall black-haired woman. "Oh, I'm sorry ma'am, but who might you be?"

"I'm a friend of Black Stars, Tsubaki Nakatsukasa. I'm here to make sure Black Star doesn't do anything too severe," she explained, as Black Star took the microphone from Matt Striker.

"That's right because Pete Corvus has been doing a damn good job of pissing me off! First, he hit me in the head with a beer bottle, and then he attacks me from behind after my match with Hollywood Hooligan to steal my title!" Black Star explained, before taking a few deep breaths, as Tsubaki was massaging his shoulders to make him feel better.

"But that doesn't mean he's going to get my Hardcore championship! If he wants to fight me, all he has to do is ask. He didn't have to attack me from behind!" Black Star explained before Pete Corvus came up with a smirk on his face.

"Listen, Black Star…I-" Corvus started, before kicking Black Star in the gut and slamming his head into the wall and punch him the head multiple times before throwing him into the interview set, causing it to crash down to the floor, and Matt Striker to leave the area. Pete Corvus then took everything off of a nearby wooden snack table, picked Black Star up in a powerbomb position before hitting Black Star with a Powerbomb through the table, causing Tsubaki to shriek in terror. However, Pete looked back at her, smiled, took a couple of flowers from a nearby vase, and handed it to Tsubaki before leaving the area, leaving Tsubaki confused while the medical personnel was checking on Black Star before the camera panned to the ring. 'Head Hunter' by Dance Gavin Dance played as the crowd cheered Nico coming to the ring, hi-fiving fans while occasionally stopping to slap himself in the face to psyche himself up for his upcoming match.

"The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, from Nanba Maximum Security Prison, Nico!" Justin Roberts announced as Nico rolled into the ring clapping along with the fans before sitting down in the corner.

"Wait…this man is a criminal!?" Cornette asked as Nico started running around the ring.

"He has paid his debt to society, Jim, and has shown to be a nice and calm man when on the correct medication," Okabe explained, which seemingly caused Cornette to calm down. Then, Damien Sandow's 2014 version of 'Hallelujah' played throughout the arena, as the crowd booed.

"And his opponent, from Tokyo Japan, Kaworu Nagisa!" Justin Roberts announced before it was revealed that Kaworu had a microphone in his hand, and he cut off his music and started talking.

"Now, all of you troglodytes have been calling me a coward for not coming to Octane last week," Kaworu began, as the crowd booed at the insult. "This is the type of thing that made me realize that a trip to deal with stress was a good idea. Now that I'm fit and proper, I'm going to take my opponent tonight, and prove that I am ready to take the BTWF title away from Mr. Dragoneel at Bash at the Beach," Kaworu explained, before putting the microphone down and entering the ring.

"Kaworu making his intentions clear not only for this match but for Bash at the Beach as well," Beth explained, as the bell rang. When it did, Kaworu went after Nico with several knees to the back, clubs to the back, and a kick to the face before putting Nico in a headlock. Nico was able to get back on his feet and hit Kaworu with a couple of ax handles to the stomach, before Kaworu hit Nico with a knee to the chest and the face, before hitting a boot to a downed Nico's head and going for a pin.

Nico kicked out and Kaworu immediately put him in another headlock. Nico tried to snapmare Kaworu out of this hold, but Kaworu kept himself on the mat. Nico then decided to headbutt Kaworu in the face a couple of times, allowing Nico to slip out of the hold. Nico started kicking Kaworu in the leg before hitting a hurricanrana onto Kaworu before going for the pin.

"Nico trying to hang with the #1 contender for the BTWF title," Beth stated, as Nico hit a dropkick to Kaworu's chest before Irish whipping him into the corner. Nico attempted to hit a clothesline into the corner, but Kaworu countered into with both of his feet, causing his feet to hit Nico in the face. Kaworu threw Nico into the corner head first, hitting Nico with a Dragon Suplex before going for another pin.

"And Kaworu has taken back control of this match," Cornette stated, as Kaworu started stomping on Nico's back before picking him up again to kick him in the gut and hit a Russian Leg Sweep onto Nico. Kaworu put his foot on Nico's face, before curtsying and hitting an Elbow of Disdain. Kaworu then pinned Nico, with his forearm grinding into Nico's face.

Kaworu stomped on Nico's stomach again, before wrapping him into a seated abdominal stretch. Nico tried to roll out of the submission hold, but Kaworu elbowed him in the face a couple of times before putting him back in the submission hold. Nico then started punching Kaworu in the face and didn't stop until Kaworu had released the hold. Nico then attempted a dropkick onto Kaworu, but he dodged and rolled him up with an Oklahoma Roll.

Nico kicked out, and Kaworu responded by picking Nico up, kicking him in the gut, and running the ropes attempting a dropkick, but Nico dodged and when Kaworu hit the ground, hit him with a standing moonsault before going into the corner to catch his breath.

"Nico finally being able to get momentum back on his side, and now catching his breath so he can have enough energy to capitalize on the standing moonsault he just performed," Okabe explained, as Kaworu got up holding his chest, allowing Nico to hit two clotheslines, a dropkick to the head, and a TJP-Esque strike combination onto Kaworu before picking him up for a Michinoku Driver and hitting it. Nico then hit him with a spinning leg drop to the throat before going for the pin.

Kaworu kicked out and tried to get to the corner, but Nico was behind him, and hit him with a German suplex, but rather than go for the pin, Nico started climbing the rope, which the crowd cheered.

"Nico could've finished this match off with his Lethal Injection (Running Enziguri), what's he doing going up to the top rope?" Okabe asked as Nico finally made it to the top while Kaworu was still writhing on the ring canvas in pain.

"Looks like Nico is not only trying to capture a victory but also the attention of these fans in attendance and at home," Cornette responded before Nico dived off of the top rope with an elbow drop. However, Kaworu got his knees up just in time, causing Nico's right arm to hit Kaworu's knees. Kaworu got up while Nico was selling his arm, grabbed him in a full nelson position, hit his head multiple times onto the top turnbuckle before hitting a Final Request (Sitout Full Nelson Slam) onto Nico before going for the pin.

"Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner, Kaworu Nagisa!" Justin Roberts announced, as Kaworu got up and bowed for the audience before letting the referee hold his hand up in victory.

"Nico tried his best out there, but in the end, the #1 contender for the BTWF title came through and pulled out the victory," Beth explained, as Natsu ran to the ring, climbed up the top rope, and waited for Kaworu to turn around.

"Wait…what's Natsu planning?" Cornette asked, as when Kaworu turned around, Natsu dived off of the top rope and hit Kaworu with a diving kick from the top rope while holding the BTWF title in his hand, causing the crowd to get on their feet and cheer. Natsu then put the title down and made his way to Justin Roberts, asking for the microphone. When he got the microphone, he pulled Kaworu back to his feet by his hair before he started talking.

"Kaworu…how've you been? I missed you last week. I signed the contract for our rematch at Bash at the Beach, so I wanted to make sure that you knew what you're getting into at Bash at the Beach," Natsu said, before he hit Kaworu in the stomach with the microphone, sending him falling down. Natsu then ran the ropes and hit a Rolling Fire (Rolling Thunder), before going up to the top rope, and hit a Five Star Dragon Splash (Five Star Frog Splash) onto Kaworu. As Kaworu was lying on the ring canvas in pain, Natsu grabbed his title from the floor, put a foot on Kaworu's chest, and posed with the title over Kaworu's fallen form.

"Could this be the scene following Kaworu and Natsu's title match at Bash at the Beach?" Beth asked as Natsu invited several fans in the ring to take close up pictures of him posing atop of a downed Kaworu.

"With the newfound aggression of Natsu, it is a distinct possibility," Okabe responded, as the camera panned back to the announcer's table.

"Well ladies and gentlemen, I'm Jim Cornette, and from me, Rintaro Okabe, Beth Vanderwood, and the rest of the BTWF family, have a good night everybody and we'll see you next week for more Octane action!" Cornette signed off as the camera faded to black.
