Fight for Felmuth

Spyro led the charge from the Arena to the interior of Felmuth going after the squad of Skavengers that confronted him and his friends.

The Pirates were not going to allow their prisoners to escape. But they no longer had any control over them. Not one of them were in chains or caged up. Their Bargaining chip to make sure the others would stay in line were no longer keeping them safe.

The Purple Dragon blasted one of them with a fire ball while the others stormed behind him going separate directions to break through the Skavengers.

Swords, spears and Axe's swung and flew about as the Pirates were being sliced and stabbed by the former prisoners.

Adir kept his sword in both his hands as he blocked one Scavenger's attack with his cutlass. Adir then punched it in its face and hopped back unleashing a stream of ice shards at it piercing through its light clothing and killing it.

Molly swung and twirled her spear keeping the sharp end pointed out as two Pirates tried to grab her. She leapt up shoving the spear into the wooden floor and spun herself around the implanted weapon kicking the two pirates in their faces before she finished them off with a streak of fire incinerating them alive.

"Come on, guys! Let's make it fun!" Rai smiled with confidence holding out his two swords as another group of Skavengers were coming down the hall past all the cells where many manwearesmalls that still were locked in all watched the battle. Some cheered for those that their leader Mole-Yair told them about while others were rather frightened. Not only was there a fight going on just outside their cells but there was a much large scale one going outside.

The Pirate Fleet was currently under heavy attack by the Apes. No one knew why they were attacking them. It could be due to the fact they had valuable prisoners that their ruthless the Ape King desired or by simply in need of enslaving or wiping out another race that stood in their way.

More Pirates appeared in the halls to try and subdued the escapees from the Colosseum. Rai due to his small size and quick reflexes narrowly avoided being snatched. He dived and rolled around some of the Skavengers quickly slicing them in their legs bringing them to their knees before piercing his sword into the vital areas of their bodies killing them.

Another Skavenger came up behind him and picked him pulling him close. "Got you!" He snarled.

"Don't bet on it!" Rai exclaimed as the Pirate failed to see that he didn't pin the boy's arms and he still had his weapons in hand. He twirled them backwards thrusting them into the Pirates chest then he sent out a streak of heavy yellow electricity through them causing the Skavenger to cry out from the shock to where it let Rai drop back to his feet and it fell dead on its back.

Rai pulled out his two swords from the dead Pirate with a grin on his face. "Shock and Drop!" He chuckled before returning to the fight.

Sid was having his hands full in the battle near the cells. As more Skavengers kept coming many of them came after, Sid. His large size and his heavy weapon made him look the most dangerous and they focused their efforts on him.

"What is this? Pick on Sid day?!" He grunted as he struck down another Pirate, but they just kept coming his way. He wouldn't be able to keep this up if they are able to gang up on him. Then he got an idea. They were coming at him in a practical line down the hall. With his newfound power perhaps, he could make a good use of that.

Immediately he threw his axe at one Skavenger striking it in the head nearly cleaving it in two. He turned his body to where his left shoulder was in front of him, and he charged ahead. He built up his speed and shouted loudly as his body became impowered by the earth element. He struck into one Pirate sending it flying out a nearby window. Then one after another Skavengers were being sent all over the halls. Some went through the cell doors busting them open while others went straight through some of the walls.

Both his family and friends watched in surprised as Sid cleansed the hall of the Pirates. When he got down to the last two he drew out his arms and grabbed them both by their throats lifting them open while continuing to let out all the anger and rage he had built up since the moment their Captain took him and everyone else as prisoners and threw them to the ground so hard their bones shattered.

"Oh, I have been waiting to do that!" He laughed in triumph cracking his knuckles turning around quickly running back to gather his axe before cleaving down one of the last Pirates that tried to retreat but did not get far.

Adir and Spyro were the most surprised. What Sid did was amazing. First he defeated his opponent in the Arena but now he nearly single handedly took down an entire hall filled with their enemies with a simple charge with his Earth Element.

Sid noticed the Dragon and his cousin along with everyone else looking at him with such surprise. "What are you girls looking at?" He asked humorously.

"Just glad to see your already getting the hang of using the Earth Element." Adir smiled giving Sid a playful knock on his shoulders.

"Yeah. Bought Time I got something to put down these Pirate Pups." Sid snickered.

"Shouldn't we get the Prisoners?" Rai suggested.

"Right. Let's get everyone out!" Spyro agreed.

Everyone scattered to every cell. Some of the Cell bars were already shattered open due to Sid's cleansing of the halls while some needed to be busted open. Now that no one was being used as hostages they now could help everyone.

They gathered every single mole that were in the cells bringing them out and putting them into a group. Mole-Yair was among them having taken cover when the fighting had begun. When the Apes attacked he went to one of the cells that was open and hid himself among his people that were too frightened to move.

But when Spyro and all the others had beaten back the couple dozen Skavengers most of their fears dwindled but the current situation was still heavy.

"Many thanks again, my friends." Mole-Yair thanked as he was glad to see all his fellows were safe and accounted for but there was still a problem. "How are we going to get out?"

An Explosion rocked the ship making everyone wobble and some of the moles lost their footing. "Good question." Rai replied. "We have no idea where we are. We probably thousands of feet in the air and currently surrounded by two of our enemies who are killing each other out there."

"Yeah! If we don't get out of here were all going to die in a ravenous inferno!" Sparx shuttered fearfully making some of the mole's whimper in fear. They did not wish to have just been released from their imprisonment just to perish in a crash or be slaughtered by two warring races.

Spyro gave Sparx a look before he thought for a moment. What Rai said earlier was true. They had been on this ship for a short time, but it had to have moved a great distance by now and with no clue to where to go escape at the moment was almost meaningless. And with what the Chronicler wanted him and Adir to do they had to find a way.

With Mole-Yair and his people at risk protecting them right now was more of a priority. There was a lot to do and not enough time.

"We need to find a map." Spyro said earning a glance from everyone.

"A Map?" Rai asked.

"As you pointed out, Rai we need a map to try, and pin point our location. With it we can figure out where to go." Spyro explained.

"But what about them?" Molly pointed towards the moles. "Certainly, you can't carry each one, one at a time even if we can find a map."

Spyro nodded as he understood it. He had a plan for that. "We take this ship. At least to direct it to where we need to go." This earned a lot of surprised and cautious gasps.

"Take the entire ship, Spyro?" Sid scoffed. Even with his new power surely they couldn't take over a ship of this size let alone operate or use it with the limited number they had.

"We just take where they can steer it. Once we have that then with a map we can steer it on a course away from the battle outside and get our friends home." Spyro explained.

Mole-Yair nodded in agreement. It was a great risk for certain but at this point anything they did by now put their lives at risk. "I have to agree with him." He turned around to face his people. "My Fellow Manwearesmalls. I know you are all frightened. We are all scared but I trust this dragon and his friends. I trusted them before, and they set us free. Now they are risking themselves to save us once again. I ask you all for your courage in this and follow them."

All the moles in the group looked at each other. Their Leader spoke to them with wisdom. It was Spyro and Adir that once helped them in a time of great need and now they were doing it again with the help of others who seemed to be related with, Adir.

They all nodded and happily squealed. Mole-Yair smiled turning back around to face the dragon. "We shall follow you and your friends. We trust you."

Spyro smiled. "Thank you. I promise we will get you home. Are the rest of you with me?" He asked.

Adir smiled and gripped his sword tightly. It wasn't even a question. Molly and, Rai nodded along with Sid. Sparx however folded his arms in defeat.

"Oh, whatever. Let's just try not to die." He grumbled. "So, what's the first step, hero boy?"

"I believe with most ships they must be able to steer this ship from the deck. Let's get up there and clear it of the Pirates and anything else." Spyro suggested.

"Alright then. Let's go!" Spyro gestured to a stair case that led to the upper decks. He took the lead while Mole-Yair followed then Sid with a few of the moles along with, Molly and Rai. Adir and Sparx were the last to make sure every mole would follow but before they could go there was a crash followed but a loud shout that sounded like someone was in pain and it was no Skavenger or Ape.

"You hear that?" Adir asked but Sparx only shook his head though he was lying as it could be heard all over.

"Don't tell me you're doing what I think your about to do?" Sparx whinged. Adir smiled at him slyly.

"Why do I even bother?" The Dragonfly grumbled lowly putting a hand over his face.

"Go up with them, Sparx. Ill be up shortly." Adir said pointing up the stairs.

"Just don't bring any trouble." Sparx warned as he quickly hurried flying up the stairs. Adir only shook his head and turned heading down the hall past the many dead Skavengers.

"Hello? Someone there?" He called out as he moved through an opened door that was busted opened. Down another hall he saw two apes coming up to a cloaked figure that looked to be pinned under some wooden rubble.

Adir gasped at the figure seeing his legs were caught. So much of the wooden beams that were on him kept him trapped making him an easy target for the two apes.

"HEY!" Adir shouted at them running up to them with his fists aflame. The Apes turned around only for one to receive a fiery punch to its face then a kick back into a wall as the flames that caught on its fur suddenly spread around it as it screamed in agony before perishing.

The other tried to strike at Adir but he ducked below the left cross and formed a long blade in his right made from ice and thrusted it deep into the ape's stomach before creating another in his left hand and pierced it into the ape's head killing it instantly.

Once they were dealt with Adir looked down at the figure that continued to try and push the rubble off its legs. With the cloak covering most of its body and hood over its head, Adir couldn't make out who or what it was, but it seemed to be tall, and he noticed his hands were made of white fur.

"Hold I'll help you!" Adir got repositioned himself under the wooden beam that trapped the figure. Calling upon the Earth element he impowered his arms and pushed up with his legs grunting heavily as the wooden rubble was heavier than it looked. No surprise this figure was trapped good.

Adir managed to move the wooden beam up high enough for the figure to crawl out. Thankfully, its legs were not broken as he managed to get back to his feet.

"Thank you, my friend." He spoke in a deep voice and surprisingly to Adir sounded a little feline. Adir had dropped the beam back down and gave the figure a kind smile. He certainly did stand a couple feet taller than himself.

He made out a furry white muzzle with a black nose. What was he? "Listen we're going to the…" Adir was about to tell him about the plan but then the mysterious figure saw a small ship that was riddled in flames coming from outside heading straight for them.

"Look out!" He warned as he pushed Adir so hard he went back a few feet as the figure then jumped the other way as the ship crashed through the side. The Flames were heavy and Adir saw that it was coming towards a barrel of gunpowder near a wreaked cannon.

"Uh-oh!" Adir gasped immediately getting to his feet and ran the other way. He only got a few steps before the ship went up in a fiery explosion that sent him hurling a distance rolling to a stop.

He groaned having taken the brunt of the blast but nothing to be worried over. He was still in one piece but as he looked to where the ship had crashed and now was in inflamed ruins he couldn't see anything past it. "Hope you get yourself to safety." He hoped for the figure that in a way saved him from getting crushed. He had forgotten there was a battle going on outside and he was needed up top.

Out on the Deck it was complete chaos. Everywhere across the sky there were Dreadwings and Skurvywings by the dozens if not hundreds all clawing and biting at each other with their riders trying to shoot or hit the other if they came into range.

Skavenger ships both large and small were trying to repel the Ape assault. Some ships were falling out of the sky exploding from fire lighting up gunpowder barrels or in loaded cannons. Some ships were being boarded by the Apes. While some were being overwhelmed the larger ships were putting up a better defense. But it didn't matter who was winning this battle as the ship that, Spyro and the others were on was taking many hits all sides and the Apes continued to board and the Skavengers on deck were desperate to keep one of their flagships from going down.

The Purple Dragon had told Mole-Yair and his people to take cover while he and the others handled everything that was on deck.

With the Apes and Skavengers at battle with each other it made them rather easy to strike against as none of them saw they were about to be flanked. Molly, Rai and Sid were told to head up the bow of the ship while, Spyro went up down towards the stern. The Deck had to be cleared of enemies if they were going to try and at least gain control and take the ship away before it can be severely damaged and anyone else that could be imprisoned in any other part would not perish.

Even with taking the two waring factions by surprise the numbers were great. The Others of the Purple Dragon and the humans were only causing the battle to be a war of attrition. Adir eventually got to the deck and joined the battle. With Spyro fighting alone at the stern he raced to him sword drawn and sliced down anything that was not his family or his friends.

"How are we looking?" He called to the dragon as he just blew his ice breath across some of the deck turning many apes and Skavengers to ice and shattered them.

Spyro flew down next to him. "Its not looking too good, Adir. No matter how many we take down they keep coming!"

Adir kicked another ape down and pierced it through its heart with his sword. "Yeah! This place is crawling with more than what we thought. How are we…" He stopped talking when he saw many Dreadwings coming from the port side carrying bombs in their talons "…INCOMING!" He shouted as loud as he could as the Dreadwings flew over the deck and dropped their bombs.

The Deck was bombarded by a series of bombs. It started at the Bow as the bombs worked their way down. Molly, Sid and Rai barely were able to dodge out of the way of the oncoming bombardment. They were taking a lot from the blasts as the wood of the deck was imploding from bombs that didn't blow from impact but within while other bombs were decimating the deck itself causing it to erupt into flames that was consuming much of the deck by the second.

Mole-Yair had heard Adir's warning and got his people to the portside of the ship avoiding most of the blasts. Then the Bombs from the Dreadwings came to the stern where Spyro had Adir hop on him and Sparx flew next to them both flying upwards to avoid the bombs. The Last bomb blew up close to the edge of the stern where a big hole was left revealing the room below.

They could see within piles of glowing treasures and a table with a large luxurious looking seat behind it.

"There!" Adir pointed at the hole. "That must be where a map could be. Let's get in there and look while we can!"

Spyro nodded and Sparx only nodded because he knew he couldn't stop them from doing it. The Dragon and the young man looked to see that, Mole-Yair and the others were safe. Winded and battered but everyone had seemed to have survived the bombarding of the deck and most of the Skavengers and Apes that were on it were killed and only a few remained.

The Dragon flew down towards the hole that led to the lower deck. He hoped that room had what they needed. If it did then all they had to do was to take the helm of the ship and steer it clear but with so much damage it was a wonder this ship was still in the air. Another bombing streak could no doubt bring it down for good and then the ship and everyone in it would go down with it. They had to be fast in their search as precious seconds past could mean more enemies would be able invade the ship. The Other humans even with their abilities could not hold them back forever and, Spyro and Adir needed be on top to assist them.

They saw a few fires inside the room when they started to come in. They wondered if they would be too late. But they still had to search for if anything in that room could help them escape this battle then they had to chance it. Unknowingly to them the very room belonged to those responsible for their imprisonment and they were making their way back to the place that held some of their most valued treasures and detailed information in documents that were not going to let anyone take especially not those that they had come to believe were the ones solely responsible for the attack is decimating their fleet and interrupting their glorious arena fights.
