When the league arrived at Argus, they found Argus director Sara Lance waiting for them.
"Sara." Oliver said with a smile as he hugged his future sister-in-law.
"Ollie, you're certainly moving up in the world. Laurel's complaining that she wasn't invited to join this Justice League." Sara said with a chuckle.
"She hasn't even revealed herself yet. But I'm sure she'll get an invite soon enough." Oliver said.
"If she proves that she's League material." Kara said.
"Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, nice to finally meet you in person, though considering the files my predecessor has on each of you, I think I know you pretty well. Bruce Wayne." Sara said.
"Why am I not surprised?" Batman said.
"Don't worry, I'm not my predecessor. In fact, I'm hoping that you'll see me as a friend. A real friend." Sara said and Batman actually smiled.
"If Green Arrow vouches for you, that's enough for me. Not to mention I know you're the one who sold Waller out to the President, which definitely helped earn my respect. But I'm assuming you're here for a reason?" Batman asked.
"I just wanted to give Ollie some trouble about using my headquarters as his base, since even though Argus is technically defunct right now, I can't really rebuild it without a base of operations. I know I said you could use Argus HQ, but I didn't mean indefinitely." Sara said.
"Relax, it's just until this war is over and I think we might be getting close to that now. I've already started working on something more permanent for us." Batman assured her.
"Good. Oh and by the way, your prisoner has been very mouthy, so I may have flooded his cell with sleeping gas to shut him up." Sara said.
"He deserves worse than that and you can keep him after this war is over." Mera said.
"Who is this?" Sara asked.
"I am Princess Mera of the Atlantean kingdom of Xebel." Mera said.
"And like Kaldur, she's an ally, since she helped us stop the attack on Metropolis." Supergirl said.
"Well, I just wanted to give Ollie some trouble, I'll leave you guys too, just lock the doors when you leave." Sara said as she left the building.
"I still can't believe that girl is the director of a government organization, considering how much of a party girl she was back in the day." Oliver said.
"Says the former party boy turned superhero." Barry said.
"Enough. Where's Diana?" Kara asked.
"Retrieving Kaldur and Arthur from Amnesty Bay. Where's Krypto?" Alex asked about Kara's dog.
"Checking in on Clark's family before going to guard Jeremiah, Eliza and Karen in National City to keep tabs on them, since Karen's not ready to fight a war yet." Kara said as Diana entered with Kaldur and Arthur in tow.
"Princess Mera. What are you doing here?" Kaldur asked her as she stopped him from bowing to her.
"I'm not a princess right now Kaldur, since I revealed my true allegiance by helping the Justice League save Metropolis. But you must be Arthur. Your mother spoke highly of you." Mera said and the league members could see that both Arthur and Mera had quickly become smitten with each other.
"Uh thanks. Kaldur spoke quite highly of you too. Though I think he left a few details out." Arthur said as the two of them checked each other out.
"Anyways." Clark said, getting them back on topic.
"You must be the famous Amazon Princess. I was hoping to meet you." Mera said to Diana.
"Why me?" Diana asked.
"Because you're the member of the League that Orm probably considered to be his biggest threat, due to the history between our people." Mera said.
"What history?" Kara asked.
"To say Themyscira and Atlantis had their differences would be an understatement. The patron god of Themyscira is Zeus and the patron god of Atlantis is his brother and one of his biggest rivals Poseidon. Think of it as ancient politics. But that's beside the point." Diana said.
"But I always respected your fierceness and the fact that you were willing to defy your mother and your people for what you believed in. You're the one who gave me the strength and inspiration to do the same with Atlantis." Mera said.
"How do you know about that?" Diana asked.
"Atlantis keeps tabs on potential threats, including the only group considered a bigger threat than the Justice League." Mera said.
"The Amazons." Diana realized.
"And they're his next target." Mera said.
"How, the island is cloaked from the outside world, no one can find it. Even Diana doesn't remember where it is." Kara asked.
"It's cloaked from humans, but Atlantis has always known where the Amazons hide, since their island is sitting in the middle of our ocean. Just like how we knew the location of your island Supergirl." Mera said.
"Makes sense. But does that mean that you know where Themyscira is?" Kara asked as Diana didn't dare get her hopes up.
"Yes. And since I'm aware of the Island's security measures, I'll guide you, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern there, due to Themyscira's no boys allowed policy. Especially since we'll have an army of Amazons to back us up." Mera said.
"Agreed. And this way we won't have to worry about leaving the mainland unprotected. While we're gone, I want you guys to work on finding that trident Alex told me about on the trip here. Batman, you're in charge." Kara said.
"Understood." Bruce said.
"I'm gonna swing by Smallville to check on my family first." Clark said.
"Yeah, spend some time with your families too while you can. We don't know how much time we'll get to spend with them until this war is over." Kara agreed.
