BTWF Octane (September Week 1)
The show opened up with Pete Corvus' theme song, 'Outlet' playing, causing the crowd to boo as an ambulance pulled onto the side of the stage. Pete walked out of the driver's side door of the ambulance wearing a black buttoned-down shirt with a pair of sunglasses on his face with the Hardcore Championship over his shoulder before he went to the passenger side door of the ambulance and opened it for Tsubaki. The crowd booed even louder as Tsubaki walked out of the ambulance, held Pete's hand, and waved at the fans as she and Pete walked onto the entranceway and made their way to the ring.
"Welcome to the BTWF Octane ladies and gentlemen! From Palo Alto, California, I'm Nigel McGuinness, along with Beth Vanderwood and Rintaro Okabe!" Nigel exclaimed as Pete chuckled at some booing fans and rolled his eyes before turning to Tsubaki and kissing her, causing the boos from the fans to grow even louder.
"Thanks for the introduction Nigel, and after an amazing Cyber Sunday PPV, we have an action-packed show for you tonight!" Beth exclaimed as Pete walked onto the apron and held the rope open for Tsubaki before following her into the ring.
"That's right Beth, we have Ochako Uraraka taking on Asuka Langley Soryu in a match, along with Mercury Black taking on Soul Eater Evans after a confrontation at the Cyber Sunday PPV event!" Okabe exclaimed as Pete yelled at Justin Roberts to give him a microphone. Justin obliged before Pete looked at the booing crowd with amusement before looking Tsubaki in the eyes and beginning to talk.
"I told you so," Pete mockingly sang, causing the crowd to boo while she and Tsubaki patted the Hardcore Championship. "I told each and every one of you that I would win the Hardcore Championship at Cyber Sunday, and I did! Not only that, but I took his girl too!" Pete exclaimed as he and Tsubaki exchanged a kiss in the middle of the ring as the crowd's boos got louder and louder.
"And not only did I do all of that, but crushed Black Star's empty head with the door of that ambulance right over there," Pete continued, pointing at the ambulance he and Tsubaki drove in as the crowd chanted 'You Sick Fuck!' at him.
"You're damn right I'm a sick fuck!" Pete exclaimed as the crowd booed louder while Tsubaki was massaging Corvus' shoulders. "And you know what? I need to be a sick fuck so I can keep this Hardcore Championship where it belongs, and that's around my waist!" Corvus exclaimed before the crowd cheered as Primo's 2009 theme song played, and Valentino Calavera came out with Frida Suarez on his right arm.
"It looks like someone wants to shut the loudmouth Pete Corvus up!" Beth exclaimed as Valentino and Frida walked onto the apron, and Valentino held the ropes open for Frida before going into the ring himself. Pete and Tsubaki glared at Valentino as he asked a ringside attendant for a microphone.
"Well, well, well Pete. I have to congratulate you on actually being able to win the Hardcore Championship. But I hope you don't plan on keeping the title for long," Valentino threatened as Frida swooned on his arms as Pete raised his eyebrow in confusion.
"What the hell are you talking about you walking tub of lard?" Pete asked, clearly wanting him to leave the ring.
"What I'm talking about is that weeks ago, you attacked me and left my partner hospitalized! Therefore, I'm challenging you for the Hardcore Championship at New Horizons!" Valentino exclaimed as the crowd cheered loudly and chanted 'Yes!' Pete and Tsubaki on the other hand were laughing at the prospect.
"That's really interesting, but I don't deal with losers, so get the hell out of my ring before I beat the shit out of you again," Pete countered, causing the crowd to boo. Valentino was about to bite back, but Frida took his microphone and stepped to Corvus, causing the crowd to cheer.
"What're you scared!? You're scared that my new boyfriend is going to take that title from you faster than you can blink!?" Frida asked as Valentino looked at her in shock, as Pete continued to laugh at Frida.
"Boyfriend? Well tell your boyfriend that I have better things to do with my time than deal with him," Pete said before Frida slapped him in the face, causing the crowd to cheer.
"Well, you better make time, because he's going to whoop your ass!" Frida exclaimed as the crowd cheered. Pete started trembling in anger, but Tsubaki started massaging his shoulders, allowing him to calm down as he smiled at the two of them.
"OK. Fine. You can have your match. But…only if you can beat an opponent that I pick next week," Pete offered as Valentino walked up to Pete and extended his hand. Pete pushed Valentino's hand away, but Valentino grabbed Pete's hand and gave him a rough handshake, causing the crowd to cheer as Tsubaki ran up to Valentino and slapped him in the face. This distraction gave Corvus enough time to get back to his feet and punch Valentino in the head multiple times, kick him in the gut, and put him in position for the Package Piledriver, causing the crowd to boo.
"It looks like Pete wants to give Valentino a sneak peek of what he may be in for come New Horizons!" Okabe exclaimed as Valentino was able to get to the ropes and backdrop Pete out of the ring, causing the crowd to cheer as he takes Pete's Hardcore Championship and posed with it.
"Or maybe Valentino's giving Pete a sneak peek of what'll happen at New Horizons!" Beth exclaimed as Valentino threw the championship at Pete who was able to catch it as he and Tsubaki started making their way to the back. Valentino and Frida looked at each other and smiled before Frida got on her tiptoes and kissed him on the cheek, causing the crowd to cheer louder as Frida made her way out of the ring before Valentino recovered and followed her out of the ring.
"Well, it looks like Valentino is as love-struck as Frida is," Nigel pointed out as the two made their way to the back, talking to each other as the crowd cheered and chanted for the both of them.
"Hopefully, Frida can give Valentino the confidence he needs to earn that Hardcore Championship match at New Horizons," Beth offered as Io Shirai's babyface theme song played, causing the crowd to cheer as Ochako Uraraka ran out of the back and rolled onto the stage with a cartwheel. Uraraka then turned around and hi-fived Valentino and Frida as they were leaving before running to the ring.
"The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Approaching the ring, from Musutafu, Japan, she is the Genius of the Sky, Ochako Uraraka!" Justin Roberts announced as the crowd cheered while Uraraka continued running to the ring, hi-fiving, and fist-bumping as many fans as she could before she jumped up and rolled into the ring through the middle ropes.
"Our first match of the evening is another showcase for the young high flyer Ochako Uraraka!" Nigel exclaimed as Uraraka ran to the top turnbuckle and raised her right fist, causing the crowd to cheer and chant her name.
"She had an excellent performance at Cyber Sunday, and we can only expect more impressive feats of athleticism to come!" Okabe exclaimed as 'I am Perfection' by Cage9 played, causing the crowd to give a mixed reaction as Asuka came out with Erza Scarlet and Alexis Rhodes following her.
"And her opponent, representing the Beautiful People, accompanied to the ring by Erza Scarlet and Alexis Rhodes, from Berlin Germany, Asuka Langley Soryu!" Justin Roberts announced as Asuka looked at herself in a pocket mirror while Erza and Alexis were helping her fix her hair and talk about strategy.
"Asuka may have helped Alex and her team with the Sisterhood of Darkness, but we all knew that she was only ever focused on herself," Beth explained as Asuka rolled into the ring through the bottom rope and walked up to Uraraka, who was stretching her legs in the corner. Asuka called Uraraka a rookie and that she had no place in the ring with her.
"Asuka already showing her true colors to Uraraka, saying that she doesn't deserve to face her in a match," Nigel explained as Uraraka looked at her with her hands on her hips, before slapping Asuka in the face and pushing her away, causing the crowd to cheer as the bell rang. Once the bell rang, Uraraka ran at Asuka with a hurricanrana that sent her into the corner before picking her up and hitting her with multiple elbows into the corner. Uraraka then put Asuka in a suplex position and hit her with a snap suplex, put her in a seated position, and ran the ropes to hit her with a running elbow to her face before going for the pin.

"Uraraka taking control of this match with a sharp elbow!" Beth exclaimed as Uraraka picked Asuka up and hit her with multiple knife edge chops to the chest before Irish Whipping her into the ropes. However, Asuka was able to dodge an attempted clothesline by Uraraka and ran the ropes again to attempt a running Japanese Arm Drag. However, Uraraka was able to reverse it into her own Japanese Arm Drag, causing the crowd to cheer as Uraraka ran the ropes and hit a Standing Rolling Thunder Dropkick onto Asuka before going for another pin.
Ref: 1…
"That was a beautiful dropkick by Uraraka!" Okabe exclaimed as Asuka attempted to roll onto the apron, but Uraraka dragged her back to the center of the ring and hit her with a leg drop to the back of the neck before running the ropes and hit her with a basement dropkick to the side of the head. Uraraka then springboarded off of the middle rope and hit Asuka with a springboard leg drop, causing the crowd to cheer louder as Asuka attempted to roll away from Uraraka. Uraraka then ran the ropes and hit another running basement dropkick onto Uraraka's side that sent her rolling out of the ring.
"I don't think Asuka is going to say that Uraraka doesn't belong in the ring with her after this!" Nigel exclaimed as Ochako looked at a fallen Asuka, and springboarded off of the top rope and hit Asuka with a shooting star press to the outside, causing the crowd to cheer and chant 'Holy Shit!' before she jumped up onto the announcers' table and shot her fist up, causing the crowd to cheer louder.
"That springboard shooting star press sending the fans on their feet!" Beth exclaimed as the crowd booed because Alexis and Erza were walking up to Uraraka. Uraraka noticed them and jumped onto the fan barricade and hit a missile dropkick onto both Erza and Alexis, causing the crowd to cheer again as the crowd started counting.
Ref: 1…2…3
"Uraraka has taken care of the Beautiful People in one fell swoop!" Okabe exclaimed as Asuka started getting back up, causing Uraraka to turn her attention back to Asuka and punched her in the face multiple times before grabbing her by the back of the head. Uraraka then dragged her to the steel steps and slammed her head down onto the top of the steps multiple times before she looked up at the referee.
Ref: …4…5…6
"Uraraka showing some newfound aggression here against Asuka, but she has to be mindful of the referee's count," Nigel explained as Uraraka threw Asuka back into the ring and jumped onto the apron. Uraraka was about to springboard back into the ring but while the referee was distracted by Asuka, Erza grabbed Uraraka's legs, causing the crowd to boo as Uraraka was able to kick Erza in the face so that she could free herself. The crowd cheered as Uraraka attempted a springboard move onto a now standing Asuka. However, Asuka was able to see it coming and hit Uraraka with an elbow to the face, causing the crowd's boos to increase in volume as she went for another pin.
Ref: 1…2.
"Asuka may have taken control of this match thanks to that devastating elbow to Uraraka's face!" Okabe exclaimed as Asuka mounted on Uraraka and started punching her in the face until the referee pulled her off.
"There's no 'may' about it Okabe, Asuka did take control of this match!" Nigel exclaimed as Asuka went back to Uraraka's prone form and started stomping on her gut, chest, and arms before picking Uraraka up and throwing her in the corner.
"Thanks to the Beautiful People on the outside she took control, you two should bring that up," Beth countered as Asuka walked up to Uraraka and started stomping on her in the gut, causing the crowd to chant that Asuka sucks before Uraraka attempted to walk out of the corner. However, Asuka pushed Uraraka back into the corner, ran the ropes, and hit her with a running clothesline. However, Uraraka didn't go down so Asuka started kneeing Uraraka in the gut until she fell onto the bottom turnbuckle. The crowd continued to boo as Asuka dragged Uraraka to the center of her ring by the foot and hit her with a jumping elbow drop before going for the pin.
Ref: 1…
"That was a beautiful elbow drop by Asuka!" Nigel exclaimed as Uraraka kicked out, and Asuka responded by running the ropes and hit a now seated Uraraka with a dropkick to the face before picking her up and hitting her with a Snap suplex. Asuka held on to the suplex and picked Uraraka back up before hitting her with a swinging neckbreaker, causing the crowd to boo as Asuka put her foot on Uraraka's face.
"Asuka thinks that she has this match in the bag already," Beth explained as Alexis and Erza clapped while Asuka went back to the ground and put Asuka in a headlock. Uraraka was on her knees while Asuka continued to choke Uraraka with the hold, and Asuka was able to send Uraraka onto the ground with the headlock still locked in. The crowd clapped and cheered for Uraraka as while the referee was focused on Uraraka, Asuka put her feet on the middle rope to give her more leverage on the headlock.
"Ref! Look at Asuka's legs!" Beth yelled, but when the referee checked on Asuka, she put her legs back on the floor and rolled Uraraka away from the ropes, causing the crowd to boo as the crowd continued to chant for Uraraka.
"You don't have to be a tattletale, Beth," Nigel countered as Uraraka was able to make it back to her feet, causing the crowd to cheer as Uraraka elbowed Asuka in the gut and hit her with an arm drag. Asuka was in a seated position and Uraraka attempted to hit Asuka with a running neck snap, but Asuka was able to duck the neck snap and roll her up with a Crucifix causing the crowd to boo.
Ref: 1…2
Uraraka kicked out, but Asuka hit her in the face with a single knee facebreaker before going for another pin, hooking both of her legs.
Ref: 1…2
"Asuka back into this match with the knee to the face!" Nigel exclaimed as Asuka banged her mat in frustration before grabbing Uraraka's legs, attempting to put her in the Spinning Toe Hold. However, Uraraka was able to push her away, causing the crowd to cheer, but when Asuka attempted to rebound off of the ropes, Uraraka used her legs to flip Asuka in the air and hit her with a back body drop. The crowd cheered as Uraraka ran the ropes and hit Asuka with a kneeling spin kick to the head.
"And Uraraka may have gotten back in this match thanks to her shocking leg strength!" Okabe exclaimed as Uraraka kipped back up to her feet and when Asuka turned around, Uraraka hits Asuka with two clotheslines, a Superkick, a German Suplex, kept Asuka on her knees, and ran the ropes to hit her with a running knee to the back of Asuka's head. Uraraka then looked at Alexis and Erza looking worried, ran the ropes and up the turnbuckle, and hit a diving senton onto both Erza and Alexis, causing the crowd to cheer loudly.
"Good strategy by Uraraka taking out the rest of the Beautiful People to prevent them from interfering anymore!" Nigel exclaimed as Uraraka kicked them both in the head before going back into the ring.
"That is true, but it also distracts her from the task at hand, that being Asuka," Okabe countered as Asuka attempted to hit a clothesline, but Uraraka was able to counter with a Hurricanrana DDT before going for a pin.
Ref: 1…2..
"She doesn't look distracted to me, Okabe! Uraraka nearly got the three count with that DDT!" Beth exclaimed as Uraraka ran the ropes and hit her with a standing shooting star press before picking Asuka back up. The crowd cheered as Uraraka picked Asuka up, attempting to hit her with a Lifting Reverse DDT, but Asuka was able to stay on her feet, kick Uraraka in the face a couple of times, turn around, kicked her in the knee, and hit her with a DDT of her own before going for another pin.
Ref: 1…2..
"Asuka giving Uraraka a receipt with a nasty DDT of her own!" Nigel exclaimed as Asuka grabbed Uraraka's leg and started slamming it onto the ground, causing the crowd to boo as Uraraka started screaming in pain. By this point, Alexis and Erza had gotten back up and started cheering for Asuka as she grabbed Uraraka's foot and started stomping on her ankle, causing the crowd to boo as Asuka blew a kiss onto Uraraka before delivering a jumping stomp onto her right ankle and went for the pin.
Ref: 1…2.
"Asuka going after the leg not only for her Spinning Toe Hold submission but also to slow down Uraraka's high flying," Okabe explained as Asuka grabbed Uraraka's right foot and locked her in the Spinning Toe Hold, causing the crowd to boo as Uraraka continued to scream in pain. The crowd started to chant and clap for Uraraka as she tried to get to the ropes. However, Asuka kicked Uraraka's leg several times before dragging her back to the center of the ring. After thirty more seconds in the hold, Uraraka was able to roll up Asuka in a small package pin.
Ref: 1…2.
"Nice counter by Uraraka!" Beth exclaimed as Asuka attempted to put the Spinning Toe Hold back on, but Uraraka pushed her away with her legs, much to the crowd's delight. Uraraka then crawled to the ropes and used them to help prop herself back to her feet. However, the crowd booed as Asuka ran at Uraraka and hit her from behind with a running forearm to the back of the head. Asuka blew the crowd a sarcastic kiss as the Beautiful People were cheering from the outside before attempting to hit Uraraka with the Unprettier (Reverse Suplex). However, when Uraraka rebounded off of the ropes, Uraraka was able to keep herself in the air and hit Asuka with the Stundog Millionaire, causing the crowd to cheer as she started pounding on her right leg before pointing to the sky.
"Uraraka has Asuka in position!" Nigel exclaimed as Uraraka noticed Alexis and Erza getting on the apron, and hit them both with Superkicks before going up to the top rope, and much to the crowd's delight dived off of the top tope with an Uravity Stomp (Moonsault into a Double Foot Stomp) before going for the pin while clutching at her right leg.

"Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner, the Genius of the Sky, Ochako Uraraka!" Justin Roberts announced as the crowd cheered while the referee helped Uraraka back to her feet while Erza and Alexis were starting to come to.
"Uraraka continues to gain momentum with another big win over a former Women's Champion!" Beth exclaimed as Erza and Alexis, with hands over their jaws where Uraraka had kicked them, pulled Asuka out of the ring and helped carry her to the back. Uraraka climbed up the turnbuckles and when she reached the top, shot her right fist up, causing the crowd to cheer louder.
"We may be looking at a future Women's Champion right here!" Nigel exclaimed before the lights in the arena dimmed and turned blood-red, causing the crowd to boo as Sherry Blendy, accompanied by the Sisterhood (Ultear Milkovich, Tomoko Kuroki, Tina Belcher, Clementine, Scarlett, Xochi, and Himiko Toga) came out.
"Oh boy, I think Uraraka might pay for her part in the 7 on 7 tag match," Okabe noted as Uraraka climbed down and attempted to run the ropes, but Xochi got into the ring and hit her with a Savate Kick, allowing the rest of the Sisterhood to come in and attack Uraraka, causing the crowd to boo as all eight women were stomping and punching Uraraka before Clementine picked Uraraka up by her hair. Sherry grabbed both of Uraraka's arm and put her in position for the Darkness Falls (Killswitch).
"Uraraka is going to fall into darkness right now!" Nigel exclaimed as Zia Simpson, Zoey Hanson, Millianna, Kagura Mikazuchi, Star Butterfly, Meg Griffin, and Agent Xero ran the ring, causing the crowd to cheer as they all ran into the ring and started attacking the Sisterhood.
"I have a feeling this feud between the Sisterhood and the rest of the BTWF Women's roster isn't over by a long shot!" Beth exclaimed as the camera suddenly cut to commercial with the Sisterhood and the other women including Uraraka fighting each other.
*Commercial Break*
*Commercial Over*
The camera panned to the backstage interview area, where Mirai Kuriyama was standing with a microphone in her hand, with Sting Eucliffe and Rogue Cheney standing next to her.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I'm standing here with Sting Eucliffe and Rogue Cheney of the Legacy. Rogue, tonight you have a match against #1 contender for the BTWF Championship Shoto Todoroki. And I want to know how you're feeling about it," Mirai explained as Rogue chuckled before he responded.
"I'm not sweating it at all. In fact, I'm excited to face Todoroki," Rogue responded with Sting nodding in agreement.
"Pardon me for asking, but why do you say that?" Mirai asked.
"When you think about it Mirai, Todoroki is a lot like us; he's a second-generation wrestler who wants to make his own history in this business, and we can respect that," Rogue explained before Sting interjected.
"We've actually been thinking about it, and we wanted to extend an invitation to Todoroki to join the Legacy," Sting stated, causing Mirai to look on in shock as Rogue nodded in agreement. Before Mirai could respond, Shoto Todoroki walked up to them, with an unimpressed look on his face.
"I just walked by after getting cleared to compete, and I hear your offering to let me join your group? Well, I just want to make sure this doesn't distract you from our match, so my answer is no," Todoroki explained before he left leaving Rogue and Sting in shock, but Sting was able to recover quickly and got the microphone back under his mouth.
"Don't worry, once he sees what Rogue and I are capable of, he'll change his mind," Sting stated before he and Rogue left the interview room as the camera panned back to the ring, where 'Running with Scissors' by I See Stars is playing. The crowd cheered as they saw Death the Kid come out of the back and ran to the ring while the crowd was cheering.
"The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, from Death City Nevada, Death the Kid!" Justin Roberts announced as a wrestler in the ring that is bald and wearing plain black trunks is in the ring. "And his opponent, Danny Dylans!" Justin Roberts announced as Dylans threw up the peace sign before Kid springboarded into the ring and bowed in the middle of the ring, causing the crowd to cheer.
"Death the Kid making his first appearance on BTWF TV here tonight! However, he is still negotiating his BTWF contract," Okabe explained as the bell rang, with Dylans immediately grabbing Kid's arm and attempting to lock him in an armbar.
"That's right, and until his contract has been signed, he can't face any of our contracted wrestlers, but that doesn't mean we can't see him in action," Nigel elaborated as Death was quickly able to escape the armlock, kick Dylans in the leg, run the ropes, and hit Dylans with a Hurricanrana Driver. The crowd cheered as Kid ran the ropes and hit a jumping leg drop onto Dylans before putting him in a seated position and ran the ropes to hit a Meteora onto Dylans before going up to the top rope.
"Well, I'm glad we can still see him hit this thing of beauty off of the top rope!" Beth exclaimed as the crowd cheered when Kid turned around and hit Dylans with a coffin drop before going for the pin.

"Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner, Death the Kid!" Justin Roberts announced as Kid smiled at the cheering crowd and bowed to the crowd.
"Death getting his first win in the BTWF, and with that Coffin Drop, he can be a big-time player in this company!" Nigel exclaimed as Kid left the ring, and hi-fived fans as he made his way to the back. However, the crowd booed as Mr. Enter and Owen came walking down the entranceway, heading to Kid, who looked on at the two confused.
"Wait…what is going on here?" Okabe asked as Mr. Enter revealed the microphone in the back of his pants and offered a handshake to Kid. Kid looked at him with a raised eyebrow but shook his hand.
"Death the Kid. You had the entire BTWF fanbase talking after your surprising debut in the BTWF. And based on what I saw in the ring right now, you have all the potential in the world to be a star," Mr. Enter said as Death nodded despite the suspicious look on his face.
"But I think you can be more. I mean, you've probably seen Owen in a bunch of Burger King and Wal-Mart commercials that I've personally signed off on. This gives him the money he needs, and I've been making sure that he gets the matches that he deserves. And…I can do the same for you," Enter explained, leaving Kid stroking his chin with his fingers. Enter put the microphone closer to Kid's mouth so that he could respond.
"Maybe," was all Death said before he went to the back, causing the crowd to cheer as Enter looked back with interest.
"It looks like the BTWF fanbase aren't the only ones interested in this newest member of the roster," Beth said as Enter and Owen went back to the backstage area.
"We'll see how this plays out in the coming weeks," Okabe responded before the camera panned to the back where Todd Grisham was standing in the trainer's room with Rei having her leg looked at by a member of the medical team.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I'm here with BTWF World Women's Champion Rei Ayanami, who at the Jumping Bomb Angels Tag Tournament was injured by the #1 contender for the championship Akira Hayami. And Rei, I wanted to ask you how you're injury is," Todd asked, as Rei took a deep breath before looking at Todd with a blank face.
"Todd…I will not be able to compete for the rest of the month while my leg is healing. However, I have told General Managers Arthur Morgan and Tanya von Degurechaff that I WILL give Akira her rematch for the BTWF World Women's Championship," Rei explained as the medical personnel continued to look over her damaged right leg.
"Will you be cleared to compete by then?" Todd asked as Rei showed off a rare smirk on her face.
"Me and Shinji have talked about it, and it's all been taken care of," Rei asked cryptically before the camera panned back to the ring, where Touji and Kensuke were in the middle of the ring waiting for their opponents.
"The following contest is a tag team match scheduled for one fall. In the ring, from Tokyo Japan, the team of Touji Suzuhara and Kensuke Aida!" Justin Roberts announced as the two fist bumped in the middle of the ring, causing the crowd to cheer.
"These two haven't been on the winning side of things in a while, but they still are a fan favorite team here in the BTWF!" Nigel exclaimed in surprise before 'We are One' by 12 Stones played, causing the crowd to give a mixed reaction as Naruto and Sheldon came out from the back with the BTWF World Tag Team titles around their waists and microphones in their hands.
"And their opponents, representing the NWO, they are the BTWF World Tag Team Champions, the team of Naruto Uzumaki and Sheldon Lee!" Justin Roberts announced as Naruto started talking.
"Thank you for the introduction Roberts, but we have something to say. At Cyber Sunday, we found out the #1 contenders for our World Tag Team Titles are 2Lame, Eddy, and Gene Belcher. And we just…have to laugh at these two dancing dunces thinking that they stand a chance against us," Naruto explained as he and Sheldon shared a hearty laugh at the thought of 2Cool being competition before Sheldon took the microphone from Naruto.
"So we want those two to take a break from their bad dancing to look at what we do to these other losers in the ring right now," Sheldon warned before he dropped the microphone as he and Naruto continued their way to the ring as the crowd booed and chanted '2Cool' at Naruto and Sheldon before they put their titles on the steps in their corner and went into the ring, yelling at Touji and Kensuke before the referee separated the teams and put Naruto and Sheldon back in their corner.
"Naruto and Sheldon don't really seem to be taking their challengers seriously," Beth noted as the bell rang, as Sheldon and Kensuke started the match. The two locked up in the middle of the ring with Kensuke taking control with a headlock, causing the crowd to cheer as Sheldon attempted to break out of it with punches to the gut. However, Kensuke was able to take Sheldon down to the ground with the headlock still attached. However, Sheldon was able to get back to his feet, knee Kensuke in the gut and Irish whip him into the ropes. However, Kensuke rebounded off of the ropes with a clothesline that turned Sheldon inside out, causing the crowd to cheer as Kensuke rolled Sheldon on his back and pinned him.
Ref: 1..
Sheldon kicked out, and Kensuke picked Sheldon up, put him in an arm wringer, and started clubbing his arm before dragging him to his corner. The crowd cheered as he tagged Touji into the match, and the two Irish whipped Sheldon into the ropes and when he rebounded, Kensuke punched Sheldon in the gut and Touji ran the ropes and hit Sheldon with a big boot to the side of the head before going for the pin.
Ref: 1…
"I'm surprised, but Kensuke and Touji seem to be holding their own against the champions," Okabe explained in surprise as Touji picked Sheldon up and Irish whipped him into the corner before hitting him with multiple standing clotheslines to his throat before grabbing Sheldon and hitting him with an Overhead Belly to Belly suplex. The crowd cheered as Touji ran at Sheldon with another kick to the head before he went for another pin.
Ref: 1…2
"Sheldon is having trouble with Touji and Kensuke here, and that trouble may continue with that second kick to the head," Nigel explained as Touji attempted to pick Sheldon up, but Sheldon hit Touji with a Sit-Out Jawbreaker before tagging Naruto into the match, much to the crowd's chagrin. However, the crowd's chagrin turned to amusement as Touji saw a running Naruto and hit him with multiple hip toss counters before hitting him with a side slam and went for another pin.
Ref: 1…
"Touji showing the tag champions that they're not to be messed with!" Beth exclaimed as the crowd cheered while Touji dragged Naruto to the corner by his arm and tagged Kensuke back into the match. Kensuke hit an elbow drop onto Naruto's chest before Touji let go of Naruto and hit him with a jumping leg drop. Touji then rolled into the corner while Kensuke pulled Naruto up and hit him with multiple open palm strikes to Naruto's head before hitting him with a neckbreaker and going for the pin.
Ref: 1…2
"I think Naruto and Sheldon are more focused on 2Cool than they're letting on," Okabe noted as Naruto rolled onto the apron to get some reprieve, but Kensuke followed him and picked him up. Kensuke then punched Naruto in the head multiple times and put him into the ropes before running them, attempting a running dropkick. However, Naruto was able to catch Kensuke as he ran at him and hit him with a Stun Gun onto the ropes, causing the crowd to boo as Naruto ran the ropes and hit Kensuke in the back of the head with a corkscrew kick to the back of the head before going for the pin.
Ref: 1…2
"I think with that kick to the head, their focus is right back where it should be and in this match!" Nigel exclaimed as Naruto got back to his feet and started stomping on Kensuke before dragging him to his corner and tagging Sheldon back into the match. Naruto picked Kensuke up and hit him with a scoop slam before Sheldon hit a Tope Con Hilo onto Kensuke's gut before pinning him.
Ref: 1…2
Sheldon picked Kensuke up and started punching him in the face before kicking him in the gut and Irish whipped him into the ropes. When Kensuke rebounded, Sheldon hit him with a dropkick that hit Kensuke right in the jaw, causing the crowd to boo before he went for another pin.
Ref: 1…2.
"That was a picture-perfect dropkick by Sheldon Lee!" Okabe explained as Sheldon stomped on Kensuke Ronnie Garvin Style (a stomp on both arms, a stomp on both legs, and a stomp on the head) before dragging Naruto to the corner and tagging him back into the match. The crowd booed as Naruto and Sheldon threw Kensuke into the corner and started stomping on him before the referee started counting. Naruto and Sheldon moved out of the corner, but the two picked Kensuke up and dropped him chest first onto the top rope via a suplex. The two then ran the ropes on the opposite sides of the ring before hitting him in both sides of his head with a boot, sending Kensuke falling off of the top rope.
"Two boots to the sides of Kensuke's head! I'm surprised that his head didn't pop like a grape there!" Nigel exclaimed as Sheldon went back onto the apron before Naruto pinned Kensuke, grabbing both of his legs.
Ref: 1…2..
"That was a disgusting visual, Nigel!" Beth gagged as Naruto picked Kensuke up, hit him with a knife-edge uppercut, and before picking Kensuke up and hitting him with a Michinoku Driver. The crowd booed as rather than roll Kensuke up in a pin, Naruto grabbed his legs and wrapped Kensuke in a Boston Crab. The fans started clapping and cheering as Kensuke got his chest off of the ground and tried to make his way to the ropes. The crowd's cheers got louder as Kensuke got closer to the ropes. However, those cheers quickly died down as Sheldon springboarded into the ring and hit Kensuke in the back of the neck with a leg drop.
"Oh come on! Sheldon just interfered in the match!" Beth complained as the referee tried to get Sheldon back into the ring, but Naruto used this advantage to choke him with the ropes until Touji pushed Naruto away from Kensuke. The referee turned back around and Naruto attempted to hit Touji with a kick, but Touji caught his foot and since Kensuke was up, he grabbed Naruto with a Reverse DDT and tagged Touji back into the match, causing the crowd to cheer.
"And Touji is here and ready to win!" Nigel exclaimed as Touji hit multiple clotheslines onto Naruto before sending a big boot onto Sheldon, sending him off of the apron and onto the padded concrete, causing the crowd to cheer as Naruto grabbed Touji with an attempt to hit a German Suplex. However, Touji hit Naruto with multiple elbows to the side of the head before Irish whipping him into the ropes and hitting a rebounding Naruto with a Pop Up Samoan Drop before running the ropes and hitting a running headbutt to Naruto's face before going for the pin.

"And Naruto kicked out! With how hard Touji smashed his head into Naruto's, I'm surprised!" Okabe exclaimed as Naruto dragged himself to the ropes, but Touji grabbed his legs and deadlifted him up for a Powerbomb, causing the crowd to cheer. Naruto attempted to punch his way out of the hold, but Touji sent him down to the ground with a Sit-Out Powerbomb, causing the crowd to cheer louder before pinning her again.

Sheldon ran into the ring and hit a running dropkick to the side of Touji's head to break up the pin, causing the crowd to boo.
"And Sheldon made it into the ring just in time!" Beth exclaimed as Sheldon started stomping on Touji's head before Kensuke started climbing up to the top rope and, much to the crowd's delight, hit a diving elbow drop to Sheldon's head before throwing him out of the ring. The crowd then cheered as Kensuke helped Touji up and whispered in his ear. Touji nodded in response and Kensuke quickly went back onto the apron to break the count of the referee as Touji picked Naruto up.
"I think Touji and Kensuke have something big planned!" Beth exclaimed as the crowd cheered when Kensuke came back into the ring. Kensuke and Touji put Naruto in position for a dual Powerbomb.
"Naruto may be Powerbombed through the ring here!" Nigel exclaimed as Naruto pointed the referee to where Sheldon was, asking the ref to check on him. When the referee turned his back to do so, Naruto started jamming his fingers into Touji's eyes, causing the crowd to boo, allowing himself to escape the attempted Powerbomb and pushed Touji into Kensuke, causing their heads to collide and Kensuke to stagger out of the ring and fall to the padded concrete.
"And Naruto was able to escape the Dual Powerbomb!" Okabe exclaimed as Naruto hit the Cursed Seal (Omega Driver) onto Touji before going for the pin.

"Ladies and gentlemen, here are your winners, the BTWF World Tag Team Champions, representing the NWO, Naruto Uzumaki, and Sheldon Lee!" Justin Roberts announced as Naruto ran out of the ring to grab the World Tag Titles from the referee as the crowd booed and chanted '2Cool' at him.
"Naruto, thanks to his quick thinking, was able to get a victory and some momentum for his team with Sheldon!" Okabe exclaimed as Naruto ran to a seated Sheldon and hugged him before giving Sheldon his belt.
"I wouldn't call it 'quick thinking' Okabe, as much I would call it 'cheating'. A thumb to the eye is illegal you know," Beth countered as Kensuke went into the ring to check on Touji, who was holding onto his eye in pain, as Naruto and Sheldon were celebrating on stage with those titles, with Naruto yelling into the camera that they were going to do the same thing to 2Cool and that they were never going to win the tag titles.
"Beth, if there's one thing I learned throughout my career, it's that as long as the referee doesn't see it, it's not cheating," Nigel countered as the camera panned to the back where Pete Corvus and Tsubaki were walking into a locker room, where Joe Wolf and Charlie Bonifer were sitting and talking.
"Joe! Bonifer! Man, I haven't seen you guys since that multi-man match we had a couple of months ago! How've you guys been!?" Pete asked with mock happiness as he patted his Hardcore Championship with Tsubaki clinging to his right arm. Joe and Bonifer looked at him with disinterest.
"What do you want, Corvus?" Joe asked, clearly annoyed at being interrupted.
"Hey come on guys, is that any way to talk to an old friend?" Pete asked, with the insincere smile still plastered on his face. Joe just rolled his eyes as Bonifer got up with a glare aimed in Corvus' direction.
"Is that what you call it? Anyway, what do you want?" Joe asked, getting more and more annoyed.
"Listen, I need to find an opponent for Valentino next week. I don't think he deserves an opportunity at my championship. And I know you two have a problem with the fat little dork, so I was wondering if one of you were interested in fighting him next week," Pete explained. Bonifer and Joe looked at each other before walking to a secluded corner of the locker room and started whispering to each other. Pete and Tsubaki decided to start kissing while the two discussed their decision, and after a moment, Bonifer and Joe came back.
"Alright Romeo, we decided to help you. Next week, that nerd Valentino will take on my man, Charlie Bonifer," Joe said, as Bonifer looked at Pete with a sick smile on his face and his tongue sticking out.
"That's great-" Pete started to exclaim before Joe interrupted him.
"But…he'll only do it if you defend the Hardcore Championship against him when he wins," Joe finished, as Pete looked at Tsubaki in worry. Tsubaki looked at Bonifer for a few seconds and nodded to Pete before kissing him on the cheek.
"Alright, you'll get your title match at New Horizons if you win," Pete said as he stuck his hand out. Both Bonifer and Joe shook his hand as the camera panned outside the door, where Todd Grisham was listening in from outside of the door.
"Oh my God…I have to tell Val about this," Todd mumbled to himself before leaving as the camera panned to a commercial break.

The camera panned back to the locker room area, where some members of the NWO (Mercury Black, Finn, Double D, and Riley Freeman) were in the back celebrating with fellow NWO bandmates, Sheldon and Naruto with champagne.
"Hey man, should you really be drinking? You have a match with Soul coming up," Sheldon asked as Mercury rolled his eyes and laughed before putting the bottle back on a desk near them.
"You're right, but I won't even break a sweat with that loser," Mercury responded, as a stagehand came into the locker room and tapped Mercury on the shoulder.
"Mr. Black, your match is now. Please get ready," the stagehand stated before Mercury nodded and followed her out to the ring as the NWO continued to celebrate the NWO's victory earlier in the night. The camera then panned to the interview area, where Jack Korpela was standing next to Natsu Dragneel.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I'm here with Natsu Dragneel who lost his rematch for the BTWF Championship, and I think I speak for the BTWF fanbase when I ask what's next for you?" Jack asked as Natsu looked at Jack with a small smile before responding.
"I'm not giving up on the BTWF Championship. No matter what it takes, I'm going to get that title back around my waist and-" Natsu started to explain before Stan Smith came up from behind and threw him into the wall behind the interview area and mounted him with punches and clubs to the face. Mordecai quickly ran in and pushed Stan off of Natsu before the two exchanged punches in front of the interview area.
Ed then came up from behind Mordecai and hit him with a low blow, allowing Stan to send Mordecai down with a Belly to Belly suplex before they were taken away by security guards as medical personnel checked on Mordecai and Natsu. The camera then panned to the stage, where Johnny Gargano's 'Rebel Heart' theme song started playing, causing the crowd to cheer as Soul ran out of the back and put his hand over his eyes to get a better view of the cheering fans.
"The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Approaching the ring, from Death City Nevada, Soul Eater Evans!" Justin Roberts announced as the crowd continued to cheer as Soul started running to the ring, while hi-fiving and fist-bumping as many fans as he could before running underneath the bottom rope and into the ring.
"At Cyber Sunday, Soul was unable to capture the BTWF United States Championship from Shinji Ikari but managed to make even more fans in the BTWF than his Best of 5 Series with Shoto Todoroki!" Nigel exclaimed as Soul climbed up to the top turnbuckle and put his hand back over his eyes, looking on at the sold-out crowd as they cheered even more.
"Some people have compared Soul's performance in that match to an old school NJPW Super J Cup match with the Great Sasuke and Chris Benoit!" Okabe exclaimed as Soul jumped off of the top turnbuckle and went back into the corner before 'We Are One' by 12 Stones played, causing the crowd to boo as Mercury Black came out with a hood over his downcast head and his arms outstretched.
"And his opponent, from Remnant, representing the NWO, Mercury Black!" Justin Roberts announced as Mercury sprung his head back up, took his hood off revealing his silver hair, and pyro went off on the stage and the sides of the TitanTron before he started making his way to the ring with the crowd continuing to boo him.
"Mercury has some balls to look that happy after what he did at Cyber Sunday!" Beth exclaimed in disgust as Mercury seemed to laugh at the hate he was getting and continued to make his way to the ring with a confident swagger while Soul was stretching in the corner.
"If you missed what happened at Cyber Sunday folks, Mercury attacked Shinji Ikari's wife Rei Ayanami after the United States title match to get Shinji's attention," Nigel helpfully explained as Mercury walked up the steel steps and outstretched his arms again which caused the crowd to boo louder before he jumped over the top rope and jogged to the center of the ring and bent down to brush the ring before outstretching his arms again before turning his attention to an unimpressed Soul and smirked at him.
"Well after that attack, he definitely has to have the attention of the United States Champion," Okabe responded as the bell rang. Mercury and Soul immediately locked up in the middle of the ring, with Mercury able to push Soul into the corner, causing the crowd to boo and chant that Mercury sucks. Mercury attempted to punch Soul in the corner, but Soul was able to get out of the ring and punch Mercury in the face multiple times before the referee pulled Soul away from Mercury. Soul then got back into the corner and hit multiple knife-edge chops to Mercury's chest before soul took him down with a snapmare and put him in a rear chinlock, much to the crowd's delight.
"Soul is taking it to Mercury in the early goings of this match just when Mercury thought he had the upper hand early on," Nigel explained as Mercury was able to reposition himself and punch Soul in the gut a couple of times before pushing Soul into the ropes for an Irish whip. When Soul rebounded, he ducked an attempted clothesline by Mercury and an attempted elbow before springboarding off of the 2nd rope with a crossbody, causing the crowd to cheer before putting Mercury in an armbar, causing the crowd to cheer louder and chant for Soul.
"Beth, you have to be loving Mercury's trouble in the early goings of this match," Okabe commented before Mercury got himself back on his feet and stomped on Soul's face before picking him up and hitting him with a short-arm clothesline before going for a pin.

"Well, I was," Beth responded in an annoyed mumble as Mercury put Soul in a headlock, causing the crowd to boo as he started yelling in Soul's ear that things were going to get worse for him if he didn't tap out. Soul responded by getting Mercury off of him with a hip toss, but Mercury quickly responded with a leg sweep before putting him back in the headlock.
"It is very smart of Mercury to keep Soul in a vulnerable position like this so he can't pick up the pace and fly around," Nigel explained as Soul was able to throw Mercury over his shoulder and grab his legs for a roll-up pin.
Ref: 1…2
Mercury was able to reverse this pin into one of his own, causing the crowd to boo.
Ref: 1…2
"Mercury and Soul exchanging a pair of unsuccessful pin attempts!" Nigel exclaimed as Soul escaped the pin and slammed the back of Mercury's head into the mat before picking him up and hitting him with a back elbow to the side of his head before picking him up for a suplex. Mercury was able to escape the suplex and attempted to hit a running forearm, but Soul was able to counter with a Snap Powerslam before going for the pin.
Ref: 1…2.
"That was a beautiful Powerslam by Soul!" Beth exclaimed as Mercury rolled onto the apron, causing the crowd to boo once again. However, the crowd cheered again as Soul ran the ropes and hit Mercury in the head with a running dropkick that sent him falling into the fan barricade. Mercury was leaning on the barricade before Soul jumped up and down, getting the crowd even more pumped up, before he ran the ropes and hit Mercury with a suicide dive right in the stomach, sending him crashing further into the fan barricade.
"Oh my God! Soul nearly sent Mercury crashing through the fan barricade with that Suicide Dive!" Nigel exclaimed as Soul kipped back to his feet, causing the crowd to cheer as he picked Mercury up and slammed his head onto the steel steps multiple times before throwing him into the fan barricade again as the ref started counting.
Ref: 1…2…3
"I kind of wish Soul had driven Mercury through the fan barricade, but this is cool too," Beth responded before Soul started stomping on Mercury before Mercury grabbed Soul's leg and sent him into the barricade with a Dragon Screw, causing the crowd to boo as he mounted Soul and started punching him in the face much to the crowd's chagrin.
Ref: …4…5…6
Mercury noticed the referee's count and rolled back into the ring, flipping off the booing fans before rolling back out of the ring and hitting Soul in the face with a running dropkick while Soul was still laying down with his back on the fan barricade. The crowd continued to boo as Mercury knelt down to Soul's level and punched him in the face.
"Mercury has taken control of this match with a well-timed and placed Dragon Screw!" Okabe exclaimed, causing Beth to scoff as Mercury picked Soul up and hit him with a Russian Leg Sweep into the fan barricade before turning him around. Mercury smirked at the booing crowd before he started clubbing Soul in the back with elbows, causing the crowd to start booing louder as the referee began counting again.
Ref: 1…2…3
"The referee is counting again, so Mercury needs to be careful and make sure that he doesn't get counted out," Nigel noted as Mercury continued to slam Soul into the fan barricade back first before hitting him with a suplex on the floor. The crowd booed as Mercury kipped back up and stepped on Soul's face before scraping his boot onto Soul's face. Mercury then put Soul in position for a side slam before dropping him on the steel ring apron, causing the crowd to boo louder as Soul yelled out in pain as he rolled into the ring and away from Mercury.
Ref: …4…5…6
Mercury jumped onto the apron and hit Soul with a Springboard 450 Splash before going for the pin.
Ref: 1…2.
"Mercury taking control of this match with his repeated attacks to Soul's back!" Okabe exclaimed as Soul kicked out of the pin. The crowd booed as Mercury started stomping on the chest of Soul before picking him up and hitting him with the Phenomenal Blitz, causing Soul to get knocked back down onto the canvas. The crowd continued to boo as Mercury ran the ropes and hit Soul in the chest with a running knee drop before going for the pin, holding both of Soul's legs back for the pin.
Ref: 1…2.
"Soul is still in it though!" Beth exclaimed as Mercury put Soul in a seated position and ran the ropes before hitting Soul with a running knee strike to the face. Mercury then hit Soul with a Pendulum Elbow Drop before running the ropes again and hitting a seated Soul with another running knee to the face. The crowd booed as Mercury picked Soul up and Irish whipped Soul into the corner with enough force that Soul fell to the bottom turnbuckle. Mercury then went to Soul and started choking him with his foot before the referee pulled Mercury away.
"Mercury has to make sure he's not disqualified in this match," Okabe advised before Mercury ran the ropes and hit Soul with a running forearm into his face before dragging Soul to the middle of the ring and pinning him again.
Ref: 1…2.
"Soul is still in this match and Mercury looks frustrated!" Beth exclaimed as Mercury grabbed Soul by the arms and locked him in a seated abdominal stretch. The crowd cheered and clapped for Soul to get out of the hold, but Mercury responded by clubbing Soul in the chest and fish hooking Soul's nose, causing the crowd to boo before Soul attempted to roll his way out of the hold, but was unable to make it to the ropes as Mercury was able to roll him back to the center of the ring.
"Mercury able to keep the pressure locked in, and with all the damage done to Soul's back on the outside, this may be it for Soul here," Nigel explained as Soul used his right hand to punch Mercury in the face several times, causing Mercury's grip on the seated abdominal stretch to loosen and the crowd to cheer. Soul then grabbed Mercury and rolled him up in a small package pin causing the crowd to cheer even louder.
"And Soul is able to get the pin on Mercury!" Beth exclaimed excitedly as Mercury was able to kick out and when he tried to hit Soul with a clothesline, Soul leapfrogged over him, sending Mercury onto the apron. Soul attempted to get Mercury, but Mercury was able to elbow Soul in the face and hit him with a hotshot, sending his throat into the ropes and him falling down to the mat. The crowd booed as Mercury readied his forearm as Soul started staggering back up, attempting a Phenomenal Forearm.
"It looks like Mercury is ready to end this match!" Okabe exclaimed as Soul was able to make it back to his feet with his hands over his throat. When Mercury saw this, he springboarded into the ring, attempting the Phenomenal Forearm. However, Soul was able to counter Mercury with a Superkick to the face, causing the crowd to cheer as both men fell to the canvas.
"Soul is showing that you can never truly count him out!" Beth exclaimed as Soul and Mercury started getting back up to their feet. They walked up to each other and exchanged punches, with the crowd cheering when Soul landed a punch and booed when Mercury landed a punch. Eventually, Soul was able to win this brawl and hit Mercury with multiple knees to the face before hitting him with a Sit-Out Gourdbuster, causing the crowd to cheer as Soul ran to the other side of the ring and waited for Mercury to get up while putting his hand over his eyebrows, looking on at the crowd, causing the crowd to cheer louder. Mercury finally started getting back to his feet with a hand over his nose, which had started bleeding.
"Soul is ready to kick this into maximum overdrive!" Nigel exclaimed as Soul ran at Mercury and hit him with two clotheslines, a running discus elbow, a reverse atomic drop, and put him in a front facelock and ran into the corner, hitting Mercury with a Tornado DDT. The crowd cheered as Soul kipped up and ran the ropes to hit Mercury with a Shooting Star Press before picking Mercury up by his hair, ran the ropes and hit Mercury with a running crossbody before rolling onto his feet with Mercury in his arms, and hit him with a spinning side slam before going for the pin.
Ref: 1…2..
"That was some unreal strength by Soul! I didn't know he had it in him!" Okabe exclaimed in shock as Mercury kicked out of the pin. Soul grabbed Mercury's leg and attempted to put him in position for a Single Leg Boston Crab. However, Mercury was able to push Soul off of him, causing the crowd to boo before Mercury used the ropes to help get back on his feet. However, Soul ran at Mercury with a running enziguri to the side of the head before turning Mercury on his back and hit him with a German Suplex before bridging into a pin.
Ref: 1…2..
"Mercury landing on the back of his head from that German Suplex!" Beth exclaimed as the crowd cheered louder as Soul picked Mercury up and attempted to hit him with the Soul Eater (Gourdbuster GTS). However, Mercury was able to keep his feet on the floor and was able to escape Soul's grasp and put him in position for a DDT, but Soul was able to push Mercury away. Soul attempted to hit a running knee strike onto Mercury, but Mercury was able to grab Soul, hit him with a Shin-Breaker, and hit Soul with a back suplex facebuster before going for the pin.
Ref: 1…2..
"And Mercury is able to come back into this match with the Shin-Breaker/Facebuster combination!" Nigel exclaimed as Beth growled in annoyance before Mercury grabbed Soul's legs and dropped repeated elbow drops onto the knees of Soul before dragging him to the ropes. The crowd booed as Mercury put Soul's legs over the bottom rope and rolled out of the ring to pull Soul's leg on the ropes, causing Soul to scream in pain as Mercury started kicking Soul in the shin.
"Mercury is now targeting the leg of Soul, no doubt trying to set up for the Calf Crusher," Okabe explained as the referee started to count Mercury out as he posed for the fans with his arms outstretched causing the crowd to boo.
Ref: 1…2…3
Mercury then grabbed Soul's right leg again and started smashing it on the ring apron before le laid it down and kicked his knee before pushing him away from the ropes.
Ref: …4…5
Mercury rolled back into the ring and locked in the Calf Crusher, causing the crowd to boo as Soul screamed in pain.
"The Calf Crusher is locked in! Soul may have to tap out!" Nigel exclaimed as the crowd cheered and clapped for Soul.
"Don't be so quick to judge, Nigel!" Beth exclaimed as Soul started crawling to the ropes. The crowd continued to cheer as Soul got closer and closer to the ropes, despite Mercury's best efforts to keep him in the center of the ring. After almost a minute in the Calf Crusher, Soul was able to make it to the ropes, grabbing the bottom rope with both of his hands, causing the crowd to cheer as Mercury was forced to release the hold. Mercury attempted to grab Soul by the legs again, but Soul was able to kick Mercury in the face multiple times before using the ropes to get back to his feet and hit Mercury with a DDT before going for the pin.
Ref: 1…2..
"I told you, Nigel! Soul has this thing in the bag after that spiking DDT!" Beth exclaimed with delight as Soul attempted to pick Mercury up again for the Soul Eater (Gourdbuster GTS). However, the crowd booed as Mercury kicked Soul in the right knee, causing the crowd to boo before Mercury put Soul in position for the Styles Clash, and hit Soul with the Styles Clash before going for the pin.

"Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner, Mercury Black!" Justin Roberts announced as Mercury yelled at the referee to hold his arm up, which the referee quickly obliged to as Soul rolled out of the ring.
"Looks like your emotions got the better of you Beth, as you were way off on the victor of this match!" Nigel exclaimed as the crowd exploded when Shinji ran into the ring and tackled Mercury to the ground, punching him in the face repeatedly. The referee attempted to pull Shinji off, but Shinji didn't move and continued to punch Mercury until more blood poured from his face as Shinji opened up another cut on his forehead.
"Well Mercury may have won the battle, but he hasn't won the war yet!" Beth exclaimed as more referees came from the back to pull Shinji off of Mercury, but Shinji pushed them all away before throwing Mercury into the steel ring post with enough force that it sent him out of the ring and onto the floor.
"Shinji has been waiting for this since the moment that he saw Mercury attack his wife Rei Ayanami!" Okabe exclaimed as Shinji rolled out of the ring and saw Mercury on all fours. The crowd exploded as Shinji hit a Peace of Mind (Curb Stomp) onto Mercury before grabbing the microphone from Justin Roberts as Soul got back to his feet and left the ringside area.
"Mercury…you wanted my attention!? You…you got my…fucking attention! But I'm going to teach you…to be careful what you…wish for!" Shinji exclaimed as he breathed in and out in anger. Referees tried to come to Mercury's aid, but Shinji pulled an unconscious Mercury by the hair and kept him close by.
"No! I'm not done with him yet!" Shinji exclaimed as he hit Mercury in the face multiple times with the microphone before continuing to talk.
Now, you wanted to attack my wife huh!? Well, me and Rei talked about it, and if you want to make enemies of the both of us, then you're going to face the both of us in a mixed tag team match at New Horizons with BOTH my United States Championship and Rei's World Women's Championship!" Shinji exclaimed as the crowd cheered loudly. The lights in the arena then went off, and the crowd booed as Akira Hayami came out with a lone spotlight following her.
"Shinji Ikari, you may have just had one of the best ideas I've heard in a while. You see, I want the spotlight to be on me when I pry the World Women's Championship from your wife's beaten and unconscious body!" Akira exclaimed, causing the crowd to boo as Shinji threw Mercury's bloody head down on the ground.
"So you know what, someone tell Mercury when he wakes up that I'll be his partner for the mixed tag match and I'm going to enjoy taking the championships off of the happy couple," Akira mocked as she dropped the microphone as Shinji yelled at her while the referees helped Mercury up and started taking him back to the trainer's room.
"What a development for New Horizons! A Mixed Tag Match with two championships on the line!" Beth exclaimed as the camera panned to the back, where Soul was still limping back to the locker room where the Hollywood Hooligan and Mandy were making out in the corner before Hooligan noticed Soul out of the corner of his eye.
"Well, well, well, look who it is; the loser," Hooligan mocked as Soul looked at Hooligan with a glare while breathing in and out.
"It's amazing how all these people love you so much when you lost again. I was able to beat someone from another company and you? You just fail over and over again, and honestly, it's hilarious. But life isn't a movie like the ones I STAR in, and someday, you're going to be known as the 'Little Engine that Couldn't' and I'm going to be the star," Hooligan bragged as he and Mandy laughed at Soul. Soul looked down on the floor, shook his head and chuckled to himself before slapping Hooligan in the face and heading to his locker room as the camera panned to a commercial break.

The camera panned to Valentino Calavera and Frida Suarez in the locker room with Frida sitting next to Valentino, hooked onto his right arm.
"So…are you going to tell me?" Valentino asked, causing Frida to look up at him. Frida took a deep breath before she nodded and began speaking.
"When I was heartbroken over Manny using me as a shield at the last Starshow, I barely left my house, answered phone calls, or even got out of bed. This was someone I thought loved me but it turned out they were only using me, but then you came in. I remember you were working out the details of your BTWF contract and you were talking to me trying to tell me that everything would be better," Frida explained as Valentino's eyes grew wide as he remembered all the interactions he had with Frida before he officially signed with the company.
"The more we talked, the more I…kind of fell in love with you. You were a kind, caring, and really talented guy, and I wanted to tell you how I felt. I hope that helped explain things," Frida explained as Valentino grabbed her hand and started lightly rubbing it with his thumbs.
"Well…I'm not really used to this kind of thing, but I'm willing to give this a chance," Valentino responded, causing Frida to jump in her seat in excitement and kiss Valentino on the cheek just as Todd Grisham came into the locker room.
"Val! I got some news—am I interrupting something?" Todd asked as he noticed Frida with him.
"You kind of did, Todd. Now, what's going on?" Frida asked, a little annoyed that her private time with Valentino had been interrupted.
"Sorry, but I found out who Pete has lined up to be your opponent next week," Todd explained as Valentino turned to him with interest.
"Really? Who is it?" Valentino asked.
"Well I was standing outside of another locker room about 20 minutes ago and Pete Corvus got Charlie Bonifer to be your opponent next week," Todd explained.
"Wait…if you knew this for 20 minutes, then why didn't you come earlier?" Frida asked.
"Well…the catering had this delicious fried fish with tartar sauce and…that's not important, the important thing is that you have to be ready for Bonifer and Joe Wolf next week," Todd responded before Valentino nodded in response as Frida put a comforting hand his shoulder.
"He's dangerous, and he and Joe have had a problem with me since I came to the BTWF, but if that's what it takes to get my hands on Corvus, then that's what I'm going to do," Valentino responded as Todd sat down next to him and the three began to talk before the camera panned to the stage, where 'Unbreakable' by Of Mice and Men played, causing the crowd to cheer as the lights dimmed and Shoto Todoroki was seen sitting criss-cross on the top of the stage. When he shot his eyes open, the lights in the arena turned blue and red and the crowd cheered as Todoroki got back to his feet and made his way to the ring.
"The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Approaching the ring, from Musutafu Japan, Shoto Todoroki!" Justin Roberts announced as the crowd continued to cheer while Todoroki continued to walk to the ring. When Todoroki approached ringside, he jumped on the apron and leaped into the ring with a roll before sitting in the middle of the ring criss-cross, causing the crowd to cheer louder.
"Shoto Todoroki is the #1 contender for the BTWF Championship at New Horizons after winning a ladder match with Soul Eater Evans at Bash at the Beach! And he is going into this match ready and willing to maintain his momentum heading into his big championship match," Nigel explained as the Todoroki went to the corner and started stretching his legs before 'A New Day' by Adelitas Way played, causing the crowd to boo as the lights turned golden. Sting and Rogue came out of the back and fist-bumped each other before continuing their way to the ring.
"And his opponent, representing the Legacy, accompanied by Sting Eucliffe, from Magnolia, Fiore, Rogue Cheney!" Justin Roberts announced as the crowd continued to boo when Sting and Rogue made it to the ringside area. The two rolled into the ring underneath the bottom rope and climbed separate corners. Rogue smirked at the booing crowd as Sting pointed to Rogue and telling the fans that he was going to win.
"Sting and Rogue with their usual confidence heading into this match with a World title contender," Okabe explained as Sting and Rogue jumped off of the corner and fist-bumped each other again before Sting rolled out of the ring.
"Rouge and Sting have added motivation to do well in this match as they do want to show Todoroki that he would be better off joining the Legacy, so they want to make a good impression on him," Beth explained as Rogue and Todoroki walked to the middle of the ring just as the bell rang. The crowd booed as Rogue extended his hand out to Todoroki, who looked at his hand with a raised eyebrow. Todoroki then grabbed Rogue's hand and took him down to the ground with an armbar, causing the crowd to cheer as Rogue attempted to crawl to the ropes.
"Rogue and Sting might want to rethink trying to get Todoroki to be a part of the Legacy!" Nigel exclaimed as the crowd continued to cheer as Todoroki started stomping on Rogue's arm. This time, Rogue was able to get to the ropes and grab the bottom rope, causing the crowd to boo as the referee told Todoroki to break the hold. Todoroki did, but while Rogue was sitting up, Todoroki kicked him in the back multiple times before slamming his head back to the ground. The crowd cheered as Todoroki ran the ropes and hit him with a jumping double foot stomp before running the ropes and hitting Rogue with a Penalty Kick before going for the pin.
Ref: 1…
"That was a nice kick by Todoroki but Rogue was able to survive!" Okabe exclaimed as Todoroki picked Rogue up, but Rogue hit him with a jawbreaker and pushed him into the corner before kicking him in the gut. Rogue then started punching Todoroki in the face and started yelling in his face that he should've joined them, and attempted to Irish whip him into another corner. However, Todoroki was able to counter into an Irish whip of his own, sending Rogue hard into the corner.
"Rogue might want to keep that trash talk to a minimum when he's in the ring with Todoroki, especially this early in a match," Beth explained as Todoroki ran into the corner and hit Rogue with a Running Penalty Kick to the face before he pushed Rogue down and went for another pin.
Ref: 1…2
Rogue was able to get his shoulders off of the ground and Todoroki responded by picking him up, wringing his right arm, and hit him with a kick to the face. Rogue started staggering around before Todoroki hit a jumping spinning knee strike before hitting Rogue with a Snap Suplex. The crowd cheered as Todoroki started climbing up to the top rope.
"It looks like Todoroki wants to end this early!" Nigel exclaimed as Rogue started rolling out of the ring, causing the crowd to boo with Sting running to his aid to help him get his bearings back. However, the crowd cheered as Todoroki turned around and dived off of the top rope with a crossbody, sending both Sting and Rogue down to the ground before jumping onto the announcers' table, causing the crowd to cheer louder.
"Todoroki with the aerial assault onto the Legacy!" Beth exclaimed as Todoroki threw Sting into the fan barricade before picking Rogue up and hitting him with multiple elbows to the face before picking him up over his shoulders and dropping him face-first onto the steel ring apron. However, the crowd booed as Kaworu Nagisa appeared on stage with the BTWF Championship around his waist and wearing a blue and gold robe.
"What is the BTWF Champion doing out here!?" Beth exclaimed as Todoroki glared at Kaworu while the referee started counting.

"The champion is trying to get a better look at his competition! Nothing wrong with that!" Okabe countered as the crowd continued to boo as Kaworu walked closer to the ringside area. However, the crowd started cheering again as Eijiro Kirishima and Denki Kaminari came down to ringside.
"And Todoroki has his old friends from UA High here to even up the playing field!" Nigel exclaimed as Todoroki threw Rogue into the ring while the referee was continuing to count.

Todoroki attempted to get back into the ring, but while the referee was checking on Rogue, Sting pulled on Todoroki's leg, keeping him on the apron while Rogue recovered, causing the crowd to boo loudly while Kaworu blocked Kirishima and Kaminari from interfering.
"And Sting helping his friend by keeping Todoroki at bay!" Okabe exclaimed as Todoroki pushed Sting away with his foot, but Rogue had gotten up by this point and kicked Rogue in the chest before hitting him with a Rope Hung DDT, causing the crowd to boo and Sting to cheer. Rogue then started stomping on Todoroki before picking him up and running the ropes to hit him with a clothesline with enough force that Todoroki was turned inside out. Rogue then ran the ropes and hit a jumping elbow drop onto Todoroki before going for the pin.

"Rogue now in complete control of this match thanks to no small help from his partner, Rogue!" Beth exclaimed as Rogue Irish whipped Todoroki into the ropes before hitting him with a Sit-Out Spinebuster once he rebounded. Rogue then ran the ropes and hit him with multiple fist drops, causing Todoroki to sit up in a seated position with a hand over his head. Rogue then ran the ropes and hit him with a big boot to the face before dragging him to the ropes and started to choke him by driving his knee into the back of his throat, sending his throat pushing into the ropes.
"You know, I think Rogue is impressing Todoroki in this match here with how he's dominated," Okabe noted as Kaworu polished his championship with his robe sleeve right in front of a prone Todoroki before Rogue ran the ropes and hit a running back elbow to the back of the head of a prone Todoroki before hitting him with a neckbreaker and going for another pin.

"Todoroki has made it clear that he doesn't want anything to do with the Legacy and I don't blame him! Who would want to spend time with two egotists like them!?" Beth countered as Rogue picked Todoroki up and threw him into the corner chest first before clubbing him in the back until the referee told Rogue to back off. Kirishima and Kaminari clapped for Todoroki on the outside to encourage him, while Sting was yelling in Todoroki's face, telling him to just give up.
"I know what you're talking about Beth, but when it comes to success, you can handle people who help you get up there no matter who you're with. I was trying to get into a stable with AJ Styles, Ric Flair, James Storm, and others back in the day, and they were an annoying bunch of misfits, but I did it to help my career," Nigel soliloquized as Rogue put Todoroki up on the top rope and continued to club him in the back before jumping up to the top rope. The crowd jeered as Rogue attempted to put Todoroki in position for a Back Suplex from the top rope.
"That was a very interesting story Nigel, but it looks like Rogue wants to close the book on this match!" Okabe exclaimed as Todoroki started to fight back with multiple elbows to the sides of Rogue's face. The crowd, Kaminari, and Kirishima cheered as Rogue fell off of the top rope, but landed on his feet with a hand on his jaw. Todoroki was able to turn around and attempted to dive off of the top rope with another crossbody, but Rogue countered with a Midair Powerslam, causing the crowd to boo as Sting and Kaworu clapped before going for another pin, hooking both of Todoroki's legs.

Rogue pounded the mat in frustration before picking Todoroki up and hitting him with a backbreaker multiple times before keeping Todoroki's back on his knee and started stretching him, causing the crowd to boo as Todoroki attempted to get out of it.
"And Rogue trying to bend Todoroki's back with his knee!" Beth exclaimed as Todoroki attempted to drag his way out of it but Rogue started fish-hooking Todoroki's nose, causing the crowd to boo louder as Kaminari and Kirishima started banging on the ring apron to encourage Todoroki while Kaworu and Sting were clapping for Rogue. Sting was yelling at Todoroki to tap out, but Todoroki grabbed the back of Rogue's neck with his hands and started hitting the knee multiple times to the back of Rogue's neck, causing the crowd to cheer as Rogue let go of the hold.
"Todoroki with those vicious knees to the back of the head!" Okabe exclaimed as Todoroki got back to his feet, hit Rogue with multiple open hand strikes to Rogue's face and the side of his head, multiple kicks to his chest and knees, and then hit Rogue with a knee to the face. Todoroki then attempted to go for another kick to the head, but Rogue was able to counter it, put his leg down, and hit him with a Uranage before going for another pin.

Rogue pounds on the mat, before Kaworu tells Rogue to put Todoroki in another submission hold. Rogue nodded before grabbing Todoroki's leg and locking him a Single Leg Boston Crab. The crowd started cheering and clapping for Todoroki as he screamed in pain while Sting was cheering Rogue on while he flipped off Kirishima and Kaminari.
"Todoroki may have to tap out here, as I don't think his back is going to last too much longer!" Nigel exclaimed as Todoroki started dragging himself to the ropes, causing the crowd to cheer louder as Rogue started punching Todoroki's knee and dragged him back to the center of the ring. The crowd booed as Kaminari and Kirishima tried to get Todoroki back into this thing before Todoroki once again got his chest off of the canvas and started dragging his way to the ropes once again.
"I wouldn't count your chickens yet Nigel!" Beth exclaimed as Rogue started punching Todoroki in the knee again. However, Todoroki didn't stop dragging himself to the ropes and after almost another minute, Todoroki grabbed the middle rope with his right hand, causing the crowd to explode as the referee told Rogue to get off of him. Kaworu looked frustrated while Sting started yelling at the referee that he tapped out.
"Well…I guess you're right Beth," Nigel admitted as Todoroki pulled himself up using the ropes, and Rogue attempted to run at him. However, Todoroki countered with a Rolling Wheel Kick/S.O.S. combination, causing the crowd to cheer, as he rolled into a pin.

"Todoroki coming back with that terrific combination of moves!" Beth exclaimed as Todoroki picked Rogue up and hit him with multiple kicks to the sides and legs before running the ropes and hitting Rogue with two running forearms. When Rogue got back up, Todoroki grabbed Rogue's arm, and hit him with a Pepsi Twist clothesline before running the ropes and hitting a running knee to the side of Rogue's head. The crowd continued to cheer as Todoroki ran the ropes and hit multiple leg drops onto Rogue before going for the pin.

Rogue kicked out, and Todoroki responded by rubbing his back with his right hand before picking Rogue up with his left hand. Rouge pushed Todoroki's hand away and ran the ropes, attempting another clothesline. However, Todoroki was able to counter into a Fujiwara Armbar, causing the crowd to cheer as Rogue started screaming in pain while trying to drag himself to the ropes.
"And Todoroki looks to take Rogue's arm home with him!" Okabe exclaimed as Todoroki was able to drag Rogue back to the center of the ring and keep the Fujiwara Armbar locked in. However, Kaworu got onto the apron and started arguing with the referee.
"And what in the blue hell is Kaworu doing!?" Beth asked in annoyance as while the referee was distracted, Rogue tapped out. However, while Todoroki was glaring at Kaworu talking to the referee, Sting dived off of the top rope and hit Todoroki with a moonsault, causing the crowd to boo and Todoroki to let go of the armbar. Sting then rolled out of the ring as Rogue dragged himself to the pin by laying on Todoroki's chest while on his back as Kaworu jumped down from the apron.
"A genius move to cost the #1 contender to his championship some momentum!" Okabe responded, impressed at Kaworu's strategy as the referee went down for the pin.

Todoroki barely rolled his shoulder out, causing Rogue to start pounding on the mat in frustration as Sting started yelling at the referee that it was a three count as the fans chanted 'That Was 2!'
"Well it looks like that 'genius move' failed Okabe," Beth countered with a smirk as Rogue attempted to put Todoroki in position for the Nightmare Street (Dream Street), but Todoroki was able to slip out of the Million Dollar Dream and hit Rogue with a jawbreaker. Before Sting and Kaworu could interfere again, Kirishima and Kaminari ran at them and started brawling with them, causing the crowd to cheer.
"It looks like Kaworu and Sting won't be able to interfere anymore!" Nigel exclaimed as Todoroki ran the ropes and hit Rogue from the back with the Hot and Cold (Mushroom Stomp) before turning him on his back and going for the pin.

"Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner, Shoto Todoroki!" Justin Roberts announced as Todoroki got back to his feet as Kaworu was able to low blow Kirishima and throw him into the steel steps. Todoroki then let go of the referee and ran the ropes before hitting a vaulting body press to the outside onto Kaworu as they brawled up the entranceway while Sting and Kaminari were still brawling.
"Todoroki got the win here, but apparently still has plenty of fight left in him!" Okabe exclaimed as referees and security came out to separate Kaworu and Todoroki as the crowd booed and chanted 'Let Them Fight!' as Kirishima ran into the ring and tackled a now standing Rogue and rained down punches on his face.
"Kaminari and Kirishima also clearly have that fight in them as well!" Nigel exclaimed as Kaminari slammed Sting's head into the fan barricade before rolling into the ring and grabbed Rogue, allowing him and Kirishima to hit a Hi-Low onto Rouge while Todoroki was able to escape the hold of security and tackle Kaworu to the ground, causing the crowd to cheer.
"Todoroki, now that he can taste the BTWF Championship as the #1 contender, is not holding anything back against the champion!" Beth exclaimed as more security came out to pull Todoroki off of Kaworu as the camera panned to the backstage interview area where Mirai Kuriyama was standing next to Clover Lamoreaux and Jerry Lewis.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I'm here with Clover Lamoreaux, who at the Jumping Bomb Angels Tag Title Tournament, attacked Samantha Simpson, re-aggravating her neck injury and sending her to a nearby hospital," Mirai explained before Jerry took over.
"We did speak to the BTWF Board of Directors about that, and it has been ruled that Clover was only acting out of stress, meaning that she will not be punished for this…unfortunate event," Jerry explained as Clover nodded.
"That's right, but let's talk about something more important; me. I'm still being ignored by the incompetent General Managers of this brand! I should be facing Rei for the Women's Championship, I should be the first-ever Women's Tag Team Champions, I should-" Clover started ranting before Alex Vasquez walked up to her, playing the world's smallest violin in her hand.
"Oh boo hoo Clover. I guess it's finally sunk in that your actions have consequences," Alex mocked, as Clover glared at her as Mirai moved back in worry.
"Consequences!? I've given this show the shot in the arm that it's needed!" Clover countered as Alex rolled her eyes and laughed.
"Well, watching you cry and get your ass kicked has been entertaining. But, you know, I got you some matches coming up. I spoke with Arthur and Tanya, and they said that you're going to face Zia Simpson next week, and at New Horizons, you're going to face me," Alex explained as Jerry looked shocked at Alex before checking his phone, possibly for messages from the General Managers.
"You know what? That may have been the most useful thing you've ever done for me. I'll do it, and not only will I beat the Woman that Beauty Forgot, but I'll beat the 3rd best members of the Totally Spies and make you realize that we should've replaced you with Brittney long ago!" Clover exclaimed. Alex laughed before kicking Clover in the face and throwing her into the wall before leaving as the camera faded to black.
