Penguin Confronts Sofia
A few days later, Leo and Sofia were at the GCPD. Sofia told Leo that she needed to talk with Jim about "grownup things." Coincidentally Harvey was also there too to check on Detective Harper.
"Morning Cap," Detective Harper said when she saw Jim.
"Harper, Harvey," Jim greeted and asked Harper, "How's the shoulder?"
"This? Oh, just a scratch," Harper responds, "You got a couple of visitors."
When Jim looked he saw it was Sofia and Leo Falcone in his office. Harvey also noticed to and was the first one to the office and Jim was behind him. Leo was the first one to notice them and ran straight to Harvey.
"Daddy," Leo said, hugging Harvey's legs.
"Hi Leo," Harvey said rubbing his head. This is going to take some getting used to.
"Harvey why don't you take Leo while I talk with Jim," Sofia said not taking her eyes off of Jim.
Harvey frowns wondering what his ex-lover wanted with Jim Gordon, but decided not press it as he wanted to talk with Leo some more.
"Come on Leo," Harvey said holding his hand out to Leo, who took it.
After walking out of the office Harvey decides to ask Leo about his relationship with Sofia. He wanted to make sure Leo was being treated okay, because Harvey had a strange feeling that there was something not quite right about Sofia, he just didn't know why.
"Leo can I just you a few questions about your mommy?" Harvey asked his son.
"Okay," Leo said.
"Is your mommy good to you?" Harvey asked, "Does she treat you right?"
"Yes, she does," Leo said with a smile, "Mommy is nice."
"Oh, good," Harvey said and then asked, "Has she ever done anything like hit or hurt you in someway."
Leo was silent for a while before saying, "I can't tell you."
"Why not?" Harvey asked concerned.
"Because Mommy will get angry," Leo said, "Mommy is scary when she's angry."
This made Harvey frown deeply, wondering what happened for the last six years. Harvey was about to ask something else, but Sofia came.
"Come on Leo, it's time to go home," Sofia said with a disappointed look on her face.
Sofia took Leo's hand and walked away from Harvey without saying a word to him. Leo looked back at Harvey with a sad look.
When Sofia and Leo got back home, Penguin was there waiting.
"Hello Sofia," Penguin said calmly.
Sofia and Leo were both surprised to see Penguin there, but Sofia chuckles.
"Oswald. What a pleasant surprise," Sofia said with a smile.
"Oh, I assure you, dear, there is nothing pleasant about it," Penguin said in a calm angry voice.
Sofia and Leo looked behind them and saw Victor Zsaz walking up to them. When Penguin noticed Leo, his look softened with the young Falcone child.
"Leo, Martin is out in the limo," Penguin said, "Why don't you two spend a little time together, while I talk with your mother."
Leo looked at his mother as if asking her permission to go.
"Go ahead Leo," Sofia said.
"Thank you," Leo said and walked out the door.
After Leo was gone Oswald spoke. "I have continually been suspicious of you And yet, at every turn, you always had the perfect explanation to put my mind at ease. But now, I finally have proof that you are my enemy," Penguin states, "You lied to me. You told me you hated Gordon." Walking closer he says quietly, "You are his lover. Martin saw you kissing him after the party."
But Sofia tried to deny it. "That's-that's ridiculous. I'm not sure what Martin thought he saw, but I can assure you, it was no kiss," Sofia tries to assure Oswald with a smile.
"Enough of your lies," Penguin snapped, "Our entire friendship, the intimacies we shared, they were nothing more than a pathetic charade."
Sofia shook her head, still trying to assure him that it wasn't true, "No, Oswald, I swear. I swear, I care for you deeply," Sofia tells him.
Penguin walked away from Sofia. "Ha! Oh, I wish that were true. Mm. But... after Martin told me about you and Gordon, I did a little digging into your boyfriend," Penguin states, "Interesting, he took a trip down South shortly before you and Leo arrived in Gotham."
"Coincidence? I think not," Victor said shaking his head.
Sofia responded by putting her head down and gave a little nod.
"So you see, I know that the two of you have been plotting to destroy me from the very beginning," Penguin states with a smirk.
Sofia's demeanor then completely changed, "Bravo, Oswald. Do you know I was warned you were a mastermind?" she said coldly and then clicked her tongue, "Turns out, you were an easy mark. It is truly amazing what you can accomplish with goulash and a good foot rub."
Penguin frowns. "Now I see the real you," Penguin said disappointed with a sniffle, "I was blind to your manipulations. But today I'm going to correct that mistake. The only exception to it is your son, I can promise you that he will be fine. You will tell me the full extent of your plan. If your father was involved, which of my captains you have turned, and how you intend to rid me from the city."
"Bring him out," said Victor scratching his face with one finger.
"Allow me to introduce you to The Dentist," Penguin said and then Sofia looked to see a tall bald man with glasses carrying a bag. "And he is not the kind who gives out lollipops after the visit," Penguin adds.
