This is in the future after Sofia gets taken down and put in a coma. I was also inspired by the Halloween episode of Criminal Minds, with Aaron and Jack.

Today was my birthday, which I enjoyed.

Happy Halloween

After Sofia Falcone was left in a coma the courts decided since Harvey Dent is Leo's birth father, he should be given custody of the boy. Harvey immediately said yes to it, not wanting to miss out on anymore of his son's life. But with how work was for him and how he sometimes would have to drop off Leo at the Narrows for Lee to watch him when he wasn't at school. Harvey didn't like leaving Leo at the Narrows, but he couldn't find anyone else to watch Leo and he also knew that nobody there would dare harm Leo unless they wanted to end up dead. Because of all this, Harvey sometimes felt like he wasn't doing enough for Leo.

It was the night before Halloween, Harvey was currently finishing carving out the jack-o-lantern as he was waiting for Leo to put on his costume. They were going to be meeting up with Alberto Falcone and his daughter, Catherine, Leo's cousin at the community center for a Halloween bash. Despite Harvey not trusting the Falcone, he was willing to tolerate him for the sake of the kids and he also was able to get the weekend off and just wanted to enjoy it with Leo.

He was also planning on taking Leo trick or treating the next night, which would be his first time, since Sofia never took him trick or treating. Before Halloween for Leo was just parties with family and close friends, which were usually grownups, aside from Catherine.

"Leo are you almost ready? We've got to go," Harvey called out.

Leo came running out of his room in his regular clothes.

"Where's your costume Leo?" Harvey asked.

"The hat is itchy," Leo answered.

"Did you try the padding?" Harvey asked.

"Daddy I don't want to be Zorro anymore," said Leo.

"You don't? Why not?" Harvey asks.

Leo shrugs, "I don't know. I just don't."

"Well you're going to have to make up your mind by tomorrow," Harvey told him, "Okay?"

"Okay," Leo said.

"You did a good job on the cookies," Harvey said, referring to the Halloween cookies they made earlier. "Especially for your first time."

"Together, right?" Leo asked with a thumbs up.

"Together, right," Harvey confirms with a nod giving Leo a high five.

"Can I have one?" Leo asked.

"You want a cookie?" Harvey asked.

"Yes," Leo answers.

"I don't know. Can I have a cookie?" Harvey asked.

Leo nods with a smile.

"What do you want a black cat, white ghost, bat or a pumpkin?" Havey asked.

"Black cat," Leo answers.

"Good choice," Harvey said, knowing that his son loved cats and was even thinking about getting Leo a cat for comfort and emotional support. Harvey then took a white ghost for himself.

When they got to the Gotham community center Leo smiled when he saw his uncle and cousin and ran over to hug them.

"Nice costume Cat," Leo said admiring the werecat costume.

"Thanks," Catherine said, but then frowned, "Where's your costume?"

"I decided that I didn't want to be Zorro," Leo said.

"Okay," Catherine said disappointed.

The Halloween bash was a lot of fun there was food, games, prizes and a lot of candy too. The kids enjoyed themselves, aside from a few people whispering about Alberto Falcone being there, which annoyed Catherine greatly, but Alberto told his daughter to not let it spoil their Halloween.

The next day when it was Halloween Leo finally decided on what hero he wanted to be for Halloween. Leo wanted to dress himself for it to be a surprise. Harvey was waiting in the kitchen for Leo to be ready.

"Daddy don't look," Leo said.

"I'm not looking," Harvey said, "Are you almost ready?"

"Yes," Leo answered.

"Do you need any help?" Harvey asks.

"No," Leo responds.

"Okay," Harvey said.

A moment later, Leo stepped out dressed in a light blue stripped dress shirt, black dress pants, a navy blue tie, that Leo tied on himself, a black dress jacket, black shoes and a light brown trench coat.

Harvey took a good look at his son's "costume" with surprise and said, "Well that's definitely not Zorro."

"He's not a real hero," Leo said.

"He's not. Okay I give up who are you suppose to be?" Harvey asked.

"I'm you Daddy," Leo said smiling.

Harvey had a look of surprise that slowly changed into a genuine smile. He walked up to Leo and hugged him tightly.

Harvey then picked his son up in his arms and said to him as they were going out the door, "Let's go get some candy for my little junior DA assistant."

While they were out, father and son came across Alberto and Catherine trick or treating. The cousins ran up to each other and hugged.

"Wow, Leo, you look great," said Catherine in her werecat costume.

Leo smiles, "You too."

The cousins ended up finish their trick or treating together and even met up with Martin and Ethan, who was dressed up as a skeleton and Firefly. And as Harvey watched Leo he smiled to himself and said, "I'm very lucky to have him as my son."
