"Hang on, you're just going to propose like that?!" asked a shocked Maura who sat her food down on the coffee table before standing.

"I did have something planned," said Jane.

"But then you dropped that bomb on me so I figured I would go ahead and ask, seeing how you are already going to be moving in and everything," she said.

"I… I don't know what to say," said Maura.

"Well I'm hoping you say yes," said Jane while moving the box around.

"Jane," said Maura while looking at the ring. The diamond, of which, shone in the light of the room.

"Of course, I'd love to marry you," she said. The two then kissed before Jane put the ring on for Maura.

"It looks perfect on you," said Jane.

"I'm so glad that we started dating three years ago," said Maura as they both sat back down together.

"You were a little forceful when you were drunk," said Jane.

"Wait, you said that you don't remember that night!" said Maura who was blushing.

"I admit that I was drunk too, but over time I've been remembering a little at a time," said Jane.

"And I have never seen you like that before or since," she said.

"Get that out of your mind right this second!" said Maura as she lightly hit Jane who started to laugh.

"Sorry, but now that I remember I don't have any plans to forget anytime soon," said Jane as she wrapped her arms around Maura and pulled her close to her body.

"Plus, I plan to create more memories with you from now on, so why should I forget all the past memories?" she asked before placing a kiss to the side of Maura's neck.

"You're too much sometimes," said Maura with a deep red face.

"Thanks," said Jane. The two then kissed once more before getting back to eating their dinner.
