Janet Fraiser really didn't want to say anything after watching the horrific, yet surreal, scene erupt before her; having been warned after all. It also said bad things about the personally of the small purple haired child, or, rather, the possibly decades or even centuries mentally old thing in the shape of a child as she didn't react to the bloodletting that erupted. Thank God Janet had ensured Mayuko was looking elsewhere, 'standing guard' than watch the swift, merciless, yet methodical slaughter that their non-human companion, or superior at times, had unleashed on the now dead people in the Japanese shrine. Only the fact that those people had, in the future they'd been in, tortured and then murdered this…child…many, many, times…
'God. That is beyond disturbing to think on' she reminded herself again, standing up from the crouch she'd been in as Tarvek…jet-packed down the hill. While still looked as crazy as it sounded in her own head despite the many times she'd seen him do it. When she was with him it seemed less crazy…possibly because she could just pretend it wasn't happening by closing her eyes. Here though there was the jetpack flare of flames and a whole shrine now splashed with blood, guts, and bits of bone to remind her of how horribly real this all was. No aliens this time, but piles of gore that had been men and women moments before. Just that, and a very creepy looking child covered in that gore, and a disturbing smile upon her blood-splashed face.
'Creepy little monsters' she thought to herself about this particular place 'And big monsters too'
Everyone in the town getting killed was very good reason to let Tarvek 'off the leash' so to speak…
"Aiiiiiieeee!"
…she reminded herself again as screams filled the air from down the hill after the thunder of an armoured form impacting the ground. Then fell back into silence moments later for very obvious reasons, even if Janet couldn't see it. Her orc friend had proven exactly would occur when would be human assassins with uzis and pistols came up against his armoured non-human combat systems mere moment ago after all. She very much expected that the trees and stone below were now just as decorated with blood and horror as the shrine. But she pushed on, moving with rifle up to do a visual sweep that the area was clear before heading towards the decades-old-child to see about…helping maybe. Creepy she might be, but she was still a child, caught in a time-travelling-loop of horror as best Janet could understand it. It would drive anyone crazy, and this child had been a child ensuring it for times beyond count it seemed.
'In a place where she's probably with a crazy virus' was a further horrid thought, but Janet completed her check, lowering her rifle and then walking, carefully, towards the girl-priestess, Rika. Mayuko stayed where she was, as both Janet and Tarvek had told her, watching the side entrance path up the back of the hilly area. With a gun, much to Janet's concern, that Janet knew the girl barely knew how to use…but was enthusiastic about having it and going though this 'adventure' as the girl saw it. The fact that the teenager saw this as an adventure, after abandoning her home…spoke of how that homelife had been, despite how reticent the girl was in talking about that home and school life.
"Miss Rika…" she started to say, the girl turning and looking at Janet. Not fazed at all it seemed by Janet's stormtrooper-esque, albeit black clad, appearance. Or the fact the girl looked positively nightmarish as her face and odd religious clothing was covered in blood, even her hair. Something the girl seemed to remember, touching it and frowning while ignoring Janet. Emitting a sigh of all things as fog began to roll down the hills; just as she'd been warned but it was unnatural to see. Magic being real was absolutely terrifying when things like this happened and she could see it visibly happening, from the mists forming as if from the sky, then rolling, slowly, down over the area around her.
"Oh, I didn't think of that" the girl that had lived many lifetimes said, almost disgusted, or that and realising something "I'm usually dead after…right, shower…shower…"
…and then walked away from Janet as if she wasn't stepping over dead bodies, or that this was just a normal day at school. How screwed up was the poor thing?, that was Janet's view as she followed, doing what Tarvek had directed in keeping the girl safe and Mayuko under control. Another glance showed the lights of the town had vanished, extinguished by EMP device, and she could only shake her head. Time travel. Magic. Slaughter. Timeless children. This was all too insane, even for the Stargate programme!
As the girl seemed to be ignoring her, and shedding her clothing with a hint of embarrassment in that way of small children, yet also with a somewhat off adultness in her muttering. The child set Janet on edge at times, even more than the horned spirit child – at least that one had the decency too look as alien and uncanny as she seemed to think and act. Rika looked so normal, and had acted so at times at first, but what had just happened made it all stranger as Janet had feared. Instead she activated the 'pip-boy' on her wrist, activating the holographic displays on her motorcycle like soldier helmet's screens, showing a grid map as brought up by the drones Tarvek had deployed and what data his data his suit sent back.
'Decades, maybe centuries, more advanced that anything at the SGC' popped into her head again, seeing that, yes, the would-be assasians were now all dead and only the icons for herself, Mayuko, and Rika were currently nearby. Tarvek was already charging towards town as…
KraccckkTHHOOOOOOMMMMM
…the two vehicles the assassins had arrived in exploded down the hill, flashing flames and smoke that were devoured by fog as the world around Janet grew dark and misty. Yet it was a weak effect for her, her helmet 'illuminating' faintly, a soft white-blue colour, revealing the distance brighter than before, ensuring that Rika didn't vanish off ahead as the now nude girl walked under a showerhead, turning it on despite the cold air that must be about this night. The pip-boy even gave a temp reading after all, showing it on the helmet that it was dropping rapidly. Steam appeared though, hot water emerging from the outdoor showerhead…
'Why put that here?' she idly wondered, but no answers presented itself, beyond there was a…maybe play area nearby?
Yet it was relatively, simple to guard the strange child-adult as Janet went to a knee, ensuring her weapon was down but ready as she surveyed the woods while being in-front of the child and anyone that might come up the hill or from the forest. Ensuring said creepy child stayed alive and safe was her goal, Janet again checking the other, somewhat, less creepy child was okay came next "All okay Mayuko?"
"Yeah, yeah, stayin' ere. All fine" came the grumbling complaint a moment later over the comms, then silence again as the girl was annoyed at not charging off into insanity like Tarvek, but also wanting to be gone from this strange and surreal place just as Janet wished. There was just…
"Has he destroyed the clinic and rescued Satoshi?"
Janet resisted jumping, as the creepy child appeared beside her, a cloth rug rapped around her. Instead she held still, turning her head, weapon down and using a free hand to display Tarvek's feed "Well, he's…
"BURN! BURN! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
…and the horned 'goddess' was cheering on his violent insanity it seemed as flames and fire were displayed, time having passed as Janet had hyperfocused on standing watching it seemed. Tarvek had already reached the town, as had the town, dressed in paint and fake horns…the 'Irie Clinic' currently burning as he carried a…naked Japanese boy out of the clinic, injecting him with his injection gun thing…
'Fucking hell Tarvek!' Janet wanted to explain as he strode out in front of a group of civilians…
Then threw the barely conscious boy at a green haired girl "YOUR MATE IS RETURNED AND HEALTHY! ALL THANKS TO OYASHIRO-SAMA…"
"YOU!" and then pointed at a Japanese man, his voice booming out on the drone-feed, along with the frightened screaming, stomping crunch of metal armour, and….the green-haired girl's "THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU OYASHIRO-SAMA! SATOSHIII…."
"OYASHIRO-SAMA NOT LIKE YOU BEATING SATOKO! BUT IS VERY MERCIFUL…." Tarvek stated to the man, then…
A sickening crunch seemed to echo in Janet's ears as her 'superior' stepped on the Japanese man's leg after the man stumbled back, followed by a scream of agony "…AND LET YOU LIVE!"
Then waved at the terrified people, those whose weren't fleeing, or having fainted, or the children crowding around the green-haired girl who…
Who had an identical green-haired girl beside "He better remember"
…and Tarvek gestured again "AND YOU, AND YOU, WILL MARRY HIM, UM, KEICHI! TOGETHER! HAREM ENDING!! NO JEALOUSY OR MURDER ALLLOW!"
Janet looked at the creepy child priestess nodding "Good, they did!"
"DON'T MAKE OYASHIRO-SAMA COME BACK!" she watched him boom out to the crowd, then stomped away, jet-packs igniting as the fog thickened around him and then, invisible to the crowd, horned child-goddess cheering happily on his back "UP! UP! AND OYASHIRO-SAMA AWAY!!!"
'Oh, God, the sooner we leave this crazy place the better!' was all Janet could think to herself as Tarvek flew up in the air, heading back towards them…
