His temporary workshop had an outside area, a cross of a horse stable and outdoor sheltered forge. That had been where the fire had started, and Tarvek had simply knocked out most of it; converting it into a training yard, but, more importantly, a shrine. Shrine with consecrated ground, though that was something he was in the process of doing as it would take a little time, several days at least. There was even a crude wooden shelter roof over it now, though he really should have built higher than waist high walls to keep gawkers from looking in from the street. Thankfully the shrine, as His God, was dual in nature, with an opposite but linked shrine on the other side of the wall to the tiny library Tarvek had created from gifted and purchased native tomes and maps.

Of course the presence of two human city guardsmen outside of his and his two companions temporary home served to lower that interest…somewhat. As sounds, like the pistol shots currently taking place as Mayuko fired one at the opposite wall under Janet's guidance for now. Not that Janet as a medicus was the best shot, but she needed the practice herself, and was good at teaching the basics to Mayuko as they fired at target sheets they'd set up. There was no need to hide such things now, and training was something that would give him more confidence the pair could defend themselves with such weapons in public. Janet, medicus focus or not was at least already trained to some level, and Mayuko…

He glanced at her as he finished a series of blade forms with a grunt, lowering the bastard sword. Mayuko was a natural for more agility and dexterity based combat styles, when one combined her natural flexibility and mild sociopathic tendencies as Janet viewed Mayuko showed much promise for training as Tarvek's eyes. With the dangers they had faced, and would face, having her being able to have adequate gun handling would be a start before making her melee abilities serviceable. Knives were the way to go there he'd decided, along with maybe with the spear, as her armour would need to be light and flexible. Tarvek was already planning, well, sketching only for now, out such for himself, her, and Janet now they nearly had a workshop and materials. Then turned, glancing towards the metal gate into the training yard, seeing an orc approach. Well, an orc with wolf headdress and two warriors escorting him, both holding back with two human guards as the orc entered.

Tarvek turned his head to Janet and Mayuko, a questioning look from the older female, and he held up a hand, shaking his head to communicate he'd deal with this for now. Then turned back to the approaching orc, waving him to enter as he brought up the blade, resting it upon his right shoulder, standing calmly in only his boots, trousers, undershirt, and light armoured tabard. Sufficient for defence for now, and he looked at the shaman advisor to the Warchief named Thrall. Rehgar, with further name of Earthfury indicating…something from native culture that Tarvek wasn't yet entirely sure of. Likely ability or clan status, though with the higher leader of the Horde simply called 'Thrall' of all things…he wasn't sure yet. All he could do was opt for politeness, as this was the 'trusted' of the Warchief's advisors seemingly. The one he'd been told spoke for said Warchief. Not like the other one, the red-brown skinned warrior named Garrosh "Greetings honourable shaman, welcome to my workshop and yard"

The green-skinned orc walked foward, powerfully built, though his armour was…poor in many ways. Covering arms, but leaving much of the under arms, chest, and nerve clusters uncovered in the way the native orc warriors seemed to favour. Favour, but not being monks, nor mage-warriors with spells like stone-skin or arcane armour, in a dangerous way to Tarvek's way of thinking. Impressive pauldrons, intimidating spiky armour on gauntlets, but not entirely practical in lesser economies of movement that came to combat. He didn't criticise of course, as several of the humans and dwarves even, albeit a minority so far, had similar inclinations. Instead he just tucked it away within his mind, noting where to strike should the need ever arrive. Not today hopefully as the other orc was approaching calmly, no weapon held, nodding as he stopped a respectful distance away, but close enough to converse properly, from Tarvek.

"Shaman Tav" came back from the other orc, looking around, nodding almost to himself as he rested arms across his broad chest "This is place…"

"A consecrated shrine ground to my Lord, yes Shaman Rehgar" Tarvek paused, shrugged as Mayuko returned, with several cracks of small thunder, to shooting practice "A training yard as well, for such is appropriate for the War God to watch over"

That and leech off the local ley-line, but best to leave that unsaid…

Rehgar gave a grunting nod "We had expected as such, and training your females"

"Yes, now we need not hide such devices" he paused, gave an annoyed look "Though it does not cause the ceasing of would-be inventors and knowledge thieves"

'I WILL HAVE YOUR BABIES IF YOU TELL ME YOUR SECRETS!' from a gnomish woman yesterday was but the more extreme reactions from such sorts when his power armour, guns, and other such devices were known or suspected. Not only was he the strange foreign orc, but also the source of improved muskets, and maybe other devices in the eyes of gnomes, and for gold for designs in the eyes of goblins. Hence why there were always a pair of human guardsmen at street to prevent such break in efforts. There would be no more 'hiding amongst the natives' in Theramore at the very least.

"I have not heard spies called before"

"These are not spies" Tarvek clarified with a grunt, sheathing his blade as the other orc spoke in a bemused, but powerful, tone "Merely annoying scholars that do not wish to pay for such things. Or offering to pay in things one does not want. Your Warchief, and the Lady Proudmoore, paid for such knowledge after all, and one would not cheapen that price"

The shaman before him gave a grumble of approval along with a nod "Aye, best not do that. Not spies then as you say. That is not why I have come to you, not entirely"

'I figured as much' Tarvek thought, but gave the expected nod as the other orc glanced at Mayuko's shooting, the sound of the rope pulley holder pulling the target towards her and Janet coming from behind him "Seeking more? Promises were made…"

"No, another will seek such" the other answered firmly, and Tarvek understood. If the backstabbing was amongst this Alliance, then it was inevitable the Horde's few ones within the city would do the same "My Warchief and this city's ruler intend to make announcement soon, tomorrow, or the morn after, depending on when a…peace summit occurs here. Hellscream is likely on his way here"

"There is much dislike in your politics Shaman Rehgar Earthfury. Or, rather, one dislikes being drawn into them, even if it was part of an agreed upon price" Tarvek said firmly. That wasn't entirely true of course, as the internal politics of this realm, just as it had on the past earth, as on Janet's, served in giving a negotiation position for him to work within. It was still annoying, and not something he enjoyed, but it was covered, in theory, within his Pathfinder training "Having feasted with thee…one knows the type"

In a way, for this Garrosh fellow was a fellow that leaned too much into barbaric martial glory as some would call it, and as the Shrouded Lord would frown upon. Attack, attack, and attack everyone. Even now, as this world appeared to be undergoing a generalised, if slow, societal collapse as best Tarvek now understood. The human kingdoms, as well as the elven ones, from before the orc invasion were a shadow of what they had been, or now filled with undead, or monsters, while a Lich Lord was trying to kill everyone. Even this Horde seemed to be a chaotic mess of escaped refugees of a defeated warbands, idiots with dark powers they didn't understand, and various necromantic inclined, but 'free willed' sorts. While fighting an undead force. And…then there was these idiots in their upper command structure that decided that, yes, NOW, was the time to….FIGHT EVERYBODY!

If this Garrosh Hellscream was, as it seemed, of that mind, then he was an enemy, or at least opponent, of Tarvek's faith in many ways…

"And speak, and they shall appear" he finished seeing three orcs now had arrived. Had these pairs of emissaries ran here to get ahead of each other?

They probably had Tarvek figured, seeing nervous human guards watching the three orcs, while the two orc guards glared at two other orc guards and the leader of the trio. Who was glaring at the orc standing before Tarvek. The Pathfinder ignored it stoically, as they were glaring at each other, not at him…at least not yet, as he shrugged, waving entry to the other orc 'advisor' to their Warchief. Who was very angered, clearly, by having whatever scheme of his being thwarted in this manner….
