Chapter 101

Hiccups POV:

It's been an hour since I dealt with Megaera allowing Athena and Kampe to come into Athens to both take Megaera down to Tartarus and take care of the remainder of Cronus's forces. Once they'd done that I got to work on helping the people by first gathering all the remaining people in the city and those who I evacuated onto the island. After I had gathered them all up in the center of city I informed them all of what happened making them all cheer my name, which brings us to where I am now. Standing on a large slab of marble rubble as I looked out at the cheering crowd. Seeing their joy made me just that much sadder however since I had to bring down their happiness with what I was about to tell them. I looked down at Toothless who was standing next to me and signaled him to let out a few plasma blasts to quiet everyone down and it successfully made everyone quiet down and stop talking as their attention was fully on me. I gave Toothless a smile before I turned back to the people and announced.

"I THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PRAISE BUT THIS WAS MERELY A SINGLE BATTLE AND THE WAR BETWEEN US AND CRONUS HAS ONLY BEGUN!" I saw the fear on their faces making me frown. "NOW LISTEN, THE GODS HAVE SUMMONED ME BACK TO GREECE AND ARE HAVING SOMETHING THAT SHALL HELP ENSURE CRONUS REMAINS TRAPPED AND NEVER DARKENS THIS WORLD AGAIN!" Everyone cheered at this until I held up my hand to silence the crowd. "IN THE MEAN TIME I NEED YOU ALL TO EVACUATE THE CITY OF ATHENS AND TAKE SHELTER IN THE NEIGHBORING CITY OF KÓRINTHOS WHERE THE KING HAS BEEN INFORMED ABOUT WHAT HAS HAPPENED AND WILL TAKE YOU ALL IN UNTIL CRONUS HAS BEEN DEALT WITH!" It was then someone yelled out.

"WHY NOT SPARTA THEN AS IT'S MORE HEAVILY GUARDED AND THE SPARTANS ARE KNOWN TO BE ONE OF GREECE'S MOST FIERCE WARRIORS?" I looked down in sadness before looking back up at them.

"I'M AFRAID SPARTA WAS THE FIRST CITY THAT FELL TO CRONUS ON HIS QUEST TO CONQUEROR THE WORLD AFTER HE DEFEATED THE AMAZONS!" Murmurs spread through the crowd before someone asked.

"IF SUCH GREAT ARMIES HAVE FALLEN TO CRONUS AND HIS FORCES WHAT MAKES YOU BELIEVE YOU CAN DEFEAT HIM?" There were yells of agreement as I sighed.

"THE GODS HAVE FAITH IN ME AND WITH CRONUS ONE OF HIS GENERALS NOW ROTTING IN TARTARUS IT'LL BE EASIER FOR ME TO GET TO HIM AND BESIDES THAT!" I released my starsword and held it up. "THIS SWORD WAS FORGED FROM A STAR AND WAS BOTH BLESSED AND ENCHANTED BY THE GODS THEMSELVES TO ENABLE ME TO IMPRISON CRONUS FOR ALL ETERNITY AND I ASSURE YOU ALL I WILL DEFEAT CRONUS OR SPEND THE REST OF ETERNITY ROTTING IN TARTARUS FOR MY FAILURE!" Everyone cheered at this making me smile. "FOR NOW HOWEVER I NEED YOU ALL TO HELP ME FIND SOME WAGONS THAT SHALL HOLD TOGETHER THROUGH YOUR JOURNEY, HORSES OR CATTLE TO PULL THEM ALONG WITH ANY FORM OF SUPPLY YOU FEEL YOU MIGHT NEED AND IF YOU FEEL THERE MIGHT NOT BE ENOUGH FOOD OR WATER TO GO AROUND THEN DON'T WORRY AS MY SHIP IS FULL OF SUPPLIES THAT I SHALL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO GIVE YOU FOR THE LONG JOURNEY AHEAD!" Everyone cheered at this before I began separating the people into groups so we could get ready for them to leave.

Nightfall

Night had fallen over the city and as such the roads were more dangerous with the possibilities of some of Cronus's forces waiting or bandits who would take advantage of both the carnage and darkness to attack them to not only loot them but possibly do unthinkable things to the women. It was for these reasons we had set up a camp in the clearing where the meeting took place so the people could take off in the morning. Before we set up camp however we were able to get quite a bit of work done with the preparations for tomorrow. We were lucky to find a few stables that hadn't been raided so they still had horses, wagons and with the horses and cows we found running around the city in fear there were more than enough to take everyone to Kórinthos. Twenty of my Anubis warriors guarded these carriages along with the animals that were going to help people get to Kórinthos while Heatwave and Sahara in their sand forms lay beneath them.

As for my other dragons, my singetails were patrolling the skies in shifts while my remaining dragons and warriors were all perched on the roofs of the surrounding buildings acting as sentinels for any possible threat that may try and attack us in the night. Besides them standing guard I also had all paths into the camping area blocked with fallen marble rubble to help prevent any enemy forces that may try to march into the camp. To describe the camp, I'd say it was rather shabby but considering it was only going to be up for one night and then left alone I'd say it would serve its purpose well enough. There were multiple fires with people surrounding them with a few of these fires being used to roast meat that was being rotated over it. Besides the fires there were a few beds made from hay and blankets all resting under small shelters which were nothing more than blankets being held up on one end by some sticks. In these shelters the elderly and the children were resting after today's events while everyone else enjoyed what food they had knowing it had to be rationed for tomorrow.

Presently I was sitting down on the marble block I had made the announcements on looking over the camp at all the people. Seeing all of these people brought back memories of what had happened earlier that day after I had made the announcements to the people a few of them came to me informing me about how members of their families had been taken by Cronus's forces and hadn't reappeared. I informed them of what Athena told me and assured them that Cronus would more than likely keep them alive as hostages which got the people to back off since I didn't have the heart to tell them that holding the people as hostages was likely the least likely reason they were captured alive. Aside from that a lot of the children came up asking me what I'd been doing since my last visit to Athens and how I got my dragons and Anubis warriors. I told them about how I know how to train dragons and of my adventures in Egypt before they asked me to tell them the stories of my adventures from around the world. Fortunately, their parents or relatives came by and collected them so I could focus on helping out with the wagons and animals. I looked around at the people and prayed to the gods that when this was all over they'd be able to rebuild their lives with everything that's happened. As I sat there Toothless walked up next to me and crooned making me smile as I put my hand on his head and rubbed it while saying.

"I'm alright bud just hoping these people will be able to put their lives back together when all this is over." He just nuzzled my chest. "I know bud I just need to focus on the problem at hand and get some sleep for now." He lied down behind me and I lay against his body as he draped his wing over me and I let slumber claim me.

Next day

It was the beginning of the afternoon with me and my dragons were up in the air hovering while we watched as the wagons carrying the civilians along with their supplies with armed soldiers walking next to them slowly disappeared into the distance. As they disappeared from sight I prayed to every Greek god to watch over them and allow them to arrive in Kórinthos safely with little difficulty. I sighed when they finally disappeared from sight before having Toothless turn around so we could begin our long journey to Sparta where I'd hopefully be able to stop Cronus once and for all. As we flew through the air I looked down at the land passing us by beneath us and wondered what unspeakable acts Cronus was working on in Sparta now.

Sparta

Nobodies POV:

Since Cronus had invaded Sparta with his army the once great city that took pride in breeding some of Greece's most fearsome and powerful warriors had gone through some major changes. The buildings that were once homes for the people of Sparta had all been looted of anything of value by Cronus's forces that now patrolled the baron streets that were once full of life. As for the people who once called this city home, they had all been imprisoned alongside the amazons all awaiting whatever fate Cronus had install for them and those who weren't imprisoned were hard at work under the watchful eyes of Cronus's forces doing whatever needed to be done such as forging new weapons, carrying things, pulling wagons and so much more. Watching all this from a black marble throne that looked over the once great city was none other than the titan Cronus who was double the size of a giant, wore a black toga that showed off some of the hair on his chest, sandals on his feet and golden bands around his wrists all while his baldhead reflected the sun. The most eye-catching thing however was the golden belt wrapped around his waist or to be more precise the golden belt with the glowing red gem in the center of it that seemed to ooze power.

Cronus sat on his thrown looking over the prize that was his latest conquest with his fingers intertwined in front of his mouth as he waited for news about his general Megaera and her attempts to either recruit Heracles or end his life. Should Megaera have ended his life she had orders to bring his body right to him as he wished to possess Heracles golden arm or to be more precise the weapons it held. Cronus knew his children were working on something to imprison him and the key was the sword Heracles wielded. Should Cronus be able to get not only the sword but the other magical weapons he wielded then he could alter their magic so they'd answer to him and it would make his conquest of the world all the easier while also increasing his power. As for Heracles dragons, he knew that they would make fine additions to his army raining terror down on the mortals alongside his harpies after a little training under his power. He smiled at the mental image before he was brought out of his thoughts by the sight of Alecto and Tisiphone approaching his throne with their heads down. When they reached ten feet away from his throne they bowed as he nodded and asked.

"What troubles you both my generals?" Alecto looked up.

"Megaera has been captured and taken to Tartarus by Kampe lord Cronus." Cronus's eyes widened before he stood up and roared.

"WHAT?" The two remaining furies visibly shuddered in fear of him.

"Heracles and her did battle after he turned down your offer to join you." Cronus clenched his fists at this. "She underestimated him and he was able to destroy the gem that kept the gods at bay allowing Athena to enter the city with Kampe before Megaera was captured by Athena and then dragged away to Tartarus by Kampe while Athena destroyed the forces still in the city." Cronus growled as he clenched his fists at the news before sighing while relaxing his hands as he sat back down on his throne.

"It matters not for the forces can easily be replaced and once the gods have fallen we shall free Megaera but for now we cannot take the chance of being imprisoned on an attempt to free her." They both sighed and nodded knowing what he said was true but they still mourned for their sisters' imprisonment as Cronus turned to Tisiphone and asked. "And what of your mission Tisiphone?" She smiled at Cronus.

"The beasts have been captured lord Cronus." He smiled.

"Show me the alpha forward then." She turned around.

"BRING THE BEAST BEFORE LORD CRONUS!" Two giants walked forward holding ropes that lead to a white Griffin between them that was struggling against the ropes around its body. "This beast put up quite a fight to defend its flock but once it went down the others were easily subdued."

"Excellent work Tisiphone." Alecto stepped forward.

"My lord if I may ask how you intend to train the beasts and control them as I doubt they shall be trained to obey so easily?" Cronus gave a smile that would make even a god of fear shiver.

"The beasts will obey as will the amazons, Spartans and all the citizens we've captured after a little 'talk' with me so they know the power I wield they shall do as ordered." The furies still looked unconvinced but Cronus ignored their looks and continued by saying. "For now, however Hiccup Haddock must be dealt with as he may be too great a threat to my plans to be left alone." Tisiphone then asked.

"What should be done lord Cronus?"

"He shall no doubt try to make his way here to Sparta in order to confront me but I have a plan to deal with him should he arrive." The furies smiled until he said. "I need more time to prepare however so I will need to send some of the troops to slow him down." He stood up. "Go and summon the minions so I may choose who to send out but leave the giants and the griffin." They both bowed as Alecto said.

"As you wish lord Cronus." They both walked off leaving only Cronus along with the giants holding down the griffin. "Should Hiccup survive against my forces I might once again to convince him to join me directly this time but should he refuse I shall have to deal with him myself." Cronus was brought out of his thoughts by the screech of the griffin as it struggled in its bonds while a bone-chilling smile formed on his face as he looked down at the griffin. "As for you my dear little birdy, you're going to be the first griffin to join my forces after we've done a little work so you'll know who you serve." The griffin screeched and tried to lunge at him only to be held back by the ropes as Cronus glared. "We'll have to start by doing something about that attitude." He then smiled. "In fact, why don't we start now?" He began laugh in a way that would scare even Zeus as his shadow fell on the griffin that had tried backing up only to be held in place by the ropes but the giants looked ready to back in fear as well but their fear of what Cronus would do to them if they did so far surpass their current fear.

3 hours later

Hiccups POV:

I was with my dragons sitting on a field next to the road giving my dragons a chance to rest after flying the entire morning from Athens on our way to Sparta to face Cronus. My dragons and Plutarach were all lying down circled around me but still giving me enough space to walk around freely. I used this space to practice with my weapons and was now in a sparring match with three of my Anubis warriors using my starsword and eagle shield since my sword would be needed to defeat Cronus. I ducked under the blade of one of the axes when my dragons and Plutarach all sat up and began growling in a direction. I knew this meant someone or something was coming this way and considering my Anubis warriors turned their attention from me towards another direction whatever it was might be a threat. I walked to the front of my dragons in the direction they were facing with my Anubis warriors following closely behind ready to fight. No sooner did I stand ready did the distant sound of screams in the distance fill the air and using my eagle eye I saw the screams were coming from a large group of people who were running down the road. When I looked behind them I saw they were right to be running in fear as hot on their heels were three giants along with a small group of fifteen undead legionaries with four minotaur's. I quickly placed my hand onto the ground and summoned seven more Anubis warriors before I mounted Toothless and said.

"Take to the sky's guys and get those people out of there." They all roared and took off as I turned to my Anubis warriors. "Help me take care of those beasts and try to get the people out of there." They nodded and charged towards the beasts with Toothless flying at top speeds towards them with everyone following closely behind and when we were close I turned to my dragons. "Swoop down to grab the people and take them to safety while me and the Anubis warriors deal with the beasts."

They all roared and immediately got ready as I released my spirit bow and loaded a fire arrow, I pulled it back and let it fly as I watched. It landed between the people and the beasts before a wall of fire burst from the ground cutting the beasts off from the people and setting a single Minotaur ablaze as it ran through the flames just as they sprouted up. After that my dragons began diving and grabbing the people before placing them on Bellows back before swooping back down to get more of the people. The people screamed when they were picked up until I yelled at them we were there to help but they still looked uneasy. I decided the best way to show them was to take out the giants that were making their ways to the flames since they were large enough to step over them. I took out a hydra blood arrow and took aim at one of the beasts at the back and let the arrow fly and watched as it imbedded itself in the chest of the giant to the left as I took out another hydra arrow. As I took aim the first giant I had hit fell to the ground dead crushing two undead legionaries that let out roars of pain as they were crushed under the giant's weight. I then let the arrow fly at the giant to the right and was able to nail it in the left pectoral leaving only one left but that one was slower than the other two so it was farther away from the flames. It was then I heard screeches from above and looked up to see a small flock of harpies flying towards us so I turned back to my dragons and Plutarach that had just finished collecting the last of the people and said.

"SEAR, YOU LEAD THE SINGETAILS INTO BATTLE AGAINST THE HARPIES ALONGSIDE PLUTARACH AND REAPER!" They growled and nodded before taking off towards them as I turned to the remaining dragons. "THE REST OF YOU PROTECT BELLOW AND HELP GET HIM AND THE PEOPLE TO SAFETY AND GUARD THEM WHEN HE'S LANDED!" They all growled and nodded before they took off away from the action as I looked down and saw my Anubis warriors were getting closer to the now dying flames making me smile before I looked down at Toothless. "Bud fly close to the giant and get ready to throw me towards its chest and then go help the others deal with the harpies." He looked back and crooned as I put my spirit bow and released my crystal spear with the metal end facing forward. "Don't worry bud I've taken on worse creatures." He shook his head. "Toothless it'll be fine."

He shook his head and dived towards the giant before quickly turning to the side throwing me off towards the giants' chest with my spears metal end pointing at it. As I dived I let out my battle cry gaining the attention of the giant that looked up at me but by that point it was too late for it. I landed against the beast spear first with the metal end sinking deeper and deeper into the chest right into the heart until I think it came out the other end. The giant fell back to the ground dead just as my Anubis warriors arrived and attacked the undead legionaries while the three remaining minotaur's began approaching from all sides. The closest one ran at with its fists raised as I pulled my spear out of the giant and quickly jumped back to avoid the minotaur's fists coming down on me. As its fists hit the giants' dead body I quickly took the opportunity to stab the minotaur in the neck with the metal end of my spear. I watched as it quickly covered the hole in its neck trying to stop the blood as it dropped to its knees before collapsing dead. I smiled at the sight until I was rammed in the side by one of the remaining minotaur's throwing me off the giants' body along with knocking my spear out of my hand. I groaned in pain as I stood up just as the minotaur walked up and then proceeded to grab me by the back the lions pelt and then lift me up to its face. It roared in my face as I glared before I quickly reached into my hydra blood arrow quiver, took one arrow out and then slammed it into the eye of the minotaur making it roar in pain as it let me go and fell back. I quickly turned to face the remaining minotaur that was charging at me while roaring giving me the opportunity to throw the arrow at it with the tip facing the beast. The arrow went into its mouth before the minotaur dropped its jaw on the arrow and began chewing making me smile as it began chewing while still walking towards me but then dropped to the ground dead from the hydra blood. With all the Minotaur's dealt with I turned my attention to the undead legionaries only to see the last of them being cut open by my Anubis warriors and smiled. I turned to see if there were any remaining harpies to deal with only to see the last of those flying beasts fall from the sky while smoking as my dragons were flying towards me. I let out a sigh of relief knowing that was the end of this battle but there'd no doubt going to be a whole lot more trouble in the future but for now I had to go and make sure the people were alright.

Half an hour later

I had sent my Anubis warriors back to the underworld for now and regrouped with all my dragons that had been fighting the harpies before we all met up with Bellow and my other dragons. After we landed I helped all the people off Bellow and I could tell they were nobles if their silk clothes and the jewels they were wearing was anything to go by. This brings us to where I am now dealing with the people all shaking my hand and giving me pats on the back for saving them as they surrounded me. I sighed as the last of them thanked me before I pointed down the road and said.

"You're welcome for the help and if you keep going down this road you should be fine." One of the men with short brown hair wearing white silk with a leather belt that had a golden buckle stepped forward.

"There's really no reason we have to part ways so soon." I raised an eyebrow.

"What do you mean?"

"I think it would be good if you and your dragons escorted us all to the next city." There were murmurs of agreement.

"I'm sorry but I have to get to Sparta to deal with Cronus so people his forces can be stopped and people can begin rebuilding their lives."

"If that's the case then you could just give us the dragons." I felt my eyes widen at what he was saying.

"Excuse me?"

"I said you could always give us your dragons to take us to the city." Before I could reply he continued. "Rest assured when we meet again you will be paid handsomely for the beasts."

"They're not for sale and I'm going to need them to help keep Cronus's forces at bay while I deal with Cronus himself."

"Very well but I'm sure that you could spare a few of them."

"No, I'm going to need all the help I can get in order to defeat Cronus."

"Oh, please I'm sure you could spare a few and if a few should die then I'm sure you could find more." I felt the urge to punch this man growing. "It's just like with my daughter."

"What?"

"Well when Cronus's forces first attacked our home I pushed my daughter into his forces to buy myself time to escape but it doesn't matter since I can have more when this is all over." I felt myself become sick to my stomach hearing this. "I mean sure she was my child but she can easily be repla-"I cut him off by grabbing him by the throat using my prosthetic arm and then lifting him up as I glared while he choked.

"Scum like you who'd sacrifice their own child and act if it was nothing make me sick." He smacked at my prosthetic in an attempt to get me to let go. "Let's see if these next words can get through that thick stone wall you call a skull into that wide-open space where your brain should be." He just choked. "My dragons are not for sale, never will be for sale, people like you disgust me and if you try and convince me to sell them I'll break every one of your bones one at a time both slowly and painfully." I gave him another glare. "Understand?" He nodded the best he could bringing a smile to my face. "Good!" Idropped him to the ground as he gasped for breath while I turned to those around me who were now slightly afraid. "Now all of you just keep going down this root until you can find the next city that hasn't being conquered by Cronus." They all nodded and began walking away while I mounted Toothless but before we could take off a girl with brown hair tied in a ponytail that rested over her shoulder stepped up and said.

"I know you most likely don't want to talk to us right now and would like to get going but before you go I just want to say a lot of us have faith in you and pray the gods watch over you in the coming battle."

I nodded in thanks before turning to face ahead of me and got ready to take off but as we were about to take off the girl leaned up and kissed my cheek. I turned to her with a raised eyebrow but she just gave me a smile along with a wink before walking back to the group. I sighed and shook my head wondering if I'd ever understand women of any culture before we continued onto Sparta to hopefully bring an end to Cronus and his forces.

Sparta

Nobodies POV:

Cronus sat on his thrown looking over his troops of Minotaur's, banshees, undead legionaries, giants and Cyclops all standing in front of his throne as he wondered who he should send out to deal with Hiccup and his beasts while also waiting for the remains of a small legion he sent out to capture people from a small town. A banshee had come by earlier to inform him that a few nobles had escaped but a small group of his minions had gone after them. It was then he looked past his forces to see Alecto and Tisiphone approaching and judging by the looks on their faces they were the bearers of bad news. They walked past the troops and made their way to the front where they bowed as he asked.

"What news do you bring for me my generals?" Alecto answered.

"My lord Cronus we bring news of the group that was sent after the nobles who fled the town."

"What is their status?" Tisiphone replied.

"I'm afraid they ran into Hiccup sir and with the help of his dragons and Anubis warriors he killed them all." Cronus growled.

"It's clear my regular forces will not be able to defeat him so easily so I'm going to need to think of something more creative to deal with him." His eyes then landed on one of the burning fire bowls next to his throne and a smilecame to his face. "I know just what to summon to handle him and his fire breathers." Cronus reached over and picked up the bowl before he held it in front of his face. "I believe we should send our own fire breathers to deal with him." He then blew into the flame, which slowly rose and took the form of five harpies made of pure fire, letting out screeches as they flapped their wings. "Go my little slaves and deal with Hiccup Haddock." They took off to the sky as Cronus turned to Alecto and Tisiphone. "Now that that's done how go my recruitment plans?" They smiled as Tisiphone answered.

"All is going according to plan lord Cronus and everything should be complete by tonight." He smiled.

"And the Griffin's?" Alecto answered.

"They shall all be fully equipped with their armor by nightfall as well lord Cronus." Cronus let out a short chuckle.

"Perfect!" As he went over his plans in his head the flaming harpies were blazing their way across the sky to find and kill Hiccup.

3 hours later

Hiccups POV:

Me and my dragons were now sitting on the shores of a small lake in a field with my tidal classes were enjoying the waters and I could tell they loved it but who could blame them since their skin was drying out. Of course their skin did this often when we were flying but that's why I always carried plenty of water to help keep them from drying out. I lay against Toothless as I watched Coral, Zap and Ray swim around the water in the lake enjoying the feeling of the water against their scales. I turned back to Toothless and said.

"We've got to enjoy the peace while it lasts bud since with Cronus on the move chances are the peace won't last long." He crooned and nuzzled me making me smile. "Thanks bud!" He crooned but then stood up glaring and growling across the lake. "What is it bud?" I noticed all my other dragons were getting up and growling, as did Plutarach who was screeching as I stood up. "Doesn't take a genius to know something's up." I quickly mounted Toothless as screeches pierced the air. "What was that?" We began hovering before I used my eagle eye to look in the direction the screech came from only to see five harpies but these ones looked to be made of fire. "CAREFUL GUYS SINCE THESE ARE IN NO WAY THE HARPIES WE'RE USED TO FIGHTING!" They all roared, as the harpies got closer before my singetails let out a fire blast at them but much to my shock they weren't just unharmed by the blasts, they seemed to absorb them making them grow bigger. "Guys don't hit them with flames since you're only making them stronger so for now just try and avoid their attacks until we can figure out a way to take them out."

They each growled as the harpies began their attack swooping down at us trying to grab my dragons and Plutarach with their flaming talons. One even tried to grab me but Toothless was faster and dived to help me avoid the talons that actually succeeded in making me sweat. Toothless and I took off down towards the ground as I wondered how to beat these things as the harpy gave chase to us while the others stalled my dragons and Plutarach. I had Toothless dive towards the lake when it hit me and I felt like slapping myself for not realizing it sooner that the answer to beating these things might be to extinguish their fire with water. After figuring this out I had Toothless slow down allowing the harpy to catch up slightly before we quickly pulled up, as we were two feet from the water making the water splash up. I turned back to see the harpy wasn't so lucky to avoid the water and flew right into it. The last thing I saw was the harpy trying to get out while it screeched as its body turned to steam before it sunk leaving only a black skeleton that turned to ash that floated on the water as it slowly fell apart. I smiled at the sight before I looked down at Toothless as I said.

"Let's go help the others bud."

He gave a growl as I released my spirit bow while taking out a water arrow. We flew towards the ongoing sky battle with my dragons, Plutarach and the harpies as I loaded the arrow and took aim at one that was gaining on Plutarach. I let the arrow fly towards where Plutarch was flying and smiled when the arrow struck the harpy as it flew after Plutarach. The harpy let out a shriek when the arrow that had become a blast of water struck it in the torso before it fell out of the sky. The shriek gained the attention of the remaining three harpies that turned to face their downed comrade as I loaded another water arrow but I never got the chance to launch it at one of my intended targets as the harpy in the middle let out its own fire just as I had launched it. The water and flames connected extinguishing the flames and turning the water into steam before the harpies flew through the steam while their bodies were mildly steaming themselves. As they followed us I remembered how we took Bellow down when we first met him and decided it was time for a repeat performance. I directed Toothless to dive towards the lake and from there I think he got the idea and began rapidly firing his plasma blasts into the water making it begin to steam up and making it near impossible to see which brought a smile to my face. Toothless let out a roar to find out how far we were from the water and then quickly pulled up a mere foot from the water but as expected the harpies weren't able to do the same making me smile as I heard splashes followed by screeches of pain. We flew out of the mist and met up with my other dragons and Plutarach before I said.

"Clearly Cronus is getting more determined to stop us which means we have to get to Sparta fast and if we leave now we should be able to get there by tomorrow sometime and the sooner the better." They all growled and nodded before we took off once more.

Nightfall

Sparta

Nobodies POV:

Cronus was sat on his throne tapping his fingers against the armrests of his throne as he waited for his flaming harpies to return. He hoped they were successful in dealing with Hiccup Haddock and if not then he would have to deal with him himself and he preferred not to get his hands dirty in such matters feeling he was above such tasks. It was then he noticed Alecto and Tisiphone were once again approaching his throne with their heads down. He let out an annoyed sigh when they reached him as he rubbed his eyelids with his right hands index finger and thumb as he said.

"I take it my fire harpies were defeated." They didn't answer verbally and nodded making Cronus growl. "I admit he's becoming rather troublesome but it makes him and his beasts all the more desirable to have on my side." Tisiphone replied.

"Indeed, lord Cronus but it is doubtful he'd join us at his own free will." Cronus smiled in a way that sent a shiver of fear up the spines of the furies.

"It doesn't have to be of his own free will since him being able to resist my power." Alectoreplied.

"But my lord he has protection against such control." Cronus chuckled.

"The power of the Arabian gods is nothing compared to the power I wield so their magic may take time to break but it shall fall before my power and both he and his beasts will be mine to command." He let out a low chuckle. "How goes the recruitment of the new soldiers by the way?" The furies both smiled as Tisiphone replied.

"The last of the new recruits are being equipped as we speak." Alecto then said.

"As are the griffins my lord." Cronus smiled.

"Good because I have plans for when Hiccup arrives that require them all to be ready." Tisiphone replied.

"Then we shall not disappoint you my lord." They then took off to continue with Cronus's orders leaving him alone with a smile on his face.

"Soon Hiccup, you shall join my forces but being the generous immortal, I am you shall live a life worthy of one of my generals but you shall answer only to me." He then let out a laugh that echoed in the area.

Morning

Hiccups POV:

Me, my dragons and Plutarach were flying over the yellow fields with the occasional tree that surrounded the once great city of Sparta. I used my eagle eye to get a better look at what was going on in the city only to find the streets pretty much deserted with black and red banners that had a symbol I recognized as the symbol of Cronus. Aside from that the city looked to be in pretty good condition but it just made things feel all the more unnerving since it was most likely all fake to make me feel at ease so I'll drop my guard. I smirked at the thought of me letting my guard down with everything that's been happening to me not just on this trip but also on my first trip here. I signaled my dragons to keep their guard up as we came to land outside of the city where the only buildings were some old farmhouses. I released my starsword and unfolded my eagleshield while getting into my battle stance and slowly made my way down the path past the buildings while Toothless stuck to my side with Reaper, Slasher stuck behind me, my shadow wings stuck to the roofs, my changewings blended into the walls while my other dragons kept to the sky. I looked around at the silent buildings looking for any form of movement, as did my dragons. I signaled my dragons not to let their guard down for even a moment since I had the feeling this was a trap and a big one.

It was at that moment I was proven right when a couple of arrows came flying towards me but Longshot let out a roar of warning and I was able to use my eagleshield to block them. The arrows broke on contact as my shadow wings quickly fired their lava balls at the roof where the archers were based making them dive off the roof to avoid the blasts. As soon as they landed I was able to see there were three of them with two males and a single female. I also got a look at them and saw they were wearing traditional Greek soldier armor that was colored black with crimson red lining with black helmets that covered everything except their eyes that were glowing red. The archers were quick to recover from their jump however and began firing arrows at me again but I blocked them with my shield once more and ran towards them as I put my starsword back and released my stormcutter axe. When I was close enough I slammed my axe into the ground sending a shockwave at them throwing them back against the wall behind them. As they flew back the helmet on the female was thrown off revealing a head of brown hair tied back in a ponytail but when she raised her head to show me her face I nearly dropped my axe in shock.

I recognized her as an amazon by the name of Persephone who I enjoyed sparring with when I was on their island and I knew for a fact that she'd sooner die then serve Cronus of her own free will. It was then I noticed her eyes that were a beautiful blue when I first met her were now a glowing red and then it all made sense. She was under some sort of mind control most likely done using Cronus's power but I didn't get to dwell on it for long since it was then she stood up with the others before readying more arrows. I didn't give them the chance though as I quickly took out an earth arrow and threw it at them. It landed in the ground in front of them before the ground shook making them drop the arrows they were readying along with their bows as they tried to maintain their balance. I took this opportunity to run up towards them as I took out two forest arrows before I slammed the arrows into the two males pushing them to the ground before roots began growing from the arrows and pinning them to the ground. I didn't get a moment to breath since Persephone took my close proximity to try and strike me with her fists but I jumped back avoiding the blows while slamming my right foot into her with a kick to the gut knocking the air out of her and sending her back into the wall. I used this opportunity to pin her to the wall by her upper and lower arms using four of my scimitar throwing knives. She struggled against them trying to get free until I grabbed her face and forced her to look into my eyes as I said.

"Persephone it's me, Hiccup." She glared at me. "Snap out of it, you're a warrior not a slave." She then roared in my face and tried to snap her teeth at me making me back up while Toothless crooned as I turned to my dragons. "Alright everyone listen up." They all looked at me. "It looks like Cronus has put the people of Sparta along with the Amazons under his control so when it comes to the people do your best to restrain them but try not to hurt them and whatever you do, don't kill them." I clenched my fists and looked down as I growled before letting out a sigh while looking back at them. "The monsters on the other hand feel free to set a blaze." They all growled and nodded before I turned back to Persephone frowning. "Don't worry, I'll free both you and everyone from Cronus's control while bringing an end to his siege." She just kept glaring at me as we continued to walk towards the city as I released my crystal spear since I could use it to restrain those under Cronus's control.

Our continued walk to the city was met with no more surprise attacks but we never let our guard down for even a second as we walked through the gates of the city. Like I saw before from the distance the streets were deserted of any form of life with the only things moving were the banners slowly moving in the gentle breeze. There was no sound whatsoever other than my dragons and I making our way through the streets looking for any form of life. I just hoped Cronus wasn't able to enslave any more people besides the three that attacked us and he was using them to just keep us busy while he tried to do the same thing he did the those three to the other people he'd captured. We slowly made our way into the center of town where the town square was with wide-open space as I looked around while walking into the center of the area. I looked around ready for a fight as my dragons that were flying came down to land after I signaled them to since this area was the perfect place for an ambush.

A few seconds later I was proven right when the sound of battle cries echoed through the area as armored warriors charged down the streets with their weapons drawn. Seeing they were coming from all sides I quickly signaled my dragons to form a protective circle around me to try and hold the warriors back while Heatwave and Sahara quickly took their sand storm forms and formed a sand twister around us cutting the people off. This tactic had been something I'd been working on for a while with my dragons but it was no doubt going to come in handy in these sorts of situations. My dragons and I would hide behind a wall of blowing sand while we fired from the inside while my sand phantoms both held the enemy back with their attack and solidified parts to swat enemies back while opening up holes allowing me to fire arrows and holes for my dragons to let out their blasts.

I quickly stabbed my spears metal end into the ground next to me as I folded up my eagle shield before I took out my spirit bow and readied an earth arrow. I waited for my sand phantoms to open a single hole and when they did I let the arrow fly through it and smiled as they made a small opening for me to see what happened. My arrow landed in the center of a group of ten soldiers before a pit opened up beneath them making them fall in before it closed in trapping them. I didn't stop to enjoy it for long though and loaded up another arrow with this one being a forest arrow before another opening appeared and I let it fly. I continued doing this firing my forest, earth and ice arrows that were the only spirit arrows that restrained people without hurting them. From the brief glances I got outside I could tell I had taken down a large piece of their forces but there were still more than a few that would be a challenge to take on if they broke through. It was at that moment red lightning seemed to run through the sand storm as my sand phantoms roared in pain making me worry about them and my worry only increased when they reformed into their dragon forms. There was one thing that caught my eye though and that was the fist sized red jewels stuck to their heads that seemed to glow with power. They used their claws to try and get them off but they seemed to be stuck on them and when they tried to go into their sand storm form the jewels shocked them with that red lightning. I was brought out of these thoughts when the soldiers from the back who hadn't been caught began marching towards us. I quickly turned to my sand phantoms and said.

"You guys have done enough as it is so for now just focus on fighting in your solid forms." They growled and nodded as I looked around at my dragons. "Remember don't hurt them!" They all growled and nodded as I slammed the palm of my prosthetic arm to the ground and quickly summoned twenty Anubis warriors. "Don't hurt the soldiers, they're under Cronus's control." They nodded and charged into battle as I took a quick breath. "Let's do this Hiccup!"

I pulled my spear out of the ground and ran into the battle alongside my dragons that were swatting the soldiers back while my Anubis warriors were doing their best to disarm the warriors and knock them out. I used my spears crystal end to vault over my dragons before bringing the crystal end down on the on the ground towards a group of them. Green crystals burst from the ground, heading straight towards them and knocked them back before I lifted my spear out of the ground and then used the pole of my spear to block a sword strike from a man on my side. I delivered a kick into his side making him back up before I swung my spear at him striking him in the side with the crystal end knocking him down as crystal slowly covered his body trapping him. I didn't stand and watch though since there were others soldiers charging at me. I stabbed my spears crystal end into the lead soldiers stomach pushing him back into two others as the crystal spread while they fell back. Before they could get up however the crystal covered all three of them leaving them trapped while I swatted another man to the side knocking him down as the crystal trapped him as well. Another soldier tried to tackle me from the side but I ducked shouldering him in the stomach before I lifted him up and then tossed him into another soldier who was attacking me from the other side. Three men charged at me from the front with their swords raised but when they brought them down I held my eagle shield up blocking their swords causing a shockwave that not only shattered their weapons but also flung them back into a charging group knocking them all down. Another soldier wielding a sword charged at me from the back but before he could Angel swatted him in the side into another soldier who was fighting with an Anubis warrior.

I smiled at her before turning to face a large group that was charging at me and readied my spear for a fight but as I did they just stopped mid charge. This confused me as I looked around and saw all the soldiers had stopped fighting but before I could dwell on it anymore a loud laugh that seemed to shake the ground echoed through the area as all the soldiers turned and bowed in one direction. I looked in the direction and saw a man wearing a black toga that showed off some of the hair on his chest, sandals on his feet and golden bands around his wrists, a golden belt around his waist while his head was bald and reflecting the sun but the thing that caught my eye however was the glowing red gem in the center of mans belt that seemed to be pulsing as if it were alive. He wasn't walking down however but was being brought down on a black chariot with red lining being pulled by three griffins wearing black armor that covered their backs, chest and helmets that had red glowing gems imbedded into the tops He slowly clapped his hands as my Anubis warriors and dragons ran to my sides ready to fight as he smirked at me revealing his eyes to be orange like lava. He smiled at me in a way I didn't like as he said.

"Bravo my boy, bravo indeed."

"Cronus I presume?" He smiled.

"Brains as well as brawns and skill, impressive indeed." I just glared at him.

"What do you want Cronus?"

"I want you to join me Hiccup as my general and help me conquer the world."

"Now why would I do that?"

"You'll be well rewarded with every conquest and you shall be given power and command over a vast army along with anything else you desire."

"I've been made the same sort of offers and I'll give you the same answer I gave the others." I glared at him. "No!" He frowned and shook his head.

"Such a shame Hiccup, you had such promise but I suppose I'll have to just do to you what I did to the other soldiers to make them obey." I smirked at him.

"If you're referring to mind control don't waist your time since me and my dragons are immune to any form of mind control."

"Oh yes the power the Arabian gods gave you." He smirked. "Tell me do you honestly think their power is strong enough to resist me."

"If it's not it won't matter since I'm not going to give you the chance to use it on either me or my dragons." He smiled in a way that made me worry as he dismounted his chariot and walked in front of it.

"A little late to stop me I'm afraid." I heard my dragons roar in surprise and turned to see red crystals like the one on my sandphantoms fly at them and land on their heads making them roar in both pain and surprise.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MY DRAGONS?"

"They're not yours anymore." He turned to my dragons. "COME TO ME DRAGONS!" Much to my shock my dragons began walking to Cronus but I could see they were trying to resist it while red lightning ran across their bodies as they glared at Cronus who was rubbing his chin in thought. "Impressive magic since it's protecting them from my full control but it's nothing a little time and channeling a bit more power won't fix." It was then my dragons reached him. "For now though this will do but first." He smiled down at my dragons. "BOW BEFORE YOU'RE MASTER BEASTS!" They all tried to resist him but ended up bowing before him while he laughed, as I stood there frozen in shock and horror since it felt like Arabia all over again but this time it was worse before he looked up at me. " The bowing thing is just something I have all my new slaves do, it gives me a pleasurable tingle up my spine." I just glared at him as I clenched my teeth and fists.

"You're going to pay for causing my dragons and Plutarach pain Cronus." He sighed.

"Please I've heard it all before but all of those who say that end up defeated."

"Even if you kill me others will rise to fight you as long as they have hope."

"Oh, please they'll think that until I put them under my control just like your dragons."

I growled and pulled my crystal spear back into my prosthetic and released my starsword as I charged at him. He just smirked and then vanished from where he was before reappearing in front of me and punching me in the chest destroying my armor while sending me flying back but I held onto my sword. I went sliding across the ground landing at the feet of my Anubis warriors who helped me get up as I groaned in pain. I opened my eyes to look at him as he clapped while saying.

"Nice try but I'm not that easy to get rid of however I'm most impressed that you're still able to stand after a blow from me." I justglared at him while trying to ignore the pain in my ribs while he sighed. "I suppose there's no convincing you to join me now Hiccup." He shrugged. "Oh well!" He then smirked as a scythe with a black handle and a gold blade appeared in his hand. "You earned my respect Hiccup so I won't turn you into a puppet and just end you now so you won't have to watch your world crumble." I looked at him and began walking towards him as I pointed my sword at him.

"I'm going to die like that." He raised an eyebrow. "If I'm going to die it'll be fighting like a true warrior."

"Admirable but you won't survive."

"At least I'll have a noble death fighting a monster like you Cronus."

He glared at me as I used the last of my strength to charge at him but before I could get near him he disappeared from where he was and then reappeared in front of me with his blade stabbed into my stomach and coming out my back. I gasped as I spat up blood while falling to the ground as I looked down at the blade while my Anubis warriors turned to sand that fell to the ground. Knowing I couldn't risk my star sword falling into Cronus's hands I quickly had my prosthetic pull it in as I looked up at Cronus who was looking down at me as he said.

"I'm a god of time mortal, I simply paused time and used that time to strike." I coughed up some more blood.

"You disgust me!" He leaned down to look me in the eye. "Did you honestly believe that you, a mere mortal could defeat me, the king of the titans, God of time, true ruler of these lands and soon the world?" I just glared at him and spat some of my blood at his face but he just flicked it off. "You still have some fight in you?" He smiled. "I like that and it's why I'm slowing down the time it takes for you to perish. "

"And here I was thinking I was being punished by being forced to listen to you gloat."

"It's your own fault for believing that a pathetic weapon given to you by my weak children could defeat me." He sighed. "I have to say I'm rather disappointed in my children for turning into such weaklings over time with their power being slowly lost while I was trapped in Tartarus where they believed I was powerless." He chuckled. "What they never understood was while I was chained up in that cell I never lost my power but simply held it down and allowed it to build up so when I was free I'd have no trouble conquering the mortal realm and defeating my children allowing me to take my rightful place as ruler." He then smirked. "Even that pathetic jailer Kampe will bow to my will once I take back Olympus and see how my children like spending the rest of eternity in the same kind of cells they condemned me to." He then smiled. "Don't worry though young Hiccup as I'm not done with you yet." I just glared.

"Go to hell Cronus!"

"After you my boy!" He pulled the blade out of me and I felt my life draining from me as darkness consumed my vision. "We'll see each other again soon enough Hiccup Haddock but till then enjoy." With those final words I succumbed to the darkness that was death.

AN: I should leave it here but I'm not that cruel to leave you on such a major cliff hanger.

One hundred years later

Nobodies POV:

High atop Mount Olympus sat a Greek palace made from the smoothest black marble decorated with red stone hydra heads imbedded into the marble. The mere sight of the intimidating building would be enough to make even the bravest men turn back and walk away in fear. Inside was more terrifying with the walls being decorated with Greek reliefs made of black marble. Each relief depicting horrific battles showing how the gods of different lands fell to Cronus one by one before those who worshiped them were enslaved and forced to join his army. The guards who stood in these halls were no less terrifying as they were monsters such as minotaur's, undead legionaries and sitting on the wall sconces above were harpies glaring down at any who dared walk down the halls.

It was in this palace that Cronus could be found in a throne room with only a single throne at the back with a single banner on either side while the only other decoration were the weapons that hung on the wall or rested on pedestals pressed up against the wall. What these things were however were not decorations but the weapons of the conquered gods forever remaining where they were as trophies from their master's defeats but the thing stuck out most was the golden arm on the wall that once belonged to Hiccup Haddock. The arm however was not the only thing in the room that once belonged to the fallen hero Hiccup Haddock for surrounding the throne acting as loyal guards were his once faithful dragons but they were not the same dragons that he trained. Cronos had twisted their minds and turned them into nothing more than his mindless slaves that would kill themselves if he ordered them to and with their new bodies they'd have no trouble doing so. Cronos had transformed them into the deadliest creatures in existence and had turned Toothless the once playful nightfury back into the dark beast known as the shadowfury. Cronos would often enjoy making them fight each other for his own amusement or sending them out to hunt what few mortals were left.

Down back on the mortal plane's things were far worse as the land that was once lush and brimming with life were now nothing but a burning wasteland with no form of life aside from the beasts from Cronus's army hunting down anything they could. These things mostly consisted of each other, mortals who Cronus released from his control so he could watch them struggle to survive in the baron wasteland trying to find food and running from his beasts. As for the fallen gods that Cronus had defeated they were all spending the rest of eternity imprisoned in the cells of Tartarus under the watchful eyes of Kampe who was also enslaved by Cronus. The gods however were not the only ones imprisoned in the bowels of Tartarus however for it is a single isolated cell that one could find the once mighty warrior Hiccup Haddock. The years of isolation had not been kind to him for all he did now was sit on the stone slab that was his bed and stare at the wall across from him, his mind destroyed decades ago leaving him nothing but a hollow shell of the man he once was. This was the fate of the world all because of his failure to defeat Cronus and with it comes and end to this story.
