Chapter 126

Hiccups POV:

I groaned as light filled my vision but my head was still hazy from what happened since the last thing I remember was me and Toothless falling into a pit full of blue flowers and then nothing. It was then a feminine voice asked.

"Are you feeling alright my sweet?" I groaned and answered.

"I feel like I have plants wrapping around my arms and legs."

"You do!"

The voice then giggled as I shook my head clearing it of the haze and looked around to see that my arms were covered in moss that was pinning me to the wall and my legs are in the same condition. I looked around at the room I was in and saw it resembled an exotic forest with vines that had blooming flowers covering marble pillars, the ground covered in grass and flowers, trees growing out of marble floor and a small grotto in the center. My eyes were also drawn to the people walking around the room that I'm guessing the locals that disappeared but the thing that caught my attention was how their clothes looked to be made of leaves and flowers with each of them possessing a large pink flower covering the bottom halves of their faces with their moths and noses covered. The women were dressed like belly dancers with their tops being two flowers covering their fronts with vines holding them together while their skirts were made from thin vines that were covered in small flowers and braided together while the males only wore pants made from large palm leaves that wrapped around their legs. It was then my sight was drawn to the woman who spoke and was the only one who didn't have a flower covering her face so it was my guess she was the one behind all this. She was lounging on a giant of pink rose that's front had opened up forming a throne which only added to my suspicion that she was the one in charge of all this making me glare but she just smiled as she said.

"Allow me to introduce myself." She stood up. "I am Hadasa and I welcome you to my palace."

"So, you're the one behind this kingdom becoming a forest?" She nodded.

"I am, isn't it beautiful?"

"I can't deny that it does possess an incredible beauty but what I don't understand is why you're doing this." She sighed and walked down from her throne.

"In order for you to understand why I've done this you must know of my past." She frowned. "I was a simple peasant on the streets begging for food and barely surviving on the smallest scraps with everyone else calling me such things as filth or street rat." She clenched her fists at this. "One day I stole some bread from a vendor who caught me but before he could do anything a man walked up and paid for the bread claiming I was his wife." She let out a sigh. "He was so kind to me and offered me a job which I eagerly took since it seemed I could trust him." She then frowned. "How wrong I was."

"What happened?"

"He took me back to his caravan outside the city and helped me in only for me to discover it was really a covered cage before he shut the door on me while locking it." She shook her head in sadness. "It turns out he was a slave trader and saw me as a product that would be fetch a good price before he took me away from my home." She sighed. "For three days we traveled until we reached a trading post where I was sold to some mystics who wished to use me in a ritual that would allow them to control nature and allow them to bring forth a new age to this land under their rule."

"Let me guess, the ritual backfired and you got the powers instead of them." She giggled.

"It seems you're more than just a handsome face." She then frowned. "Yes, the ritual did give me the power that they sought to claim for themselves and with it I was able to end them for the torture they put me through and so many others before me." She growled this last part. "For months I hid out in the desert mastering my new abilities and discovering the true beauty that nature held and returned to this city to share it with the people."

"They didn't take it, well did they?" She shook her head.

"They called me a witch and informed the Sultan who had the guards come for me and I knew that I'd either be killed or worse so I ran back into the desert." She then smiled. "While I wondered the desert, I realized that I could create my own empire and turn this dry desert land into a thing of true beauty but I knew the people wouldn't allow me to do such a thing seeing as they believed me to be a witch."

"So, you came back and took over the city." She nodded.

"Don't worry about the people Hiccup the ones you see here are fine, just asleep in a way with their minds in another world full of nothing but joy and happiness thanks to the gasses my flowers are pumping into their bodies through their mouths and noses."

"I know these people can't be the only ones so where are the other people."

"They are in pods imbedded in a tree that have the same result as my flowers with the exception that the pods drain them of their life force." My eyes widened at this. "Don't worry it only does so once a month and even then it's only about a days' worth of the person's life."

"It's still their lives."

"And it's all going to the noble cause of maintaining this paradise." She gestured to the room around us. "And I shall rule over it ensuring no harm comes to this paradise or its inhabitants."

"If you want to avoid any harm being done to this paradise then I recommend you stop attacking cities bringing attention to your kingdom since you never know whose attention you'll catch." She then smiled at me.

"But I wanted to catch attention." I raised an eyebrow. "Why do you think I sent my golems to attack that specific city where your friends live and waited until the arch leading to your bazaar opened up before doing so." My eyes widened in realization.

"You had those things attack the city to lure me back here to Arabia."

"Correct."

"What's this about Hadasa?" She raised an eyebrow before she giggled.

"Why it's about us you, silly boy."

"Us?" She nodded.

"You and me ruling this new land with me as the grand and glorious queen with you at my side as a king to the land and loyal, loving husband to me."

"I admit that does sound romantic but why me?" I tugged at the moss restraining me. "Because I'm powerful, because I'm a great fighter and strategist, have my own island full of exotic plants, have trained dragons and animals that can serve well in battle or perhaps it's how I have the blessings of the gods with weapons given to me from them." She shook her head.

"I admit those things are appealing but not the reason I chose you." This confused me since those are the reasons that those wanting to take over the world normally wanted me. "You see I wasn't always a citizen of this city, I was once a peasant in the city you first came to when coming to this land when Madhimaran ruled over as the prince it and it was you who helped me escape that city before Madhimaran revealed his true nature." I raised an eyebrow. "I was one of the suffering peasants you gave money to in order to help and I used it to pay a merchant to get me out of that city so I could try to start a new life in this one." She sighed and shook her head. "Obviously it did not go well in the beginning but now I have all this."

"So, you want me because I helped you when you needed it and expect me to do the same here?" She shook her head.

"No, I desire you because on that day that you helped me I looked into your eyes and saw no greed, desire to put me in debt or anything of the sort and only saw kindness and a desire to help." She walked up to me. "It was then I knew you'd make a fine king and husband for me." She then caressed my cheek filling my nostrils with the smell of flowers. "I chose you because of your kind heart and desire to help those in need."

"And you want me to help you turn all of Arabia into what you turned this kingdom into." She nodded.

"It shall be a true thing of beauty."

"But at the cost of the people's freedom." I looked her in the eyes. "I hate to break your heart Hadasa but that is a plan I won't help with and will in fact do everything I can to stop it." She frowned.

"Very well then my sweet, we will do this the hard way."

She snapped her fingers before I noticed large palm leaves on the roof parted and lowered something tied up in vinestowards the ground. When it was five feet from the ground some of the vines unwrapped to reveal the thing that they were all wrapped in was Toothless who began struggling when he saw me. I tried to break out to get to him as well until I noticed thorn-covered vines lowering down from the ceiling and circle around his body before they gently wrapped around him with the thorns pricking him and making him growl in pain. I looked back at Hadasa and said.

"Leave him alone!"

"Then do as I say."

"No!" Toothless growled as the thorns dug in deeper.

"Your dragons time is running out." The thorns dug in deeper once more only encouraging me to struggle harder against the moss holding me against the wall going as far as to make the dragons claws serrated edges rapidly cutting the moss off but it just grew back before I could make a move. "Just do as I say and I'll stop the thorns from killing him." I saw the thorns were about to pierce his scales and knew she had me so I sighed in defeat.

"Alright, I'll do what you want, just please let my dragon go." She smiled.

"I knew you'd see things my way."

She raised her hand and the thorn covered vines retracted back into the ceiling before one of those stone being walked into the room and walked up to me. The moss binding my limbs pulled away freeing my limbs and making me fall right into the arms of the stone being that held onto me tightly. Hadasa smiled at me but I just glared and struggled against the beings' grip. I didn't dare draw my weapons since I knew if I tried anything like that then Toothless would more than likely pay the price as Hadasa said.

"Come along my little love rider, let's get you fully in mind for your new life." With that said she led the being out of the room with the vines carrying Toothless following behind us.

10 minutes later

We were now in a large room that like the throne room was covered in plant life but in the center of this room was a giant pink flower made of pink marble with a single red rose made of crystal the size of my head in the center of it. I was still being restrained by the stone being with Toothless still wrapped in vines to the side as a reminder to me of what's at risk unless I do as Hadasa orders. She walked up to the crystal rose that slowly began to bloom as she said.

"Being my beloved requires a few things such as complete obedience and loyalty." The rose opened to reveal a crystal vile with a glowing blue liquid in it. "This is why I created my special love potion." I chuckled.

"Too bad since I'm immune to all forms of mind control unless it's the power of the gods." She just giggled.

"That's why I stole a blue rose from the naga's." My eyes widened at this.

"You're the one who stole the rose from them." She nodded as she took the vile.

"You see Hiccup, the blue rose is the key ingredient to this potion and is the key to making it past the defenses the gods bestowed upon you."

"What?"

"This potion will surpass your immunity allowing it to alter your mind and I suppose the best way to say it is it shall put you completely under my control." She turned back to me smiling. "One sip and you shall be mine till the end of time."

She lifted it towards my lips but I kept them shut making her frown before she snapped her fingers and the thorny vines lowered from the roof and wrapped around Toothless again. Knowing what would happen if I kept my mouth shut I parted my lips making her smile as she pressed the top of the vile to my lips. The crystal was cold against my lips as she tipped it upwards pouring the liquid into my mouth making me taste a mixture of berries until the vile was pulled away as the stone being dropped me to the ground. I glared at Hadasa who just smiled at me but before I could say anything my head erupted in pain making me grab it as the smell of flowers filled my nose before it looked like flowers were blooming in my vision and then darkness.

Nobodies POV:

Hiccup was kneeled on the ground grasping his head as Hadasa smiled while watching the potion take effect slowly altering Hiccups minds as Toothless growled around the vines holding his muzzle shut. She walked up to him smiling as the vines lowered him down as she reached up and rubbed his jaw but he tried to pull away from her touch making her giggle. She gently scratched his chin as she said.

"Don't worry, Hiccup will be just fine when the potion is done altering his mind." Toothless growled but she giggled. "Don't worry I've got something to calm you down but it shall take some time to prepare so for now you'll just have to wait in your pen while I prepare it and spend some time with my soon to be husband."

She then raised her hand and the vines lifted him up and carried him out of the room allowing Hadasa to turn her attention back to Hiccup who was slowly pulling his hands away from his head. When Hiccup raised his head, he opened his eye to show it had turned from green to pink showing that the potion had taken full effect. She walked up to him and used her hand to lift his chin so he was looking at her face as she smiled down at him. A goofy smile formed on his face before he let out a sigh and said.

"You're beautiful!" She giggled.

"Why thank you." Hiccup then stood up fully but his eyes never left her. "Now my sweet, give me a kiss." Hiccup did exactly that and pulled her into his arms before dipping her body and kissing her full on the lips as Hadasa enjoyed the kiss before he lifted her back up and pulled away. "That was wonderful." He just nodded before wrapping her arms around his right arm. "Now why don't I give you a tour of your new home."

"That sounds wonderful Hadasa."

She just smiledas she led him out while she giggled and thought about how easy her plan had come together and how she now had the man of her dreams completely under her control. What she didn't know however was that she herself was being controlled by a demon who was summoned in the ritual which gave her the power. The power she believed was hers actually belonged to the demon who was slowly regaining his power and using Hadasa as a temporary vessel to begin the creation of his new empire. It was also he who gave Hadasa the idea that Hiccup would make an excellent husband for her and to use the love potion on him as he knew of Hiccups exploits and how he'd no doubt be a threat to his plans so now he was out of the way. This also meant that when he revealed himself Hiccup would be easy to control through Hadasa as the woman would at that point be nothing but a mindless puppet if she lived long enough after he left her body.

1 week later

It's been a week since Hiccup was given the potion enslaving him to Hadasa's will and in that time a lot has happened within the city that had fallen under Hadasa's control. To begin with her army had been growing stronger with Hiccup there to forge metal plating to be attached to the arms of the stone golems that formed her army, which grew larger each day. Along with this the plants that grew on the city had spread far passed the walls that they covered and begun to spread into the desert taking root in the sands and spreading quickly. Then there's Toothless who was now trapped in a stone cell in a dungeon below the city with two of the stone golems watching over him and standing in the room outside of his cell was a large tree with people in glowing yellow pods imbedded in its trunk. These were the citizens off the city who were powering the spread of the plants and stone golems by having their life force slowly drained from them. They were unaware of this however for although their bodies were there their minds were in a large garden together enjoying the peace and blissfully unaware of their fate but they weren't the only ones in this state.

Hiccup Haddock, mighty adventurer, skilled blacksmith, heroic dragon rider, savior of many and all-round great guy had suffered a similar fate to these people but unlike them he was only blissfully unaware of what fate had befallen him. The past week Hiccup had been at Hadasa's backend call as if he were a loyal dog taking orders from his master doing whatever she asked of him. Fortunately, the things she requested didn't require that much effort for him as they were mostly things she'd do with him if he were truly her husband with the only thing taking up a little effort was his forging of plates for the stone golems arms. Other than that, his days were filled with walks around the city with Hadasa on his arm, lying on the ground with Hadasa on his chest, meals together, swimming in the pools together, bathing together and sleeping in the same bed together, Hadasa giving him dance performances or snuggling up to him as women danced for their entertainment while she fed him sugared dates. While all this happened Hadasa was secretly having another potion prepared that would put Toothless under her control with her planning to have Hiccup be the one to administer it. What she was unaware of though was that this potion wouldn't put Toothless under her control but under the control of the demon that was secretly controlling her and would soon be able to form his own body leaving Hadasa nothing more than a husk slowly dying like a wilting flower.

All of this leads up to now with Hadasa wearing a light green belly dancer top, matching pantaloons, near flat vines wrapped around her arms and a single red rose braided into her hair at the back, leading Hiccup down to the cell where the tree that held the people was along with the cell that held Toothless. Hadasa held onto Hiccups left arm with her right arm while her left hand held the vile that was glowing light blue from the potion within. It was this potion that would enslave Toothless while her head rested on Hiccups shoulder and a content smile on her face. She stopped walking when they came to the door that leads into the room where Toothless was being held as Hadasa turned to Hiccup and smiled as she said.

"Soon your dragon shall be at peace with his new place in life like you my love." Hiccup turned to her smiling.

"I can hardly wait my beautiful flower."

At the back of his head Hiccups mind was fighting the potions effects trying to regain control knowing what was happening was wrong. It was then Hadasa lead him into the room which held Toothless who perked up when he heard someone entering through the door. The two stone golems stepped aside showing it was Hiccup and Hadasa who had entered and crooned at the sight of his rider until he saw Hiccups eyes were pink meaning he was still under Hadasa's control. Seeing this he growled and backed up in the cage as Hiccup smiled at him while Hadasa said.

"Don't worry my dear beast for soon you won't have to worry about anything besides making me happy and helping in turning this land to a truly beautiful thing like I did with this city." She then turns to Hiccup who looked at her with a calm smile and gently caresses his face. "It shall be a true paradise for us." She placed her hand on her stomach. "And our children when the time comes for us to begin a family." Hiccup just continued to smile as he replied.

"I look forward to that day when we welcome our children into the paradise we are making for them my sweet." She giggled and then turned back to Toothless as she held up the potion.

"Time for you to make your dragon feel as peaceful as you are." Hiccup took the potion from her in his prosthetic.

"With pleasure my love." He then turned to Toothless. "Don't worry bud this won't hurt and you'll feel so much better afterwards knowing we'll begin a life that's so much better than the one we have now." He just backed up in his cell as the stone bars sunk down into the ground allowing Hiccup access the cell.

"That's it my love, give your dragon the potion and the beast shall be under my complete control."

As she said this Hiccup saw the fear in Toothless' eyes before his mind flashed back to when Madhimaran, Cronus and Blood Skull enslaved Toothless using their own magic. It was as the last memory flew by that he remembered who he truly was and why he had come here. He wasn't some mindless love-sick fool who only sought Hadasa's happiness and wanted to help her turn these lands in to some dense jungle that although would be beautiful was not worth the price of the people's freedom and life force. The potion however tried to regain control over Hiccups mind but he fought it as he gripped his head while shaking and groaning in pain as Toothless looked up at his rider in worry. Hadasa approached Hiccup out of concern but he pulled away as he opened his eyes showing they'd turned from pink back to the original green. Hadasa gently placed her right hand on his left shoulder as she asked.

"Hiccup, are you alright Love?" Hiccup slowly stood back up fully and held up the potion in his prosthetic.

"Best I've felt all week." He then turned to her as he crushed the vile in his prosthetic hand sending the potion drizzling to the floor as Hadasa looked in shock.

"Do you know what you've done?" Hiccup smirked as he turned around to face her.

"Yeah, saving my best friend from being enslaved again." Toothless let out a croon as Hiccup looked back at him. "I'm back bud." He then glared at Hadasa who was backing up as the two stone golems walked in front of him but he just smirked. "Too easy."

He raised his prosthetic arm up and swung it down while releasing the threads that immediately flowed down while wrapping around parts of the golems. Hiccup then yanked his arm back tightening the threads making them cut into the stone golems. The golems collapsed into piles of rubbles and with them being the only ones in this cavern there was nothing standing between Hiccup and Hadasa who looked ready to run but before she could Hiccup released his khopesh blades and stabbed it into her shadow that was made from the glowing pods in the tree. With Hadasa unable move she Hiccup slowly began walking towards her as she looked at him in fear and asked.

"You're going to kill me, now aren't you?" He shook his head.

"Actually, I was hoping we could talk a bit and see if I could actually save you from the dark path you're going down."

"There's no hope for me Hiccup, those people in the pods deserved this fate for all they did to me and the others like me."

"And what is it that they did?"

"They treated me like dirt, like I was worthless and constantly called me names like street rat." She looked down as tears began to leak out of her eyes. "You don't know what it's like to be an outcast among your own people."

"Actually, I do!" She looked up at him and saw in his eyes that he was being honest and leaned her head back in shock but before she could ask anything he continued. "I was a runt among my people and treated like dirt by everyone who was meant to look out for me since not only was I a member of the tribe but also the heir but since I was a runt my own father couldn't be bothered to look out for me." He then gestured to Toothless. "Then like you I discovered something that would help me turn my life around in the form of Toothless." He then looked at her. "Now I could have done what you did and gone after those who made my life miserable after gaining strength but instead I chose to give them a chance to earn my forgiveness and it took time they were able to mend their ways and realize how wrong they truly were."

"What are you saying Hiccup."

"What I'm saying is that you have been gifted with these amazing powers that can help so many people but instead you've been using them to hurt people." He walked up to her. "Hadasa, it's not too late for you to do the right thing." He put his hand on her shoulder.

"Yes, it is." She looked down in sadness. "If I release the people then they'll kill me for what I've done." Hiccup placed his right hands three middle fingers under her chin and lifting it up so she was looking into his eyes.

"Free the people Hadasa and use your powers to help the people growing crops for people to eat, help farmers with their land, grow herbs that can be used in medicines or simply making a meadow of flowers for children to play in." He then stroked his thumb against her cheek. "You're a good person Hadasa and you've just made a bad decision but I know you can make things right." Tears of joy rolled down her cheeks at the sight of kindness as Hiccup slowly leaned towards her face and brought her into a gentle kiss that she eagerly returned before he gently pulled away and took his khopesh out of the ground freeing her from her paralyzation.

"Hiccup I-"She was cut off as an immense pain burned through her body before the rose in her hair grew roots and hoped out of her hair and onto the ground while Hiccup caught Hadasa as she fell.

"Hadasa what's wrong?" Before she could reply a powerful male voice echoed through the cavern saying.

"I was hoping for a little more time before making my presence known and to have the women still under my control along with you under the potions influence allowing me to keep you out of the way but I suppose things don't always go according to plan."

It was then the rose took root before a ten-foot tall being rose up from the ground with the rose imbedded in his chest. Hiccup looked up at the being and saw he was a slim man that had a bush on his head that acted as a crown with one branch coming down his face forming his nose, a brown upper shirt that had wooden thorns coming out of the front sides, large flowing red sleeves that looked to be made out of large single flower petals, a skirt made of palm leaves, a beard that looked to be made of moss and skin that was made of wood. (AN: Picture Arbutus from Aladdin series.) He smirked down at us as I glared at him knowing he was the one behind not only Hadasa's pain but also more than likely the one who was truly responsible for her going down the dark path she was on. He just smirked at me and said.

"Hiccup Haddock, at last we meet."

"Who are you?"

"I am Arbutus and I am the one who shall return this world to the majestic beauty it once was before humans came along and destroyed it."

"What did you do to Hadasa?" He looked down at the barely conscious woman currently being cradled in my arms and waved her off.

"I simply took my power from her." Hiccup raised an eyebrow. "You see the men who took her tried to summon me through her but instead they trapped me within her in a weakened state so I was forced to wait as I regained my strength but while I waited I whispered into ear of that pathetic mortal allowing me to use her to begin my plans."

"So, you're the one who's truly responsible for all this chaos that's befallen this city."

"Chaos?" He let out a chuckle. "What has befallen this city is peace that can only come with the plague known as humanity being stowed away and unable to cause any more harm to the land like it should be."

"You're wrong, the people of this land deserve to be free to roam these lands instead of being imprisoned while you slowly drain them of life."

"It matters not for you shall both be joining them soon enough." Hiccup silently released his three scimitar throwing knives from his prosthetic while channeling a red crystal.

"Not if I can help it!"

He then threw the flaming knives at Arbutus that activated their astral ability forming a total of fifteen flaming knives stabbing into his body making him scream in pain. This distraction allowed Hiccup the chance to pick up Hadasa and run towards the back of the cell with Toothless following. Hiccup gently laid Hadasa on the ground before turning to Toothless and saying.

"Look after her bud," He turned to Arbutus who was ejecting the knives from his body. "I have some gardening to do."

With that said he reached into his spider pack and pulled out his kappa shell along with a fire and wind arrow while releasing his spirit bow. He dropped his kappa shell to the ground, which immediately began to hover before he hopped on while loading up the two arrows after the skull lowered into position. He rode his kappa shell towards Arbutus who just finished ejecting the last of the knives from his body and looked down at Hiccup smirking as he said.

"Did you really think that would destroy me?" Hiccup shook his head.

"No, just stall you since if there's one thing I've learnt from my past battles it's that the opponent never goes down so easily." He then smirked. "It makes my job all the more entertaining."

With that said he launched the arrows that merged creating a burning hot wind that smashed into Arbutus who screamed in pain as the burning wind struck him. I smiled before my smile turned into a frown as his body sunk into the ground since I knew things were nowhere near over and was proven right when he burst from the ground below me. I was fortunately able to avoid the attack from below as he stood tall glaring at me before swinging his right hand down while extending his fingers forming a whip. Hiccup ducked beneath the strike barely able to avoid the whip like vines before he jumped off the kappa shell sending it flying at Arbutus's waist with the blades rapidly spinning. The shell cut clean through him severing his upper torso from his lower body before imbedding itself in the back wall but Arbutus just chuckled as vines burst out from the cuts and pulled him back together as if he were never harmed.

Hiccup glared up at him as Arbutus smirked before lashing at him with his right fingers that once again took the form of whips but Hiccup tuck and rolled out of the way as he let loose an earth arrow. The arrow imbedded itself into the ceiling above Arbutus making it crack before falling onto him kicking up the dust making Hiccup cover his eyes. When he pulled them away all he saw was a pile of rubble where Arbutus once was. He smirked thinking he'd won until a voice behind him said.

"Surely you don't believe things would be that simple."

He immediately turned around only to be swatted into a wall and looked up to see Arbutus still standing there unharmed and knew he needed to change tactics since burning, crushing and cutting didn't seem to work. Hiccup collapsed his spirit bow and reached back to the spider pack that pushed out the handles of Pirus and Ventus that he quickly took out readying the blades. Arbutus smirked down at him before swinging his whip like fingers at him again but this time Hiccup didn't dodge and instead swung Ventus down sending a slicing wind at the vines severing them from Arbutus who didn't even flinch. Hiccup glared at him before slashing Pirus down sending a fiery slash at him but all it did was singe his body that quickly healed up making Hiccup growl in annoyance.

It was then he noticed the rose on Arbutus chest and flashed back to how that was what he originally formed from after the rose leapt off Hadasa. Hiccup knew the rose might be the key to winning against Arbutus and he knew the best weapon to try and get at it. With this knowledge in mind he released his lightning axe and charged at Arbutus once more intent on bringing an end to this. He slammed his axe to the ground towards Arbutus while thinking of ice causing ice to burst from the ground and freeze Arbutus's lower body. Arbutus screamed in pain from the cold but before he could begin breaking the ice off Hiccup threw his axe towards the rose in a way that made it rapidly spin. Arbutus began to turn to see what Hiccup had thrown at him giving the axe the perfect angle to cut into the stem of the rose. The blade of the axe sliced through the stem completely cutting the rose off his body right before Arbutus let out an ear-piercing scream as his body like a plant began to wither away.

While this happened Hiccup dived towards the falling rose not wanting to take the chance that Arbutus could reform from it. He then watched as Arbutus turned to nothing but broken branches and dead leaves. Hiccup let out a sigh before placing the rose that formed Arbutus into one of the holders in his armor to ensure there wasn't a chance of Arbutus reforming. With Arbutus now no longer a threat Hiccup turned back to the cell where Toothless was watching over Hadasa and ran to see if she was all right now that Arbutus was gone. When he entered the cell he found Toothless watching over her non-moving form and ran over gently lifting her upper body so he could see her face better making her open her eyes and smile at him as he smiled back and said.

"Arbutus is gone Hadasa, he can't hurt you or anyone again." She smiled up at him.

"Thank you for freeing me from his control Hiccup and returning me to my true self, even if it is only for a short time before I leave this world." Hiccups eyes widened.

"Don't say that Hadasa, you're going to live through this." She giggled.

"You're so sweet Hiccup but I can feel my life leaving me."

"You're not going to die Hadasa," He took her hand in his as he looked into her eyes. "Hadasa, I may have been under the influence of a potion but I remember our time together and I know for a fact that the part of me that was free of the potions control did enjoy that time with you." He gently rubbed her hand. "It may take time but I'm willing to give a relationship with you a chance so we can have a chance at a true life together on my island where nobody can hurt you." Tears of sadness began leaking from his eyes while tears of joy leaked from hers as she raised her free hand to caress his face and wipe away the tears.

"That sounds wonderful Hiccup but it's not meant to be but before I go could you just do me one last favor?"

"Anything!"

"Take me out into the throne room before all the plants die so I can at least perish in the place I loved the most."

He nodded before taking her into his arms and carrying her out of the cavern and back up to the palace with Toothless following. When they reached the throne room Hiccup walked up to a bed of red flowers in the center of the room with the ceiling opened up shining light on them and gently lay her down on the bed. She smiled up at him before gently pulled him down and gave him a final kiss before lying back down in the ground as she said.

"Hiccup, I know you were being controlled by the potion during our time together but know that the potion only effected your feelings for me while the rest was all you and in the time we were together I had honestly fallen in love with you."

With that said she laid back and her body sunk into the bed of flowers with the flowers wrapping around her body and pulling her in until there was not a single indication her body was there. A second later a large white rose grew from the ground and Hiccup knew Hadasa was truly now at peace with the land. It was then Hiccup heard a few groans behind him and saw the people who were enslaved rubbing their heads and groaning in pain making him sigh as he ran a hand through his hair and said.

"This is going to take a lot of explaining." With that said I walked towards the people to begin explaining.

AN: And that brings an end to this chapter and this adventure. Now I know some of you may be getting tired of the whole mind control thing but I wanted to twist things around a bit with this one since it's always Toothless who ends up being controlled and decided to have Hiccup controlled for a change. Anyway I hope you're all staying strong with this Corona Virus Crisis taking its toll on the world with the deaths of people and companies being shutdown leading to unemployment. Anyway I hope you all enjoyed the chapter and shall review kindly and for those of you who are wondering why there hasn't been any romance for Hiccup then wait for China because that's when the romance shall begin so be patient. Also if you have any ideas for gifts he can get this time then PM me and I'll see if I can use them. Till next time stay safe everyone.
