Chapter 181
Hiccups POV;
I was on the back of Toothless on our way to the palace after we'd just been returned from out meeting with the gods which is something I know both Chin Wu and Ling Cho will want to hear about it and see what happened between me and the dragon kings. I took a breath knowing I need to also contact Astrid and Blanca to let them know I'm back from my journey to free the four dragon kings and what happened after I freed them. I knew that Blanca and Astrid were most likely going kill me for getting in so much trouble to the point that I had to take on the king of the gods so it might be best I stay in China until they calm down a bit. I sighed and shook my head knowing it better I go home and face the anger of the two women since the longer I waited the worse it would be for me and besides I had work to do helping the new dragons find jobs, checking out my new island section and checking out my gifts.
It was then the palace came into view and I steered Toothless down so we would land in front of the doors leading inside so we could walk right in. When we landed, guards who immediately lead us inside claiming the Emperor demanded I be brought before him when I arrived back greeted us. Apparently, he was eager to know what happened between the four dragon kings and I since he believed they would be guarded by something. I took a breath as I stood before the doors leading to the throne room before the doors were pushed open and was greeted by the sight of Chin Wu sitting on his throne and Ling Cho standing at his side. I smiled at them before me and Toothless walked up to them until we were in our usual place in front of him and bowed as I said.
"It's nice to see you both again after my latest adventure." They smiled before Chin Wu said.
"It is good to see you as well Hiccup Haddock, the emperor has been wondering how your journey to free the four dragon kings went." I shrugged.
"It went as expected with a few bumps but nothing I couldn't handle but I will admit things were a little tougher in the end but nothing serious." Toothless turned and growled with a look that was asking if I was serious making me just smile at him. "Come on bud, it wasn't that bad." He growled but before I could reply Ling Cho asked.
"May I ask what this obstacle was?" I turned to him and shrugged.
"Nothing big, just needed to channel the power of the four dragon kings through my body to defeat the Jade emperor who had taken me prisoner and turned Toothless into a jade statue." I raised my hands at my sides. "So just a bit of a bigger challenge than usual." I looked up at them staring at me before they both asked.
"WHAT?" I sighed.
"It's a long story." I then smiled as I held up my prosthetic with my golden spider out. "So, it's a good thing I can show instead of tell." As soon as I finished that I began the illusion starting with when we first landed on top of the mountain that held the black dragon king Xuánlóng.
4 hours later
It's been four hours since I began my illusion of my quest and now, we'd just finished showing them everything that happened to me on my trip. I collapsed the illusion after I showed me returning to the house and turned to Chin Wu and Ling Cho as I said.
"And that's what happened to me on my trip right up to the point where I arrived back in my home." They just stared at me with their mouths wide open. "Are you both alright?" They didn't reply and remained frozen as I leaned to Toothless. "I think we broke them bud." He just crooned before I signaled him to roar which he was all too happy to do and doing so he broke them out of their shock. "I welcome you both back to the world of the living." Ling Cho looked at me in shock.
"Forgive us Hiccup but the fact that you were able to defeat the king of the gods is more than just a simple remarkable feat." I nodded as I looked down.
"I know but I'll have to face an even more fearsome opponent soon."
"What is this opponent you shall face?"
"My wife who's no doubt going to be furious with me when she finds out what happened." He chuckled.
"I can understand that since in life there are few beasts that can match the ferocity of an angry woman." We all chuckled before Chin Wu said.
"Hiccup Haddock, you have once again done a great service to my country by aiding the gods who watch over us and for that neither I or my people shall ever be able to thankyou enough but this will have to do for now."
He clapped his hands and a group of servants walked in carrying four chests and four gold statues of the four dragon kings on their standing on their hindlegs that were twice my size. They each looked the same except for the gems that were imbedded within their bodies showing which dragon was which as the red dragon had rubies, azure dragon had sapphires, white had diamonds and the black dragon had some sort of black diamond. These gems went down the dragons back, sides, underbellies and the largest ones were in their foreheads and eyes adding the beauty of the golden statues. When the chests were opened I found myself looking at a large amount of gold and jewels in one, rolled up scrolls which I knew to be paintings by the way they were rolled up, one had books and scrolls that were very rare and the walls of the final chest fell down revealing a cage with two baby panda bears in them who were looking around in confusion.I looked up at Chin Wu and said.
"I thank you for your generosity your highness but I cannot accept this as I have already received your thanks with the golden chests you presented to me when I first returned from collecting my dragons from this country." Chin Wu smiled.
"You are honest and humble Hiccup which are the two traits I admire most about you but those chests were to payment for all you did on that journey, these gifts are to thank you for what you did for the gods of this land who watch over us and the dragons who were wrongfully imprisoned for helping the ancestors of my people." I nodded.
"I understand that your majesty but how would I take them home since they are no doubt too heavy for even Toothless." Ling Cho then asked.
"Hiccup, didn't the gods give you something to help you carry these things in your spiderpack." I rubbed my chin in thought.
"That's true but I'm still not sure what it can do now."
"Perhaps if you bring it out now and try to will it into taking them in it might do something since from what you told us in the past that is how it normally is when you want to control it." I nodded.
"Well it doesn't hurt to try."
I reached back and pulled out my spiderpack trying to will it to take the statues in before much to my shock, it leapt out of my hands and landed on the ground, standing on its legs. Then much to my shock the legs began walking in different directions as the mouth opened but it continued to expand till the mouth was the size of Toothless with his wings out. It was then the four claws that were used to climb up things or as weapons flipped upwards, so they were facing the ceiling while the others walked my pack over to the statues. Two of the legs reached out to the ruby encrusted one and lifted it up before placing it in the mouth but it didn't fall in, it looked as if it were set onto something. We all watched as the statue slowly sank into the darkness of the mouth as if it were quicksand while the legs grabbed another statue and placed it in the mouth next to the statue that was now up to its claws in the darkness. The spiderpack repeated this process with the other two statues as we watched it happen until all three statues were completely engulfed in the darkness. I looked up at Ling Cho and said.
"I think you were right about it being controlled by my will."
He nodded as I walked up to the chest holding the gold and lifted it up before placing it in the mouth feeling as if I was placing it on something soft. When I let it go it began sinking into the darkness I tried putting my hand in to feel what I'd placed the chest one and was shocked when I didn't feel anything and actually sank in deeper than the chest. I then tried willing it to bring the chest out and found the arms reached into the darkness and pulled it out with no problems before I willed it to put back in as I turned to Chin Wu and Ling Cho as I said.
"Well this is definitely going to make things easier for me in the future." They both just nodded as I placed the chests holding the paintings and books in next before turning my attention to the pandas. "Where did you get these little guys?" Ling Cho answered.
"An old friend of mine lives in a forest where the pandas live which unfortunately had a fire that left these two orphaned." I looked down at the pandas.
"Poor things." I looked back at him. "Any idea how old they are?"
"My friend believes they are nine months old, so they now eat bamboo that their mother brings them." He then looked down at the pandas. "They are too young to be without their mother." I nodded.
"Good thing I have a bamboo forest on my island from my battle with Akuhei." I smiled down at the baby pandas. "With a little work I should be able to build a little pen for them with a new nest for them to call home." I kneeled in front of the cage. "I think you two are going to like your new home." I stuck a finger through the bars to give a gentle tap onto the nose of one who just sneezed in return making me chuckle as I looked back up at Chin Wu and Ling Cho before bowing. "Thank you so much for bestowing these gifts upon me." Chin Wu replied.
"It is the least we can do for you after all you've done, and I do hope that in the future when we are in need of help, we can call upon your aid." I smiled.
"If you do need help, you know where to find me." They just smiled as I willed my spiderpack to shrink back down which it did with no problems before I picked it up and back on as I said. "I would like to say this trip has been nothing but peaceful and relaxing with no problems, but we all know that would be a lie." We all chuckled at this.
"Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to get home to my island to face the snake guardian who is my wife." They smiled at me as I gave one last bow before Toothless helped me pick up the cage holding the pandas and made our way out heading to the house where I'd pack up my other gifts and then go home.
Half an hour later
I walked through the portal door leading to the portal room in my house as I smiled while turning to the panda cubs who were looking around from behind the bars of their cage. I then used the eye of the dragon to look around the island using the automatons I kept around the island looking at where everyone was on the island and smiled when I saw Blanca and Verta sparring in the training room with Zhang Yong and Astrid watching them. Seeing this I smiled as I turned to Toothless and signaled him to help me carry the pandas cage as I picked up one side with him picking up the other before we carried the cage out of the room and made our way to the entrance hall. When we arrived, we put the cage down as I turned to Toothless and said.
"Watch the little ones for me bud, I need to go let Blanca and Astrid know we're back." He just growled and rolled his eyes. "Hey, they're my girls so it's only natural that I want to see them after returning and we can't leave the cubs alone." I then smiled. "And don't act like you don't want to see them as well since I've seen how you get when Blanca scratches the back of your neck in the spot you love so much or when Astrid brings you chicken legs."
He just growled and looked away in embarrassment making me chuckle as I walked towards the hall that would lead to the training room where Blanca was sparring with Verta. I walked into the room just in time to see Blanca swing her tail at Verta's human torso but Verta ducked avoiding the blow but sadly Verta had her back to the door. This caused Blanca's to come at me, but I quickly jumped up and front flipped over her tails strike before landing back on my own two feet while saying.
"You know Blanca, some women greet their husband home with a kiss, not a hard blow that would send their husbands flying back." I watched as all eyes turned to me before Blanca and Astrid yelled out.
"HICCUP!"
They rushed over to greet me with Blanca returning to her human form as she did so while Verta just sighed as she crossed her arms, rolled her eyes and gave a sarcastic smile. I ignored her and focused on Blanca who embraced me before giving me a kiss on the lips that I was all too happy to return and when we parted Astrid grabbed me by my coats collar and pulled me into another kiss which I was also happy to return. When she pulled away, I couldn't stop the goofy smile from forming on my lips until Verta said.
"Well I guess this means my vacation is over." I turned to her.
"When did you go on vacation?"
"When you left for yours and I was able to enjoy you not being here." I rolled my eyes.
"I missed you to Verta." I then turned to Astrid and Blanca. "And I definitely missed you two." Blanca just giggled and blushed as Astrid said.
"We missed you to but what happened with the dragon kings?"
"I'll tell you both everything, but I think it'd be better if we let everyone on the island know I'm back first and then head over to Berk so that I can show everyone together." They all nodded before I noticed that they were all sweaty. "While I let everyone on the island know I'm back why don't you girls go take a bath to wash off the sweat?" They all looked down at themselves before Blanca said.
"A bath does sound lovely." Astrid then said.
"Not a bad idea." She twisted her shoulder. "It'll help with the aches I got from being slammed into the wall." Verta then said.
"Sorry about that, forgot how fragile you humans are." Astrid shrugged but winced.
"It's alright." She then turned to glare at me. "And don't you even think about peaking in on us Hiccup." I turned to her.
"I would never do such a thing." She rolled her eyes as they made their way out of the training room, but she did stop and turned back to me. "Just to be safe though in case you get any ideas." She gestured to Zhang Yong. "We'll be having him guard the door." Verta looked back to Astrid smiling.
"I'm liking you more and more each day." She just smiled as I groaned knowing this would be headache later on but for now, I needed to get to work.
1 hour later
It's been an hour since we got back to the island and in that time everyone on the island now knows I'm back even though it took me nearly half an hour to wash off the slobber from the dragons and wolves. Besides that, I'd dropped the baby pandas off at the shrine in the bamboo forest with the yuki onna and Nagareboshi watching the two panda cubs in their cage, but I did give them both some bamboo to chew on. Now I was making my up the steps with Blanca and Astrid at my sides while Toothless, Zhang Yong and Stormfly followed us up towards the doors of the great hall. When we reached it, I took a breath and pushed the doors open and as expected everyone was eating lunch and they were so absorbed in their lunch that they didn't notice us walk in. I walked up to the table where my dad and mom were eating lunch with Cloudjumper and Skullcrusher enjoying their fish on either side of the table. When we got closer the two dragons took notice of us, they raised their heads and rushed up to us in greeting making me chuckle as I rubbed their heads while my parents turned to see what was going on. When they saw me my dad yelled out.
"HICCUP!" I smiled as he and my mom ran up to me before my dad grabbed me and pulled me into a hug.
"Easy there dad, I can't breathe." He put me down.
"Well excuse me for being happy to see my son when he goes on an adventure that might anger a god." My mom then said.
"Your father was just worried about you Hiccup and so was I." It was then Gobber walked up.
"And they aren't the only one's lad." He then placed a hand on me. "And seeing as you're still in one piece I'm guessing things went well."
"Well Gobber I will be happy to show you what happened but before I do." I grabbed my fathers' hammer and my mom's staff off the table and took Astrid's axe from her. "For my own safety it best if these aren't in the great hall." I used my ox flame boots speed mode to rush to the doors, throw them out before rushing back to where I was standing originally. "Now I'll happily show everyone what happened." At this point everyone knew I was back and were eager to see what happened as I raised my prosthetic hand while revealing my gold spider before I began the illusion starting in the same place as I did when I showed Chin Wu and Ling Cho what happened.
4 hours later
I ended the illusion and looked around at the shocked faces of the people and could tell my parents, Blanca and Astrid were not the least bit happy with what they saw. By the end of my battle with the Jade Emperor I'm pretty sure my father was ready to attack the illusion himself and I wasn't disappointed when he tackled the illusion of the Jade Emperor but went right through it and tackled poor Bucket instead. I had to freeze the illusion until they were both helped back up and checked over for injuries before we continued with the illusion with no more interruptions until the end, which brings us to now with me looking at me in shock. Before I could say anything my dad then walked up.
"Hiccup, I admit you've done some insane things in the past, but this is beyond anything I've ever seen." He placed his hands on my shoulders. "Son you have to realize that there are people here on Berk and on your island that need you and if something happens to you then-"He took a breath. "Then I don't know what we'll do."
"Dad, I know that there are people here who rely on me and they are the reason I hesitate to go on these adventures but they're also the reason I go on these adventures to begin with." He raised an eyebrow. "Dad the whole reason I go to these exotic places is because I know that the threats I face won't stop until the world is theirs and that includes Berk." I sighed. "Along with this, those places have things I could use on my island and then bring to Berk to help, like the materials or building methods we use to improve our weapons and houses, the riches we can use to lure new traders in, the new crops of fruits, vegetables and herbs I grow which we use to feed our people and heal wounds and cure illness's."
"And we appreciate it all, but we can live with what you've given us so there's no need to go out so much." I raised an eyebrow.
"What are you saying dad?"
"I'm saying I think it's time you settled down and stopped traveling and focused more on your future here on Berk."
"Dad, I can't do that." I pushed his hands off my shoulders. "I'm not done seeing what the world has to offer and I have friends who I'll miss."
"But what about the dangers you constantly get pulled into."
"Those are unavoidable since I'm the only one with the skills and weapons that can save those people."
"Can't they save themselves?"
"Not without risking countless lives and even then, the chance of victory is slim."
"But these aren't your fights."
"So, what am I meant to do?"
"Just walk away and let them handle it themselves." Hearing this I felt my blood boil while I turned my arm into its dragon claw form and grabbed him by the beard and pulled him down, so we were eye level.
"IF YOU WEREN'T MY FATHER THEN I'D SLAM YOUR HEAD INTO THE GROUND USING MY PROSTHETICS FLAIL FOR TELLING ME TO DO SUCH A THING!" I shoved him back. "I WILL NEVER TURN BACK ON THOSE WHO NEED MY HELP AGAINST ANY KIND OF EVIL NO MATTER WHAT IT IS!" I clenched my fists as I looked down. "If I just walked away then the blood of the lives that are lost will be on my hands as much as they are on the ones who took them." I felt a hand come to land on my shoulder and turned to see it belonged to Blanca who then grabbed me by the hems of my coat and pulled me into one hard kiss, then pulled away and said.
"You are the most incredible man I have ever met Hiccup." I smiled. "But you're still not going on another adventure or leaving the island unless it's to visit Berk for a good long time." I frowned but before I could protest Astrid walked up and punched me in the shoulder.
"Don't even think about protesting since you just took on a god, you're lucky to be alive." I nodded as Astrid turned to my father. "And with all due respect chief, shut up." The silence in great hall that followed that simple statement was so powerful you could hear a pin drop on a feather pillow. "Hiccup may keep getting pulled into dangerous situations but he always comes out stronger than before and it's always to protect not only the place he's in but also Berk and the rest of the world so just accept that you can't stop him from travelling." Blanc then stepped up.
"Astrid is right as you do not seem to realize that in doing so all you shall accomplish in doing is making the relationship you share with Hiccup worse than the one you shared before he met Toothless." My dad stared at her before he sighed and fell back into his seat while looking down and shaking his head.
"You're both right and I know I wasn't the best father and still far from it, but I do love my son enough not to watch him go up against a god alone." It was then I stepped forward.
"Dad I wasn't alone when I went up against him." He turned to me. "I had the four dragon kings fighting with me and soon in the battle I also had Toothless fighting with me from within my body." I took a breath. "Along with this you don't seem to get that I'm not the clumsy child I was before." I opened out my arms. "I've gone up against bandits, pirates, monsters, giants, the king of the titans and now a god." I walked up to him. "After all I've accomplished, I figured you'd understand by now."
"I should have more faith in you and that I shouldn't try to keep you from doing what you love which is travelling the world and helping the innocent."
"All of that but I was actually talking about how I'm not that easy to kill." He chuckled before I turned to my mom who hadn't said a thing the entire time and just sat there frozen. "You alright mom?" She didn't answer so I patted her on the shoulder and was shocked when she fell to the ground and didn't get back up. "MOM!" I immediately got down on my knees to check her out before letting out a sigh of relief when I found out she was still breathing and just unconscious before I turned to my dad. "She's fine, just unconscious." He sighed.
"She must've fainted with her eyes open again." I raised an eyebrow.
"Again?"
"Long story but I think it best you get out of here for now son since when she does wake up you are not going to want to be around her until she's calmed down enough to talk to you without yelling her head off."
"Is she really that bad?" Gobber walked up and answered.
"Lad, when she's in the mood we know she'll be in she makes your fathers yelling seem like a simple whisper." Hearing this I turned to my dad.
"Send me a message when she's calmed down and it's safe for me to come back to Berk." He nodded.
"Gladly but for now try and stay out of trouble since winter's coming and we'll need your help to take care of the village before the ice sets in." I nodded while smiling.
"Relax dad, I've got a new island section to check out, new abilities to discover, new gifts to check out, new animals to help settle in and I still need to help find jobs for the dragons I got from China." I turned to Blanca and Astrid. "How are they doing by the way?" Blanca answered.
"They seem to be settling in well but spend their days flying all over the island as if they're looking for something."
"Probably just exploring their new home while looking for things they can do to help." I smiled. "I better get back and help find them duties." She nodded.
"Now I've got to get going before mom comes to and my hearings damaged." With that said I left with Blanca and Astrid following alongside the dragons and Zhang Yong.
1 hour later
It's been an hour since we got back to the island and that hour was spent organizing all the items, I brought back with me, but it was worth it since everything was now where they belonged. All the gold, jewels, and other treasures were now safely categorized and now locked up in my vault including the four statues of the dragon kings. Along with these treasures Táojīn zhě added his own treasures to the vault except for the chunks of gold from his collection which was waiting in my forge to be melted down and processed into items. The paintings I was given though were hung up in the art gallery but after each one was put up; I took a moment to admire them since they were beautiful while the books and scrolls were put in the library. As for the weapons that belonged to the statue guards who guarded the four dragon kings, they were put together in my trophy room on a single large pedestal.
Now I was making my way up towards the nightfury statue with both Blanca and Astrid at my sides, Toothless and Stormfly following us and Zhang Yong at Blanca's side. In my real hand was the new island piece ready to be added onto the crystal model and I was looking forward to seeing the new island section since I wanted to see what it had to offer me in the long run. It was then we reached the top and I looked up at the statue to see Aelius perched on the wings of the statue looking down at us making me smile and wave at him as I said.
"Hey Aelius, we got a new island piece and just came by to add it to the island."
He sang and nodded as I held up the island piece before the statue brought out the crystal island model before the piece flew out of my hands and into a spot between the coliseum and the snake guardians' forest. It was then the earth began to shake as we rushed to the edge to see the new island section come out making me smile since from what I could see it looked like a nice piece for the island. I mounted Toothless and helped Blanca on while Astrid mounted Stormfly as I said.
"Let's go check out the new island section." Everybody nodded before we took off.
fifteen minutes later
It's been fifteen minutes since the new island section came up and we've spent that time flying over the new section checking it out from above and I was not disappointed with what I saw. The entire island section was shaped like a bowl with four great mountains facing West, North, South and East with giant caves at the peaks which I assume was where the four dragon kings would live. Connecting these mountains were large hills that were three quarters as tall as the mountains and had slopes leading down that were made up of lairs making them look like large steps. It was on these steps that crops were growing but each hill had its own form of crops that were growing on it giving some variety to the new piece.
The hill facing Northeast had rice patties with fresh rice sprouts growing out of it making me smile since I'd been wanting to make them myself but couldn't find a good place on my island to set them up. I licked my lips at the thought of enjoying a simple bowl of rice with a simple side of teas and freshly cooked fish with a side of vegetables since it was my favorite Chinese style meal. On the hill facing Northwest were steps that were the same size as the rice patties but the difference was instead of rice patties there were rows of tall shoots of what I recognized as sugar can which was a treat I enjoyed snacking on from time to time when I was in China. The Southwest hill was built like the other hills but growing on the layers of this hill were rows of bushes covered in tea leaves which I knew were the ones I was told about when I was given my tea pot. Finally on the hill in the Southeast hill that like the others was made like steps but this hill didn't just have a single thing growing on the different lairs but a different tree type on each lair bearing fruits like dragon fruits, lychee, mangosteens, durians and rambutan. These were fruits I'd been wanting to grow in my own garden but they were hard to find on my trips since the times I was in China they weren't in season so the seeds were hard to come by as were small sprouts of the trees that grew them.
The crops weren't the only thing on these hills though as in the middle of these fields were stairways leading up towards the tops of the hills that had a stone path running around the top leading to the mountains. These paths had stairways built into the sides of the mountains leading up to the caves that I assumed would house the four dragon kings. These rivers all started on the sides of the mountains as majestic waterfalls bursting from the mountain sides and falling into the rivers that flowed on the sides of the paths that were facing in, down the side of the stairs. They rushed down the sides of the stairs right into the lake that was in the center of the hills and mountains filling it while also watering the crops as well.
As for the lake in the center of it all, this lake was crystal clear to the point that the suns light reflecting off it looked like diamonds were floating on the surface. The reflection of the suns light wasn't the only thing on the water though as there were also lotus flowers floating on the surface of the water adding to its beauty. In the center of this lake was a small island with a Chinese style gazebo that had four cherry blossom trees facing the mountains and leading to the island were circle shaped steppingstones in straight rows. I steered Toothless down towards the stone path that ran around the entire lake with Astrid following on Stormfly until we came to land on the path with me looking out at the island while smiling as I dismounted Toothless said.
"Shall we go check out what the gazebo has?" I helped Blanca down.
"I think that would be nice." Astrid then dismounted Stormfly as she said.
"Let's do it."
With that said we took off across the lake using the steppingstones to get across the water until we got onto the island and made our way over to the gazebo. The gazebo looked lovely with red supports and fencing around the edges while there were four wooden steps leading into it and its floors were a nice dark wood. In the center of the gazebo was a simple square shaped floor table with two floor pillows on each side of the table making the sight look like the perfect place to come and talk in peace. I walked up to the table and sat down on one of the cushions with Astrid and Blanca sitting on their own with Astrid sitting on the right side of the table and Blanca on the left. I took another look around at the place and said.
"This is a pretty peaceful place." The girls nodded as Blanca said.
"It's lovely." Astrid nodded.
"I have to admit this new piece is nice but I'm not too sure of some of these plants."
"Relax Astrid, I've enjoyed some of the crops these plants provide." Blanca nodded,
"As have I." It was then I said.
"I think now would be a good time to bring out the tea pot I was given by the gods." They both nodded as I brought it out and set it down on the table along with three china cups. "Just need to grab some of the tea leaves." They nodded as I stood up and made my way back to the mainland to get the leaves.
Five minutes later
We were all sat down under the gazebo with Toothless and Stormfly laying outside enjoying the sun while we all sat down drinking our tea which I had to say was tasty and did have a calming effect. Along with the tea there was also a small plate in the middle of the table full lychees I picked for us to enjoy with our tea and Astrid seemed to enjoy them. It was then I stood up and brought out the chest that held the four dragon king pearls and placed it on the table before opening and looking down at the pearls smiling as I said.
"I think you four are going to like it here." My smile quickly turned to a look of surprise when the pearls glowed brightly and floated out of the chest while spinning around rapidly before Astrid asked.
"What's going on?"
"I don't know."
As soon as the words left my mouth the pearls flew away and dashed into the caves with each going into a cave that pointed towards where the respective dragon king ruled. The black pearl went into the cave facing the North, the azure pearl went into the cave facing the East, the red pearl went into the cave facing the South and the white pearl went into the cave facing the West. Before we could react though each cave glowed from the inside followed by loud roars that echoed through the area and actually shook the stuff on the table. We all stood up and ran out of the gazebo to see what was happening just in time to see all four dragon kings fly out of the caves and circle around the area before flying down and hovered above the lake while circling the island. I just smiled and laughed hard while yelling out.
"YEAH, WELCOME BACK!" They came to hover just above the water while facing the island as I turned to the girls. "Ladies meet the four dragon kings." Both Blanca and Astrid just stared in shock at the dragon kings who bowed to me making me sigh in annoyance since I didn't like anyone bowing to me but before I could do anything else an all too familiar voice echoed across the land yelling.
"HICCUP!" I winced since although the voice was feint it still had power behind it and I knew it meant one thing.
"Sounds like my mom just woke up from her faint." I turned to the girls. "What do you think odds are she'll come here, and we'll be able to get her to calmly sit down and enjoy some tea with us to calm her nerves." They just gave me a look that screamed 'are you serious' making me sigh. "I know not very good, but it doesn't hurt to hope." They nodded as I turned to Toothless. "Well better get this over with." I mounted Toothless and we took off to face the angry snarling beast that was my mother.
AN: Hey guys, yes I know this chapter wasn't very exciting but I intended it to be a real chapter and the first part was longer than I intended it so be and I just went with it. I can promise you next chapter will be a bit more exciting but for now I figure I'll answer some questions from the reviews I've gotten.

Expertoftheblade:
I'm still considering Ryujin and as for Shangri la that comes much later on
