Chapter 214

Hiccups POV:

Two weeks have passed since Arthur's murder, twoweeks of me doing my best to clean up Morgan le Fay's mess by attacking the bases she left behind and killing every beast of hers that I could find. No matter how many I killed though a few always seemed to escape to another base but I'm guessing that they told the others about me since whenever they saw me, most of them ran away in fear. It didn't do them much good though as I easily caught up to most of them and ended them but with each base I'd take a trophy from a killed orc, whether it be a piece of their armor or their weapon. I didn't stop with just the orcs though, with Arthur gone multiple bandit groups took it as an opportunity to feed on the scraps left by the orcs and began attacking travelers with some even joining the orcs in their attack. I've been tracking these groups down and capturing the humans while wiping out their orc comrades before dragging the humans back to Camelot for punishment.

This brings us to now with me in Camelot, standing on one of the towers with Toothless laying down behind me and me looking down at the cap in my hand that had been died red using the blood of an innocent under the light of the moon. I'd gotten around twenty of them on my latest raid in an old abandoned castle that Morgan le Fay had been using as an armory and treasury which was guarded by both orcs and a large group of creatures called redcaps who originally lived there. The orcs had already fled leaving the redcaps and I killed every last one I could find in that cursed place since they were killing people by beating them to death long before the war and they'd continue doing so for years unless they were stopped. It was then the sound of footsteps mixed with the tap of a stick hitting the ground making me sigh as I turned around to greet those who'd come to see me by saying.

"Kayley, Garett, it's been a while." Garett answered.

"Indeed, it has old friend." Kayley then said.

"We were told about what happened at the final battle and regret that we weren't able to come help." I nodded.

"I was told you were both on a different mission." Garett answered.

"We were helping escort refugees and supplies to safer areas." I nodded before Kayley said.

"Hiccup, we were told that the four horsemen of the apocalypse were summoned but attacked by giant wolves, three of which had three heads." I nodded.

"You heard right, those three are mine with the three headed ones being the offspring of the one headed one." Garett then asked.

"Where in the world did you get such beasts exactly?"

"The father was a gift from the elves of Elfhiem while the other three were born from the litter of him and the three headed dog who guards the gates of hell in Greece." They nodded as Kayley asked.

"Where are they now exactly as I believe they'd be helpful with dealing with the remaining orcs." I shrugged.

"I sent them home after about a week since I was getting tired of the nobles trying to buy them and on two occasions, getting yelled at to control them when some attempts to steal the pups didn't end well." They both nodded before I sighed. "Alright guys, I can tell you're not here for just a little reunion so what's your real reason for coming to see me." Kayley replied.

"Merlin called us and told us about how you've been acting lately, and it worries us." I raised an eyebrow.

"What do you mean?" Garett replied.

"We've been speaking with the other knights and they claim you've become very aggressive when confronting the orcs and after speaking with some of the rescues who saw you fight, they claimed you showed no mercy to those you faced." I shrugged.

"Those beasts deserve no mercy after all the harm they've done." Kayley then said.

"And what about the bandits you brought in?" I turned to her. "I saw the condition of the leader you just brought in earlier today, he was in a coma with multiple broken bones." I clenched my fists.

"He was working with some orcs to capture refugees so they could be sold as either slaves or meat." I looked down. "That's not something I can let go so easily." It was then Garett said.

"Hiccup, I don't need my eyes to see that there's more to it than what you're letting on nor do I need my sight to know that it'd help to get it off your chest." I looked down and growled.

"I'm angry, okay?" I clenched my fists. "Angry that scum like him not only taking advantage of the chaos but also working with those who helped throw this land into the chaos." I growled. "It's like they're just trying to rub my failure in my face." They both looked at me, confused before Kayley asked.

"You're failure?"

"I should have protected him." I dropped to my knees. "I was right there, and I couldn't save Arthur from Mordred." I slammed my fists against the ground. "I'm angry because the world lost a great man like Arthur because I wasn't there to save him even though I was so close but scum like those bandits is still out there making people's lives harder and to make matters worse they're allying themselves with the orcs." Tears began to form in my eyes. "It's all my fault for not wiping out more bases when I had the chance and for not doing my duty as a knight and protecting the king." I began sobbing as I was kneeled on the ground as Kayley gently embraced me with Garett patting my back while Toothless gently nuzzled me and for a while, we stayed that way on the tower.

3 days later

It's been three days since that night on the tower where I came clean about my feelings towards the death of Arthur and since then not much has happened other than the regular raids. The only difference is I wasn't so brutal when it came to the bandits and the knights were able to help out a bit more while before I'd handle everything and let them do the cleanup. Besides that, there'd been a battle between the nobles over who would take the throne of Camelot as the new ruler since Arthur never left an heir. For the time being the nobles formed a council to rule in his place until a new king could be selected to take the throne, but they'd never wield Excalibur. The reason for this is I feared Excalibur being abused again like it was when Ruber was able to get a hold of it so Merlin advised me to put Excalibur back in the stone where it'd be safe since only the true king would be able to remove it.

When the sword was back in the stone, I asked Merlin where Excalibur originally came from since it had been bugging me for a while, but I never got the chance to ask. Turns out Excalibur was originally in the care of the lady of the lake who gave it to Merlin who was to give it to the king of Camelot to act as a symbol of their right to rule and to protect the land. Sadly, Excalibur was given to him too late since Arthur's father passed away before he could take it or announce the existence of his son. At the time there were a lot of nobles fighting over the throne and Merlin knew that some wouldn't hesitate to kill Arthur to get it so he hid Arthur a way to be raised as a villager and plunged Excalibur into the stone for safekeeping as only the true king could free it. After that a ton of nobles tried to pull it free with no luck which resulted in the land falling into war until the day Arthur stepped forward and was able to free the sword the sword from the stone.

Speaking of Arthur, his body has remained in the crystal coffin under the watchful eye of Merlin until a proper funeral could be held for him. Now with the remaining bases destroyed and plans either being made to get things back on track or already underway the day of the funeral had finally come. Presently I was standing at the round table looking down at Arthurs body that had been laid down there for each of the knights to pay their respects with Toothless at my side as I looked down at him sadly before I said.

"I am so sorry that I wasn't able to save you my friend, but I have been doing my best to help save this land alongside the knights." It was then a hand landed on my shoulder before the familiar voice of Merlin said.

"I know he's looking down at you in gratitude for all you have done Hiccup." I nodded.

"Thank you, Merlin." I turned to face him. "You never told me where Arthur would be laid to rest."

"To a place where no one shall be able to bother him." I nodded.

"When do we leave?"

"In five minutes!" I nodded.

Nightfall

The full moon had risen over the land and I was now standing alone at the fog covered lake where Merlin had set off on a raft with the body of Arthur claiming he needed to continue the journey on his own. After that all the other knights left to continue their duty after the funeral while Toothless was laid down behind me as I continued to look out at the lake. As I did, I could only feel guilt at the fact that I'd let not only Arthur down but also my ninja masters and master Shen for allowing my emotions to control me which is something they taught me never to do. The reason is allowing one's emotions to control how they act is one of the worst things you can do in battle as it leads to mistakes and mistakes can lead to one's death or the death of comrades.

It was then I noticed the water ripple before a small white rowboat floated out of the fog and docked on the shore right in front of me but there was nobody on it. I was a little suspicious until a familiar voice on the wind told me that there was nothing to fear and to board the ship to meet with those who wish to see me. Feeling this voice could be trusted I began boarding the ship until Toothless ran up and crooned making me smile before I rubbed his head and spoke.

"Don't worry bud, I'll be back but stay here until I return."

He gave me a nuzzle making me smile and rub his head once more before I boarded the ship and allowed myself to be taken into the fog. For a few minutes there was nothing but fog and although I felt that I wasn't in any danger I kept my guard up since I knew it could be a trick of some sort. It was then the boat broke through the fog and much to my surprise I was showered in daylight which is weird since only a few minutes ago it was nightfall. What really caught my eye though was the island the boat was floating towards since it somehow felt familiar in a way, but I couldn't tell why.

When the ship docked, I got off on the small beach and looked around feeling at peace somehow, like there really was nothing for me to worry about. I looked around at the landscape and had to admit it was truly a beautiful place, but I couldn't help but feel as if I'd been here before somehow. It was then a voice from behind me asked.

"Look familiar old friend?" Immediately recognized the voice and turned around to see Arthur standing there, smiling at me.

"Arthur?" He nodded and looking into his eyes, I knew right there he was the real Arthur.

"It's really me Hiccup." Seeing his smiling face all I could do was drop to my knees, bowing to him as I cried.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry I wasn't there to save you." Tears fell from my eyes onto the ground. "I could have saved you." I kept sobbing before I felt a hand land on my shoulder and looked up to see Arthur smiling at me.

"It wasn't your fault." I frowned feeling he was just trying to make me feel better. "Hiccup, I ordered you to stay out of the fight and you were following orders and focused on the orcs who were coming at us."

"I still should've kept an eye on you and come to help when Mordred threw that powder into your eyes and stopped him from stabbing you."

"Hiccup, none of that was your fault, it was just how things turned out and you have more than made up for it with all you have done since my death."

"But I let my emotions control me and caused more pain than necessary to some people."

"That is what grief does to us Hiccup, still despite your pain you used the pain as a drive to serve the people by going after the remaining orcs, the bandits taking advantage of the chaos and above all you stopped Mordred from taking both Excalibur and the throne." He placed a hand on my shoulder. "You saved my kingdom from eternal darkness Hiccup; you did your duty as a knight and for that I shall never be able to thank you enough."

"But you still died because I wasn't there to save you." He shook his head.

"My death was a sacrifice I was willing to make for my kingdom and its people." He stood me back up. "Hiccup I knew the risks I was taking by going up against Mordred alone, but I felt with Excalibur I would have the upper hand." He gestured to himself. "It was my overconfidence that led to my death so the only one to blame is myself." Before I could reply he continued. "And as a final order from a king to his knight, stop blaming yourself for any part of my death when none of it is your fault." I gave a small smile and bowed.

"As the king commands." He chuckled.

"Now come along, the gods of this land wish to speak with you." My eyes widened before I smiled.

"That's why this place looks familiar, it's Avalon." I looked around. "I remember this place from my first-time meeting with the gods of this land."

"And they wish to meet with you again." I nodded.

"How do I get to their table?" Arthur gestured to a path in the trees.

"Head down that path and you will find your way there." I smiled and nodded.

"Thank you, Arthur." He just smiled.

"I'll be waiting here when you get back." I nodded and made my way down the path.

5 minutes later

I was now making my way down a familiar path with large stone tablets holding legends carved into them and smiled at the memories before making my way down the path until I reached the familiar ring of pillars with the stone table. I took a breath and stepped into the circle before shutting my eyes when the blinding light formed and heavy winds picked up but when they died down I saw the gods at the stone table, like last time. I bowed to them as they all smiled before the god Dagda said.

"It's nice to see you again Hiccup." I stood back up straight.

"It's nice to see you all as well but why I've been brought here, I have no idea."

"We brought you here to be rewarded for all you've done for this land in your latest adventure."

"But I don't deserve to be rewarded." I looked down. "I didn't save Arthur and the lands been thrown into chaos because of it."

"A chaos which you have been trying to bring order to by attacking those remaining abominations known as orcs, freeing the people they captured and getting them to Camelot while also raiding the orc bases of any supplies that you gave to Camelot to help the people rebuild their lives and the kingdom." I nodded.

"But Camelot still lost its king."

"And he will be remembered in legends that will go on for eternity thanks to your defeat of Mordred and helping rebuild the kingdom."

"But is it enough?"

"Hiccup because of your actions after the battle Camelot will grow and although it will not go by the same name over time it shall continue to be a sanctuary for those who call this land home." I nodded.

"Alright, I believe you." They all smiled.

"Now let's move onto your rewards." The goddess Áine stood up and said.

"Hiccup Haddock, I was impressed by how you handle the orcs and took the time to escort people back to Camelot." I shrugged.

"I couldn't leave them and Toothless couldn't lift them all, so we had to take our time." She smiled.

"Well I hope this gift will make things a little easier for you." She pulled something out of her sleeve and tossed it to me to reveal a simple white leather bag with a blue leather bottom, red string going around the top that could be pulled to seal up the bag and the Celtic gods symbol on the front. "That is no ordinary bag Hiccup Haddock as it possesses abilities you will have to discover for yourself." I nodded as I smiled.

"Makes things more fun for me." She smiled as the goddess Anu stood up.

"Hiccup, you lent every last one of your mystic forces to help fight against the orcs and trolls, but I could sense you felt they were not enough." I shrugged.

"It's true since the orcs numbered in the hundreds but those, I did have got the job mostly done." She reached behind her and pulled out a grey bag.

"Well these might help in the future." She tossed me the bag. "The items within the bag will constantly reform so you shall never have to worry about running out of the item but what the items are and what they do are things you will have to find out when you return to the mortal world." I nodded in thanks before she sat down as the god Lugh stood up.

"Hiccup, it is good to see you again." He then looked at my prosthetic. "I see the prosthetic I built you has gone through quite a few changes since we last met." I held up the prosthetic and nodded.

"Yeah, I mean no disrespect by its changes lord Lugh, the upgrades simply came with the adventures I went on." He smiled.

"Don't worry Hiccup, I designed that prosthetic so it could be upgraded but not by human hands, so I know those who changed it knew what they were doing." I nodded. "Now do you recall what I told you what it was made of?" I nodded.

"You told me it was made of leprechaun gold."

"I am afraid I did not tell you the whole truth about that Hiccup." I raised an eyebrow. "Leprechaun gold is only an ingredient in the material I used to create it as it has a high magic containment ability."

"Is that how leprechauns are able to keep tabs on where their gold is?"

"And how they keep a connection to it no matter how far away they are from it." He shook his head. "Anyway, as I was saying I was able to merge the gold with a few other mystic materials and have been able to forge some magnificent things with it, including your arm and Excalibur." My eyes widened.

"You forged Excalibur?"

"Of course, I did, no mortal could forge such a weapon, even with their own magic and I was asked to create a weapon that would allow the mortal ruler of this land to not only prove their right to rule the land but also to protect it from those who would threaten it." I nodded as he sighed and looked down. "I am sad that it was abused by that mortal known as Ruber." He then looked back up at me. "I am however grateful that you were able to keep it out of the hands of that demon in mortal form, Mordred." I smiled.

"There was no way I was going to let that psycho get his hands on such a powerful weapon." He smiled at me.

"Well either way, I am grateful for what you did and for it I give you this gift." He pulled out a small basket with ten fist sized balls. "These balls contain the metal I call Sentinel gold and it was used to create Excalibur and your prosthetic." He allowed the basket to float over to me. "There are some things you need to know about this metal." I raised an eyebrow. "This metal is alive in a sense which is how Excalibur knew when it was time to free itself from the stone and why your prosthetic connected to you when you first put it on." I nodded. "The metal in these balls knows it was made for you and shall be loyal to you while answering to your will." I stared at the balls in surprise hearing this. "I trust you will be able to forge some fine items out of these materials." I smiled and nodded.

"I look forward to working with this metal lord Lugh."

"And I am looking forward to seeing the things that you make out of it." He then sat back down as the god Neit stood up.

"Hiccup, I watched your fight with the orcs and was impressed with the way you used that flail of yours."

"I don't get to use it that often so I decided now would be a good chance to use some moves I'd been practicing with it." He smiled.

"Well keep up the practice but after you've given your flail this." He tossed me a palm sized mace head made of glowing blue crystal. "When you get back to the mortal realm, bring out your flail, hold that crystal near it and see what happens." I nodded to him in thanks as Dagda stood up and pulled out a small crystal piece and tossed it to me as he said.

"A gift from the lady of the lake but in order to complete this piece you must take it back with you and into the castle garden." I raised an eyebrow.

"What'll it do when it's there?" He smiled.

"That is something you shall have to see for yourself." I nodded. "Now the boat that brought you here is waiting for you where you left it with Arthur and shall take you back to the mortal realm so until next time we wish you luck on all your future adventures." I smiled and gave one last bow before walking down the path to the boat.

5 minutes later

I was back at the shore where the boat was waiting for me alongside Arthur which brings us to now with me hugging the king as I said.

"Goodbye my friend, I won't ever forget you."

"The feeling is mutual Hiccup." I pulled away.

"I'm truly sorry things had to be this way before I even got the chance to introduce you to my family since I have told them a lot about you." He smiled.

"Maybe we'll meet in the next life Hiccup but for now it's best you head out and find out what the gifts you have been given are capable of."

I smiled and nodded before boarding the ship that set off as I waved goodbye to Arthur on the shores until I was completely devoured by the fog. After that I just waited as the boat slowly took me back to the mortal realm as I looked down at the gifts, I was given and decided to see what I had. I started with the first bag that I was given by Áine and found the only thing it had in it was a small white leather cloth that was connected to the inside of the bag. I pushed the cloth back into the bag, knowing there was more to it than meets the eye but I wouldn't have any idea until I get back to the mortal realm so I could test it out. The bag Anu gave me though had blue stone cubes in them with each side having a part of the body carved onto it and the final side having a Celtic symbol on it. I wasn't sure what they could do but I was looking forward to finding out when I get back to Camelot since they might prove helpful in handling the few remaining bases.

It was then the boat finally left the fog and I was once again under the light of a full moon which allowed me to see the shore where Toothless was waiting but this time, Merlin was next to him. When the boat docked, I hopped off in front of Toothless who nuzzled me as I chuckled while the boat returned to the water and vanished into the fog. It was then as I was scratching Toothless' head from both ends Merlin walked up and asked.

"And where did you go off to?"

"Avalon!" He raised an eyebrow. "Long story short, the gods wanted to see me so they sent a boat that I boarded that took me to Avalon where I met the spirit of Arthur who helped me forgive myself for his death followed by my meeting with the gods in which I was given a few rewards for my deeds." He stared at me for a moment before sighing and shaking his head.

"We clearly have a lot to discuss when we get back to the castle." I nodded.

"Then let's get going as I'd also like to see what these gifts I got can do." He nodded.

"As would I." With that said we took off.

2 days later

It's been four days since my meeting with the gods and most of that time had been spent, learning the abilities of some of the gifts I was given, and I was not disappointed with any of them. The morning after we got back, I got to work on learning their abilities and started off with the crystal mace head since I was curious to know what it would do to my flail. When I first held it near the head the flail absorbed into it before there was a shining light along with immense pain in my prosthetic that made me drop to the ground in pain. When the pain finally ended and the light faded, I was able to look at my flail and saw it had gone through a few changed that would out a doubt make it more deadly. To begin with the flails head was now spiked so fragments were spikes instead of smooth balls meaning if I launched it at someone, it'd kill them. Along with this the ball could split up into three smaller spiked balls with their chains going on for five feet before connecting to the one single chain connected to my prosthetic. This turned my single headed flail into three headed flail and each ball may have been smaller than the large one, but they were just as powerful when slammed down into the ground. Still though this new type of flail would take quite a bit of getting used to so I could use it to its full potential in future battles.

After that I brought out the crystal piece that was said to be given by the lady of the lake, but this was a gift that caused a lot of chaos with everyone that I had to clean up. The reason for this is when I was standing in the castle garden where the stone was, I pulled it out of my spiderpack right before it began shaking and then it glowed so bright it blinded me. When the light died the crystal had a few bumps on the top but the most eye-catching thing when the light faded was that the stone that once held Excalibur and the pillars around it were gone. I was shocked by this, but my shock didn't last long as a scream from behind me brought me out of my thoughts and I turned around to find Merlin standing there, looking at the area in shock. That entire incident took an entire day to explain since every knight, villager, noble and Merlin wanted to know what in the world happened to the stone and pillars.

After that I tried out the stone cubes I was given and at first I didn't know what they'd do until I accidently dropped one on the ground but before I could pick it up it sunk into the ground and then the ground began to shake. Then a creature made of stone pulled itself out of the ground with a triangular prism shaped head, crystal fangs lining its mouth, red crystal eyes and the stone cube imbedded in the centre of its chest between its pecks. Its body was like that of a human with a stone loincloth wrapped around its waist and jagged stones sticking out of its back and was twelve feet tall. (AN: Look up 'overgeared' manga, awakened guardian of the forest' and picture that image with the body made of stone instead of minerals.) I knew that this was a golem and after a few tests I learnt that it'd respond to my will so I could use it to prepare defences or attack enemies.

After I was confident in my ability to control my golems when it really counted, I went on an attack against a group of orcs that had been working with some bandits. It took four of the golems to kill all the orcs in ten minutes with only one crumbling after the cube in its chest was shattered, showing where their weak point is. Luckily, it wasn't enough for the bandits who my golems were able to round up and corner afterwards in three minutes since we were in a cave. It was when I came to confront the bandits did, I learn what the other bags ability as and it was an ability that I knew would come in handy when it came to capturing and moving prisoners. When I got close to the prisoners I had the bag on my belt figuring I could use it to carry some herbs I pick on the way back but instead it began tugging at my belt once I was close the bandits. When I pulled it off my belt the cloth in the bag jumped out and grew, form a tarp but kept one corner in the bag before it wrapped around the nearest bandit and pulled him into the bag.

I was shocked by this and wondered how I'd get the guy out before the bag pushed him out, completely unharmed but confused. I decided to experiment a bit more and learnt that the bag could make the cloth three times larger than the size it used to grab the bandit allowing it to pull in the whole group. When I got back to Camelot, I tried releasing the bandits and had no trouble doing so before the knights came and took them away to face punishment. After that when interrogations began the bandits claimed that when they were pulled into the bag there was nothing but darkness before there was a light and they found themselves standing on a hard-black floor in a circle shaped, leather tent with multiple cells built around the walls with each of them in different cells.

Then there's the new metal I've been experimenting with after opening just one of the balls and I was shocked by what came out of it. The metal was actually floating in midair and was gold in color, but the thing is, it looked as if it were a liquid, so it was kind of like mercury in a way. Either way I was looking forward to working with it and took over one of the forges to experiment with the Sentinel gold that one ball supplied and ended forged a small disc that was slightly bigger than my father's hand. I learnt if I willed it to move in a way like to attack something it would move on its own in ways I didn't will it to when I willed it to protect me it would move to take the strikes of whatever was attacking me on its own. I knew this last ability would come in handy, so I forged a second one out of another ball of Sentinel gold in case someone tried to strike me while the first one was occupied. I'd tested them out against a small group of orcs that were trying to leave the land with a few captured villagers and they worked great since they may have been like liquid when they first came out of the shells, they were hard as gold once forged. With them the orcs couldn't get in a single blow against me and left themselves wide open for fatal strike, so they went down easily. I'd taken to keeping both discs on me by having them remain against my back, under my spiderpack so they could come out quickly when they're needed.

Other than that, the only other interesting thing to happen is there was a break in with someone sneaking into Merlin's lab but the strange thing is nothing was taken, not even the sword Mordred used which was the most powerful thing in the room. Merlin did claim though that something was off with the book Morgan le Fay used to summon the horsemen, he claimed it had given off this dark aura before the break in and now it just gave off a faint glow that was getting weaker each day. We just past it up to the dark magic dying out in the book but it was during the investigation where I stumbled upon one of Merlin's creations that caught my interest. A cube of light blue slime that eats grime, filth, rust and other such things and learnt from Merlin that it was a failed experiment that he hoped to use to dissolve metal but now he just kept it around to get rid of dirt and clean some things. This was an item I knew I could use on my deep-sea explorations for cleaning up the treasures I find since it would save me time, washing off barnacles and rust. Merlin was happy to give me one of the extra slimes he had since he had no use for it.

Now I was standing in front of the portal door with Toothless next to me and Merlin in front of us with a sad smile as I rubbed Toothless' head before I said.

"I'd like to say this trip has been nothing but wonderful Merlin but we both know that'd be a lie."

"I know that this trip has been tough on you as it has been with all of us but know that both I and all those who call this land home, are truly grateful for all you have done on this trip and that if it weren't for you, all of Camelot would be under the command of Mordred by now with countless lives either taken or enslaved." I shrugged.

"I was just doing my duty as a knight of the round table." He smiled and placed a hand on my shoulder.

"No Hiccup, what you have done goes far beyond the line of duty and for that you deserve all you have received on this journey." I smiled. "You also deserve this as a symbol of your victory or simply as a souvenir from this little adventure." He pulled out the helmet Mordred wore and handed it to me. "I've studied it fully and cleansed it of any form of dark magic so now it is simply a helmet that I believe will make a fine trophy making me smile."

"Thank you, Merlin, and remember, if this land is ever in danger, just let me know and I will return without hesitation." He smiled.

"Thank you Hiccup, now you get going as I am sure your wives have grey hairs from worrying so much about you." I chuckled.

"Merlin, my wives don't get grey hairs, they get angry at me for making me wait for them and when they get angry, I end up spending a couple of nights on the couch." He chuckled.

"Few beasts can match up to an angry woman." I chuckled.

"Too true!" I then gave him a wave and made my way through the portal with Toothless at my side and after that getting back to the island, only took a minute and as soon as we were in the portal room, I sighed.

"It's good to be home." I turned to Toothless. "You ready to get back to our normal routine bud?" He growled and nodded making me smile. "Alright bud but please leave the girls alone for a few days since I'd like some down time before I need to clean soot and sap off your body from your failed attempts at flirting." He growled and slapped me with his ear flap, but I just chuckled. "Don't worry bud, I wasn't mr smooth talker when it comes to the ladies when I was young." He just growled as I rubbed my eyepatch. "Now let's see where everyone is on the island."

I looked through the eyes of my various scouters to see what was going on around the island and what I saw made me smile since it was adorable. My family was in the great planes having a picnic with little Chara taking a nap with her head in Blanca's lap and bunny in her arms while Brant was busy laying on the ground and watching the clouds go by and Astrid was cutting some meat and bread for a snack.I smiled and turned to Toothless as I said.

"Well bud, let's go greet the family so they'll know we're back, safe and sound." He growled and nodded before we made our way out of the room.

10 minutes later

I was making my way up the great planes to where my family was sitting around with Chara, still soundly sleeping while using Blanca's lap as a pillow and Brant watching the clouds go by. I smiled at them since they didn't notice me yet before I asked.

"Is there room for two more at this little picnic." Astrid looked up from the bread she was cutting, Blanca looked up from Chara who had begun waking up while Brant sat up before Astrid and Blanca both yelled.

"HICCUP!" I smiled.

"I'm back girls and this time I came out of the battle with all my limbs." That was all I got out before I was tackled to the ground by Astrid. "You know just because I didn't get hurt on this trip doesn't mean I can't feel-" She cut me off by pulling me into a hard kiss and when she pulled away I stared at her for a few seconds before smiling. "I take it back, if that's what comes after the tackle then do so anytime you want." She just smiled but then punched me.

"That's for not letting us know how you were doing for days." She then pulled me into another kiss. "And that's for everything else." I smiled before I stood up right as Blanca walked up and kissed me as hard as Astrid did before pulling back and gently caressing my face.

"I am truly happy you have come back to us beloved." I smiled at her before I felt a tugging at my grootslang coat and looked down to see it was Chara who was looking up at me making me smiled as I picked her up.

"And a hello to you to little lady." She smiled and hugged my neck. "I take it you missed me?" She nodded.

"Please don't leave again." I gently hugged her.

"Don't worry after this latest trip, I don't intend to go anywhere unless it's for a vacation with everyone here." She smiled before Brant ran up and said.

"Welcome back." I could tell he was trying to act tough and it made me chuckle as I kneeled down.

"Come on, bring it in little man." He hesitated for a minute before running up and joining his sister in a hug as he said.

"I'm glad you're back and alright." I smiled before pulling away.

"As am I but I hope while I was away, you kept up with your training." He smiled and nodded.

"I have and learnt some new moves." I smiled until Chara pulled away and said.

"Mama Astrid taught Brant lots of cool new things." I was shocked by what she just called Astrid but quickly hid my shock at what he called Astrid and smiled down at Brant who looked a little uneasy.

"Well I'm looking forward to seeing what you're capable of now in the training room." He smiled. "For now, though, let's eat." They all smiled but I gave Astrid and Blanca a look that told them we'd be needing to talk about this later to which they nodded.

Nightfall

Today had not been the least bit easy after the picnic since afterwards I had to take care of a few things such as putting some of the souvenirs away, setting up my trophies in the trophy room and letting the islands inhabitants I'm back. Letting the islands inhabitants know I was back didn't take long as news spread fast on a small island and I got a warm welcome from everyone I saw. Long story short, I needed a quick shower afterwards due to all the dragon and animal slobber I was covered in due to all my dragons and animals being happy to have me back.

Putting the trophies away took some time since I had quite a few trophies from the base raids with me taking a single weapon from each base and I'd raided a lot of bases. These weapons were hung up on the wall above the red cap caps that I hung up in a row in front of Mordred's helmet that I set up on a pedestal. The reason this job took a while was because during it, I also went through a question and answer session with the kids who wanted to know what I did to get the item and of course what they were. This last question was a real pain since I created illusions of what the orcs, trolls and redcaps looked like which frightened Chara who hid behind Astrid while gripping her bunny when she saw them, and it got me glares from the girls.

After this we went to Berk to let everyone know I was back and of course for me to deal with the expected question and answer session that comes every time I return from an adventure. When we got there, everyone was eating lunch but the minute we walked through those doors all conversation stopped and all eyes turned to me right before my father charged and pulled me into a bone crushing hug followed by my mom doing the same. When they let go, I was pelted by questions by them and soon enough everyone else joined before Astrid yelled at them all to be quiet, making everyone quiet down and back up.

Once things had settled down a bit I was able to sit down and begin the illusion to show them all what happened but I did have to cut out a few scenes like some of the grizzlier orc and troll kills and of course Mordred's death because children were present and I didn't want parents complaining to me about giving their children nightmares. After that came the typical question and answer session with people asking me the basic questions like how I felt before the battles, how I came up with my strategies and of course what my new gifts could do. I did bring out my new bag, improved metal flail along with the golem cubes but I didn't use any of them since the golems and flail could cause trouble and my new bag since I didn't want to alarm anyone by using it.

Gobber than asked me if I had any idea what the new material, I was given could do to which I smiled and told the twins to throw things at me. They looked confused for a minute before they shrugged and threw apples and bread at me which is when my golden discs flew out and blocked every shot as I turned to Gobber and asked if it answered his question. He chuckled and nodded before telling me he wanted to know what I intended to make with the remaining materials and when I told him I hadn't figured it out yet he told me to let him know when I did which I promised to do. After that things were pretty calm with some simple questions being answered while the twins continued to throw stuff at me, trying to get past the shields that were faster and blocked every shot.

When nightfall arrived, the real shock came when I tucked Chara in to bed, since when I said goodnight to her she replied with her own goodnight she called me daddy. I stopped when I was halfway through the door and turned to face her to see if she'd made a mistake but she was already fast asleep. I intended to talk to Brant about it but he was also fast asleep in his own bed leaving me to talk to the girls about it and when I spoke to them about it they told me it best I relax a bit first.

This brings us to now with me in the bath, laying my chest down on the edge of it with my head on top of my crossed arms, Blanca wearing a white towel was behind me in the tub and massaging my back while Astrid who was wearing her own light blue towel was sitting on the edge next to me with her legs in the water. I let out a sigh as Blanca pressed her hand deeper into my back, loosening a knot that had formed in it, relieving me of some aches and relaxing me a bit more. It was then Astrid said.

"I'm guessing now would be a good time to tell you about what you missed while you were away." I opened my eyes and looked at her.

"That'd be nice since I'd like to know when you two became mama Astrid and mama Blanca."

1 hour later

It's been an hour since the explanation began and I had to say that it was a rather touching explanation with it starting with Astrid noticing Brant becoming sloppy in his training. When confronted about it he confessed that he was worried about me and that he was afraid I'd die and then let it slip out that it was hard enough for him to lose one father and he didn't want to lose another, showing he'd begun to think of me as a father. Then Chara hurt her knee and slipped up calling Blanca 'mommy' when she was telling her that it hurt so much while Blanca was patching her up. After that the girls officially accepted their roles as the kid's mothers while the kids fully accepted them as their mothers and wanted me back to fully accept me as their new father. I admit it would take some time to get used to but I was more than willing to accept this new position I've been given but tonight I just wanted to relax.

Now I was making my way to my room after soaking in the tub for an extra ten minutes after the girls left needing to relieve a lot more strain in my muscles from all the stress I'd been under. I rubbed my towel through my wet hair looking forward to a goodnight sleep after such an eventful day and spending so much time away from my family. I walked into my room with my towel covering my eyes as I sighed and pulled it off my head and looking at the bed expecting to see both Astrid and Blanca under the blanket, ready for bed but that was not what I saw but I wasn't complaining. Both Astrid and Blanca were on top of the bed, not wearing their night clothes but instead were wearing towels and smiling at me before Astrid asked.

"You didn't really think after all you went through we wouldn't be giving you a special reward for your bravery and coming back to us alive, did you?" I smiled.

"I figured you girls would want me sleeping on the couch for putting myself in so much danger but I like this better." They both giggled before Blanca said.

"We knew what we were going to have to deal with when we married you and accepted it." Astrid then said.

"Now come here, we've been waiting a long time to get you back in our arms." That was all I needed to hear before I smiled and climbed onto the bed with them and got busy, sufficed to say I barely slept after that.

AN: And that brings an official end to this chapter and this 'Camelot Adventure' which I hope you all enjoyed and will remember to review kindly. Have to say I am a little disappointed with the lack of reviews to the chapters of this adventure so I hope this final chapter of this adventure gets a few more. Anyway, I'm having trouble deciding what to do next but I know it shouldn't be too action packed as Hiccup's seen enough bloodshed these past few days so no big fights with mythical beasts or villains please. Also if you're having trouble picturing the bag, look up 'tomb raider king bag' and it will be the bag of the Irish fianna's Finn Maccool as that's the bag I'm using with some alterations to the inside which is not shown in the manga. Anyway, I'm thinking about making a new list of Hiccups family such as wives and kids so if you want it let me know and stay safe, review kindly and have a nice day.
