Chapter 218
Hiccups POV:
It's been a week since I returned to my island after my island after my meeting with the ancient one and that time has mostly been spent with my family since although it was less than a day for them it had been a year for me. I'd been flying with Astrid, taking walks with Blanca, playing with Chara and of course training with Brant who claimed he wanted to also master Vanishing Dragon style ninjutsu. When I asked him why, he told me that when he saw doing some of the moves for the first time it felt right, somehow before he tried doing them himself but I stopped him as he was nowhere near ready to learn the moves for it and besides, my form of ninjutsu was still being developed. Speaking of my new style of ninjutsu I'd been developing some new moves for it when I was training alone and I had to say, they were going to be helpful in future fights.
To begin with I developed the 'Catastrophic Quaken Kick' which can easily take out a fully-grown man who's got a lot of muscle and heavily armored. This move had to be started from a high place since the way it goes is I jump towards the enemy from a high place while curling into a spinning ball to build up speed and when I'm five feet away I'd hold out my feet out allowing me to deliver a powerful kick to the victim. When I strike them though I'd bend my legs and then push up, jumping off the victim's body, adding more force to my blow while back flipping away from the victim and landing on my feet, away from the enemy.
There's also the 'Grapple Grounder Grip' which is a technique is based off of the grapple grounder's ability to wrap around their opponent and squeeze the life out of them. The way this move works is I grab a person from behind with a tight grip around their necks, cutting off their air supply with one arm while using my other arm to pinch a nerve in their shoulder that can knock a man out in ten seconds. These two attacks combined result in the person remaining conscious for at the very most four seconds before they black out and stay down for a good while.
Then there's the 'Terrible Terror Fang Grip' which is a technique based off of the power of a Terrible Terrors jaw strength as when the little guys sink their teeth into something, they do it with a vice grip that's hard to release. The way it goes is I channel my strength into my hand to strengthen my grip on something which is move I'd been practicing on stones until I turn them to rubble within my real hand. With this kind of strength in my grip I'd have no trouble breaking a person's bones into in my hand or causing them pain by grabbing a pressure point.
I also created a move I call the 'Triple Strike Sting' since it involves three nerve strikes like how a triple strike uses its three tails to strike its enemies. The way is first I strike nerves in the opponents' upper arms, completely paralyzing them and in doing so leave my opponent unable to defend themselves before I deliver a powerful strike to their chest, knocking them out cold. This would come in handy in future battles when I was dealing with arrogant warriors who needed to be knocked down a few pegs since nothing gets that kind of message through like a good solid punch.
Then there's my new weapons sash which I'd been working with and I was not the least bit disappointed with what the shuriken and makibishi can do. For the shuriken the first one I discovered had similar powers to my Anubis khopesh and shadow sickle concerning their abilities when used. These shuriken are made of pure black metal and when I threw them right at a person, they'd go right through them leaving the person unharmed until it hits their shadows leaving the victim paralyzed and anchored to that spot so nobody could move them. Then there's orange shuriken that were flaming explosives, plain and simple so when they struck something, they'd stick to something and five seconds later they'd create a small explosion that could throw someone a good ten feet if they were close. There's also the grey metal shuriken that looked like normal shuriken, but these ones were a lot more powerful concerning their cutting powers since they can easily cut through gronkle iron. There's the white shuriken with a unique and deadly ability since when thrown they literally vanish by going invisible like a change wing, so people don't see them until they strike and either kill or knockout the victim. Finally there's the crystal shuriken that had the same power as my clear Loki balls so I can charge them up with my gas and when they hit they go off but the difference between the shuriken and the balls is the shuriken can get more distance when thrown.
The makibishi's on the other hand weren't meant to be used for combat like the shuriken but for escaping large crowds and to set up traps for enemies that can either slow them down or take them out and an ability they all had was the ability to duplicate when tossed and pierce through gronkle iron. The first ones were a green that was so dark it was almost black in color and when I tossed them they sink into the ground and only reappear when someone steps on them, giving them a painful surprise that leaves the victims paralyzed. The next ones I tried were red in color and if stepped on they ignite in a fiery explosion that throws flames everywhere so they would come in handy when attacking enemy bases and I wanted no survivors or base left. Then there's the ones that are grey in color and these ones would leave anyone with a splitting headache if the victim is in a room since when stepped on they let out a blast of air throwing the victims upwards, fifteen feet into the air. There are the navy blue ones that are like snapper dragon traps since when they're stepped on, the spikes that are standing them up flatten to the ground and get longer before the ends curve up and then snap down on the victims foot, stabbing into the sides of their feet like a snapper, slowing them down but still allowing me to lead them into traps. Finally, there are the crystal ones that like the shuriken of the same kind could absorb my gas so when they're stepped on, they not only cause pain but also release the gas.
Besides that, I'd gotten around to releasing my ship and when I saw its new form, I didn't recognize it at first since it looked so different from its original form. The main bodies full size is one hundred and sixty feet while its shape is that of an oval but close to having rectangular sides on the deck but at the end there's a ten-foot-long gap with an extension to the deck beyond it and the hull was now sky blue in color. The deck also has rails guarding the sides of it to prevent people from falling overboard with four lanterns set up on the sides so people could see in the dark. The extension at the end is twenty feet long and fifteen feet wide with a night fury figurehead at the end of it and beneath it was a pointed head like building with a giant metal harpoon head made of black metal beneath it. To get to this extension there's a stairway in the gap leading up to it that can only be accessed through a door on the wall beneath the decks railing facing the stairway.
At the backside of the deck was a building that was fifteen feet long and sticks out from the back of the ship with a smooth surface roof and in front of it on either side of the deck were what looked like extensions of the building but there were four parts sticking out with gaps between. At the ends of these bumps were holes leading into somewhere, but I didn't know where since I couldn't go in and when sent an automaton in all I saw was darkness. Connected to this building was a large room that hung above the deck, shaped like a heart-shaped leaf but with a s pointy end on top of it and beneath it will have seven windows making up the wall that looks out onto the deck and one that makes up the ceiling. On the sides of this were the masts and sails that were now shaped like half circles and able to rise them up or fold down together like the wings of a bat which are affected by the rings wrapped around the poles keeping them in place. They still were as white as diamonds and forty feet in length all together from top to bottom and from side to side they were twenty-five feet in length. Finally, on the bottom of the ship was have several ridges and fins with one on each side and one on the belly which were most likely to help carve through ice. (AN: The image is on my pinterest page.) Along with the outside changes, there've also been changes to the inside along with its capabilities making it more powerful than before and more dangerous for my enemies.
The room above my deck turned out to be the room where my crystal map was stored with the compass on the edge and all the maps I'd gathered. The walls of this room were made completely out of crystal and lined with shelves made of crystal with each holding the maps my ship originally had while the tops of the shelves had the ships I'd captured. The room leading up to it has a marble floor that has a black nightfury symbol on the floor but surprisingly no stairs to take me up to it which surprised me at first until it took me up to the map room.
It was from there I learnt that I could enter the various levels of the ship through this symbol with it either lifting or lowering me to them. The first level on the lower floors turned out to be a hallway with five doors, two on the left and right walls with one at the end of the hallway. The first four of the rooms turned out to be identical guest rooms with a double bed with white sheets, opposite of the door with a window above the beds, a side table on either side of the bed and above the beds on the ceiling were crystals that lit up when a lever on the wall next to the bed was pulled.
Then there's the door at the very end which turned out to be the main bedroom which was pretty comfortable with the upper wall, opposite the door being windows and beneath it was a large bed with a bedframe made of blue crystal that looked like the ship. On either side were nightstands that had yellow orbs that could light up and extinguish whenever a small lever on top of the bed frame was pulled from left to right. Against the right wall was a bookshelf and against the left wall while against the right wall was a single wardrobe with a three armor racks on either side of it.
When I walked out though I noticed the symbol of the tidal classes made of aqua blue crystal on the floor of the hall in the center of all the doors and figuring there couldn't be any harm in trying I stepped onto it. When I did the symbol glowed brightly before it began descending into a long hallway with mirrors covering the walls with a single door at the end. Through the door was a giant room that was revealed to be a bathroom since the floor was white marble while at the back of the room was a large bath that was ten feet wide and went from wall to wall. Above the bath were windows curving around the wall and on the four corners of the bath pouring water into the tub were crystal statues of mermaids holding large pots which is where the water was pouring from. Against the left wall were mirrors with sinks beneath them and white marble stools, attached to the floor opposite them and against the wall opposite to them was a wall of marble shelves. These shelves had baskets to hold clothes on the left side while on the right side of the shelves were white towels for drying off after a bath so it would be nice.
On the floor below this was another hall with three doors at end with one on either wall with the door on the left leading to a forge that was bigger than my last one. This forge had multiple molds hanging on the back walls, a shining forging anvil in the middle, every needed forging tool hung up on the right wall with a weapons rack beneath it, the actual forge on the left and on either side of it were open crates filled with materials. The other room was of course the armory with rows of weapons racks for the weapons so I could easily transfer them from the armory to hear and after a test run of the forge, I learn something else about this ship's abilities. I'd just forged five new gronkle iron swords when I noticed a lever next to the rack and I pulled it out of curiosity and then the rack glowed for a minute before the swords were gone. When I saw this, I went and checked the armory and found them on the weapons racks stored away and ready to go which is when I noticed a lever on the far end and when I pulled it the right wall opened up to reveal the outside with the walls being usable as ramps. I knew this meant I could easily unload weapons for whatever reason whether it be to supply my allies armies or simply to sell them at a market.
Then there's the door at the far end of the hall and when I opened it up, I found myself standing outside int the gap between the decking and the end. When I walked up the stairs to figurehead, I found a spot for my Egyptian statues that allow me to harness the power of the sun, so it'd be a good place to take aim and fire at whatever I'm fighting. I was hoping I wouldn't have to use it for a long time though since such a power should only be used at the worst situations against the most powerful enemies. Also, when I looked down over the railing, I found the windows looking down into the bathroom showing me that this room deck was built above the bath before I returned inside.
Then comes the floor below this room which turned out to be the same as the level above it and after checking the room on the right I found it to be the storeroom. This storeroom was huge with two floors and like the armory the right wall can be lowered down to make a ramp for unloading the stuff. When I first found this storeroom though it was fully loaded with stuff which I'm guessing was from Edwards time since most of the stuff was statues and paintings. At the back of the rooms there was a glass wall, cutting off the section with a door leading into it and when I checked it, it was obvious that this room was for storing meat since it was so cold and there were large pieces of meat hanging from hooks. It took me half a day to empty the storeroom completely and that was with the help of my dragons.
The room across from the storeroom turned out to be the storeroom for livestock which was like my old one with two floors with stairs at the front, five feet from the door on either side. The bottom floor had multiple pens for yaks, cows, horses, alpacas and other such animals with self-refilling water troughs and hay dispensers. The back was a curved, half circle shape divided into three sections that reached the second level in height with each section for a different kind of animal type. The section in the middle wall was a large bird cage that had various branches for the birds to rest on along with a bowl of water on the bottom and another bowl for food. The section on the right however had a glass wall and was full of water to show it was an aquarium for exotic fish I collect like my piranha fish. The final section also had a glass wall but instead of being full of water it had a few branches, a moss-covered ground with some rocks and a small pond in the back corner showing it was meant for reptiles like frogs or iguanas.
After this I went to the upper floors and found multiple coops for chickens and turkeys all in pens so the birds could still wonder around and stretch their legs. Along with this on the edge of the floors is railing but they had a gap between them with a large cage that could be lowered down to the lower floors and lifted up to the second floor to help transport the birds from one level to the other. This would save me a bit of trouble since turkeys and chickens can occasionally get a little restless and hard to hold when on a ship so it would save me a few scratches.
Finally, there's the last room which is something I knew would come in handy in the future when I wanted to collect plant life from other places. This room was huge and full of planters with their being eight square ones in the middle of the room that were only a foot tall but twelve feet wide. Lining the walls were rectangular planters that were three feet wide, five feet long and four feet tall so it was obvious that this place was for holding grown plants. Above these planters, installed in the ceiling were multiple glowing crystals which I'm guessing act as sunlight to feed the plants while next to them were pipes that I'm guessing that would leak water providing the plants what they need.
Then below this floor was one single room with a single metal door which confused me at first until I opened the door to find it was where the cells of the ship were. There were three levels with twenty against the four walls on each floor except for the first floor where there were only three walls of cells. These cells each had three beds and to get up to the upper levels you had to step onto a platform with a black strike class on it which would take you up. As for the cell doors, they were each locked with locks that could only be opened my stone of good fortune and had slots at the bottom to push food through. All in all, these cells were not going to be easy to get out of for anyone.
Then comes the final floor and this one did not have any hallways or doors; the platform just lowers me down right into the giant room which turns out to be the dragons' nest of the ship. This nest was very large with the back quarters floor being a lake for the tidal classes to rest in and after taking a swim in it I learnt that it led right outside the ships bottom so they could come and go as they please. Besides this there were a total of three levels with multiple platforms to nest on and in the middle of the room there were multiple large bowels for fish. To get up to the various levels there was a platform with the symbol that was on the book of dragons that would take me up to them, so I'd be able to check out the dragons nesting there.
Finally, there are the ships abilities which are just as impressive as the inside of it with its abilities to attack enemy ships among other things. For starters it still has the same ability to summon fourteen ships to help in the fights, but it also had a few new abilities that were going to come in handy. To begin with at the head of the ship there were two openings at the sides of the windows looking out to the front and it is from them, flaming metal balls which explode on impact can be launched to do damage to ships. Then there's the giant harpoon head that when launched had a giant chain connected to it so it could pull in enemy ships in and take them down easier. Along with this I saw what the four holes in the humps at the back of the ship were for since they were able to launch the same kinds of balls from them. Between the gaps though a gap would open before a cylinder kind of projectile would be lifted from the gap and then launched forward into the water where they'd speed through until they hit something, before exploding on impact.
The most shocking ability though was how my ship wasn't just able to travel through the waters but through the sky as well and by that, I mean, like Edwards ship it was now able to fly. Along with this it was a lot faster, especially how the sails were able to turn onto their sides so the bottoms were diagonally facing down instead of backwards. Either way it was a cool ability that came with aided the ability to consume other ships and move all those on them into cells, all their supplies into storage and any livestock into the pens. The way this ability goes is my ship would fly over a ship and then the bottom of the ship would completely open up before multiple giant hooks would drop from the ships opening. These hooks would then hook onto the ship below and pull it into my ship and from there it was the same as my old ship with people ending up in cells, the animals in pens and stuff in storage. Along with this I could also pull ships in using the giant harpoon head and the front part of my ship would open four ways with the harpoon in the middle of it before pulling the ship in.
Now I was on the Hawaiian beach of my island wearing a pair of shorts while watching my kids playing in the water with Kal, playfully swimming around with them on his back as Garff playfully chased after them through the water. While I watched this, Blanca was busy preparing lunch at a table I'd built for the beach while Astrid was busy running through the water that came onto the sand, both much to my pleasure, wearing their usual swimming attire and Twilight was napping next to me. It was then the sound of crooning caught my attention and I turned to see Toothless walking towards me covered in sap making me smile as I asked.
"No luck with the girls bud?" He growled making me smile. "You know I'm just teasing you bud." It was then Twilight woke up and ran over to her daddy and gently nuzzled him while he crooned and nuzzled her back making me smile and when she pulled away I stood up and walked up to him. "Come on bud, let's get all this sap off you."
He growled and nodded before we made our way into the water to scrub off all the sap off Toothless from his latest failed attempt at flirting with the female furies. I gently hummed as I cleaned off the sap off Toothless while Twilight sat on his back watching me work on bathing her father until the sound of Blanca's voice caught our attention by calling out.
"LUNCH IS READY!" I smiled and turned to the table before looking at the kids who were being brought in by Kal making me smile since I wouldn't have to go and collect the kids because they were having too much fun so I lead Toothless out the water so we could eat.
5 minutes later
We were all sat down on a blanket enjoying a lunch of pineapple, strawberries, bread and freshly cut boar meat while enjoying a bit of light conversation. It was then I decided to bring up something I've been thinking about since I got back and said.
"All right everyone, I've been doing some thinking and I think it's time we took a family vacation to somewhere we can all just enjoy ourselves." The girls smiled as the kids cheered. "Any thoughts on where we should go?" We began discussing it and it was then Brant said.
"How's about Egypt?" We all turned to him. "I've been reading a bit about it in the library and I've been hoping to see the Egyptian desert with my own eyes while also being able to study their trap making methods which I've read are quite advanced." Chara then said.
"And I want to play and build castles in the sand." I chuckled.
"Why not, it's been a while since I last visited the land of the pharaohs and seen my old friends there." I turned to Astrid and Blanca. "What do you both think?" Blanca replied.
"It would be nice to see somewhere new and I have been wanting to meet some of the people you consider your friends." Astrid then said.
"Sounds good to me since we might be able to enjoy some down time without you being pulled into an adventure." I turned to her.
"Come on, it's not like I do it on purpose." She smiled.
"Yeah, it's your habit of not being able to turn down those in need." She then turned to Blanca and then back to me. "I think I speak for both Blanca and I when I say, it's one of your most attractive qualities." Blanca nodded as I smiled.
"Thanks, but for now we should discuss our plans for the trip like what we'll do while we're there and of course go over the language and proper manners since knowing Cleopatra she's going to want us to join her for dinner." Blanca then said.
"I remember her from your wedding to Astrid, she seemed nice." I nodded.
"She can be nice, but this is something I want everyone here to remember." I looked at all those at the table. "She may be kindhearted, but she is still the queen of Egypt and as such we must show her nothing but the highest respect and never be rude to her in any way." Everyone nodded making me smile. "Alright, we'll begin making plans tomorrow but for now let's enjoy our day here at the beach." Everyone smiled before we returned to light conversation, enjoying our quiet day at the beach.
Nightfall
I was laying down in bed with the girls on either side of me as I enjoyed the silence of the night while thinking about Egypt since it's been a long time since I was last there. I frowned remembering how the last time I was there had to go up against an insane princess who had the power of Seth and sought to become queen of the world while making me her king and vessel for the dark god Seth. (AN: Chapter 95 guys.) Another possible headache I might have to deal with is my Egyptian stalker Henite and her father would no doubt do everything he could to help his daughter on her quest to ensnare me even if I was already a married man. On the bright side it would be nice to see all my old friends again and have a few friendly sparing matches with the guards and knowing them, they're going to ask me for tips on how to fight while Cleopatra would ask about my travels and gifts from the gods.
Sadly, I had the feeling she might try to convince me to move to Egypt and take up a position as her personal bodyguard like she did from time to time when I first came to Egypt and no doubt the nobles would do the same. I sighed knowing there were bound to be some headaches on this trip since no matter where I went I'd always face some sort of headache but I hoped this vacation only had normal headaches and no life-threatening ones so I'd be able to enjoy a vacation with my family. I realized I shouldn't worry about what might not happen, so I allowed myself to drift into the realm of slumber.
Egyptian Desert
Nobodies POV:
In the deep regions of the desert, untouched by the hands of man and lit not only by the light of a full moon but also by the light of the flames, of multiple flaming torches as multiple people dug in multiple pits, searching for something. The mastermind behind this entire operation was a man, dressed in navy blue robes that had multiple diamonds stitched onto them making it look as if he were wearing the night sky itself. Upon his head a pharaohs crown that was navy blue and white in color with the white stripes of the crown, lined with diamonds while the head was a black metal cobra with a diamond in its mouth. To describe his face, he had a small beard and a nasty scar across his left eye which was covered by a black eyepatch that only added to the intimidation of his appearance. It was then a man wearing black robes walked up and bowed as he said.
"I believe we are getting close to the tomb master." The figure turned to him.
"And what makes you say that?" The bowing man stood up to reply but before he could there were multiple screams from one of the pits as multiple Egyptian cobras and asps slithered out of a pit, from a large cavern they'd just broken into. "I now understand why you believe we are near."
He walked toward the pit that people were fleeing from as the snakes slithered over the bodies of those who were closest to the hole when it first opened. As he did so he held his right hand out before it began to vibrate as a sound that was so high, no human would be able to hear it came from the palm of his hand driving the snakes back into the pit. He smiled at their fleeing forms while also looking at the dead bodies in disgust as he muttered.
"Worthless workers." He then walked up to the pit and smiled before the man in the black robes walked up.
"Is it the tomb master?" The man nodded.
"Indeed Tau, this is the tomb of the ultimate beast." He then reached into his robes and pulled out a navy-blue orb. "Soon that magnificent beast shall roam the mortal realm once more, completely under my control." He held the orb high. "And when it does, all shall know and fear the name, Khnurn." He lowered the orb. "Only then shall I have my revenge on that, cursed queen who banished us because of her fear, for the great powers that I wield."
With that said he put the orb back into his robes and jumped into the pit while holding out both hands, driving the snakes within it away from where he was and into the holes in the walls of the cavern he'd jumped into. Khnurn looked around the cavern and when he was sure there were no more snakes, he lowered his hands before holding out his right hand and using his magic to form a fireball above it. It was then he noticed a large statue of a king cobras head with the mouth being wide open and acting as the entrance to a large tunnel, making Khnurn smile as he made his way in.
As he walked down the tunnel, he noticed multiple crystal support beams that had middles curving out that made them resemble a rib cage but he just ignored it and continued to make his way down the long, twisting tunnel that got steep soon after. The steepness came to stop but he was still forced to continuously walk down as the tunnel seemed to twist into a corkscrew like form. After walking down, the tunnels for fifteen straight minutes until he came into a large cavern that was at the end of the tunnel before he looked around the cavern. He saw there were multiple dried skeletons, covered in cobwebs and after examining the jewelry on them, he realized that they were the bodies of high priests from the temples of every Egyptian god there was, including one from Seth. Then at the back of the cavern was a pit full of mercury, surrounded by chains that were held up by being wrapped around multiple columns that reach Khnurn's waist in height and on top of each was a statue of one of the Egyptian gods, facing the pit as if they were guarding something. The chains all lead up into something with some holding weights while others led into the mercury pool of mercury to show something was being held in it. Khnurn smiled as he said.
"Finally, the tomb of the beast spawned from the blood of Apep that fell to earth so long ago." He held his arms out. "THE TOMB OF THE PHARAOHS SERPENT!" He then walked up to the chain and smirked as he reached into his robes before pulling out a khopesh. "Now to free the beast and make it mine."
He brought his blade down on the chains, slicing through them as if they were nothing causing them to be pulled around the pillars that slowly rotated as weights came down and the chains in the mercury rose, bringing with them a human sized statue of a coiled cobra. This statue was black in color with gold strips wrapping around most of it covering the black stone with a smaller snake on the front of its head like on a pharos crown and diamond eyes that seemed to shine with power and a mouth full of gold teeth with a small wrapped up pharos beard beneath the jaw and two large golden fangs. Khnurn smiled at the statue and said.
"The eternal prison of the beast but not for long." He pointed his hands towards it as magic crackled between his fingers like lightning before it blasted out at the statue that didn't even budge an inch making Khnurn growl. "I will not be denied my destiny!" He thrust his hands forward pouring out even more power towards the statue that began to rapidly shake as cracks formed around the body of the statue. "Yes, just a bit more." The statue then shattered before Khnurn lowered his arms to see a transparent cobra with scales that looked to be made of stars. "At long last, the Pharaohs serpent." He brought out the orb. "Now to take control of the beast." He held the orb out and the serpent was pulled into the orb making him smile until the orb began to shake rapidly making Khnurn stare in shock. "What the-"
The orb shattered throwing him back as the serpent hovered for a few seconds and then hissed aggressively at Khnurn before its body shattered into countless shards that resembled stars. These shards quickly shot into the walls of the cavern or shot down the tunnel with a few of them imbedding themselves into the walls of the tunnel. For a few seconds there was silence with no sound other than Khnurn's breathing and that is when something happened that showed Khnurn something was wrong. The entire place shook as the walls cracked before chunks of the walls fell to the ground revealing that they were sheets of rock that were coveringa wall that looked as if it were made of the night sky. Khnurn looked down at his hands as his hands slowly began to turn to dust that was being absorbed into the endless void that seemed to make up the wall. Realization quickly struck Khnurn before he said.
"This entire tomb is the inside of the Pharaohs serpents' body and I just released its soul." He lowered his hands while his body turned to dust as the full realization of what he'd done. "They were right, my thirst for power has become my demise and because of my mistake the entire world will suffer." He sighed and looked down at his body that was quickly disintegrating. "I just hope someone will be able to undo my mistake while I pay for my mistake in the underworld." As soon as the words left his mouth the remains of the body turned to dust and he was no more.
Outside
Tau stood at the pit that his master had disappeared into waiting for his return, but it was then the ground violently shook making him back away from the pit before the sound of people screaming from behind made him turn around. What he saw did not make him feel any better about the shaking as the sand began to twist like a whirlpool that was pulling the workers into it. Those who reached the bottom of it were pulled below the sand and although he didn't know what was happening to the men he was able to see one reaching the bottom but as his body sunk into the sand, he saw the figure hold out his arm that turned to dust. This shocked him but before he could react the area in which the sand was sinking into expanded so the people who'd backed away from the hole began to get pulled in. Tau immediately began to run as did many others but as they did the sinking area expanded and Tau was one of those who was pulled in and the last thing he heard was the roar of some giant creature and then he was no more as were all those in the area.
As the sands continued to shift with what roamed beneath it moving them, the citizens of Egypt continued to sleep soundly in their homes or go about their nightly duties not knowing that one of the greatest threats the world has ever known has been freed from its prison. This threat that could not only destroy all of Egypt but all the world and its inhabitants slowly made its way through the sands looking for its next meal.
AN: Hey guys sorry for the cliffhanger but if I went on not only would the chapter take another week to post but I'd have nothing for the following chapter. Anyway, I've moved the image of the ship I'm using onto my pinterest page so if you're having trouble picturing it just check it out there. Now to answer the question of lukec7585, no Hiccup will not be meeting any dragon humanoids as I just don't think they fit in with my future chapters. Anyway, I hope you all remember to review kindly and have a nice day.
