Chapter 280

Hiccups POV:

It's been two weeks since I got Astrid's Aunt Hagatha a job as a singer at the pub and since then I am happy to say that things have gotten back to normal or as normal as our lives could be. The kids continued with their various lessons, Hadasa continued to tend to the garden while practicing wielding a scimitar and using her plant pods, Astrid continued her own training while working with the Berk guard and Blanca spent most of her time looking after Xiu and helping train the snake guardians. As for me, I'd just do my own thing like taking care of the islands animals, riding Toothless, working in the forge, sending Arachne's thread to the Grown Hills tribe, working on my automaton designs and of course, chief training under my father.

Now I was in the room where I kept the various forms of art work with little Xiu in my arms and Zhang Yong at my side, keeping a close eye on Xiu who just gurgled as I showed her the art, but I knew she didn't understand what was happening. Still though, I felt that exposing my daughter to various cultures and arts when she was young would be good for her and help her develop as she grows up. I smiled down at the little treasure in my arms and gently rocked her as she giggled before my eyes were drawn to a familiar figure in a portrait, I'd requested a while back and couldn't help but feel my heart drop. The reason is that the figure in the portrait was none other than the fallen king of the destroyed kingdom of Camelot, King Arthur, a great leader, a great man and my friend who has been laid to rest. I sighed knowing that his death wasn't my fault which is something he told me himself when I met his spirit on my way to meet with the gods of his land but since then I haven't gone near Camelot. I don't know how long I stood there with my daughter in my arms but the more I stared, the more I desired to return to Camelot and see how things were going not only there but in the surrounding kingdoms which I never got the chance to see. I gazed at the portrait one last time and my mind was made up before I left the room while making plans in my head about what I'd need and when I'd leave.

1 week later

It's been a week since I decided to return to Camelot after so long and since and since then I've made plans, preparations and explained to my family that I wasn't going on vacation, but to heal a little from past wounds which my family understood after I told them about Arthur. Toothless and I arrived earlier this morning which brings us to now with me and Toothless standing in the runes of what was once Camelot's castle and standing in what used to be the round table room which was now stripped bare, roofless and only had the floor with weeds poking through the cracks and a few crumbling walls surrounding it. I looked around at this place with a sad smile, remembering the time I spent here discussing strategy with the knights for coming battles and occasionally just having a friendly chat from time to time. I sighed remembering those times as some of my happiest times here in this castle where I truly felt like they truly saw me as a knight instead of a foreigner who received the title which is what I felt like at times, but when I said goodbye to the knights after Arthur's passing, I knew my fears were all false. I felt Toothless nudge my side as he crooned, and I smiled before rubbing his head as I said.

"Don't worry bud, just remembering fond memories of events that aren't going to happen again in this room." He growled and nodded. "I miss those times to bud but all we can do now is look to the future and treasure the memories of our past." He tilted his head as I chuckled. "Come on, let's go fly a bit since it's a long way to any of the other kingdoms." He growled and nodded as I mounted him and we took off.

6 days later

It's been six days since I visited the ruins of what was once king Arthurs castle and since then not much has happened other than me and Toothless arriving in a kingdom known as Albion, three days ago and finding it ruled by a man named King Brahmwell who was a decedent of King Erik. Now King Erik was a man I'd read about in books and been told about by townspeople as he was well known in both Camelot and the other kingdoms since according to legend, he had a magic crown that he used to save the land, I read the story in a book I once bought from a merchant of Camelot and learnt about the legend a group of monks who wished to meet their god turned to dark magic to grow a way to the heavens and meet him.

The story goes that with seeds they pulled from a magical pod, the monks grew a pathway to seek out their God. When they came to what they thought was heaven's gate they met with a terrible, grisly fate for between heaven and earth was a perilous place known as Gantua. A home to a fierce giant race and with a bridge now before them to the world of men a plague of giants descends. Taking a cue from the richest of kings they acquired a taste for acquiring things, but the one taste that caused them to lose all control was a taste for mankind blood, bones and all. King Erik bade the monks return to dark arts to find some way to rule giant hearts, so they melted one down, mixed in magic and more and they crafted a crown unlike any before. As soon as the king took the crown in hand the giants were slaves to his every command, so he sent them back to the place of their birth with their home now a prison between heaven and earth. Erik severed the link between giants and men and peace returned to his kingdom again. The mystical relics were all that remained safe with Erik through the years that he reigned and when time came at last for King Erik to sleep, he took crown and seed with him for permanent keep. And as the king's bones slowly crumbled away truth became legend or so people say. And jealous eyes are looking down on peaceful fields in Albion, an enemy vows will come a day when giants return and giants stay to wage a war and this time win and to eat the last of Erik's kin.

It was a tale that was read to children and I believed it to be nothing more than a tale that was made up by adults who exaggerated things a bit to make the tale of king Erik more exciting. This is what I believed two days ago during a storm but now I fully believed it since yesterday, that all changed when me and Toothless were out flying and flew right past a giant beanstalk. I immediately took Toothless down so we could see if there was anyone who could explain what it was only to finds what looked like the remains of a house and an unconscious man who looked two or three years younger than me. Before we could wake him up though, a group of men on horseback rode in and surrounded us with bows aimed at all three of us as a warning while they ordered me to dismount Toothless who they referred to as my beast. We were forced to wait for half an hour which is when a large group of men arrived, being led by a man in golden armor, with a helmet that had a crown on it. Turns out this was King Brahmwell who came to investigate the giant beanstalk and had become curious when he found the bracelet of his daughter 'princess Isabelle' in the hands of the farm boy while also being curious to know who I was and what was Toothless.

Fortunately, one of the kings guardians who came with him was once a knight of Camelot and recognized us before he vouched for me and explained who I was which then lead to an explanation of what I was doing in his kingdom. After I explained how we were just visiting the unconscious guy came around and revealed himself to be Jack, who last night had offered the princess shelter from the rain before the beanstalk grew, taking his house and the princess with it to the top. When he heard this, King Brahmwell ordered his head knight Elmont to assemble a team of his finest men who could climb to form a rescue party. It was then the princess's betrothed, Lord Roderick volunteered him and his attendant Wickie to join the group with him claiming that he wanted to prove himself both to the king and princess. I didn't believe him though since I'd been around enough to know when someone had other reasons for what they were doing and when those reasons were going to mean trouble for others. I didn't voice my opinion though since I knew it wouldn't be believed since despite being a knight of Camelot, to them I was a stranger and they wouldn't believe me.

It was because of this that I volunteered to climb the beanstalk with them and although the former knight of Camelot vouched for me, the king was hesitant, but one of the men recommended taking Toothless to make sure I didn't betray them. I was hesitant to do so, but I let them take him while making it clear if any harm came to him then I would use all my power to destroy the entire kingdom and make sure King Brahmwell watched the entire thing. It was then the Elmont returned with a team which included his second in-command Crawe along with a small group, but I was able to convince them that just the five of us would be enough since if the legends about giants were true then it better to go with fewer men to give them a smaller target and make it easier for us to hide. Roderick surprisingly agreed before Jack volunteered to join us and although we were hesitant, a few words from Roderick convinced the king claiming we needed someone to help carry supplies which is when I brought my spiderpack out, shocking everyone but I was able to hold off on explaining by telling them that the princess may be in trouble. This got them all to back off with us being able to begin the climb while I was asked to explain my spiderpack to everyone and inform them of how I got it.

Now earlier today we were finally able to reach the top of the beanstalk after a full day of climbing and one evening sleeping in, but when we reached the top we found a floating island, Jacks house but the no princess Isabelle. It didn't take us long to find a marked tree which showed us that she'd gone off doing what Jack claimed was looking for adventure and after finding an incomplete mark we figured something happened to her. It was because of this we decided to split up into teams of two with the teams being Roderick and Wickie, Jack and Elmont while I went with Crawe, but I was able to slip a jewel wig onto each of the men without them noticing so I could keep an eye on them. This brings us to the present with me and Crawe walking through a clearing while listening out for anything odd before Crawe asked.

"So those spider ladies you used to make that weird satchel of yours, are there a lot of them in the land where you fought them." I shrugged.

"I honestly don't know since there are stories about them, but besides the two I faced I haven't seen them."

"Pretty strange creatures by the description you gave us."

"To be honest, I've faced stranger." He chuckled until he saw the look on my face.

"You're being serious?" I nodded. "When this is over, you'll have to tell me about these stranger things." I nodded.

"I will but I have to warn you, some of these things will give you nightmares since I've faced a lot of creatures in my time."

"I don't suppose giants are one of the creatures, are they?"

"Do six armed giants count." He stared at me in shock.

"We really have a lot to talk about." I nodded but it was at that moment I felt the ground shake a bit while hearing something big coming.

"Get your sword out, something's coming."

He nodded as I looked around for where the sound was coming as I released my prosthetics frills and began absorbing the sunlight before getting ready to release the beam. It was then a giant with a large dent in its head and wearing a tunic that looked to be made out of multiple animal skins that were stitched together walked out of the trees and spotted us. For a few seconds there was silence due to the shock before Crawe yelled at me to run and begun running away as the giant rushed at me but I stood my ground with my prosthetic at the ready since I wanted a clear and clean shot. He was only three steps away from me which is when I let out the blast hitting him dead center of his chest with the beam going right through him and coming out of his back. For a few seconds, there was silence as the giant fell to his knees with his torso soon following, leaving him lying dead on the ground as I looked down and knew things just got a lot harder. It was then Crawe rushed up and looked from the dead giant to me as he asked.

"What in the name of the lord was that?" I smiled.

"Just an attachment to the repairs made to an old battle wound."

"That's a pretty helpful thing for an old battle wound." I nodded.

"We'll talk more later since if there are giants around here, we better find the others and warn them."

"We'll need to be quick, but it won't be easy finding them." I smiled at him.

"Faster and easier than you think." He raised an eyebrow before I placed a hand on him and had my jewelwig crawl out onto it surprising him. "I placed these guys on everyone so I could make sure everyone was alright by using their eyes that are connected to my own."

"When this is over you have a lot of explaining to do." I nodded.

"I know but for now let's focus on finding our comrades." He nodded as I began looking through the eyes of the jewelwigs I had on them and my eyes widened, "This is not good!"

"What is it?"

"It looks like Elmont's been caught." Crawe gasped.

"Is he alright?"

"He's alive for now but we have to hurry."

"How'll we find him though?"

"Chances are the giant I just killed came from where they're taking Elmont so we can follow his scent trail."

"But we don't have any hunting dogs with us."

"Who said anything about dogs?" I released my kitsune mask making Crawe step back in shock. "Don't be surprised, nearly everything I'm wearing is either a weapon or a type of magic gear and with this mask, I can easily follow the giants scent." He smiled.

"Then what are we waiting for, let's go." I nodded and we took off with me leading the way.

Half-an-hour later

It's been half an hour since we began following the giants trail and since then we've found their base where there were multiple giants eating in what was their dining hall. It was because of their numbers that I pulled Crawe into my shadow since they'd have a harder time smelling just one human and I was better trained to remain hidden than him, but he wasn't happy about it. Among the giants I saw was their general who was easy to identify since he had two heads with one normal one which was obviously the one controlling the body and a smaller one that spoke in grunts and sounds. This brings us to now with me hiding in the rafters of their dining hall and watching the general bring in a cage with who I assume was princess Isabelle as he referred to her as the descendant of their jailer. It was then another giant walked in holding a hog-tied Elmont as he said.

"General!" As Isabelle cried.

"ELMONT!"

"Princess!" It was then the general said.

"What a delightful reunion." To which Elmont replied.

"I'm afraid we haven't met."

"How many are you?"

"I'm not talking!" The general picked him up and I quickly released my spirit bow and loaded three fire arrows to burn his arm if he tried anything

"How did you get here?" He then yelled. "WHERE IS THE WAY DOWN?"

"I'll die before I tell you!" I could tell the general was getting annoyed and raised his other hand to do something I didn't like and I got ready to let my arrows fly but it was then another giant rushed in and cried out.

"DEAD, CRUNCH IS DEAD!" All eyes were on him as the general lowered his hand.

"What do you mean he's dead?"

"He didn't come to the meeting spot where we go after a hunt so I went looking for him and found him lying dead on the ground with a small burning hole going through his heart." My suspicions that Crunch was the giant I killed were confirmed with this bit of information and I could hear the giants mutter about the death of their brother before the general looked back at Elmont.

"You brought someone who did this didn't you?" He raised him up to his face. "Who killed one of my brothers?" It was easy to tell he was angry but also that he was a little scared. "Tell us who it is or we eat her." It was then another giant stepped forward with a necklace that had giant horns on the end stepped forward.

"No General, I found her so the right to eat her is mine." The general hits him with a flails ball.

"I know the rules of the hunt Thumb, but she is different."

"A general abuse his power, you're not our king." It was easy to tell these two didn't see eye to eye on things as I lowered my bow before a familiar voice said.

"No, I believe that distinction belongs to me." I turned to see two giants walk before him.

"Fo, Fi?" The one I'm guessing was Fi answered.

"We had no choice General." Fo then said.

"He has the-" It was then Roderick stepped forward with a glowing crown on his head.

"Yes, the very crown that was forged from your dark hearts." All the giants kneeled, and I knew it was truly the crown of King Erik. "To deny the crown is to deny your own existence so on your knees." I watched in amazementas the general actually did as he was told with Roderick telling him to get lower until he could use him as a walkway onto the throne. "People of Gargantua-"Elmont cut him off.

"Well done Roderick now have them release us."

"Up, up up, I'm talking to giants at the moment," He turned to Isabelle. "and by the way darling, weddings off." He then turned back to the giants. "So, citizens of Gargantua, I bring you the gift of freedom, tonight we feast but tomorrow we return below with me as your new king." I didn't like the sound of it one bit. "First we shall take the kingdom of Floyster and then her neighbors and in time we shall test this Viking myth of an even greater land across the sea." My blood boiled at this as Isabelle asked.

"Roderick, are you mad?"

"Yes, it seems the power's gone directly to my head." He pointed to the crown when he said this as Elmont yelled.

"YOU TRAITOROUS BASTARD!" Roderick ignored him.

"As I was saying, gather your armor, sharpen your swords and prepare for battle, everyone we attack at dawn." The giants cheered at this but I growled and knew I had to stop him. "But first, General send out six of your finest hunters to capture the three remaining men wondering these woods and have someone have the two we currently have sent to the kitchen to be cooked." It was then I noticed something through the eyes of the jewelwig I had on Jcak and realized he was out of the hall and I quickly rushed to meet with him so we could come up with a rescue plan.

10 minutes later

I'd reunited with Jack and let Crawe out of my shadow before we were forced to hide from some giants who were leaving the hall and after counting them, it was easy to tell they were the ones sent to capture us by Roderick. The room we had wondered into turned out to be the treasury which reminded me of how my vault used to look before I made the rooms to sort the treasures into categories, with piles of gold and treasures everywhere we looked. It was at the back that Jack found an opening in the wall which was big enough for us to get through which brings us to now, with the three of us making it through the end of the opening.

We all looked around and found a place full of human sized cells built into the walls and pillars with a mist filled abyss surrounding the edges and human skeletons filling most cells. I walked over to one and kneeled down, spotting something in the hay and picked it up using my prosthetic only to find an old doll before I felt anger rise within me. The reason is this doll must have belonged to a little girl that the giants had kidnapped by the giants, proving my theory that this place was where the giants kept their human prisoners who had no hope of escape. Those giants were going to pay for this by being forced to remain prisoners on this floating island for the remainder of their days as I was not going to let them fill any of these cells ever again. It was easy to tell both Jack and Crawe felt the same way but we were all brough out of our examination by Isabelle' and Elmont's screams to be let go and we turned to see a thin giant carrying their cages on a path on the other side of the mist filled hole. We quickly gave chase to them hoping to save them from being turned into meals for the giants.

Getting to the kitchen fortunately didn't take long but sadly, neither did the cooks preparation to ready Elmont to be eaten in the form of turning him into a pastry known as a pig in a blanket. Now Crawe was helping Jack in trying to unlock the Princess' cage, I was busy cutting Elmont free from the doe that was now wrapped around him and two pigs. It was then I noticed the giant was about to turn around and quickly pulled out a gronkle iron dagger and passed it to Elmont through the opening I had cut in the side before ducking behind one of the giant containers alongside Jack and Crawe. We watched as the giant then impaled the pigs with sticks and did the same to Elmont, but the stick only landed between his legs meaning unlike the pigs, he was unharmed. The giant then picked up the tray and took it to the oven.

It was then I noticed Jack wasn't next to me anymore but instead, climbing up a rope to a rail where knives were being kept and I knew what he was thinking, and I smiled. It was then the giant took some long herbs and when we reached the rack, we watched in horror as he cut them up with speed and strength that sent them flying everywhere. He then turned to Isabelle and took her out of the cage while talking about a duchess he was brought once and how fat she was compared to Isabelle. While he did this, I kept an eye on Jack who pulled out one of the giants' knives as the giant told Isabelle.

"They told me you're a princess." He readied his knife. "Let's hope they haven't spoiled you rotten."

He raised the knife just as Jack jumped down with his body wrapped around the handle of the giant knife and the blade pointed down at the giants back, stabbing the blade right into it as we all watched. For a second there was silence until the giant let out a scream and began to stumble around with his arms waving, trying to grab the handle that Jack was holding onto. We watched as this happened before the giant accidentally slammed his back into the wall, stabbing the knife right into his heart before he fell to the ground dead. I smiled as Isabelle, Crawe and a now free Elmont rushed over to Jack as he climbed down from the dead giants back, but our joy was short lived as a voice from the door asked.

"Hey what's going on in there." Another giant with one eye bigger than the other and crudely made metal chest plate walked in and saw the dead cook along with the humans in front of it before he growled. "I'll kill you, you filthy creatures."

He charged at them as they tried to run but when he leaned down to grab them, I made my move and jumped at his back from my place on the table. As I did I released my chains to their full length and swung them at the side of the giants neck and smiled when the other end came around the other side. I quickly grabbed it and had it wrap around my wrist before I began pulling back, strangling the giant who stood back up and began to shake, while ordering me to get off. I knew if he kept shaking, I'd be thrown off so I released the legs of my spiderpack and slammed them into his back to get a grip and making him scream in pain as I lit my chains up with blue flames. The Giant let out a blood curdling scream as his skin turned to stone and kept shattering until he fell silent and dropped to the ground dead as everyone looked at me in shock. Before any of them could say a word though Crawe raised a hand to silence them and said.

"Don't ask, you won't get an answer till a later day and to be honest, I don't think this place is a good place to have an explanation." I nodded.

"Crawe is right, we need to get out of here before more giants show up." They each nodded before and idea struck me.

"Before we go there's something, I have to do that'll hopefully buy us some time." I pulled out two containers of boom beetles. "One moment please." I opened the containers and let the beetles fly out the door as everyone watched confused. "Don't let their size fool you, a single one of them could blow a large hole in a castle wall and now we have a distraction ready if we need it." They stared at me as if I were crazy and I sighed. "After seeing everything I can do, do you still think it's impossible." They all looked at me before nodding and with that we left.

1 hour later

It's been an hour since we rescued Isabelle and Elmont from the kitchen and since then we've been able to make it back to beanstalk where a giant was sleeping to guard it. Fortunately, Jack had the idea of putting a honeycomb that was covered in bees in his helmet and closing the mask to deal with it and we all got a good laugh when it woke up to the bees before it threw off its helmet. What got us all laughing though was how one bee came at his face and he stepped back to avoid it only to fall off the edge of the island and fall down it to what was his doom. I decided it best for me to stay behind and try to stall Rodericks army as long as I could while shortening his numbers a bit but I was surprised when Elmont claimed they'd stay behind to face Roderick while ordering Crawe to escort Jack and Isabelle down the beanstalk and make sure nothing happened to them. Before they left though I gave them some food for the trip down and left some with Elmont to enjoy while he waited and then Elmont gave Jack his badge that showed he was truly one of the kings guards and Crawe gave me his as Elmont told us that we were one of them now.

I smiled at them before I took off into the woods to deal with any giants that were wondering around it and with my plant prosthetic, finding them was easy and dealing with them was going to be a piece of cake since they split up to go out on their own. Of course, there were a few more than before now since the bodies in the kitchen had been found which angered more than a few giants who went to look for us which is when I set of the boom beetles gaining a lot of attention. I did however set off a few in the cells when the giants were passing, scaring them and throwing them to the side with a few of them falling into the mist filled hole to their doom.

Now though, I was in the forest on a tree branch with my dragon pipe in my mouth as I quietly puffed it as a single giant charged at me before I took the pipe out of my mouth and when he was three feet away from me, I blew out a stream of flames, right into his face. I smiled as the giant screamed and I took out five clear Loki balls that were filled with my acidic gas and threw them right into his mouth that was wide open. For a few seconds he coughed and then dropped onto his hands and knees as he spat out blood and then fell to the ground dead with his head down in the mud. I didn't stop to admire my kill though as there were more giant in the forest and some of them were getting close to the beanstalk and Elmont. Finding another one didn't take too much time, nor did killing him since I just used ten of my silver Loki balls to trip him and then use my Onikuma Wakizashi to have earth spikes burst from the ground beneath him. After that I went on to the next one who looked to be on his way to the beanstalk and I was not going to let him near Elmont but I had the feeling that I was going to hunting all night.

Next day

Nobodies POV:

Morning had come and with it came the march of Roderick's army of giants towards the edge of their island where Roderick would sow the magic beans and grow for the giants a way down to the land of mortal men and rage a war against the kingdoms until he ruled all. Before he could sow the beans though, Elmont had tackled him into one of the giant stone heads that made a waterfall and they began their fight while the giants tried to dig a hole through the top to get Roderick out. Now however, Roderick was standing over Elmont who was holding onto the ledge for dear life to avoid falling to his doom as Roderick looked down at him and asked.

"You thought you were the hero of this story?" He stabbed Elmont's left hand making him let go and hold onto the ledge with just his right hand. "Don't you know we all think that?" What neither them or the giants had noticed though was Hiccup rushing through the legs of the giants using his ox flame boots speed to enter through the same way the two men had and just as Roderick raised his dagger to end Elmont, Hiccup grabbed his wrist and said.

"It's true but at least he's not fighting alone." Hiccup squeezed Roderick's wrist, breaking it as he screamed and dropped the knife allowing Elmont to grab it as he said.

"And at least I'll be able to see how it ends."

He then stabbed the dagger right into Rodericks gut before Hiccup tossed him back as he cried for the giants to come help him and crawling away while Hiccup helped Elmont back up. As soon as Elmont was back on solid ground though, the giants broke through and the two men could only watch as the general grabbed Rodericks body and pulled it up through the hole. Hiccup and Elmont watched as he pulled the crown of Roderick's dead body and then put it on his left hands middle and index finger as a ring before raising it up for all the giants to see as one yelled.

"ALL HAIL KING FALLON!" Seeing this Hiccup said.

"Well things just got a whole lot worse." Elmont nodded before they both noticed the beanstalk had begun falling and all Hiccup could say was.

"GRAB ON!" Edmond nodded before they both ran and jumped towards the beanstalk, but while Edmond was able to grab onto the stalk and he fell as Edmond cried out.

"HICCUP!"

Hiccup on the other hand, remained calm and switched out his regular left arm for his prosthetic and shot out the spike at the beanstalk with the spike hitting its target and going right through it. Hiccup quickly reeled himself in and latched onto the beanstalk while pulling his spike back and kept an eye on where they were falling before, he saw they were making their way right to the castle. When they were right above the moat, both he and Elmont jumped off the beanstalk and into the water while Jacks house that was on top of the bean stalk smashed and shattered into the castle. Hiccup and Elmont broke the water's surface and looked around before turning to each other before Elmont said.

"This is an adventure I shall remember for the rest of my life as the strangest and most dangerous one I have ever been on." Hiccup shrugged.

"To be honest with you, this adventure doesn't even break my top ten in either category." Elmont raised an eyebrow.

"Hiccup, once all this is sorted, we really need to have a long talk about the kind of life you live." Hiccup nodded.

"We will but for now, I've got to go get my dragon and let the king know what happened." He nodded.

"Please inform him that I am here at the castle if he has any doubts about what you've said and will give a full report." Hiccup nodded.

"I just hope Jack, Isabelle and Craws made it down in time." He nodded before they both swam to shore and while Elmont went to check the damage done to the castle, Hiccup pulled out his kappa shell helmet and hopped on it before he took off to meet with the king and get Toothless back.

Half-an-hour later

It's been half an hour since the bean stalk came down and since then, Princess Isabelle had reunited with her father who was horrified by Roderick's betrayal and had thanked Jack for bringing his daughter down. As a king he rewarded Jack with a large bag of gold for bringing his heir back safely but told him that as a father he would never be able to reward him enough for bringing his daughter back to him. Shortly after that, Hiccup arrived and informed them of Roderick's death and how the giants are now in possession of the crown but it'd do them no good since they were imprisoned on their own island again. After that, King Brahmwell apologized for being suspicious of Hiccup and allowed him to have Toothless back while giving him his seal which would show everyone that he was under the king's protection and offered a room at the castle. Hiccup turned it down though, claiming he and Toothless wanted to continue exploring the kingdoms countryside where they'd be able to enjoy the peace that they wouldn't have at the castle which would be enduring a lot of repairs with the beanstalk and house landing on it. After that, both he and his daughter along with their guard began the long ride back to the castle, leaving Hiccup and Toothless alone with Jack among the various abandoned stalls or what was left of them.

This brings us to now with Hiccup watching Jack reunite with a horse he once sold to a monk in order to buy thatch to repair his houses roof, but instead of money, was given the magic beans which started this whole mess. Hiccup smiled and walked up to him and said.

"You fell for the princess, didn't you?" He looked up at him and Hiccup could tell he was about to deny it so he raised a hand. "Don't bother denying it, I've seen the look of longing enough times and I've actually been one of those giving those looks so don't deny it." He sighed.

"Last night as we came down the beanstalk, we shared a moment and shared a kiss while Crawe slept." He then smiled. "And we did enjoy a bit of a laugh when we were forced to swing down on a vine, hit a hay bale and nearly got killed by a blade on a plough." Hiccup chuckled.

"Well remember that at the end of the day, if love is real, it'll find a way."

"Sweet words Hiccup, but do you think they are true." Hiccup looked at him.

"Jack, one of the women I love was turned into a flower and I am now lucky to call my wife after she was able to return to human form." He raised an eyebrow but Hiccup just chuckled. "Trust me, weirder things have happened to me in my life."

"Well now you can add defeating giants to that list."

"Actually, it was already on the list but those were six armed ones from my time with the Argonauts." He raised an eyebrow. "Let's just say my time in the land of Greece is rarely ever normal." He then chuckled. "Still though, taking those giants weren't as fun to deal with as the ones up on that floating island." Hiccup then looked to the sky. "I'd love to see the look on the generals face now since he has the crown but up there, it won't do him any good." Jack raised an eyebrow.

"Don't you still have those weird metal birds that allow you to see through their eyes?" Hiccup looked at Jack and smiled.

"I forgot about those, thanks Jack." He smiled.

"Just let me know what their faces look like." Hiccup nodded before focusing on seeing through the eyes of his automatons but the second he saw through the eyes of the automatons that he left near the edge where the beanstalk was, all color drained from his face and he turned to Jack.

"Jack, I want you to get on that horse and run as fast as you can to the castle." Jack could tell something was wrong by the tone of Hiccups voice.

"What's going on?" Hiccup walked towards Toothless.

"The giants had the seeds and have sown them, meaning they've just grown five beanstalks that are growing downwards as we speak with the giants coming down with them." Hiccup turned to Jack. "You need to warn the king so they can prepare for the coming invasion." He nodded and mounted the horse.

"What are you going to do though?"

"I'm going to bring their numbers down a bit and buy you as much time as I can."

With that said Jack took off towards the castle while Hiccup pressed his prosthetic hand to the ground and summoned his Horus soldiers before informing them of what was happening and what to do. Once they knew what to do, Hiccup took off into the air with Toothless who had already gotten his alpha glow on and his soldiers of Horus following behind with their bows ready. The plan was to force as many giants to let go of the beanstalks and plummet to their doom instead of trying to kill them themselves since it would take more time and the faster, they went down the better since it meant less giants to fight against to defend the castle.

10 minutes later

It's been ten minutes since Hiccup began his attack on the giants who were coming down to earth using the beanstalks and since then he and Toothless had been able to narrow their numbers down a little. They did this by forcing the giants to let go of the beanstalk in various ways such as the soldiers of Horus, pummeling them with arrows, Toothless shooting their arms with his plasma blasts and Hiccup hitting them with whatever he could like arrows, Loki balls and throwing his axe. With these attacks they were able to kill a few giants but the giants fought back by throwing their weapons, boulders and Thumb even used a slingshot with a skeleton stuck to it to quickly launch stones slightly larger than Hiccups head. It was because of this Hiccup lost a few of his Horus soldiers but he was still able to deal a bit of damage to the giants and the way he saw it, the less giants there were, the less people would be killed and the easier it would be to defend the castle.

While Hiccup and his forces had been doing this though, the king and his men had been warned about the giants by Jack before they had rushed back to the castle to begin making their own preparations for the coming attack. They'd done so by lighting the moat up by filling it with oil and launching fire arrows into it and had begun raising the drawbridge which is when Hiccup and Toothless arrived at the castle's courtyard. When they landed though, the giants broke through the forest, charging across the field towards the castle and fast with the general at the lead. The drawbridge had yet to be fully raised when the giants had reached the castle allowing the general the opportunity to grab onto the edge and try to climb over it while pulling it down. Fortunately, Elmont and a few archers were able to make him let go with a few arrows to the face, making him fall into the burning moat below as his brothers watched.

After that a bell was thrown over the wall, destroying the statue of King Erik, followed by the giant throwing grappling hooks onto the top of the drawbridge before they began pulling it down as Elmont went to help the men keep the bridge up. While this happened, the king ordered Isabelle and Jack to go through a secret passageway to the top of a tower to light a beacon in order to warn the other kingdoms. Jack and Isabelle ran to do so and turned to Hiccup and asked if he knew of any weaknesses that they could use against the giants but Hiccup shook his head claiming he knew of none but had an idea to cut a few down to size. When he said this, the men brought ballistae with giant rope arrows in and shot them into the bridge before taking them away while men began pulling on the ropes to keep the bridge up and the giants out.

Presently though, the giants were tossing trees and large parts of the beanstalk that they'd lit using the burning moat which was making things harder for the men inside who were still trying to keep the drawbridge up. While the men did this, Hiccup and Toothless were up on the wall with Hiccup holding his bow in hand and loading up void arrows that he was launching at the trees and beanstalk pieces, forming giant black orbs around them and destroying them. Toothless on the other hand was busy launching plasma blasts at the trees, shattering them and keeping them from harming the men in the courtyard. It was then that the soldiers were ready to fight back using rapid ballistae with wooden lion heads, killing a few giants, including some of those that were pulling the ropes. Sadly, these victories didn't last long as Thumb, used his slingshot to take one of them out while another giant threw a hammer to take out the other with each either injuring or killing the men manning them. Hiccup looked at Thumb and knew he had taken up the place of the general and growled.

"You want to kill a snake, you cut off its head!" He pulled out one of the few arrows that he'd brought with him that had been dipped in hydras blood. "I should've brought more of these hydra's blood arrows." He took aim at Thumb. "Still though, one should be enough."

He took aim at Thumb and let the arrow fly but Thumb chose that moment to kneel down in order to get one of the giants pulling the ropes back up after he tripped. This caused the arrow to miss and hit another giant who was pulling the rope in the arm and Hiccup watched as the giant screamed in pain while the skin around the arrow darkened along with his veins before he dropped to the ground, dead. This unfortunately got Thumbs attention and he turned to Hiccup, glaring at him before readying his slingshot but before he could fire, Hiccup jumped down from the wall just before the men who were holding the ropes were dragged across the ground as the drawbridge was lowered. Hiccup growled and knew they'd need more help defending the castle so he turned to the men and yelled out.

"EVERYONE FALL BACK TO THE CASTLE AND READY YOUR WEAPONS!" The men were quick to do so, allowing Hiccup to his prosthetic against the floor and summoned his Anubis, Sobek and Seth warriors, scaring more than a few of the men with many screaming but Hiccup ignored them. "ALL SETH WARRIORS FORM AROUND THE MEN FOR THEIR PROTECTION AND ALL ANUBIS AND SOBEK WARRIORS GET READY TO KILL WHATEVER COMES THROUGH THAT GATE!"

The Jackal, donkey and crocodile headed warriors ran to get into formation with the Seth warriors surrounding the men, raising their shields while the Sobek warriors readied their clubs with Hiccup standing at the front. While they did this, Elmont, Crawe and the king got the men ready as the gate closed but everyone knew it wasn't going to do much before Elmont and the king walked up to Hiccups sides with their weapons ready. Hiccup smiled and nodded to their bravery as Toothless came to land behind them but it was then the giant made their way across the bridge with Thumb leading the way and smashing the gates open with a giant bludgeon. The gates didn't survive two strikes before they were thrown to the ground and the giant entered with the men and warriors readying their weapons, Toothless growling and readying a blast while Hiccup unfolded his eagle shield and released his star sword. The giants slowly filled half the courtyard as Thumb asked.

"Do you smell that brothers?" He stepped in front of the others. "Don't you love it when their blood curdles?" Elmont glared at them.

"Let's cut a few of them down to size!"

Hiccup smiled but before he could say or do anything, the sound of stones breaking and building collapsing sounded behind them and he turned to see a beanstalk growing out of the castle. It was then then the giants groaned drawing attention back to them as they all dropped their weapons and fell to their knees before Hiccup turned to Elmont and asked.

"Why do I get the feeling there's something behind us?"

Both Hiccup and Elmont along with everyone else and saw Jack holding the crown of King Erik's magic crown up high before placing it on his own head as the men parted for him to come forward with Princess Isabela at his side and the commoners following him. Hiccup smiled knowing this battle and war was won but there was a lot of repairs to be made and much work to do, starting with sending the giants back from whence they came. It was then a thought struck him and he smiled, knowing a way to help solve a lot of problems while also giving the giants extra punishment for what they'd done but for now, he decided to let Jack enjoy his time in the light of glory.

2 weeks later

Hiccups POV:

It's been two weeks since the final battle against the giants and since then, things have been busy for everyone including me since we had a lot of repairs to make to the palace and the buildings where the giants charged. First thing that was done though was Jack ordered the giants to return to their home and I offered to go with them, taking the crown with me to ensure they did what needed to be done. It was easy to tell that the king was hesitant but both Jack and Elmont vouched for me, before I was given the crown and lead the giants back up the beanstalks to their home with Toothless since he would be my way down. As soon as we got to the top, I had the giants use their swords to cut down the beanstalks and watch their only way down, disappear before I had them take me to their treasury. As soon as we were there, I had them load every last treasure into giant leather bags they had and then had them place said bags into my spiderpack since these treasures were stolen by them. After that, I had them gather the bones of every human victim into a large pile before I lit them up, turning the bones to ash while offering a prayer to the people.

Once that was done me and Toothless flew back down to the ground and returned to the castle where I offered all the treasures to the king to pay for all the repairs. He originally turned me down but I was able to convince him to take it after reminding him that some of the treasure originally belonged to his kingdom and was stolen from the giants when they first came down from their home. He may have taken most of it but he did insist I keep a part of it since I helped protect the castle, save his daughter and brought the treasure back to them. Among the items I kept though was the golden harp since in addition to being an instrument that could make beautiful music, it was also fine piece of art work and would look good in my art gallery plus one of my wives or kids might want to learn how to play it.

Aside from that, I had been helping with the castle's reconstruction during the day but during the evening, Elmont, Jack, Crawe, Princess Isabella and the king had me start explaining everything, from Toothless to the forces I summoned. I had to spend hours explaining things to them before they would allow Toothless and I to go to bed and get some sleep so all in all things were busy and I wasn't allowed much time to rest. Still though, during that time I was able to gather information on the surrounding kingdoms, including a land a few weeks away by horseback. I intended to go and check this place out once everything's settled down but for now though, I needed to help undo the damage done to the kingdom to not only help the people but give Jack and the princess more time together as they'd begun courting. This was possible after out the king found out that they were in love and Jack killed the General who had made it into the castle from below and was killed by Jack after he dropped the one magic seed he had down the Generals throat.

AN: And that brings an end to this chapter and right now some of you are wondering why it took so long for me to write this and rest assured there is a good reason. I'm on holiday in Cyprus with the folks so little writing time and in addition to this, I've been down since three days ago, my grandmother passed away so I've been mourning her. Anyway, this chapter's a crossover with 'Jack the Giant Slayer' so if you want a clearer idea of things than watch the film if you haven't seen it and since I don't really like writing these crossovers, I skipped a few scenes. Next chapter though shall be taking us to Russia where things will be a little more original so please wait and enjoy the chapters that are available and remember to review.
