Chapter 298

Hiccups POV:

Three weeks since I took down the siren sisters, three long weeks since I took the fort and captured the forces with in and three long weeks since I last had any peace. The reason for this is first I had to catch Leander and his men up on what had been happening and finding out how they fell under the sirens control in the first place. Turns out they were sent to attack a bandit base and rescued who they thought were three kidnapped women who turned out to be the sirens and soon after that they fell victim to the sirens songs who slowly manipulated them. Three months ago, is when they were exiled thanks to the sirens and during that time it was all a complete blank for them, so I had to tell them all they'd done and all that had happened before stopping Leander from killing himself for betraying Greece. I had to spend three hours comforting him and reminding him that none of this was his fault and I'd be there to help explain things to those he served, and it would help gain a little bit of his reputation if he and his men helped hand over all the bandits that were brought into the sirens army and there were a lot of them who were wanted all over Greece. Along with that, there were the various treasures and artifacts that we found were from temples that would want them back and returning them would also help him regain the respect of the people.

We spent a day separating the bandits and pirates from the soldiers and travelers which took a while as some bandits tried to pose as travelers. Then we spent another day going through the various treasures we found and had put them in different piles like drachmas, statues, paintings, artifacts, etc. Once that was all done, I released the ships I captured during the attack and we took off for Greece to hand over the bandits, pirates, return the treasures to their rightful owners and explain to the nobles and leaders about how the sirens were the ones responsible for Leander and his men turning traitor. Handing the bandits and pirates over was easy enough and arranging to have the artifacts and treasures stolen from temples to be returned to them by the priests.

The difficult part was convincing the nobles and royals that Leander his men were truly nothing more than a puppet who was being controlled by the true villains, the sirens. I spent a full week giving evidence and convincing everyone that Leander and his men were not traitors, at least not traitors of their own free will. Dealing with this took four straight weeks of none stop work in helping Leander clear his name to the citizens and others and get him his position as general back. After that it was another three weeks which were spent dealing with the nobles and royals, giving me rewards for saving them from the Sirens plans and bringing in the various pirates and bandits that had been terrorizing Greece for years. I made a fortune in rewards of gold and jewels while also being allowed to keep their ships as trophies but then came the headache of people trying to get close to me so they could use me and since I had to attend the celebrations, I couldn't avoid them. The only comfort I got was that I was able to spare my family members from this torture and furthermore, nobody asked me how I found out about Leander so none of them found out about Daedalus and Icarus meaning they were safe for now since there were people who would love to use them.

Now after another long day of dealing with nobles, royals and so much more I was finally able to walk into the home on the small island off the coast of Athens that was given to me by the gods which is where me, Toothless, Daedalus and Icarus were staying for now. I pushed the door to my room and smiled as I let out a sigh of relief finally being able to end another day of dealing with nobles and royals trying to get me to help their causes, marry their daughters or get their wives pregnant with my child. Now though, I'd just gotten back from an evening flight with Toothless and was ready to go to bed and get some sleep so I could be ready to face the challenges of tomorrow. I looked out the window at the view of the ocean and Athens while letting out a sigh until a voice from behind me said.

"It is quite a nice view." I immediately turned around while releasing my punch dagger and pointing it at the one who spoke until I saw who it was making me pull the dagger back and bow, as the one behind me was none other than lord Hermes.

"It's good to see you again Lord Hermes but I don't think I've done anything to deserve a visit from one of the gods." He chuckled as I stood up straight.

"Hiccup, you just took down one of the biggest threats created by Cronos that we've been searching for, rescued one of our lands most trusted mortal protectors, captured those who have defiled and robbed our temples and spent so much time repairing the damage done by those sirens." He smiled.

"Yeah, but it doesn't compare to all the other things I've done." He chuckled.

"You have no idea how many lives you've saved or how much what you've done means to all of Greece and the world." I raised an eyebrow before he walked up to me. "Let me show you what you've stopped."

He pressed his finger against my head and then there was a bright flash before I found myself standing on the second floor of what used to be a house in Athens. The roof had been completely destroyed while the walls were crumbling which gave me the perfect view of all of Athens in flames, with Leander and his men leading the charge. What scared me the most was that Cronos was in the middle of the city on a giant throne, laughing in amusement as the people were torn apart by various beasts or killed by the men while the sirens watched from above in their harpy like forms. Before I could do anything, there was another flash and I was back in my room with Hermes who was pulling his finger away which I could now see had a thread wrapped around it. He smiled at me and said.

"A thread from the sisters of Fate." I raised an eyebrow. "We figured you wouldn't believe us, so Zeus had the fates weave the thread to show you what an impact you've had on the future of all of Greece and the world." I nodded.

"I now understand Lord Hermes."

He smiled and placed a hand on my shoulder before there was a bright flash and I found myself standing outside the palace of the Greek gods, in front of the entrance that led to where I would meet them. I took a breath to calm my nerves before making my way down the white marble hall until I was in the middle of the large room where all the gods were sitting. I got down on my knees and bowed to them while saying.

"I am honored to be in your presence once more noble Gods of Greece." Zeus raised his hand.

"Rise Hiccup Haddock, after all you've done for us you have more than earned the right to stand in our presence once again." I stood up straight making him smile. "Now I believe it best we skip the formalities this time and simply give you your rewards for stopping the sirens and saving Greece once more while also returning one of our greatest mortal defenders to his proper place and stopping the return of Cronos." He stood up. "Hiccup for your services to us we present you these gifts." The goddess Aphrodite stood up and floated a box to my hands and said.

"Hiccup, in that box you will find the pick and hammer that the artist Pygmalion used to create Galatea, but now I've infused them with power that has granted it abilities that I hope will serve you well." I nodded in thanks while thinking of the old legend ofPygmalion who was said to have carved a statue so beautiful that he fell in love with it and Aphrodite brought it to life as an answer to his prayers. (AN: It's a pretty good story, look it up when you get the chance.) It was then Helios raised his hand and floated a leather slingshot to me that had a leather patch that was made of brown leather with a golden colored sun on it while the strings felt strong.

"That sling shot may not look like much Hiccup, but it does have its own magic imbued into it making it a lot more powerful than a regular slingshot and helpful in attacking enemy fortresses." I nodded to him in thanks wondering what it could do but I knew that it would need to be used to understand its power. (AN: image on pinterest page) Then the god Hades stood up and floated an orange spear head with chains connected to the bottom, to me that I took in my hand before it floated into the eye of the dragon.

"What I just gave your eye is a new ability that shall grant it new abilities but what they are is something you shall have to discover yourself." I nodded in thanks and understanding beforethe god Hephaestus stood up and said.

"Hiccup, I've snuck onto your island a couple of times and seen your automatons and I have to say they're impressive." I smiled in thanks until he said. "But they lack any true emotion, meaning they're just puppets right now with no soul." I nodded.

"What can I say, my forging skills are good but they're nothing compared to those of a god."

"True but the main reason is you lack the proper materials to give them true life." He pulled out what looked to be a ruby wrapped in strips of gold and a crystal chunk with gold at the bottom but once they floated up to me, I saw the ruby was shaped like a heart while the crystal was made of pure diamond and shaped like a brain. "What you have there is a heart stone that holds a soul and mind stone that holds a mind, both made by me and designed to be loyal to your family and of course you and I made it so they're similar to the ones I've given my golden maidens and other automatons, except Telos." I nodded. "As for the body of the automaton, that's something you'll have to make yourself, maybe ask that inventor friend of yours to help since he's brilliant even by my standards." He then pulled out a small bag. "This may help you though since I know what you're probably planning to make." The bag floated tome asI smiled and nodded before Zeus said.

"Speaking of the mortal Daedalus, we thank you for saving him and his son as his discoveries and knowledge must never fall into the wrong hands and to ensure that, we grant you this." He tossed me a small navy-blue crystal with a large shard sticking out. "That is a new piece for your island where they may make their home if they so choose and where they shall be able to live in peace under your protection." I smiled and bowed.

"Thank you, lord Zeus." He smiled.

"You are most welcome young Hiccup and while we have you here, you should know we have also been keeping a close eye on your family, particularly your three adopted children." I raised an eyebrow. "We were impressed with how far they've each come after facing such tragedies and thanks to the fates we know they will grow to continue to help this world similar to the ways you have but nothing as big." I let out an internal sigh of relief not wanting my own kids to go up against the enemies I've faced. "Still though, none of it could have been easy for them so as a reward we will grant each of them one item to aid in the battles that are to come." It was then the goddess Despina raised her hand and a small palm sized box floated out of it.

"For your son Egil." I nodded in thanks as the goddess Selene allowed another box to float to me.

"For your daughter Chara." I nodded in thanks as Aries floated a box to me.

"For your son Brant." I nodded in thanks as the goddess Iris floated another box to me.

"That one is just for your infant daughters." I smiled at her in thanks before Zeus said.

"And now it is with these gifts, that we send you home." There was a bright flash and I was back in my room with the gifts I was given and sighed knowing these next few days were going to be busy.

4 weeks later

It's been four weeks since I got back from Greece, bringing with me Daedalus and Icarus along with a new piece for my island that would become their home and the other gifts I'd been given by the gods and to describe those days in a single word, it would be busy. The reasons I've been busy is I've been helping my kids master their own gifts from the gods, figuring out what my own gifts could do and to top it all off, adding the sirens skulls and pendants to my trophy room and helping Daedalus and Icarus make their new place a home. This last bit was the toughest architectural projects I've ever taken on though, even with the help of my dragons and Daedalus who designed his new home and it took two weeks to prepare the materials along and another four weeks to complete his home. It was all worth it though, there was no chance of him and Icarus ever being in danger due to invaders and if anyone did try to get into their home, I'd greatly pity them.

The island piece I'd been given to make their home was a just a small island that had a few beaches surrounding a giant mountain the size of a bewilderbeasts body and it took up the majority of the island other than the beaches lining it. It was in this mountain that we made their home which wasn't difficult since the majority of the mountain was surprisingly hollow so we could work on turning the inside into their lair. To do this Daedalus took the designs for his labyrinth back from me and we made some alterations together before we really got to work on things. we started out by having my whispering deaths hollow it out a bit more taking large chunks and turning them into bricks to prepare for the work ahead. After that we got to work, turning the insides of the now hollow mountain into a full-blown labyrinth that made it near impossible to tell which way someone was going, or which way was out. Along with this, it was during the construction that I learnt why the Sirens voices had no effect on them, the reason is they were both completely tone deaf to the point that Gobber's singing sounded like a siren song to them.

Anyway, in the center of this labyrinth, built so it looked like just another part of the labyrinth was the large room that Daedalus turned into his workshop and home for both him and his son. Right now, though it was just a room with a large chalkboard for a wall, a couple of tall bookshelves, some baskets, a few secret doors, some desks three separate rooms. These rooms were the bathroom that had a steaming natural hot spring that we found while digging with some shelves dug into the wall to hold their towels and clothes. The other room was their bed chamber with their beds being dug into the left and right wall, lined with alpaca fur blankets and pillows to make things more comfortable for them. The final room though was a forge with everything a blacksmith could possibly need including a forge, anvil, tools and multiple other things. As for the designs of the labyrinth, Daedalus had spent a lot of time altering the designs to make it more complicated and harder to find your way around it with it being able to change and shift its paths and halls with walls closing and secret slopes to drop.

This would all be controlled by Daedalus and Icarus, using the model of the labyrinth in the center of Daedalus' workshop since all they have to do is move a passage on the model and the labyrinth would change to match it. As for how I could find his workshop, there was a secret entrance to the labyrinth on the opposite side of the mountain where the main entrance was and this entrance could only be opened by my prosthetics stone of good fortune like with my weapons vault. Behind this entrance was a long hallway followed by a wide and long staircase which lead to a dead end which had a single stone that had to be pushed in and once pushed in, ten bricks stick out and they have to be pulled in the right order. Once pulled out correctly, the wall splits apart to reveal the entrance to Daedalus' workshop but if you got it wrong than the floor beneath you would fall to form a slope right into the labyrinth.

This secret entrance was also how I delivered supplies to the two, using a secret opening in the wall at the top of the stairs which had a small slope that lead to the workshop and multiple carts of different design depending on what they were taking down. The way it works is I'd pull the type of cart I'd need for what I was sending down, load it up and then send it down slope to Daedalus' workshop and once done, a pully system would bring it back up once it was emptied. I had to admit, this entire labyrinth was a brilliant design by Daedalus and I now had a better understanding of why the gods felt he should be protected since I'd rather not think about what would happen if he was forced to build weapons.

As for Daedalus and Icarus themselves, they had settled in well to their new lives and often came out to socialize with the other island inhabitants although they were both shocked and scared of them at first which was understandable. Most of time though, Daedalus would remain in his workshop, designing new things and inventions to help make life easier for everyone and Icarus would often test them. When he wasn't helping his father though he was outside enjoying the sun and socializing with the other inhabitants of the island alongside his father which is how they'd each befriended a terrible terror with Daedalus' terror being blue and Icarus' being green. Daedalus had named his terror Bronte and he'd often keep him company in the workshop while Icarus named his Xylo and would often be seen on his shoulder. Then comes the boxes I'd been given by the gods for my kids and after they opened them up, we were all surprised by the items within them, even more so by what we found they could do.

Brant's box for starters contained a bronze bracer with a small flowing indent going down it and a seed shaped ruby inside it and when we saw what it was I looked up to the sky and thanked Aries since his gift helped calm my nerves a bit. The bracer could release a small transparent dipylon shield that could take a strike from a charging gronkle and Brant would barely feel it while also barely being pushed back. In addition to this he could easily wield his spear from behind it, using the gaps in the shields sides so he could still launch the ends while hiding behind his shield keeping him safe. In addition to all this he could make it grow to the size of my father and fold back at the top a little forming a protective shield around him while also being able to shove his spear through. (AN: image on pinterest page)

Chara's box on the other handheld two rings which wrapped around the full finger with black silk that weaved around them in a way to show the moon cycles with the full moons being pearl like gems. Now these rings didn't do much at first other than look good with her outfit but then we saw what they could truly do, and we were all impressed and with the exception of Chara, we were also temporary blinded. The reason for this is these jewels would let out bright flashes that would have no trouble temporarily blinding the victims which would give Chara the chance to either hide or take out her opponents. They could also just shine a small light from them to act as focused torches to make searching for hidden things a little easier for her when she was in darkness. (AN: image on pinterest page)

Egil's box held two silver bracelets that fit perfectly around his wrists like a glove, but it was when he got ready for a fight that their true power was revealed. His hands were entirely covered in blue ice that was surprisingly flexible and acted like gloves that kept his hands from feeling cold but there was a little more to it than just being a cold pair of gloves. After a few tests we learnt that they were similar to my ice claws except while mine were claws his were gauntlets with a very cold strike that could freeze the punched part in under a second. Along with this whatever he touched froze completely, including people but they didn't die, they were just trapped in ice and needed to be thawed out or wait for the ice to shatter in an hour. (AN: image on pinterest page)

Finally, Xiu and Zephyrs box contained a thick golden disk that was a little thicker than my fist, was stood up on four legs and had a diamond in the middle of the top. At first I didn't understand what it was for until I pressed down on the diamond and the middle split open, lifting the top up which released a gentle music while the diamond projected rainbows in the shapes of animals that slowly spun around the room. This made my daughters giggle while reaching out for the projections until the music lulled them into a gentle sleep which was perfect as it was their nap time.

Then there's the gifts I received from the gods myself and I had to say not a single one of them was disappointing in the least with their abilities. To begin with there's the hammer and chisel which I knew would be helpful in not only battles, spying but also in just enhancing the beauty of my island. The reason for this is all I had to do was strike a boulder with image of the person who I wanted the statue to look like and then slam the hammer down on the pick, that's resting pressed against the boulder and the boulder would shatter leaving a statue of the person standing there. The thing about these statues though is they could actually look and speak like the person, but they'd be nothing more than puppets under my control and they'd either turn to stone statue form after three hours leaving nothing more than a nice statue or shatter leaving only a small pile of rubble where they once were. If I didn't want a spy than I could just make a stone warrior to attack my enemies or simply a normal statue, the majority of those that I'd already made in the form of Greek soldiers had gone to the Labyrinth to help confuse intruders since they were stuck everywhere including on the walls.

Then there's the slingshot I got from Helios and I was not the least disappointed with what it could do although my dad wasn't too happy with how the test trials went. The way it goes is I'd load a fist sized rock into the sling and then spin the sling around like any other slingshot but the rock would then ignite and be covered in flames and then I'd launch it and a few seconds after being launched it would go from being a rock to a flaming boulder the size of a curled up catastrophic quaken. Now this would be perfect for attacking enemy bases and ships since it was more portable than a catapult and a little more powerful which is why I got a little carried away at first, targeting small rowboats. Unfortunately, this led to the anger of my father since my hand slipped on one toss and I ended up hitting the side of a fishing boat he was expecting sinking it with him on it. After that I had to explain what happened, retrieve the ship from the bottom of the ocean and repair it, all while listening to my father yell at me about how I need to be more careful with these things.

There's also the ability given to my eye I got from Hades which was nothing to laugh at since it was incredible, powerful and was going to be one of my deadliest abilities. The reason is I could now create five discs of orange flame that float over my head and around my body and what comes out of them are spear heads with gaps going down the middle with chains connected to the ends that extend twenty-five feet and then pull the blades back into the discs that the fade out of existence. These blades and chains were hotter than dragon fire and had enough force in their strike to slam right through one end of a gronkle iron block and out the other end, and I know this because I tested it on a piece that was sixteen feet thick. Along with this since it was so hot simply touching the passing chains would be enough to melt right through any weapon that strikes them so all in all, these were going to take some practice, but I was happy with them.

Finally, there's the automaton I'd made using the ruby heart and diamond brain I was given by Lord Hephaestus along with the thirty sentient metal pieces that were twice the size of my head I found in the bag he gave me, and I had to say it was without a doubt my greatest creation. This automaton took the form of a dragon since I could honestly think of no greater body to house these artifacts given to me by Hephaestus himself to create something similar to his own automatons. As expected though, designing such a thing was not easy in the least since I needed to account for a lot like what could be used to create its flames, materials to create its body, how it should look and so much more. With the help of Daedalus, the designs came together though with a few new ideas to make it more powerful and by the end it was all truly worth it.

The internal body systems is mostly gears and mechanics made of diamond steel to help move the joints of the whole body but I used a combination of Gronkle iron mixed with Diamond steel and ruby dragon, created using fusion ore to create the skeleton, using latch stone mixed with deathsong goo and diamond steel to keep it in place from falling apart while the rest of the body was built over it. For muscle mass I mixed Magic clay and Diamond Steel to give it its strength but also flexibility so they could actually act like real muscles because of clay being soft and with its internal temperature it kept the clay soft after being mixed with the diamond Steel. I obviously used Peak stones to create its eyes which were able to link to the brain so it could still see and know what it was doing like an actual dragon.

For its internal fire power I built artificial lungs using bubble stones as the material that could constantly supply it with air which could grant it the ability to blast high power air blast and there was also a third lung made using ruby dragon to form the outside, while lining the inside with fever and spark stone to give it its own fire breath. As for the scales I used sentient metal which act like the nervous systems connected to the brain and heart to give it life along with mixing life stones to help spread the force of life from the heart throughout the whole body like a nervous system and veins throughout the whole body. I'd also mixed in polar quartz and depth sapphires to make the scales stronger when dealing with pressure and temperature changes. Beneath these scales was a second lair made of Zeus stone which could send the lightning through the upper scales when needed in case something hops on, it would get them off. For the wings I used silk woven by Arachne to make the flaps coating them in melted Featherstone fever stone all mixed with a little gronkle iron so using the third Lung which holds the fire, it can actually spread its heat into its wings to give it a hot wing blast and with the sentient metal it can fly more easily. I'd also lined the mouth with sonic granite allowing for a louder roar and if necessary, a sonic blast that could surpass a Thunderdrums blast.

The design of the scales are nonidentical in certain parts from the sides of the dragon and to the shin and feet and upper arm all look like a regular Dragon including lining up the neck but when it comes to the tail the underbelly and spine including the upper part of the leg by the thighs and the forearm and claws look like a huge scales in overlaying each other like a piece of armor from a knight from the head it has a three-prong pattern with two giant black or should I say steel Gray horns that lies between the three prongs style of the forehead and from the same pattern that travels down the head to the tail also are identical in certain spots in the arms travels upward in a V shape while in between. On the side of the jaw bone are three spikes of the same material as the horns but they go up until they the last two line up with the eyes, but on the neck past the skull are three larger spikes that line side by side from the spiny pattern that travels from the tip of the nose down to the base of the tail and one other Spike appears at the base of the neck between the joint bones of the Wings. As for its claws, I made them out of a mix of latch stone, diamond steel and feverstone to make the grip strong and if necessary able to melt through things.

The same form of triangular pattern which is mostly what I could describe the scales that appear on the hand also appears on the thighs with them overfolding each other in three rows and once it reaches the knee of the leg it turns into a regular scaly lizard pattern that travels all the way down to the feet which has the resemblance of that of a chicken's foot with black Talons sticking out from it that somehow even goes over the toe that it comes out almost as if it was wearing fake claw like talents.

Also the very same triangular pattern also takes shape on the wing flaps and the wing fingers and with on each Wing are six fingers you can't really tell to see the other two fingers on the right wing because it's being blocked by the wing folded up in the picture but you can definitely tell by the other Wing that shows the back side of it as for the scale patterns climbing up the wings arms are in the shape of triangles overlaying each other like before and during the same pattern from The Joint down to the fairy wing fingertips which takes the form of regular bumpy reptilian scales until it shows the blackish gray talents that appear at the very end of the fingers but at the Joint are these giant bony spikes that look like slack tights mixed with dragon scales.

From its underbelly which also slightly appears on the elbows of the front legs are a pattern that goes by the shape of a four leaf clover then a diamond then it repeats until it reaches the chest where it takes the shape of Four Diamonds lining up in the center of it almost like a scaly pecs of a humanoid man then once it's past the chest it repeats the same pattern until it reaches the tail which becomes the shape of triangles overlapping each. (AN: Image on pinterest page along with heart)

At first it was just an empty shell once I'd finished building it but then when I put the brain and hearts in, I was amazed by what happened. Steam burst out from all the openings as the peer stones glowed red and came to life as steam burst from the openings in the body as lightning rushed all over it, mixing with the sound of cranks. The body slowly came to life which is when its eyes landed on me before much to my surprise it leaned in and nuzzled me making me chuckle and rub its head. I knew right then and there that this automaton was different since it wasn't being controlled like my other automatons, it was doing this on its own, it had a mind, a heart and a soul. This automaton was my creation and I gave this new species the name 'Copper Scale' and gave the first of this new breed the name 'Gunner' meaning Army or warrior and with the defenses I gave him, he can be considered a one dragon army. I had yet to see him in a fight though but when that day comes, I pity the ones who would be on the receiving end of his wrath.

Besides that, I was finally able to enjoy a little down time and just spend some time with my family so we could make up for the time we lost while I was in Greece. This brings us to now, with me sitting in my tea gardens gazebo, playing a friendly game of Maces and Talons with Brant while Egil was meditating and Chara was laying against one of the supports reading a book, each of us with a cup of tea. Today was a truly peaceful day for me to just enjoy the company of my family members but my wives couldn't join us for different reasons with Blanca helping train some snake guardians, Astrid helping the Berk guard and Hadasa tending to the garden. While my wives were all busy doing their own thing, little Xiu and Zephyr were in the nursery under the care of Chiaki who had become their official nanny when me and my wives were busy.

For that I am grateful since it meant I could take time for times like this, moments when I was able to enjoy some peace and quiet with my kids since it was a rare with how things are in my life. It was then I moved my honorable chief into position winning the game before a snake guardian in human form walked onto the gazebo and bowed as he said.

"Pardon the intrusion master but we have received information from our spies running the restaurant in the Grown Hills tribes village." I sighed and turned to him.

"What's the information?" The guardian pulled out a scroll and handed it to me before I unrolled it and after reading it, I growled in annoyance as Chara asked.

"What's going on?"

"Some men have begun capturing dragons for some reason." I stood up and turned to the kids. "Time for me to go to work." Brant stood up and asked.

"Can we come and help?" I shook my head.

"Not now Brant, right now I need to scout these guys out and gather more information before any of us attack since for all we know, they could be well prepared." He nodded as I walked away to get Toothless so we could get to work.

1 hour later

It's been an hour since I received the information from the snake guardians and since then I've returned to the Grown Hills tribes' market and entered my restaurant while disguised using an illusion. I ordered a serving of chicken while saying a phrase to let the snake guardian who was serving me, know who I really was before waiting for my food. Once I finished my meal I went to the back of the building where I was secretly let in and taken to meet with Chang, the guardian in charge of handling all the information which brings us to now, with me sitting across from Chang who had a bald head and wore a navy blue kimono. I looked at him and asked.

"I received information that some guys are capturing dragons, is it true?" Chang nodded.

"Indeed, I followed them in my snake form and confirmed the information before boarding their ship and discovering where they are hunting the dragons and where their base is set up." He pulled out a rolled-up parchment and handed it to me as I nodded.

"Good work." He bowed before leaving me to get back to his other job while I went to go over the information and scout out the base of these hunters so I could know how best to attack them and evacuate the dragons.

2 days later

It's been two days since I found out about the group that was hunting dragons and since then I've been to their base multiple times on scouting missions and to do a bit of sabotage from the shadows. I'd sabotage their dragon traps, push over a few barrels, steal the voices of sleeping hunters and use them to deceive their allies and more and cause a little trouble among their ranks. When I wasn't doing this though, I spent my time mentally mapping out their base and coming up with a plan to bring down the men and free the dragons. This task would not be easy for a normal person as their base was surrounded by a wooden wall with sharpened point tips, had multiple buildings for different uses and was up against a mountain with a cave built into it where they kept their captive dragons in cells. This made things a little easier for me since I could have my digging dragons along with my mystic shovel to dig a way into the tunnel and lead the dragons out before launching a full attack on the base. Once that was done I could hand the hunters over to Alvin on Outcast island or the Defenders of The Wing to deal with them after I'm interrogating them while the dragons would be brought back to my island and housed in the nests where they'd be safe with the alphas.

This brings us to now, with me being in the hunter's dragon dungeon with my mom leading the dragons we'd freed down the tunnel my whispering deaths had dug in the back while I watched with Toothless at my side. While she did this, my kids were busy breaking open the cells of the remaining dragons that were trapped within and led them to the way out of this place through my tunnels. Keeping watch for anyone else were my wives who were busy keeping an eye out for anyone entering and if they did they'd be taken down and brought to me to be put in my shadow. As for anyone figuring out what was going on, it was unlikely since my statues already took the place of the ones who were guarding the dragons. I watched as the last of the dragons were taken down the tunnel before I turned to my family members as I mounted Toothless and said.

"Stay here, we'll cause a distraction outside drawing all attention to the front and you all can attack them from behind." They nodded before Toothless and I took off down the tunnel where all the other dragons had escaped.

3 hours later

It's been three hours since we rescued the dragons from those hunters and in those three hours, we'd captured them all, looted their camp of anything useful, interrogated them for information on why they were doing this and more before dropping them all off on Outcast Island. Now I would normally be happy to have saved some dragons and captured some hunters but unfortunately, I discovered they were hired by someone to capture the dragons and this person sent their hooded subordinates to do the business. This meant I had no leads to what could possibly be a new threat to the dragons and possibly the archipelago which was a big headache for me. Now though I was laying in bed and staring up at the ceiling while getting the feeling that me and my family were in for a lot more battles in the future. I sighed while looking down at my sleeping wives and knew as long as I had my family, I could take on anything and went to sleep.

AN: And that brings an end to another chapter which is one I hope you all enjoyed and will review kindly and with that said, I'm afraid that the future chapters may take a little longer in the future if I don't finish them by Friday. The reason for this is I've decided to spend my weekend writing time working on my novel since I've been putting it off for so long so my apologies for that. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed the chapter and will review kindly till next time.
