As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows, Mr. Big's sleek black limousine cruised steadily down the street. The city's usual hustle and bustle had quieted, with only a few vehicles passing by and scattered pedestrians strolling along the sidewalks, their faces illuminated by the warm glow of streetlights.
Inside, Mr. Big reclined comfortably, his fingers gently caressing a leather suitcase that sat in his lap as he contemplated his next move. His assistant Leslie sat across from him, her gaze steady and attentive. The silence between them was punctuated only by the soft hum of the engine and the occasional distant sound of the city.
"Ah, Leslie, can you feel it? Soon, the city will be ours," Mr. Big exclaimed, kissing the briefcase. "We'll finally be free from the meddling of WordGirl and her gerbil sidekick! By this time tomorrow, I'll be rich—eh, richer!" He chuckled, a gleeful sparkle in his eye.
Leslie glanced at him, her expression emotionless. "Sir, are you sure this will even work? Those villains don't exactly have a successful track record, you know."
"Leslie! Have some faith!" He proclaimed." With them, as well as this baby by our side, WordGirl and those Bumbling-Biologist won't stand a chance against us!"
"Well, sir, I still don't think this is a good idea!" Leslie replied. "What if they have something else planned?"
"What makes you think that?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. "I assure you, they wouldn't dare to double-cross us. And if they do... well, let's just say they'll regret it."
Meanwhile, Hacker and his crew strolled down the bustling street, their footsteps echoing against the pavement lined with flickering streetlights. The city's night air was cool, filled with the distant sounds of traffic and the occasional murmur of conversation from nearby alleyways.
Buzz and Delete followed closely behind Hacker, their expressions a mix of curiosity and nervousness, while Wicked, Ledge Zusk, and Baskerville kept a vigilant watch for any signs of trouble.
Whenever they'd approached the surrounding citizens to inquire about WordGirl or the whereabouts of Dr. Two-Brains and the other villains, they would hurriedly walked away, ignoring their questions or casting nervous glances over their shoulders. Some were intimidated by the menacing presence of Hacker and his crew, while others seemed to be oblivious towards them.
"Hey boss, can we please sit down for a bit? My feet are getting tired." Buzz asked, his voice exhausted.
"Yeah! We've been walking for hours! And we still don't know where Dr. Two-Brains is." Delete nodded.
"No! I'm not stopping until I find where Dr. Two-Brains is, and can get him to help me get rid of those Earth-brats!" Hacker declared firmly.
"But it's getting dark. Shouldn't we consider turning back?" Ledge suggested cautiously.
"Didn't you hear me?" Hacker scowled. "No one's leaving until we find him!" He then sighed. "Ugh, why didn't I bring the Wreaker?"
As Mr. Big glanced out the window, his attention was drawn to the peculiar group of figures strolling down the street in the opposite direction. Their shapes and sizes appeared oddly mismatched, more mechanical than human. The sight of their robotic forms intrigued him.
"Is it just me, or is there something peculiar about that group?" Mr. Big asked, narrowing his eyes as he pointed out the window.
Leslie sighed, rolling her eyes. "Sir, we've been over this before..."
"No, not that! Look over there!" He insisted. "Take a closer look at them."
Leslie followed his gaze out the window, her eyes widening in realization. The figures appeared distinctly robotic, not quite human in their movements or appearance.
Mr. Big instructed the driver to turn around and park next to the group. Leaning out of the window, he called out, "Hey, you there!"
Hacker's suspicion intensified as he noticed the limo turn around towards them. Without hesitation, he addressed the stranger who had caught their attention. "Who are you? And what do you want?"
Mr. Big leaned out the window, a smirk playing on his lips. "Bit late to be wandering the streets, don't you think?"
Wicked stepped forward, her eyes narrowing. "Listen, pal, I don't know who you think you are, but you've got a lot of nerve talking to us like that!" She pointed her wand at him threateningly.
Mr. Big raised his hands in mock surrender, a sly smile playing on his lips. "Woah, woah, no need for that. I'm just trying to help. You see, I have a feeling we might have some... mutual interests." He glanced briefly at Leslie, who rolled her eyes but remained silent.
Hacker narrowed his eyes, clearly skeptical. "And what interests might those be?"
Mr. Big leaned forward, his smile widening. "Taking down some common enemies, perhaps? I couldn't help but notice your impressive display earlier. My name's Mr. Big, and I think we might be able to help each other."
Wicked lowered her wand slightly but maintained a defensive stance. "Why should we trust you?" she demanded, her voice filled with suspicion.
"Maybe he can help us deal with those Earth-kids who always cause us trouble!" Buzz suggested, eyeing Mr. Big with a mix of curiosity and caution.
"And maybe he knows something about Dr. Two-Brains and that WordGirl lady we saw earlier." Delete added, catching Mr. Big's attention.
"WordGirl and Dr. Two-Brains, ehh?" Mr. Big mused, his interest piqued.
"Yeah! We saw her defeat him earlier today," Delete explained eagerly.
"Yeah, and we're hoping to find him so he can help us get rid of the Cybersquad," Buzz added, nodding in agreement.
"Interesting..." Mr. Big replied thoughtfully. "What if I were to tell you that I know a thing or two about him?" He offered, his tone suggestive.
Hacker crossed his arms, maintaining a skeptical expression. "Go on," He prompted, clearly interested yet cautious.
Mr. Big opened the door to his limo. "Why don't you all hop in? Let's discuss this somewhere a bit more appropriate. I think you'll find my offer... very appealing," he suggested with a sly smile.
Wicked narrowed her eyes suspiciously. "And what's in it for you?"
"A fair share, of course," Mr. Big replied smoothly. "And the satisfaction of seeing WordGirl out of the picture once and for all."
Hacker exchanged a glance with Wicked and the others, each giving their nods of approval, before turning their attention back towards him. "Alright, but if this is a trap, you'll regret it."
With that, they climbed into the limo, and Mr. Big's driver smoothly pulled away from the curb. As they settled into the plush seats, Mr. Big turned to face them, his expression all business.
"So, let's cut to the chase, shall we? We all have nemeses we want to eliminate, right?" He paused, scanning their faces. "How do you feel about teaming up with some of the most notorious villains in this city?"
...
Back at Dr. Two-Brains' hideout, the atmosphere was one of boredom and restlessness. Some villains slouched in their seats, barely keeping their eyes open as they stifled yawns. Others engaged in listless chatter, their voices blending into a dull murmur. A few idly fiddled with their gadgets or weapons, more out of habit than interest.
Zach, unable to contain his frustration, paced back and forth in front of them, his footsteps growing louder and more impatient with each pass.
"Where is he?" Dr. Two-Brains grumbled, fuming with impatience. "He was supposed to be back here hours ago!"
"He better get here soon. We're almost out of snacks!" The Butcher added, glancing at the nearly empty table of food.
Just then, the door swung open, and Mr. Big strode in, carrying a black leather suitcase. His sudden appearance instantly drew everyone's attention.
"Oh, finally! Took you long enough!" Zach exclaimed in frustration. "What kept you? Your office isn't even that far—" He stopped mid-sentence, his eyes widening as he noticed the group following Mr. Big.
"Greetings, fellow troublemakers and chaos creators! It is I, The Hacker, the most feared borg in all of Cyberspace!" He announced, stepping forward with a flourish. "My associates and I have heard from Mr. Big about your grand plan. And I must say, I'm quite impressed!"
The rest of the villains stood silently, exchanging confused and uncertain glances with one another.
"Mr. Big, don't mind me asking, but why exactly are they here?" Donita asked, her demeter unchanged.
Hacker stepped forward. "It appears that we may have more in common with one another then you think." He explained. "You see, like you, we too have to deal with the annoying presence of a bunch of annoying do-gooders who foil our every brilliant scheme."
Hacker stepped forward with a dramatic flourish. "It appears we may have more in common than you think," He announced, his voice dripping with theatrical disdain. "You see, much like you, we are plagued by the incessant interference of a group of meddling do-gooders who thwart our every brilliant scheme. The Cybersquad, as they call themselves, are a constant thorn in my side."
"The Cybersquad?" Granny May questioned.
"You see, these annoying Earth-brats were brought to Cyberspace by Motherboard, the leader of Cyberspace. Ever since then, those meddling kids have foiled every single one of my plans to take over Cyberspace!" Hacker exclaimed with frustration.
"Not only that, but they also prevent us from trying to thwart Hacker and take over Cyberspace for ourselves," Ledge added.
"Wait, so you're telling me you all keep getting outsmarted by a bunch of ordinary kids?" The Butcher snickered, prompting the other villains to burst into mocking laughter.
"Well, don't you also get outsmarted by some girl who's obsessed with the dictionary?" Wicked retorted defensively.
"Yeah, but she's a superhero from outer space! This is just a bunch of ordinary children we're talking about!" Lady Redundant Woman declared, their laughter growing louder.
"Enough!" Hacker's voice boomed, cutting through the laughter like a sharp blade. The room fell silent, every eye turning to him. "Yes, they may be children, but they are resourceful and persistent. They have allies, skills, and strategies that have repeatedly foiled me. We cannot underestimate them."
Hacker continued, his tone measured but authoritative. "But together, with my leadership, and our combined expertise, we can turn the tide. We can outsmart them, outmaneuver them, and finally achieve our goals."
Dr. Two-Brains nodded slowly, his whiskers twitching with irritation. "You know, he's got a point. Like the Cybersquad, WordGirl and the Kratt brothers are very strategic and determined."
"And annoying! Don't forget annoying!" Gourmand shouted.
"Alright, but what's your point?" Victoria Best asked, her voice skeptical.
Hacker stepped forward, his eyes narrowing. "The point is, together, we can eliminate all of our nemeses once and for all. We pool our resources, our knowledge, and our skills. With our combined forces, WordGirl, the Cybersquad, and any other heroes don't stand a chance."
"Think about it. Each of us has been thwarted individually, but united, we can become unstoppable. We have the opportunity to seize control of both Cyberspace and the real world." Ledge declared.
"How do we know we can even trust you?" Chuck asked, raising his hand in confusion.
Hacker smirked. "We don't have to trust each other completely. We just need to share a common goal: get rid of those meddling heroes. Once they're out of the picture, we can discuss how to divide our spoils."
The villains exchanged skeptical glances, but Hacker's conviction began to sway them. Slowly, murmurs of agreement and nods of approval spread among them.
"Wow, boss, I think it's working!" Buzz excitedly whispered.
"Of course!" Hacker chuckled. "With these villains on our side, those Earth-brats won't stand a chance. Soon, I'll be rid of them once and for all."
"Now hold on just a second, chief. As much as I like your enthusiasm, there's still a lot to consider," Mr. Big replied.
Hacker raised an eyebrow. "Such as?"
"Well, for one thing, how are we going to find the Cybersquad? They could be anywhere in the city," Dr. Two-Brains pointed out.
"Oh, don't you worry. I'll find them, even if I have to search every single city on this pathetic planet," Hacker declared.
"If I may, I have a suggestion that's not as time-consuming," Tobey McCalister spoke up. "One of my classmates mentioned that the Kratt brothers are hosting a nature event at the park this weekend, and WordGirl is supposed to make an appearance."
"And knowing the Cybersquad, they'll definitely show up," Zusk added. "They can't resist anything to do with nature."
"Ugh! I'm already getting sick just thinking about it!" Paisley Paver groaned.
"But how can we be sure they'll show up?" Seymour Smooth asked.
"Trust me, they will," Hacker replied confidently. "And with all three of them there, it'll be the perfect opportunity to take care of them once and for all!"
The villains exchanged determined glances, each fueled by their own vendettas and desire for victory. The stage was set, and the countdown to their ultimate showdown had begun.
"Let's make sure we all know our parts," Dr. Two-Brains proclaimed, breaking the tension. "We'll meet again tomorrow to finalize everything."
"Agreed," Hacker nodded. "Tomorrow, we'll cement our alliance and prepare for the greatest takedown in all of history."
With that, the meeting ended, each villain retreating into their own thoughts, eagerly anticipating the chaos that was soon to unfold.
As the villains dispersed, the room echoed with their footsteps, each step a promise of the impending chaos. The air was thick with anticipation and unspoken promises of vengeance. The city, blissfully unaware of the brewing storm, continued its quiet hum outside the hideout, oblivious to the sinister plans unfolding within.
