Hello all! Thank you for liking this story! I had to think about which shinigami I wanted to make an appearance and I think I picked the best ones. I HAD to add Hitsugaya Toushirou because he is my favorite character! I also had to think which ones would best fit as 'students' and the four I chose would have done the job nicely. No one would suspect them, except maybe our fav Dragonball guys!
We are almost at the moment, when the big reveal occurs! I'm working on it right now and I hope it does this story justice! I want it to be as perfect as possible! Until then, enjoy!

Chapter 10: Reconnaissance
I will be coming to your school tomorrow but discreetly on the roof…It will be hard, but you will need to act as though everything is normal. If you are able to go outside, do it and stay with the person that gave you this notebook, that will help me determine who to watch.
Piccolo's words made Kira nervous. Shinigami…Shinigami!? As in…Those beings that take souls away? It was just a tale told to little kids to scare them but yet again everything she has seen so far was beyond normal…And apparently, neither was she.
She ventured into her home room, a bit more cautious than before. She saw her friends in the back, Hinamori waving at her approach. There was a member missing, the white haired Hitsugaya-San.
"Um…" She was scared and nervous at the same time. "Where's…?"
"Hitsugaya-san? He's…Sick…" Hanatarou-San eeped.
"Yeah…He gets sick a lot…" Hinamori sighed. "Poor guy…"
"I heard he had to postpone school because he was in the hospital for months." Rukia said.
"Oh…" So he wasn't here. "Do you know…If he'll come back?"
"Why ask?" Rukia grinned at her. "You got a crush? Careful Hinamori-San! Kira-Chan will take your man away in an instant!"
"Kuichiki-San! Stop it!" Hinamori-San hid her blushing face in her shirt.
Meanwhile, a light patter of feet touched the roof. Piccolo had done a walk through of the building last night. There was nothing of substance here. For all intensive purposes, it was just a school focused on arts. He reached into the building and found hundreds of normal kis…There was nothing to indicate anything unusual here.
He stood on the roof for hours, keeping his focus on the ki inside. If there was so much as a difference, he would know. He had never truly met a shinigami before, no one had. He was sure they existed but were secretive in nature. Not even King Yama had seen them before; Piccolo only had rumors and legends to go on here…But he was certain a shinigami's ki, if they had any, would closely resemble Kira's. It was the only explanation as to why they were protecting her. She had to be one of them or something connected to them in some way or shape.
While he remained on watch his mind went through all the possibilities he could think of. Never had shinigami been invested in…anything really. He only knew of them through Kami's subconscious knowledge he had absorbed that long ago day. He would've thought himself mad for even assuming such things…Yet, shinigami were the only possible solution here.
Piccolo was always on guard with his surroundings, even with monitoring the several ki below. Nothing ever really surprised him. It was truly shocking when such did…Something bounced off the back of his head. It was more like a light tap. Looking over his shoulder he noticed the crumbled piece of paper lying there. Quickly he looked around. There was no one on the roof safe for himself, however, considering the situation, it was possible that was false.
Slowly he picked up the paper ball, unfurled it. The page shook in his hands…
It definitely was a message…
To Whom It May Concern,
We are aware of your curiosity and suggest you concentrate on other subjects of interest as the current situation is not your concern. We do wish to state that the previous 'shadow' as you call them, has been reprimanded and replaced. There will be no more such incidents as before. We will not make contact unless necessary. Our orders are for observation and protection purposes only. Rest assured, Son Kira is well looked after and once the convergence occurs, she will be taken to a more secure location. Please be patient as this transition might cause a collision, one we wish to avoid at all cost. We do not harm the living, but if you continue with this venture, we will have no choice but to retaliate.
Underneath the message was the elongated skull with triangle eyes.
So…They were waiting…For something to happen and when it did, they would take Kira away.
Regaining his rationality, Piccolo crumbled the note, put it in his pocket. He would definitely give this to Gohan and Goku to look at.
"Like hell I'm listening to a bunch of cowards who won't even show their faces." He snorted to the air around him. "Why don't you say this crap to my face?"
Silence answered back.
"Heh, figures…" Folding his arms he smirked to the air. "So…You plan on taking Kira away from the strongest person on this planet? You must be very brave or very stupid." Of course he was trying to goad whoever sent this message. He was positive they were here, most likely watching his reaction to the note. "If you really are a shinigami, then you know damn well Goku will fight you to hell and back should you even think about taking that girl away…Heh, he'll probably even enjoy it." He glared at the air around him. "It doesn't matter what your stupid 'orders' are…Son Kira now has the Earth's strongest protectors in front of her. It's your own damn fault our paths crossed, so deal with it." He huffed. "My guess is you want her to enjoy normal life for as long as possible…I can respect that…But the girl is NOT normal. The quicker you realize this, the better for her, you and us mortals. I will teach the girl how to hon her Ki so it doesn't kill her. If you want to stop me, then stop me right here, right now. Otherwise go to hell and stay there."
Again, he was met with nothing but the wind. He had a feeling he would get no answer thus he returned to his watch.
On the other side of the roof, Zori sandals lightly scraped against the hard structure below but of course, Piccolo would not have heard it. Black and white clothes swayed in the wind.
He knew this would happen at some point…It was a very bad idea to let the girl stay with THEM…the very mortal souls Squad 11 was bleeding at the chops for once death took them. There was nothing to be done about it, he would not back down, no matter how much anyone had argued about the stupidity of it. The girl needed to be taken to the Seireitei immediately but that did not happen. Now, they were in this situation. He had been told to write a note or something, explaining the situation…That the green being would sort of understand and possibly back down.
As this specific captain predicted, such things did not happen. Pulling out his cell phone, he relayed what he just witnessed. The person is silent on the other side.
"This is very ridiculous, even for you." Yelling on the other side. "Seriously? You are yelling at me? I am much older than you." Another few words and another sigh. "Fine…Agreed…" He stared at Piccolo's back. "Friday…we will make ourselves known, but only the four of us." He paused. "I hope you are ready…Even I know this is going to break her…Hitsugaya-Taicho out." Gone was the cellphone. Toushirou put his hands in his sleeves, looked towards the skies.
"I hope you know what you are doing, Kurosaki Ichigo…"
