Might Guy was up early in the morning, heading out to find Naruto and get him started with his training. He was up a good hour or so before sunrise, eager to check in on his new student and see how things were going. As he arrived at Naruto's apartment and opened the door, he immediately noticed a serious problem: the place was a mess. Walking over to the kitchen, he noticed that the trash was filled with instant ramen containers. How could someone show off the power of youth with such a diet? There was nothing wrong with ramen as a whole, but having it so much was not a good move.
Guy left briefly, returning with groceries and taking out the trash. He cleaned up the kitchen and started to cook some eggs for Naruto's breakfast. As he cooked, he heard stirring from Naruto's room. He figured the boy would be in for a surprise. He looked at the clock; it was still half an hour until sunrise, not super early but not too bad. He had heard an alarm go off, showing that Naruto was taking the initiative to get up for his training, which made Guy proud.
Guy turned as he saw Naruto coming out of his room, dressed and half awake. "Good morning, my youthful student! I am here to make you a good breakfast. You must have good fuel to empower the youthfulness of your soul. While ramen is good, a variety of food is even better."
Naruto rubbed his eyes and moved to sit down, nodding his head groggily as he smelled the eggs cooking and saw the glass of milk by his spot. Waking up early was proving to be more challenging than he had thought.
"Thanks, Guy-sensei," Naruto mumbled, still half-asleep. "I didn't expect you to be here so early."
Guy grinned, his enthusiasm undiminished. "The path of youth requires dedication and hard work, Naruto! No eat up, a good breakfast is important, out meals help make our bodies, let eat and get right to our youthful workout!"
Naruto nodded, starting to wake up more as he ate the eggs and drank the milk. The nutritious breakfast was a refreshing change, and he could already feel a bit more energized. "This is really good, Guy-sensei. Thanks."
Guy gave a thumbs-up. "That's the spirit, Naruto! Remember, a strong body and a strong spirit go hand in hand. Now, finish up, and we'll head out to seize the day with all our youthful vigor!"
Naruto nodded as he finished his food and got to his feet. "Thanks for breakfast, Guy-sensei," Naruto called out as Guy stood there, both of them ready to tackle a full day of training together, unlike the previous day where he only did a part of a workout.
"Okay, we're going to start with a run around the village, a good three-mile warm-up for the rest of the day," Guy declared, motioning for Naruto to run with him. They ran through the whole town, with Guy running every step alongside Naruto, making sure to be there with him each and every step.
Naruto could feel the burn, but it wasn't too bad; he liked having his teacher running with him as they made the the time the laps were done, they had finished their warm up, and were now at one of the training grounds, the same one that Naruto had run into Guy at the day before.
"Sensei, what are we going to do this morning next?" Naruto asked naturally curious what a full day of training with Guy would be like.
"Okay, let's do as many push-ups as you can, then as many sit-ups as possible, and finish with as many punches and kicks as you can manage. This is a test run, so today's numbers aren't as important. We're setting a baseline to surpass over the course of this month," Guy explained, wanting a starting point for Naruto's training.
Naruto nodded and got started on the set. He began his push-ups one by one, feeling the challenge increasing as he pushed up and down repeatedly. He wanted to set an impressive number to start off with and managed a good eight hundred and forty push-ups before he had to stop.
"Good work, that's a great start to your test. Next, let's do the sit-ups. Show the power of your youth!" Guy declared.
Naruto quickly transitioned from push-ups to sit-ups, feeling the burn even more clearly. He pushed himself to get as high a number as possible, wanting to both impress Guy and do his very best. He reached seven hundred and seven sit-ups before moving on to punches and kicks. These were much harder than usual as he could feel his body really feeling the soreness from the previous run, push-ups, and sit-ups. He threw his punches quickly, trying to do his best, hitting the target a grand total of seven hundred and sixty times, and then finished with six hundred and sixty kicks.
"Good work, Naruto. You did great for your first time. Remember those numbers, and I'm sure that by the end of the month, you'll be doing so much better. Your numbers will be much higher," Guy commented, feeling proud of Naruto for pushing through each of the tests that followed one another and were quite challenging on the first day. This was a mark to drive Naruto to push hard and reach the maximum power of youth possible before his fight with Neji.
Naruto panted heavily, sweat dripping from his brow, but a determined grin spread across his face. "Thanks, Guy-sensei. I'll do my best to surpass these numbers. I won't let you down!"
Guy gave a thumbs-up, his eyes shining with pride and enthusiasm. "That's the spirit, Naruto! Now, let's cool down and stretch. Remember, recovery is just as important as the training itself. We need to keep your youthful body in top condition!"
Guy led Naruto through the cool-down exercises for the morning, ensuring that they didn't push too hard and too much at once. The morning had gone great, and they had pushed the training about as far as was needed. As they finished the cool-downs, Guy had an idea.
"Naruto, would you like to come with me to check on Lee? After that, we can get some youthful curry. My treat!" Guy offered, his usual enthusiasm evident.
Naruto, now more awake and feeling the endorphins from the exercise, brightened at the suggestion. "Yeah, that sounds great, Guy-sensei! I'd like to see Lee and curry sounds awesome."
Guy grinned widely. "Excellent! Let's go, then. Checking on our comrades and sharing a meal are both important parts of the path of youth."
They headed to the hospital, the journey filled with Guy's motivational words and Naruto's eager responses. When they arrived, Guy led Naruto to Lee's room. Lee was still resting, but Guy wanted Naruto to see the determination that Lee represented, even in his current state.
"Lee, Naruto and I are here," Guy said softly, knowing Lee couldn't respond but feeling it was important to speak to him anyway. "Naruto is training hard, just like you always do. He's showing the power of youth in every step, punch, and kick."
Naruto looked at Lee with a mix of respect and determination. "Lee, I promise to train as hard as you would. I won't let you down, and I'll make sure to give Neji a fight he won't forget."
Guy nodded approvingly. "That's the spirit, Naruto. Now, let's go get that curry. A good meal will fuel our youthful energy for the rest of the day."
The two of them went to the restaurant after checking on Lee. Guy ordered two large orders of curry: a super spicy one for himself and a milder one for Naruto. They sat down, each with a large glass of water.
"Now, after this, we'll get back to training. This afternoon, we'll focus more on taijutsu," Guy said enthusiastically. "We're going to start off working on mastering your taijutsu form, and then we will move into working on some sparring between the two of us. I know that your fighting style is already very creative and original. I know that with some youthful refinements, you'll be even more amazing."
Naruto grinned as he dug into his curry. "Sounds good, Guy-sensei! I'm ready for whatever you throw at me."
Guy took a moment to eat his curry before looking up. "Good, now just so you know this is the type of thing you will be able to expect moving forward as we train. This is a pretty normal training day when training with me. So, I hope that you are ready for it, as it will only get more intense as we move forward."
Naruto nodded, feeling a mix of excitement and determination. "I'm ready, Guy-sensei. I'll work as hard as I can."
Guy smiled proudly. "That's the spirit, Naruto! Remember, the power of youth is limitless when you give it your all."
After finishing their curry, they went to the training ground, where Guy first worked on Naruto's form, improving his taijutsu on a technical level. They went through punches and kicks, enhancing his Strong Fist style of attack. As they trained, Guy noticed something and turned his head.
"Naruto, focus on your training. There's someone I need to talk to for a moment."
Guy walked over to a familiar figure. "Jiraiya-sama, how can I help you today?"
Jiraiya looked closely at Naruto as he stood there. He could sense something was just off when he threw his punches and moved. "Guy-san, I see you're working with Naruto. I have to say his chakra flow looks a bit off. I can tell just watching him from here. Also, mind if I help with this training? We can two-man this. I just want to give a bit of knowledge to the kid. I have this feeling that he might need a bit of what I can show him sooner or later."
Guy nodded thoughtfully. "Of course, Jiraiya-sama. Your expertise would be invaluable. Naruto is working hard, and any additional guidance would be a great benefit."
Naruto, curious about the conversation, walked over. "Guy-sensei, who's this?"
Jiraiya, not against using dynamic entries, did one making a playful pose as he looked at the son of his former student. "Now, Naruto, I've heard quite a bit about you, and you should know that I am the magnificent Jiraiya, the great toad sage, one of the great Sannin.."
Naruto's eyes widened in surprise. "Toad Sage, Sannin, that sounds really impressive. I am curious um,what are you doing here?"
Jiraiya chuckled. "Well, I happened to be out and about on my research when I came by and saw you. I saw the potential in you right away, it is rather obvious, you have the markings of greatness Naruto.."
Naruto's excitement was palpable. "Really? That's awesome! I'll do my best!"
Guy nodded approvingly. "With Jiraiya-sama's help, your training will be even more effective. Let's make the most of this opportunity."
Jiraiya clapped his hands together. "Alright then, let's get started. First, we need to work on your chakra control. It's essential for everything else you'll be learning."
Naruto looked determined. "I'm ready, let's do this!"
Jiraiya walked up, his expression serious. "Let me see the seal."
Naruto blinked confused as he looked at Jiraiya, but he did what he was asked. Jiraiya looked closely and saw the signs that Orochimaru had been messing with the seal that Minato had placed onto him. It messed with his natural chakra flow. JIraiya paused and then adjusted the seal as he had to fix it, he had to get it back in order.
"There you go," he said after fixing the issues. "That should work. That isn't the last things we need to work on though Naruto. Next, we must work on your chakra control. I'm sure you've done the tree-walking exercise, so we'll move on to water-walking. Once you've got that down, you'll return to your training with Guy. We'll do this for an hour each day. Think of it as an extra bit of work for your non-taijutsu abilities."
Naruto's eyes lit up with determination. "Water-walking? Alright! I'm ready!"
Guy nodded in approval. "This is a great addition to your training, Naruto. Mastering chakra control will enhance all your abilities."
Jiraiya led Naruto to a nearby pond. "The key to water-walking is maintaining a steady flow of chakra to your feet," he explained. "Too little, and you'll sink. Too much, and you'll push yourself off the surface."
For the next hour, Naruto focused on water-walking, often falling into the water but never giving up. By the end of the hour, he could somewhat tentatively move out onto the water. Jiraiya nodded, satisfied with the progress.
"Good job, Naruto. We'll keep working on this. Now, back to your taijutsu training with Guy."
Naruto, dripping wet but undeterred, returned to the training ground with Guy. The rest of the day was filled with intense taijutsu practice. Guy pushed Naruto to perfect his punches, kicks, and overall form. The training was grueling, but Naruto's determination kept him going.
By the end of the long day of training with both Guy and Jiraiya. Naruto was exhausted. He had ramen for dinner, and when he got home, he collapsed into bed, falling asleep almost immediately. It had been a heck of a hard day of work for himself. He was glad for the work and the focus of both Guy and Jiraiya. He loved what he was able to learn from each of them. He also knew that the future was only going to be more intense, and the training was going to be challenging. He knew that it was going to be completely worth it though in the end. It would get him closer to his end goal.
