Kakashi called Naruto to a meeting that night when they reached camp. It was time to start preparing him to learn the Rasengan. Kakashi knew the history of the move well—it was a jutsu Naruto's father had created as a counter to the Tailed Beast Bomb. It was an incomplete jutsu, one that had never been fully perfected by anyone. Kakashi himself had tried to finish the move a few times but had never managed to pull it off.

Tonight, however, wasn't about completing the jutsu; it was about setting the knuckleheaded blonde on the path to mastering it. Naruto seemed much more focused than before; thanks to the month he had spent training with Guy for his fight against Neji. This growth made Kakashi proud, though a little sad as well. He wished he could have been the one to bring that change in Naruto.

As he waited for Naruto to arrive, Kakashi found himself wondering how long it would take the boy to figure out the Rasengan and truly master it. His mind drifted back to the first time he saw his late teacher, Minato, use the move. Even though Kakashi hadn't shown much emotion back then, he had known the Rasengan was an impressive jutsu. It had even helped inspire his own Chidori.

"Great to see you here, Naruto—and Tenten," Kakashi commented as he saw both the blonde-haired ninja and the dark-haired weapons specialist arrive before him.

"Good evening," Naruto greeted as he found his way to the campfire and sat down. Tenten, who had accompanied him, settled in beside him, her curiosity piqued. Although she wasn't a ninjutsu specialist, she was eager to learn about this special jutsu. She figured that even if it wasn't her area of expertise, understanding it might allow her to help Naruto in his efforts. After all, two heads working on a problem were better than one.

Kakashi looked up as Naruto and Tenten arrived, giving them a nod. "Good evening you two," Kakashi said with a smile his one visible eye on the pair of them. "We are going to do something very important tonight. We are going to start you on the path to learning what will I bet be your signature jutsu. A move that is going to push you to the limits of chakra control, Naruto. I believe however you are going to be able to pull this off. Tenten, if you want to try to help Naruto or try it yourself you are more than welcome to do so."

Kakashi reached into his pouch and pulled out a few small water balloons. He put them on the ground and held up one to show Naruto and Tenten. "Okay, so this is the first step in learning a move called the Rasengan. It is a class A jutsu, and it is very powerful. This move was created by the fourth hokage-sama back in the day. It is something that will give you a weapon to fight against any strong foes out there."

Naruto was taken aback, the move of a hokage. That sounded so cool, and this move had to be really powerful to be a class A jutsu too. He was going to learn it. It felt a bit unreal that he would learn the move of a hokage.

"Now, the Rasengan, is not an easy jutsu to master or perform. It takes a lot of chakra, and a lot of chakra control. It is a powerful move that can counter the most powerful of attacks and be used as an offensive jutsu as well," Kakashi explained calmly as he looked at the two of them. "There are three steps in learning this move. Each step gets more challenging as you move along of course. Now let us move onto the first challenge or test."

He tossed the water balloon to Naruto, who caught it with a puzzled look. "Now, your goal for this first one, is to break the water balloon," Kakashi explained as he held the extra one in his hand. "You will use only your chakra to break it, the key is rotation, to figure out how to spin your chakra in such a way that the power of it is enough to cause the water in the balloon to break the balloon. You can only use your chakra in this challenge, breaking it any other way doesn't count. Remember it's all about getting the water to agitate enough to explode the balloon."

Naruto stared at the balloon, determination setting in as he processed the task ahead. "Got it," he said with a nod, already beginning to focus his chakra.

Kakashi watched him with a mix of pride and anticipation. "Take your time, Naruto. Remember this is just the first part of the challenge. And Tenten," he added, glancing at her, "any insights you can offer might help. This jutsu requires more than just brute force—it needs finesse. So, don't be afraid to jump in if you have an idea. Plus, if you want to have a go at the move go right ahead. I think you might surprise yourself."

Tenten nodded, her mind already considering the possibilities. "I'll do my best to help, Kakashi-sensei," she replied, eager to contribute.

With that, the training began, the quiet night broken only by the sound of the water balloon sloshing as Naruto concentrated, trying to master the rotation of his chakra.

Naruto struggled to grasp what Kakashi had explained. The process sounded incredibly complex and challenging. After about fifteen minutes of intense concentration, he found himself unable to make any progress, and in frustration, he squeezed the water balloon too hard, causing it to burst not from skill, but from sheer annoyance.

Kakashi had left them to work on the technique together, trusting them to figure things out.

Tenten observed quietly, her gaze fixed on Naruto and the balloon in his hands. She reflected on her own abilities with weapons and how they could create destruction. Deciding to contribute, she took the balloon from Naruto and concentrated on channeling her chakra into it. She visualized a powerful vortex, akin to the whirlpool symbol of Naruto's own clan, understanding that it could bring about significant force.

As she focused on creating the swirling motion, she felt the strain of using a substantial amount of chakra. Despite the challenge, she pressed on and managed to burst the balloon successfully. Turning to Naruto with a determined smile, she said, "I think I have an idea of how to do this, Naruto-kun. Let me help you."

Tenten looked at Naruto, hoping her explanation made sense. "So, Naruto-kun, have you ever seen a whirlpool? You know how everything spirals in one direction? What if you created a second whirlpool with the opposite force—one going one way and the other going in reverse? If you layer them on top of each other, the opposing forces should create a powerful rotation that works in unison. This combined force could be the key to creating a strong move."

She watched him closely, hoping that her analogy would help Naruto understand how to manipulate his chakra for the Rasengan.

Naruto listened intently, his eyes lighting up as he grasped Tenten's explanation. "A whirlpool, huh? I get it! So, it's like making two spirals that turn in opposite directions and then putting them together to create something powerful. That actually sounds like it could work!"

Naruto thought about Tenten's words as he looked at the balloon in his hand. He then smiled over at Tenten. Alright, I think I see what you mean. I'll give it a try! Thanks for the idea. I'll focus on creating that double whirlpool effect you mentioned. I know I can do this!"

Naruto's enthusiasm returned, and he immediately began practicing again, this time with the visualization of the opposing whirlpools in mind. Tenten watched him, impressed and taken aback by his dedication and hardworking nature. Naruto was starting to leave a great impression upon the weapon specialist. One she didn't see coming.

Naruto struggled with the complexity of the Rasengan, finding it hard to manage more than one aspect of the rotation at a time. He was frustrated but persistent. Tenten remained by his side, offering guidance and encouragement as they worked through the problem together.

After several hours of trying, Naruto had a breakthrough. He realized that if he could only focus on one part of the rotation, he could use a Shadow Clone to handle the other part. This way, he could combine the efforts of both himself and his clone, much like how he was working with Tenten to figure this out.

Excited by the idea, Naruto grinned at Tenten. "I think I got it! What if I use a Shadow Clone to focus on one part of the rotation while I handle the other? If we combine our efforts, it should work, right?"

Tenten's eyes widened in realization, and she nodded. "That's a great idea, Naruto-kun! Using a clone could definitely help you manage both aspects of the rotation."

With renewed determination, Naruto formed a Shadow Clone and began the practice again. This time, he focused on one whirlpool while his clone worked on the opposite direction. The two forces combined, and after a few attempts, the water balloon burst with a satisfying pop.

Naruto let out a triumphant cheer. "Yes! It worked! Thanks for the help, Tenten-san! This is a huge step forward."

Tenten smiled, pleased with the progress. "Great job, Naruto-kun. I knew you could do it. Keep up the hard work, and you'll master the Rasengan in no time."

In the morning, Kakashi found Naruto and Tenten still asleep and took a moment to observe them. He could see how well they worked together, and it was gratifying for Kakashi to witness. Naruto was still adjusting to working with others, especially people his own age. Aside from their tree-climbing exercise, Team 7 hadn't worked together much like this. Kakashi reflected that perhaps he should have encouraged more teamwork back then. However, he acknowledged that dwelling on past decisions wasn't productive. His focus now was on supporting the next generation as best as he could.

"Now, you two, wake up. It's time for the next step in your training," Kakashi said, having kept a discreet eye on them throughout the night. He was pleasantly surprised that Tenten had managed to complete the task, though he suspected Naruto's influence had played a significant role. It was a pattern Kakashi had observed: Naruto often had a surprising impact on those around him.

Kakashi observed Naruto and Tenten as they slowly woke up. "The next part will be very challenging for you, Tenten-san," he said, looking at her seriously. "I must be honest, I am not sure if you have the natural chakra capability to pull this move off right now," Kakashi informed her honestly. "However, this could still help your chakra control and ability to do the move as well. Plus, maybe if you can have Naruto share some of his massive chakra with you, then you can pull it off too."

Kakashi paused for a moment, he had talked to Guy about Tenten the night before. He found out her goal was to be a legendary ninja like Tsunade. "Plus, pulling this off with Naruto's help will put you a step closer to being like Tsunade, a legendary ninja in your own right."

Naruto, already brimming with energy, jumped up with a determined look. "I'm up for it, Kakashi-sensei! We've got this! And Tenten-san, if you're up for the challenge, I'm sure we can work together to make it happen. Believe it!" He gave Tenten a supportive grin, clearly excited about the prospect of tackling the next challenge.

Tenten, feeling motivated by Naruto's enthusiasm, nodded firmly. "Okay, I will give it my best go," Tenten declared as she felt the sense of determination from Naruto. She felt if he could do this, she could as well. She felt her heart race with excitement and maybe a bit of something else too. "I know that working with Naruto-kun will help, and I am all in for helping him as much as I can," She declared as she looked over at Naruto blushing a little bit. "Let's do our best!"

Neji, who had been quietly eating his breakfast, looked up at Kakashi. "Guy-sama is out training this morning, as usual," he confirmed with a neutral tone. "As for the Rasengan training, it's not something that particularly interests me. I'll focus on my own training and stay out of your way." His calm demeanor and focused attitude made it clear that he was dedicated to his own path, even if he wasn't directly involved in the Rasengan training.

Kakashi nodded, appreciating Neji's professionalism. The group settled into their routines, each member ready to face the challenges ahead in their own way.

Kakashi glanced at Naruto and Tenten as they finished their breakfast. "Okay, let's start on the second part of the plan today. You can work on this while we're traveling. Naruto, do you know how to share your chakra? We should probably start by working on that—sharing some of your chakra with Tenten here."

Naruto looked up from his food, eager and ready. "Yeah, I can do that, Kakashi-sensei! I've done it before with my clones, but I haven't tried sharing chakra directly with someone else. How do we start?"

Kakashi nodded approvingly. "It's pretty straightforward. You'll need to focus on channeling your chakra into Tenten. Remember this is about control as well, and make sure not to overwhelm Tenten. Make sure that you It's important to maintain a steady flow and make sure it's not too much or too little. You both need to be in sync, so trust is important here."

Tenten, who had been listening intently, nodded in agreement. "Got it, sensei," she declared confidently, "Naruto, let's give it a good, I believe we can do this, and I want to continue to progress with you in learning the rasengan. This is a must to do that.

Naruto gave Tenten a confident smile. "Alright! Let's do this. Just let me know if you can feel anything or if I need to adjust how I'm sharing it."

Neji, still eating his breakfast with a detached demeanor, observed the interaction with mild interest. "It's good practice to learn how to share chakra. It's a valuable skill in teamwork and will help in situations where cooperation is crucial."

Kakashi gave a nod of approval, then gestured for Naruto and Tenten to get started. "Exactly. This exercise will not only help with the Rasengan but also improve your teamwork. Let's see how well you two can work together."

Kakashi watched with a faint smile as Naruto and Tenten held hands, their fingers entwined firmly. The exercise was designed to facilitate chakra sharing, and the initial awkwardness was evident in their expressions. Both were concentrating intensely, focusing on channeling their chakra smoothly from Naruto to Tenten.

As they continued, the flow of chakra began to stabilize, and the pair started to get the hang of it. The blush that crept onto their faces was subtle but noticeable, a side effect of their close proximity and the unusual sensation of sharing chakra.

Kakashi, observing from a distance, noted their progress with a nod. The physical closeness seemed to add an extra layer of complexity to the exercise, but they were handling it well. "Good job, both of you," Kakashi said, breaking the silence. "You're getting the hang of it. Remember, the key is to maintain a steady and balanced flow."

Naruto and Tenten exchanged a brief, slightly embarrassed glance but continued their practice with renewed focus. The blush on their cheeks slowly faded as they became more comfortable with the process.

Kakashi's eyes softened as he watched them, appreciating the effort and growth they were showing. "Keep it up. This is a valuable skill that will benefit both of you in the long run. We'll continue practicing throughout the day."

Naruto was having such a great time learning and working with Tenten. It was so different from his experiences with Team Seven. He knew this was far more enjoyable than anything he had experienced before. Ever since he started training with Guy, his life seemed to be improving day by day. He had learned and grown so much with the guidance of Guy, Jiraiya, and now Kakashi. He was determined not to let them or Tenten down. Naruto was resolved to master this jutsu and help Tenten do the same, as well as assist her in incorporating elemental chakra into her weapon attacks.

Kakashi took out two rubber balls and tossed them to Tenten and Naruto, "Okay, now it is time for us to start part two of mastering the Rasengan, this part is about power. You're going to have to break these balls with just your chakra alone, this will be far harder than breaking the water balloons from earlier," he declared as he knew they were going to get it done. He believed in the pair of them.
