Stepping closer to the pesky forsaken, taking a steadying breath, and proceeding to ignore the rest that surrounded us, I held out my hand. "Well, met Wanderer. May your travels lead you safely home." Hearing several exclamations of shock, I waited for her response hoping I'd made the right choice. "Well met Archer, may your Aim be forever true, and your bounty plentiful." she responded smiling slightly letting go of the frozen ones after a brief assessment. She stepped towards me and clasped my forearm as we showed are respect recognizing a fellow warrior with honor. "I thought we agreed the last time you dragged me into your madness, Divina, that I'd receive notice beforehand." the exasperation was clear in my voice as the smug bitch stood there smirking in triumph.
Letting go she leaned forward slightly looking me in the eyes purposely reminding me of our height difference, "aww come on shortie, that was your notice, this is the madness." huffing, I glared at her, "I am above average height, you behemoth, it is not my fault that you are massive compared to the rest of us" stabbing my finger into her chest before crossing my arms after she cooed fucking cooed at me. "Awww, the Wittle koala thinks I'm huge. Sorry, little one, but I'm only 6'. There are others even taller here, and while normally I'd let you use me as your napping tree, I'm reserved permanently." thinking of the blonde in question, I turned and looked at her before ignoring the fool behind me and walking towards her, "Please Miss, allow me to introduce myself, my name is Isabelle Nightshade, heir apparent to the Eternal and Royal house of Nightshade, daughter of shadows and heir to the legion. Pleasure to make your acquaintance." I purred, bending down to place an air kiss above her knuckles before releasing her hand and straightening up.
"Let me know if you ever wish to hear stories of this one's youth. She didn't always have the elegance of a swan I assure you." As my mask of seriousness dropped I couldn't help smirking as the girl giggled while her mate huffed in outrage, "Now see here you…" the response was cut off as the slivery blonde gave a shallow curtsy, "Well met Heiress Nightshade, may your foes cower at the mere utterance of your name, as their blood stains your blade. My name is Luna Lovegood Heiress to the Most noble and Ancient house of Lovegood, Daughter of Pandora, Fae touched. Or so my Mentor says during our sessions." Interesting indeed a member of the courts had blessed a child of magic. Whatever response I was about to give was cut off by a loud exclamation. "Loony, how dare you fraternize with slimy Snakes. Their all dark the lot of them, get over here you bloody Bint!"

Almost as one every fallen present turned towards the rude party wondering who dared talk down to one of the Fae touched. Many were feeling indignation on behalf of the race that had helped them hide going so far as to use the passageways between the Fae courts and the mundane world to smuggle families to safety during the coup that sparked the hidden war. Seeing the same ginger boy from earlier audible growls were heard as even the most passive healer glared at the foolish child eyes blazing. The Weasley twins appeared from where they'd been discussing a fun practice with the team to save their brother's head.
This time, only George spoke, eyes looking anywhere but at the irate group as two healers had to hold Divina back form pouncing on their youngest brother in retribution. "Please forgive our brother for his foolishness, he's spent to much time listening to our mother's rants growing up. We will ensure that he is reminded of his manners and that he will only talk to Heiress Lovegood when he is able to sincerely apologize. We will also be contacting our eldest brother and Heir of House Weasley to ensure this will never happen again." as he finished speaking the last of the school aged Weasley's appeared as rounding on her brothers and hitting Ronald with a bat boogy hex before anyone could react. "I warned you Ronald Billus Weasley that the next time you dared to call Luna 'Looney" I'd hex you, you bloody fool! Fred, George go put his ass on a bench in the corner and stick him to it, add a silencio while you're at it none one wants to hear his complaining while the hex wears off." the fiery redhead seemed to take a calming breath as her elder brothers dragged the bat boogied boy away doing as she asked solemnly uncharacteristic of their usual laid-back attitudes.
The youngest Weasley turned and curtsied to the angry forsaken waiting to be acknowledged, and when she was after a moment of observation, she stood to her full height fierce blue eyes meeting deadly red. "I've told him for years to not call her that, I won't apologies for hexing him. But I will for taking your chance of retribution. In all honesty detention instead of leaving a mangled corpse usually means a lot less paperwork" the stare down was halted by a rasped "No Shit sherlock" coming from the Ambassador, "D there are bigger fish to fry…. Like the idiot that's taking their sweet time in getting here with that fucking vessel." was the gritted response as the Ambassador regained consciousness as the magic continued to drain her energy. "Let them through the Wards McGonagall, they can use the owl entrance to get through and hurry! The kids barley hanging on some Stronzo decided to leave his magical core 75% blocked." hearing this the healers rushed to finish the runes they'd started before the outburst knowing that if they weren't careful many lives could be lost. The three schools watched on as Wixen and Fallen healers worked as one in a blur of green and grey some setting up a ritual circle while others cast wards around ground zero. Professor McGonagall looked towards her current and former students before seeming to take a steadying breath. Then, with sure steps, she moved towards the wall behind the teacher's table, placing her hand upon a hidden crest only a select few knew of since the school's founding. Taping into the protection created by the five founders, McGonagall looked over her shoulder towards the ambassador and waited. "Now" was the shouted response, and a few seconds later, the wards surrounding the roof flickered, allowing a massive shadow to slip through before it reached the ground and formed Five individuals of varying heights.
When the mist dissipated, they looked at one another before the tallest stepped forward. Dressed in animal skin with a bear pelt gracing their shoulders as the animal's head was used as a makeshift helm the being stood close to 6'5 with broad shoulders to say they were imposing was an understatement considering the Great sword resting upon their back. "nå hvor er den irriterende ulven" they spoke the bears head moving as they looked around as though alive. "Her borte, din uvitende bjørn. Slutt å skremme barna og hjelp meg. Det er ikke mye tid." came a gritted reply from the ambassador.

Why is it these days the only times I see that pesky wolf is when she sticks her muzzle where it doesn't belong. Finally seeing her I lumbered over under the weight of my sword and the bag beneath my cloak. Only to be halted by a giant of a man. "Don't you take one more step, you hear" he seemed to try and be imposing but compared to the frost giants it was almost laughable "Bevege" was my only response to this particular obstacle as I looked up and the bears head fell away reveling what I knew to be black eyes, fire dancing within as I judged his soul. Our stare down was halted "Hagrid meet Dagrun, Dagrun meet Hagrid, now playtimes over Harry needs help now and I'm losing my patience." the voice had an almost inhuman quality to it almost as if another was speaking through her and then I knew that Ulvhid had joined us once more. Tearing off the furs I handed them to this Hagrid before I slowly approached the ritual circle that had been placed around the locked pair. "Hilsen, Ulvhid. Måtte jakten din være uendelig." watching her eyes I knew my guess was correct. Treading carefully around them under her gaze and seeing the subtle changes in Callen's features from the lengthened nails with a slight point, the lengthened canines resting against her lower lip, to her ears already slightly pointed normally seemed to have shifted to a sharper angle. "Ulvhid, are the boy and Callen still here or are they lost to us?" knowing the answer could lead to towards two very difficult paths.
A dark ominous chuckle echoed through the room as the infernal flashed her teeth. "All three are present including my lesser half. Their focused on helping to contain the irksome little pest. Callen wants you to know that the boy's core has been 75% blocked since his first winter. The pest is type 6 but malignant due to a spell crafted by the Nattsvinger. We decided to battle like with like." hearing this I cursed wishing these foolish mundane would stop seeking the curse of immortality like rabbits in heat. Seeing the death-touched talking in hushed whispers with a woman dressed in healers garb I bowed my head to the mighty hunter slowly backing away before turning and walking towards the familiar face in this unknown land.

Jaz and I had been discussing possible next steps when we noticed Ulvihd was waking under the strain of the energy being drained to fight the soul fragment latched onto the Potter boy's forehead. Ignoring the restlessness of the crowd that was brought on with Dagrun and the rest of the Bloodmoon's scouts appeared bringing with them decades of experience healing the cursed peoples. Seeing her drawing closer I turned taking a deep breath as I remembered the words "Hilsen, Dagrun, måtte nålen din være like rask som bladet ditt." placing my right hand to my chest and for once lowering my head in respect. "Hilsen, Hlíf. Måtte skjoldet ditt aldri knuses når du beskytter de uskyldige." looking up abruptly I couldn't help my next words, "When…. when did I…but." the hand in mine eased my nerves as luna joined us silently giving me strength. "You earned it the day you protected that little boy from being mauled to death by a pride of sabretooth tigers. We recognized you as kin then but waited because even the youngest knew, that if we told you, it would have only caused you to bolt. So young yet so scarred neither of you should have had to bear the weight of the world upon your shoulders. I see know that Tyra was right in the selection of your name blodsøster. Now how about we get to work and Hvordan sier du det life save?" hearing her say this I felt at peace knowing that there was yet another place that I had dared to think of as home that wanted me back.
Focusing on the matter at hand we spoke with the chief healers as the rest of Dagrun's group came over and walked around the circle before the youngest stepped towards us, "The pentagram won't work for this. Høvding the problem is not that it's done wrong but that we need to keep the dark energy from overwhelming the pentagram. It's already rolling off fryktløs in waves." the woman spoke quickly ignoring the protests of the ICW healers while the fallen merely watched on knowing that this young apprentice was already in a league of her own if she could sense the dampened mana. Having enough of their bickering as Callen's shoulders tensed "ENOUGH, I don't give a shit what you consider light and dark.
The apprentice is already leagues above you wand wavers because she can sense the energy of magic that surrounds us all and flows through all living things. Let her speak or so help me I will show you true evil." I let my control slip as my aura radiated out around me in waves for a moment my eyes blazing as my marks became visible. "One of the only people who ever gave a damn about my existence is inching closer to deaths door. She's never not once treated me with anything but kindness and understanding even when I attempted to take her soul or destroy her mind. She refused to give up on me. So, while you keep having a dick measuring contest, I'm going to save her because if this goes on much longer there will be nothing left." the steel left my voice as I turned to the blodhealere. "I'll do what I can to give you more time please ignore the imbecilic, we both know that you've done these rituals for decades Eir." seeing her acknowledgement of this I walked towards Luna seeing the acceptance in her eyes as a tear escaped. Carefully catching it with my thumb as I stroked her cheek for a moment before leaning down and placing a feather light kiss upon her brow, turning from her I walked through the barrier resolve strengthening with each step before discarding the protective necklace. Grasping Callen's shoulders, I released the control on my powers as my primal and Infernal became one giving it our all we pushed as much mana as possible into our Alfa as the world faded away.
Caterina Pov (After Isabelle's Unveiling)
After talking with Amelia and Susan we decided to set up a date for everyone to meet during the yuletide knowing that I would need Nyx to help plan it. I knew that there was more than one royal Heir present in the hall, many of us biding our time until we could take control of our house seats of power. Nightshade had always been an enigma the few times our paths crossed so I couldn't help but be curious as to her motives. Considering the unsaid history the few times Callen and Isabelle had been present at the same raids one could only hope that this wouldn't lead us all to ruin. Blood feuds were never anything other than destructive tearing families and mates apart while anyone caught in its path never had a chance. Walking towards the Beauxbaton students, I waited at the edge of the group, knowing that the veela and other beings present amongst the group could see me as a threat. After a moment a silvery blonde approached me as we assessed each other the rest of the hall continuing on unaware of the growing tension. "Vous êtes une sirène." she spoke softly, it wasn't a question. "Et tu es une veela." with a quirk of an eyebrow the only indication that I was amused by this stare down. "Les Selkies te font peur, petit oiseau?" having heard that they had stuck their heads above water last night to issue a warning during the twilight hours.
Only receiving a glare in response, deciding that we'd get nowhere at this rate, lifting my hand slowly knowing that they were tracking my every movement slowly sliding it into the jacket opening and pulling an object from the hidden pocket that rested over my heart. Holding it tightly almost unwilling to reveal my greatest possession to the world. Holding out my fist towards her, watching her eyes, and slowly turning it over before unfurling my finger to reveal a necklace. Seeing surprise flash across her gaze I knew she had been expecting a weapon of some kind but not this. "C'était celle de ma mère, from when my parents had just started courting, Μητέρα had wanted her to feel connected to home wherever she went, and Ma knew that if the three of them were ever going to work they'd need to walk in each other's shoes literally. For a few weeks the first summer after they'd all met, each was introduced to their respective clans. The veela to a Merecolony, the Siren to the flock, and the werecat to both. Before all three went to see Ma's old pride lands nearly nothing was left after the brotherhood had raided the village during the early days of the uprising. To say they were shocked to find out she was fallen was an understatement…" unwilling to see her reaction, I looked down at the necklace in the middle was a claw surrounded by black pearls, dumortierite, small veela and fallen feathers in a complex pattern threaded on a woven cord unfrayed despite the passage of years.
"Their gone but they'll never find peace forever trapped because of that blasted curse. Our attackers had carried cursed crystals and threw one against the ground when Drake had showed up. It had shattered against the ground and in an effort to protect us, my parents jumped on it using their bodies to shield us from the worst of the effects. Nothing we've tried has turned them back." a hand blocked my vision as she lightly closed my fingers back around it, startled I almost met her gaze in shock quickly adverting my eyes " I promised them that one day I'd offer my hand in friendship to another regardless of ancient feud's, they raised us to honor our mixed heritage, and to be openminded of things we didn't understand." closing my eyes briefly and clearing my throat attempting to get my emotions under control unwilling to show such weakness despite teaching my siblings differently, opening them I waited for what she would do next.

I had misjudged her greatly much like another of the fallen that was currently risking her life to save a wizard she didn't know. Still clasping her closed hand I looked at this mysterious general remembering what Zaria had quietly told us earlier of the Ossos clan. I couldn't imagine what I'd do if I lost any of my family to such tragedies, and knowing that my sworn sister had after the first days of us meeting once she had moved in. we had been cold to each other in those days unable to overcome the cultural barriers that divided us. I couldn't separate the girl that had come to live with us from the one who had been so cold after we had run into each other the day my Grand-mère along with Maman had made the agreement to open our home to a stranger. Something inside me had raged seeing Callen not knowing that it had been my veela reacting to a threat. I'd nearly burned her after she shoved me off her in retaliation, my young mind unable to comprehend the situation. It'd taken a massive storm days later for Zaria and me to start bonding; I'd woken up to a soft whimper and had stumbled to her room only to find a small pup shaking under the covers consumed by a nightmare. After some coaxing, we sat together watching the lightning, her head resting on my lap as I stroked her fur after receiving permission. Papa had found us the next morning two little girls curled around each other.
From that day onward we'd grown closer rarely leaving each other's sides as we both protected Gabbi with her having been born a year later. Focusing back on the fallen Infront of me and slowly tightening my hand around hers, "I'll consider it, only if you never call me a little bird again, fishy." clearing my throat I remembered my aunt's lessons on the importance of greetings amongst the original families. "Eh bien, il a rencontré l'héritière Ossos. Puisse votre famille prospérer à jamais dans la gloire de la chasse comme vos ennemis sentent leurs os se glacer à la simple mention de votre nom." I couldn't help my smile when she nearly met my eyes once more, before audibly taking a breath, "Eh bien, j'ai rencontré l'héritière Delacour. Que ton troupeau prospère, ne faisant toujours qu'un avec le ciel." the rough timber of her voice became more prominent when she spoke french. It made me briefly wonder how it'd sound in another context.

Sometimes I really want to wrap that little shit in bubble wrap and duct tape her into it. I watched Ossos and Fleur knowing that this could make our stay here safer for the flock with the merfolk's threat ringing in my ears. 'Beware children of the sky, dare to walk along the water's edge and we'll enjoy playing with your corpse.' morbid but to the point. Recalling the stories of how this particular feud had started:
An archipelago off the coast of Greece had been home to a veela clan for years hidden from the outside world. Here they lived freely the magic of the Islands protecting them from pirates that scoured the seas looking for their Island paradise. There was a siren colony that returned to the lagoons each year in the colder months. Occasionally they would bring back goods they'd collected from sunken ships to trade with the Veela and they were at peace living in prosperity together until one day everything changed. A young siren having heard stories of selkies that traveled the oceans, shedding their sealskins, and walking amongst the humans on land had caused her to wish to be able to do the same. After leaving the lagoon she traveled the seas, finding a Cecaelia who practiced magic; she bartered with the woman her voice for the ability to walk among the land dwellers.
Having heard of a mermaid that had fallen for a mortal that had not loved her and married another, leaving the mermaid to become one with the sky after being unable to kill him, she could return to the sea. The Cecaelia cautioned the young siren, "I can only give you three days in the land above young one, see the sites, but be wary of man for many if they know what you truly are will hunt you for your voice. When the moon reaches its highest point at the end of the third day, return to the beach and wade into the water. As your tail reforms your voice will return to you. But know that no one can witness you do this, if they do the pirates that dock their ships in this lagoon will not tire until they have you in their clutches." the siren eager to explore ignored the sea witches warning.
And once the magic faded, she had gotten the hang of walking quickly and after stealing a dress off the clothesline proceeded into town. Amazed by what she saw in her explorations as the day grew later, she felt the first pangs of hunger. Finding a tavern near the docks, she walked in, and using the small pouch of money the sea witch had given her, bought a light meal of fish before sitting at a table in the far corner. Watching the drunken revelry, she felt like there was someone watching her in return. A dashing young man no older than his early twenties was leaning against the bar, his sandy colored locks and ocean blue eyes shining brightly matched his smile. Dressed in fine clothes he stood out from the rest.
Ignoring the feeling of dread in the back of her mind she let him sit with her and after listening to his stories of adventure, she agreed to spend the next two days with him. As the sun set on the third day she had suddenly remembered the sea witches warning knowing that she would have to sneak away from the man who was holding her almost lovingly from behind she cherished the moments wanting to have something to remember him by she allowed him to lead her to his home and bed her. Once he was asleep she snuck from the room and hurried towards the sea dropping the dress next to the line where she found it and waded into the sea. In her haste she hadn't considered the necklace he had gifted her earlier in the day.
This necklace would be her down fall for it was enchanted by a witch to track her no matter the distance. The dashing man was a pirate captain who had thought the woman was a selkie unable to find her pelt he settled for the necklace. Wanting to keep her forever no matter how far she fled from him. The next day, he had roused his crew and set sail, following the mermaid as she made her way home. Crossing the wards that protected the archipelago, she had wanted to tell her friend of her travels meeting the veela on the rocks of a small lagoon. They had talked unaware of the terror that was nearly upon them. The wards had blared late in the night rousing the islands inhabitance as the ship appeared through the fog. Many fled for cover as the ship threw its anchor in the small lagoon trapping the siren. Unwilling to leave her friend behind, the young veela struggled to summon her fire, knowing that by doing so, she would risk everything but needing to buy time for the island's protectors to reach them. The pirates surrounded the pair amazed by their luck as they contemplated what to do with the bounty before them. The crew parted to revival the captain as he stepped forwarded a dark grin visible in the shadows of the veela's fire before he looked up, taking off his hat Hello my prize did you really think you could escape me' the siren and veela had locked eyes as the words had registered fear and anger reflecting each other's gazes.
In a rage the veela had started to set the pirates ablaze uncaring of the ramifications before only the captain was left. Instead of fear in his eyes there was laughter as he spoke once more 'go ahead do it but if you do then she will die with me' before she could react the sound of an arrow being let loose reached her ears. In an attempt to save her friend she ran at the captain, the arrow piercing threw her back and lodging itself in his chest. Gasping for breathe she broke the arrow that had pierced his heart and crawled to her friend. They held each other as their souls left them and became one with the stars together forever more.
From that day onward the veela and sirens had blamed each other for the deaths of their sisters causing a war that was only halted by a treaty that veela would not enter the waters of the sirens and their two peoples would remain separate for all eternity. Well until A Siren and Veela realized they had both come to love the same werecat but that's a story for another time.
Watching these two now interact I couldn't help but hope that if these feuding races could find peace that maybe just maybe it was possible for my people as well. Walking up to them I knew that the only way to keep my cover was to pretend that I had never met Caterina. "Fleur who is this?" they both looked at me slightly bewildered before I cleared my throat and looked at them pointedly. "I was entertaining gabby and hadn't heard your introduction." seeing their realization they recovered quickly Cat placing the necklace back in her jacket as Fleur spoke, "of course, Zaria this is Caterina Ossos, Caterina this is Zaria Fell, my best friend and a ward of House Delacour." smug red heads are infuriating truly, " Enchanté, Miss Fell, It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance." of course she decides to be a Casanova right now. Why is it that all these fools my cousin included see emotions as weakness. "I'm sure it is Genral, Now was there a reason you decided to interrupt us, or?" smirk gone and we both knew I had her, "I wanted to make sure the dark energy filling the room hadn't affected anyone and to offer this," pulling out a stone with runes carved into it she gestured to where the other guardians were handing them out to different groups. 'Nice save Cat, by the skin of your teeth, admit it you were enchanted by her' sometimes I truly enjoyed the ability to communicate mentally. 'Whatever you brat, just take the damn thing, I was trying to be nice, my scales aren't as easy to hide among those who have enhanced sight' hearing this I winced mentally 'shit, sorry, thank you for doing this' 'I just wanted them to not be scared of me' breaking the connection Cat turned back to Fleur as if our brief conversation happened and held out the stone. As Fleur took it, Caterina made sure their skin didn't touch, and I knew I'd messed up. With one last look at our group the general turned and walked towards the cursed clan's representatives brushing past Isabelle with a subtle cognize along the way. Looking at Fleur I knew that she would demand an explanation tonight as she activated the runestone and we sat back down with Gabbi and the others. Knowing that it would be a long day as I rested my head on Fleur's shoulder and reminded myself why we agreed to not acknowledge each other as blood when the announcement of the tournament reached the flock hating that I had to pretend that my heart wasn't breaking as Callen was in agony. Closing my eyes I prayed for the first time ages hoping Iaso would hear me.

On Olympus a lone goddess rushed through the streets hoping that the twelve Olympians were still in the throne room. Feeling that something was wrong others followed after her concerned for what the ominous feeling could mean. Pushing open the great doors Iaso caught her breathe ignoring the startled looks as she rushed towards Artemis. "There Isn't much time, we need to call the Moirai, she's barley hanging on." startled Artemis spoke trying to console the haggard Goddess, "Who Iaso, who is hurt? Breathe." catching her breath the goddess of healing looked up into the eyes of the goddess of the hunt and spoke the words that would shake time.
"The fallen daughter of Nox, she's fading quickly, I can barley sense her energy." shocked by hearing this even Zeus lost his anger at the interruption, despite his misgivings about the girl when she had defied him all those years ago he knew she was important to many of those present. "Iaso, where is she, does Nyx know?" he spoke watching the two fearing the answer, knowing that if things took a turn that the Goddess of night could blame him for this. "Somewhere in Scotland, her cousin prayed to me asking for assistance. I do not know if Nyx can sense her distress" hearing that the child of Nemesis had prayed for the first time in years caused many to realize that this was truly dire. Zeus turned and looked towards Hermes and the gathering crowd, "Hermes, quickly summon all the gods and goddesses to Olympus if Sabine dies Nyx will stop at nothing to get her revenge." As the messenger god rushed to carry the request.
Pausing he looked back at Zeus and waited, "Yes Hermes even Hades, Dionysus, Nyx and Lilith as well before they decide to handle it themselves, quickly!" Hermes disappeared as one by one the Greek gods appeared many recalling the last time this particular child came close to death. It had been during the Second world war when Sabine had assisted Calliope Noctis to defeat Darkar's forces after having been called to the past. A son of Zeus had seen the Daughter of Nox her mark visible to all and had wished to seek revenge against the roman scum. Striking her with lighting while her back had been turned helping a young boy free of the rubble from a house destroyed in the blitz. Smelling an increase in Ozone, she had pushed the boy away to safety and crumpled as the lightning had coursed through her. The story of what happened next varies, but all agree that the young fallen had been terrifying as she stormed Olympus, dragging the foolish son of Zeus through the streets in chains, blood trailing in their wake. She had kicked the doors down and flung him before Zeus's throne, cursing them all out in Italian briefly before turning and leaning against the far wall with her eyes closed, tapping her foot lightly against the stone. The resulting confrontation after Nyx had materialized was part of the reason it was decided that the Greek and Roman camps would no longer know of each other's existence.
Watching the growing crowd Hera knew that everything would change. "Sabine Callen Drakos Noctis, don't you dare die now, you swore that you'd fight." This utterance was only heard by the goddesses that had gathered together to console Iaso and Artemis. All recalling the secret meeting they had attended all those years ago when a hidden prophecy was uttered by the Oracle of Delphi under a lunar eclipse. The doors burst open once more as Lilith and Nyx entered the room. The Queen of Hell and the Goddess of Night looked furious and resigned as Hermes and Hecate trailed behind being the last to arrive.
