Training Bakugo was an... interesting, experience for Lunaria.
For one, he soaked information like a sponge, was very diligent, studios, and strong. She had to admit he was an extremely promising student, if it wasn't for his temper and arrogant attitude. Oh well, it wasn't like she hadn't beaten that attitude out of a few hundred of her cadets, this one would be no different.
"Now, when you go to strike you can't push all your body weight into it. You'll have no balance in the rest of you, and leave yourself open in multiple areas." She said as she corrected his posture, ignoring the seething look he gave her.
"Now, I have a fighting dummy right here. Your job is to defeat it in under an hour." She smiled sweetly, relishing in the memories of this exact method of training.
Bakugo Scoffed, "I'll defeat this dummy in under 5 minutes and-" a pale fist slammed into his side launching him into the trees.
"You can't boast in the middle of a fight Ba-ku-go~" she sang. Snickering when he jumped up to scream at her before shrieking and jumping away as the dummy punched at him.
For the better half of an hour Bakugo was continuously beaten, trying and failing to get the upper hand. Of course Luna knew that the dummy was made impossible to beat, and it gave the person training more experience at dodging as well as being able to take and predict hits.
"aaanndd time!" Luna chirped as the dummy fell limp. Bakugo strained as he stood, his pride having taken a harsh beating. "Why was that dummy so hard to beat?" He said after catching his breath.
"Well, this dummy was made by my father. He was a general in the army, and when he realized that regular training wasn't getting the job done he made this. It's a dummy specifically made impossible to beat." She held her hand up when the enraged boy opened his mouth to scream, "This dummy has a 99% effective rate of boosting a persons ability to dodge, withstand powerful strikes, and boosting stamina. You lasted two hours while the men my father trained barely lasted a full hour, you have potential. But, every time you start letting that ego of yours get out of hand I'll be letting dummy here pummel you." She smiled as Bakugos puffed chest deflated.
Pausing from his pouting he turned to the girl, "Did you ever go against it?" He asked, "I did, and before you ask. I lasted 5 hours." She smiled, barely noticing the five hour block slamming him to the ground. 'Damn! She was going easy on me that time she fought me!!' He thought, and for the first time he felt... so inferior.
"Bakugo, I see potential in you. I know having a powerful quirk makes you feel, invincible. But, the greater the power the greater the responsibility. I would know, because I too was arrogant at one point." She said, a bitter and sorrowful look overtook her features. They sat in a comfortable silence, and he didn't have the nerve to ask what changed.
Four months later
The day started out like any other for Lunaria, and Aizawa. Over the few months that they spent together they had formed a sibling like bond, and Lunaria's nightmares had slowly gotten better with therapy. It took a few weeks for him to convince her she needed it.
"Bye Shouta! I'll see you after school!" She said as her, Mimi, and momo left. On the way there they ran into Midoriya, where the twins immediately set up camp in his hair. They conversed on the way to school, stopping to watch a villain get captured and then Mt. lady dropping in. Literally.
Sighing Lunaria dropped into her seat, it had been a hectic few months in this realm. She talked on and off with her parents, trying to figure out ways to get back to her own realm. Of course her father had a thing or two to say about Bakugo and Midoriya... and shouji. She would never admit it, but he was a very handsome looking boy. Sure Bakugo wasn't bad looking himself, but she saw him more as a brother than anything, and Midoriya was just too innocent to ever like in that way.
"Alright class quiet down! Today I'll be handing out papers, and you choose what high school you want for the future... but, I know you all want to go to UA!!" He said throwing the papers to the side as the students activated their quirks in excitement.
"Hey teach, don't lump me in with the rest of these losers." He said as he jumped onto his desk. "I'm the best pro-hero material there is, I aced all the mock tests, and had the highest scores." He stated smugly as there were shouts of protest and murmurs of agreement. Bakugo frowned in annoyance when some of his classmates scooted away their faces a ghostly pale.
'
Danger!' His senses screamed as an ominous aura emanated from behind him, and he winced scolding himself for letting his ego get the best of him. Again. Slowly, painfully slow he turned to meet the smiling face of Lunaria.
"Ba-ku-go~ I'll have dummy ready after school." She sang as the boys face screwed up in terror, "Wait, I didn't mean-" he said before clamping his mouth shut as a terrifying smile grew on her face. 'Right. Shut up and sit down.' He thought before sitting down and looking straight ahead.
'tight leash.' Everyone thought, thinking it wise not to question Lunaria. Lest they suffer the same fate poor Bakugo was about to face, they shivered at the idea. For a certain green boy however, he was in pure awe. Never before had he ever seen his childhood friend cower before anyone, especially a girl.
After the bell
Bakugo exited the school checking every which way he could before sighing. He slightly regretted the words he said to Midoriya, but at the same time. That boy needed a wake up call, or he'd be more than just extra weight. "Katsuki Bakugo!" He froze in place at the voice.
He fell to the floor gasping for air when he felt a fist slam harshly into his gut, "What the hell is wrong with you! I am sorely disappointed in you. I cannot believe you would even dream of saying that to Izuku!" She screamed, her face red with anger as she hoisted the boy up by his collar.
"so what. He needed to hear it, with that kind of attitude he'll get himself killed. He doesn't have a quirk remember." He sneered. "And what if the one who gets him killed is you. Words have more power than any kind of attack, what are you going to do if he does actually kill himself? What then Bakugo?" She asked through gritted teeth, watching the realization start to settle in his face.
Dropping him she stepped over his body, "Come with me. I have something to show you." She said grimly as she walked forward. A tense silence fell over the two as they walked before they stopped in a clearing. "Why are we here?" Bakugo asked not recognizing the clearing they were in.
"There is something I've been wanting to tell you, but I never knew how to. So I'll start by showing you why what you said made me so. So angry." She said before pulling out a black pearl, "This is a memory pearl, where I come from we store memories we want to cherish and memories that taught us something profound. This memory, this one taught me how powerful a persons words are," she said throwing it into the clearing. Before Bakugo could say anything the pearl burst open engulfing them in an inky black.

"Luna! Hey what are you up to this afternoon!" A younger Luna turned to greet a young girl. "Uhm I'm not doing anything Yuno, what's up?" She asked the bouncing girl."Well how do you feel about going to the cafe that just opened?" She asked brimming with excitement. Luna rolled her eyes playfully before agreeing. On the way there they chatted abouttheir day at the academy, "Honestly Yuno, anybody that has such a weak talent like Kei needs to just drop out. Weakness brings death, and only power can succeed." Luna scoffed, not noticing when Yuno stopped, her gaze downcast in slight anger."So what, just becausesome of us aren't as strong as the "royal" family we can't do great things? Not all of us had a silver spoon stuck in our mouths like you Taneisha!" Yuno spat, and Lunaria let her anger and pride cloud her judgement.
"I wasn'tborn with a silver spoon Yuno! I actually had to witness the war upfront. All I've seen are the weak people getting slaughtered, it's because of us that people like you are even alive!" She screamed back in equal hostility."I'd rather be dead than get saved by an arrogant pompous bitch like you!" Yuno said as tears pricked her eyes."Then why don't you just go die, and maybe you'llbereincarnated into a royal like ME!" Lunaria screamed back before gasping and clamping her hands over her mouth.
Yuno flinched back in horror, and hurt, "Yuno... Yuno wait!" Lunaria tried to stop the girl as she ran away. When Lunaria got home she knew she would do everything in her powerto make it up to Yuno. So she began to throw some ofYunos favorite things together in a basket, and started on a heartfelt apology letter.
The next morning.
Luna stood before a house hesitating, 'what if she hates me now?' She thought, before shaking her head and knocking on the door. The door opened and Yunos mom smiled at the girl before inviting her in, "I think Yuno is still asleep. Silly child, she probably stayed up late reading again." Yunos mom giggled. With a racing heart Lunaria ascended the stairs and stood before the girls room.
Wiping her sweating palms on her pants she opened the door slowly, "Hey Yuno, Listen. I wanted to apologize for yesterday, I didn't mean any-" The gift basket toppled to the floor as Lunaria stared in pure horror at what she saw before her."YUNNOOOOOO!!!" She screamed in horror as she shakily moved forward not even hearing Yunos mom racing up the stairs, "Luna what happened!" Before she too screamed in utter horror.
They both raced to untie the rope that held the lifeless body of Yuno, "My baby! Yuno please, noo!" Her mom cried into the girls lifeless body. Luna sat staring into the lifelessorbs of Yuno as she tried to process what was happening."This is all my fault." She whispered as Yunos mom screamed into Yunos hair. "Keiko, move. I can. I can fix this." She said as she tried to reign in her roaring emotions.
Keiko trembled as she moved back sobbing into her hands as she mourned over her daughter.Luna grunted in pain as she pulled her life orb from her chest, trembling as she held the bright orb. 'Please work!' She thought as she placed the orb on Yunos chest, "From me to you, you to me. We are one, bonded together by the orb that is of me." She chanted as a light aura surrounded Yuno, Luna continued to chant the same line feeling herself grow tired, as Yunos face began to color a rosy pink and her eyes began to sparkle with life. With a gasp Yuno sat up looking around her.
She stared at her mother's tear stained face, then at the basket, before her eyes settled on Yuno. She felt confusion cloud her mind before she looked down noticing the orb settled in her lap before her face snapped up to Lunarias.
"You. You used your, orb on. Me?" She asked slightly stupefied. With an anguished cry Luna barreled into Yuno as cried, "Don't ever do that again. You stupid girl! I'm so sorry for what I said yesterday but please. Please don't ever do that again!" She cried in anguish.
"But, but you said-" Luna held her hand up as she tried to regain her breath, "I know what I said, and I was wrong for it. I just, I've seen my father lose so many friends and I was so terrified of seeing you go or any other of my friends go. I should have never said what I said, and I really do hope you can forgive me." She said as she felt shame weight heavily down on her. Keiko had Yuno in a fierce hug as she whispered sweet nothings to the girl.
"Well I mean. You were right in a small way," Yuno said before coughing, "Uhm how?" Luna asked dumbfounded. "Weeelll technically since you used your orb on me I am part of you, thus making a moj part royal." Yuno said.
"THATS WHAT YOU GOT GROM WHAT I/SHE SAID!!!" Keiko and Lunaria said before slamming their fists down on her head.
(End of memory.)
Bakugo sat in shocked silence as he attempted to wrap his mind around the memory. Of course he didn't want Deku to do what that Yuno girl did, but at the same time he in a way didn't want the boy to get his hopes up either.
"Wait, you're a royal!!" He screamed as the dots connected for him. He saw her wince slightly before turning to him, "I am Lunaria Taneisha, next in line to be Queen of the fairy realm." She said reintroducing herself to Bakugo as he sat in stunned silence.
"Is that why... Is that why you hate it when I act the way I do? Because you did the same?" He asked, "don't look at me like that you acted like me." He snarked at the annoyed look she gave him.
"Yes Bakugo, but one more thing. You didn't let me finish. I am 16,000 years old, and I am a war general. So I know a thing or two about how arrogance can get others killed on the battlefield." She said grimly.
"YOUR 16000 YEARS OLD!!!" Bakugo screamed, before wheezing when Luna slammed her fist into his gut in annoyance. "Yes Bakugo if you must know I am 16000 years old in fairy age, but for us fairies that would be about teenage years in human years. However, I've been de-aged to 14 and I just turned 15." She said as the boy recovered from his fetal position.
"So what, you're trying to find a way back to your realm then?" He asked as she nodded in confirmation.
"If you have other realm pearls why can't you just find one realm closest to yours and just travel the rest of the way." He said, looking up to meet her blank stare. She stared at him like that for a few minutes before pulling at her hair, "WHY DIDNT I THINK OF THAT FIRST!!??!??" She screamed to the sky.
