'Pregnant, pregnant, pregnant….' The words continued to repeat themselves in her mind. She had done so many tests and they all had come back with the same results. The old man looked at her with concern and pity, she could tell that if she continued to ask for tests, he would gladly continue to help her until she was ready to accept it. Strangely, that was a value that she thought none of the Horde workers would have.

The old man looked at the girl as she sat on the bed still trying to understand. He turned to the shelves behind him, and grabbed a bottle from the shelf. He returned to her, extended his hand and offered her the bottle, "Child… these are vitamins for your… condition" he said softly as to not scare her, "of course if what you want is to termina-".

"No!" Catra interjected, a hand landing on her stomach "I—I just need some time to think."

The doctor nodded in understanding, "Come back in six weeks, I'll check on your condition then."

Catra looked up at him, a flash of gratefulness crossing her eyes. She took the bottle of vitamins and nodded at him, "Thank you."

After waiting for the old man to remove the IV from her arm, she made her way back toward her room. Throwing herself on the bed, she laid a hand on her stomach, "You idiot, you stupid idiot!". She looked to the side, and seeing a drawing of her and Adora, she mumbled, "I wish…" before she remembered how easily Adora walked away from her and she angrily ripped the drawing off the wall. She didn't need Adora! Adora left her, she threw away any chance she had to be a mother to her child the moment she walked away from her! "Ugh, but she didn't know..." Catra said to herself.

Her baby would never know that Adora was their parent. And she was certain that Adora was the one who created this child with her, she had no doubt about it. As to how, she didn't quite know but she promised herself that she would not let Adora hurt this baby like she hurt her. Even if that meant keeping it a secret forever.

"Catra." Shadow Weaver entered the room surprising Catra.

Scrambling out of bed, Catra glared at her, "What do you want?"

Shadow Weaver looked down at her "Impertinent as always, I see. With such a grand failure under your belt, it would benefit you to show more respect, cadet."

"I did exactly what you told me to do. You were the one that didn't warn us that there would be princesses there!"

Shadow Weaver stepped close menacingly, "You had but a simple task, bring Adora back, and you failed!"

Catra's eyes narrowed, "News Flash old lady, if Adora wanted to come home, she'd be here right now! Adora's gone! She defected." She didn't know if those words were meant more for herself or Shadow Weaver.

"LIES!" Shadow Weaver screamed making the lights go out, "Enough of your insubordination, you will answer to a higher power, lord Hordak himself!"

Catra's ears recoiled as the fear of facing Hordak crosses her mind. She instinctively wrapped her arm around her stomach.

Shadow Weaver throws Catra on the floor as she enters lords Hordak throne room, "Kneel!" she said angrily. Catra quickly doing as told, Shadow Weaver continued, "I gave her a simple mission to bring force captain Adora back to the Fright Zone and she failed, suffering an incredibly humiliating defeat."

Lord Hordak looked down at Shadow Weaver, laying a hand on his chin, "So you are still down a force captain?"

"Yes, my lord, but rest assured, nothing will stop us from finding Adora and bringing her back."

Hordak glared at her, "No, you will elect another force captain and resume normal operations."

Shadow Weaver recoiled in shock "But, my lord! Adora is the only viable candidate.

"You have Catra. Was she not your ward, as well?"

Catra's eyes widened at the statement, excitement and a bit of fear forming in the pit of her stomach, she felt like throwing up.

"She's nothing but a disappointment!" the tall dark lady said quickly, as to convince him otherwise.

"If you have failed to condition her properly, then you have nobody to blame but yourself."

"But, my lord—"

"Enough!" Hordak said loudly, "I have made my decision. Rise, force captain Catra."

He threw the badge down at Catra's feet, she eyed it skeptically before grabbing it. She looked over at Shadow Weaver who glared at her, and she could tell the dark lady was angry at the decision. Her smile grew as she looked down at the badge in her hand.

Catra laughed at herself as she walked into the locker rooms, she had just finished raving about herself becoming a force captain to the others. Lonnie, Kyle, and Rogelio were all shocked when she showed her bright new badge, with Kyle being nice enough to congratulate her. "You see, little baby? Your mama is a popular lady" she whispered with a giggle.

For some reason she had started to speak to the life developing in her stomach, as if they could hear and understand everything she was saying, it just felt right. Her eyes wandered toward the locker that was Adora's, a wave of sadness hitting her but she quickly pushed it down. She did hear from the old man that her hormones were going to go wild but she did try her best to bury her feelings as much as possible.

Feeling a presence behind her, she averted her eyes from Adora's locker and closed her own before turning around and looking at Shadow Weaver, "What do you need, Shadow Weaver? Ooh, are you coming to give me my first mission?" She smirked toward the dark lady.

But Shadow Weaver only glared at her, "You will explain how you lost to force captain Adora."

Catra groans, rolling her eyes. Could she live a moment without somebody mentioning Adora? "I already told you everything I know about what happened with Adora!"

"I know you are lying. You have to be lying. What happened to Adora, what did you do?!"

Catra's eyes widened with sadness before anger started to settle in, "What did I do? She left us! She left me! You ever stop to consider maybe Adora is not as loyal as you think!" The audacity of Shadow Weaver to think that she, Catra, did anything to Adora was amazing. 'I didn't even get to tell her that we are having a baby together, she abandoned me, abandoned us!' Her mind raced a mile a minute.

"I know you are lying, I will learn the truth, Catra, even if I have to drag it from your—" Shadow Weaver started to recoil in pain as electricity visibly started to course through her. She quickly pushed Catra away, knocking her against the lockers.

Catra grunted as she landed against the lockers, causing her to instinctively protect her stomach. She supported herself on the lockers, waiting for the pain to stop but it didn't. The pain had started to center around her stomach quickly. Panicked, she swiftly made her way out of the locker room.
