The old man checked Catra's stomach, as he put pressure on certain spots, she winced, "Hey! Be careful."

The old man, who she discovered was named Morat, hummed to himself in thought. He released a bit of magic from his fingertips while pressing against Catra's abdomen. He then nodded in relief, "Well, the little bundle seems to be growing well. I see you are taking the vitamins I gave you."

Catra let out a sigh of relief. She had rushed here as soon as she realized the pain in her stomach was not going away. She was afraid that both Adora and her baby…. No—that her baby was gone. Her eyes started to form tears as she couldn't control the sniffles. 'Damn hormones!' she though angrily.

Morat looked at her with concern before speaking, "That doesn't mean you are completely out of danger." He hesitated when Catra looked at him with blurry eyes, but continued, "Heavy amounts of stress can be dangerous for the baby and for you."

Stress? What stress? If anything, her life was going better than expected! Finally, she was a force captain. Other than Shadow Weaver questioning her and the love of her life abandoning her with a baby, she was completely fine. Life was finally turning over for her; she was a force captain after all!

The gray-haired man continued speaking when the girl didn't answer him, "I am concerned for your mental health, this is something you should speak with the baby's father about… to help you and give you support during this process."

"Father?", she blinked up at him.

Morat blinked back at her before rubbing his chin in thought, "Or… I guess… mother? It hasn't been unheard of for two women to have a baby."

"It's not?!" Catra said surprised, making Morat chuckle.

"No, it's not." He smiled softly at her, "There are plenty of Horde members whose parents are of the same sex. In fact, even our most famous horde captain, Scorpia, has two mothers. Wherever love is involved, nothing is impossible."

"Love.", she mumbled under her breath. Yes, she did love Adora at some point, didn't she? Catra dug her claws into the bed as she held on to it. Love, it was not something she felt anymore. If anything, she has this deep burning rage for the blond that abandoned her, the one who left her behind.

Clearing his throat, Morat interrupted Catra's thoughts. It seemed he had touched a sensitive subject, "Anyway, I would recommend taking it easy. I know that force captains are at the front of the fight with the princesses but I do recommend for now to do the more administrative duties…"

"What!? NO!", Catra got up from the bed. There was no way that she was going to stay behind anywhere. Especially not when she had just become a force captain. She could finally see the world, she was determined not to let anything hold her back, "I must go out there, I will not stay behind in this frigid place!"

Morat followed her as he saw her moving away and towards the door, "Catra you are in a sensitive state, if you accumulate any more stress, you could lose the baby."

Catra's eyes glistened and her grip loosened on the edge of the door, as his words sunk in. She looked back at the doctor and then down at her stomach laying a soft hand on it… she was finally a force captain and yet, somehow, Adora was ruining that for her. "I don't care", her grip hardened again, "I have to go." She quickly ran away, before Morat could say anything back to her.

Since she had spoken with the old man, Catra had been absent mindedly wandering through the hallways. Her hand still hadn't left her stomach since she ran away from the room. She didn't ask for this at all! She didn't ask to be alone… She didn't force Adora to abandon her… Why was she always seen like a second option? And now that she was actually important to the Horde, all that could go to shit over something she never asked to happen!

Her anger welled inside her until it broke out, her fist made contact with the wall, and she recoiled in pain when her stomach cramped up. She backed up, steadying herself against the wall, taking deep breaths to calm down the baby growing in her stomach, "You are causing trouble for me already". She chuckled, "I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree after all." She caressed her abdomen, everything seeming to calm down.

She pulled herself together and combed her hair back, letting out a sigh. Before she could continue walking a cadet ran up to her and saluted her, "Force captain Catra, Shadow Weaver is looking for you, you are to report to her immediately."

Catra sighed, "What can this old woman want now?" She grumbled as she made her way toward Shadow Weaver's room.

Walking into the room, Catra approached Shadow Weaver from behind. She seemed to be looking at something in her magical reflecting pool.

"Adora is in Seaworthy. I'm giving you one more chance to bring her back."

Catra blinked, her ears flickering in distress when she thought about Adora as well as the words Morat had said, "Uh… didn't Hordak just order for you to stop going after Adora?"

Shado Weaver glared at her, "And who is going to tell him? You?"

Crossing her arms Catra glared at her, "Fine, it's about time you started treating me like a force captain anyway. I'll bring her back."

At the same time, her brain was screaming at her to reject this mission but she's been always good at ignoring her emotions. She turns around to leave.

Shadow Weaver's chilling voice came from behind, "Not. So. Fast. You won't be going alone. I've been approached by our Horde Doctor and been told about… your… affliction." Catra could tell that Shadow Weaver's voice had come out with a bit of disgust, "You'll be joined by force captain Scorpia."

Footsteps thundered down the hall as the person in question came through the door and immediately looked at Catra. "Kitty!" Scorpia said excitedly before hugging her, "Just so you know, I'm a hugger."

Catra grunts and squeaks as she struggled to get away from Scorpia's grasp until finally, she leaped out of her hold, "Is this some sort of joke?!"

The dark lady glared at her again, "Scorpia will be there to assist you, unfortunately Morat was quite concerned for your affliction. Also, she will make sure that you are kept in line…" She turned away from Catra, "It seems that your promiscuous ways didn't stop even after Adora was gone."

A flash of hurt shows across Catra's eyes, while Scorpia worryingly looked between the two of them. Clenching her hand in to a fist, enough to draw blood, Catra bit her lip before speaking. She calmed herself, she didn't care what Shadow Weaver thought about her or her "promiscuous" activities.

"Fine, but you are at least giving us a vehicle, right?"
