The zombies approached Francine, but she still couldn't find the box with the key in it. It was the fifth day, and she didn't want to continue. Her tattered clothing and bloodshot eyes destroyed her being. She knelt on the floor, her mind blank, as the zombies grabbed her, each one wanting a piece of Francine.
I failed…
The zombies sunk their teeth into her, drawing blood from the wounds. They couldn't get enough of her, scratching and biting every part of her body. Francine instincts screamed at her to fight back and not give up, but she couldn't bring herself to fight back anymore. Her life for the past month has been nothing but a living hell. Her face was skinned and mangled, and her once feminine voice now sounded like a young man. She's a freak now. How could she even explain to her loved ones what happened to her? The final zombie chomped into her neck, striking a vein. The hoard of zombies all walked away from Francine. She keeled over and held her stomach. One of the zombies somehow slashed her stomach open.
"Help…" Francine whimpered out a plea for help, but there was no one. Only the cold ground to comfort her last moments.
A green portal appeared before Francine and Shang Tsung stepped out. He looked down at Francine with smug.
"I suppose the undead have feasted on you. A shame, I had thought you would succeed." Shang Tsung noticed the laceration. "Hm?"
Francine's mind slipped from reality, and her eyes fluttered momentarily.
"I'm sorry–" Francine said.
"There is no need," Shang Tsung squatted down and removed Francine's hands from the wound. Her guts spilled out from this wound.
"Kill me…" Francine grabbed Shang Tsung's hands as she shook violently, tears streaming down. "I cant… go back…"
Shang Tsung soothed Francine by patting her hair. Francine's eyes fluttered again as she let out an animalistic groan. Her grip on Shang Tsung's hands slipped, and her body was now limp. Shang Tsung got up and went through the portal. He returned with a shovel and dug a hole. The thought of reanimating Francine's corpse for a second time wasn't worth it.
