No, I'm not stopping with the production of my other two stories. This idea popped into my head during December of 2023 with my idea of a Naruto: What If series. This was going to be another series I wrote but ultimately decided against it. Let me know if you wanted to know what that 11 chapter series would've been about. This was going to be one of the chapters, but decided to rework it and make it a full blown story. Recently, The Amagi (great YouTube channel btw) put a video out on the subject at hand. This got me thinking and the creative juices started flowing. (This why my stories are on standby rn, bad writers block). But I figured this would be good to just jot down rq. Anyways without further ado,

Arc 1: Chunin Exams
Chapter One: The Fusion
Sasuke Uchiha, Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, and Kakashi Hatake were assigned a critical mission to the Land of Whirlpools in search of an ancient relic, a task that Jiraiya had mentioned to Hiruzen Sarutobi. With the Chunin Exams approaching, Kakashi saw this as an ideal opportunity for team building.
The Land of Whirlpools was a desolate, ruined expanse, a once-majestic village now reduced to a graveyard of crumbled structures and overgrown vegetation. The air was thick with dust and the scent of decay, mingling with the faint, salty tang of the nearby ocean. The remnants of ancient architecture, twisted and broken, stood as eerie silhouettes against a sky perpetually clouded in a somber gray. The sea's waves crashed relentlessly against the shore, their rhythmic roar a reminder of the land's tragic history.
As Team Seven navigated the desolation, Sasuke dug through the rubble with determined urgency, his mind racing with thoughts of the past. "I can't believe the dope actually had a clan," he mused, reflecting on the recent information about Naruto's heritage. The realization was unsettling, a reminder of how interconnected their lives had become. As he sifted through debris, his fingers brushed against something peculiar—a golden box with intricate designs.
Opening the box, he saw a pair of purple earrings with golden clasps. The inscription read, "A great power when used in unison." Sasuke's eyes narrowed in curiosity. These look like my mother's, he thought, a pang of nostalgia hitting him. The earrings' peculiar design and inscription intrigued him, but he soon dismissed the thought, focusing instead on the ancient relic they were meant to find.
Sakura and Naruto approached, their voices carrying over the desolate landscape. Sakura's eyes lit up when she saw the earrings. "Those earrings look beautiful on you!" she exclaimed, her voice a rare note of enthusiasm in the bleak environment.
Naruto, ever competitive, scowled in jealousy. "Pff, please," he huffed, unable to mask his irritation.
Sasuke smirked, his annoyance evident. "You're just jealous they wouldn't look good on you, dope!"
In a sudden burst of mischief, Naruto lunged at Sasuke and yanked one of the earrings off. Without hesitation, he clipped it onto his own ear, ignoring Sasuke's protests. A sudden, powerful surge of energy enveloped them, causing both to cry out as they were pulled together, a blinding flash of light erupting from their bodies.
Kakashi, who had been observing from a distance, noticed the flash and sprinted towards his team. As the light faded, he was met with an astonishing sight. The familiar forms of Naruto and Sasuke had vanished, replaced by a single, unfamiliar boy standing in their place.
Sakura and Kakashi stared in disbelief. The boy's appearance bore striking resemblance to both Naruto and Sasuke. The boy had long spiky black hair and blonde bangs. The hair was slightly longer than Naruto's. His face was round similar to Naruto's but kept the distinct look of Sasuke's jawline, and the trademark whiskers still appeared, but only having two marks instead of Naruto's three. His eyes were the biggest change, they were an indigo color. His clothes featured a high collared jumpsuit in a Dark blue with white accents similar to Naruto's Orange and Blue jumpsuit. His undershirt was a bright Orange color. His skin color had became a mix between Naruto's sun-kissed color and Sasuke's paler complexion.
"What are you guys staring at?" the boy demanded, his voice a curious blend of Naruto's brashness and Sasuke's aloofness.
"Sasuke?" Sakura's voice trembled with hope and confusion.
"Who are you?" Kakashi's tone was firm, his curiosity tempered by concern.
The boy gazed at his reflection in a nearby pool of water, his face a mirror of shock and bewilderment. "This is so weird," he muttered, struggling to grasp his new identity.
Kakashi quickly questioned what had transpired, "so how did this come to be?"
Sakura thought back on the events and realized that this boy was still wearing the purple earrings. "Look," she pointed at the earrings, "those earrings were originally on Sasuke's ears, but Naruto snatched one off and put it on his ear. Afterwards they just smashed into each other," Sakura had explained to their Sensei.
Kakashi pondered for a moment, interesting. I wonder if this combination has access to Sasuke's Sharingan or the Kyubi. Kakashi thought. "Can you lift your shirt and try to Channel chakra?" He asked the boy.
As the boy channeled the chakra, the seal appeared and his Sharingan eyes appeared. Sakura blushed at seeing the abdomen of the fusion. Meanwhile Kakashi nodded. "Do you feel weird?" he simply asked.
"Hmm, now that I think about it, I feel as normal as I could possibly be, but it feels different too. I don't feel like myself, well I mean Naruto or Sasuke, but at the same time I still feel mine, I mean their presence." The boy explained.
"okay, well this mission is going to have to be a failure and we need to head back to see the Hokage. To avoid any questions is it possible for you to make a shadow clone and each of you transform into Naruto and Sasuke?" Kakashi asked.
The boy nodded and made a shadow clone. Immediately both boys transformed making Sasuke and Naruto. Unfortunately, the two were different than they were meant to be. Sasuke's transformation featured a smile and a carefree demeanor, while the Naruto featured a stoic expresssion and serious eyes. Kakashi shrugged and the team went back to the village.
Upon returning to the village, Team Seven made their way to Hokage Tower. The atmosphere was tense with uncertainty, the recent events casting a long shadow over their usual camaraderie. The village's once familiar streets seemed to be a blur as they hurried towards the Hokage's office.
Inside, Hiruzen Sarutobi awaited them, his face etched with concern and curiosity. Kakashi, ever composed, began recounting the strange turn of events. "Lord Hokage, we were on a mission to the Land of Whirlpools. During the search for an ancient relic, Sasuke and Naruto inadvertently used a pair of mystical earrings, resulting in… this fusion," Kakashi said, gesturing to the singular boy standing beside him.
Hiruzen's eyes narrowed with intrigue. "Fusion, you say?" His voice was a mix of disbelief and deep contemplation as he tried to comprehend the gravity of the situation at hand.
The boy, whose new identity was still taking shape, grinned widely. "Yep! I feel incredible!" His voice was a blend of Naruto's exuberance and Sasuke's detached confidence, a strange but powerful combination.
Kakashi nodded, acknowledging the boy's enthusiasm but also the inherent complexity of the situation. "It's difficult to gauge all the consequences, but this fusion seems to amplify their shared traits, including their arrogance. It's almost as if their combined strengths are more than just the sum of their parts."
"It's not arrogance if you can back it up!" the boy retorted, his tone unmistakably Naruto's, full of brash confidence.
Hiruzen, now fully engaged, asked, "So, what should we call you?"
The boy, who had been contemplating this since leaving the Land of Whirlpools, finally spoke with a tone of finality. "I think Sasuto Uchimaki represents me best," he said, his voice a harmonious blend of Naruto's enthusiasm and Sasuke's resoluteness.
Hiruzen nodded thoughtfully. "Sasuto Uchimaki. It has a strong ring to it. Now, regarding the Chunin Exams, Kakashi, what are your thoughts on how this fusion might perform?"
Kakashi observed Sasuto carefully, weighing his words. "Lord Hokage, based on chakra alone, Sasuto seems to be at least at the high Jonin level. The fusion appears to have significantly amplified their power."
Sasuto's face broke into an arrogant smirk, a reflection of Naruto's bravado and Sasuke's self-assuredness. But the smirk faded as Kakashi continued.
"However, this arrogance could become a liability. It might make him overconfident and more vulnerable," Kakashi warned, his tone serious.
Hiruzen's gaze returned to Sasuto, scrutinizing him with a mix of caution and hope. "Alright, I'm willing to allow you to participate in the Chunin Exams under specific conditions. You'll need to perform a Blood Clone Jutsu. It's a dangerous technique, created by the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju. It halves your strength but can save your life if you're severely injured. Given you still have the Nine-Tails' chakra, you should be able to recover from it."
Sasuto's eyes widened slightly at the mention of the forbidden technique. "I understand, Lord Hokage," he said, determination coloring his voice.
Kakashi stepped in, explaining the hand signs for the technique. Sasuto, with his Sharingan activated, quickly absorbed the complex sequence of movements. With focused precision, he performed the Blood Clone Jutsu, a crimson clone materializing beside him. The chakra level of the fusion now resembled that of a mid-level Chunin.
Following the creation of the blood clone, Sasuto and the clone executed the Transformation Jutsu. The clone morphed into an exact replica of Sasuke, while Sasuto assumed Naruto's form with uncanny accuracy. The transformation was flawless, reflecting the deep integration of their fused traits.
Hiruzen's expression softened slightly, though his eyes remained sharp. "Very well. You'll be allowed to participate in the Chunin Exams. During the third round, you may reveal your true self if necessary. Until then, maintain your cover and use this opportunity to demonstrate your capabilities."
Sasuto, Kakashi, and the rest of the team left the Hokage's office, the weight of the upcoming trials heavy on their shoulders. The prospect of the Chunin Exams now carried an added layer of complexity and uncertainty, but Sasuto's newfound confidence and strength offered a glimmer of hope amidst the challenges ahead.
The following day, the Naruto and Sasuke transformations accidentally crossed paths at Konoha's famed ramen stand, Ichiraku's Ramen. The air was filled with the rich aroma of steaming broth, fresh noodles, and the mouthwatering scent of grilled pork. The stand was bustling with villagers savoring their meals, the clamor of cheerful chatter and clinking bowls creating a warm, inviting atmosphere.
The Sasuke clone, with a hint of annoyance in his voice, remarked, "Damn, this insatiable urge to consume ramen is relentless!" Despite the perfect imitation of Sasuke's demeanor, the boy's inherent Naruto side couldn't fully suppress his love for the dish.
Naruto, catching sight of the Sasuke clone's disdain, was immediately offended. "How dare you disrespect ramen!" he shot back, his voice full of indignation. The passion in his voice made it clear just how much he valued his favorite food.
Sakura, who had been following them, observed the exchange with growing concern. She noted the differences in behavior between the transformed clones and tried to piece together the nuances of Sasuto's complex personality.
After consuming an astonishing 100 bowls of ramen between them—an impressive feat that left Sakura both amazed and slightly horrified—they settled the bill. "Let's train!" Naruto's enthusiasm was palpable as he bounded towards the training ground. The usually stoic Sasuke clone, caught up in the excitement, allowed a rare smile to break through. "Yes, I can't wait to see how this goes!" The two boys sprinted off, with Sakura struggling to keep pace behind them.
As they arrived at the training ground, Sasuto absorbed the blood clone, reverting to his original form. "They didn't say I had to stay like that until the exams," the rebellious Naruto side quipped, a smirk playing on his lips.
Feeling their true power surge, Sasuto embraced the Sasuke side's focus and determination. "With this power, I can finally defeat Itachi!" Sasuke's burning resolve echoed in his thoughts. The speed and agility with which Sasuto moved were astonishing, leaving Sakura in awe as she watched him effortlessly create 200 shadow clones.
Kakashi appeared, taking in the display of Sasuto's prowess with a mixture of pride and concern. "This is impressive," Kakashi remarked, his eyes narrowing in evaluation. "But you seem a bit too confident."
Sasuto's arrogance was on full display. "I feel incredible!" he exclaimed, his voice brimming with self-assuredness. "Hey, Kakashi-sensei, I think I could probably take you down!"
Kakashi's expression remained unreadable behind his mask. "As tempting as that sounds, we have a scheduled check-up for you at the clinic. Sakura, you have the rest of the week to prepare for the Chunin Exams. Sasuto will be busy with his appointments and moving preparations."
Sasuto groaned in frustration but followed Kakashi to the clinic. The murmurs of villagers, filled with curiosity and gossip, brushed against him like a distant hum. Ignoring them, Sasuto focused on the day ahead.
At the clinic, the sterile scent of antiseptic filled the air. A nurse directed Sasuto to a room, where she took his blood pressure and asked a series of questions. Sasuto answered with a mix of impatience and compliance. The nurse left, and moments later, a doctor entered, his demeanor calm but professional.
"We'll be conducting a simple eye test, reflex test, X-rays, and a mental evaluation," the doctor explained, his voice steady. Sasuto sighed but acquiesced, going through each procedure with a resigned acceptance.
The doctor's amazement grew as he reviewed the results. "Remarkable," he said, impressed by Sasuto's performance. "You're fit for duty. I'm clearing you for your ninja responsibilities."
Kakashi's eye smile conveyed approval as he addressed Sasuto. "What's next?" Sasuto asked, his curiosity piqued.
Kakashi outlined the next steps. "Tomorrow, we'll visit the Konoha Bank to set up a new account for you. Lord Third decided that Naruto's apartment is no longer necessary, so you'll be moving into Sasuke's place. Pack up your things and get settled. If you ever defuse, we'll handle that situation as it comes. For the next two days, we'll focus on training, helping you adjust to your combined abilities as well as your individual strengths."
Sasuto nodded, the weight of the coming days settling on his shoulders. He prepared himself mentally for the intense week ahead, knowing that the upcoming Chunin Exams would test not only his newfound abilities but also his resolve and adaptability.
A few days later
The day of the Chunin Exams dawned with an air of anticipation and excitement. As the clock ticked down to the start of the exams, Kakashi had instructed Team Seven to be present an hour early. Sakura, accompanied by Sasuke and Naruto, made their way to the exam hall, their nerves tinged with a mix of apprehension and determination.
The exam hall was a bustling hive of activity, with shinobi from various villages milling about, exchanging stories and sizing up their competition. The air was thick with the scent of sweat and anticipation, and the sound of excited chatter reverberated through the cavernous space.
As Team Seven arrived on the second floor, they were greeted by a commotion near the edge of the hall. A crowd had gathered, and from their position, Sakura, Sasuke, and Naruto could make out the outlines of a skirmish. Pushing through the throng, they saw a boy lying on the ground, his face marred by fresh bruises. Standing triumphantly over him was an older boy, a self-satisfied smirk plastered across his face.
Naruto, ever curious, leaned in and asked, "What's going on here?"
One of the bystanders explained that the bruised boy had been challenged and defeated in a spar. Just then, the defeated boy's gaze shifted towards Sakura, and his eyes widened with sudden excitement.
"Oh my goodness!" he exclaimed, springing to his feet with a surprising speed. The bruises on his face seemed to vanish as he approached her with an earnest, somewhat awkward grin. "I'm Rock Lee! How about being my girlfriend?"
Sakura was taken aback, her cheeks flushing with a mix of embarrassment and confusion. Before she could respond, Naruto, ever the protector of his teammate, interjected. "She's already got her eyes on someone," he said, trying to deflect the attention.
Sakura was about to scold Naruto for his interference when she remembered the influence of Sasuke's personality on his own. Instead, she sighed and focused on Rock Lee.
Rock Lee's attention shifted to Sasuke, and his eyes lit up with determination. "You must be Sasuke Uchiha! I challenge you to a friendly spar!"
Sasuke, a confident smirk curling his lips, accepted the challenge without hesitation. The two boys descended the stairs, with Naruto and Sakura trailing closely behind. The excitement in the air was palpable, and the crowd followed eagerly, forming a large circle around the makeshift arena.
Sasuke, his eyes narrowing in focus, activated his Sharingan. The crimson eyes flared with an intense, ominous light. As the Sharingan's power surged, Naruto's eyes also changed, mirroring Sasuke's unique dojutsu. The linked vision between them created a surprising synergy, amplifying their perception of the fight.
Rock Lee wasted no time, launching into a series of rapid taijutsu attacks. His movements were a blur of speed and precision, each strike aimed with impeccable accuracy. Sasuke met Lee's onslaught with a combination of quick reflexes and strategic counters. The Sharingan allowed him to predict Lee's moves with uncanny precision, making the clash of their techniques all the more intense.
The fight was a spectacle of high-speed combat and skillful maneuvers. Sasuke and Rock Lee exchanged powerful blows, neither willing to concede an inch. The arena buzzed with the crowd's collective energy, their cheers and gasps punctuating the fierce exchange.
Despite Sasuke's skill and Lee's impressive speed, neither could gain a definitive upper hand. Each fighter matched the other's movements and countered with equal ferocity. Just as Lee was about to land a decisive blow, Sasuke unleashed a powerful Chidori, forcing both combatants to leap back, their chests heaving with exertion.
Might Guy, Rock Lee's mentor, stepped in just as the two boys were about to resume their fight. With a commanding presence, he declared, "That's enough! The fight ends in a draw!"
The crowd erupted in applause, their excitement still palpable as they processed the thrilling display of skill. Naruto, observing the fight with a newfound appreciation, realized that without the linked vision provided by the Sharingan, Sasuke might have been overwhelmed by Lee's relentless assault.
Might Guy's sharp eyes, having noticed Naruto's Sharingan, narrowed in curiosity. He decided to save his questions for his rival, Kakashi, whom he would confront later.
As the group made their way to the classroom for the first stage of the Chunin Exams, a palpable sense of anticipation hung in the air. The hallways of the exam building were bustling with nervous chatter and the occasional clatter of footsteps echoing against the stone walls. The scent of fresh ink from the examination papers mixed with the faint aroma of freshly brewed tea from a nearby stall, creating an atmosphere that was both exciting and slightly overwhelming.
Once inside the classroom, Naruto turned to Sakura, his voice animated as he recounted the thrilling encounter with Rock Lee. "You should've seen it, Sakura! Sasuke and Rock Lee went all out. It was amazing. I mean, did you notice how Sasuke's Sharingan linked with my vision? They were practically reading each other's moves!"
Sakura's eyes widened in astonishment. "Linked vision? That's incredible. I had no idea they could do that."
Before Sakura could ask more, a group of familiar faces approached, their presence a welcome distraction. Kiba, with his usual cocky grin, led the pack, followed by his teammates Shino, Hinata, Ino, Choji, and Shikamaru. Their casual banter filled the room with a sense of camaraderie and familiarity.
"Yo!" Kiba greeted, his voice ringing out cheerfully. "How's it going?"
Naruto responded enthusiastically, "Hey guys! Just talking about the crazy stuff that happened with Rock Lee."
As they exchanged stories and updates, a new figure appeared—a boy wearing glasses and a rather serious expression. "Hey, keep it down, will you?" he said, his tone clipped but not unkind. "You're attracting attention. You're fresh Genin, after all."
The group looked at him, curiosity piqued. "Who are you?" Kiba asked, eyebrows raised in curiosity.
The boy adjusted his glasses, pulling out a stack of cards from his pocket. "I'm Kabuto Yakushi," he said, flipping through the cards with practiced ease. "I know a lot about you. For example, Kiba Inuzuka—average grades, high skill for a fresh Genin."
The group stared, amazed at how much Kabuto seemed to know about the academy scores.
Kabuto continued, "You see that team over there?" He pointed towards a group from the Hidden Mist village. "Those guys are notorious for their ruthless efficiency. And over there," he pointed at the Sand village's Genin team, "that redhead, Gaara, has completed fifty A-rank missions without a scratch. The odds are all in favor of the Sand team making it to the finals."
The information was like a splash of cold water. The group was taken aback by the revelations.
Sasuke questioned on the matter of Rock Lee and Naruto Uzumaki.
Kabuto smirked, clearly enjoying the attention. "Well, let's start with Rock Lee. He's been a Genin for a year, part of Team Guy. His team also includes Neji Hyuga and Tenten Higurashi. Lee specializes in Taijutsu and is notably weak in Ninjutsu and Genjutsu."
Sakura and Naruto exchanged glances, the details of Lee's abilities now making sense after their earlier encounter.
Kabuto moved on, his voice smooth and knowledgeable. "Gaara of the Sand is a powerhouse. His team consists of his siblings, Temari and Kankuro. He's the son of the Fourth Kazekage and is known for his flawless mission record. He's currently the favorite to win."
Finally, Kabuto turned to Naruto. "As for Naruto Uzumaki, your academy scores were below average. You specialize in the Shadow Clone technique and have little skill in Ninjutsu or Genjutsu. Your Taijutsu was described as lacking. However, you've completed 47 D-rank missions, 1 C-rank mission, 1 failed A-rank mission, and surprisingly, 1 S-rank mission. Surprisingly, there are bets on you, though most predict you'll drop out before the third exam."
Naruto's face reddened with a mix of anger and embarrassment, while Sakura's gaze shifted between him and Kabuto, her thoughts racing.
Before the tension could escalate, a sharp, threatening voice cut through the air. "Keep your mouth shut, or we'll shut it for you!"
The group turned to see a bandaged figure surrounded by a menacing aura. His words were met with a sudden hush from the crowd. An authoritative man in a dark suit entered, his presence commanding immediate silence.
"Everyone, take your seats within five seconds or face disqualification from the Chunin Exams," he announced with a steely gaze.
The room erupted into a flurry of movement as the 111 Genin scrambled for their assigned seats, the earlier casual atmosphere giving way to a tense focus. The man's gaze swept over the room with an air of practiced efficiency.
"Good, everyone is seated. The first part of the Chunin Exams is a written test. If you are caught cheating five times by me or the proctors, your entire team will be disqualified. The final, tenth question will be given to you at the 45-minute mark," the man explained, his voice echoing through the classroom.
A collective gasp rippled through the room as the reality of the exam set in.
"And with that," the man declared, "Let the Chunin Exams begin!"
The atmosphere crackled with a mixture of excitement and anxiety as the Genin prepared to face the trials ahead.
I feel like this is a good part to Leave it At. Once again, I'm continuing both The Uchiha Resentment and Naruto: The Darkness Within, I'm nearly done on Chapter 12 TUR and Chapter 8 rewrite for TDW is coming soon. Anyways drop a review on the story and follow it. Let me know what you think of the story. Also before you all ask, the events of Konohamaru bumping into the sand siblings still happened, just Ebisu intervened as Sasuto was with Sakura going about their day towards the Chunin Exams testing site. Sasuto will interact with Konohamaru later on. As for the ship for this story I'm tossing around the idea of either Sakura or Hinata. I figured since The Darkness Within is leaning towards Ino based on the voting and The Uchiha Resentment is between OCs, that Hinata or Sakura fans can have whatever they desire here. Once again it won't be a three way relationship or harem as I don't write them. So I guess now is the time to put in the reviews who you'd rather have. Sakura or Hinata. PM me or leave a review. This is the only chapter I'm allowing voting on this matter. This is going to be an interesting story to write as I've not read many being based on this idea, aside from the Amagi's video. Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed the read and I'll see you in the next one!
this universe is also set in my Narutoverse. Perhaps one day Convergence of Souls, The Darkness Within, and The Uchiha Resentment could clash.
I look at every PM on and every DM on X (@PRH4LiF3). If I don't respond, I'm probably just busy with work. As always I'm down to discuss my stories, give advice on stories, and review your ideas on my stories.
Omake 1: Potara dud
As Team Seven wandered through the wreckage, Sasuke was digging through the rubble with unusual fervor, his thoughts clearly preoccupied. "I can't believe the dope actually had a clan," he muttered, still trying to process the news about Naruto's heritage. The revelation was as disconcerting as it was confusing.
Suddenly, his hand grazed something strange among the debris—a golden box covered in intricate designs. Curiosity piqued, Sasuke opened the box to reveal a pair of purple earrings with golden clasps. The inscription read, "A great power when used in unison." Sasuke's eyes widened as he recognized the design. "These look like my mother's," he thought, feeling a twinge of nostalgia.
As Sasuke examined the earrings, Sakura and Naruto approached, their voices drifting over the wasteland. Sakura's eyes sparkled when she saw the earrings. "Wow, Sasuke! Those are so pretty!" she exclaimed, clearly impressed.
Naruto, never one to miss an opportunity for a jab, snorted. "Yeah, Sasuke, pretty is exactly what you need right now!"
Sasuke shot Naruto a glare. "Shut up, dope. Not everyone has fashion sense as questionable as yours."
In a rare burst of playful mischief, Naruto decided to have a little fun. Without warning, he snatched one of the earrings from Sasuke's hand and clipped it onto his own ear. Sasuke's eyes widened in shock. "Hey! What are you—"
Before Sasuke could finish his sentence, a dazzling flash of light erupted from the earrings. However, instead of the dramatic event they might have expected, the flash was accompanied by a comically loud *POP!* and a puff of confetti.
Naruto and Sasuke were left blinking, their expressions a mix of surprise and confusion. Sakura stood off to the side, giggling uncontrollably. "I didn't think they came with a party trick!" she said between laughs.
Naruto and Sasuke stared at each other, then at the earrings, which were now emitting tiny sparkles. Sasuke sighed, rubbing his temples. "Great. Now we've got party favors instead of superpowers."
Naruto shrugged, trying to hide his disappointment. "Well, at least I got a new accessory." He struck a pose, trying to look cool despite the ridiculous situation.
Sasuke rolled his eyes. "Just make sure you don't use those earrings to throw a party in the middle of a mission."
As the three of them continued their search, the golden box lay forgotten amidst the rubble, a reminder that sometimes even ancient relics come with their own brand of comic relief.
