Election Day on Cybertron was similar to Earth's own Election Day, with less violence. Humans had a strange affinity to cause distrust in their elections, corrupting what should be a very easy process. HUD systems that every cybertronian had were literally unhackable, making the singular vote from each cybertronian official; maybe humans should install something like that.
Optimus wasn't happy that most of the team had to return to Cybertron with him, leaving only Ratchet, Bulkhead, Jazz and Sari back at base. Ironhide, Bumblebee and I accompanied Optimus to the capital building, acting as his bodyguards. Ironhide that took it to spark, making sure no one got near our Prime, including us. Bee and I were highly aware Optimus was more than capable of defending himself and really didn't need Ironhide to fawn over him, so we stayed by his side and watched the orange mech drive himself to a near breaking point.
"Come on 'Hide, you don't need to be a buffer." Bee put his arm around his shoulders. "Besides, we're behind a barrier. If anybot tries to rush us, the guard will deal with it before we do."
We had the jet twins as our security, guarding the front steps where the candidates would make their speeches. They were the ones out in front of the barrier, making sure no one could get past them; We were mostly moral support.
"But what if they get rushed?!" Ironhide argued, which gained Jetstorm's attention.
"Not to be worrying!" He flashed a grin over his shoulder. "We will to be making sure that does not happen."
The crowd erupted in cheers as Alpha Trion took the podium, the twins standing tall at attention as he settled the crowd.
"Thank you all for coming on this momentous day." The old mech spoke. "Today, we choose Cybertron's new Magnus. As always, we thank and mourn the loss of Ultra Magnus, our fearless leader who bravely pulled us through the war. Today, we honor him by electing someone who will carry the mantle."
On the opposite side from us, Sentinel walked in, wearing a custom Magnus helmet. He seemed to be celebrating a little early.
"Guess someone is compensating…" Bee whispered to me. Optimus nudged him, silently telling him to be quiet.
"…Now, let us hear the debates between the candidates." Alpha raised his arms, pointing to the two podiums at his sides, just in front of him. Optimus took a calming breath as he stepped forward, each of us whispered our encouragement.
Opening statements were a bit boring, but the crowd at least hung on every word Optimus said. He had a way with words that no other mech I'd met had. The cheers he received was a good sign that they wanted him as a leader.
"…If you choose me, I'd like to keep my current title. I may be your Magnus, but I don't feel that I'm above any of you. I'd like to stay a Prime to prove to all of you that I see you as equals." This got everyone to cheer again. No one expected Optimus to reject the title change.
This whole time, I was focused on Sentinel's face to see his reaction. I could tell he was struggling not to talk over Optimus right now, the way he worried at his lower lip told me how hard it was for him. The second he was allowed to speak, he made a quip about Optimus abandoning Cybertron to go to Earth.
"As Magnus, I swear to never choose an organic planet over our own cybertronian one!" He continued on with the organic fear propaganda, which the crowd murmured about. He'd cast so much fear into the citizens that they were afraid of anything not cybertronian. If Sentinel won and got his way, Sari would be banished or worse, and the others that were like her would be hunted down.
After opening statements was the debates on different things ranging from the energy crisis to the organic "crisis." It alway impressed me how calm Optimus stayed in stressful situations and never let anyone get under his dermal plating. Unlike Sentinel, who's emotions got in his way and he ended up coming off as abrasive. This was playing in our favor, for now.
"How long does this go on for?" Bee whispered, getting antsy from just standing at attention this whole time. I looked at my internal clock and saw we'd been here over an Earth hour. I shrugged, earning an eye roll and a sigh from Bee. I understood though, my peds had gone numb from staying in this position.
"Thank you both for your words. Now for your closing statements." Alpha said sometime later, all of us feeling a bit of relief. Of course, we all knew that Sentinel had his helm up his aft and we're not completely surprised he started an argument as his closing statement.
"Cybertronians, I know Optimus has a way with his words, but he can't keep his word on anything." Here we go… "Optimus claims he knows what is best, but as I stated before, he has been absent from Cybertron for vorons! He and his team have chosen to live on an organic infested planet, claiming it will be our salvation. Let me tell you, nothing that comes from an organic planet will ever save us! It will only poison us."
I glared right into the mech's optics, noting he caught my optic sight and balked for a moment. He was scared of me…GOOD!
"Femmes and Gentlemechs, I know you all fear organics and you have some right to." Optimus' voice was calm and even, making the nervous murmers quiet down. "But my team and I have been studying the organics of Earth. We have learned that not all organic life will hurt us. In fact, a lot of what we thought we knew about organic life is false. To start with, humans are not toxic and have helped us understand more about organic life. You are all aware of the energon crisis. The Allspark fragments that were spread across Earth are now helping us grow new energon crystals on Earth. These crystals are our answer to salvation and are our only hope now to curve this crisis. As your new leader, I promise to do everything in my power to bring Cybertron from the brink of crisis back to where we were before the war."
Optimus was right to tell them the truth about the whole situation, seeing as the current acting Magnus lied. The crowd was shocked that the new energy source they had access too was from an organic planet, but a lot of them weren't repulsed by it. In fact, the ones that had blue energon cubes re-examined them before trying it again, noting that it tasted much better too. Maybe they were more receptive than we first thought.
"Oh come on, Prime, you have it in the bag!" Bumblebee playfully slapped his shoulder, but Prime stayed seated on the couch. We were in a green room of sorts at the capital, being held there until the election was over for safety.
"I'm not so sure, Bumblebee." Optimus leaned on his elbows on his knees. "Sentinel has a lot of them brainwashed into thinking organics are all toxic."
"Don't focus on that part! They were eating out of the palm of your hand!" Bee assured.
"I don't think cybertronians are actually against organics, I think the lies they have been told have made them cautious." I said as I looked out the window, seeing the line of voters growing smaller. "When you told them about the energon from Earth, not a single one threw their cubes or looked disgusted. Just a thought." I turned back to see Prime had perked up.
"Then we may stand a chance." Ironhide was by the door, playing bodyguard still. "Honestly, I wasn't a big fan of Earth at first. I had been told it was an uninhabitable planet with poison shooting organics."
"Let me guess, Sentinel told you that?" Bee crossed his arms as Ironhide blushed and nodded his head.
"Yeah…maybe he really hasn't been telling everything truthfully." Ironhide was our insight to the people of Cybertron's current state. He'd been here during all of Sentinel's reign and knew more about the mindset of the citizens.
"No, he hasn't told the truth in a very long time." Optimus confirmed. "If this election goes the way we'd like it too, I'm going to change the way things have been done. No more lies or keeping cybertronians in the dark, it's time to throw away the curtain and tell them what's really happening."
Megacycles passed before we were allowed to even turn the vid screen on to see how things were going. Jetfire at least had come in to inform us every so often, but it was getting rather boring just sitting and waiting. The four of us gathered near the screen to see how the polls were going, but so far it was just a reporter talking about the debate.
"Ugh…this is going to take forever." Bee flopped backwards on the empty couch, growing more and more antsy as time went on. I wasn't one to judge though, I felt the same way. To us, there wasn't a choice to be made, it was Optimus all the way! But…the numbers came up and things were going wonky. Optimus had fifty percent of the vote and so did Sentinel.
"Ah frag…" Bee sat up looking at the numbers.
"Yer kiddin me…" Ironhide was just as perplexed.
"How is it so evenly split…?" I wondered with them.
"And it's a tie! All votes seem to be in and accounted for!"
"Hey…that's a lie! We haven't gotten to vote yet!" Bumblebee glared at the screen. He was right though, none of us in this room had voted!
"What's going on?" I asked, but Optimus didn't have an answer.
"Pleasing to see you all again!" Jetstorm came in but was grabbed by Bumblebee.
"What's the big idea leaving us out of the vote?" The yellow mech wasn't mad at the twins, just confused.
"Out of the vote?" Jetfire was just as confused. "But…Someone was to have come to get you for voting."
"Well it didn't happen." Ironhide raised an optic ridge.
"Come!" Jetstorm led the way. "We will correct mistakes!"
"Sorry for strange confusion." Jetfire followed us, both had no idea how this happened, but I had a feeling I knew who messed with us.
"And where do you think you are going?" To our left down the corridor, Sentinel was storming towards us. "We're not supposed to be leaving this hall!"
"Apologies, Sentinel sir, but they did not have chance to vote yet." Jetfire explained, Sentinel scoffed.
"They don't get a vote." Sentinel pointed to us. "The Earth bots aren't part of this. They're not living on this planet so their votes aren't valid."
"You can't do that! We're still cybertronian!" Bumblebee shouted. "What game are you playing at?"
"Sir?" Ironhide was shocked that his superior wasn't going to allow him a vote either. There goes his loyalty towards the big chinned mech.
"You don't want us to vote because you know how our votes would pan out." I stepped forward, knowing he feared me. "Your egotistical, psychotic ways aren't going to work this time. Alpha Trion already approved our right to vote and we will vote against you." He backed away from me. "The fact you're trying to pull this just proves you are not Magnus material, or even worthy of being a Prime!" At this point I had stopped stepping forward and leaned forward, making him stumble backwards.
"I think he gets the point." Optimus put a hand on my shoulder, I could hear the hidden smile in his voice. "You really tried that huh?" I heard him mutter to Sentinel as we walked away.
"We might wanna check with the rest of the team too." Bee shot a glare towards the big chinned mech. "I gotta feeling their votes weren't counted."
Bumblebee was correct and Alpha Trion was beyond outraged when the twins and Optimus explained what was going on.
"Is that so? Sentinel!" He bellowed, the mech in question strode in. "Did you delete the Earth bound Cybertronian's votes? And did you deny these bots a vote?! This is an outrage!" He stood, banging his fist on his desk. "The council will not tolerate such underhanded activities. The rightful title of Magnus goes to Optimus. Sentinel, you are under arrest for treason."
"Treason?! If anyone, it should be the one who abandoned this planet and claim organics are our only salvation!" The jet twins had already grabbed his arms and pinned them to his back. "What do you two think you're doing? Get your hands off of me!"
"We cannot be doing that." Jetstorm pulled out stasis cuffs and cuffed the struggling mech. "Our orders now come from…well, not you."
"You are under arrest for tampering with votes. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have right to a lawyer…" Jetfire read his rights as they led him off, Sentinel arguing the whole way.
"Didn't think I'd see the day…" Bumblebee said under his breath.
"Optimus, it is with great honor, and a heavy spark, that you take the mantle of Magnus. I understand you want to be an equal, and we have taken it into consideration. You may keep your current title as Prime, but it will be known that you are the current leader of Cybertron." Alpha Trion bowed his head towards our leader. "Today marks the beginning of a new era!"
The council tried and begged Optimus to stay on Cybertron, but Optimus refused to leave Earth vulnerable to Megatron.
"We have to protect Earth as much as we protect our own planet. If Earth falls, Cybertron will fall right along with it. I will be available at any time if you need me, but at this time I must return to Earth." Optimus was clear that he was leaving, but he wasn't abandoning anything. "As it is now, we desperately need to change the citizens' views on the organics we have to cooperate with. I have two experts who could give a detailed presentation on them. Also, can I ask what this curfew is about?"
"Ah, yes. That was implemented by Sentinel when 'Cons were running a muck." Alpha seemed to be against it as well.
"I don't see how that can help anyone in this case. I guess my first action as Magnus is to get rid of that curfew and stop playing those "Decipticon's are everywhere" ads. The truth is that the 'Cons need energon and weapons. We need our guard sent to those locations and not spread them thinly throughout our solar system."
"Then that's what will happen." Dia Atlas was there as well, so far his face hadn't shown a single emotion. Behind him was Drift, who stayed just as stoic. "The guard will be pulled back in to regroup. Are there any teams you have a preference for?"
"No, as long as each outpost has one team and complete access to the space bridge nearest them." Optimus didn't stumble his words, he really was forged for this job.
"So…do we call you the Supreme Prime now?" Bumblebee teased as we went through the space bridge. On the other side Sari was waiting with uncontainable excitement. "Gaah!" Bee was surprised as the orange and cream fem flew past his helm.
"Did you do it?! Did you win?! Are you now.,."
"Ok, ok, calm down." Optimus gently took a hold of one of her jet pack wings to stop her from buzzing around his helm. "Yes, we won. But I'm not taking the title, just the position of Cybertron's leader. I don't want anyone thinking I'm above them."
"But you are." Bee stated.
"Everyone is above you…" I teased, earning a shocked look from him.
"Hey!" He huffed, knowing I didn't mean it. "I expected that from her but not from you!" He pointed to Sari, who was laughing herself to tears.
"Still getting the short jokes eh?" Ironhide slapped his back with gusto, forcing Bee off balance.
"Yeah…" Bumblebee wasn't happy that Ironhide had said that, which clued me in to something I hadn't really thought about. Ironhide and Bee weren't buddies back at the academy, I knew that much, but I had a hunch the orange mech bullied Bee more than he let on.
"Man, I can't get the look on Sentinel's face out of my head when he got arrested!" Bumblebee grinned as we got home. "I don't think anyone will believe us!"
"Believe what?" Ratchet asked as we pulled in and transformed.
"Gahhhbluhaaa!" Bluestreak loudly spoke up from his arms, he excitedly reached for me as I transformed.
"Hi little mech." He chirped when I put our noses together, putting his chubby hands on my face. "Where's Jazz?"
"Taking a stasis nap. He needed one after not recharging last night. Someone wouldn't sleep." Ratchet handed Blue off to me, the night time offender cooed happily, as if he didn't cause his creator to have insomnia. "Any who…what's the status? You now our fearless Magnus?"
"I wouldn't say completely fearless, but yes, I am the new leader of Cybertron." Ratchet uncharacteristically pulled Optimus into a half hug while laughing.
"I knew you could beat that aft of a mech!" He cheered. "Eh, if online we had some highgrade to celebrate!"
"I mean, we have the refinery to do that…let's go make some!" Bulkhead joined in the celebration. "Come on!" Both he and the rest of the team went off to the refinery area except for me and Bumblebee.
"You're not joining?" I asked while Bluestreak was investigating my chassis stripes.
"Na, I'll let them have at it." Bee seemed uncomfortable about something.
"What's wrong?" I asked, making Bluestreak look up and chirp. "I know, you're ok." I kissed his chevron, making him grin.
"Yeah." It was too fast of a response, that, and he looked away from me.
"I'm sorry I teased you, I didn't think it bothered you…" I should have known better.
"Huh? Oh, no that's ok. It's just…I didn't think Ironhide would bring up old slag..." He let Bluestreak take his hand to play with as we spoke. "He wasn't my friend back then, you know that; and yeah he apologized, sort of, but…he and Wasp were the two who picked on me the most." My intuition was right about it feeling off.
"I knew he was your bully but I didn't realize it was…traumatic."
"Yeah…for a prank they took my peds and threw them up on the lockers. I don't like talking about that stuff…but it happened."
"I'm sorry they did that to you. Maybe it's time you two sat down and you spoke your truth to him."
"It's in the past…I just want it to stay there." He just wanted things to keep moving forward.
"Ahmananama." Bluestreak spoke up, chewing on the side of Bee's hand.
"Oh yeah? You got something to say?" Bee smiled at the little mech, earning a very loud, happy chirp.
"Thank you, my audials are ringing." I shifted him in my arms so he could face Bumblebee. "You really should talk to him though. Make him see you're not…whatever he sees you as."
"Fine…I'll give it another go." I felt for him, it wasn't easy standing up to someone who openly hated you. "You know, Jazz could help you with it too. He's really good at moderating." Bluestreak desperately wanted Bee to hold him, nearly wiggling out of my arms as Bee took him.
"Hello…" it was a first, Bumblebee hadn't really held him before. Mostly he handed Blue off to whoever he wanted to be with, but this time Blue wanted him. "Um…" Bee held him out awkwardly, making Bluestreak fuss.
"Here, hold him like this." I helped Bee figure out how to comfortably hold Bluestreak. "Just help support his back, like that."
"Ok…" Bumblebee was nervous about holding him, taking extra care to make sure he wouldn't slip.
"What's wrong? He's not gonna hurt you." I assured him.
"It's not that, I don't want to hurt him." Bluestreak fussed for a second before settling in Bee's arms, tracking his racing stripes with his tiny hand. "This…isn't so bad." Blue looked up at Bee's face and squealed happily.
"I think he likes you." I traced Blue's chevron with my thumb, getting him to calm down a bit.
"You never wanted me to hold you before." He spoke softly to the little mech. "What changed your mind?" His answer was Bluestreak putting his own hand in his mouth. "Good answer."
"Who knows with him. Some days he won't let me near him, other days he won't let me leave him with Jazz." I leaned on Bee's opposite shoulder to watch Blue.
"Aw, look at that." Both of us were startled by Jazz. "You finally got ov'a your fear of yellow."
"He's afraid of yellow?" I asked as the rest of the crew returned.
"Wouldn't say afraid, just not a fan of bright colors." Jazz smiled.
"You two look like a real couple like that." Ironhide quip as he and Bulkhead brought out a box full of high grade cubes. He had a half one opened in his hand, the potent energon apparently made a very strong high grade.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Bee shot him a glare as Bluestreak leaned back in his arms to see Jazz.
"Ahaaaha!" Bluestreak giggled as he was held nearly upside down.
"Jus' saying you guys look more like a real couple with a sparklin'." Ironhide downed the cube, taking another. "You don't look like one other wise. I mean…" he vaguely motioned to Bee and me, like there was something morally wrong about us dating.
"Ironhide, I don't get what you're saying, but maybe slow down on the high grade." Optimus warned. Our orange teammate was dangerously close to getting his aft kicked.
"'Sn't that strong!" He slurred, second cube gone already.
"As fun as this seems, I'm out." Bumblebee handed Bluestreak back to Jazz, leaving the living area to go to his room. Blue fussed, not wanting him to go yet.
"Sheesh, what a baby…" I heard Ironhide mutter.
"Why are you such an aft?" I shot at him as I went after Bee, leaving Jazz with an upset Bluestreak.
"You ok?" I asked, watching Bee play his racing game from behind him. His car crashed into a wall, causing him to lose again. He sighed in frustration, tossing the controller to the side.
"No! I'm sick of him throwing shade at me! I honestly thought he had moved on from being a jock…" Bee put his head in his hands. I put my hands on his shoulders as he leaned back, gently massaging them.
"I know you two don't get along well, but I still think you guys need to talk. He is obviously jealous of you and me, but I don't want you fighting him over it." Last thing we needed was for the team to implode right after Optimus became our planet's leader.
"I've tried. I took your advice and tried talking to him the other day. Everything seemed fine, he apologized for being rude, but now I think he was just putting up a front. What if he's just saying everything is ok but not really trying to change?" Bee tipped his head back to look up at me. "I don't wanna fight him either, I never did. He's the one trying to pick one…"
"I know, but you let him get under your armor." I kissed his helm. "You gotta be the bigger bot in this."
"Are you making fun of me again?" He smirked.
"Always." I teased. He pulled my helm down to his level to kiss me while tipped upside down.
"You're so mean to me." He whispered against my lips. I laughed softly, pulling him closer to deepen our kiss when someone banged on the door. They didn't wait for us to open it, instead lifting it up as the pulley screeched in protest against the force. So much for fixing the door…
"There ya are!" Bulkhead grinned, holding up two high grade cubes. "Ya didn't get any so I thought ya might want some!" He apparently had a few himself, the way he swayed and slurred his words told me he and the others had indulged.
"Hey, thanks!" Bee waved him over, taking one of the brightly glowing cubes. "Woh…it almost looks radioactive like this!" The once blue green cube had become more green and gained a glow that indicated it was high grade.
"Why ya holed up in here? Thought ya liked high grade?" Bulkhead said as he sat on a tire. "Somethin' happen?"
"Ironhide is just being a jerk." Bee mumbled, biting the cube to expose its contents. "Holy slag that's strong!" I had taken a sip along with him and winced at the strong taste. I never had high grade before so I didn't have much to compare it too, but it smelled and tasted more fermented.
"Yeah…I noticed he's been kinda mean." Bulkhead sighed. "But, I though ya talked it out."
"Me too…" Bumblebee downed half the cube. "Guess he doesn't care."
"Don't get ya self down little buddy!" Bulkhead nudged his shoulder. "Ya still got us! Oh, that reminds me, why was Sari upset the other day? And what's with the news talking about you two?"
"Oh…right." Bee nervously scratched the back of his head while I downed the rest of my cube. The regret in doing that hit soon after, the world slightly blurred around the edges as the high grade hit my system. Bulkhead gave us a look and took out a few more cubes for us to share.
"Did I say something wrong?" The green mech worried as the three of us opened our cubes and sat in a triangle.
"No, just…you missed quite a bit." Bumblebee explained everything, in his buzzed state he might have given out more details than needed. Bulkhead was blushing heavily when Bumblebee finished.
"You guys got caught!" He laughed, seeing the humor in the situation. "Guess the humans know how we reproduce now."
"Yeah, they got a demonstration in 4K." Bee laughed.
"Free porno for them." I said, making both of them burst out laughing.
"We should be paid for that performance." Bee leaned on me, all of us feeling the effects of two cubes of potent high grade.
"Well, could be worst things that could have happened I guess. Wait…ya don't think 'Hide is jealous you're getting valve while he ain't?" Bulkhead slurred.
"Oh please, he could frag anyone if he wanted!" Bumblebee waved off. "He probably got some while we were visiting Cybertron today."
"Bee, he didn't leave Prime's side, when would he have gotten his spike wet?" Bee made a face in thought at my words.
"Good point…he was so far up Prime's aft he didn't have time."
"See? Maybe he wants Starlit." Bulkhead teased.
"Like I'd do it. He just isn't my type…"
"So you would open up for him if he was your type?" Bee teased, wrapping his arm around my shoulders. "If he wasn't such a prick, I'd like to see that."
"Excuse you?" I raised an optic ridge.
"Uh…wait…" Bee back tracked, his face bright pink.
"You would like to watch me frag someone else? Is that what I'm hearing?" Both mechs blushed and looked away. Guess highgrade made you say things you usually wouldn't.
"Maybe…" it was barely audible but I heard Bee say it. I blushed, imagining it too, but quickly shook the image away.
"Different topic, please." I sighed, not wanting to make Bulkhead uncomfortable.
"Oh! I had an idea a while ago, but I wanna run it by you." Bulkhead was quick to change the topic. "Ya know how Blackarachnia was able to teleport a short distance on Earth? I was thinkin', what if we harnessed that and made like a…a ground bridge!"
"That's actually a really good idea." It was one that I had thought of, but never considered how useful it could be. "Space bridges aren't too different from them, it would be a matter of calibrating shorter distances and limiting them to only the planet they're placed…" Bee was looking between us.
"Great, I'm dating a nerd!" Bee quickly ducked as I made a playful swipe at his helm. "What? I didn't say I didn't like it."
"Yeah, yeah…"
"But it could actually work!" Bulkhead beamed. "We could even set one up inside the plant, in the basement! Just wish there was a way to make a hybrid space bridge…"
"In theory that could work, but unfortunately the signal to Cybertron is too weak from here. The rocks underground interfere with the signal, it would scramble the transmission…I wonder though, would a signal tower help with that issue?"
"Hmmm…if it's high enough maybe. But first we need to solve the ground bridge puzzle." Bulkhead winked. "Don't get to far a head of ya self."
"Eh, the party is in here!" The three of us turned to the dented door to see Ironhide leaning on the frame. He was highly intoxicated, a cube in hand as he raised it up. "Cheers mates!"
"Jeez mech, you're going pretty hard." Bumblebee looked him over.
"Eh, I'm fine. 'Sides, we're celebrating!" He wobbled his way towards a tire, falling into his seat. "What'cha talkin' about?"
"Space bridges and converting them into a ground bridge." I shrugged, which he scoffed at.
"How boring." He waved it off. Not sure what he expected, but I didn't expect him to be rude.
"You don't have to stay then." I sipped off a third cube that Bee and I were splitting. He watched us trade off the cube, making a subtle sneer at Bee.
"Anyway, I think it could work." Bulkhead fiddled with the empty glass of his third cube. Ironhide had interrupted the comfortable atmosphere we had going, making all of us uncomfortable.
"Mech, have you ever talked to a femme outside of ya team?" Ironhide had his focus on Bulkhead. "Are they impressed by the space bridge talk?" I couldn't tell if he was being genuine or mocking him.
"Um…well…" Bulkhead didn't know how to respond, looking at both Bee and me. "I guess the right one would be…"
"So, no." Ironhide leaned forward. "Wait…have you ever been with one?"
"You don't have to answer him, Bulky." Bumblebee gained his attention.
"Hold on, were you two…together?" Ironhide pointed between Bee and Bulkhead.
"What?! No!" Bumblebee exclaimed very loudly. "What's with you? You act like we're friends then you go and bully us. What the slag, mech?!"
"What are ya talkin about? I'm bustin ya chain!" Ironhide seemed genuinely confused, unaware his actions weren't coming off friendly.
"You're coming off rude." I cut Bee off, knowing they would just rile each other up. "If you really are trying to be friendly, it's not coming out that way."
"I-it's not? Oh…slag I didn't realize. I'm used ta a different crowd I guess. We're always pickin on each other…"
"Which is ok as long as everyone is in on it, but right now all you're doing is making me relive the academy days!" Bumblebee told him.
"Right…sorry I was like that then…I'm really tryin' ta make up for it! Guess I gotta work on that a bit more…" So he really wasn't trying to be abrasive, he just…was.
"So it's not still about Wasp?" Bee seemed a little bit relieved by his admission.
"Na, I mean I can't blame you for that. Longarm…er…Shockwave's the one ta blame. 'Sides, don't blame ya for suspecting him lookin back on it."
"So…you're not trying to be mean?" Bulkhead asked shyly.
"No! Boy I really do need ya work on how I come off…" to my surprise, Bee was the one to reach out and put his arm around his shoulders.
"Make you a deal, we'll help you with that but you gotta promise us that you won't bully anyone anymore. You're close to becoming another Sentinel!"
"A while ago I would have taken that as a compliment, but seein him act like that today…I don't wanna be anything like him!"
"No kidding. Hate to say it, but he's acting more and more like a Decipticon." The three of them looked at me with shock. "It's the truth and you know it."
"I mean…he did wanna control Cybertron and all the citizens. But…you think he could've actually carried out mass annihilation for those that wouldn't follow?" Bulkhead realized as he said it that yes, Sentinel would do just that. "Wait…yeah I can see that."
"He has said techno-organics don't deserve to live, I know he would carry out an order to eliminate them all. If he had won, I don't think it would have been any worse than Megatron taking over." The three mechs solemnly nodded in agreement, thankful it didn't pan that way.
"Well, that got dark." Bee sighed, handing back what was left of the cube.
"Frag that high grade is strong!" Ironhide leaned back. "Anyone else feeling super buzzed?"
"Slag yeah!" Bee grinned. "So, you kept asking Bulky if he's been with anyone, what about you?"
"Ha! Of course." Ironhide was being cocky again, but wasn't coming off like a jerk this time. "We know about you, but have you been with anyone before?" Bee nervously played with his fingers.
"Yeah, a couple… nothing special though. You know, I'm actually getting kind of tired." He was quick to shut down this conversation after just starting it.
"Eh, lightweight. We'll leave ya to it then." Ironhide stood, oblivious in his over energized state. "Come on Bulkhead, you gotta explain to me again, what's painting and why do ya like it?" We watched them leave, the door closing as much as it could, but arched up at the bottom.
"Bee?" He flinched. "Hey, where are you right now?" I made his overly bright optics focus on me.
"I-I don't know what you mean…"
"You're overthinking something. Are you here with me? Or stuck in your own mind?" He laughed softly, almost nervously at my words.
"Remember how I said I was with someone? Well…he never physically hurt me, but he did make me feel…bad about myself, sometimes."
"How so?" I took his hands in mine, noticing how tightly he held on.
"Please don't think less of me…" he was near tears. I leaned forward to press our forehelms together to let him know I would never think that. "He wanted me to be his pleasure bot, to make me more of a femme than a carrier mech. He never saw me for the real me, just a carrier he could imprint on. Yes, I loved him, but I couldn't stand being treated…like I was femme."
"That's why you don't like your valve touched." Bee nodded, refusing to look me in the optic right now. I didn't know what to say, so I said nothing and let him collapse against me, holding him close.
"Now I remember why I don't drink highgrade as much…I get too emotional." At least he was laughing again.
"I never had it before tonight. It's fine, but not something I'd want every night. You ok, though?"
"I will be. Just don't like talking about everything that happened in the past." He lifted his head to make me look up. "Thank you…"
"For what?" I could feel heat building between us, blushing when I saw the look in his optics.
"For listening, for being you." He cupped my cheek, pulling me into a deep kiss. "I love you."
"I love you too." I wrapped my arms around him, letting him pull me into his lap. Our kiss quickly became heated in our drunken state, the high grade helping us become bold. I moaned at the feeling of his fingers tracing the seams along my back struts, all of my nodes suddenly becoming extra sensitive.
"Yeah, baby, you want more?" Bee's speech was slurred, but his hands were steady. I responded by nipping his neck cables, leaving marks along the junction between his neck and helm. He took a hold of my hips, grinding our panels together as he thrusted up. "Fuck, I need you." He pulled me into another heated kiss, our panels opening up in unison.
"Ah, Bee…" I cried as I pressed my valve against his spike, rubbing my node against the tip. Bee watched as I continued to pleasure myself against him, his spike leaking transfluid in anticipation of being swallowed up by my valve lips.
"Think again mech." I kissed him hard, not allowing him to line up to push inside; I wanted a ride, but not the kind he wanted.
"S-Star!" He whined, desperately begging me to give in. No way I was giving in now, he looked so sexy writhing under me in desperation. It was getting hard to not give in, my calipers wanted to squeeze around something, but we were both close to overload just doing this.
"This feels good…" I told him, still not allowing him to line up correctly. "Are you not liking this?"
"Primus, this is hot." He moaned, allowing me to hold the back of his helm as I rode him. "Ah! N-no not yet…" he cried as I licked his audial horn, sucking on it softly to get a reaction. I felt him tense just before his spike released his transfluid between us.
"You're extra sensitive." I purred, kissing his face until he came back to reality.
"Just for you." I felt his arms wrap around my waist, pulling me close once more. "Now, I'm going to fuck you until you can't stand." Before I registered what he said, he had pushed me back onto his coffee table and spread my legs wide open. I blushed hard as he gazed at my exposed valve, holding my hips up so I couldn't shy away.
"W-wait…" I begged, but it was pay back time and he didn't listen to me. He pressed his glossa deep into me, pressing his nasal ridge up against my outer node. In this position, I couldn't buck him off or move away without pulling him with me. "B-Bee!" I gripped the edge of the table to keep myself grounded as his arms wrapped under my thighs to keep my legs open, keeping my hips up in the air.
"You're not getting away." His voice was husky from lust. "I'm gonna use your valve as my personal fountain." He licked my slit. "Safe word?"
"H-huh?" I didn't understand what he meant.
"If I go too far, I need a word to know you wanna stop." He kissed my thigh, waiting for me to say something.
"Green."
"That works." He chuckled, gently pinching my outer node. "Frag you're so wet, I don't think you stopped leaking lubricant this whole time. Bet I could slip right inside…" I felt him slide two fingers inside, the angle I was at gave me a clear view of everything he was doing to my valve. He scissored his fingers, spreading me open as my calipers squeezed around his fingers. I desperately wanted him inside, but I also wanted him to keep teasing me until I couldn't take it.
"You talk a lot of big talk, but can you actually fuck me til I can't stand?" I challenged, knowing he'd take it.
"Oh, you think I can't?" He purred, leaning forward and pinning me down with his weight. His spike rubbed at my entrance, purposely placed right between my lips. "You're gonna regret doubting me…" he stood, lining up his spike and drove it down into my valve, slowly.
"Fuck!" I threw my head back at the sensation of him fully sheathed inside, his spike hitting my ceiling node straight on. He kept my legs spread wide as he continued to pound down into me, not slowing down or being gentle about it. Apparently I liked things rough, I'd never felt this high from pleasure before and could feel overload fast approaching.
"Bee! Oh Frag!! Bee!" I moaned, screaming his name as his thrusts became erratic. My inner chamber opened with a hard thrust, throwing me over the edge when his spike connected. He didn't relent, instead pushing my knees up by my helm as he continued to frag me.
"Fragging love when you're screaming my name." He growled, pinning my legs down when his hands came to rest by my helm as well, allowing him to give harder, shallow thrusts. The over sensitivity from the high grade and from a recent overload had me on the edge in seconds, a second overload hitting when his spike fully seated in my chamber, locking there for a moment as he filled me with his transfluid.
"Starlit…" he purred, kissing me and allowing my legs to unfold a bit so I could sit up a little. He knelt back to his knees, pulling me into his lap all while still inside me. "I don't want this to end."
"Me neither." I was breathless but still wanted more. "Bee…I wanna bond with you." He stilled his movements looking at me with wide, almost white optics.
"Y-you do?" I laughed softly at his reaction, cupping his cheek as I pushed him back to lean against the couch.
"I do. I love you." It didn't take highgrade for me to admit that, but it helped with how nervous I had been about asking. "We don't have to now, but I really don't want to go on without knowing you want to as well." A deep, passionate kiss was his response.
"I do…but I want it to be a little more special than a night of drinking highgrade." He smiled, keeping our helms together. "I love you too." His hands wandered back to my waist, rolling his hips to pick the pace back up. "I don't think I can live without you anymore, you're addicting." He teased me.
"Me or my valve?" I made a point to squeeze around his spike, making his groan.
"B-both. We fit together so perfectly…" he took my hand, lacing our fingers as I slowly rode him. "Frag…ah Star…" he moaned, resting his other hand on my hip.
"You're perfect, Bumblebee." This had him unexpectedly overload, causing me to overload when my chamber overfilled. His fluids and mine rushed back out onto his spike, creating a puddle under us. His spike finally depressurized, completely spent after three hard rounds of love making.
"Maybe we should have highgrade more often." He teased, completely breathless. "This is fun."
"Hm, you don't need highgrade to frag me." I kissed his nasal ridge.
"I know…I love that. There is nothing I don't love about you." Our kiss lasted longer than any other before, the love we shared for each other needn't be spoken anymore. "Mmm…we should clean up." He said after a while, unwilling to actually move.
"Yeah?" I wasn't moving either, even though things were starting to dry and becoming uncomfortable. "Come on then…" I purposely stood up so he'd get a view of my abused valve, still leaking a small trail of lubricant; slowly walking away with a sway of my hips. He bit his lip, revving as he stood up to chase me to the washroom. He playfully pushed me into the shower wall, kissing me deeply when he had me trapped.
While he was distracted I turned the water nozzle, surprising him with a warm spray of water.
"Hey…" his tone was playful.
"You looked like you needed to cool down." Steam rolled off his frame as the cooler water hit his hotter frame. I take back what I thought about him being sexy writhing under me, he was more breathtaking like this.
"Me? Who's the one overheating from just looking at me?" This earned him the shower spray straight to his face, I was thankful he had a hand held shower head. "Brat!"
"No!" I laughed as he grabbed it and started spraying me down.
"You're getting a hose down now!" He grabbed me around my waist and proceeded to hose me down, just like he said.
"S-stop! It tickles!" I tried to wiggle away, but he had a good grip on me. "No!" He laughed with me, finally letting go.
"Tease." He kissed my cheek, holding the shower head still. "You know, this thing has a different use. You saw me using one in the other showers, but this one has more settings." I tilted my helm in confusion when he stepped back behind me.
"Settings? For dirt?"
"Oh, no, not just for getting dirt off. You've never used any kind of toys, huh?" The look he gave me made me turn red.
"Toys?" My voice was softer than I meant, coming off as concerned. "What are you saying?"
"Well isn't this fun." He purred, kissing the back of my neck. "I get to teach you something new." I felt him smirk against my protoform. "Come here…" he sat on the shower bench, motioning for me to come sit in his lap. I worried my lower lip as I sat between his legs, feeling him shift so my knees were over his. This allowed him to spread my legs with his peds, pinning mine back against the legs of the bench.
"What are you doing?" I asked, feeling his arm wrap around my waist again to hold me close to his body. The other switched the spray of water to a pulsing stream, his peds pushing back against mine to spread me open, as he aimed the spray at my valve.
"Ah!" I cried out in surprise at the unrelenting pleasure the shower head was giving. I squirmed, trying in vain to get away from the overwhelming pleasure. "No…ah!" Bee kept me anchored to the bench, pressed tightly against his frame as I writhed in his grasp.
"This one's my favorite setting…" he pressed the shower head right against my node, switching to a harder pulsing stream. My scream of pleasure echoed around the shower as I overloaded twice in a row, collapsing against Bee, completely spent.
"You good?" He whispered, turning the shower head away from me. All I could do was nod my head as I tried to recover, my valve still tingling. My body felt heavy yet weightless, practically melting against Bumblebee's frame.
"Please…no more…" I begged, my valve felt like it was swollen from the abuse, I worried I couldn't close back up.
"I won't." I could hear the smile in his voice. I reached forward to shut the water off, feeling his arm let me free to trail his hand down my back strut. "Hm, I think I like this view…" I blushed, turning around to see him staring at my aft.
"Bee…" I rolled my optics as I playfully chastised him. I knew he was going to make a lude comment, but I stopped him by standing up and turning towards him. "You're still revved up, aren't you?"
"Not as bad as when I was in heat, but yeah." His valve panel was still open, his spike housing had locked up after being spent. I guess carriers had a higher interface drive than normal. "I can tell you're spent though, you can hardly stand." He smirked, noting my legs shook a bit as I stood. "You're still standing though…" he stood up, gently pulling me close once more.
"I don't think I can take any more…" my body said yes, but my valve said no more.
"That's fine." He took my hand and led me back into his room, dimming the lights as we headed to his berth. "Come here…" I snuggled into his chassis as we laid down, more than ready to recharge.
"You…wanna merge?" My spark soared at his words.
"Is it safe too?" My chamber was mostly empty, save the water that had gotten trapped.
"Completely." He opened his spark chamber, silently asking me to open up. I eagerly opened mine, leaning over Bee as we pressed together, our sparks leaping towards each other.
"Frag I missed this." Bee said through his spark. "I missed knowing what you were thinking."
"I missed feeling your spark." I agreed, kissing him deeply as our sparks merged together. There was a lot I missed about having a temporary bond with him, but mostly I missed the love we could send one another without speaking.
"You really missed me that much?" He asked, breaking the kiss to look me in the optics.
"Uh-huh." Was all I could get out with all of our feelings swirling together. Something was a bit different this time, but I couldn't tell what it was until the lights went out around us.
"W-what the…?" Bee and I were in the dark void where I received visions, both of us reduced to brightly colored outlines. Bee was a yellow outline, I was my normal teal but where our sparks were connected created a blue-green outline between us. .
"How…did this happen? We're…in the space where I see visions." But instead of pink strings, faint clouds of silvery blue mist surrounded us. Flashes of blue-green light lit the clouds up, like lightning, each time illuminating a faint glimpse of a still framed vision.
"Is…this what you see?" Bee asked, looking around at each flash.
"No…this is new. I've never been able to bring someone with me. I mean…I touched Ironhide and saw a flash of something, but not like this." The still frames were starting to become clearer and started moving like holographic cards, slowly moving back and forth between two frames.
"W-what do those mean?" He asked as one still frame flashed clearly in the mist before us.
"…I said I'm fine…" my voice sounded, but the images were still still, changing frames like someone was turning pages in a comic book.
"Ok, ok, I'm just…worried I guess." Bee's voice resonated around us as the frame changed to the two of us holding hands. "It's not like we were trying or anything…"
"Star…what's going on?" I looked back to Bee's yellow outline, unsure myself.
"It's glimpses into the future…but I never know what they're trying to say unless I focus. They're scrambled right now…" the images and voices didn't sync up all the time, one still was of us kissing but the voice was angry.
"Why in the slag would I love you?!" My voice shouted.
"I don't want to know what happens in that frame…" Bee held me closer.
"Me neither." I focused back on Bee, noticing the stills stayed in focus while I was focused on him. The one that played first came back, this time moving like a bad animation.
"I just can't believe…I mean we…are we ready?!" Bumblebee and I didn't look away from each other, the warmth in our sparks starting to rise as this one played.
"Do we have a choice?" The frame stilled with Bumblebee touching my abdomen. With an audible snap, we were back into reality as we overloaded.
"Starlit?" I slowly onlined my optics, seeing we had closed up soon after. "A-are you carrying?"
"N-no! That vision…didn't seem like it was something going to happen soon." As tired as I was, my systems were now trying to figure out if I was carrying, which would keep me awake. "Besides, how could I be if we haven't merged in a while?"
"Good point…" his optics dimmed as his systems struggled to stay awake. "Sorry…I'm just, I don't know, processing what that was."
"Welcome to my world." I laid back down with my head on his chassis. "Don't think too much about it, it'll drive you crazy." I yawned as I felt recharge take over. What I didn't know is that Bee would worry about me the rest of the night.
