Chapter 6- The Raid

New York City, Chikara Dojo

Danny sat down, looking at the ancient medallion that had been kept on the table in front of them, with Colleen and Claire continuing to stare at it as well.

"So…..if we have this, does that mean their plans have been screwed up?" Claire finally asked.

"No, I've a feeling that they'll try to get it back", Danny informed her before adding. "And this might only be part of it."

"You think there is more?" Colleen inquired.

"Its just a feeling that I have", Danny said with a sigh before getting up. "I didn't really look through the place properly when I retrieved this thing. Just went to the room which had this, then fought the Ninjas, and got out."

Claire started. "And there won't be more waiting for us when we go back because….."

"I broke the place apart when I was getting it", Danny admitted with a sheepish grin and shrug, causing the women to share a look, Claire clearly not having expected that level of power from him. She just thought he was a really good martial artist who could enhance his fighting speed, but he could apparently break apart that house with his power?!

Whoa!

Colleen did not seem that surprised, while Danny started walking off. "I think we might find something there to help us, come on!"

Claire quickly got up, getting her purse, and putting the medallion in it after sharing a look with Colleen, both deciding it was best to keep it close, as Colleen put on her jacket too, and the two women walked after Danny as he walked out of the Chikara Dojo to go back to the secret base of The Hand looking like a house which he'd broken apart with his Iron Fist to get the medallion.

Later

The three stood in front of the mostly collapsed house, Claire cringing. "Wow, you really blew this entire place apart! You sure didn't have a bomb or anything on you?!"

"Nah, one of them did try to use an explosive kunai though", Danny said, Claire's eyes widening.

"Urgggh, this is becoming too much!" Claire groaned, and when she said that, it really meant a lot. The stuff she'd experienced with Matt, Jessica and Luke was crazy, including facing The Hand with Matt, but what she was experiencing with Danny…now that was on a completely new and unexpected level.

"What exactly are you gonna do?" Colleen inquired, curious herself.

Danny shrugged, then they saw as his fist started glowing, Claire's eyes widening since this was her first time seeing. "What in the….."

"The Immortal Iron Fist", Danny said with a smile, and then he knelt down, lifting up part of the rubble easily, surprising Claire more as she got an idea of just what it was that enhancing yourself with chi could do, especially this Dragon chi as Danny put it.

"Well, let's search the place to see if we can find anything", Colleen suggested, running forth where Danny had lifted the rubble, and kneeling, removing smaller pieces to see if she found anything. Claire just stood there for a few seconds, processing everything she was seeing.

After that, she shrugged. Just another crazy day in this crazy city in this crazy world. Aliens were real, Matt could "see" in a way even while blind, Luke had skin which could not be destroyed, so really, mystical energy in the body which allowed people to pull of superhuman and ridiculous feats did not sound that crazy when taking all of that into account.

Just that it came from a different kind of avenue compared to everything else that she had seen so far.

Then, she walked forwards herself, and knelt down next to Colleen, trying to help her dig through the smaller and lighter pieces of the rubble, hoping they could find anything.

"How are we sure we will find anything of use here though?" Colleen then asked as Danny used his chi-enhanced hand to remove more of the heavy rubble, Claire now searching through there. "I mean, with how broken up this place is, I think anything of use might have been crushed badly or just destroyed too."

"While that is not exactly impossible, considering what I've seen The Hand do with their dark chi, who knows if they did something that could preserve the research and instructions they have even under conditions as bad as what we have here?" Danny both inquired and pointed out, and Colleen nodded, conceding to that point of his.

"Instructions for what, how to use that medallion relic that we now have?" Claire asked, Danny lifting more rubble while Colleen searched through that area now, trying to get anything.

"There is that, but I also have a feeling there is more to their plan than just that, its just a part of something bigger", Danny noted, thinking back to everything. "They have shown masterful use of the dark chi that they wield, creating shadows which can trap people, or be hurled as weapons, and so much more. Yet, at the end of the day, it is not chi in its purest form."

"That'd be your chi", Colleen noted, Danny nodding as he removed more heavy rubble using his fist, then knelt down himself, trying to dig through the lighter rubble to see if he could find anything worthwhile. "And even with the dark chi that they have, with those perverted techniques, they've been unable to follow through with whatever plans that they have."

"That's correct, and because of that, I'm thinking that they need my chi for whatever reason", Danny finally told the two of them his suspicions. "The medallion too, it can enhance dark chi, yes, but the effect is not as strong as what it would do for human chi, and especially the Dragon chi that an Iron Fist like me wields. With the increased power, you can see what I did to this place."

The two had to concede to his point, while he continued. "So, whatever their plans are, more than just this relic is involved, and I am part of it somehow."

"Then why have they been trying to kill you so far?" Claire inquired, confused about this now.

"Who knows? Maybe none of them really intended to kill me", Danny sighed, looking ahead. "Maybe they were just testing me. Or maybe they were trying to kill me, and The Hand's plans with my chi do not require me to be alive."

Either way, there were lots of questions in his mind, and not much in the way of answers, so the best thing to do was to keep digging really.

"Guys!" Colleen called out, causing both Danny and Claire to turn where she was, and they noticed her holding what resembled an ancient tablet, with Danny narrowing his eyes as he recognized the writing on it as what he'd seen back in K'un-Lun. "I think I found something important."

"Let's take it back to the Dojo", Danny suggested, the two women nodding. "There we will read and understand what its really trying to say."

Iron Fist intro plays and is shown, displaying a shadowed figure doing martial arts with a dark-greenish background, and it ends with the title screen.

Chikara Dojo

Danny, Colleen and Claire sat back in the Dojo, with the medallion kept nearby, while Danny had the tablet kept in front of them as he read through it himself, due to the other two not being able to understand the language.

For a while, he just continued to read through it, and the two women watched his face, his expression neutral at first, before slowly turning into a frown, and then, his eyes widened, which was enough to alarm the other two, especially Claire.

"What does it say?" Claire was the first to ask now, as Danny looked up at the both of them.

"While it does not say everything, this medallion is somehow part of their plan to unlock massive chi energy", Danny told the both of them. "And with that, they will dominate K'un-Lun, and then the rest of the world."

The expressions of the women, especially Claire, now matched Danny's expression too, before Colleen asked. "Is there anything else? Something concrete that can help us get an idea of how exactly they plan to do all this, with the medallion and whatever else?"

"They haven't explicitly mentioned anything, but there is something connected to the medallion, that is part of their plans", Danny noted, his eyes narrowed. "And it is supposed to be at the center of the two parts of a serpent."

"Now that's one for the ages", Claire said with a groan.

"It would be…but serpents and Dragons have been associated with each other for a long time", Danny told the two of them, picking up the map of New York once more before holding out his hand to Claire, who gave him her pen. "Last time, we'd seen that the pattern formed was the Draco constellation, and the center of it was where we found this medallion. Now, we need to get to the center of a different constellation."

"And which one would that be?" Colleen asked him, Danny putting the pen on the map, as he started drawing an entirely new symbol, Colleen and Claire watching from behind him, until he was finally done.

"The Serpens", Danny told them the name of this constellation, handing Claire her pen. "This one is split into two parts- Serpens Caput is the head, and Serpens Cauda is the tail. Serpens represents a serpent and is held by Ophiuchus, the serpent-bearer."

"You've a lot of knowledge of constellations", Claire commented, impressed. "Part of the curriculum at K'un-Lun?"

"Anything related to Dragon lore was something we all had to learn, including constellations that were related to Dragon shapes", Danny confessed to her. "Dragons are important to our culture, and serpents are intertwined with Dragons in many cultures as well, so we learn everything we can about them all."

"The center between two parts of a serpent", Colleen realized, pointing at where that was drawn on the map. "The part where the head and tail of the Dragon connect, that's where this base of The Hand would be, right?"

"Yeah, that's the place", Danny confirmed grimly. "And considering what I did to their house with the medallion, I know they are going to guard this one even better. Might not even be a house like last time."

"So, going to assault this place too, and get whatever it is they have?" Claire asked Danny with folded arms.

"Well, that's the plan", Danny shrugged.

"And how do you know they won't get you?" Claire inquired after that.

"They haven't been able to get me up until now", Danny said in reply, but Claire shook her head.

"There is always a first time", she told him. "And like you said, security will most likely be tighter this time considering you broke apart the place holding the medallion, and you've been fighting them for a bit now."

"Yeah, there's also the training outpost, and the warehouse where you were led before that, and also those four Operatives", Colleen reminded Danny of most of his fights against them so far. "They've seen what you can do, they will be ready and waiting."

Danny sat down, knowing that both of them were right as he processed their words. "Yeah, the two of you have some good points, guess I'll have to think about this a bit more before I decide to go after them in this area." Besides, he didn't even know what it looked like as of now.

A while later, Colleen looked at her katana, remembering all the times that she'd used it. Bakuto had given it to her, just like he'd given her this dojo about a year ago, and she'd used it so many times while training with him and others of The Hand.

So many memories of this katana, with Bakuto, but now, she was not sure what to make of any of it. Were The Hand really good guys? Sure, she could try and ask Bakuto, but its not like he was giving any straight answers.

He was only deflecting the questions she asked and bringing up what he'd done for her in the past to make her stop asking questions in the first place and take his words at face value.

How was she supposed to trust him when he did not tell her important things, and even deflected it all and gaslighted her with the past when she did ask him about it?

Danny was meditating inside, preparing mentally for the big fight, while Claire seemed to be writing a letter, most likely to that guy important to her who'd sent her that letter the other day from prison.

She really cared a lot about him, clearly.

Colleen remembered Claire mentioning about her own incident with The Hand, but she had not heard the full details, that Claire had told to Danny. Colleen had dismissed that as some sort of misunderstanding earlier, since Claire was a good person, and she'd thought The Hand were good as well, but now, she was having huge doubts about how noble and righteous The Hand truly was.

Perhaps talking to Claire and getting a clearer picture of this incident would finally help her make her decision at long last.

She walked up in front of where Claire was sitting, and pulled up her own chair, sitting down on it.

"Hey Claire."

"Hey." Claire looked up.

"I wanted to ask you something", Colleen confessed, and Claire raised an eyebrow.

"About?"

"Your encounter with The Hand", Colleen finally said to her. "I know you told Danny about it earlier, but I only heard little bits and pieces of it. If its okay with you, would you tell me what it was that happened with them?"

Claire sighed, putting down her pen and folding up her letter for now, after which she looked back up into the other woman's eyes.

"They'd kidnapped some kids, and were draining them of their blood", Claire revealed, and Colleen's eyes widened in horror.

What the Hell?! The Hand was…what?!

"Really?" Colleen asked in utter disbelief.

"Yes", Claire said with a nod, and then continued. "The friend of mine who was fighting them managed to save the kids and bring them to the hospital. They were all really out of it."

"What happened to them?" Colleen inquired, having a very bad feeling about this already.

"One of the kids killed his own father", Claire now said, only increasing Colleen's horror. "Then The Hand attacked the hospital to get the kids back, and my friend fought them." A tear rolled down Claire's cheek that she managed to wipe away. "They killed a friend of mine. I managed to kill one of them but was almost killed as well until my friend fighting them saved my life. And they got away with the kids."

"…." Colleen did not know what to say for a while, just processing everything that Claire had just said. The Hand, they had kidnapped children, and drained them of their blood for whatever reason.

And when saved, the kids were so out of it that one of them had even killed his own father?!

Then they'd attacked the hospital to get these kids back, killed Claire's friend, and even almost killed Claire until her friend who was their enemy had saved her life?!

This did not sound like a misunderstanding to her. Claire was a good person, and her story with the drained kids was the truth, she could hear it in her voice and see it in her eyes.

Plus, its not like Claire secretly knew Colleen was part of The Hand so she was not making this up to convince Colleen to defect from them.

How could a righteous and noble organization like The Hand do something like that to children? This was not right at all!

She might have asked Bakuto about it, but considering all the deflecting and gaslighting he'd done recently, she knew he would not give her a straight answer, and just try to make it sound like the situation was not as bad as what Claire was saying right now.

Then there was Danny. He'd just met her, yes, but he trusted her, and very open and honest, telling her about his time in K'un-Lun, and all the feelings and pressures he'd felt, plus even telling her some things about his techniques and the chi, which he had no obligation to do.

He also respected her as a fellow warrior and saw her as an equal, based on the two sparring matches that they had with each other so far.

Right now, all she could see was that Bakuto was lying to her, The Hand had abducted and hurt children of all people really badly, and Danny was a good man and warrior who was honest with her and saw her as an equal to himself.

She now knew which side she needed to really take.

"I'm so sorry, Claire", Colleen finally apologized, putting a hand to her shoulder as Claire nodded.

"Thanks."

That was when Danny came out, having just finished his meditation, Claire asking him. "Made any plans?"

Danny started. "Well-"

That was when Colleen got up. "I'm coming with you!"

Danny looked at her in surprise, as did Claire, and then the former started. "Colleen, you let me live and sleep here, there is no-"

"If The Hand are as bad and as dangerous as you both say, they need to be stopped, and you need all the help you can get", Colleen said in a tone that left no room for arguments, then walked to her katana and picked it up. "You've seen how I fight, Danny. You know I can help."

As Danny looked at her, she did a flourish with her katana. "Let's take them out together."

After a moment, Danny smiled and nodded, accepting her help.

"Together."

Time for the raid on the Hand's base now.

Later

Danny and Colleen were now finally in the area where the connection between the serpent's head and body was in the drawing of the constellation that Danny had made on the map.

It was a small apartment building, of five floors, with a gate for entry right in front of them.

"You really think this is it?" Colleen asked Danny, keeping a grip on her katana.

"Last place looked like a normal house", Danny reminded her.

"Good point. What should we do?"

"Knock?"

"All right, has to be a very loud knock."

"My thoughts exactly."

With that, the two walked up to the gate, and first looked around to see that no one was looking. Then, they climbed up the gate together, and jumped onto the other side, before walking further in, which was when arrows were fired at them.

Danny flipped to avoid as Colleen leaned back, and then deflected with her katana as two more of those came at her, while Danny lit up his fist and held it up, deflecting more arrows while the two continued running towards the apartment.

"There is something related to chi here, just like the medallion", Danny said to her. "I can feel it."

But; he felt something else. Another kind of chi, completely different from human chi, dark chi, and even his own Dragon chi.

This felt….evil.

With that, he rushed further in punched the entry door of the apartment open, causing the door and the nearby walls to shatter and burst, the rubble falling here and there, as two men with axes inside were sent flying back from the force of it.

The Iron Fist stopped glowing, as Danny and Colleen made their way inside, looking at the elevator ahead, a long hallway in between them, doors on either side, and stairs for the next floor too, while men with axes stood in their way.

"You wanna bet the elevator is under their control?" Colleen asked Danny

"I'd say so", Danny agreed, just as the men charged them. Danny stepped to the front, and his Iron Fist glowed before he punched one of them, sending him flying off and crashing into some other men, all of them falling down, while the Iron Fist stopped glowing.

Danny then blocked one's strike and elbowed him out before blocking the other and punching him into the wall, and as another charged him, Danny grasped his wrist and flipped ahead of him, then he punched two away in quick succession while spinning around and smacking the one behind him.

Another tried to strike but Danny grasped his wrist and punched him out, and punched another with both fists, sending him crashing into the wall. One more struck but Danny stopped his wrist and elbowed him out, before grabbing another's hands and elbowing him out too.

As one more attacked, Danny grabbed his hand and slammed him into the wall really hard. Then he grabbed the next one by the neck in a hold and threw him off before flipping another away and punching another. One more struck but Danny dodged while grabbing him and pinning another to the wall with his foot, and then he choked the one he'd grabbed out while kicking the other out.

Two more attacked but Danny smashed them into each other, before elbowing one in the chest and punching another, after which he quickly punched two more away. Then he punched a third, and a fourth. And then a fifth and a sixth. Then a seventh and an eighth, before punching the final one in front of him who crashed to the ground.

Then one more walked up to him but Danny kicked him away, before leaping back to avoid a swing of a Ninja's sword, and backed to avoid another swing, before leaning side-ways to avoid a stab, and then he continued stepping back to avoid more swings, before leaping backwards and kicking that one on the chin, sending him flying up and falling to the ground, the sword falling from his hand.

Danny tried to slam his foot down on the man but he rolled away and got up while lifting his sword to avoid, thrusting it at Danny again who dodged, and as the man swung again, Danny kicked his sword hand, disarming him, and then punched his other hand, before their fists clashed.

Even without the Iron Fist, Danny's punch was strong, and the Ninja felt a crack in his arm's bones, gasping in pain as Danny punched his chest, sending him flying off and finally knocking him out.

Danny looked behind at Colleen, sharing a nod with her, and then the two of them ran up the stairs, Danny not stopping at the next floor, and running up the stairs to the third, but before Colleen could follow, she saw Ninjas, both male and female coming out of the doors on the hallway of the second floor to fight her.

One female Ninja tried to punch Colleen who dodged both her strikes, then grabbing her, kneed her out, before blocking another female Ninja's kick and kicking her foot, making her fall down, which was when a male Ninja rushed at her but she kicked his chest, sending him down. One more made to kick but she blocked, then smacked his face before punching him out.

Another made to punch but she blocked and kicked his chest, making him double down before she kicked his face, knocking him out. Another came at her but was kicked on the chest too, going on his knees, after which Colleen spun and kicked his face, knocking him out too. One more tried to strike her but Colleen dodged while grasping his wrist, and twisted it, making him gasp, after which she grabbed him fully and flipped him down, kicking him out, when a female Ninja charged her but Colleen kicked her face, sending her out as well.

Another one tried to attack from behind but Colleen spun while dodging his punch and grabbing his wrist, punched his face before kicking his feet as he went to his knees, and then she kicked his face as he went down. One more grabbed Colleen from behind, but Colleen elbowed her, making her let go as Colleen spun while grasping her wrist and punched her chest, sending her to her knees, and then Colleen spun in the air, kicking her on the face as she was knocked out.

A last one attacked Colleen who leapt back to avoid and kicked her on the chest, making her double down in pain, after which Colleen slammed her foot on top of the Ninja, finally knocking her out.

Danny was on the next floor, where more Ninjas were facing him, ready to battle. One of them charged with a kick that Danny backed to avoid, then spin-kicked him out, before kicking another charging Ninja down, then another, and then he spin-kicked one more of them down, before spin-kicking another right on the face as he went down too.

One came close and threw a punch but Danny ducked to avoid and punched his face, then leapt and kicked him away, before blocking another one's kick and kicking him so hard he went down as well. As another threw a kick, Danny dodged and decked his abdomen, before kicking him down, and as one more charged, Danny whacked his head and kicked him out.

Spinning, he kicked another so hard he was sent flying and spinning, then falling to the ground, and after that, Danny swept the feet of two of them from underneath them, and climbing another, kneed his face as he was knocked out too, then kicked another one behind him out.

Two more tried to attack together, Danny blocking their blows before spinning and knocking one down when the other punched him down, but Danny kicked him away from the ground, and spinning, swept another's feet from underneath him while getting back up.

One Ninja leapt with a kick that Danny blocked, and then kicked his chest twice as he was sent down, and then one more charged with a punch but Danny dodged by side-stepping and kicked his feet from behind as he went down, Danny smacking his chest for good measure.

Danny then blocked another's blow and kicked him away before spinning to block a punch as he flipped the Ninja down, and then two attacked him from either side, Danny blocking their blows and dodging their kicks while successively hitting each of them, and then he kicked both of them out in quick succession.

After that, he spin-kicked one more Ninja on the face as he was knocked out, and as two more charged him from either side, Danny leapt into the air and kicked them both down, before climbing another and kicking him down, then blocking another's blow and dodging another while spinning around, after which Danny lifted his foot high and kicked that Ninja down too.

Years ago, K'un-Lun

Danny and Davos were walking together, holding big cartons of milk as Lei Kung walked ahead of them both, the three running with a skip in their steps.

Danny and Davos were both giving the milk to people in the city, and after one delivery, Lei Kung noted. "The next one is one kilometer."

Davos gasped. "There's more?"

"Of course there is more!" Lei Kung told him, then pointed at a tree-line in front of them. "We'll go through there in a zig-zag line. Come on!" With that, the three started making their way around the trees in a zig-zag motion, Lei Kung in the front, Danny behind him, and Davos at the back.

'What a waste!' Davos thought to himself. He was going to be the Iron Fist one day, why waste his time with this pointless milk delivery training?

Seeing that Lei Kung and Danny were still busy running around in the zig-zag motion, Davos started running ahead in a straight line instead.

"Davos, you can withdraw from the Tournament for the Iron Fist if you want."

He looked to his side to see Lei Kung having emerged from next to a tree during his zig-zag motion, and gulped.

"Forgive me master, Lei Kung, I won't do it again." With that, he ran back on the path up till where he'd started running straight, and started running in a zig-zag motion again, Lei Kung looking at him in concern.

Danny, meanwhile, had just come running up to him while running in the zig-zag motion, and Lei Kung looked down at him, impressed.

"Is this to help with the chi flow, sifu?" Danny asked his master, who nodded.

"Chi flows through your entire being, not just the fist. It is not just a weapon; it lives and breathes as you. Flowing through body, hardening the skin, calming the mind, and strengthening the soul."

Danny nodded, and continued running in the zig-zag motion.

Present Day, New York City

Danny looked down at the downed Hand Ninjas, then walked forth. A ninja charged at him with a roar. Danny blocked the ninja's strikes, smacked him across the face and hit him on the knee, putting him down.

Another attacked but he blocked with his left wrist before tripping him with the other. He then hit his knee very hard and it broke as the ninja yelled in pain.

Another attacked from behind but he turned in time to block. He then hit him thrice on the chest with his normal fist and then tripped him with the other, breaking his leg.

Another attacked him. He grabbed him by the back of the head, hit him on the side of his neck with his hand so hard that he went numb and kicked him away.

Another attacked him with his sword but he blocked by grabbing his wrist twice and hit him in the abdomen with his fist, sending him down.

Another attacked and he blocked by grabbing his hand quickly with both of his before hitting him squarely on the chest with one fist and then on the side of the neck, making him numb and sending him down.

The ninja whom he had sent down before this one got back up to attack. Danny blocked his attack, punched him on the face and kicked him in a spin motion, sending him down again.

Two ninjas attacked him simultaneously and he blocked with his arms. He smacked one in his stomach with his hand, sending him down. The other was smacked on the chest.

The one who was smacked on the stomach tried to slash with his sword again but Danny ducked and hit him on the face with his fist, sending him down. The one who was smacked on the chest tried to attack again. Danny tried to hit him but he ducked. He tried to attack again but Danny grabbed his hand. He managed to free himself and tried to slice Danny's legs with his sword but Danny hit him on the chest exactly at the point he had hit previously and he became numb and fell down.

A ninja roared behind him and charged. Danny blocked his sword by briefly grabbing his wrist with his own and smacked him across the face with his fist. He then kicked him on the knee in a spin motion, sending him down.

Another tried to attack him from behind. Danny turned in time to engage him. He tried to slice Danny but he grabbed his hand, hit him on the elbow, grabbed him by the back of the head and kneed him. He then smashed his head against the wall.

Another ninja tried to decapitate him but he ducked, hit him on the chest with his fist and then on the knee, breaking it and sending him down. He then hit him on the nose with his fist and he was out.

Another attacked him but he blocked twice, hit him on the nose with a punch, then on the chest and then on the side of the neck, making him numb and sending him down. As another ninja attacked, he blocked. The ninja tried to kick but he stepped back a little. He then hit him on one knee and he was sent down. Danny hit him on the other too and he was out.

As another attacked, he blocked and hit him on the shoulder. The ninja tried to elbow him but he ducked. The ninja brandished a knife but he grabbed his hand with both of his, turned around, hit him twice on the chest with his stick and kicked him away.

Danny stepped back to avoid another ninja's kick and kicked him away. He then blocked another ninja's kick and elbowed him on the chest. He was about to hit him with a punch but a ninja grabbed his hand from behind. Danny turned and hit him on the nose, breaking it and sending him down.

The previous one tried to attack again but he kicked him on the knee and hit him on the shoulder with his stick, sending him down.

A ninja grabbed him from behind and started dragging him away. Danny elbowed him on his side thrice, grabbed him by the back of the head and flipped him to the ground. He then twisted his arm, breaking it. A kick on the chest sent him down.

Another ninja attacked but he blocked. The ninja tried to elbow him but he blocked again and sent him down with a punch to the cheek. Another attacked but he blocked and kneed him on the chest, sending him down.

The previous one attacked again but he flipped behind him, grabbed him by the back of the head and kneed him on the nose, sending him down. The one whose chest he had kneed got up again.

Danny blocked all of his punches with his fists, kneed him on the chest again, grabbed him by the back of the head and smashed it on a light and then repeatedly on the wall till he was down. He then threw him away.

Colleen was about to make her way up when her phone rang, and seeing who it was, she accepted the call.

"Why are you helping him?!" Bakuto asked Colleen angrily. "Are you trying to betray everything we've stood for? Everything that you have stood for?!"

"Well, if you stand for the noble and righteous, you betrayed what you're standing for yourself", Colleen said in reply with a scoff, and could already imagine Bakuto's face.

"What are you even trying to imply?"

"The kids, Claire told me all about them", Colleen said to Bakuto in disgust. "How The Hand drained them of their blood, and one of them was crazy enough to kill his own father, and then they attacked a hospital of all places to get the kids back, and killed her friend, a nurse!"

Bakuto started. "Look, Colleen-"

"If you are so noble, why do something like that to little children?" Colleen asked, shuddering as she imagined her little self being drained of blood all of a sudden. Would they have done that to her if she'd not complied?

"That was a different faction of The Hand, their actions do not reflect on our faction."

"So you do know about it", Colleen shrugged, her anger only increasing. "All you're doing when I ask you something is deflect the question or remind me of the past to make me stop asking."

"And you should, Colleen, this doubt does not suit you if you are to train our recruits at your dojo."

Colleen's eyes widened. "What? I thought that was just to help troubled young kids."

"That is how we planned to start, but after being trained by you, they could be part of something greater, and help cleanse the world of the rot in it."

Colleen shook her head, realizing just how bad this was. "Stay away from those kids, Bakuto, I'll do anything to protect them, even from you."

"Colleen-"

"And I can see The Hand for what they are now, doesn't matter which faction", Colleen said in disgust. "I'm coming for you. All of you. I have chosen a side, Bakuto. And its Danny's side."

With that, she cut the call, and then blocked Bakuto's number, before making her way up.

Danny dropped his jacket as he glared at more Ninjas around him, and rolled up his sleeves, prepared to fight them all. One of them charged him with a hanbo as Danny dodged while kicking another away, then grasped another's wrist and spun, making his hanbo clash with another's, and then he kicked the other out before punching the previous one and spinning him around, trapping his throat via his hanbo, glaring at the others.

Then he spun around and hurled the Ninja into various others, knocking them all down. As the rest charged to attack, Danny rolled on the ground while holding the hanbo of the one he'd thrown while grabbing another, and blocked attacks by the rest, before smacking one out, then smacking many of them with both hanbos, and taking one out by hitting him quickly with both.

More charged him as he blocked and struck two of them quickly, taking them down, and then smacked two of them down with both the hanbos, and did the same to more of them in quick succession by hitting their feet, and blocking two more, smacked them out quickly, while hitting another one thrice.

He then blocked another one's strike and whacked him out, then grabbed the wrists of two of them before twisting, making them gasp, and as one charged him, Danny kicked the back of the foot of one he was holding, sending him into that one, and flipped the other down before smacking more of them with his hanbos.

As more charged him, he smacked one out, then blocked and smacked another out, then smacked a third out, before smacking two more out in quick succession, and then blocking and smacking more down.

Then, three charged him together, and Danny blocked their strikes while backing off, then spun around and lifted the hanbos, knocking two of them out, before spinning and hitting the middle one, knocking him out as well.

Standing amongst the downed fighters, Danny panted, before turning to see Colleen arrive, and waved at her with a hanbo. "So, find anything?" Colleen was too surprised to respond, and gestured at the stairs leading to the fourth floor, so they climbed to that floor now.

Danny sounded excited as they moved to the fourth floor. "I always thrived for a good fight, but man, all these constant life or death fights, it's giving me a rush! I feel high! Am I high? It feels so much like the good days back in K'un-Lun."

"Okay, punchy, let's take a minute." Colleen grabbed Danny's arms and kept him still. "Take a minute and calm down."

"Calm? I am calm, I'm the calmest I've been, watch how calm I am." Blinking, Colleen had to think on what he just said. Danny really was thriving on the fights, maybe a bit too much, she could barely hear him with how fast he's talking.

"Remember to breath." She started breathing deeply, which Danny mimicked, after a few more times, he was settled. "Good, for a minute there, you seemed like a kid on a sugar rush."

"I can't help it, I always seemed to improve after each fight, invigorated. My sifu said it was rare talent."

"How about you let me take care of what's next and you just keep calm when whatever you sensed enters the picture?"

Danny nodded, agreeing, and then the two moved on, arriving at the next floor.

As they walked, a Ninja walked up to them, only for Colleen to punch him back, then elbow him thrice before kicking him down, while the doors started opening.

One charged at her from behind but she dodged by backing off, then put her foot on his knee before kicking him out. Another tried to punch but she grasped his wrist and kicked his side, then his abdomen, before spin-kicking him as he went flying and fell down. She turned around as one more tried to punch but she grasped his wrist and kneed him twice before pushing her foot back to kick away another charging from behind, then kneed the one she'd grasped again and threw him down.

As another charged, Colleen grasped his wrist while spinning and kicked his abdomen before throwing him down, then leapt and kicked another one away with both feet. As one more tried to knee, Colleen pushed her back, then dodged a punch and blocked another before punching her back, after which Colleen kicked her hard, knocking her out.

Then she spun and ducked to avoid a punch while elbowing the Ninja, and punched another away, before kneeing the previous and kicking the other out, and spun the other one she'd kneed to the ground. Another Ninja tried to kick but Colleen blocked her kicks, then blocked a punch before being elbowed back, then tried to punch as the Ninja blocked and punched her abdomen, but Colleen kneed her chest thrice and threw her down.

Colleen then turned and backed to avoid a strike before grabbing the Ninja's hand and spinning him, kicking another one away, after which she wrapped her feet around the Ninja's arm and broke it, before knocking him out. As the one she'd kicked tried to kick again, Colleen grabbed his foot and elbowed him out.

One more walked to Colleen and tried to punch but she punched his elbow so hard he grasped it in pain, and then he tried to punch with the other one but she punched that elbow too and he was in pain once more. Then Colleen punched his chest twice and kicked him down.

As another charged, Colleen grasped his wrist, kicked his chest, spun him around and threw him to the ground before grabbing his foot and pressing her own on it, breaking it. Then she kneed the previous one she'd thrown down out, and kneed the other one out too while sliding on the ground.

Another tried to punch but Colleen grasped his wrist and broke it before spin-kicking him out, and as one more charged, Colleen spun and kicked her neck, sending her down too.

Then, she looked back at Danny, who nodded and smirked, impressed, while she gestured to the stairs. "I guess we'll find what you sensed up there."

The two walked up the stairs, and reached the final floor, filled with equipment here and there, some manner of strange and big device with ancient markings of K'un-Lun in the corner that seemed to have ancient stonework but looked modern too, and in front of them was Bakuto himself, as well as some more Ninjas.

Colleen looked at Bakuto with wide eyes, who glared at her in anger, but Danny got his attention with a "Hey".

Bakuto turned to face Danny instead, and a smile graced his lips.

"It is my pleasure to meet you, Immortal Iron Fist of-"

"Got to stop you right there. I've been punching and kicking my way through hordes of your goons, who have repeatedly tried to inflict bodily harm, or outright kill me. I think we're well past pleasantries."

Danny gestured to the device in the corner, sensing the Dragon chi was coming from that one. "What is that thing?"

Bakuto shrugged. "Just something we use."

The evil chi was coming from within Bakuto himself, Danny realized as he stared at the man, raising a brow.

"Here I thought all bad guys loved to talk about their evil plans."

"Naivety suits you well, Danny", Bakuto quipped.

"So, sue me if I wanted to catch a break for once."

Danny tried to throw a punch as Bakuto blocked, and then Danny leapt, trying to wrap his feet around Bakuto's neck but Bakuto pushed him to the ground instead, and Danny threw a few punches which Bakuto blocked, then tried to kick as Danny dodged, and then he cartwheeled to avoid another blow before trying to kick as Bakuto rolled away to avoid.

As Bakuto stood up, Danny kicked his face, but before Danny could strike again, Bakuto recovered, glaring at Danny, who felt the evil chi get stronger. Danny tried to throw a punch but Bakuto spun and kicked him down.

Danny got up to punch but Bakuto dodged by backing, then threw a kick which Danny dodged, and got to his other side, but Bakuto kicked him away into a couch while smirking, as Danny glared and stood up, then threw a kick that sent Bakuto down, and as Bakuto tried to get up, Danny kicked his face and sent him off again.

Bakuto looked at him, and got back up, as Danny kicked a table to his side away, then threw a punch that Bakuto dodged, and tried to punch again as Bakuto blocked, before punching Danny's face as he staggered back, and Bakuto punched him again, then smacked him back.

Then he tried to punch and knee but Danny blocked, only for Bakuto to elbow him into a table behind him, and then Bakuto continued to punch, knee and elbow him, Danny blocking some and being hit by others as the table behind him was pushed back due to the fight.

Danny pushed Bakuto back as Bakuto tried to spin kick but Danny ducked to avoid, and threw a punch which was blocked and Bakuto punched him back, after which Danny threw a punch but Bakuto kicked his abdomen first, then punched his chest, before kicking him back into a chair, that Danny lifted and tried to smash on him but Bakuto dodged as the chair shattered on the table, and then Bakuto punched Danny away.

Bakuto then kneed Danny and tried to punch but Danny grasped his wrist and then held him in a chokehold, only for Bakuto to elbow him, grab his hair and throw him down. Danny grabbed Bakuto's feet and pulled him down, but was kicked away, and got back up as Bakuto did the same. Danny tried to punch but Bakuto spin-kicked him back, and then Danny tried to punch but Bakuto blocked and punched him back, before punching his face.

Danny tried to spin-kick as Bakuto dodged, then blocked his strikes and dodged a kick while sweeping Danny's feet from underneath him as he fell down, and then Bakuto kicked him away into a chair, and Danny grabbed it, while panting, seeing just how dangerous Bakuto was, due to both the evil chi and his fighting skills. To beat him, Danny needed to reevaluate his own fighting style.

Colleen was surrounded by Bakuto's men, and as one tried to punch, she blocked with her sheathed katana, then pinned his wrist down with it, and he accidentally started unsheathing it. Colleen snatched it back and smacked him with the hilt, throwing him down, then spun and smacked another down while striking the other's feet, then smacking him out.

She spun and blocked another's blow before smacking him out, and quickly took two more down, before they all got up, unsheathing their knives.

Colleen partially unsheathed her katana, and as one attacked from behind, she sliced his arm, then smacked him out, and smacked another's feet before slicing him, and then hit another with the hilt before slicing the side of his neck, and sliced the abdomen of another non-lethally, and spinning, got behind him before slicing him down as well.

Danny remembered Lei Kung's words.

"Like I said, fight. That is all. If you truly are a fighter, you will adapt in time, figure out their fighting styles, and come out on water, you must change your form, adapt to any challenge you face. Shapeless, as you flow around your enemy, then crash like a wave."

And then, he got back up, holding the chair, before pushing it away. He walked towards Bakuto, who tried to kick but Danny easily avoided and got on his other side, then threw some punches that Bakuto blocked, and he tried to punch but Danny got on his other side. They traded more punches, and Danny blocked a kick before throwing punches that Bakuto blocked.

As he tried to kick, Danny spun and kicked Bakuto down instead into another chair. Bakuto got up, as Danny threw a kick which he dodged, then he threw a kick which Danny dodged, and then they blocked or dodged each other's blows, Danny leaning back to avoid Bakuto's kick, only for Bakuto to sweep his feet from underneath him, but Danny blocked his attempted elbow.

He grabbed Danny's throat while Danny wrapped his feet from around him, and punched him a few times, making him let go. He stood up but Bakuto punched him away, and both stood up, only for Bakuto to punch Danny back and knee him down, but Danny got back up and blocked a kick and punch, then blocked more punches while getting on Bakuto's other side and pushed him back, before trying to spin and smack him but Bakuto ducked to avoid.

Bakuto threw a kick which Danny blocked, and leapt to avoid another, before blocking a punch and kicking Bakuto's face as he went down, but Danny punched him so hard he was sent flying off, spitting out blood.

Groaning in pain, Bakuto stood up, and told Danny. "The medallion you stole, it enhanced chi, and we used it to enhance ours, to use the chi to try and open a portal to K'un-Lun." Danny's eyes widened as he realized this wasn't just about New York, but also K'un-Lun, and the rest of the world.

Bakuto added. "The Iron Fist was never meant to stop us. You don't even know the true purpose of your power, do you?"

Danny kicked Bakuto into the wall, then threw two punches, an uppercut, and two more, before grabbing Bakuto and pushing him to the other side, after which Bakuto grabbed him but he punched him twice, then pushed him off, before Bakuto punched Danny back.

Danny lit up his Iron Fist, then leapt, using it to hit Bakuto right on the face, as Bakuto was sent flying back, and falling down. But he got back up, spitting out blood, Danny realizing this evil chi, whatever it was, had helped him resist this.

Bakuto smirked. "Show me your true power."

Danny charged again, punching Bakuto with the Iron Fist into the device, but Bakuto spit out blood, and smirked, causing Danny to charge with the Iron Fist again.

This time, Bakuto dodged, and the device was struck. To Danny's shock, the markings on it started glowing, and the power and shockwave of the blow shattered half the building, causing the rubble to blow outside, as the rest were sent flying off.

The other Hand Operatives all picked themselves up and started running, avoiding any debris, as Danny and Colleen backed off to avoid it too, and Danny smirked at Bakuto, only for Bakuto to smirk back, as the glow on the device got brighter.

"This device is how we channelled the chi within us to try and open the portal. But while formidable our chi was impure and couldn't do it", Bakuto said, then pointed at Danny. "Yours could!"

Danny's eyes widened as slowly, a rip appeared in the space before them, and slowly started enlarging, briefly showing a flash of K'un-Lun, after which it started widening.

"Slowly, this portal will widen and fully open, and then, we shall cross through to K'un-Lun", Bakuto revealed, Danny looking horrified as Bakuto glared at Colleen one last time, then ran off alongside his Operatives, Danny and Colleen staring at the portal, that was opening slowly, in utter horror.

Danny realized the battle was just beginning.

Ending credits play.

"Episode" 6 is now over, and it was a huge action bonanza. First, our Heroes found an old tablet which said the medallion is connected to something found in the apartment they attacked.

Colleen now knows the truth about The Hand and has chosen Danny's side pretty much.

Then they attacked the apartment and we got so many fights, thank you to Brainstorm Sorcerer for all fight suggestions.

First one was from 'Once Upon a Time in Shanghai' with Phillip Ng, then Colleen's first fight was 'Girl vs 11 ( Fight Choreography ) Czech Action Crew' by Czech Action Crew – CAC on YouTube.

Danny's next fight was 'Fabien Garcia vs 10 Black Belts (Die Fighting) - 1080p HD' by Kung Fu Fights on YouTube, then we had the famous and masterful hallway fight scene from Iko Uwais' 'The Raid', and then a fight of Jet Li from 'Kiss of the Dragon'.

Colleen's next fight was 'Choreography Practice - Amy vs Many' by RivenX3i on YouTube, and her last one was 'Demon Blade' by James Newman on YouTube, while Danny vs. Bakuto was from 'Wheels on Meals' with Jackie Chan vs Benny Urquidez.

The training scene was from early 'Dragon Ball' when Master Roshi trained Goku and Krillin, thank you to gussygus28 for the suggestion.

Now, Danny's chi has been channelled through the device and a portal to K'un-Lun is slowly opening and widening.

Hope all enjoyed and see you all next time with another chapter.
