Hi guys, this is my first fic. This is honestly just a test. If I think the first chapter turns out good, then I will try to update the story. I have most of the major plot points in mind, so... wish me luck.
By the way, English is basically my second language, however I'm no Shakespeare, but I will try nonetheless.
Feel free comment your suggestions for the development of the story, also please try to correct me in any grammatical or structural errors you may encounter, thank you and enjoy :)
Age 767
Anger. Anger was all he could feel, but in the midst of it, he could hear his father's voice: "DO IT NOW, GOHAN!" And so he did, releasing the last bit of energy into his greatest Kamehameha. The force of his blast was enough to envelop the one from his opponent, the terrible android Cell.
"BUT I AM PERFECT!" was all Gohan could hear before the bio-mechanical warrior got vaporized by the sheer power of the blast.
As the dust settled, the battlefield lay silent, marked by the scars of an epic struggle. Craters and torn earth stretched for miles, remnants of the clash between Gohan and Cell. The Z Fighters, battered and exhausted, slowly gathered their bearings, their eyes scanning the devastation for any sign of their young savior.
"GUYS, H-HE DID IT!" shouted Yamcha, his voice breaking the silence. He stood tall but weary, his long, shaggy black hair matted with sweat and dirt. His scarred face showed relief, and his tattered blue and orange gi flapped in the light breeze. Despite the exhaustion, his dark eyes were alight with hope, a rare moment of pure joy crossing his usually confident expression.
Tien, his tall, muscular frame silhouetted against the smoky horizon, placed a hand on Yamcha's shoulder, his calm demeanor steadying the group. His white tunic and green sash were dirtied, and his three eyes were all focused forward, intense and observant. Tien rarely showed his emotions, but the relief was clear in the set of his jaw and the slight relaxation in his stance. "We owe him… he went beyond anything we could have imagined."
Beside him, Krillin let out a shaky laugh, relief washing over his face. Standing at 5 feet tall, Krillin's bald head glistened with sweat, and he looked almost fragile in his ragged orange gi, now ripped and stained from battle. But his wide, expressive eyes were filled with pride and admiration, and he clutched his fist to his chest in a gesture of quiet victory. "I can't believe it," he said softly. "Gohan really did it."
But the celebration was short-lived.
"YOU IDIOTS, WHERE THE HELL IS GOHAN!" came a sharp, commanding voice. Piccolo's usually composed face was twisted with urgency and a hint of fear, his green skin darkened by bruises and cuts, his long white cape torn and fluttering around him. The tall, muscular Namekian's onyx black eyes scanned the ruins, a rare vulnerability slipping into his expression as he realized he could neither see, hear or most importantly sense Gohan.
The others fell silent, the weight of his words settling heavily in their chests. Gohan had unleashed every last ounce of his energy to destroy Cell, putting his life on the line in a way none of them had anticipated. There was no telling what had become of him in the aftermath.
"Don't worry, Piccolo," said Krillin, though his voice trembled. He tried to hide the worry in his face, which was now showing faint lines of age and battle-worn experience. "He must have passed out from the energy drain. We'll find him."
Yet even as he spoke, Krillin's gaze drifted over the ruined landscape, his heart pounding with uncertainty. Gohan had pushed beyond his limits, and the thought of losing him now was too much to bear.
Off to the side, Vegeta stood with his arms crossed, silent and brooding. His flame-like black hair rose defiantly, and his Saiyan armor—now cracked and scratched—clung to his muscular form. Though his face remained impassive, a flicker of something darker lurked in his sharp, narrowed eyes. Pride? Jealousy? It was impossible to tell. He muttered under his breath, "He'd better be alive." He refused to show how much it hurt that Kakarot's son, not him, had been the one to end the battle. But even Vegeta couldn't ignore the sick feeling of loss gnawing at him.
The silence grew heavier as they spread out across the battlefield, each step filled with mounting anxiety. Piccolo's patience broke, and he called out with a desperation that was rare for him, "Gohan! Can you hear me?!"
Only silence answered. Piccolo clenched his fists, his teeth grinding as he struggled to keep his composure. He closed his eyes, reaching out as far as his senses would allow, pushing himself to feel any trace of Gohan's energy. But there was nothing—only an empty void where his student's presence should have been.
Gohan wasn't just another warrior to Piccolo; he was family, his first real friend. The very idea of losing him twisted something inside Piccolo's heart."Where the hell are you, kid?" he muttered while looking at the blue sky.
Somewhere in Britannia (700 years before the events of seven deadly sins)
Gohan slowly blinked awake, disoriented and in pain. The air was warm, almost comforting, but every breath sent a sharp sting through his body. He tried to get up, but a mixture of exhaustion and pain weighed heavily on him, a reminder of the fierce battle against Cell. Memories flooded back—his father's urgent voice urging him on, the climactic moment when he unleashed his power, and then the terrible aftermath. A wave of sorrow washed over him at the thought of his father, gone after believing in him to the very end.
As he lay on a pile of soft leaves atop a rock, Gohan took a moment to absorb his surroundings. The cave was surprisingly spacious, with rough stone walls that seemed to cradle him in their embrace. Bright light from the outside world illuminated the cave, casting gentle shadows that danced across the rocky surface. The air smelled earthy and he could hear the faint sound of water flowing somewhere in the distance.
Suddenly, the quiet of the cave was broken by soft but loud footsteps approaching. Gohan turned and was startled to see a giantess standing at the mouth of the cave, towering at least five or six times his height. She looked about his age, with back-length brown hair, striking purple eyes and pale skin. Her light brown rags were tattered but covered most of her body, giving her a rugged yet gentle appearance.
"Hi there!" she exclaimed cheerfully, crouching down so her face was closer to his level, a little too close. Gohan was taken aback by her sudden closeness, his heart racing. "You're awake! I was starting to worry!"
Gohan blinked, still trying to process her presence. "Who are you?" he asked, his voice a hesitant whisper.
"I'm Diane!" she replied with a bright smile. "I found you passed out in the forest and brought you here so you could rest. You were hurt really badly."
"Thank you" Gohan faintly smiled.
"It's no problem really," Diane responded, her expression softening. "I've actually been really lonely."
Gohan felt a small blush creep onto his cheeks, touched by her honesty. "I'm sorry to hear that," he said quietly.
Diane's eyes lit up with curiosity. "But why are you so hurt? Did you get into a fight?"
Gohan closed his, struggling to find the right words. "Yeah, something like that," he replied vaguely, not wanting to dive into the painful details. "It was… pretty tough."
Diane tilted her head, her expression a mix of concern and fascination. "I hope you're okay now! I dont really life fighting but you seem really strong, even if you're hurt."
He smiled shyly at her words. "I just wish I could have done more…"
Diane leaned in closer, her eyes filled with understanding. "It's okay! You did your best, and that's what matters! You just need to rest now, okay?"
He nodded slowly, feeling the warmth of her encouragement seep into his heart. After a few moments of awkward silence, Diane stood up and left the cave, her massive form disappearing into the light outside. Gohan watched her go, feeling a strange mixture of curiosity and apprehension about what lay beyond the cave's entrance.
Moments later, she returned, her arms laden with an assortment of bright fruits and small pigs,"I thought you might be hungry!" she chirped, her excitement infectious as she carefully placed the food on the ground.
Gohan's eyes widened at the sight of the fruits, their vibrant colors catching the dim light. "Wow, thanks!" he said, a hint of a smile breaking through his sadness.
"I'll roast some of the pigs for you! They're super delicoius!" Diane said, clapping her hands together in delight.
Gohan carefully laughed, wincing slightly as he did so. He looked up at Diane, who was also laughing while preparing the meal. After a moment of shared laughter, Gohan felt a warmth spreading through him. But then, as the laughter died down, he waited a few seconds, his curiosity getting the better of him. "Why are you so big?" he finally asked.
Diane's eyes widened in mock surprise. "That's rude to ask a lady!" she replied playfully, her tone teasing.
Gohan felt a blush creep across his cheeks, unsure how to respond. But before he could say anything, Diane burst into laughter again. "Just kidding~ I'm a giant, silly!"
Gohan's eyes widened, and he was visibly shaken. "I thought giants were just bed time stories for little kids," he said, his voice a mixture of disbelief and fascination.
Diane grinned, clearly enjoying his reaction. "Nope! Giants are real!"
Gohan blinked , absorbing the revelation with an o shaped mouth. "I've never seen one before," he admitted. "I didn't even know they existed."That's strange. I've never even read about an entire race of giants existing on Earth before. He thought.
"Well, now you have! And I promise I'm not going to eat you or anything!" she said with a playful wink.
Gohan chuckled nervously. "Speaking of eating, is the food done?"
Diane laughed lightly, her eyes twinkling. "You really are hungry, huh? Well, I'd say five more minutes until it is!"
As she spoke, Gohan realized he would need help eating. His body ached, and lifting his arms felt like an insurmountable challenge. "Um, I think I might need a little help," he admitted, looking down at the roasted pigs with longing.
Diane's expression softened. "Of course! Just tell me what you need," she said, moving closer, her enormous hands ready to assist. Gohan watched as she picked up a piece of meat with careful precision, bringing it to his mouth. The delicious smell made his stomach rumble, and he opened his mouth, grateful for her kindness.
"Just like this, okay?" Diane said, smiling encouragingly. "I'll help you eat until you feel better!"
Gohan nodded, feeling a mixture of gratitude and embarrassment as he accepted her help, savoring the first bite of food he'd had in what felt like ages.
After devouring five roasted pigs and the entire bad of fruits, Gohan leaned back with a satisfied smile. "Phew, I'm stuffed!" he exclaimed, feeling the warmth of happiness wash over him.
Diane's eyes widened in astonishment. "Im glad you like but that's more than what I normally eat!" She looked at him with a mix of disbelief and admiration, momentarily lost in thought, a faint blush creeping onto her cheeks as she wondered where it all went inside his small yet muscular frame.
Gohan noticed her staring and chuckled awkwardly, pulling her out of her trance. "Hey uh, do you know where we are?" he asked, curious about his surroundings.
Diane tilted her head, puzzled. "How do you not know this? We're in Britannia!" she replied cheerfully.
"Britannia?"
So that's done. A vey short first chapterwith like 2k words.
So I find it kinda difficult to write diane since theres not a lot of sds story that covers her childhood and so its hard to write her as most in-character as possible.
If you are worried about King, don't cause i have plans for him.
Alright thats all, thanks for reading. I'll try to post regularly.
